How to Solve Abuse of Hard Drugs

Hard drugs, drug abuse and drug addiction have become a true plague in the United States nowadays. What is at the foundation of this problem, and how can we solve it? There is a saying in the wisdom of Kabbalah that “You are born, you live, and you die against your will.” Our very existence here leads us all to ask fundamental questions about life, such as “Who are we?” “What are we living for?” and “What is the meaning of life?” If we feel that we have no answers to these questions, or a path to receive their genuine answers, then we feel a great inner burden, and if this burden is coupled with all the tensions in our daily lives, then drug addiction can become a place where we find ourselves in order to try and escape from such burdens. However, these questions and situations in our lives come in order to advance us to a more positive state, and drug abuse delays the time it takes for us to realize this positive shift. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us that we must learn about the meaning of life, its purpose, and the process we undergo. It is a wisdom that tells us about us. By finding how we can answer the existential questions that we all share in a tangible and practical manner, we will solve the problems of drug abuse and drug addiction.
