Conversations With Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman - To be ready to pass the Machsom (barrier)

Student: Rav, it’s your turn to say how you prepare yourself for the Congress.

M. Laitman: I prepare myself for the Congress by going over all the materials that exist in the notebooks of Baal HaSulam and Rabash. It’s a wonder that I discover new things there.

Student: Do you have an expectation for several people to cross the Machsom in this Congress out of the effort that everyone’s making? Pressure, a few friends from the world Kli, a Ten maybe that will come out into the air of the world. Is there always a chance for that, or you just don’t think about it? It’s up to the Creator.

Maybe I’ll ask from a different angle. Do you cross the Machsom on a certain date, in a certain state, or can a person cross the Machsom at any moment?

M. Laitman: When a person is ready.

Student: What does it mean that a person is ready to cross the Machsom?

M. Laitman: That there’s nothing in the world that can stop him from connecting with the Creator.

Student: Does a person know that he’s ready?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: When it happens, do you know that it’s going to happen, or it simply happens to you?

 M. Laitman: You examine yourself, and you give your okay. 

Student: So, we really ask, are you ready to cross the Machsom and you approve it. In a state like the Congress, for example, what does it give us in relation to crossing the Machsom?

M. Laitman: The Congress gives strength. That’s it.

Student: Once a person crosses the Machsom, what changes? It sounds like there’s no going back. Where can’t we go back to? What do we give up?

M. Laitman: I give up the corporeality of this world. 

Student: What supports the person in that state where he’s asked, are you ready? Do you want it?

M. Laitman: He feels that the Creator is there for him.

O3:27 Student: It sounds like it’s ___________ with the Creator. No friends. No nothing around. Eventually it comes down to you and the Creator face to face. This is what gives him the courage to go for it. Where is the Rav in this process when the student crosses the Machsom?

M. Laitman: The Rav supports him whenever he can.

Student: Do I have this sort of expectation, like hoping that there will be students or like another student asked. Someone reaches attainment; someone doesn’t, that it’s up to the Creator. Do you really want that to happen?

M. Laitman: Of course, I want it.

Student: When a person crosses the Machsom, does the Creator examine him in relation to his environment or is it the Creator and man that’s between them? Meaning, does the environment need to want a person to cross the Machsom, that the Creator’s calculation is with the environment, about that person or it’s between the Creator and man?

M. Laitman: Sometimes it’s this, sometimes it’s that.

Student: Do we bring each other into the crossing of the Machsom or does each cross according to his exertion?

M. Laitman: We stand, the entire group, for each and every one.

Student: Is Bnei Baruch ready to enter spirituality?

M. Laitman: This entire group?

Student: Those that are ready. Do you feel readiness? Is there something boiling?

M. Laitman: I don’t see a group.

Student: What do you see?

M. Laitman: I see individuals.

Student: That what they lack is being a group. Out of these individuals, are there such that are already ready to enter this state?

M. Laitman: To tell you that they’re ready. I don’t know yet.
