Baal HaSulam - Peace in the World (Using the Nature of Singularity as a Subject of Evolution in the Collective and in the Individual)

 

35. R. We see that this article is no longer as simple as it seemed to us in the beginning, it includes within it all of one should relate to the situations that we are going through right now, the corrections we need to undergo so let us relate to it in a very serious manner, write a few lines on the side and later we will ask so we may advance as we need it for ourselves to establish the proper perception of reality and for what we need in order to turn to the people of the world explaining to them how to advance along with all of the processes the world is undergoing right now, how it needs to work in general.

36. R. I don't think that we can ask questions here and understand the answers, it seems to me that maybe we should read another part.

Reader “The Conditions of Life in the Last Generation” (9:25 - 12:31)

37. R. Because we are, all of us, in a situation where if we do not accept the conditions of the last generation, we are fast approaching war and the end. Well perhaps let's read again.

R. All of you write questions later we will review them. This article needs to give us and is meant to give us an explanation for everything that happens to us in our lives currently and in the near future.

38. R. How is it that from the Creator who is entirely good such a bad world comes out?

Reader “Indeed there are two sides to the coin...”(15:09 - 20:58)

39. S. What is the singularity, is this the will to receive that we're speaking about here?

R. Yes, the will to receive for us is the most unique singular thing because it does not exist like in the still, vegetative an animal, our will to receive is built from the singularity of the Creator who is the will to bestow and so for us the will to receive is very unique and can direct us to what is opposite to it which is what it is doing.

S. It seems the singularity would be the will to bestow if it's coming from the Creator so there is a corruption, we corrupt the singularity into our own?

R. How can we be in a will to bestow if the Creator wants us to make a connection with him so in connection with him, we have to be arranged in a way where what he has we don't and what we have he doesn't and this is how we connect.

S. That is one thing and its opposite so that is a duality, confusing that it says a singularity, we know that the only thing that was created was the will to  bestow and the Creator was created egotistically...?

R. But to bestow to who, He has to bestow to someone if we talk about the upper force then we can't talk about anything because he has no quality that we can point to and say something, rather from the moment that in this upper force, which is abstract from everything else, the moment it starts having a thought they desire to build and create someone, to get in contact with someone to come and produce out of himself then we talked about the will to bestow. But the will to bestow it doesn't lack anything besides someone who wants to receive it.

S. And the goal of that someone who wants to receive is to come to take that singularity and turn it into the will to bestow upon others?

R. Yes, we need to develop our will to receive but with the intention to bestow to the Creator because we will be the vessels which fit his will to bestow. We have to develop the will to receive directly from him and towards what he wants and in that we will make equivalence of form with him because we do it only to allow him to bestow. Then we achieve equivalence of form, even though by that we grow our will to receive, our vessels of reception all the way to Ein Sof. Along with it we create equivalence of form, we resemble Him in the quality of the action which is bestowal because I received only to bestow to him and He bestows to give to me.

40. S. (25:03) It is really clear what he is saying and I can't imagine what the Kabbalists when they wrote it how they can see this so clearly, how when we go past into this new state now it should be right in our hands, how can we truly take this as the last day in our life to truly embrace this?

R. We make a restriction over our desires which means that we as if don't want to use them, but rather only use them to the extent that we can do it in order to bring contentment to the Creator. He wants to give and if I want to receive from Him because He wants to give and otherwise I'm not going to receive, then this is called receiving in order to bestow. That is what we need to achieve, everyone works out of his own nature the Creator's nature is the will to bestow, my nature is the nature to receive, but our intentions need to become identical. Me by receiving I give Him pleasure and Him by bestowing gives me pleasure, so it doesn't matter who gives and receives what matters becomes how we relate to each other. When the baby receives everything from his mother is he receiving or giving? How much pleasure does he give her? So everything depends on how we make an intention.

41. S. (27:08) What is the cause of development that brings us from point A to point B and what brings us to achieving point B?

R. The Creator created this world, the ten, for me and each and every one just like it writes in the article called “The Freedom” that the Creator puts a person's hand on the good faith and says to take it and then we develop our attitude to connection, so as to use it to bestow contentment to the Creator, to match ourselves to the Creator. I can bestow to the Creator only by being connected to the friends and in this way I evolve.

42. S. (28:15) When we read these two parts I wrote a few questions, in the beginning of the first excerpt he said that Baal HaSulam is going to explain the conditions for formulating peace in the world and at the end of the second part he is speaking about the individuals security and he says that peace in the world will come only when everyone understands that he has to live in the security and confidence is this correct?

R. Peaceful only happens on the condition that everyone will understand that peace is built upon the annulment from everyone and that all that is left is the will to receive in order to bestow. These are the conditions of the last generation, last generation means that all of us have to reach in order to bestow in a mutual way which is equivalent, exactly equivalent to bestowing to the Creator because there is no Creator besides what all together appears in the collective vessel

S. At the end of the first excerpt he writes in our generation it is worth taking this opportunity to resemble the Creator?

R. When we try to follow these conditions of the last generation we see this from all of the other essays.

S. Why does he write it so carefully, maybe we should....?

R. It depends on the time which he wrote it, at the time of writing at a later time he writes more decisively that we have to do this or that and to set up seminaries and schools to explain to the masses the conditions of life that he writes later. Earlier he wrote in a more subtle and gentle way.

43. S. (31:09) In the text we see this in our world now and obviously 50% one way and 50% the other and there's a part that doesn't want to know any of this, how can we explain to every part that he has to annul himself to reach peace?

R. Everyone has to give up their ego and recognize that we are living in a small world and we are being increasingly pressured by nature and if we don't begin to reorganize the world in a collective and beautiful way then we are going too soon ruin the world and ruin ourselves. I think this is clear to everyone the only issue is that the media and the leaders have to recognize that instead of thinking about just how they are going to finish their days and they don't care about everyone, they don't care about the whole world. Ultimately we are coming to the end of our life on planet earth, we will be a good example for civilizations from other places in the universe that will look at us and see the way in which you don't want to evolve.

44. S. (33:04) First of all I will be interested to know about the other forms of life in the  universe but this question, Baal HaSulam was telling us about the four attributes and then he begins to discuss the singularity....?

R. That is like you don't see spirituality because it will cause harm for you, you won't be able to advance correctly, similarly you can't see other civilizations and recognize them because all together where you are at now it will cause harm to you. Now keep going.

S. You are so amazing and we're just grateful to be your students as you are guiding us. The question is Baal HaSulam was talking about the four attributes and then suddenly he started speaking about the singularity in man?

R. We haven't tied these things together yet, you're right it will come in the next lesson.

45. S. (34:39) Can the singularity be expressed in the desire to connect?

R. It is the personal power of the person to develop himself yes.

S. You mentioned that we have to explain and give up on the ego to people, instead of that can we say that I can relinquish the part in me that harms the others?

R. Bit by bit yes, slowly when he harms others that is the ego.

S. If humanity doesn't see ego as everything that I am?

R. I understand if I receive a little bit more from the other than the other it's not called ego but when I harm others openly this is called ego, I understand yes correctly it needs to be explained in a way that is clear to everyone yes.

46. S. (35:55) Baal HaSulam writes in this article that the source of every construction extends the source of every destruction, question is how did the two sides be attained in one vessel when it seems as though each degree comes as its opposite?

R. Because that is how it is built that each and every next state cancels the previous state this is the contradiction that exists between the levels because that is why and how they exist and rise above each other. In philosophy this is referred to as this law, something in Russian, there is such a concept and philosophy.

47. S. (37:02) We are experiencing singularity and it's limited form in order to have something to correct and rise above?

R. Through the group, the uniqueness you begin to build it by building you begin to feel it by building it, you can't feel anything unless to the extent that you build this phenomenon inside the ten, this is the only way to uncover reality to discover new things to discover ourselves and ourselves is not me it is we. In spirituality ten means one.

48. S. (38:02) He explains about singularity but he says that it is the way he uses his nature as the development of the individual, but he is very vague, this is how I see it as he doesn't really explain how to use your singularity or how to get there?

R. If I were to speak to him I would ask him to write another whole book instead of this one short article, true you are correct. He probably had his own thoughts.

S. He also writes that it is not clear what to do, he says there are people who are on the other side and they are using the other nature but they are very few in society and that is it, it doesn't say anymore what should I do?

R. This is what he writes: what do you want from me? He writes that I saw those who rise are few correct.

49. S. (39:32) Is this article hinting that the only solution is you using the singularity for the common good is if we reach love with your friend as yourself and then everybody has to receive this path?

R. Exactly you are correct.

50. S. (39:58) He mentions you mentioned other civilizations, you said for now....?

R. I'm not talking about that right now.

S. I'm talking about us, for us to be in bestowal this is what is going to open the ability to see the spiritual world?

R. I'm not talking about them, I told you and you still try.

S. Thank you.

R. It will appear gradually to us in our development, the more we open our perception, our understanding then we will see other things that exist. what I'm asking you is this, we can't let it go so easily, it is abstruse, it is clothed, it doesn't sit well within us directly, it is very convoluted. Because it explains to us how unique is the connection between corporeality and spirituality, there is the man, the group and human society, our development throughout the generations and the inner qualities of man and the qualities of society, the connection with godliness there is everything in this. Peace in the world is how to bring our world to a complete state, to a complete shape, even the question that he poses is all inclusive so we're not going to be done with this article and we can't tell ourselves that we are as we will have to go back to it maybe in 6 months or a year and again. In the meantime, I ask you during the day to open it up and read a piece, and another segment and another segment to see how it gradually increases, more starts sitting in you.

51. S. (43:15) Baal HaSulam writes the article and actually starts from the beginning saying, is this a flag for Bnei Baruch without doing everything in this article we can't reach the end of correction?

R. I don't know, our conditions are different, of the last generation, different than it used to be so I can't tell you a hundred percent how it needs to happen in us, to materialize in us. We are in a state of the last generation and we have to realize how it is suitable for the last generation. At least to tell everyone about it and to penetrate into humanity as much as possible.

52. S. (45:02) What is the big problem of the individuality that it controls the ego or the way we use it? 

R. Singularity means that everyone sees himself as the only one who exists and all the others are just to serve me including the Creator.  This is the form of uniqueness that we have and it comes from the Creator himself who is the one and only in the world. So, we have to rise above this point where we use this point in the opposite way. Instead of everyone else serving me, I use myself to serve everyone.

53. S. (46:01) Thinking of suffering, I'm thinking of our unity, the unity of the Jews and I'm thinking of our dissemination, in these things is there one thing that's going to bring the world to the revelation of the Creator or is it three things together?

R. We come to the purpose of creation when we know Israel, the Light and the Creator are one, meaning those who are Israel are those who yearn to be like the Creator by the light that reforms and the Creator Himself who is a force of love and bestowal if we connect all of them together, all of those three then we reach the goal.

54. S. (47:20) In the second excerpt we read he writes that there can't be an unsatisfied minority. How can there be a condition that everybody is satisfied?

R. I don't know but he writes that this is what we have to come to, the correction has to be a complete one.
