Reading item #5: (00:22) “Now you will understand what was written…” 

1. S. (05:37) If you can explain a bit, what the difference is between the expanding of the wisdom and the expanding of the knowledge?

R. This did not exist in the previous generation, it's like in our generation, where nevertheless; look, from the beginning of the previous century until today, how this wisdom has expanded and been accepted amongst many people. This is a sign that we are coming closer to some form of solution because, nevertheless, even quantitatively, we have today thousands that know toward which the books are disclosed and the knowledge of the wisdom. So, you could say that the leap is apparent.

S. I understand what you said, but what I still don't get is the difference practically between the expanding of wisdom and the expanding of reason, if it's even relevant?

R. No, it's like he's as if putting them, he’s clothing, he’s like bundling them together.

2. S. (07:29) What needs to happen for the wisdom to expand in all of the nation of Israel?

R. That's a problem, if it does not expand by those who are now in the wisdom, then it will spread through harsher, sharper means, through pain.

S. Everybody has to learn the wisdom?

R. Not that they will have to learn, but rather to come close to it and to recognize it, to be closer to one another since that is the structure of reality that obliges us to do so. Where we must be the source of the wisdom to all of the nations, hence we need to be connected and filled with the light of the Lord.

S. And it has to be in us before it goes to the Nations?

R. Yes, that's why all of these things and those of us that are with us, lately, the pressures, the pain, all that's happening to us is all so that we will observe that which is given to us to do, that’s it.

3. S. (09:34) In what does the expanding of the wisdom depend on?

R. The expansion of the wisdom depends only on human beings, first of Israel, who understand that they must accept the wisdom and continue it and bring it to all the nations of the world.

S. So that depends on the ones studying that it expands or the broken state that they are suffering?

R. Both, it depends on which form in which the people take it and accept it and understand the need for spreading it; it all depends on us.

S. And what depends on us to receive the wisdom in order to pass it on?

R. Only in the connection between us.

S. And how is that connected with the nation and in humanity?

R. We need to advertise the best method of Kabbalah in the whole world, so that whoever is ready to receive it, to hold on to it, will come close to it.

S. So the world is going through difficult suffering and the nation of Israel, but they don't need the wisdom?

R. So the expansion of the wisdom in the whole world includes, also people to know what it depends upon, just like we need to open for ourselves now and understand that the expansion of the wisdom of Kabbalah in us is a solution to our entire situation. And it's not that we are doing an exchange of hostages and all of those things, that's not going to help anything. Only the extent to which we will be closer to the revelation of the Creator in our world, that's how we will merit bringing the whole world closer to the upper force.

S. But here humanity finds solutions for everything?

R. That's like us, look at the people of Israel and you will see why; also, just like us we're constantly finding more and more paths to elude or escape from our obligations and that's the way it is in the world too.

S. Exactly, so I see our difficult war where there’s a ceasefire, a hostage exchange, but you don't need.

R. Everything is found in the world to receive as there are no other ways; however, they don't yet understand that the solution needs to be above the will to receive.

S. Why does the nation need the wisdom of Kabbalah?

R. First of all, it's the will of the Creator that the whole world will come closer to Him, and “They shall all know Me from the greatest to the smallest.”

S. That's the Creator's will but what about the will of the nation, they don't need it.

R. The will of the people is not important, it needs to change.

S. How will it change because suffering and blows doesn't change it?

R. We have yet to see, thank God, not suffering and not blows, let's hope that we will come to corrections without the sufferings and blows that are written in the Prophets.

S. So how in such a state where the will to receive is giving itself solutions that people will get an understanding and a need for the wisdom of Kabbalah?

R. I don't know, if you're asking me, like he writes about the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and expanding it to the whole world, that is what we need, what else can I add?

4. S. (14:30) We are disseminating.

R. Let’s say.

S. We are trying, the Creator is giving suffering and awakening points in the heart.

R. Yes.

S. But we are working in one society and the Creator is working in a different society and there's no connection. Will we ever be able to work with the Creator together?

R. When you enter into connection with Him then that's how it will be.

S. We’ll feel that we have common work?

R. Yes, yes.

5. S. (15:15) I want to continue a previous question: Why isn’t it enough that there are a few thousand people studying every morning, doing the work, being persistent, working in the tens? Why do we need to disseminate the wisdom to the whole nation?

R. Probably Kabbalists see the picture in a more whole and complete manner and therefore these thousands and thousands that are in the people of Israel, they all need to be connected between them, and between them and the Creator.

S. We see, like after every war the miracle stories, one guy got a bullet in the Book of Psalms, and probably a lot of people will start looking for religion. After trauma, there are such cases.

R. But we're not talking about that.

S. Right, that's what I'm saying, it seems that it's satisfying people who are looking for something.

R. No, no, no, that works according to the will of the Creator that's awakening in them, so we think that the Creator will awaken them in a much more, in a much greater way, much more essentially be able to work towards Him.

S. So what do we need to say, at this time, to the nation?

R. We, ourselves, need to go in our way and with that advertise to all the people what is through it.

S. What, that connection is a good thing?

R. Not just of connection but how to advance to this and how to understand where we are, and from all the introductions and all the things that we can take out, to advertise it. You understand these things no less than me.

6. S. (17:29) Baal HaSulam writes that it's not enough to tell them about it, you have to bring them to seminaries to study about this. And so, the nation doesn't study the wisdom when they're at war and they have to come, like we are sitting here, and come to a place and invest time and study it. So where do we meet this demand, how can we help this nation to devote part of their life to this study?

R. We need to do all that is in our power through the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and bringing the materials closer to the multitude of people. And the Creator will do his part, as He will give them the desire, the pressure, for them to want to come closer to this.

S. I'm getting a feeling from what he writes that we need to build an infrastructure, true, to give an opportunity for the nation to reach in an organized way, to come and study this, and engage in this.

R. That's not within our powerhouse, we, what's you’re saying is not within our mind; look at what we could have done, to build another building, another something, it's nevertheless not enough. But to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah and for it to be received amongst the people in the state, today, also as much as we are doing, you can see the result. The results are really minuscule. If you have recommendations, please, we are all going to want it, we want to perform it, to execute it, if it's in our possibilities.

7. S. (20:04) The spreading of the wisdom, we can describe it as like a medicine spreading in a sick body and it's healing them, right?

R. Yes let’s say.

S. So the sick body?

R. Will want to receive it.

S. So the sick body doesn't know about its disease, or does partially, and doesn't want it, and there's also a third state that this body starts wanting it. So the question is the effort for this remedy to expand in this body, that remedy, the wisdom, is that also what will create a desire in the nation of Israel to heal? The question is, is the expanding of the wisdom, our dissemination, will that also create a desire in the nation that supposedly they don't have the desire for it?

R. That all depends on the reforming light that our audience and all those who will come will draw.

S. Hypothetically speaking, if tomorrow the nation of Israel will start hearing, I don’t know, five minutes of Zohar before they go to sleep, will that affect them?

R. I don't think so, I don’t think so; here there should be an awakening, which is much more massive, internal, from within the heart, I don't know, it's not, it's the Creator's work, not my work. But we as much as possible will come close to it and will merit to be that bridge which comes from the Creator to all the people of Israel and to the whole world. 

8. S. (22:24) We see in the war that there are groups that want to be connected, our forces and our unity and all that, but actually, it doesn't sound rational. There's an army, let it fight, there's nothing about unity or not, it's still happening, and that desire still awakening.

R. Yes.

S. So is the need to reveal the Creator, which is a higher degree, can that also come from such an unclear phenomenon, that suddenly a desire to discover the Creator will awaken beyond connection?

R. I didn't understand what it is to discover the Creator beyond the connection.

S. We see that there are a lot of people connecting, you see that there are gatherings, and desires to connect, but there's no Creator in that tendency to connect, there's a connection, a regular one.

R. Well?

S. What else needs to happen, or can it happen, to awaken from this connection or from our dissemination a need to reveal the Creator?

R. So it will be clear to people that they need to discover the secret of their life, the purpose of life, why they are suffering, and where does all that they're going through comes from. This needs to be revealed and it cannot be revealed unless through the questions, the suffering, the seeking.

S. So in this connection that exists for now, can we explain that it's not a sufficient connection but there has to be a higher level to attain, to get rid of the suffering and pain?

R. Continue, yes, we need to explain that.

9. S. (24:39) What does it mean that we were successful in disseminating the wisdom by sitting here in the lesson, by being on campus, by hitting ‘the like’ on a post, what does it mean that we are successful in disseminating?

R. You read together with me the sources, so from here you can also give answers. 

S. What is we succeeded?

R. We succeeded, meaning we can reveal the Creator to the whole world.

S. So until a person doesn't sit himself down and start studying?

R. He doesn't need to study for them to want to reveal the Creator who fills the whole world, the upper force that fills everything, no more than that.

S. That's enough, that desire?

R. Yes.

10. S. (25:50) What does it mean son of David?

R. What is ‘Messiah’, son of David, it's that from the Malchut of David, King David, we get as a result of that the King Messiah. That means illumination that shines upon everyone and raises us to the degree of the Creator.

11. S. (26:39) Can you explain what wise of the heart means?

R. Wise of the heart?

S. Wise of heart.

R. Yes, I understand, these are those who have prepared the desire to receive, to receive the light of Hochma in order to bestow; they are called ‘the wise of the heart’ because their heart is filled with the light of Hochma.

12. S. (27:27) About something we read that the Messiah, son of David, “Will only come in a generation that is entirely worthy or the opposite and if righteous are found in the generation so they will help, and if they disappear, so the Messiah cannot come.” What are those righteous who don't let redemption come?

R. Because they didn't work all the way, in a complete manner, that's why they cannot reveal the light to the whole world.

S. So it's talking about us, that we can’t disseminate?

R. Yes.
