1. Rav’s Introduction: In all of the text that Kabbalists have left us, there are sometimes these perils, these very special ones like ‘There Is None Else Besides Him’, and others like that. So we have here, also a very special article concerning the environment. We especially pay attention to the environment because on it depends all of our steps, all of our advancement, and how we reach the entrance to spirituality, which is really our goal, how to get out of our Egypt and reach the land. Land means a desire, a free land, a free desire, a free desire called ‘’Israel’’, meaning that we will leave, let go of our ego, of concern for myself, each one thinking about himself, and we will start to yearn only to be concerned through the environment about others, and from that also to the Creator. We think that it's easier to aim ourselves to the Creator, and it's harder to do it towards the environment, but in truth it is not so. We don't understand it, maybe we're not so aware of it, but specifically to aim ourselves to the Creator, it is simply impossible unless we aim ourselves to the benefit of the environment. As Rabash passes on to us the necessity, the urgency to work in love of friends. This is why we have here this very short article that Rabash heard from Baal HaSulam. Let us read it and let’s try to understand it in depth, also.

Article 919 (03:05) Concerning the Environment

2. R. (04:16) What does it say here? First of all, it is written in the Midrash Tanhuma, that is, it is a very ancient Midrash. That the people of Israel, those who want to get out of their ego towards the Creator, to get straight to the Creator ‘’Yashar-El’’, this is why they are called ‘’Israel’’, when they want to run away from their ego and reach the revelation and adhesion with the Creator, it is considered that they are running away from Egypt. That is, it's not a geographical or historical issue or anything like that, but rather anyone who wants to rise from the feeling of this world to the feeling of the upper world, and to discover the Creator and the eternal complete life, on the same degree as the Creator. He wants to run away, as we call it, to run away from Egypt. Then, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, seemingly the main force of our ego that is holding us inside of it, does not let us run away even though we want to run away. Following those who try to run away, he sends his soldiers in order to stop them and not let them come out of Egypt. That is a person who wants to rise above his ego and to be connected with everyone, and to bestow to the Creator, and to be on the degree of connection and love, above our nature. He feels that he is being stopped by certain forces that are constantly pulling him in his mind and his heart back into this life, this limited miserable life of ours what we call Egypt. And here, there is a question, where are these forces, what is their nature, how can we cope with them?

So it says, that if you say that these are truly egoistic forces, pure forces, it's just the ego, then no. Because a person can already get rid of those. You can see them, that they are hindering him and that they don't belong to him, these forces. This is why it says, if you say they were from Egypt, that they came from the Egyptians, incorrect, because the Egyptians are a will to receive. If you say that they are from Pharaoh, that they truly belong to the clear control of the ego, then no. Because it was already written, ‘’the hand of the Lord is on your livestock.’’ What does that mean? That there is no longer there a clear control of the ego, on one hand. On the other hand, there is also no clear control of the Creator there, so it's not Pharaoh, nor the Creator. If you say they came from Israel, but ‘’Israel’’ are already those who already want to come out of Egypt and therefore, it says, ‘’our livestock too shall go with us.’’ That is, they want to come out of Egypt, so who are those forces about which it says in an allegorical manner that Pharaoh, the will to receive, wants to send them to those who want to leave him, to come out of him, from the control of Pharaoh to the control of the Creator and to catch them. This is precisely where we are right now, in this transition in the exit from Egypt. So the questions are like that.

Thus, we learned that rather it was from those who fear the word of the Creator, among the servants of Pharaoh. That is, we have a combination here, a special combination, between those forces that grab a person and do not want to let him come out of the egoistic desire to the Creator. In what? There is a combination here, on the one hand, it is those who fear the word of the Creator but along with that among the servants of Pharaoh. We learned, it says, in all kinds of other places that those, who fear the word of the Creator, were an obstacle to ‘’Israel’’. Meaning, those ‘’Israel’’ who want to come out and reach straight to the Creator to discover the upper force, the upper governance, the upper system, what we call the Creator, that they want to discover it. So those who want to discover where do we truly exist, in which system, in which world, so there are forces that are hindering us and what is their nature? These forces are composed of two, on the one hand, they are those who fear the Creator, on the other hand, they are under the control of Pharaoh, they are the servants of Pharaoh. That is, they remain egoistic, as they are, they do not fight with their ego but to the opposite, their ego is helping them to perform all kinds of actions as if these are actions that the Creator wants people to do.

Rav reading and explaining: ‘’This means that the primary guard is from an environment of those who fear the Creator. They are Pharaoh’s servants.’’ Meaning that they are composed of those who fear the Creator on the one hand and Pharaoh's servants on the other hand. ‘’Pharaoh is as the ARI said, that the exile in Egypt was that the Daat [reason/knowledge] of Kedusha [holiness] was in exile. Pharaoh would suck out the abundance.’’ He would take to himself all of the abundance that a person attains along the way and it's the same with us. We want to advance and seemingly we do advance a little bit, we feel something, we understand something, we attain something, again it disappears, there's a descent and it's all swallowed up, as it says, that everything that they built was all swallowed in the ground as if they didn't build anything in holiness. ‘’Pharaoh would suck out the abundance, meaning he is the will to receive. They are called “working only for their own benefit” and they have no connection to the work of bestowal, for their sole intention is only to please themselves. The keeping should mainly be from them, since on the outside,’’ In those people who fear the Lord but are servants of Pharaoh, on the outside, externally, it seems as though they are working, meaning keeping all kinds of actions, that it is written that you need to keep these things in order to get closer to the Creator, in order to keep the Creator’s will. ‘’engaging in Torah and prayer enthusiastically and making all kinds of precisions.

For this reason, they are called “those who fear the Creator. Otherwise, they would not be called so.’’ Meaning, they have it, they are willing to do everything you tell them but, and yet as it says, ‘’internally, they are enslaved to Pharaoh, meaning that their only aim is to satisfy their own wishes and needs.’’ So that it will be to their benefit whatever they are doing and never truly in order to bestow. The fact is, that they're not doing it through the environment, the environment is the test. If they would be concerned about everyone, they would care for others, for the people around them, for the whole world, then they could see how much they are not aimed to that, but they don't even look in the direction ‘’and they have no connection to the work of bestowal.’’ Because there is no way for them to see deliberately, they’re organizing themselves in such a way, isolating themselves from everyone so as not to bestow, not to one another between them, and also not to the people, or to humanity. ‘’Such an environment creates an obstacle to a servant of the Creator’’ Why? Because one who truly wants to get out of his ego, to spirituality, to bestowal, so why is that not good for him to see such people? ‘’because he wants to walk on the path of the Creator and sees their work’’

The way that they’re performing all kinds of actions. ’’When they engage in fearing the Creator,’’ that they want to perform certain actions that seemingly the Creator is demanding from them. ‘’and he is impressed by their zeal, since when they work as Pharaoh’s servants, their bodies show no resistance’’ Meaning, if they're doing it on behalf of their ego, in the direction that they gain from it ,then it's the opposite. You have forces, there is persistence, a necessity and there is truly a demand, more and more, to perform all kinds of actions. ‘’because the efforts they make are also only for the body.’’ Meaning, the will to receive. ‘’Thus, there is no resistance here at all. On the contrary, the body agrees to give them strength.’’ Because it seems to it that it is gaining and profiting. ‘’It follows that such an environment is an obstacle to Israel, to one who wants to be “Israel” Yashar Kel, to reach identification with the Creator ‘’and not among Pharaoh’s servants’’ to remain in the will to receive. “Because a servant of the Creator is impressed by the work’’ One who wants to come out of his ego, he sees how weak he is. Each and every day, even a few times today, he has ascents and descents and if he advances even more, then he sees that each and every moment he has ascents and descends.

He doesn't see where do these people take forces so that they are so much from one day to the next they are capable of doing all kinds of actions with enthusiasm, with devotion. ‘’Because a servant of the Creator is impressed by the work of the servants of Pharaoh, he likes the servitude of Pharaoh’s servants’’ He also wants to go like that, to study, to connect with the friends, and to constantly turn to the Creator and demand help from Him, and to do everything with that pertains to the advancement. So he is lured after them and he looks to them and it seems to him that they have something that he does not have, that enthusiasm, that strength. But he doesn't quite understand where do they get it from, so that he doesn't get it. ‘’Thus, he absorbs their thoughts and intentions and thereby regrets all the efforts he has given in the work of bestowal. Henceforth, he will have no strength to continue the work of bestowal.’’ Meaning, if he looks at them it greatly weakens him from going in bestowal, because for them it's not customary to go for bestowal, the matter of Lishma, for her sake, there is no such thing, then, he looks at them and the matter of Lishma is a hidden matter, nobody knows how you're working. Maybe you're just acting on the outside that you’re working in order to bestow, but you are in order to receive.

Therefore, this is a great obstacle for one who wants to be in bestowal when he looks at such people, who are working only in order to receive the next world so that they will have, what we call, an investment or assets for the future so they gain something. So he looks at them and he is greatly impressed by what they are doing. So, again, ‘’such an environment is an obstacle to Israel,’’ Meaning, to one who wants to be ‘’Israel’’ and not to be among Pharaoh’s servants, that he is doing it in order to reach in order to bestow, not to remain in order to receive. ‘’Because a servant of the Creator is impressed by the work of the servants of Pharaoh, he likes the servitude of Pharaoh’s servants and is lured after them. Thus, he absorbs their thoughts and intentions and thereby regrets all the efforts he has given in the work of bestowal. Henceforth, he will have no strength to continue the work of bestowal.’’ If he surrenders before him, that's it, he gets from them the strength, the enthusiasm that we need to work and we are profiting and gaining this world and the next world, the Garden of Eden is ahead of us. Whatever you do, you just keep adding and adding all the time, ‘’collecting a penny and a penny that gets to a great sum.’’

Then, a person is lost, all of his work is, instead of reaching in order to bestow, spirituality, it is the opposite. It already belongs to corporeality, to the will to receive, and he just ends there his egoistic forces. ‘’But in an environment of unaffiliated,’’ Free people, now he says, not people who have a certain goal to perform all kinds of actions in order to reach the next world, in order to reach some seemingly spiritual gain, but really it’s in order to receiving but rather free, unaffiliated. What does it mean? That they're not the type that fears the Creator, they have no association with the Creator, they are living a normal life, like all people, without any connection to religion, or any relation to the Creator. So, ‘’they have no connection to him because he knows that there is nothing to learn from them. At that time, there is no connection of thoughts because he knows he must not learn from the actions and thoughts of the unaffiliated. Hence, such an environment does not pose an obstacle.’’ Meaning, you can be in contact with them and they cannot lure you in any way. Whereas, ‘’Conversely, those who fear the Creator and are Pharaoh’s servants do pose an obstacle for Israel,’’ To those who want to come out of their ego and attain the upper world. ‘’one must run far away from them.’’ Meaning, run away like from a fire. This is actually, this short article, that it is very important and stern.

3. S. (24:25) This article is very moving and it evoked a few questions. Is Rabash writing about three people?

R. There's all kinds of different lanes by which a person can develop. He goes with the collective, the public, humanity in general who just want food, sex, family, money, honor. Knowledge, that's it, the good life. Or he is going with those who want this world and the next world, or people who are not operating for the benefit of Pharaoh or for the benefit of the Creator but in the middle. They want their ego and whatever they gain in the wisdom of Kabbalah as they study the wisdom of Kabbalah. They, by that, want to profit in the next world, in order to receive. So these are different kinds of people and maybe it is the same person, but when he is in the flow of his life he goes through certain such states. We saw, more than once, that people come to study with us get very enthusiastic about the wisdom of Kabbalah and later on it turns out that they wanted to know the upper system and how to manage it in order to manage this reality, the universe, and planet earth, etc. They wanted to receive upper forces in order to become the managers of the world. They come here and they want spiritual perception, spiritual sensation, to live according to the spiritual laws but not to get out of themselves, but rather to use them in some other way.

He says here that if you say that they were from Egypt, clearly we're saying that we need to remove our will to receive. If you will say that you are taking Pharaoh with you, no, it is forbidden to take our ego with us. So how can we understand precisely how to combine this world and the spiritual world? There's a question and it is still not so clear, because we don't know how to work precisely, so for this question there are people who build a process called ‘religion’. Where do religions come from? Religions developed a long time ago but mostly their existence is because we can seemingly use spiritual forces above this world, whatever we have here, in order to use them for our benefit, to make something right in our life, to know something about the future, to do something in the present to be more safe, more confident, to better understand, all entirely on what you don't have on the level of Bina, not in the force of bestowal. There is no intellectual power in the force of bestowal. We don't think about something we may receive from spirituality and use it somehow. We simply want to belong to spirituality, to enter the degree of Bina, to incorporate there. This is not exactly what people think. Many people come to us and later on they leave because they discover they were not thinking about spirituality, about reaching bestowal, to rise above the ego, to forget about themselves, and to care for others. That is the degree of Bina above the Malchut.

4. S. (30:44) Rabash says that the biggest difference is in the intention of those who fear the Creator and work for themselves, and those who serve the Creator. I tell myself that I truly want to work for the Creator and force myself to work for Him but am I working as those who fear the Creator?

R. This is why you want to get out of the control of Pharaoh, the control of the ego, because otherwise you will not be able to aim your thoughts and desires outside of your ego. So then you remain inside Egypt, as we call it. You must gradually aim yourself through the upper force, according to your desire, according to your request. So you ask, the Creator fulfills your request, and you gradually begin to feel that you would like to rise above your ego. I want to disconnect from my ego and I want to identify with it less and less. I feel that it is against me and discover that it is truly my enemy, my hater. Gradually this is what we discover. According to the hatred to our ego that is truly holding us, keeping us inside of it, we cannot rise above it. To the extent that we hate it, that we want to run away from it, we are already on the way to the exit from Egypt.

5. S. (32:58) The first paragraph says “thus we learned that those who fear the work of the Creator are an obstacle to Israel”. I thought we should come to the fear of not being able to bestow so how can it be an obstacle for Israel?

R. That's not quite correct. ‘Those who fear the Lord out of the servants of Pharaoh’ have both in them. On the one hand, they are fearful of the Creator, they want to be connected to the Creator but on the other hand, they don't want to come out of their ego. This combination is what brings the obstacle to people who want to reach the Creator and are willing to disconnect from their ego.

S. Does this message actually apply to those who want to have both worlds?

R. No. None of the Kabbalistic texts address those who want both worlds. It is written for those who want to truly get out of the will to receive and need to know what is hindering them on the way. There are people who live inside of their ego and this is their world. This is 99.9 % of all people. There are people who want to get out of their ego according to a drive that comes from the heart, from the point in the heart, and they are unique and are destined to rise to the spiritual degree, to the feeling of perception in order to bestow. There are such people in the world. The Creator connects them and arranges them together in such a way so that they will come closer to Him. This is us, let's say. There are also people who, on the one hand, want to be connected to the Creator, but on the other hand don't want to exit their ego, so they are both in this and in that.

Look at religion. Where does religion come from? The Kabbalists discovered the upper force, the purpose of creation, rising to the upper force and uniting with it, and all of these things. There were those that could not do that so bit by bit they changed this thing so that they can remain inside the egoistic desire and also be connected with the Creator. On the one hand, to be fearful of the Creator, and on the other hand, to be servants of Pharaoh, to do it from within the person's ego. They built religion out of this combination. When we want to come out in the direction of bestowing in the direction of the Creator, we must not have this combination. You should try to bestow in a way that is as clean and more and more pure each and every time. I don't quite want to talk about this. I'll answer a few more questions but really each and every one should think about it himself.

6. S. (38:36) How can we understand the difference between abandoning the ego for bestowal and the need to build above the ego?

R. I don't understand the conflict here from your question.

S. On one hand, it says to abandon the ego; on the other hand, it says we build sanctity upon the ego.

R. We're not running away from the ego. It says that we take all the vessels from Egypt when we come out of Egypt. You take everything out from the domain of the intention to receive: livestock, sheep, cattle, all the vessels, everything that you had in Egypt. This is the exodus from Egypt. I wish to get rid of the intention to receive for myself.

7. S. (40:22) What is the pure work of bestowal that you talked about?

R. What is the work of bestowal? Although I understand, I want, and I feel, the will to receive does not get refined. I want to receive everything for myself but I also have the strength and the goal to go above my will to receive. I am above it where I control it. I received the power to go against it from above, from the Creator. Then with this power that I received from the Creator I am above my will to receive and then I begin to see that I need the will to receive otherwise I wouldn't know what direction to go. I receive help against my will to receive as I rise above my will to receive. I acquire each time more and more the quality of bestowal, the quality of Bina, in this way. I don't know how to rise from Malchut to Bina, or what bestowal is. I don't know what Bina is, it is air. I don't understand, I don't feel it, and I have no grasp in it. When I aim myself in this anti-egoistic way specifically, I can approach the Creator more and more because Bina is the quality of the Creator.

8. S. (42:38) Are you talking about a personal goal of being transformed by the Creator from lo Lishma to Lishma?

R. No, because from the outset they are working for the benefit of the will to receive. They have no intention at all to rise above the will to receive in order to bestow. Try to monitor and keep note of your thoughts and intentions throughout the day. Try to think for the benefit of the other in little things, exactly for the benefit of the other, and not the Creator. There's no problem to bow down before Him because everybody's willing to do things for the Creator. How much your friends and the group repels you is relative. They are opposite you and you disagree with them. Try to bow down before them in spite of everything. It is more important to be a helper, to serve them in some way, to do everything for them, than to do everything for the benefit of the Creator, because from the love of the people we come to love of the Creator. Try and see how much you can hold on to it and how much it repels you. It is truly difficult work.

9. S. (45:27) We have heard that the corporeality of a friend is my spirituality. I’d like to support a friend going through certain difficulties in his life. I'm telling him that everything depends on the Creator and that everything will work out by investing in our way. Am I correct in supporting those who fear Pharaoh?

R. I can't answer the question because I don’t quite support whatever you recommend to one another. I think what we need to strengthen in our friends is the righteousness of the path and then they will decide in what way to invest more and where to invest less. I can't direct myself the way I am. Who's to say that what I'm doing is the right thing? I don't know. I have new thoughts and new directions each and every moment. How can I tell what the truth is? Am I already in truth? When we reach adhesion we will be in truth but for the time being we're only on the way to it and who knows how many extra rounds we have to go before we reach the concept of truth. I don't recommend anything to anyone other than to grow stronger in the path. Other than that I do not recommend more than that to people. What you have to do in your life but don't forget that getting stronger on the path is what will eventually help bring you to the correct form. That's it. I don't recommend anything more than that to people in life, business, and family life.

S. In the 10 we talk and we discuss things we want to help the friend.

R. You have to strengthen him in the righteousness of the path. Strengthen the walk on the path but do not push him in the direction that you think is correct. Don't make choices in his place regarding what to do in life. Just give him the foundation, what is here and there, and so on and so forth. The choice is ultimately his.

10. S. (48:42) How do I disconnect myself from my ego if I have fallen into an environment of the servants of Pharaoh?

R. Everyone in the world are servants of Pharaoh, anyone who is in his ego and we are all in our ego. The question is do we wish to remain inside this nature and finish our lives like that or do we wish to rise above it towards the spiritual nature and to feel what it means to be free from our nature. There's two states here: either to be the servant of the Creator inside our ego, the way we are all born, or to be those who come out of Egypt, out from under the dominion of the ego. It's either one or the other. There is confusion here. People try for many years to come out of their ego. That's how it took place in history. They saw that it's really, really difficult. So they decided to do half the work. Of course we want to be close to the Creator but we do not need to come out of our ego for that. This means that if they fear the Creator they are willing to do anything the Creator tells them, and on the other hand, remain within their ego and serve Pharaoh. There are three kinds. We refer to regular people sometimes as secular people. They only know how to survive and live in this world. There are those who try to reach the degree of the Creator to reveal Him and get to know Him and there are those who want both worlds. Both this world and the next world. Those who fear the Creator but work on serving Pharaoh do all kinds of actions that they think the Creator's demanding from him, even though the Creator only demands the correction of the hearts, correction of the desires. They think it's enough for them to perform such actions.

11. S. (52:05) You just described something really beautiful that is replacing your thoughts from thinking about myself to thinking about others. In fact I have experienced this solution already but is it useful you think, to write in some notebook the results of this as though I am a scientist who is writing down the results of a certain action. Because many times I find myself being in an ocean that is shaking me from side to side and I don't succeed in performing an action for the benefit of the other so what do you think would be a good exercise?

R. I am all for writing because the person who writes, that's how I feel, a person who writes he organizes his thoughts and that's how he advances in knowing the material and creating a systemic system from it. It’s good if a person writes, it's good. Other than that maybe write short things, maybe it'll be clear to others and try to disseminate it in different places. Take a look, maybe you'll be able to help others and this will be good for you.

12. S. (53:45) In the article it says, not only in the external world there are those who fear the Lord but also in inner work, if that is true how can we notice it, these thing in that state of those who serve Pharaoh and fear the Lord in inner work and if I get into that state how can I get out of it?

R. The whole difference, as he writes, is the matter of the environment. If we swap our regular environment, our human environment with our environment, our small environment Bnei Baruch and live in the 10, that's where the solution is. That's why everything depends on the environment. Who do I belong to? Who do I take as my upper one? Who do I take as the means for attaining the Creator? The environment becomes a means for attaining the Creator. I don't think of the environment that it will give me power but rather to receive forces from the environment in order to raise the environment and in it, to rise myself and present that to the Creator who will be able to clothe in us and enjoy us, that's what we need to do. Where each and every one of us, if it is in order to bestow, we have no other way to bestow in order to bestow but to raise the group on your hands towards the Creator. Because his pleasure is to fill them to connect those souls into the structure of Adam HaRishon. This gives Him pleasure and that's what I'm trying to do, this is the work of the Creator, the true work of the Creator.

S. If I identify that I myself am fearful of the Lord and serving Pharaoh is there a way to transition to just serving the Creator?

R. Of course we are sometimes in both states. Many people come to us and then they leave us because our work is difficult. We need, instead of the place of seemingly receiving a reward, we have to share it with everyone so it will be a true act of bestowal. We have many people who are with us for several years and then they decide it's not for them. It's better to close your eyes and decide I am going like everyone. There is above reason, below reason and within reason. That we understand all these states and to give people a free choice to do what they want to do in their lives. You want to be a religious person, go ahead be religious. There is the meaning of those who fear the Creator and serve the Pharaoh, you wish to be just a servant of Pharaoh. Then you are in your ego, and that you're not even aware that you are working not for yourself but for the Pharaoh. But imagine if you knew that each and every moment that you keep and carry out your own egoistic desire it's not your own desire but the desire, foreign force, how much you would hate it that it works you this way, that it enslaves you and tricks you. You don't even know about it, you are constantly worry about it and care for it, look at this horrible enslavement.

All the people in the world are in the will to receive and does not let us know that it controls us rather it controls us in such a way that we think that we are doing everything by ourselves. This is the meaning of being adhered to it and whatever we do for Him is actually for us. I'm sorry, what we do for us is actually for Him, it's not the same and where do I begin to peel myself off from Him, somehow remove myself from this ego. We begin to feel that it is a foreign quality and not that I have to leave it, somehow keep my distance from it, to be careful that I'm not doing everything for it. To constantly be conscious or aware that everything that I do and think and feel that is all within the will to receive, the enemy. How do I position myself in such a way that I will always be against it, if I will be able to see it in this way and depict this way with the help of the group more and more, then all my moments in life will be more carefully valued and considered, how do I spend them and where do I go with them and in what direction and then we'll acquire a new direction our development.

13. S. (01:00:57) How can I run away from those who fear the Lord and serve Pharaoh inside of me, I mean this is my nature?

R. Yes, that’s true it's only by trying to hold on to my thoughts just as we're discussing right now. That I am always inside my will to receive and it is always directing me for its benefit and I wish to feel this will to receive as a foreign force. Just as King Solomon called it, an enemy, a hater that our will to receive is our biggest hater and we have to hate it because to the extent that we hate it we are not under its rule, we seemingly move away from it and that's what we need to do. I need to try and see myself as much as possible, neutral. We have to look for how to make it possible and then accordingly I will understand that for me to be connected to the group, to the environment that is my salvation. Through the environment and if I connect to the Creator then I connect to the force that can influence me and this way it raises me above my ego. Then I begin to understand what it means to exist in two forces, in the force of reception in the force of bestowal. We gradually need to begin to recognize it, without this recognition that we won't be able to rise from in order to receive to an order to bestow. From Lo Lishma to Lishma. You will forever remain in your egoistic nature, and we will not go out of Egypt.

14. S. (01:03:43) A few minutes ago I heard you say a person should not wait for the environment to give him strength, but rather it will give him the opportunity to bestow what do you mean what does it mean?

R. What does it mean the opportunity to bestow? Rabash writes about it all the time, it says if you have not read Rabash’s articles about the environment the society, what do you mean, go and help the 10 as much as possible to stay connected.

S. About the question the women asked you said that one should expect, shouldn't expect that the environment will give you powers, what do you mean by that?

R. The environment can give me forces to the extent that I wish to receive forces from the environment. R. When I came to the wisdom of Kabbalah I met only a handful of Rabash's students, maybe five, six students with the Rabash they were as old as he was. One of them was even older than him. When I started studying I saw that there is such a thing, so huge and I wanted to reach it all my life and nobody knows about it. 16. S. (01:09:41) Nowadays we teach you a lot of people, many people go through our courses and it seems that every person who comes, comes for his own sake. He wants to discover his personal creator so how can we combine with what was said in this article concerning the environment?

R. This short article concerning the environment is not for beginners. You see when you get to it after studying for a few years, and there are people here before me who are on average studying 10-15 years. You see, from the beginning of the pandemic when we started the study's this way I didn't approach such an article right away about the environment. We shouldn't do it, we shouldn't teach others, it says, don't place an obstacle before a blind person. We need to help, like to our own little children, we have to help get them up on their feet and then gently, nicely, safely, advance. R. You have a 10 you need to live inside your 10, inside your small group first and foremost, like placing yourself in such a framework, you enter into it and you grow there. Only later you can come out of it and can be freely connected with the world. Right now what do you have in the world to work and take care of the family. To care for your family from which you will soon part when you die, to worry about your job, to promote yourself somewhere, to worry about money? What is the will to receive, this worldly will to receive? Food, sex, family, money, power, knowledge. This is where we are, but it’s in order to discover the nothingness of the will to receive, and be willing, and be ready to be completely disillusioned, totally. That’s what is needed. Humanity is coming to it quickly to this absolute total disillusionment, a few more exercises from the Creator and you’ll see. If you see how people are losing their billions, their power, their health, their families, if you see such things, then it will quickly take you out of the desire, aspiration to advance in these manners of the ego.

23. S. (01:24:06) It appears that the pressure of the Creator on humanity can leave people without bread? How will people be able to devote themselves to the Torah in such a state?

R. I'm not really worried about that, I'm not really worried. Because those who are worried about not having flour, not having bread, he will worry about having something else. The Creator fixes things. Although, in truth, in order to pull out of the egoistic desire, then of course, as Baal HaSulam writes, ‘’even war may come upon us,’’ waves of hunger and maybe another plague, you name it, climate disasters, anything can happen. There are many natural blows along the way, and the Creator uses them in order to shake us up and bring us to the realization of our lives, how miserable, that we have no choice but to rise above the egoistic nature which is what we see inside of our egos. 24. S. (01:26:17) I got the question about dissemination on this topic, people often come to us, they come with a certain perception which is close to what we spoke here and gradually and rather quickly they understand that we are talking about a different order of priority and then they simply leave. R. In the right way we have to explain to them. let's put it this way there are three kinds of people regarding your question. People like us, we want to rise above the feeling of this world, from this feeling of this world and live in it only in order to provide ourselves with a material existence. Because without material existence we cannot achieve the spiritual existence but what is important for us to attain the Creator and organize our life in order to be in adhesion with Him. This is group one, Israel. There's a second group that only wants corporeality, it is not developed beyond corporeality and then there's in between, they think they want to use both material and the spiritual force for their own benefit, so they are in between. We are approaching those who are in between who want to use spirituality in order to somehow to improve their corporeality, their health, financial situation, anything in life. But also somehow to some extent spirituality itself but their point in the heart is weak, dim, but we have to understand that is there any point in the heart as with anything else there are 4 phases with their root. If they have any disposition to spirituality, tendency to spirituality through even corporeal then we can really speak to them and to some extent give them some connection to spirituality even if they understand that is not for them and it does not interest them but the record will already be there. We will already be planting a seed in the ground, so what are you asking?

S. You clarified it very well so how do we reveal it in such a manner that it will draw them and it will not completely turn them off?

R. Only by not reading articles such as this, the meaning of the environment. We are talking about the wisdom of Kabbalah, to improve their lives and we explain to the bit by bit not in such a way as we explained verbally but by that the light reforms them, we bring them to advance and to explanations that caused the awakening of the light and it gives them the feeling that spirituality is really not to know how many angels are in heaven and what their names are. Spirituality is not about knowing the Preface to the wisdom of Kabbalah or the Study of the 10 Sefirot which is near learning because if I do not attain it, then it is dry and lifeless. But that spirituality is what we attain in our feeling that just as now I feel that I'm in a certain reality and there is a world here, people, friends and the world in general. 25. S. (01:31:43) How to put up with those who fear the Pharaoh inside of themselves?

R. That is a good question indeed many times a person is afraid of his own ego, that it may control him to such an extent that it will cover his eyes again and his heart in such a way that a person will not be aware that the ego is controlling him, just like all the people in this world. But people who already have some feeling or some understanding that there is spirituality, they are afraid of losing contact with spirituality, in their minds or in their hearts. Well in their hearts that is more important but it is a problem for beginners but even in their mind. I will be immersed again in this world and I will be in it and flowing in it like everyone else and I am afraid of this happening, it again and we should be afraid of it, fear guards us. This is why we need the environment, our environment to protect us, each of us. That is the meaning of the environment. That is what Rabash wrote about what he heard from Baal HaSulam. Concerning the environment that the environment can influence us in all kinds of ways but we have to organize the environment in such a way that it will protect us so that we will develop in it. Like a butterfly that comes out of a cocoon so when it is in the cocoon, it develops until this cocoon breaks up and it emerges and flies. So we need this environment especially in the beginning, look at the person develops in the uterus, it is completely closed guarding him, that is why we need an environment. The group has to be around the person in exactly this way and the person, he should actually sustain the environment and the environment should sustain the person that is the only way we can exist. We have no choice.

26. S. (01:35:13) Regarding the three groups you described regarding the task for dissemination, can we disseminate among those who are only for self-benefit?

R. We need to disseminate to everyone except for religious groups. The more Orthodox they are, the more we should avoid them, but otherwise to all the people freely and to the extent they approach us, we should show them what the wisdom of Kabbalah is. That it is not just some science or religion but a method that reveals to us the real perception of reality that we are in. It reveals to us to the extent we can discover another force that exists in us besides the force of the will to receive, the force of bestowal, the desire to bestow, besides the hatred that exists in each one of us there is also love. This is what we have to explain and to that extent, what is the wisdom of Kabbalah it is a method to reveal the actual reality that we are in. How can a person exist correctly in the world, if he doesn't know where he is? He doesn't know, all he knows is just a tiny fraction of his reality and even that is warped. He also doesn't know what to do with it and he sees that he lives and dies and then he doesn't know what happens then. He can explain it to him because he doesn't see it because it is not in your senses. So we have to explain these things to people that without it we will not know what is happening to us, how nature governs us, how we can interact mutually with nature and influence it and it will influence us. Because without it we can't, today we can already see that we exist on this tiny planet Earth in a very insecure way. The Earth underneath our feet is really beginning to quake. We have what to tell people about what is happening. I heard that there are many people who are with us even in the morning lesson, right.

R. Good, it is very great for us, we respect it.

27. S. (01:38:51) Should I work in the same way on the deficiency that I get from the dissemination as with the deficiency I get from the 10?

R. It is in the same direction, it is not contradictory but it is not the same. What you received from the 10 is the highest thing, although it does not seem to us this way because it is very close, so it becomes spoiled in your will to receive which is not corrected yet but still it is more important. Whereas in the awakening that you receive from dissemination is a general awakening, an awakening that is also related to the ego. S. I want to say something that, I mean when we are disseminating there is also a connection with friends and I get impressions from their deficiency and as we know all of reality is a projection of a will to receive. So I see the egoistic quality outside of my 10 but through the connection in dissemination but you said work on them is not the same but in the same direction, so it is not clear.

R. What do you mean it is not clear. Here when you disseminate but there you have to awaken yourself as well towards the Creator directly. Meaning to come to a state where we work through the 10 without the 10 you do not have a vessel for reception of spirituality. So the dissemination is very nice but it is more external, superficial, you will need it in the future but the work in the 10, strengthening the 10, being incorporated in it and through it being incorporated and drawn to the Creator this is the most important thing, you can see through all the articles of Rabash.

28. S. (01:42:46) In order to reach a sensation of spirituality sometimes we are advised to begin like a psychological game as though we already attained, when does the game turn into reality?

R. We have to act as if we are in spirituality in the quality of bestowal, we have to act it out. But at the same time we have to see that there is a difference between the desirable and existing and ask the Creator to promote us from the existing state, from the present state to the desirable state. So we, like kids who pretend to be grown up, by this they really grow up.

29. S. (01:43:59) You say that we can freely disseminate except for the two religious people, is there a limitation on relatives, family?

R. With relatives I would really not recommend disseminating the wisdom of Kabbalah, in general I will not explain my general affairs to them because it spoils their relationships, who knows how they will respond to it. They will get into all kinds of changing situations, internal, spiritual and influence our relationships. I want to stay with them on one level, we are close to each other, we care about each other, we help each other like family and nothing more. Afterwards you will see that the more, because you are still close to them, so they will still feel your spiritual life and they will get from them a lot of impressions and inspirations. Your spiritual life will still kind of trickle through them.

30. S. (01:45:54) What kind of criteria of choice does a Kabbalist make when he is involved in politics?

R. I will tell you what I think, what I learned from Rabash and it also has to do with what is happening with Israel, so I cannot say about other countries. Rabash was concerned about belonging to, if all, to belong to those who were very far from dictatorships, from power, from brute force, both religious and secular. We need mainly to let people develop freely but not free in the sense that people think of this today because it becomes distorted, because freedom becomes wild and then you can do anything you want in front of anybody, no. 31. S. (01:48:33) I feel that there's different states in me that we are learning about here how to manage the states and hold on to the Creator?

R. Do you have a 10, so what are you asking, build such a 10 that holds you together to such an extent that you will not have such questions. So you will feel every moment in life that someone is holding you. Like we once developed in our mother's womb and then we came out of it, we were born. We do not need to feel outside of the womb that we have emerged to a free world, we are still in the womb but in a different way in the womb and in different way, means in the environment. This eventually is what we will have to organize, that we will have to have such an environment for the people that they will feel that they are in the womb and they are connected among themselves in the general womb, which is the Creator of the upper mother Bina. This is what we need to build. So try to at least understand it, to talk about it, very important.

32. S. (01:50:24) How to overcome servants of Pharaoh that weaken the 10 and are revealed in the friends, in all of the tens?

R. We need to try to see every moment that the Creator is manipulating our will to receive, Pharaoh, in such a way I still give us a new place to work, so every moment we will be able to advance towards a more powerful force of bestowal, a more powerful force of connection. Then we have to build some such systems in the 10. Someone who is on the way, on the road, must have as it is written, make for yourself guards and officers in your gates so if you want to get out there's a guard and an officer. Meaning you need to constantly feel the pressure of the group on you and you have to be happy that you have the pressure of the group because without the pressure of the group, you yourself will immediately veer off the path.

R. Yes, mainly them.

S. Who are they?

R. Newcomers.

S. What kind of deficiency do they have that we are approaching them?

R. Either to have fun in this world and we need to show them that to feel life, specifically by let's say to know about the system why it failed or how to manage it and so on and so on. The wisdom of Kabbalah can answer you on each and every desire on each and every question.

S. But what exactly?

R. That depends already on what you put on the hook, the bait that you are throwing in the water, the fish you want to catch.

S. Am I offering them the wisdom of Kabbalah has a solution?

R. You are advising them, the wisdom of Kabbalah for solutions that they want to find in life, yes.

S. What does Kabbalah have to offer them, if it doesn't end in the connection in the 10?

R. No, no, I do not talk about that at all. If you want to talk to them about that, it is better to sit down and do nothing, then you are just corrupting the people's approach to us. Why should I explain to them that attaining the force of bestowal we need to attain in order to love all of humanity and to give ourselves to all the people and for this I need the unique environment, that will pressure me all the time, that is what you want to tell them?

S. Obviously not.

R. So what is your question?

S. What can I offer a person who wants food, sex, family, money?

R. You are going to explain to them the system that is managing us, that is what we are missing, how we can be safe from all the blows of nature that are standing before us. How we can promise ourselves something for tomorrow. In family, sex, food, everything, whatever a person has to enjoy now he is losing these pleasures, he is losing the sources of these pleasures and he truly has a problem. You are coming to tell him that he can be the manager of his life.

S. Where is he the owner of his life, you are telling him about the system, but it is so big it won’t solve his problems?

R. The more he knows about the system he is in he will know how to manage his life. All of man's work in the world is to know the world and promise his existence in the world. This is how we are turning to people. You want to succeed in life or at least protect yourself from harm so please we are explaining to you how the world is built, what is the force that operates on us, a few of these forces, and how we can change the influence of these forces upon us. I'm not teaching them some hocus-pocus to stop the rain or to bring me more rain or volcanoes or something else. I'm explaining to them forces that truly manage us in a very essential manner, very fundamental manner and by this all the forces of nature. So I do not understand what there is more to explain to you, I have no more force, no more energy.

34. S. (01:59:00) To return to the article, two short questions. First of all servants of Pharaoh do not feel the resistance of the body, the even helps them, on the other hand we learned that habit has to be a second nature so what is the difference between acquiring habit such as to be on time, to get up at the same time and the body gets used to it and between this the servants of Pharaoh?

R. You are asking such questions that I do not know. I know you maybe 15 years, maybe more and to hear such questions. Of course habit becomes second nature and the body itself no longer opposes and there are such actions that we can get ourselves, our bodies used to, meaning your bodily will to receive to behave properly, a bit more and a bit more. Even things that bring us a bit of pain we also get used to and can be without the pain. It is habit, the force of habit is very important.

S. Basing the question is if my body resists coming to the lessons, to the meetings of the 10. I can overcome it but by this, in this I'm not the servant of Pharaoh but if I'm already used to it, such as getting up to the lesson which I've been practicing for 18 years, does that make me a servant of the Pharaoh or are there changes here?

R. If I operate against my desire in order to get closer to the group and Creator, then of course that is spiritual work, in sum total that is it. According to coming closer to the purpose of creation that is all you are checking yourself towards. I do not understand your question otherwise. It was easier before, now it's harder, there were periods that were harder to get up and do things. Let's say I cannot sleep after 1 a.m. 1 a.m. I wake up and then I begin to work, what is that from, 40 years ago, more than 40 years ago that I began studying.

S. Let me explain my question, in Item 3 Rabash writes, the servants of Pharaoh feel no resistance from the body and the body gives him strength.

So you are asking, do I have a reward for this or not. No reward, it enters nature, to habit. What do I need to do, to advance onward, that is what we do in life until all of our actions that we perform by force what is called, what is called first by force and then by desire. 35. S. (02:05:15) You were saying that we have to leave some freedom of choice to the friend and not pressure him. Now you are saying that there should be pressure from the group. How do we build the right balance and the support and the connection between us?

R. In the group we need to reach a state that we all understand the goal and to understand the stages that we are going through. As much as we are more and more closer to this and this opinion from one to another, then this way we get closer. This is how it is in the group. But with other people in the world of course not.

36. S. (02:06:16) He uses his spiritual forces to control the system but not to change and be a part of the system. How do we correct this situation and change it into really being in the system?

R. We live by the group, in which I subjugate myself before them as Rabash writes.

R. Yes. We are talking only above the internal desires in man.

38. S. (02:07:37) Concerning dissemination, I want to get into it a little bit more. Because it sounds like we are not certain what exactly is the content. R. Look if you want to draw people to us and to the wisdom of Kabbalah then you can’t by disseminating connection as something important. Because no one thinks this way and no one outside thinks that connection is important. So people will not come. If you want to draw people to learn in some manner, to join in some manner to us, it is not by this that you say connection is the solution. It is not the same bait that will bring people. Truly not. You need to think about how to talk to them. That is possible only by what will I benefit from it. Is your dissemination answering my question, what will be my reward from this from what you are presenting to me. What will be my benefit from reading your article, watching your video clip, or something else. What will I get out of it, what will I get from it. If I understand, I feel that is good. If not, you are just wasting my time and your time, and I'm starting to get used to this, that you are just talking nonsense that I do not need. You, as if you do not understand what the egoistic desire is in man. Who you are turning to. If you are with a person in states of war, big problems, a crisis, that all of humanity is truly trembling, then you can say that the solution is connection, because everyone feels we need something on the spot to do. Then you can talk about connection. But if humanity wants money, food, sex, knowledge, then what you talking to them about the connection as a solution. It is not a solution at all for what they want. That is why I do not understand.

S. Let me put it this way. We give them this bait, we speak to those clear and immediate desires of a person and we tell them that we have a method for achieving them. But sooner or later, usually within a few months, you have to start talking about how to attain it and the wisdom of Kabbalah we also call it the wisdom of connection, so we use to begin to give them the solution of how to really attain what we say after we define what is the wisdom of Kabbalah.

R. If you explain to them that the goal is specific and how to reach it. You depict to them the entire path in some manner that is understandable to them and that there is no solution, we have to acquire the force of bestowal besides the force of reception in us. And there is no choice. How do we acquire the force of bestowal so that we will have these two forces in our hands, and will be able to manage the world, ourselves and humanity. Where is that additional force other than the force of reception that we have, the force of bestowal. There isn’t. It is in nature but it is not in our hands. Each and every one understands it this way. And you can explain more that we are only in the force of reception, how to receive, where is the additional force to bestow, that by these two forces we will build a whole system with which we can manage the world. Like you are holding on to a horse with both ropes, that is what we want. Is it possible or not and here we say, yes it is possible. You can receive in addition force, it is in nature, but we need to receive it. If we will want to have that force of bestowal and then by the combinations of these forces, plus and minus, of hot and cold, you can give a thousand examples here. Because besides human beings, all of nature is composed of two forces. Still, vegetative, animate and also in us, still, vegetative and animate. Everything is composed of two forces.

Only the person himself, his internality is only the force of receiving, there is no force of bestowal at all. Even if he gives something, it is also to get. These words are actually, I’m relaxed by them because we, the students, come to some understanding, intellect and also in the feeling that we have to acquire the force of bestowal and then we go for the connection through which we can obtain this force. What about the message that we have to give to general people because we have to very quickly grab them. What do we sell them if not connection or do we sell them connection?

R. Connection you can sell but with the explanation that all the systems of nature are in the force of bestowal and reception and the balance between them. Plus and minus. We need to explain all these matters, the systems in nature and how it must be in the human system. Why we are constantly entering a crisis is because we always want to use the force of reception and not the force of bestowal. We are missing. We need to determine the systems of bestowal between us and how we are not capable from the side of nature. We need to build these things between us. No one is born with the force of bestowal. Have you seen children? Everyone holds with two hands to what they want and they will not let anyone else, no chance. That’s our forces. So how do we build systems that complete us and then we will be in balanced relations between us. That is what we need ultimately to reach balance. No one says you cannot use the force of reception but balance it with the force of bestowal and then there will be exchange of materials. Then it will work properly like all the systems of nature. Otherwise we are in nature like a foreign object, a cancer.

39. S. (02:18:18) We want to update today 550 women are connected in the Arvut system and the question we got from Israel. We brought people in without the wisdom of Kabbalah but by understanding the system. Should we draw them into courses or should there be another system here?

R. No, for our courses I'm not actually familiar with how the system is built, I'm not engaging in it. You have built it over many years and I have no opinion on this. I think that you need to arrange it yourselves. Another meeting, another discussion, more scrutiny but I have no idea how the system is built. I think our manager can answer all of your questions, he knows the system very well. It is good if you work with it this way.

S. All the people who come and learn and get to know the system, are they all intended to become students or do you see a situation where people get this information and begin to live in different ways?

R. I do not think at all, there are many types of people, many degrees of will to receive and of course not everyone is the same. I would open for everybody, of course, and give everyone some first impressions. Then anyone who wants I would advance them more and more but in a very free manner with no pressure. Whoever wants more please, we have another course and another course that you can take, we have it. Besides these lessons of ours we do not close them from anyone.

40. S. (02:21:10) When we approach new students, do we tell them that if we engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah everything will be okay in life. Baal HaSulam also writes it in concealing and revealing the Creator, you will have good relationships with people. You will make money but to the friends I cannot say this because I will turn them into the servants of Pharaoh if I tell him this.

R. You have to tell everyone in their language in sum total you are turning to the will to receive, because it is the foundation of the world.
