Part 2:

Connecting the World in the Last Generation - Selected Excerpts from the Sources

1 R. (00:12) What is there for me to say here? It's a very relevant topic. We see all the wars, all the problems that are taking place today are all scrutinies and which way is the connection standing before all of the humanity, but such a connection that it’s also that we’re not just fighting but also entering a connection from a desire to do so and not because we have no choice. How do we come to a connection that is really adapted to the spiritual Partzuf of 10 Sefirot where we will all come to a state in which we’ll want to reveal Him. So let's read these excerpts and see if we can come closer to this state and also to be certain that our study itself is as a prayer going to draw the upper force, to connect us, connect between us and this way we will connect more and more to that system called the corrected soul of Adam HaRishon.

Reading Excerpt #1 (01:59) “The basis of my entire commentary is the will to receive..”

2. R. (02:54) Meaning the Creator on purpose distanced us from Him, from His Essence in order to give us the scrutiny of where we are relative to Him and the extent in which we want to adhere to Him in return. And for us to go on this path this way and return to Him together.

3. R. (04:54) I think the text itself is understood, please questions.

Reading Excerpt #1 (05:08) again

4. R. (05:44) Meaning that by the ego that the Creator created He differentiated our will to receive from the light from Him and then we seemingly exist outside of Him.

5. R. (06:26) This is actually our work, this is our goal, this is our essence, our purpose. In place of the will to receive for us to have the form in order to bestow. Meaning to continue with the will they receive, it remains the will to receive but the intention that we operate with it is to bestow to others and not in any other way.

6. R. (07:55) And we just like a Baal HaSulam writes are already in the period of the Messiah meaning we can truly come to all the corrections including the end of correction.

7. S. (08:09) We are speaking a lot today of bestowal, speaking with the Creator, everything like that. How can we explain what bestowal is without feeling it? I know there's a problem with this. What’s the closest way we can explain what bestowal is?

R. Bestowal means that you want to do something good for someone else, a favour for someone. Meaning you're taking or trying to take his deficiencies and desires and fulfill them by your strength, by your ability. That is considered bestowing.

S. Can you understand it, feel it or can you understand it with your mind?

R. You have to go through everything in your emotions. How else do you know if you’re doing it?

S. How can you speak with a quality of bestowal? When you’re imagining you’re speaking with the Creator?

R. Do it through the friends, you are told this is the way to come closer to the Creator. You need to come out of yourself a bit towords the friends and incorporate in them. Try to be in them and then you will learn to how to come out of yourself to something outside of you. Then and only then will you have experience how to come out. That is why you were given friends and that is why it is written from the love of others to the love of the Creator. So please do it and you will feel what it means what it means to come out of oneself and then it will be clear to you what you need to do also with the Creator. Moreover when you start to do this with the friends you will feel that you are incorporated in them and they in you and you will feel that here you also have a place for the Creator, and the Creator is revealed as the inclusive in the connection with the friends

S. This what we're doing with all of our work? You can’t do this from the beginning, you have to exert yourself.

R. Start working and you will see.

8. S (10:59) He says that it’s very important to speak and to listen to the Creator but they also tell us that we need to raise a prayer, to ask. In what place in this conversation with the Creator is a person supposed to raise this prayer?

R. I think everywhere, what do you mean what place? In request, in gratitude, it doesn’t matter where, it doesn’t matter what. The main thing is always to be connected but through the ten. I say it again, if you’re connecting to the Creator outside of your ten, what we say outside of the quorum you do not reach any result. On the contrary you become further away because you think you're connected to the Creator. All our connection with the Creator can be only be through the ten. First you build a ten then you connect to the Creator.

The ten is a name, it could be a number of people it does not have to be 10. But if they are connected meaning to a certain extent they annul their ego towards each other, so out of the annulment of their ego they can also turn to the Creator. Also from the perspective of the Creator He has room to enter between these friends who annul themselves to the others. So there’s equivalence of form between them annulling their desire to a certain extent to the others and the Creator. And then the Creator can enter between them. Try to feel these things, try to realize them, try to make them tangible.

9. S. (13:25) It says that a person does everything for necessities for himself, the necessary minimum for oneself and his family’s sustenance, and this is not considered disparity form. Bestowal to the other, this is an inner action and here it’s speaking about something external?

R. Both external and internal. If it’s bestowal there's barely a difference if it’s external or internal, certainly it’s important for it to be both. But if a person is still capable of performing an action of bestowal only externally that is also good. That’s the way.

10. S. (14:19) Every once in awhile we say that we can ask whatever we want as long as it’s with the intention to bestow, and the Kabbalists are recommending us to receive the necessary minimum. How can we connect these two things together

R. Necessary minimum, I don't think we understand that concept properly. The necessary minimum means that I care about my family but to the extent that they exist, exist normally, children, their school, all the games they need, the toys they need, the house, should be as much as possible. The main thing is that I don’t need to place my life as some kind of sacrifice, it need not be a sacrifice, when I sacrifice my whole life for materialism.

11. S. (15:59) Is our ego actually what the Creator created, this darkness?

R. Of course. That’s what he says, I’ve created the evil inclination.

Reading excerpt #2 (16:25) “Attribute of singularity, which exists in each....” twice

12. S. (20:40) Do we need to look at our qualities in the ten as something that is expressed as an attitude with the Creator?

R. We should try to come closer in our connection all in all in the ten so it will resemble the qualities of the Creator. Not each and everyone of us but rather all of us should be so; when we are all this way in the ten connecting in order to resemble the Creator.

13. S. (21:31) He says here “Indeed, there is not a single person in the world who is free from it, and all the differences are only in the ways it is used—for the desires of the heart, for governance, or for honor—and this is what separates people from one another”.

So what he’s actually telling us is that the Creator did such a thing, this kind of a caos, the biggest egoist in the world, all the destruction, all the ruin in the world came from this, what is the story here, why He created all the chaos?

R. I don't understand you, still talking like a kid. It is clear that everything is done by the Creator, all the destruction is also by Him and it is clear that we need to correct what he did. That’s all.

S. So what does He expect from us?

R. For you to correct.

S. So why did he cause all of this?

R. That is what he says “i have created the evil inclination” he didn't ask you.

S. What is the reason for that?

R. The reason is that He wanted to. Stop it, stop being a child, stubborn in this empty place. You have to understand that there's nothing to talk about here; the Creator didn't ask you prior to creation what He should do. That’s it. That is what He did, that was his desire and you will be able to justify Him only once you correct the situation or He will correct by your request. Then you'll see how much these things, from the beginning of creation until the end of creation; everything was by His love towards you. In the meantime you cannot. There's a verse “don't show a fool a job half done”. Is it clear? Good.

14. S. (23:47) It seems like it's impossible that this world that is so distant from the Creator going farther away it cannot be returned to Him, maybe the Messiah will come from within us?

R. I do not know. I don't want speculation about the Messiah. It seems if one can’t, ok, in the meantime stay in this quality, don't continue as though it seems to you that it is the Messiah, it's not your business.

15. S. (24:22) It's not completely clear here, these unique details that everything is built on this distructions is built on the ruin of his friend, is it talking about us or the whole world in general ?

R. Each one is an egoist and each one is willing to build something good on the expense of the other's destruction; this applies to countries, societies, humans, this is how it is in each and every egoistic part.

16. S. (25:08) About the building on the ruin of the friend, why does he use the word friend, it is an interesting choice of words, this work is in the group?

R. No, no no. It is not a matter of friend or not a friend, this is how it’s phrased: Between man to man we also say “between man to his friend”. It has nothing to do with the ten.

17. S. (25:48) What is this measure of indistinguishability in the right way?

R. We do not yet have this quality of singularity; it has to be revealed both in the force of reception and the force of bestowal.

Reading excerpt #3 (26:24) “By the term egoism i am not referring to the original egoism..”

18. S. (26:45) Meaning without relating to a certain person or something outside of it.

R. (27:00) That takes care of himself only. Living within himself.

19. R. (29:00) These things seem to clear to everyone, right?

20. S. (29:18) Why is it so concealed specifically from people?

R. What’s concealed? The ego is concealed from the person?

S. Because everyone thinks that he is a good person, naturally a person thinks he’s good, he does good things, it’s very concealed that we can ruin the whole world for ourselves, and is it good to explain it in dissemination?

R. I can tell you that the ego of a person conceals the entire truth from him. What can you do? It is not that there's some kind of a concealment, that ego itself makes this concealment, as if it is not so bad, that everyone is this way; it is not so bad if a person cares about himself if it’s at the expense of another. He doesn't really see it because he doesn't feel the other. The ego itself is organized in a way that a person can use it freely. So how will I do it, how can I not use my ego?

Who will care for me if I won’t? Besides the fact that it is really inside my nature: The way i move, the way i seat, the way I turn around, everything is done in the most comfortable way for me starting with the most simple automatic things of my body and ending with my thoughts, my desires, the highest things, everything is arranged in a way that i will do it with a maximum success and minimum effort. You can say that it is the law of preservation of energy.

S. If we can explain this well in the dissemination, maybe that’s what is going to bring the deficiency, the necessity for connection, because now no one understands why we need to connect if everyone is kind of ok?

R. Try, try and write, let's see what you write and then we will start maybe to realize it.

21. S. (31:50) What is this point of breakage within the person and this point of correction, where the point begins and then moves to the second one?

R. The point of shattering is when a person starts feeling that in his will to receive he is dead and remains that he is about to be dead physically, in the degrees of still, vegetative and animate and he has no profit out of that. None. Then he starts making calculations, so what should I do in order to revive myself?

Reading excerpt #4 (32:46) “The crass, undeveloped person does not recognize egoism as bad at all..”

22. R. (35:48) This is clear, these are natural things you can understand.

23. S. (35:55) This quality of loving others that has to spread over to all Humanity, It is like Baal HaSulam wrote, that you have to embrace the entire world. What is this quality? Maybe in the ten we can do that but what does it mean for the entire world?

R. It is the extent of correction that is revealed in one’s vessel and out of that he feels this way. It’s very simple. We are talking about the size of the correction that one feels in his desire.

S. What does it mean the entire vessel, we say the vessel is the ten?

R. But for him it is not only the ten anymore, for him it's the entire world; to the extent that he can expand his bestowal and his bestowal may be spread all over the world according to the extent of the correction of his desire.

S. What does it mean to expand your bestowal, that the world will be within your vessel?

R. Loving everyone.

24. S. (37:42) Can we ask the Creator in the ten for the necessities for friends even if there is a way to get past this difficult phase?

R. Surely, we must, if we identify , if we see and we feel the necessity of the friends we must, all of us, men and women, pray for everyone; that for all of our friends they will have enough necessities and they will not feel it as a deficiency.

25. S. (38:38) How do we reach the state where all of our actions and all of our thoughts and intentions are for the good of the Creator and the other only?

R. Bit by bit, you come to that gradually: First you come to reach a state which each one of us comes out of himself or herself towards the friends and then by this we start feeling that we are a bit distance from ourselves and to that extent we can incorporate in others and feel the state where we can fill our friends.

This is how we can come to a state where all the friends are becoming closer to me, truly. This is how we start to learn to care and how to pray each one for the other, and by this care when we start praying each one for the others, we start to see how much we start to correct the entire Earth in general from all of its troubles; how we correct the climate so it will be comfortable and nice and good for everyone. We can guard the whole world from wars, problems and concerns and all these things will truly start disappearing from the world.

26. S. (40:44) What does it mean to love everyone? How can you experience and how can you really apply it and Implement it?

R. To the extent that we are ready for it; the Creator will do it. We certainly cannot either love and certainly not to fill everyone with everything they need, but if we connect and we want to help everyone by that we raise MAN, we pray to the Creator “and He who makes peace above will make peace on us”, then from above brings all the good down to us.

27. S. (41:37) According to the passage that we are reading, are we supposed to come up with some explanation so we can explain our egoistic nature, to disseminate?

R. Yes. But don't be so acute, you do not need to push people. it is true that we are egoists but we also have the key for that for us to try to correct it and we will be able to correct it.

28. S. (42:30) How can we feel a need to add new vessels?

R. That is something that we can do under the condition that we really want to incorporate in the sorrow of others and then we will correct it and we will be rewarded with “the comfort of others”.

29. S. (43:03) In the matter of the prayer, does the corporeality of a friend depend on our prayers for them?

R. The corporality of the friend depends on my prayer. It's better to answer this way.

Reading excerpt #5 (43:44) “The corrupt conducts in the states of humanity are the very..” twice

30. S. (47:34) So actually the whole Wisdom of Kabbalah talks about the law of development, what is this law of development?

R. The law of development says that the Creator created the evil inclination that is revealed gradually and then in this way we can feel how bad is the evil inclination and how much we can correct it and bring it to good?

S. Meaning everything depends on the person, the ones who study the Wisdom of Kabbalah?

R. Correct. That is correct. But more and more people will come closer to that, advance towards that. Because people won’t be able to just feel the evil; they want to reveal the reason.

31. S. (48:38) Now that I'm a student of Kabbalah, can I measure how I can improve to be a good person, because sometimes I feel like I'm worse?

R. That is also true. You feel worse because the more you advance you understand what good is and accordingly you determine your own qualities as evil ones. Yes.

S. So that means I'm advancing?

R. Yes, that is also advencment; left right, left right.

32. S. (49:19) This passage says that this whole process in the world is undergoing all kinds of diseases and wars, it’s like this process pushes humanity towards good. We see that it is the law of development here.

R. It is true it is the law of development, but it is not the way we have to go through these stages, we can go through them in the way we understand them and feel them and we do not need to go into them practically. So, the fact that we are entering into all kinds of disasters by nature and we have all these fires and floods and in some places in the world they're wars, there's always a war somewhere; all of these things do not have to happen.

We can go through them with our recognition with our awareness and feelings; but without this practically happening, that is what we're talking about. Let’s hope that we, nonetheless, come closer to that. These last actions of the natural disasters and the wars will be truly the last ones that the humanity will go through; that It will decide that there’s nothing will come out of wars, rather the wars that we should have are with ourselves so that nature will not go wild and burst on us, in all kinds of disasters like these fires and floods, and earthquakes, Etc. Let's hope that this is how it will be, everything depends on us.

S. That is the question, when you see the effect of this difficult process, the effectiveness is very good. Let's say the plague and the way it influenced the world and we see that whatever we do in the study is like a drop in the sea, we do not see that we influence the world like nature does and you are kind of getting lost, you just want to leave everything and let nature do it because it is effective, humanity wakes up and think about it. I want to say that there’s helplessness to what we are able to do and what the Creator is able to do.

R. It is because we act in an individual way, alone, if we were to connect a bit more we would act in a very substantial way on the upper force; and we will force Him to change the way He controls us, and to come closer to us. That is what is going to happen. It’s going to happen but we need to be in that.
