Passover - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. (From Exile to Redemption #140)

Excerpt 140 From Exile to Redemption…twice (00:33)

1.Rav’s Introduction: (04:12) We see here that the most important thing is to hold oneself on the path. Like it is written the Creator will complete for me, the main thing is not to leave. As it says everything but exit and if a person holds on ultimately he's doing all that's in his ability, he's not exiting from the lane. Then he gives the Creator the opportunity to care for him in all states, ascents, descents. Whatever it may be on the path the person brings himself to such that he is ready to be taken care of, that the Creator will take care of him and such we advance and so specifically in the times of lack of confidence, lack of connection with the society, some despair, a person needs to see that this is the place to strengthen oneself. Here we need to add in connection with the friends on one hand and from the other hand to request from the Creator. Not to do anything for oneself, seemingly we are doing it or he is doing it rather we are doing it towards the friends and towards the Creator. These are the two directions we need to work in and then we will succeed and not that we should waste our time in all sorts of other searches that have no benefit.

2. S. (06:24) It turns out that the request of a person was incorrect if the Creator does not answer his prayer.

R. No that's incorrect and you can’t say that the Creator doesn’t answer. The system is built in such a manner that whatever a person brings out of himself that he seemingly turns to the Creator or to someone else. First of all the Creator arranges for him even though the person doesn't feel it or understand it. Rather in order to teach a person in the system that he is in that he will recognize, be familiar with the system and be incorporated in it. And so there is no such thing as we don't receive an answer, even if we don't feel or receive anything. We don't understand what's happening but the main thing is to continue and continue and continue. Even though I don't feel the response that I thought I should get or that I want to receive and I'm not getting. But why should I be receiving, why should I even be demanding what needs to be?

So it is upon us nonetheless to remain ready for connection, to be in readiness for connection. Then we'll begin to reveal how it happens. We are in a system. We are in some connection between us, some connection with the Creator. If we want that this connection will strengthen and be revealed it can only be according to the measure of bestowal that we add to the connection that there is. The Creator has brought us to this state we are already in. He's already given us some measure of connection in force of bestowal, a small one but still it’s in the force of bestowal. That we feel ourselves that we exist around the Earth, in a big group and between us in tens. That is what there is and what we need is just to add to this system forces of bestowal, and that’s towards the friends and from all of us towards the Creator and in this we will live the general force, the general system that we are already in and bring it to a greater and greater intensity of action.

3. S. (09:42) What is faith and how can we increase this type of faith?

R. Faith is the force of the bestowal. There is complete faith, partial faith, all sorts of forms of faith. Faith is bestowal, the force of Bina. It needs to be developed as much as possible, as much as we understand and according to what Kabbalists advise us to do until we begin to feel that it exists between us. It's the force of connection between us. It’s the force of connection between us. When we are in the system in order to connect with one another and to the entire system we need the force of faith. It's like we are pulling ropes toward one another, each one for everyone and we are establishing this system in the force of mutual bestowal between everyone. And this is the network of connection that's also called Shechina, Divinity, Malchut that is mingled with Bina. Afterwards in these connections in these ropes you can already give the force of true bestow which is the light of Hochma which is to the extent that each one takes upon himself the work of the others and does so in a practical manner.

4. S. (11:54) What does it mean that we can add the force of bestowal between us? Can we measure it?

R. We need to start from what we have at least from the simple connection that each shall help his friend as Rabash writes in his articles on the society. These are the rules of connection, communication between us. That we'll be able to then continue with revelation of connection between us to such an extent that will reveal the entire structure of the upper world and the Creator that flows in these ropes of connections and manages it and connects everyone. The Creator is the general force in these ropes in these lines of connection between us.

5. S. (13:12) What do we do if there's no taste in the work, no desire, no confidence? The only feeling left is the responsibility toward the ten and the path. How to rise above it?

R. I would advise each time to make the effort to renew the connection with the friends, to incorporate in them. You can always find in them awakening, ascent, an example of how to be above one’s ego, one’s reason and to listen to them. Suddenly you’ll hear that what they’re saying is some complete Torah, words of wisdom and with such you will strengthen and grow and at another time they’ll take from you. We think we’re wise, no. Rather if we want to receive something from the friend then we need to accept that beyond the friend there is the Creator and that I accept the words of the Creator through the friend. Once again I'm saying that the main thing is the patience and to continue nonetheless on the path. When I reached Rabash I asked him what to do. So he advised me, all sorts of things that I could take upon myself. The main thing is to be connected to the society, to be of use to the society as much as possible on a steady basis and to continue and that's what helps a person. If a person is afraid that he can escape from the society, that's good. The question is, is he putting together his connections in the society, putting it together in a manner that he truly won’t escape.

Excerpt 141 (16:02)

6. R. (17:15) Here there’s the matter that bit by bit accumulates to a large sum. That each and every day, each moment that a person wants to advance he suffers from this that he can’t advance and he adds to all these bits that accumulate to a big sum and afterwards it jumps to a big number, and then a person receives assistance from above and revelation. His eyes open, he gets a sensation in the heart, and begins to see the matters. The main thing is that each and every moment to make an effort to add to this, bit by bit.

7. S. (18:14) A person who makes the calculation to leave the path, escape, he tried to incorporate and turn to the Creator but the advice from Him is the same. What is the Innovation here?

R. Of course, we know here that a person is in a new state. He is greater despair, greater experience, the states and themselves appear different.

S. But the despair is from turning through the society to the Creator.

R. That too.

S. Why should he turn again?

R. I don’t know. Every day do you eat something entirely new? You repeat things you eat many times so what’s the problem? The will to receive renews. So here we need to be in the will to receive, the will to bestow that are renewing, that advance as such and afterwards it is truly so that each time we will have changes in the relations between us and the Creator. Each time there will be changes, new vessels, new Kelim and new Partzufim that we’ll build along the way and each time there will be a new impression. The light that fills the vessel, the inner light that fills the Partzuf each time is new, both the Partzuf itself, the desires, the assembly, the gathering of the ten Sefirot, they should be in your eyes as new and also the light that fills them will be new. In spirituality there is nothing that is resembling what there was before, it's always different. It's just in the meantime we are in lack of awareness, lack of consciousness.

8. S. (20:24) We get to know the force of faith in the ten. How is it revealed and how do we obtain that focus?

R. We want to be connected to one another in the ten and when we're connected to one another we want to grasp the Creator with all our hands. Let's say we have ten friends and we are grasping the Creator with ten hands and holding onto Him and not letting Him escape from us. It doesn't matter what's happening, ascents, descents, being thrown around from left to right, back and forth and so on, it doesn't matter. The main thing is that we hold on between us and the Creator and where are we? A hundred meters above the ground and we're falling, or now we're going to crash into some wall or something, it doesn't matter. The main thing is for us to hold on between us, we have no other opportunity in what to grasp and to strengthen ourselves. So we need to describe this, depict this to ourselves that only in this when we strengthen together in this we have an anchor, and in this we are saved.

9. S. (22:01) How do you overcome a state where we are tired of bestowal, we don't want to hear about it, we don’t feel that it brings us anything.

R. It's because you don't receive any response in your egoistic vessels so you don't want to continue. And here you are given precisely the point where you need to decide. Do you want to continue in your egoistic vessels or do you want to perform some action on the intention to bestow? So maybe rise above what you feel now that you don't want to continue because the intention to receive is not giving you any response and so specifically here now you are given an opportunity, maybe for the first time to perform some action in bestowal. What is an action in bestowal? That you continue simply like before without demanding a reward. The reward is only one thing, that I am continuing, that I won't be thrown out, that I'll be allowed to work without a reward, without anything. But I'm receiving a reward in this that I'm being allowed to work, to participate and that itself is the reward. More than that there is nothing. I cut everything out besides this. Just let me get up to reach the lesson, to hear the lesson, to connect a few more times with the friends during the day as much as I can, to process the lesson, to drink it in, to fill myself with it and to advance as such. That is my reward.

10. S. (24:20) What's the difference between exile in the will to receive and exile in the will to bestow?

R. Maybe it's hard to explain because I'm afraid that will get confused between these states and we won't get a scrutiny out of it. Keep your question on the side. We will get back to it, let’s say in a few weeks.

11. S. (25:16) What does it mean to add in the work? I feel like I'm reacting to states but not adding. What does it mean to add?

R. To add in the work is that I continue in the same direction to the same goal as before, and that state I’m going through doesn’t influence me so much that I’ll be thrown off the path.

S. Is this an addition? Is this considered adding in the work? Not getting thrown out of the path?

R. Yes, that I continue on the same path in the same direction.

12. S. (26:07) What does it mean to be enslaved to the Klipot?

R. Being enslaved to the Klipot, the shells means that you allow your egoistic desires to control you and dictate to you what you want to do.

Excerpt 142 (26:28)

13. R. (27:07) It is written in the Torah, meaning this we’ll learn now. All who have an intention to bestow that we need to kill and all who have an intention to receive then we can let them continue existing. That is what Pharaoh is saying. He gives the command that whoever put out to the Nile in Egypt in the state of Galut, exile, those who want to exit from it and to kill them and those who don't want to exit Egypt, we’ll leave them.

Excerpt 143 twice (28:04)

14. R. (29:47) But actually in these actions Pharaoh causes the desire to bestow in a person is strengthened, strengthened. In general the entire process that we go through in the Exile of Egypt, in the will to receive that grows and demands more and more and more, that is called the work of Pharaoh. But that advances us to a state that we begin to desire the redemption, the exit from Egypt.

15. S. (30:33) The Creator gives me the feeling of pain and shame in my life. I'm afraid and ashamed to demand something from the Creator. So my question is how should I ask for the power to connect with the friends?

R. You will connect with the friends and you'll turn to the Creator and you will request and demand from Him what you think you need. And then you'll see how much it works, just how much it is simple. But it's on the condition that you connect and turn to the Creator. And don't leave it.

Excerpt 144 (31:49)

16. R. (32:15) He wants that out of his work will come out the force of bestowal.

Reader continues: (32:23) “and this is his desire when he engages…. ”

17. R. (32:35) And he has a great disturbance.

Reader continues: (32:40) “if it is a girl….”

18. R. (33:26) Meaning he won't be able to exit Egypt, meaning that each time he will remain in the actions and intentions to receive. He will pray for the Commandments, yes all sorts of actions but to exit from Egypt from the intention to receive he does not exit that. It all depends how much he is aimed, directed to either be a male or female. Male is the intention to bestow and female is intention to receive.

19. S. (34:03) It's not clear from the excerpt when the intention gets decided, when it gets executed, before or after the action?

R. What do you mean the intention beyond the action?

S. It says that when you give birth, after the state is born you see if it's a boy or a girl.

R. We see according to the intention that was before and then it is scrutinized to become clear.

S. Only after the action is performed you can decide to put it to death or keep it alive?

R. No, this is all before the action. What do you want? If you want to live in the spiritual manner of the intention to bestow, then a male is born and if you agree to be in the intention to receive then a female is born. But accordingly you can say what the intention was before.

S. So if the resistance is in order to bestow, the body resists that it doesn't give you strength..

R. Then Pharaoh says find me the males and kill them.

S. So in no state is there an ability to begin to bestow, it doesn’t exist in reality.

R. Yes, that's what Pharaoh says.

Excerpt 145 (35:42)

20. R. (36:15) That pulls them that draws them out of Egypt, all the corrupted desires in the meantime that are under the control of Pharaoh, yes.

Reader continues: (36:27) “as our sages said the expansion”

21. R. (36:39) Whoever is directed Yashar El, to the Creator.

Reader continues: (36:45) “who will deliver them from Egypt ”

22. R. (37:00) That's what Pharaoh says, our ego but truly we understand that our ego is the opposite form of the Creator. It’s the same Creator that operates in the opposite manner so that between Pharaoh and Creator we will find our correct path in that development. So it turns out that specifically in such a manner we are struggling, and this is also what we are reading in the Torah just how much there is a struggle between Moses and Pharaoh. And that by this we grow.

23. S. (37:44) Each time that I perform an action I see it’s on the intention to receive and it greatly weakens me.

R. Because you are in Egypt for the time being according to our story. We are still in Egypt so of course you're in order to receive.

S. The advice is what in this state should we be doing actions? What to do in this state? To each time scrutinize and see that I’m in the intention to receive?

R. But these scrutinies are designed for those who are in Egypt, for them to scrutinize where they are exactly. Try to perform acts of bestowal, see if it's possible or impossible. They should check it and by that advance. And all their actions are entirely in order to receive inside their ego, inside Egypt. So what? Otherwise there is no way for them to come out. We have to understand how do we work in Egypt, how do we connect between us in Egypt, how do we turn to the Creator, cry, demand, help, connect even more between us? We use the forces that we get from Him and in this way we advance toward the exodus, the escape from Egypt.

24. S. (39:36) If in the corporeal world there begins to be revealed a certain improvement in personal life, let's say you found new work and so on, what does it mean regarding our spiritual development and what needs to be my reaction as a student?

R. Typically we don't connect this world with the spiritual world in order to avoid confusion. We don't understand the spiritual world and believe me we understand even less about the corporeal world. But what I'm recommending is that anything that comes to a person in corporeal reality he should do everything in his power so he does not interfere with his spirituality. He doesn't have to reject corporeal opportunities, no. He should make money, he should be successful but it can't be against his spiritual development. If it's going against his spiritual development then he should refuse it, but if he can have both then he can receive it.

25. S. (41:10) When you feel the joy of eternity in time every day, does it mean that you are not trying hard enough and Pharoah is not standing in your way?

R. No, when you are getting blows it's possible that it’s because you've grown stronger and now you deserve to receive a blow and straighten your path through this disturbance.

26. S. (42:06) How to feel the recognition of evil in us in order to request from the Creator to exit the exile?

R. The exile means that I wish to reach actions in Lishma. Meaning to come out from in order to receive into in order to bestow. This is the meaning of coming out of the exile. And is this what I want? Am I ready for it? Hence we have to check how much we are actually in exile. Maybe it's not exile, maybe I just want to receive more fulfillments in that same will to receive of mine, then it's not considered exile. It means that I'm in a descent and I want an ascent with money, honor, knowledge, understanding, feeling, but not in bestowal and therefore it is not considered exile in Egypt and I don't feel the Pharaoh dominating me. Pharaoh is the force that grabs hold of me and doesn't let me get to bestowal, connection, to love. The force that interferes with this is called Pharoah. That's why Moses was raised in the house of Pharaoh. Meaning he received many forces against connection, against love, against spirituality. Later when he overcame it he became the greatest. To this date you don't have a person or a soul that is greater than the soul of Moses.

27. S. (44:44) Let's say we build many connections in the ten in bestowal, but suddenly the force of the Klipot comes and destroys each and every connection that we built inside the ten. It is also clear to me that the force of faith is weak against the force of Stuchim in the ten. How can we activate the quality of Moses in the ten?

R. Demand, only a prayer towards the Creator can help you here. You are like in school, you are getting homework that is getting increasingly more difficult. Yesterday I did it, tomorrow I have to do it again and the next day I have to do it again and what I had yesterday was easier, today is more difficult and tomorrow will be even more difficult, and in this way for 10 years, what is that? That's how we're going over our entire studies in life. So there's nothing to cry about, only to do these things meticulously inside the group with the Creator from one lesson to another. You'll see that soon you'll begin to understand the process, the system and the main thing is to come to know what they’re doing with you and how do you participate in it. It's a great pleasure to see yourself in the system that you're working in it and it's working on you, it's a wonderful thing. But for the time being we’re like little children who don't understand what but we try to confuse them so they will study and learn simple things and advance.

28. S. (47:28) The exit from Egypt is so near and at the same time as miraculous and impossible as Moses splitting the sea. What should our focus be so that we don't get away from this goal?

R. Be tighter together so our desires will accumulate into a compressed ball, a highly compressed ball. Our desires will connect in this way with such compression into a sphere, into a ball and we advance with it. All of us are in the same ball, our intentions, desires, all the relationships, everything is directed at the goal, from mutual bestowal to come to bestowal to the Creator, to resemble Him to some extent and then we go out to a new world. This is according to the laws of nature. There is nothing here that belongs to some belief system, religions, no, it's all according to the laws of nature.

29. S. (49:18) You said to see myself inside the system that's working on me and I'm participating in it. How to see myself in such a system?

R.It all depends how you see yourself as working in the system where there are thousands of people around you, I'm not exaggerating, thousands of people. Each one in various ways is trying to advance to some extent to a system, to one system, a common system where the Creator exists. To the extent we're incorporated in the same system called Adam HaRishon we discover the Creator there and we are included, each of us in His place and this means that we enter the upper world and it's entirely according to the force of bestowal and not the force of reception.

S. The system works in what privilege, the friends or what?

R. The system is working according to the law of mutual bestowal. It's exactly the way you see our world. On that world, it’s said I've seen an upside down world that's truly working according to the force of mutual bestowal.

30. S. (51:10) Without the force of Pharaoh we have nothing more to bestow to the Creator and so if we win over Pharoah what are we bestowing?

R. If we manage to rule over Pharaoh, to pull him towards us, then that force of reception called Pharaoh we are presenting it to the Creator. When we serve it to the Creator, the Creator is the force of the bestowal, the intention to bestow and we present him, Pharaoh, the will to receive. So it turns out that we have the will to receive in order to bestow and in this way the Creator fills the force of the corrected Pharaoh. That's why we need to see more and more our ego, our Pharaoh as an assisting force that's participating in our correction although seemingly in an inverted way. But in truth the more you advance you see that specifically with the help of Pharaoh, thanks to him we come to the end of correction.

31. S. (52:56) When you give a definition of a female Egyptian, the female being receiving and Israel the definition that it can pass on the light, where does Pharaoh fit in this?

R. I'm not exactly sure. We'll continue to study and you'll understand the answer. I'm not sure about the translation you're getting.

32. S. (53:37) We’ve calculated that we've come to this cry out to escape. Is it possible that we can't escape because we want to take too much of our Egyptian baggage with us, our Egyptian ways?

R. No. What's holding us back from exiting Egypt is that we we are too lazy to turn to the Creator. We don't turn to Him with all our might and in every opportunity. We don't connect before we turn to Him so we have a strong plea, a cry as one man and one heart. All these components prevent us from feeling the desired result that we rise above the ego and we can be in order to bestow.

33. S. (54:56) I see that I'm in Egypt but I don't think I want to exit it. Do I really need to want to exit Egypt? Is it enough that I'll be devoted to the desire of the Creator and He will do what He wants?

R. Yes you're saying correct things, I'm in Egypt and I know I'm in Egypt. I also agree that I'm staying here because I have no strength to come out and I also cannot see anything that's actually pulling me out of Egypt, that it's worthwhile for me to escape. If I would see something that makes it worthwhile maybe I would have the strength to come out but for now I don't, I'm willing to stay, what to do? I’m staying in for now, ask your friends do they agree with you or not? It's possible that for the time being you can stay in Egypt if we agree with Pharaoh. It says that we live in Egypt quite well, we call this seven years of satiation. Later when we begin to feel that this Pharaoh is controlling us not to our own benefit, he is preventing us from reaching the purpose of creation.

Instead he just leaves us in this world, in this temporary life this limited life. Then we begin to see that Pharaoh is not really doing things to our benefit, rather he buries us and then we want to come out. Then we begin the seven years of famine. Famine because even when we eat everything and we enjoy it. In corporeality there's everything but in spirituality we feel that we're lacking it. Early on we were missing that but now we're missing spirituality and we want to come out. What is this exodus for us? It's not exciting to a better corporeal life, we don’t care about corporeal life but for us to attain spiritual life, this is the difference. We are here, we are changing our values and that’s how we come out.

34. S. (57:57) How is the relationship between the quality of Moses and faith above reason?

R. It's the same. There are many additions here and differences but for all intents and purposes it's the same.

35. S. (58:33) What is this uniqueness of Moses that I recognize as the system and Pharaoh?

R. The soul of Moses is the general soul of all those who wish to reach in order to bestow the end of correction. That's why it's written that the soul of Moses exists in each and every generation and we need to try and come to the same qualities called the quality of Moses. It's the same soul, the same spiritual portion that is a tip and behind them all those who also want to come out of Egypt. In each and every one of us there is something of this inclination to reach adhesion with the Creator which is called the soul of Moses.

S. How can we correctly use this quality of Moses in our work?

R. We're doing it, we're gradually coming together, we're gradually scrutinizing the purpose of creation, the essence of it, how to come closer to it. This is all us scrutinizing the soul of Moses. Meaning that the desire, the sharp very clear desire at the purpose of creation, that is called the soul of Moses.

36. S. (01:00:49) The force of Moses is in the ten or beyond it?

R. The force of Moses is at the head of the group. In the head of each and every group you will find the force of Moses.

37. S. (01:01:15) When we in the ten want to feel the high values in creation we say things like I love your friends, I’m praying for you, and you say them lightly. The question is when we say these terms too many times do they lose value from their depth?

R. We do not lose anything, it's all according to our understanding. Like a child who grabs hold of his mom and says that he loves her. So how much does he love her, with what does he love her? It's like a tiny animal that is dependent on the greater animal, that is what is happening here, a child that grabs hold of his mom. We’re the same. All those values, all those definitions they are according to the user.

S. In our worlds we can agree on the colors like red and green but how can we agree on an action that’s called prayer?

R. For that we need to have common feelings. Before we connect between us we cannot agree on any spiritual definition that is one way or another for all of us.

38. S. (01:02:57) What is the head of Moses? Is it an action in the ten that we do towards others?

R. We will learn about Moses and understand that it speaks of a special quality that exists in each and every one of us.

39. S. (01:03:42) Is it possible that we can have all the tens send in their suggestions of what is keeping us from making this cry out and then as a collective group we can all agree on the main reason, Bnei Baruch as a whole, and we can all work on this one or two reasons together. What is stopping us from making this cry out to the Creator? We can methodically come to some kind of cry out together.

R. Try, try. For the time being right now in this moment you feel deficiency for it, so try. Soon this deficiency will disappear you’ll forget about it but for the time being for try to awaken everyone.

40. S. (01:04:37) Beforehand I hand you I heard your explanation about the sins and Pharoah and I did not understand the difference because it seems like they are very similar states. How can we understand the difference between them, the state of exile and descent?

R. No, the state of the descent is measured relative to the state of ascent. So we are going through states in a certain frequency, ups and downs like in this wave. These are the ascents and descents. What else did he ask?

S. How can we understand the differences between ascents and descents? What is the difference between when I feel myself in a descent or exile?

R. Exile is not same as ascents and descents. There's a feeling of exile more or less but exile means that I wish to reach in order to bestow, the force of bestowal since by that I reveal the Creator and I am in contact with Him, I'm in front of him. This is called redemption. And when I'm not in it yet, when I don’t discover the Creator, not in the same quality as the Creator in bestowal and love and connection, then it means that I am in exile. And in the exile there also a ascents and descents. And we perform various actions in order to come out as quickly as possible from the state of exile to the state of redemption since the difference between the exile and redemption is the revelation of the Creator. Just like in the words Galut and Geula, exile and redemption the difference is the letter Aleph which is the symbol of the Creator, the champion of the world.

41. S. (01:07:48) After we exit Egypt will there be need to return?

R. There is no return to Egypt, there's no return to Egypt. One time we go through slavery in Egypt, we receive all their vessels of reception, we come out of there and begin the correct them until the end of correction. So we have a period before Egypt when we are like animals and then we enter Egypt meaning those who yearn for attaining the purpose of creation, why all of creation exists, where is it pulling everyone to. And in this period we acquire these very big egoistic desires. This is what we call the Exile of Egypt. Then we come out of Egypt and we correct those vessels that we received as egoistical vessels in Egypt and in the end of their correction it means we’ve reached the general end of correction and by that we equalize with the Creator, we come to adhesion with Him. There is additional development beyond that but it’s not from within this deficiency. This is development in the 8th, 9th and 10th Millenia. I don't know about those things, we will get there and we will learn about it. So for us everything is open before us for eternity, for eternity. Don't be afraid of anything. Typically a person is afraid of dying but this body is worthless, it's an imagination that we exist and we're tied to this body. We will soon discover how this is simply an opportunity to do all kinds of work with our ego and nothing more.

42. S. (01:10:20) How can we help that aspect of Moses in us?

R. First of all connect between us because Moses connects the people, the nation and after we connect between us to be drawn to in order to bestow to the Creator, this is called “from love of the created beings”, when we try to connect between us, “to the love of the Creator”. We need to do these two parts along the way.

43. S. (01:11:07) What is the laziness that prevents us from exiting Egypt?

R. It's not laziness, it's our ego that is weighing on us and then it’s very difficult to even come close to another; it is hard for me to come close to the friends and shake them up towards an active action together in the group.

44. S. (01:11:50) Will we ever be able to bestow while we are in Egypt?

R. Never.

45. S. (01:12:07) What to do if you are already in despair from changing for yourself but you can request for the friends? Is it correct to concede all your efforts to change ourselves and think only of others?

R. It’s highly desirable not to think of himself but to think of the friends and then even when I'm a zero, I annul before them in practice and then I perform a true spiritual act.

46. S. (01:12:45) Why is man prevented from working for the Creator in joy?

R. If the action towards the Creator is in order to bestow, truly in order to bestow, a person feels joy; joy is a sign of a good deed.

47. S. (01:13:13) Are ascents and descents a sign of partial faith?

R. Ascent and descent are a sign of a partial faith, yes you can say that.

48. S. (01:13:37) Why does the ego fight us so much and does not understand it is good to bestow?

R.That is its role, it is an angel, it's a special force the Creator sets it up and this force functions properly. It is highly loyal to the Creator and it is performing the opposite action.

49. S. (01:14:07) Is the action for the spiritual progress of the ten always need to feel as pleasant for the ten?

R. We will go through it but regarding what we said before about the ego, just imagine that you are, say, that you say you're going to the spiritual world and you see the truth,  and you see what needs to be done and you're told you now have to perform the tasks of the evil inclination. But how can I play the role of the evil inclination, I'm in the world of Truth? All of us trying to work in order to bestow, to give in connection, take this role and do it, I am told, that is it. The Creator demands it, you will do it. Could I do it or not? If I see the whole world, all of the reality is in order to bestow, everyone is in spirituality and I am told, “no you have to be corporeal, you have to work in order to receive, the evil inclination, do this role”. How is this possible? Just imagine, each one, what would you do, how would you feel? How would you speak to the Creator, to the friends, to yourselves? Just check how not simple it is; only if we rise above the will to receive to any direction that is required and I do not care if I am in order to receive, an order to bestow, if I don't care for myself then I become free and I can function according to the commandments of the Creator and as for myself I am just a point of zero.

50. S. (01:16:34) About bestowal, how can I wish for something that I don't know what we are speaking about? Everything I aimed for turned out to be for myself?

R. It doesn't matter if it turned out to be in order to receive for yourself. When you give a gift to someone for their birthday or something, of course that is also egoistic. But you do it and it is just pleasant for you and it is pleasant for the one you give it to, so in this way it turns out that you get closer to each other. So it's good to do these things and by this we will come closer. When we will come closer to each other by this we have room for the Creator to come between us; the closer we are between us, the Creator comes between us and then it turns out that by this I make room for the Creator. The Creator doesn't need a wide, big space, on the contrary, He needs there to be a difference between one and the other, and that difference will be zero. And there is a difference but it is zero and then the Creator is there. It also stands from the laws of nature, even from the laws of physics, we will talk about it another time.

Excerpt 146 (01:18:33 – 01:20:13)

51. S. (01:20:19) I wanted to ask: you said the difference that there is is important, that there is a difference between us but it should be zero?

R. When we want so much to join our thoughts, desires and intentions so they will all work in the same direction and there will be almost no difference between them but the difference comes to us from nature, from the Creator. But we above it want to be adhered to one another and this way, we obtain zero place between us, in the connection between us, and then we discover the Creator there 100% because the Creator doesn't need a place and if there is some gap between us, there, it is already the Sitra Achra.

S. How can we combine the desires and thoughts with a friends in the ten in such a way?

R. The Creator does it, you will want it to be this way and He will do it.

52. S. (01:21:40) When you answered the women, you said that “happiness is a sign of the correct action”?

R. It is written that “joy is a result of good deeds”.

S. What is the right action?

R. Good deeds or correct deeds are those actions by which we come closer to each other, correct our connection, just like in the system of Adam before the breaking.

S. So a sign for the right intention is?

R. Yes, in order to connect between us as one man with one heart.

S. And intention and action are different from one another?

R. In spirituality, no, in spirituality the action and the intention are the same, the action is the intention.

53. S. (01:23:10) It says in the excerpt that “the back is faith”. When we reach adhesion to the Creator it disappears, the quality of faith?

R. No, it becomes complete faith; it's the force of bestowal that is filled with the complete desire to bestow, meaning there is light of Hochma in it. The light of Hassidim with the light of Hochma in it is called “complete faith”.

54. S. (01:23:56) Why do Kabbalists say that “the mind belongs to the will to receive”? We can aim our desire to receive and manage it towards the bestowal with our mind?

R. It is normally said this way but the intellect is born out of the will to bestow, it is called “the Rosh, the head of the spiritual Partzuf”, we will learn it. Today we are touching several things that I am happy we are somehow advancing already. I recommend to hear the lesson again, the lesson we just had now and that will help us advance more.

Excerpt 147 (01:25:06 - 01:25:15)

55. R. (01:25:17) “Cast him in the Nile” means this: in Egypt, when a baby boy was born, throw him in the Nile, in the river, drown him, and a girl, keep her alive. Because a boy means in order to bestow, the intentions to bestow that awaken in a person and the intentions to receive that are called a girl, let them continue to live. So “cast him in the Nile”, don't let him that new born aim even in corporeal actions in order to bestow, called the discernment of a boy.

Reader continues: (01:26:17 - 01:27:40) “ . . . and every girl keep alive . . . ” twice

56. R. (01:27:42) A desire to receive in order to bestow. The land is a desire eretz ratzon, a desire.

57. S. (01:27:52) So how can a person work if every attempt to bestow, even before he can do anything, if it’s killed?

R. Keep going according to what you understand in the text and hear from the friends, and you will see how it advances and advances and pulls you toward, how? You will see from your own experience, “there is none so wise as the experienced”. What you hear from me, it all disappears.

58. S. (01:28:33) It is written, “to kill the sons”, does that mean to take the vitality or the intention to bestow?

R. It is the same, all the forces that pertain to intention to bestow, those forces disappear and the person has to start over and over on the work, and then the forces that are in order to bestow disappear in the Nile, they drown. But bit by bit, gradually, through such actions. troubles accumulate, blows, demands that it will not happen; and the person begins to perform some actions against it so his intentions to bestow that he had will not drown and they bring him, they do not remain, but they bring him to a demand, to an outcry to come out of Egypt.

59. S. (01:30:10) You might have partially answered but still about this excerpt: that the purpose of creation is the purpose of the Creator to bring creation to the good. So why to toss the son into the Nile because only thanks to him can you reach the good, how can you reach it without the sons?

R. Precisely because of this the boys are thrown into the Nile so they will have no chance to achieve Redemption, this is the action. Meaning all the hopes, all the intentions, all the actions that a person does, if they might bring him closer to correction, to the Creator, and all those actions should be destroyed, to not let them exist, what does that do? It makes these actions nevertheless create in a person more and more necessity to emerge in every way, anyway he can, to emerge from all of Egypt because he sees that within Egypt he cannot remain. Some people are willing to remain this way and there were such people inEgypt who seemingly cried out to Moses, “why are you doing this to us, Pharoah is just fine, look what he's doing. He feeds us, he gives us abundance, we have a great life.” In order to bring the people to a desperate state that you cannot exist in Egypt, this is why there is this action. That all the thoughts from which acts of bestowal are born must be seen as thoughts that cause death, real death. And opposite from that, as a result of it, we begin to understand that only by running away, by rising above our ego, can we and this way, can we achieve life's purpose.

60. S. (01:3:15) How can a person check his intention?

R. How can a person check his intention? Normally the intention is checked through the action. The intention is clarified in the action, try to check it this way and then tell us if it succeeds or not.

S. We say “intention before the deed”, can I do a deed that feels unpleasant in order to change my intention or to check it?

R. Try it, yes, try it and this way you can correct intentions too. You don't want to bestow but try to bestow, and then you will see through your action how much you are already coming to change your appreciation of bestowal. That suddenly you do think that it is correct and good.
