127. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great Shofar [festive horn] shall be blown, and they who were lost in the land of Assyria, and were outcasts in the land of Egypt shall come.” “And it shall come to pass in that day,” that day that is known to the Creator, as it is written, “And it shall be one day Which is known to the Lord.” “In that day,” as it is written, “In the day when Gog comes over the soil of Israel.”
128. What have we with it, if it is a great or a small Shofar? However, it is a high Shofar in which slaves always go free. It is the Yovel, Bina, which is a great and high Yovel. When it awakens to bestow, all the freedom of the worlds awakens in it, and it is called a “great Shofar.”
129. “And they who were lost in the land of Assyria.” It should have written “who are lost” or “who are being lost,” but what is “who were lost”? It is truly lost, since they are in a different land, and one who is in a different land suckles from a different authority and it is as though he is not in faith. This is why they are called “lost,” since they lost the faith.
They are lost in all the sides, above and below, since when Israel are in the holy land, they are righteous and are always rewarded with everything, above, in the abundance of ZA, and below, in the abundance of Malchut. When they are abroad, they lose all that.
130. “They who were lost” are the righteous, Yesod, and the assembly of Israel is Malchut. It is written about the assembly of Israel, “Over what was the land,” Malchut, “lost”? It is not written “lost” or “being lost,” but “the land was lost,” which is the assembly of Israel. It is written about the righteous, “the righteous is lost.” It is not written “lost” or “has been lost,” but rather “is lost.” Thus, the righteous and the assembly of Israel are called “lost.”
131. It is written, “And they who were lost shall come.” From which place do those who are lost come, namely the righteous and the assembly of Israel, who are Yesod and Malchut? The assembly of Israel comes from the exile. The righteous is as it is written, “When the Lord brought back the captives of Zion,” Yesod, who is called Zion, so he will return to his place and come to bond with the assembly of Israel. For this reason, “And they who were lost shall come from the land of Assyria.”
And it is written, “Bow down to the Lord in the mountain of holiness in Jerusalem.” What does it mean if they who are lost are Yesod and Malchut? This matter, “Bow to the Lord,” concerns the outcasts in the land of Egypt, that they will bow down to the Lord, since Israel do not come out of exile unless seemingly with the Shechina, and those outcasts bowed down to the Lord, to the Shechina.
