Why Are the Jews Uniquely Gifted in the World of Business, Commerce, and Banking?

Inside every Jew sits the image of a merchant. This comes from the earliest roots of our people, as the ability to make connections is imprinted in us. For generations, we used this ability for business success, but today's survival conditions are changing. Today's world needs a new kind of business, and there is a pressing demand upon Jews in relation to this new business.

A long time ago, we enjoyed harmonious, peaceful, and loving connections. As it is written, "as one man with one heart," and "all of Israel are friends." In our bonds of love we felt the single force dwelling in nature. We wanted to increasingly resemble it in our relations to each other and to the surrounding nature, and we exercised a positive influence of love, bestowal, and connection on each other, humanity, and nature by doing so. Our desires would grow, but we knew how to use them as levers to rise above the differences and gaps that appeared between us, and united above the rifts.

At a certain point, a major leap of our desires' growth took place, and as a nation we could no longer withstand it. Positive connection soured into mutual rejection, division, and hatred. This led to our ruin, and we went into exile among the nations of the world. Since then, we have wandered among humanity, using the remnants of that ability to connect mostly for the sake of making more and more money.

Yet, we have a special place reserved in the universal puzzle. We can be the glue among all human beings. We have the ability to bring about a harmonious, peaceful, and well-connected world, channeling the power of love and giving through to everyone, to transform the world from a power-based system that exists in constant struggle, conflict, and war into an integral system, one where all parts feel connected like cells in a living body, and in the flow between them achieve a level of existence higher than the narrow limits of individual perception.

Such conscious connection among us will lift us to a higher, spiritual level of existence. Gradually, our entire perception of reality will change. We will break through the boundaries of time, space, and motion, and discover a higher dimension.

So with all due respect to business, our purpose in the family of nations is to make spiritual connections, to tie together humanity's hearts and minds, and to build a system that will function harmoniously, peacefully, and in mutual complementarity. In this integral setup, each part will feel what it should optimally give and receive in order to maintain the system's overall balance. We can also call this "spiritual commerce," and it is true business, the most profitable and rewarding kind.

With this big picture in mind, how can we relate to the recurring waves of antisemitism sweeping the world, the hatred of Jews that changes forms and wrappings over the generations? They point to an accumulating lack.

The interconnected world is suffering from ego games a d power struggles, and with all the technology we have developed, it does not take much to cut off the branch everyone is sitting on. If we knew how to cooperate, we could use technological advancement to build heaven on earth for everyone. However, we are now far from such a state. The world is crumbling, falling apart, lacking glue, a proper connection among people, and the more the situation deteriorates, the more Jew-hatred will rise.

People worldwide feel Jew-hatred in different ways. Maybe they consider Jews the conspirators who are hiding a secret from everyone, or that Jews are pulling the strings and twisting everything that happens in the world behind the scenes, or that they are simply to blame for the suffering and shortcomings that people feel in myriad ways. They feel it in their gut, even if it is not polite to say it aloud. Moreover, when viewing the spirit in Western universities, it is frightening to think about the forces can rise against us in the coming future.

What the world needs from Jews is a new startup, i.e., the beginning of an ascent to a new kind of positive human connection above the divisions and differences surfacing today. Within our people is the method for connection above all differences and ego. We received this method from Abraham, and today must research and develop its applications, to establish a model society that will shine light to the world, and which will show how people with the biggest, most opinionated, and stubborn egos, can build an integral system of connection.

Tomorrow's businesses will be different in essence. There will be no room to build success on the ruin of others, and every connection will be aimed at promoting the well-being of all. Like in a warm and loving family, everyone will be taken into account in every action, and the constant concern will be for balance. We all need to profit together, to rise in living standards, in order to improve the state of the world.

The ecological situation will force us to reduce non-essential industries that serve to destroy our common home, and excessive consumer culture will fade away. With advanced technologies, we will ensure every person's material survival needs, and the time that will be freed for us and our mental powers will be invested into developing positive human connection, bonds of love. Thus, we will enter, step by step, into a world of spiritual business, advanced connections between open hearts, which will stream a higher and greater life to everyone.
