Love for the Creator - Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #8

1.Rav’s Introduction: The created beings must be opposite of the Creator otherwise they would not exist as independent, exist outside of this force that exists in reality above space, time and changes. How does the Creator seemingly solve this problem of, on one hand, creating the creatures, the created beings, people on the other hand they can come to a state, a degree, an attainment, existence like him, no less. This is his goal to bring the creatures to his degree. Consequently, other than desire that is opposite to him, the desire to receive in place of his will to bestow, he gave this will to receive an environment, an environment that repels, that is opposite, that is a threatening environment, hostile environment to the will to receive. He broke the will to receive into pieces and then this is the point, this is the crux of the matter, that special point that he gave this will to receive the possibility, each and every part in the broken will to receive has the ability to come close to the others. They will be able to look at the others as a part of themselves where in generally speaking, we are in a world, we have to understand that if we wish to reach the degree of the Creator, we must relate to this entire world as ourselves.

There is no other, there is no stranger, there is nothing that is opposite, somebody that I hate or reject or refuse to accept, there is nothing like this, there is no evil inclination, there is no other side that are all parts of myself that I have to come close to and bring myself to a state where I love them. As it is written with both of your desires, with the good inclination and with the evil inclination, this is why we are given this great world and it is only a small part of what we can see. We do not see how this world is opposite in all these different forms relative to us, we will feel that reject us and we need to feel this world as mine, that it is simply me, that everything they are parts of my soul. Not just simply near to me but they are parts of my soul, they are parts of myself, this is what we have to come to. Of course these things are still remote from our understanding, attainment, from our practical actions but nevertheless we have to progress more and more towards this process we have to undergo, we need to start approaching this. I am not the one choosing the state, I'm not the one choosing the time. I am telling you what I must tell you, although in truth inside of me, if it was up to me, I do not think that we would come to this material of love of others, of love of the Creator. The Creator arranged before us the whole world, a hostile world that is opposite to us, that is at odds with us, so this is how we have to take this.

Because otherwise we can't feel this because we do not have the quality of bestowal, the quality of love, we have only the opposite. This is how we are and we need to imagine each and everything that we see, anything that we can even detect because we detect something because it is opposite to us. I need to see in every detail of the world in each and every detail that it is ours, it is truly ours to such an extent that connection to the detail is a connection to the soul, to our soul, connection to the Creator. This is why we need to gradually come to this. We have to think about this, we have to reach, we have to discuss this but this is the innermost point and the most important point in the process of correction. For years we discussed different discernments, but this is the innermost point for the time being, everything else will be even deeper inside this point. I do not know what else to add, everything depends on your questions. Whatever you want to ask, go ahead.

2. S. (07:33) How to achieve such adhesion to the world with that ten it is clear, I ask for the friends, I incorporate in them, how to be like this with the world?

R. When you hear in your mind, then you'll understand that the whole world is you and only it seems to you, that on the outside there are different part that you have to work on yourself so you see that all the details of the world are coming close to you, uniting with you and you become an integral part of the world and include all parts of reality and everybody. That they are all essential component elements in your soul and when you look at it this way then you gradually start to feel that it is truly so. You begin from this point to come to such relationships, such thoughts that this is how it is going to be stabilized, you will see that eventually you'll see that indeed what is before me, it is me, myself on the inside and all these other parts are parts of my soul and if I begin to connect them that means that I love them. I connect them to myself, I unite them, I unify them in myself, I bring myself back to the correction, to the state of Adam HaRishon and there is nothing else here. It is me, myself in the state of Adam HaRishon and the Creator who fulfills me and it doesn't bother me that the others are thinking this way as well or not, it does not bother me at all because everybody is working on the same plan, the same goal.

S. How to connect the different elements and perceptions of the world?

R. To unify, to connect all these other parts of creation together, we do not need to work on them like a construction worker or an engineer, to put together all these pieces like children building a house from blocks. No, we only need to open ourselves up as much as possible in love, love is the force of connection and then above all the divisions that distance and transgressions, love will cover and connect and this is the act of the upper light, it is not our action. We just need to know, we will see, we will attain how these parts connect and we build the single soul that includes everything and it is not our work but it is the work of the Creator. This is how it is called, the work of the Creator, meaning to see everything that belongs to me, everything that I see, the whole world. I see there are parts of my soul, this is the correct view of the world and don't be afraid when we see certain stars or empty spaces in the heavens, in the sky, in the galaxy. It does not matter, it is completely and absolutely not a problem. It is just what we see and then we will see how these things unify in us and certainly this is how we can construct ourselves into a single soul. Think about this, it is not a big problem to understand this principle.

3. S. (13:00) The whole world is a part of me, why is it so important to work with the ten beginning?

R. Can you swallow the whole world, can you be considered to everybody, to treat everybody as if they were yours, your soul to connect with them with your heart and soul and you expect them to treat you also accordingly to help you. You are not in a state where you see them as a replica of your internal qualities, you are still not in control of your internal qualities, if I were in charge of my internal qualities then whatever I see whatever in me I see it happening outside of me as well but I am not there yet. I am not there yet and I do not have any possibility, the best way to connect all reality to aim the whole reality to me this way. This is how we approach this state, that's why the Creator broke everything into tens and hundreds and thousands and thousands and so on, that many pieces. We see this even in the Torah how we need to count everything and divide everything up, this is a gradation, this is only when we come closer to the concept of everything being one. I need to see myself in this, I see myself as connecting everybody with my love not using any strength or force but love. I turn to the Creator and ask each time from him more and more to connect everything, to establish everything, to help everyone to become as one man in one heart and by this we attain this force that works and does this as a single force.

4. S. (15:43) I have a problem with my nature that causes me to feel that I want to feel everything as fake because if I try to do this work and try to love the friends but I do not feel love inside of me. I feel my nature telling me that this is not real, this is not truthful, so how can we develop this ability so I do not listen to my nature but I feel everything as one?

R. This is the work, not at once but good and grace shall pursue me all the days of my life, this is where we enter the work so we have to see the whole reality still, vegetative, animate and speaking as parts of my soul. I want to unify them, connect them, bring them to a state where I do not see them as they are in the form of still, vegetative, animal and speaking but I see them as a combination of forces of bestowal. This is what I wish to reveal so I do not look at those friends in my eyes, they are not people, they are internal forces through which the Creator relates to me, will speak about it later.

5. S. (17:41) Is it possible to sort out the stages of correction between me and the world?

R. We will see how it divides, do it with everybody but it will all come, it will come that moment you will be able to relate to it correctly in a way it is beneficial to our progress then we will talk about it.

6. S. (18:22) The actions we should do to increase the love of friends. What are these?

R. Anything through which you can establish the group as the soul.

7. S. (18:45) Man wants to receive something to get something but he says that he cannot and maybe he will never get it, this is one kind of sorrow but the bigger sorrow is when the person understands that someone else will receive. So besides him he is also supposed to help the others to receive it otherwise it goes into suffering and troubles. Can you describe what is this state when the friend receives what you want to receive?

R. This speaks of those stages, the stages of correction you have to go through not only that you wanted to receive that pleasure and you will not receive it and not only that you don't receive it but somebody else will receive your portion, these are the stages of your correction. We have to see them in truth, you have to bring that person so close to you that you begin to feel that it is a part of your soul that whatever he receives is the best for you because it is as if you received it. You are not creating any distance between you and him and it's like the mother and her baby, you bring something to her baby or bring something to the mother.

Is there a difference for the mother, if you bring something to her or you bring something to the baby, the baby comes first always this is it. It is the same here with us meaning your thoughts are correct, they are not good but they are correct. It just shows that you have to correct all of those things and you have to think and you have to understand you have to bring it closer and attain it that your friend is you. That it is an internal most part of you this is the part that the Creator created, these parts move away from you seemingly according to the measurement of the ego in you. So the more you bring closer somebody who is further away from you, by that you correct yourself to a greater extent. This is the meaning of that he who is greater than his friend his evil inclination is also greater. Here we are getting into this work of practical method, how to receive and accept these foreign parts as your own, to put together the system of the soul of Adam HaRishon and discover the Creator in it as the operating force, the force that fulfills the whole system.

This will truly be come and see, that you are making efforts for connection and you'll see that you are not capable, you do not have the force of connection, it is to the contrary but you detect that here you are missing connection and above your reason, above your desire you ask the Creator to connect these parts together. The parts that connect you begin to attain the parts of unity, our entire work is attaining the unification, the unification of creation and that more we unite together all of us, we by this attain the Creator. That he is the result of the work of unity we attain him as the one unique and unified, we will learn about these details but these points that we started to touch on yesterday and the day before yesterday, these last few days, these are the most important points. This is the truthful correct inner work and we are in the starting point of this path but this is the line which brings us to connect, to inner correction.

8. S. (24:00) How to relate our internal work when we discover our evil inclination, that evil inclination does not exist as you just said, so how do we relate to this, if it does not exist but we have to reveal the evil inclination?

R. The evil inclination exists, the Creator created it on purpose so we as created beings would be able to locate this and feel the good inclination as the advantage of the light from darkness and this is why we exist in this evil inclination. This is an artificial form, the form that is opposite to itself, the Creator who created it, it is a carbon copy of the Creator seemingly and we discover one against the other but the Creator made the advantage of the light from darkness. This is how we exist because otherwise we would not be able to feel without the desire to receive, without the evil inclination we would not reveal anything from the spiritual reality. Instead we specifically the revelation is the revelation of reception, this is why it is called the wisdom of reception, that through the force of reception, through the receiving force discovered the opposite force, the first better created this receiving force, that is how it happens.

S. This is what it means that at the end of correction, we are all in this collective feeling in this one reality, then the evil inclination will not be there anymore that we see that it does not exist at the end?

R. I cannot tell you what will happen at the final correction. I do not like to speak about things that I myself did not attain, not even a little bit, the end of correction can be anything which returns to the original form. I cannot say that I do not think that the evil inclination is revoked, it is cancelled at the end instead it will exist as the foundation for the good inclination. This is what I can see there is more than this, there are additional developments as we say the development of the 8th, 9th, and 10th Millennium who knows but it is above all our intellect and feeling it is a totally new reality but whatever we can attain we will not have a name for it.

9. S. (27:08) Can we change the perception of reality that we do not see it through the prism of the ego?

R. This is what we try to do in the group, in our work, on our desires and to bring those selfish forms together until we unite them without any distance between them, this is what we want to return all reality from the ten and then more than the ten into a single reality. This is our work and the single desire to receive, all of it entirely in bestowal because otherwise it would not be in one.

10. S. (28:21) How to depict what it means to love the Creator on behalf of the created beings because we are not the form that develops us, we are trying to attain his degree and the love comes later?

R. I do not know where you take your philosophy from.

S. I feel that love is a very internal emotion. The question is the following, what is the emotion of love that comes from the created beings that is his love and he gives that to the Creator?

R. This is how the person turns to the created and the person asks to see the whole of reality the way the Creator sees it as one, everything is one, the upper force, None Else Besides Him working in it.

S. Love is a feeling that the created being acquired as his?

R. As much as if he can get the force of bestowal as dominating the force of reception, these two forces unite and they reveal the unity of the two forces that come from a single source and then the revelation of the source that single source of the force of reception and force of bestowal happening together this is called the revelation of the Creator. This state is called love, the connection of two opposite parts completely, you cannot say into a single desire but nevertheless, into a single body and they have one goal, to reveal the love between them, the good attitude, the devotion between them, between the Creator and the created being. We will find nicer words as later we will go to the Sefirot, Partzufim and the worlds. We will talk about it in the form of attaining unity. Then we will learn about it and in such a way it will move us, we won’t be talking about it with our intellect as it exists here or there on paper or in the computer or in our imagination but it exists in our connection between us to the Creator.

11. S. (31:27) Do we have to justify the conditions given to us in order to achieve unity with the friends?

R. Of course we have to be in a state where we justify the Creator for each and every step for each and every moment because in that, it is certain that we unite all the parts of creation as we imagine them in the state. This is our work, our work in each and every mode of existence is to bring about unity, bring about unity in each and every mode of existence, all of reality. Everything I feel it all belongs to a single force, to the Creator and it now comes to me, it appears in me that I would unify it and reveal it for the time being as the only force that activates it.

12. S. (33:13) What does it mean to open myself with everybody, what do I want from every part of me?

R. I want from every part to feel that it has to need, has a necessity that it has this must have from the others because otherwise he does not have oxygen, he doesn't have any life that's what we have to come to.

13. S. (34:03) Is love for a woman an exercise in preparation for loving the Creator?

R. We will talk about it, I do not want to get confused about it, we'll talk about it later. Wife, children, parents, all our relatives, the division into nations and the countries, where does it all come from, it is from the general structure of Adam HaRishon. From the outset with Adam and Eve and from before all of creation, this is the first point of these two parts and then they keep dividing. We will talk about it, I want to ensure first at each and every day we acquire a complete form of reality and the resolution will come later, we will get deeper and deeper into it, but it will always not break the previous image but instead advance by more feeling, going back to the previous state again and then reach new state. You can ask but I am quite limited in answering you and jumping ahead, so this is how we advance.

14. S. (35:41) How can we achieve a scrutiny to understand when the friend is a part of my soul and when the friend is like the Creator to me and when the friend is a partner on the path, when do we have to correct ourselves together?

R. All those states we discover in each and every moment along the way when we develop and in my work in connection with the friends, I will always see him going through different states either for or against but as helping in one thing and creating disturbances in other things. So there is no way to talk about it really, you can write novel about it, long stories about our relationships. I do not think that this is recommended, we will talk about it and ultimately each and everybody needs to feel inside of him these various events, internal events, more internal or less internal or external that the person experiences to the friends and to the world. That would be relative to the Creator, everything relative to the Creator in our attitude to the Creator where we ask the Creator the unify all those things and for him to connect us together so would feel him as a single force. The most important main action is to connect so the Creator will be revealed as one in that we give him contentment, by this we attain our primary connection, correction when we connect as one, we reveal him, we discover him as one.

15. S. (38:19) Each time I hear the word love it repels me, do we have to use the word love, tell the friends I love them, it is very difficult?

R. When we speak of the love of the mother to the baby, does it also reject you.?

S. I do not have a baby, I do not feel it.

R. I am not saying you are a mother but see how the mother loves her child, the baby, you hate the notion as well, you look down on that as well?

S. No, I see that the mother loves, I do not feel what love is.

R. We are not talking about you, you do not feel anything but you can say in a word that there is the matter of love here between the mother and her baby. There is also love sometimes between two people who feel this, perhaps that you did not feel it, yet I understand you, but you can still develop these things. You can develop them that part of this love is hate, this is why we are under the force of hate, the evil inclination that is I have received the mutual rejection from each other and the more that person is rejected by others according to his nature, this is a sign that he has a higher soul and he can progress and replace the hate with love. He who is greater than his friends reaches the state of great because his evil inclination is also greater than his friends. It is always like this, light excels from darkness, this is when you hate, you don't understand what love is, you disregard it, you look down on it, this is ok. These are your starting conditions the Creator created in you but we want to turn this into spirituality, into the good, the eternal, the whole force, this is in your hand and we will work on this together. I also went through similar things and it is not too bad so slowly, slowly. You will see how I am not opening for you something but each day another slice, another slice, this is how we progress, you are not allowed to do it any different, these are the rules of spiritual education.

16. S. (41:14) We had a very unifying physical meeting last Friday. I would like to know that each had to make a lot of effort to get to the meeting and it was really successful, what do we do in order to preserve this feeling because after we feel that we are kind of loosening and we have burdening, so how to preserve or even amplify this?

R. First of all none as wise as the experienced so the person who sees this development through various states is not getting too many impressions from them, he knows that this is how it was and how it will be. Besides the fact that he is under a certain impression right now, an emotional impression is the most important, you can tell him about all kinds of philosophies but he does not hear it because he feels and what he feels is more important. Nevertheless, through the environment, not through a person inside but using the relation to the environment to the ten, and you can balance and move from one state to the other this is the work of a capacitor.

We have fulfillment here in one barrel and remove it to another barrel and then move it to another one and this way the person in the ten, the ten and the person, can work together. By this they can find balance that whatever we accumulate in the ten shall help us for tomorrow, who knows what form I am going to have tomorrow, either up or down and elevation or fall, but the ten will always be like a shock absorber. Through that, although I am making progress when I am using the ten but my shocks work and they move me forward each time, always ahead and this is the solution. We work through that, it works like a piston in the engine, all of our progress is done by taking from one place to another place, some energy, some force, transferring them. This is what we do between man and the ten, this is how a person needs to work with the ten.

Then later we discover how it all works between everybody, between all the friends then it becomes a single state. Then we see again that it is not simply ten pistons that which we come to a good result but it is a combination of qualities all these Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzach and the opposite of that and we see how it all gives us each time a new picture of the world and the word is a 10 Sefirot connected together. How they bring to me each time a new world with all of its colors and the sounds and everything but on the condition that I am able to connect everything into a single source and I wish to justify this single source the Creator and attain love.

17. S. (46:13) We are talking about the beginning of the practical work but still can I find the beginning of the refinement?

R. Refinement or precision I am not certain about, what we are talking about you have to hear this during the day and then summarize it if possible and then realize it and we implement as much as possible. Imagine how this is happening, talk about it together and through that you will invite the reforming light and it is a very powerful quality relative to the state we are discussing. We are not turning to it simply superficially but instead the light has to arrange this state and put it together for us.

18. S. (47:21) I feel that what hinders the love of friends is that there is criticism as we measure their friends all the time. On the other hand I also measure myself and I have self-criticism. So how to take this criticism, that attitude and turn into something positive instead of being negative?

R. Again this is done when we are discussing between ourselves how we are parts of a single body and how no one is free, no one is truly distant from the others. But we just have to reach some form of unity, an initial form of unity that we enter into conception as a point, as a drop of semen. And then the upper force will bestow to us, will influence us with love and then we feel ourselves more and more developing, growing from state to state, which means from day to day until we go through all 9 months of pregnancy. And then we are born, but in the connection between us we start to see ourselves inside the Creator and all our work as the annulment of our ego for the time being, and the desire to only connect between us regardless of what will be and what is happening, only to connect. This is called love covers all transgressions and in that the Creator works on us, accordingly, develops us a drop of semen that is included of 10 forces, strange forces, different forces, and He works on us and develops us.

19. S. (49:33) How to discuss something in the ten something we still do not feel?

R. Try to imagine it, depict it, portray it forcefully as much as you can, again envy, lust and honor, activate those things. When you envy one another when, each wants to be greater than the others, he wants to support the others, together with it wants to control them and he wants to annul before them. Activate those forces but the important thing is to bring them together, connect them together. We will stop talking about things in this way and we will move to work that’s more practical but I am afraid that when we get into it then people will lose because in the practical work we are speaking about forces, of ascents, descents, we’re using such terms from TES and then we’ll lose contact with reality.

20. S. (50:50) If we are talking about the states as you said with our emotions and the playing it out and so on, by this we hasten the feeling of it?

R. Of course, as Baal HaSulam writes there is nothing in reality that a person cannot feel rather, he needs to delve into it, go deeper, try to come closer to it and then through these various exercises he will be begin to feel things. You don’t have anything that exists in reality and that is completely concealed from us, but through these exercises through the efforts we can come to them and feel them.

S. So let's say we take this topic today. Do you recommend discussing this topic throughout the week or just one time, how to relate to it?

R. You should go back to it each time, it seems that there is place for it, because we are going through many states, we are talking about many things.

21. S. (52:19) How can we accelerate the process?

R. Everything depends on how much we demand from the Creator meaning the upper light to take care of us. This depends on the speed of our advancement.

22. S. (52:51) Does the intention to bestow to the Creator and to love the world come from connecting in the ten?

R. Yes.

23. S. (53:08) How can we feel the whole world as our parts before we complete the work in our ten, or is it a parallel effort, love for the ten and love for the world?

R. We have to reach a state where we feel the entire world as being a part of us together, it’s made of us together but it all depends on our effort, although women are more closed off inside compared to men. Men are more open, women are more closed but relative to this concept of love, women can actually be more open and more prepared. So we have to move forward and everything is in your hands. The important thing is to disconnect from seeing things with our physical eyes, we wish to see everybody spiritually, all of us as parts of a single body.

24. S. (54:32) How to combine the corrected perception of the world you are talking about now with the guidance that in the external world we have to work by the rules that are accepted in the egoistic society?

R. Specifically like this the Creator created this so we will have two opposing worlds. We will know how to relate to everybody in a normal way as is customary in this world, in this calm manner, and the in the tens and in the group of the global BB we will relate to each other differently. This is the kind of attitude we have to develop. The attitude between us is a friendly one of love, this is in the BB organization in general and even more in my ten, and in a cordial attitude, not bad, but we also do not disclose love to the world because it is impossible. They would not be able to feel it or accept it correctly.

25. S. (55:58) What is the difference between feeling everybody as part of my soul and feeling myself as a part of a single soul?

R. Try to advance in both views, you will feel the difference yourself. It is a matter of feelings, it is hard to talk about it, we cannot express it correctly.

26. S. (56:30) If the Creator speaks to us through other people, external people, how do I understand His language as His demand for us, especially if unpleasant states happened?

R. I speak to the Creator only through my ten and not through some strangers. My ten are not strangers, they are parts of my soul. This is how I speak to the Creator and everything else that is happening I am not relating to it.

Excerpt 8 (57:13)

27. R. (58:50) Meaning we cannot advance or see anything except through the contrast, the difference between different feelings, different colors, different sounds, it doesn't matter. If we lack a discernment for and against something we cannot discern it. We discern something only in the boundary, the border between one force and another. I don't know what the force of hate is and what the force of love is objectively by themselves, I'm on the scene between the two. There I'm feeling an attainment of one against the other. That's why we are called created beings and that's how we exist, so don't be afraid of differences, of distances, opposite forms, only patience and being in the right existence, the right environment. It will bring us the light from above and it will arrange for us this view from the good side and from the bad side, from judgment and mercy.

28. S. (01:00:26) It says here in the excerpt that first the light came and then it was disclosed and then the harsh Din became revealed. Can you explain that?

R. No, there was the light of Ein Sof that fills all of reality then there was a restriction. The light departed completely and it came back as a line, a line of measure that works on each and every desire to the extent according to the measure by which the desire can adapt itself to the light. And that's why the light appears to the desire as a line meaning a predefined limited balance, so the desire will be able to receive it in equivalence of form.

29. S. (01:01:24) You said earlier today that revelation of the Creator is connecting the desire with the light meaning two opposite things, and also here in the excerpt it says there was a place where two ends connect as one. What is that place where they connect?

R. This is done through the Partzuf that we are building that has coarseness, and over the coarseness there is restriction, screen and reflected light. And by that we adapt the will to receive that is inside the coarseness, inside the Malchut to the work of bestowal, as if Malchut bestows. Then Malchut can connect to Bina in these two parts together, the part that bestows and the part that receives. And in the connection between them they build the Partzuf out of themselves and in this way, we exist although we remain in the will to receive and the will to receive keeps growing more and more in us, but more and more we're able to adapt it and its form, its outer appearance to the desire to bestow.

30. S. (01:02:47) What does it mean that according to the excerpt that the Creator takes his soul from him, what does it mean?

R. There are things we haven't discussed yet and you are going to get confused, so I can't answer you now. Kedusha, the soul means a part of God above, meaning it’s a part of the upper light that we can receive in order to bestow. It clothes in the Partzuf internally as inner light. This is what we call a soul. That’s it, don’t imagine something that is beyond. In short, it’s not something that we can imagine.

31. S. (01:03:40) What does it mean to love the Creator even if He takes my soul away from me in spiritual work?

R. That I remain completely totally devoid of inner light that fulfills me. So I remain with complete restriction and darkness, and even then, in that state I want to be in adhesion with the Creator.

32. R. (01:05:27) Meaning in short that in every state that happens we have to stay in adhesion as much as we can between us and the Creator. If we do that in the ten then we will see that this is orchestrated in such a way from above it's like we're dancing in a circle. We're holding each other's hand and on the other hand we're jumping, everyone is jumping. Someone is jumping up someone is jumping down, but collectively we're doing our actions together. And so our individual ups and downs come together into the dance, to a single attitude towards the Creator. That's what we need to do, that's our inner dance, our inner connection between us.

33. R. (01:08:17) Meaning don't be afraid that opposite forces appear, separating forces, contradictions as he calls it here. R. I have to relate to all the friends in such a way that I don't pressure them. I don't want to determine anything, but first of all support. R. This is called being in the other, and on the other hand I feel that I'm filled by the other. All my thoughts are about you, all my desires are about you, it's written. S. So where is the mutuality?

R. By this I discover the Creator's relation to me. If I couldn't relate this way to all of the reality, I wouldn't be able to relate to all of their reality in this way if the Creator didn't give me the power to do it. Even before I approach reality in this way it is He who gave me this relation to reality.
