1. Rav’s Introduction: The matter of limitation is to limit the state one is in and not want Gadlut, greatness, meaning a person who is in a certain state whatever it is. He needs to reach a decision that he doesn't want anything more than what he has. What the Creator is giving him now he settles for it and he doesn't even feel like he is settling. It is rather completely sufficient and he is willing to remain in that for eternity. Look at the correction of the vessels that we undergo. R. Only through annulment.
S. Self annulment towards the friends?

23. S. (56:25) It says here in Katnut, there's a work of discovering joyfulness when you don't have it naturally, what is that work?
R. If you have no joy in the state that you're in, it is a sign you're not in spirituality but on the contrary you are turning to this world, to physicality. A sign of being in the right direction even if not in spirituality yet but in the right direction is that you are glad and happy you are doing everything that is that you're told to do, and not demanding anything in return for it, only one thing to have a thought about bringing contentment to the Creator wherever you are.

R. No, just because from the Creator we get the forces and the spiritual elevation, faith above reason but from the other side we get disturbances, so on top of disturbances as we advance to the Creator. It is called help made against him, it's opposite from the Creator as if holding us away from the Creator. R. It is written that envy, lust, and honor bring a person out from the world, out from our world into the upper world, envy, lust and honor. R. R. It is all clarified in the thought, when I begin to think from where I am receiving the awakening, the intellect, the feeling through the friends or directly from the Creator. R. In the state of Katnut smallness I don't demand anything of the Creator except for the forces that I want to hold in this state to be there and no more. It is not luxury, if in this state I am in Katnut smallness I need to strengthen myself, I can ask the Creator to give me such forces that in any state I will be adhered to Him, that is what I am asking for.

R. No that is impossible also in Gadlut adulthood we can't be, that means that we can work with the lights in order to bestow which means first, we need to establish ourselves in the state of restriction then in the states of Katnut smallness and then we come to the state of Gadlut greatness from where we can bestow to others.

R. I am not content with the Creator because my ego is not content with what it gets in its life however on the other hand if I suppose, annul my ego that I don't want to feel what it requires of me what it demands, I want to be adhered to the Creator, to what He gives and even though He gives me things that are unpleasant and unclear, however I accept it on myself as an embryo developing in the womb. He too is receiving a new life that he didn't have before and also, he seemingly does not want this new state however nature obligates him to agree and accept and to develop, that is in corporeality. In spirituality we need to be like an embryo, to connect between ourselves and to the Creator as much as we can in our thoughts and desires and to agree to all of the development. If we establish ourselves this way, go ahead, we are starting to develop until we start to feel the force that develops us, we start feeling the womb which is the spiritual world, the upper world when we start feeling we’re in it and this is how we start developing. Throughout nine months of pregnancy, nine spiritual months. A month is from the word Chidush, something new. There are nine Sefirot until you reach the tenth Sefirot and you are born. That’s the development, so this is what is before us, so you understand we can’t run away from this, let’s do this work and we’ll shift to the feeling of the spiritual world. You don't lose this world, you don’t lose your families or your profession, or your workplace, your health, your money, nothing. And believe me it's not difficult, all you need is to understand the principle of how to enter from the corporeal world and also to the spiritual world.
37. S. (01:19:29) We say that I don't need to request more for myself or for the friend?
R. We need to ask only for the force of limitation, that we want to limit ourselves and to be in the state we are happy with whatever we feel in our life that is first of all. It doesn't mean that I agree with anything that I am in my corporeal life, it has nothing to do with my corporeal life, all that it obligates me is respect to the group and the Creator, that I want to be connected to the group and the Creator, that my desire should be more towards that. R. It depends on the nature of a person's soul, that if a person comes even if he's sleeping but he always comes to the lesson, nonetheless this is the way he absorbs the material. R. Want, is when I want and demand is when I already turned to an external force of the group or the Creator and demand that they will help me and fill my desire.

R. R. Turn to your group and you will see as they will tell you such things that immediately the value of the group will be greater than all of your personal desires.

R. Then together you turn to the Creator, that's great, together you pray what could be better? Meaning the Creator organized for you a place to turn to Him.

R. That is something that I can't explain because we don't have any feeling that corresponds to that. It’s when Moses led them to the end of the understanding and the intellect where there is no degree less than that, that to such a degree they lost everything and they agree not to receive anything in the future as it is written, only 10 when they agreed to such a state, to walk in it without any wavering or emotion, or doubts, and remain in that state as if they had the Gadlut greatness and to be happy about it. Instead, the work of gladness is given to them for the time of Katnut smallness, so that they will have joy although they feel Katnut smallness. Even though they feel the Katnut smallness even as a point that they don't have anything else but this point is the point of connection with the Creator already. This is a lot of work, this is called the main part of the degree meaning this is the beginning of the spiritual degree. Each and every true spiritual degree starts from annulling ourselves completely and only in one point we belong to the upper one and we settle for that. We don't want anything besides that because all the rest of the degrees will be with more and more concession to the upper one because we grow differently, in minus we grow all the time above our desire, above our ego.
S. Is it possible to say that at the same point where the logic of this world ends and the logic of the upper world begins?
R. Yes, it is true and this is the main part of the degree which is discerned as Katnut smallness. This discernment must be permanent but Gadlut greatness which is only an addition also what should desire for the main part not for the additions.
44. S. (01:35:04) Sometimes it seems from one day to another I can feel like I have even less, that something has been taken away is this, that I try not to understand and stay in total gratitude?
R. Whatever we get in each moment and every day is forces to develop, forces of development that change our internal states. The more we participate and take part in our 10, the more we can enhance and accelerate our spiritual advancement even though in the meantime we don't feel any connection between the spiritual development and the connection in the group, that’s the way it is. R. I want to be aimed at the Creator building on to Him, adhered to Him even in the smallest manner like a baby or an embryo in the womb, the main thing is to be adhered to Him, attached to Him, that should be the main thing for me and I don't want anything else. This is the meaning of the main part, not the additions.

R. Write down what is happening in the lesson, like students that you need to write down and scrutinize them again. But whoever writes things down he already has to listen and even though he may make mistakes, it doesn't matter he is already adhered to the lesson, to the flow of the information. S. So that is demanding Gadlut greatness for the friend?
R. Sure, why not for myself I don't need to demand because I need to be in a state of adhesion, if I am in a demand, I am already not in adhesion. I am raising a deficiency. In everybody there is a gap between me and the Creator, if I am in adhesion with Him then our desires and states are seemingly equal and in such a state I can be like a drop in the womb. Then I am already in adhesion, in a point, already in it and then I can develop onwards. By what do I develop? By MAN, the drop begins to grow and grow in the womb. By this there comes all sorts of thoughts and desires that want to separate me from adhesion from the Creator and I nonetheless I’m drawn to it, I reach remaining in the Creator in adhesion with the Creator and we progress.
S. If I ask more for a friend does this bring me out of this point of adhesion?
R. A request for myself I cannot, that is a Klipa, as if the Creator doesn't give me enough or that I don't agree with what the Creator gives me. That is why I am requesting as I am not satisfied with him but if I'm asking for the others I can and so if I'm praying for the group that the Creator will awaken them then in this I am in bestowal towards the group. R.
