Revoking the Partitions - Selected excerpts from the sources. #5

1. Rav’s introduction (0:22) The main thing for us is to revoke the partitions, that we will cancel what is between us and the Creator. The Kabbalists tell us that in order to revoke the partitions between us and the Creator, we need to revoke them between us, and to the extent that we can truly revoke them between us, between the created beings, to that extent we also revoke the partitions between us and the Creator. This is basically the whole matter of revoking the partitions and this is what we're working on. This is basically it, revoking the partitions means reaching adhesion, partial adhesion, full adhesion between people, between people and the Creator. In this way we're basically coming closer to a state where we're completely revoking the partitions between us and then by revoking them instead of the partition we feel a connection with the Creator.

Meaning the partitions themselves, they exist in order to show us to what extent we are still not adhered to the Creator, but close to Him. And that we need to try to acquire this craftsmanship of how we revoke the partitions, how do we come closer to the Creator, how we feel him more, and in this way we reach the purpose of creation. The purpose of creation is by adhering to each other “as one and man with one heart.” Accordingly, each one out of his adhesion adheres to the Creator and the adhesion of all the created beings with the Creator, this is called Gmar Tikkun, the final correction. How do we do it? Since we are the greatest egoists, then together with us, we reach adhesion to all of nature, together with us in the form of the still, vegetative, animate and speaking, everyone, everyone. This is the purpose of creation, the purpose of our corrections and so let's start to come closer.

2. S. (03:32) What are these partitions? Since in a normal person he doesn't feel like he has any partitions between him and others. R. (08:07) Prior to being rewarded with inverting the desire to receive in us and in each one of us, through Torah and Mitzvot, meaning throughout all sorts of means that the Kabbalists are telling us what to do. And they become openings, the darkness becomes light, and the bitter becomes sweet. Since overall the locks we received a special degree in this providence, meaning specifically out of all sorts of forces of rejection being there, instead of that we feel the opposite, that they attract us toward the Creator, receive us, embraces us, and these degrees become those of attainment of the Creator and these degrees that we receive an opening become halls of wisdom. Meaning that each and every degree becomes a source for a lot of light of Hochma, of wisdom.

3. S. (11:41) What is the key in us which opens up these locks?

R. Connection with the friends and the aspiration to the connection with the Creator, this is our key.

4. S. (12:30) How do we learn to cancel these partitions between us? How do we come closer to that?

R. It's possible if you want to revoke the partitions between you, that's it then you ask. Ask the Creator about this, but you need to think about this all the time.

S. Bitter and sweet has one root? How do they invert?

R. It's the same force which can be either in the negative way or in the positive way depending on how we desire to reveal it.

5. S. (13:27) Is there a reason why the locks appear to a person at a specific time?

R. It could be that, yes, but we don't know why in the meantime.

S. If the feeling of the locks, it's really an extended time and after turning to the ten, and the prayers, and everything, what else can a person do to break that lock?

R. We need to understand that it's because we are still, we still have not reached the right desire to connect between us and the Creator.

6. S. (14:14) What are these special degrees which become entrances, in attainment?

R. This is our ego which constantly raises in us, in our ego raises above others and we need to look for connection with others.

7. S. (14:49) In the ten there's a lot of friends that feel these gates. In the extended suffering we came to a conclusion that our ten needs to do something together to open up this pipe of light for tens that are in question. One certain friend feels suffering in the ten, is that their personal work that they're not doing or something the whole ten needs to do?

R. It's both, the personal and the collective, both this and that, but we need to understand that without us revoking all the partitions we won't reach the feeling of the Creator or the revelation of the Creator.

8. S. (15:43) These partitions that we talked about, there's something that we don't need to remove but we just need to fix. Question: why if we see these locks, why is it easier for us to hide in our ego than to break through. Is it correct to break through? The shame seems to stop us, and you're not worthy of moving forward, and there's something unclear here. Do we, nonetheless, need to break these locks and enter or to ask only for correction?

R. We need to ask for correction incessantly, not stopping for a moment, all the time to think about this and all the different variations and then it will quickly happen.

9. S. (16:55) Does every individual, before realizing it, must we imagine how we imagine something industrial that over counts all these distances?

R. As much as we're capable, nonetheless, there needs to be some emotional, intellectual picture, both emotional and intellectual in each and every one of us of how we use the partitions.

10. S. (18:01) What is that instrument in which inverts the will to receive to the will to bestow?

R. The light, the upper light.

R. 17. S. (28:51) If there are locks means that the Creator is freeing us and this lock necessarily needs to be there. What do we do to feel that this is something that guards us and not something that disturbs us.

R. Yes.

S. These are the qualities of the friends in which we need to reveal and to attach to us?

R. Yes.

R. Yes.

20. S. (31:11) This covenant with the friends and the covenant with the Creator, is this the same action or the same degrees?

21. S. (31:53) We learned that the making of the covenant between two people it's in one person giving presents to another. We see it in the Torah that they're all kinds of covenants. When I make a covenant with the Creator what do we feel, how do we feel the Creator is obligated toward us? I feel like I'm obligated toward Him, to love Him, to adhere to him. What do I feel that He is giving me when I'm in a covenant with Him?

R. You ask just for the forces to cover you, to help you, to be in adhesion with the Creator, more than that you don't ask for.

S. I's a one-way type of engagement?

R. No, no it's not a one way, but rather if you ask for more it will be in order to receive. Think about that, there are no precise words here, but you already understand.

22. S. (32:05) I don't understand what covenant we can hold onto when the desire to receive increases, so what covenant will hold us when it grows?

R. This, too, I need to ask for from the Creator, for Him to guard the covenant.

S. What does it mean to guard the covenant, the will to receive grows, right?

R. The Creator will guard it, so I will nonetheless, remain in the making of the covenant.

S. So when the desire grows and we feel ourselves separated from each other, where is the covenant?

R. The moment that I feel that there can be between us some kind of rift, then I open a prayer to the Creator and He gives me strength to block up this rift.

S. So the rift is expressed in the force of the prayer?

R. Yes, it's the force of adhesion that I get from Above.

23. S. (34:19) It's written here, that as much as a person starts to work and if he already has the love for the Creator, otherwise, who will be that reason that he receives that burden of the Kingdom of Heaven? We learn that the ego can push us towards accepting the burden of the Kingdom of Heaven.

R. No, it's not the same ego to accept to take upon himself the burden of the Kingdom of Heaven, meaning to accept the Creator's Providence in everything and everything. To accept it upon ourselves, it means to aspire only towards bestowal and not to have a single question about oneself.

R. 33. S. (45:48) Concerning the question from the previous friend, the text says twice that separation which are partitions. What does it mean that there's a partition from here, is it between the created beings and the Creator? How do we overcome it?

R. If it's a partition between the created being and the Creator we can do it only through the friends. We can overcome it only through the friends. It's the network through which I need to connect to the Creator, it's in the connection between the friends.

34. S. (46:58) I feel inner locks but also there's collective ones in the ten. Does each one feel his personal locks before he feels the general ones of the ten?

R. Correct that's how it is.

S. How can we overcome the locks, these general ones, from the moment we start to recognize them?

R. It's just by us all together praying to the Creator. Together we turn to the Creator and to ask of Him to revoke the partitions.

35. S. (48:40) Can I already say that I am experiencing the covenant to some degree, it’s felt as an eternal desire to an unyielding want to achieve this, to press on, in advance, am I feeling the covenant in this way?

R. Not yet but it's the beginning.

36. S. (49:22) We learned that the key to open the locks is the connection between us and the ten and in the meantime we're not succeeding and canceling the partitions in the ten. How does the experience, the attempt on a daily basis allow the Creator to open up those locks?

R. It's all in all, through the connection between us, there's nothing special here; as much as we connect by that we open up the locks.

S. Is it in order to reach an outcry, is that the path, because we're not succeeding?

R. Yeah okay, so try more and more and more and more until you will reach an outcry.

37. S. (50:26) It is written that if we place a lock on the Creator's will this is a lock, who's the first one to enter a key into this lock?

R. We need to always be first.

R. Love is an understanding, something that exists from zero up until infinity, so I cannot quite express it with words, but we need to understand that the connection between the complete open heart, it brings us to love.
