Part 1 Rabash. Record 940. The Point in the Heart

Hello, dear friends, we are reading the writings of Rabash, Part 3, Article 940, called The Point in the Heart. You can find the materials on Sviva Tova or in the system Arvut. You can ask questions on these websites and all the friends who are here in the study hall. Stand up, and keep the microphone close to their mouth, articulate the question, clearly. We are in the preparation toward our Congress.

Reading Article: (00:47) The Point in the Heart

When the Temple was ruined, it is written, “And let them make Me a Temple and I will dwell within them.” This pertains to the point in the heart, which should be a Temple where the light of the Creator dwells, as it is written, “And I will dwell within them.” Hence, one should try to build his structure of Kedusha [holiness], and the structure should be qualified, so that the upper abundance will enter it, called “abundance bestowed from the Giver to the receiver.” However, according to the rule, there must be equivalence of form between the Giver and the receiver so the receiver, too, must have the aim to bestow like the Giver.

This is called “action,” as it is written, “Let them make Me a Temple,” where the acting applies to the Kli [vessel] and not the light, since the light pertains to the Creator and only the action pertains to the created beings.

The light is called “a blessing from the Creator,” as it is written, “And I will bless you in all that you do.” This is the meaning of “We will do and we will hear, for through our work we will be rewarded with hearing, as it is written, “And all the people were seeing the voices,” meaning they heard the voice of the Creator.

Seeing means with the senses, which is a feeling in the heart, where each one, by Mount Sinai, felt that the voice of the Creator spoke to him and they had no doubt about the matter. This is called “seeing.” Similarly, when a person sees something, he has no doubt about it, unlike when he hears, for perhaps he did not hear very well. Therefore, we do not rely on hearsay but only on eye witnessing.

For this reason, at the time of the giving of the Torah, when they had no doubt that this was the voice of the Creator, it is called “seeing,” as it is written, “I and you shall have no [other Gods], we heard from the mouth of the Creator” (Makkot 24a).

M. Laitman Re-Reads Article: (04:42) The Point in the Heart

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (07:57) So, basically, we shall do and we shall hear; or, we shall do and we shall see.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, it is said that it is called, we shall do and we shall hear, and you'll be blessed by the Creator in everything that you'll be doing.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And I will bless you in all that you do. how does it switch towards, and we shall do and we shall see; what is being added, here?

M. Laitman: This depends on the people, so there is a part from the Creator, what He sends us, what He wants to give us, and it depends on us, on what degree we receive this – this is hearing or seeing. So, we have to raise ourselves to the level of seeing because seeing is such a perception about which there are no questions, there's no doubt.

That's why when we choose witnesses for something, it's because the witnesses saw something, and they are asked what did they see, where were they, and in what way did they see it, but hearing is not enough.

Student: And our level, the person who is advancing?

M. Laitman: We have to rise to the level of seeing.

Student: And hearing is also a higher degree.

M. Laitman: It's a high level but it's not enough. In order to enter contact with the Creator, we have to rise to the level of seeing.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (10:04) What does it mean to create the Kli, the vessel, of the Ten?

M. Laitman: Creating a vessel of the Ten means ten men gather together, unite together, to have one desire they want to realize. And this desire, when they realize it fully and are in it, it's called a Ten.

Student: How does a Ten realize this Reshimo, correctly, and with the help of what?

M. Laitman: They connect between them and they fulfill the requirement of unity, they begin mutually to feel each other. And from them, they feel the Creator, this is what exists.

Student: We have daily meetings of our Ten, how do we, by the end of the Ten, how do we build some kind of a summary of our unity. Come to some conclusions to implement and for the Kli to cement itself?

M. Laitman: Maybe it's possible to meet every day and talk but it's enough given twice or three times a week. When you talk between you, when you discuss what new impressions you have from unity, what else you can reveal in unity and how to ascend in unity, higher and higher, closer to the Creator.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (12:26) We at the Congress are building a temple in which the light of the Creator will dwell.

M. Laitman: Yes, that's how, that's what we desire, this is why we've gathered here, to create such a desire between us, in which there won't be a transition from one to another. But everything will be as one, united and in this united desire, there the Creator will be revealed. That's it, this is what we need.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (13:19) Every Ten has their own chain of Reshimot. In each Ten is there a goal?

M. Laitman: A chain, the chain of Reshimot is in each Ten, yes.

Student: And they all have their own, it exists, it's predisposed.

M. Laitman: They have to reveal it through closeness between the friends, when they help each other. When they unite more and more between them, they talk between them, spiritually. They have this feeling of each other, of unity, that brings them to such a feeling when together, they begin to feel the Creator.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (14:35) What I see belongs to my own vessel, and since I don't see the whole picture, how can I fully trust what I see?

M. Laitman: This is only in the beginning, in the beginning you have to try and unite more and more between you. But generally, after that, you'll have such an inner feeling of unity that will carry you, by itself, that will guide you. And you won't need effort to get closer to each other but in general, by getting close to each other, you will be able to, to the extent of your closeness, be able to get closer to the Creator and begin to attain Him.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (16:06) When we read the articles of Rabash and Baal HaSulam, do they build a lack in us? We want to achieve what they describe.

M. Laitman: Yes, we want to get into the inner meaning of the article and then the answer to this question.

Student: So, as we proceed to the reading, we read it daily, we basically have two goals: First of all, I have to connect with the friends and then I have to get accustomed to the method that is being laid out in the article. And we have to build a common desire to attain it in the Ten.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:28) I understood from the article that the Creator wants something from the created beings.

M. Laitman: Of course, the Creator wants something from the creation. The Creator wants the creations to get closer to Him and to attain Him.

Student: It is written in the article that all the actions are actions of the Creator. We have friends who don't come to the morning lesson, don't come to our daily meetings. Why is no one, here? And the friend's reply is, the Creator does not give us the ability to sleep, it's from above – There's None Else Besides Him. So, what do we do in this case?

M. Laitman: This is a problem, you just have to talk to them, that all in all, they have to come and unite with you. And then you'll begin to feel that you are advancing from time to time. In every lesson, every discussion, you reveal something new until the Creator is revealed before you. You begin to attain Him.

Question (Women Turkiye 6): (20:12) Is hearing what a trusted friend says also a testimony equivalent to seeing?

M. Laitman: This depends on our effort, I always hear or see but how can I raise my perception from the level of hearing to seeing, that depends on me. “And the whole nation saw the voices”, when the voice of the Creator spoke to them on Mount Sinai, they “saw”, they were on this level.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (21:33) Each of us who studies in Bnei Baruch, in one way or another, heard the Creator, so to speak. Or maybe we have this small point of awakening but we never received a single feedback.

M. Laitman: No, we are ready to hear; if you connect between you, you will have this quality of hearing.

Student: So, in an individual manner, nobody hears is the Creator in the Ten, only together?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (22:56) “This is why we do not rely on heresy, but only on eyewitnesses,” means that eyewitnesses is above reason?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's it.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (23:38) The temple where the Creator dwells when there is Ten and no less.” Is it in complete wholeness?

M. Laitman: This is a full Kli. I don't want to say perfection, but this is a full Kli.

Student: We studied it in the morning, and here Rabash is writing that the temple is a point in the heart. So, here we have to perform certain actions in order to become this temple in the heart?

M. Laitman: If you unite between you and you ask the Creator to unite you in one whole; He performs this action on you and you begin to feel spiritual forces.

Student: It’s just that I want to connect the first state that we were studying in the morning. When it's the full measure of adhesion to the Creator, these ten Sefirot that you were speaking about?

M. Laitman: These we have to achieve this in the process of our unity and correction.

Student: This article also says that there are certain actions to execute this.

M. Laitman: Yes, of course, everything we do, the study and other actions, is only to achieve full unity. Because in the quality and quantity of our unity, we grow the spiritual world, in this.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (25:56) Where in the Ten do we hear the Creator, inside of ourselves, or through the friends?

M. Laitman: This and the other way.

Student: So, how do we not replace a term, something that seems to us and to truly fine-tune ourselves towards hearing the Creator?

M. Laitman: In order to hear the Creator you have to be united in the Ten, in one complete desire. And in this case, you feel that there is someone above that cares for you and guides you. Adjusts you, gathers you, and through several such actions between you and the Creator, you'll begin to feel how He gathers you. And He encloses you in some kind of case, some kind of shell, and from then on, you begin to comprise a spiritual Kli.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (27:50) In the article, it is written, from the mouth of the Creator, Itself, from the Gevura, we heard about it. What does Gevura mean here?

M. Laitman: Gevura is the force of the Creator with which He influences us so that we subjugate ourselves, so to speak. And obey His force and submit to His force, and receive from Him the strength, the force, with which we can bestow.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (29:50) It is written that we feel through the heart, when we realize the desire we place a screen on our thoughts. Can we call it an action?

M. Laitman: Yes, we can.

Student: There is a feeling that by this we build the general desire?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes.

Question (Women Kavkaz 1): (31:12) Before the Congress, we set ourselves the goal to become as close as possible. And then we reformulated this goal, not just to get mingled between us, but to find this point of unity so that it would pull us forward. If we do everything possible before the Congress and at the Congress, will there be a different goal? Or how do we prepare ourselves, correctly?

M. Laitman: We're still starting, these are the first steps of how to connect with each other. It's the biggest issue in the spiritual world – when the opposites, people within themselves, have to meet and unite so that inside of them the upper light of the Creator would be able to reveal itself, manifest itself. Why do we need it? We're opposite to each other, we're egoists from the beginning, it's the way we are created. Thus, if we try to connect, we only succeed through our resistance towards our ego.

Therefore, our whole work on ourselves, in ourselves, is only in overcoming our ego. When I put my unity with the others above everything else, the main thing for me is to unite. This is our only issue, our only problem. In the wisdom of Kabbalah, it explains to us the organization of nature, the ten Sefirot, the Partzufim, the world, laws of unity, laws of commutation. But all of this is just merely superficial explanations, when we try and handle those forces, then we start revealing a mutual resistance, and ego starts to awaken and just does whatever it pleases with us. We cannot anymore just calmly read those things about unity, about coming closer, etc. This is the main thing in our world, on our degree; therefore, we have to, between ourselves, try to unite, to read, to connect. In such a way so that we would be left with certain good impressions from each other and in this way come closer to each other. This is what we have to do, that's what's in front of us.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (35:53) This method of unity in the Tens?

M. Laitman: Well, it's not unity yet, but.

Student: We want, we try, we all the time about how to feel that there is a boundary and to reveal the heart so that the Creator responds. We try, we climb like little children, we raise a foot there and, how do we feel that He's ready to respond to us, how to trust Him, how to open the heart?

M. Laitman: You just open your heart, open your heart towards the friends – you have nine friends, let's say, and you're the tenth. And then if you truly connect with them, unite with them, in your heart that is opening, the Creator will enter, and you will feel Him. You will feel the light.

Student: Each friend feels she did everything she can.

M. Laitman: You will start rising on the steps of the spiritual ladder, and along with what you’re reading in the books, you will start to get accustomed and start attaining it.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (38:00) Recently, when you started preparing us for the Congress, I felt more and more a feeling of preparedness and importance, more and more. And I tried to awaken this in the Ten, we truly feel how each friend is making efforts, but it's hard for us to perform this unity. I have a huge feeling of gratitude to the Creator, and you gradually prepared us that each one has to perform work inside of her. And I feel the Creator loves me because of what He sends me and shows me correction. How can I be in gratitude to the Creator?

M. Laitman: Be similar to Him, simple; you don't need more than that.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (39:14) This seeing, when we have to see, I always have a feeling that it doesn't happen through eyes, it's like glasses on your heart. And each time with the eyes, it feels like lies, but through the heart, it clarifies that it's a different kind of seeing, it's the truth.

M. Laitman: Okay, let it be so.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (39:47) When I'm asking a question from behind the screen, I feel this power and strength and the big Hissaron. And I knew I would come to the Congress, I wanted to perform this research, this inspection: When I would ask Rav a question, would I have this question of power and force? It's kind of there, but when the students are next to you physically and behind the screen. So, now I felt this feeling that we are under you, under your screen, and it's as if this Hissaron, this deficiency, maybe isn't extinguished, but it's not as clear as when I'm behind the screen. So, this experiment is successful. How not to extinguish this Hissaron, but add it so the world can advance to the next degree?

M. Laitman: Try not to forget it, be always inside it, inside of yourself.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (41:10) When we talk about unity, what is it? Is this a process or is this an achievable result?

M. Laitman: Unity? Unity in the Tens, and maybe in the hundreds and thousands, depends on what scale we measure. What scale we're using and what scale satisfies us. Unity is the only spiritual action, if you will.

Student: Can it be attained, will there ever be a result or is this an endless process?

M. Laitman: No, it's a process of walking, rising up the spiritual ladder, when we feel constant rising, constant revelation, at each degree, of our connection with the Creator.

Student: Now we have a goal, a task before the Congress, and in general that task needs to reach a minimal level of unity?

M. Laitman: It depends on you.

Student: And this resistance you spoke about, we unite, then something new is revealed, something we have to overcome, in mutual concessions, in love, in actions. When will this happen, what do we have to go through, what do we have to feel? How many hearts do we have to reveal to achieve a minimal result?

M. Laitman: You can reveal them today, already; no one is limited in any way. You can ascend as much as you want, the quality of bestowal, love, connection. Please?

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (44:00) What is the magnetic field for a kabbalist that helps the point in the heart to exist and the ego?

M. Laitman: Our heart is an organ that attracts everything that it likes; and it reflects and deflects everything that it doesn't like, pushes it away. We should, in front of our heart, place a screen and to enter, to contact, not something that we like. But what can kill our ego and connect us with the Creator. So, we have to, through our heart, connect with the friends and therefore we will become closer with it.

Student: How does the point in the heart turn into a screen?

M. Laitman: Under the influence of the upper light.

Student: So, by uniting in the Ten, in the meetings, if we turn to the Creator we will attract the light that reforms and it will correct us?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (46:00) You said to another student that we have to achieve the feeling of unity and it will guide us forward. If I feel a friend's good attitude to me, and I treat him the same way, treat him well, how do we seek more connection, stronger connection?

M. Laitman: How do we keep looking for a stronger connection? Through interaction between yourselves.

Student: Yes, we interact and I feel the good. Is there a limit?

M. Laitman: No, there's no limit, it's 625 degrees of elevation towards the level of the Creator! So, do not rush.

Student: Can I clarify? We meet with the friends, we talk, we interact and we finish the meeting in a good way. But I don't feel I went deeper, is this okay?

M. Laitman: It's still okay. You still have to learn it, you have to study.

Student: So, when time passes, and I get a burdening of the heart, I fall.

M. Laitman: This is the way we elevate from degree to degree.

Student: How do I not get the burdening of the heart?

M. Laitman: You don't need burdening of the heart. As you perform these actions that Rabash is describing, you will feel the extent to which you will have to overcome yourself.

Student: But these actions?

M. Laitman: These actions are in your desire, in your striving to reveal the Creator and be connected with Him, that's it. And then suddenly now, you still don't have any connection with the light and with the Kli, with the vessel, with the true desire. Eventually, you will get the feeling of what is light and what is Kli, the desire. And you will, with their help, move forward.

Student: We can ask about this, for this feeling of connection?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, of course, everything is permitted; ask, absolutely, whatever you please.

Student: And this way I speed up this process?

M. Laitman: Well, at least it will be something actionable, something realistic. Everyone who is here can ask and demand, and already will be attaining their degrees.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (49:46) What is the difference between looking through the ego and through the Creator's eyes?

M. Laitman: Through the eyes of the Creator, you don't know but through the eyes of your ego you do know. So, you watch, you look at Him, still, with your eyes.

Student: If I see through the eyes of the friend, I see through the Creator's qualities?

M. Laitman: Yes?

Student: There are two friends, I'm quiet, I don't speak, and the one that's bigger, one enters the other's heart?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's correct.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (51:00) You said to another student that we don't know what light is, what clear is. He is asking, what can we do?

M. Laitman: We are like children, the newborns that still cannot see, cannot hear, and just exist like this, like a newborn, like a baby. And then it will reveal itself to us, it reveals to us – our eyes become open and our ears and all the organs, vision and hearing and touch. Then we start advancing, being more on our own, more independent, where we ourselves lead towards the way that all our senses become open: sight, hearing, taste, smell, etc. and this is how we advance.

Student: Can we say that we will perform actions, and thanks to the Creator, we will overcome our evil inclination?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course, the Creator controls our whole development.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (53:05) I don't want to continue being in the egotistical approach. I only want to see the friends' happy faces and pray for them so they come to the Creator. Will this approach break up my left line? This approach, not to criticize the friends but only see their greatness, will this cancel my left line?

M. Laitman: No, I don't want to criticize my friends. I only want to be ready to do for them whatever they need to achieve spiritual contact with the Creator, do it for them.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (54:09) What is this force that we have to receive that will make us bestowing?

M. Laitman: It's an anti-egoistical force, the force of the Creator, He is absolutely 100% anti-egoistical. And if we receive a little bit from this force of His, we will also become, to a certain extent, anti-egoistical. Then we'll be able to, to that extent, feel the upper world, the Creator, whatever, everything. Whatever you want, whatever you can think about, eternity, perfection, absolute, whatever is impossible to attain inside of the ego.

Student: You said that Gevura prepares us to receive this force, and at some point, we receive it and we begin to feel it?

M. Laitman: Yes, gradually, little by little, daily, you advance but you just don't feel it yet. It's like a child, newborn, small, tiny one. It grows but it doesn't know that it grows, and then, all of a sudden, it starts to realize more and more and more, etc.

Student: How do we receive it now?

M. Laitman: Now?

Student: At the Congress, we really want to come out into these feelings.

M. Laitman: Yes, I understand you but it's not easy. You have to be so loyal to your friends that the main connection is between your friends, and through them, the connection with the Creator, is going to be the focal point of your life. The main thing, you have to take care of their success, you'll have to open your heart and make it a little softer, squeeze it a little bit.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (57:27) Can I clarify: You said that those that are here can demand and ask and attain degrees. What is the correct request and how do we not get dispersed?

M. Laitman: It is written in all our books, the main thing is the quality of bestowal, love, that is being manifested through the fact that I feel the others more than myself. So, gradual, gradual, overcoming of ego.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (58:23) For me, the lesson is always pleasure,

as long as I remember myself over ten years. I don't know how to come out of this pleasure in some way? Or can I just enjoy the lesson and be in a good intention?

M. Laitman: Enjoy.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (58:54) If in the Ten someone doesn't manage to submit to the Creator, how does this affect the Ten?

M. Laitman: In an absolute manner, if in the Ten somebody is lagging behind from all the others, the whole Ten is to help him so that he is together with everyone. S, alone you are not able to advance towards the Creator, towards the goal of creation, no how, there is no way. The main thing is, I want spirituality, please, but only based on the foundation, when you will be bestowing everything upon the others.

Student: If most of the Ten is pulling, working, and there are those that don't get such a strong desire, the ability to invest in the same way. How do we have this balance? Do we have to care more for those friends that can't enter this unity in the same way?

M. Laitman: To continue, go on and you will gradually reveal this whole system in which you exist and you will see the best way to act. You will learn it yourself, it's all inside of us, we will feel everything.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (1:00:58) The whole unity is in the Ten, we hold workshops, we talk to each other, what can we pass on to each other?

M. Laitman: Desire.

Student: How do we pass this on?

M. Laitman: Impress the others with it.

Student: Is there any recipe?

M. Laitman: No, just show the others how you strive towards it, nothing else. The wisdom of Kabbalah itself is not complicated. It's hard to realize it but to understand, to grasp the main principles, is pretty simple.

Student: But it's not in words.

M. Laitman: It's in the feelings.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (1:02:32) You said to squeeze the heart and open it up. We haven't seen any examples of how the Kabbalists did it, they most likely did it behind closed doors. We try, we hug, we have common meals, we read.

M. Laitman: Well, generally speaking, this action that you're mentioning right now, and apart from this is the plea, the prayer to the Creator. When you ask the Creator for Him to give you the possibility to come closer to Him, to start feeling Him. Then you will understand more who you have to become.

Student: Do you see our level?

M. Laitman: First and foremost, you have not a bad starting level.

Student: We have good conditions so we have to interact. The prayer disappears, you remember and it disappears. I was listening to you, I was listening to your answers.

M. Laitman: It will come gradually, it will come.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (1:04:33) I actually have lots of questions, I just don't want to take up a lot of time.

M. Laitman: It's okay because you're acting, you truly are acting. It's not that you just came here the first day. You're almost daily connected with us, etc., etc. We’ve known you for years.

Student: Internally this demand is growing in me, it wants to be realized in me every time.

M. Laitman: This depends on you, it depends on you, it does not depend on me. Books are all there, and so many materials online.

Student: I completely agree, how can I improve this intensity?

M. Laitman: Just take the materials and divide them into certain parts; and just swallow them and chew them. And realize them, turn them to life.

Student: In the state that comes to you?

M. Laitman: And they will come, from good to bad. You will have to combine them, gather them, and maybe write them down. And proceed, move forward like this.

Student: We were studying in the morning lessons about the right line and the left line, that the right one is the amplification of the bestowal, and the left one, we have to thin it the most.

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, please?

Student: I try to apply this principle, I think about this.

M. Laitman: I don't think that you need this principle, right now, you don't need it, yet. You need to simply go in accordance with what we were talking about right now, that we're acting. The Congress will pass, after the congress, you'll start implementing it, gradually, on yourselves, more and more and more, actualizing it. This is how it will be.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (1:07:32) I'm not perfect myself, and I'm not an auditory person, and I need to make a huge effort to hear a question from a friend and your answer. I have this inner work, not in my questions, but being in this field. And it's not important what the question is, I try to hear your answer. And it doesn't matter what the question is, what the friend asks. But the main thing is for us to be in this common field, and this field is where the connection is generated.

Is it correct, maybe, to disconnect from these questions, and it doesn't add, how to work with this? Should I hear this question, should I hear your answer? What's important to me is to hear, in the question of the friends – your words, the Rabash’s words, and Baal HaSulam’s – but there's an inner connection. When I don't hear that it's connected to our teachers, it gets cut off, and it gets closed internally, and all I have is my inner work. Is this correct?

M. Laitman: I understand, yes, I think that it is correct. You have a correct internal feeling, just continue to develop in accordance with it.

Question (Women Petah Tikva Center): (1:10:08) I decided to ask a question because the situation in our group has worsened. In the Ten, we are very friendly but there are situations, for the second year in a row, there is such rejection, that we can't work with it. We make efforts but it only becomes worse, so, this Congress is like a lifesaver.

M. Laitman: I don't know what to advise you. You simply need a certain leader, on the spot and you would follow what he says for you to do, you would execute.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (1:11:17) How to just put up my hand and try not to be clever and just ask. Sometimes I cannot force myself to do that.

M. Laitman: You have to raise your hand, show some sign of a question, and ask. The one who's shy does not study; if you're going to be shy, you're not going to study. It's not that you have to be a blunt person, a brute, but also don't be shy. You have to scrutinize it and ask it, and this is how it works.

Moderator: Yes, tomorrow at the afternoon lesson we'll be sitting here together and in the morning.
