Hanukkah - Selected Excerpts from the Sources

1. Rav’s Introduction: Hanukkah is the first festive time we celebrate in our spiritual development because the Torah speaks entirely of man’s spiritual development and it barely speaks about Hanukkah since it's not within the attainment of the upper light and it's only the preparation, only the corrections. So what is Hanukkah? It's a development of man, of people, humans who wish to develop themselves to the degree of Bina, the first degree, bestowal in order to bestow to come to the quality of bestowal. We are trying to attain, in the connection between us, in the group above our ego, above our will to receive, above the rejection, all of the problems, disturbances that we find exist between us but we nevertheless come to connection the way we wanted to. The first degree we need to reach is the degree of Bina and that's why it's called Hanukkah, parking stop over, meaning when we come to it, acquire the force of bestowal we understand it's only a means to begin attaining the Creator after that degree. Not according to the desire to bestow, but according to the action of bestowal, meaning not according to the intention to bestow but to actually realize that intention in practice with our desire.

When we begin to work with the intention to bestow, with our desire and our desire is to receive, from that we come to the degree of receive in order to bestow where we practice to  receive the lights, the upper light in order to bestow and by that we become equal to the Creator, we bestow to Him and pass to Him and we begin to reveal ourselves in this dialogue, this mutual relationship with this upper Force “I am to my Beloved and my Beloved is to me”. This is after Hanukkah. Until we come to practical corrections in our desires that are gradually corrected to receive in order to bestow but for the time being, we need to come to such an intention of all of our desires to bestow in order to bestow. This is Hanukkah, this is the stop over along the way and to the correction of creation for the time being. Hanukkah tells us that we pass from darkness, when we don't see the spiritual world, which is reality and we only live within our egoistic desires. So, life within our egoistic desires is called darkness. When we begin to correct these desires in bestowal, it says that we pass to the light, light of bestowal.

That is why Hanukkah is called the holiday, the festivities of light. It is also called Hanukkah because by that we begin to open up our soul to the right usage. We shine the light of Hassadim within the soul inside its will to receive. Man's will to receive and then to the extent that the will to receive acquires the correction of the force of bestowal, the light of Hassadim, we can begin to use it later after Hanukkah to receive in order to bestow. Already filling the soul with the upper light with NRNHY. This way we begin to resemble the Creator be in adhesion with Him, the Creator the upper light fills us. The transition from darkness from the will to receive to the light to the will to bestow, this is what is happening to us during Hanukkah. That is why it is a holiday, a festive day, a day of light, a very special festive day. We will talk about it today because tonight according to what we learn, we have the holiday, the festivity of light. We are starting the seven days of Hanukkah, we will learn why it is 7 days, we will talk about it, it is not a problem. What is happening in our world we want to talk about the spiritual world and when we speak about the corporeal world those are just signs why we need in this world to do all those actions as signs of inner correction, spiritual correction we perform in our soul. So, if that is the case let’s go we have a collection of excerpts. Mostly from Rabash also Baal HaSulam and we will read and if you have any questions please ask because tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, we have a Congress and we will talk about Hanukkah and afterwards we are going to come back to it next week. We are going to go to Hanukkah because it is not finished, it lasts seven days.

Excerpt #1. Rabash. Concerning the Hanukkah Candle. Reader (08:02 - 08:32).

2. R. What is Rabash saying. Hanukkah is the work of the correction of creation. The correction of creation of the will to receive, in which all us are all kinds of desires all are in order to receive and the result of the shattering of Adam HaRishon. The Creator created a corrected vessel then intentionally shattered it, corrupted it. So, this vessel, divided into parts, like breaking a bowl or a plate and we need to pick up the pieces and we can do it on the condition that each and every part wants to connect with the other parts. Since we are talking about desires. Desires to bestow and desires to receive. Only thanks to the fact that the Creator shattered the vessel we have many desires and all of these desires, each one of them received an intention in order to receive, meaning he is naturally rejected from other desires and wants only to receive, only to feel himself and does not understand that the correct action is to connect with others. That is how he exists, each and every part of that broken vessel.

Our work is when we, nevertheless, wake up to connect those in whom the egoistic desire awakens and inside of it awakens a tendency for connection so we can ask, why do they exist. The connection between us, that is the purpose of our creation. That is how we advance and we gradually come to the fact that on top of the natural rejection that exists in each one of us which is the result of the shattering we overcome it and nevertheless connect. So as a result of the shattering we acquire the resistance, this collision, separation, rejection and on top of that we need to come close and connect between us more and more. This way we correct ourselves. So first we have to acquire the light of the correction of creation, this is called the light of Hassadim, that allows us to want to connect with the other and afterwards as we get upliftment in the will to receive it is called faith, the light of Hassadim, to the extent to which we can rise above our ego and this way we come to the light of the purpose of creation, the light of Hochma. We have the light of Hochma that clothes in the light of Hassadim. In other words, to the extent in which we have the intention to bestow we can use this intention to connect us, connect with the others and in this connection, receive the light of Hochma, the light of the purpose of creation.

3. S. (12:57) He writes here that the prayer is the correction of Creation in order to later come to the purpose of creation so we should constantly keep this general picture in the work or is the focus only on the first degree.

R. The end of the act is in the initial thought. We need to see all of creation as much as possible together and later zoom in and see, where is my work right now. But I have to see in this picture what's desirable from the beginning. That's why we talk about creation, the process where we are and the result in the Kli of Adam HaRishon and so on and so forth. This is very helpful. If a person holds to the general vessel and then comes to his correction, he knows the parts he is going through. And that's how he advances. So, what is he telling us. Hanukkah is the work of the correction of creation, we need to obtain the vessels of bestowal, corrected. We want to bestow back to the host as we learn about the guest and the host in order to attain the vessels of bestowal with which we can then achieve the purpose of creation. Which is already to receive in order to bestow, and we can call this spirituality. Because we do not want to do anything for ourselves. For ourselves is corporeality. Only for the Creator. In the direction of the host.

4. S. (15:28) If the light of Hochma is the reason for the existence of all of reality, what is the role of the light of Hassadim, light of mercy?

R. The light of Hassadim is the correction of creation. What does it mean, correction? The intention in order to bestow. It's still not the action, only the intention where I intend to bestow. According to the size of the intention, how much of it I acquired how much it can dwell upon my desires to receive and even in those desires to receive I can use in order to bestow, this is called the bestowal already. Accordingly, I look to resemble the Creator, because the Creator is simply the force of bestowal and I, although I'm the will to receive, I’m opposite the Creator, I acquire the intention to bestow. My work, our work, is to turn vessels of reception to receive in order to bestow. The intention corrects the action and that's how we come to identify with the Creator.

Excerpt #2. Rabash. Concerning the Hanukkah Candle. Reader (17:17 - 18:32) Read twice.

5. R. Meaning the attainment of the light of Hassadim in the beginning when we have to reach, which is faith above reason. The extent to which we rise from the degree of Malchut to Bina, of course it's not the triumph over our will to receive, but when we rise above these desires with the intention to want to be only bestowers, this is our work for the time being. This is a parking. That's why Hanukkah is called Hanu Koh, parked here. We come to a state where we stop, we stop ourselves on the way we wait until we gather all the vessels until they're all connected between them in the desire to bestow alone. Where each and every part will feel connected to the other parts with the intention to bestow and later we come to the rest of the correction, so Hanukkah is only a part of the correction of our soul, in the intention to bestow. To bestow in order to bestow. Hanukkah is parking, meaning we are not speaking about the end of correction, the end of the war, but only about acquiring the intentions to bestow and then after that, the intentions to bestow will be in the correct the desires and receive in order to bestow.

6. S. (20:47) I didn't understand what it means to stop, to stop what?

R. It means that we acquire only the intentions to bestow we still don't work with the vessels of reception properly. When I'm with the friends, I want to come to a state where I only have the intention to bestow towards them that's it. I know that I cannot bestow to them, just yet I lack the force, but I should have that intention for now that’s what I want. Later when I truly acquire the intention to bestow, I'll be able to work in the desire to receive with the intention to bestow. This is considered the action itself.

7. S. (21:57) We have two purposeful lights to achieve the correction of creation. What's the difference between drawing light of Hassadim and light of Hochma, how do we do it?

R. We are discussing how we acquire the light of Hassadim, called faith above reason to rise above vessels of reception and to be in bestowal to one another. We have nothing to bestow, we are not like the Creator that we can just give all of ourselves. We have the will to receive, we are vessels of reception, so how do we do it. We don’t, we only rise above our wills to receive, with the intention to bestow. The intention, not the action. This means that we correct ourselves in the first correction. Hence when we come to this first correction from the Malchut to Bina, the degree of Bina, we cannot bestow. Bina does not have the strength to bestow, only the desire to bestow. That's why it's called parking. So, in order to bestow, later, we raise ourselves from Malchut to Bina, and later we really begin to correct ourselves by raising ourselves from Bina to Keter then we draw the will to receive from the Malchut to the degree of Bina with Bina that aims itself to work with the Malchut, we then work to receive in order to bestow, that's our work.

8. S. (24:06) He compares it to a rest before a battle, in what sense are we resting in the spiritual work?

R. In spirituality how should I put it, we work in order to rise above the will to receive not to use it for now rise to the degree of Bina above the degree of Malchut. That's the work of the Maccabees signified by Hanukkah we need to look for and find the light of bestowal and later we begin to work with the force of bestowal with the will to receive in Malchut and we raise Malchut to the degree of Bina in receiving in order to bestow. The work you do before Hanukkah is in order to attain the intention to bestow on top of all our desires to receive. We want, that above all our desires to receive there will be the intention to bestow. This means we wish to reach the degree of Hanukkah, parking in the spiritual work. Later when we attain this spiritual degree we begin to evoke, to awaken these desires to receive and these desires to receive them participating with the intention to bestow. This is after Hanukkah, this is when Malchut and Bina are used together. That is how we rise to the degree of Purim. It symbolizes the degree of end of correction, to receive in order to bestow in all of our vessels of reception.

9. S. (26:41) How do we apply this to our work right now a day before the Congress and this idea of rest I feel like we are going 100% a hundred miles an hour in preparation, how this rest applies right now before this Congress?

R. We still don't have time to rest. I hope that this Congress will symbolize a certain degree of bestowal in order to bestow a degree of faith above reason, this is called Hanukkah. Where the force of Bina covers the entire force of Malchut. I hope that this is how we will talk about it, this is how we will work in the Congress, how can we rise above the entire egoistic desire in each and every one and all of us together, with the desire to bestow meaning with the intention to bestow. We don't have actual desire to bestow, the desire to bestow is the Creator. For us to want to want our actions to be acts of bestowal. Let's hope that that is what we will do. We will talk a lot about it, the Congress is about faith above reason, Bina above Malchut that's the light of Hassadim that covers the entire will to receive, will to receive seemingly unfelt because it's entirely covered in Hassadim. Inside I’m an egoist in the egoistic desire but I wish to rise above it and be in bestowal, to be in connection so I don't know how to use the desire itself to be in connection but above it, seemingly to forget about the will to receive that I have, to rise above it that's what I want.

10. S. (29:17) Why does Hanukkah begin specifically on the 25th of Kislev?

R. Hanu Koh Chaf Hey twenty five. It is the 25th of the month when we celebrate Hanukkah. We are going to enter it is not so simple how the upper light clothes in this world and divides the world into months, into weeks and days why it's happening like that in the system, the sun and the moon and earth it's not for now. The sun symbolizes Keter, the moon Bina and the earth Malchut, how these systems work according to the forces in them. We will understand also by ourselves in the study how each and every spiritual system, how it's expressed in our corporeal world and how all three, all three degrees sun, moon, and earth influence one another. In the coming days we’ll begin to feel more and more the mutual influence of the sun, moon and earth on one another we'll discover it and how we specifically on our part from the side of people who are in Malchut, on earth how we can be connected in our desires to the moon and even to the sun how we can connect this entire system. So, this entire system will show us intentionally how it comes out of balance and the phenomena that are not so good for us that are threatening to us how through our actions and intentions, our spiritual actions and intentions, how we can calm it down, calm the system down bring it to mutual actions, sun moon and earth, we’ll talk about it.

S. On what does the length of the parking depend?

R. The length of the parking is 7 to 8 days from the following…

11. S. (32:39) Do we first try to build the intention and then we put it over the desire?

R. What do you think, first you use the desire without an intention?

S. How can we build an intention without it clothing on something?

R. We acquire the intention to bestow on the condition that we restrict the will to receive we don't want to use it and then a certain will to receive a kind that we don't want to use and wish to acquire the light of correction over it, to have intention in order to bestow, and then, we use it in practice, the will to receive. If I sit in front of the host, I need to know what kind of desires I have and what intentions I have over them, but I don't use the desires yet because if I do, it will be in order to receive. Let's say there's a nice portion of something before me, a cake, let’s say. The host gives me the cake and wants me to take it and enjoy it and I see the cake, I want it, but I don't touch it. I first have to perform certain actions to acquire the intention to use the cake in order to bestow to the host. So, I need to know what the flavors of the cake are, I need to know the fillings of the cake, and then above those, I come to the intention in order to bestow. To the extent that I have attained that intention, this is called the parking of Hanukkah, and then I begin to use the cake because that's what’s left if I really truly want to bestow to the host I begin to receive the cake in order to bestow to him. That's the order of our actions, we will learn about it, they speak about all those things. We will continue, keep the questions, I'm happy you have questions, I'm not going to solve all of them, let's continue with the verses and from them we will understand and if we don't understand, I’ll explain. Everything will come, don't worry, we have a lot of time to learn about this degree to bestow in order to bestow faith above reason. Hanukkah we will learn about this state. We can’t advance further into the correction of creation without first acquiring this force of bestow in order to bestow.

Excerpt # 3. Rabash. Letter #26. Reader. (36:19 - 38:22). Read twice.

12. S. (38:25) Our work, in this time is there something specific to do compared to different times of the year?

R. We are now at a time inside of Bnei Baruch where we wish to reach vessels of bestowal meaning intention. We don't have vessels of bestowal the desire to bestow is the Creator we can only aspire to be in the intention in order to bestow, above the desires and then to use the desire to receive in order to bestow. That's why our first goal is the correction of creation, the intention to bestow above all our desires to receive, each and every one of us has many desires to receive for each and everything that's revealed before us we want to receive it. Our goal is to come to the intention of in order to bestow, that's it. When we have the intention to bestow above our desire this means that we have come to a state called Hanukkah. Parking, what does it mean, it's not parking where we physically actually stop rather we continue in a different kind of work, receiving in order to bestow. Meaning up to bestow in order to bestow we have a process from Malchut to Bina and receive in order to bestow we have a process from Bina to Keter. Generally speaking.

13. S. (40:32) Hanukkah and Tzimtzum Bet, is it the same thing?

R. No, Tzimtzum Bet is already a restriction on the vessels of reception, how to use them in order to bestow correctly that's why it's not the same action.

14. S. (40:57) ....

R. Something concrete that I want to connect to the friends of course what is your goal, my goal is to connect with the friend to build together with them one desire it's called one heart, one man in one heart. Inside this desire which is made of the broken parts we somehow manage to glue together so by connecting our desire in the intention to bestow, we make them into one vessel, called the soul. From ten parts we make one vessel, complete vessel. This is the end of Hanukkah and after that we begin to work to fill this vessel, this picture with lights to receive in order to bestow in it.

S. How can we understand we already finished this work?

R. We will begin to feel where we are.

S. But in the meantime the Reshimot that appear in us and above it we can connect to the friends into one soul?

R. Yes, we need to come to a state where all of our desires, all of our thoughts, all the disturbances in short, all the disturbances in connection that we have when we want to connect and there are disturbances, we try to rise above the disturbances and nevertheless connect. That is our work

15. S. (43:24) What is the role of the mind and the heart for the will to bestow?

R. Both in the brain and in the heart we need to try and be in order to bestow. There are two vessels, brain and heart which are intentions and desires, the brain is the intention, and the heart is the desire. But you have to need to locate it, we need to feel it and then we'll understand. Brain and heart is the sum total of all the vessels we have. I have no more to answer. For the time being we are only starting to locate these vessels of bestowal called Hanukkah.

16. S. (44:53) Is the intention made of two points, and if it is, what are they?

R. The intention is made of Bina and Malchut. Where above all the desires that are revealed to me in Malchut, I wish to work in the intention to bestow which is Bina, but I'm not using the desires themselves in practice rather I want to be above them. I don’t use the desire itself but wish to reach connection with the friends above the desire this is the action of Hanukkah.

17. S. (45:41) What is this state Hanu Koh, parked here. That state where we assemble the forces for the next attack?

R. We attack our will to receive in order to be above it and use only the intention to bestow on top of each and every desire. It's called love covers all crimes. Love is already a connection above all the desires that appear, I want to use them only in order to bestow or at least not to do harm to the friends. When all kinds of rejections appear problems with the friends I want to rise above them, let's put it this way. This is what is happening to us now in acquiring the degree of Bina.

S. Why is it parking?

R. Because I work only in order to reject, repel my intentions to receive rise above them but I still don't use the will to receive itself to fill it with pleasures in order to bestow, I'm only above it. Let's put it this way, I sit in front of the host as a guest and I reject and reject and reject all of the imploring of the host for me to receive and enjoy, I can't enjoy in order to bestow, I can only be next to the host and in this way participate in a meeting with him, this is called parking.

18. S. (47:40) This means that the resistance that contains part of the suffering and acquiring the yearning?

R. I didn't understand resistance to what resistance to the will to receive not to use it, of course you have it here, I have to restrict myself from enjoying. Yes. This is why it's called the festival of light when we rise above matter and are seemingly above it, above Malchut in the degree of Bina the degree of bestowal, when we seemingly purportedly are not made of the will to receive We rise above our will to receive although we can't run away from it but every time we want to be above it have an inclination to bestow upon others this is called correcting ourselves in this way, for the time being.

19. S. (49:06) Question from a student, in Hanukkah, bestowal to bestow, do we get revelation of the Creator and if yes what is the difference between this revelation and revelation of receiving in order to bestow and if we don't have revelation, how we identify this degree?

R. We identify this degree according to the will to receive. That we are above it. Yes. This is how we determine the degree of Hanukkah, the will to receive remains and exists. Without it we can't even speak of a state of created being because the created being is the will to receive, that’s it. More and more so the will to receive appears from moment to moment more and more within the created being in each and every one of us, but we don't use it. But only put a Tzimtzum, restriction on it, rise above it. Why? Because I want to grow closer to the Host. I can’t grow closer to the Host with my will to receive, I can’t. So what happens then, I confine, restrict my will to receive and begin to use it only as a basis for an intention to bestow I want to come to bestow upon you but, in the meantime it's all I have, only the intention. Tasting the pleasures and bestowing upon you in such a way that it goes through me and having the intention for you, I can't do this, this is completely different work. Bestowing in order to bestow and receiving in order to bestow are completely different vessels. Bestowing in order to bestow is the intention, the degree of Bina, it’s raising, elevating myself above Malchut not using my will to receive it’s as if I'm included in the upper one and the upper one controls me the upper one kind of hovers over me, so when I'm under the governance of the upper one, I bestow in order to bestow.

Let's say I come over to your house to visit and you put a cake in front of me and you want me to have some to take this cake and eat in front of you because by this you want to give me pleasure. I don't use it but I am sitting in front of you, and your greatness, your importance is so great in my eyes, that I don't want the cake. Although I do want it and I'm hungry, the greatness of the giving from the host is more than I am getting from the cake. This is called bestowing in order to bestow. It's bestowal, the inspiration, the impression from the host is greater than anything I am receiving from the cake and in this way I get the power of bestowal, where the importance of the Creator is more important in my eyes than the pleasure from the cake. Now you can say, basically what is called changing a cow for a donkey, you take one pleasure instead of the other and we also have these states sometimes. I don't take this cake, in this case, because for me being next to the host is more important than tasting the cake. The pleasure from being next to the host is greater than tasting the cake. So what's the difference, it's just two pleasures and I prefer one to the other. No, I have to come to a state where I don't see the host. This is why the Creator is hidden. Because if He were revealed, then we would indeed be replacing one pleasure with the other. I have the pleasure of being next to the Creator and it's more than the pleasure of tasting the cake. It doesn't work this way. I have to, by submitting myself, subjugating myself to the friends, I have to bring myself to a state where I truly have vessels of bestowal.

This is already called faith above reason. Without taking into consideration Malchut, that it's in my interest, it's more lucrative, it’s better for me to be in the force of bestowal, force of faith. Otherwise, who wouldn’t do it. If He were revealed, who would be engaged in receiving in this world, would we go through this life in this way, these days that we go through here, would we be living them out in this way. Everyone would run to the Creator. Each one would see it as the best thing, to annul ourselves before the Creator. But the Creator is concealed and this is why we need only by drawing lights as assisting to us not as determining our state but I want to revoke myself before the friends and then I need this upper light so it would give me the strength to annul myself before the friends and then I truly acquire the force of bestowal which will be called Faith Above Reason. Faith above reason. Think about it, we will talk about it. He writes about it, Baal HaSulam. This is called there is no spiritual reward in this world.

S. The second question is on Sukkot there was the correction of intention, what's the difference between Sukkot and Hanukkah?

R. We're not going to start all these walks between one holiday and the next, we're just learning about what is Hanukkah a little bit, that's it. You have to sort your questions because you could ask about anything why not Rosh HaShanah or Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement or Shavuot, the giving of the Torah, Passover, you could ask about anything we are learning only about what is happening. A person has to emerge from the will to receive in order to receive which symbolizes a pass over to us and he has to come to the reception of the Torah and from this he has to come to a decision that he's going to work in order to bestow and the first degree in his correction in order to bestow is called Hanukkah and after Hanukkah we come to Purim, the end of correction.

20. S. (58:17) What is my prayer so that the miracle lights of Hanukkah can help bring my friends to the degree of Bina?

R. Exactly as you put it I want to assist the friends reach the level of Bina, the level of bestowal where we are all in the level of bestowal and this is where we want to be. Therefore I ask the Creator Give my friends and me along with them let us be in the degree of mutual bestowal so we will be connected among us not out of our egoistic desires to receive but because we want to support each other. In the simple way.

21. S. (59:39) Can we say that Hanukkah is the process until the completion of Masach?

R. Yes. Moreover, when we already come to complete the Masach, the screen in bestowing in order to bestow, this specifically is called the miracle of Hanukkah.

22. S. (01:00:17) The intention and the desire can they become one Kli?

R. Yes, if we have the intention to bestow upon each other then we all of us the whole group becomes one Kli, one vessel.

Excerpt# 4. Concerning the Hanukkah Candle. Reader (01:00:52 - 01:02:27). Reads Twice

23. R. In other words, Hanukkah means we are in Lishma the intention to bestow in vessels of bestowal only not receiving in order to bestow but bestowing in order to bestow but this is already a spiritual degree that when we are already in the spiritual degree over all of our desires to receive when we can say that we will use them only on condition that we have the aim to bestow, this is called being in Hanukkah. Meaning we are still in our desires to receive, we are not using our desires to receive in practice, but by this we are preparing ourselves to, after Hanukkah approach using the will to receive in order to bestow. That's the transition from Hanukkah to Purim. Hanukkah is the degree of Bina, of bestowing in order to bestow, it's also called the degree of faith. It symbolizes the light that shines from the candle from the oil. That's how we advance.

24. S. (01:03:57) How should our ten feel the light of Hanukkah during Congress and stay in faith above reason, above the will to receive?

R. In this Congress in our connection we want to come to a state where we want to connect among us and we can connect among us only on condition that we have the intention to bestow upon each other help each other. Otherwise, the egoistic desires can’t connect, look what's happening in the world, countries want to unite among them. Look at Europe, European countries want to connect with one another, France, the Czech Republic look at all the countries you have 30 countries in Europe they said they want to connect, to unite. What came out of the connection? Each one still remained with its own intention for itself not for the purpose of general connection this is why this connection is not working, we can already see that it's falling apart because they were never connected, they only thought they would achieve connection. Egoists cannot connect unless each one rises above his egoistic will to receive his egoistic desire only then they connect among them above their egoistic individual desires, and that’s the problem.

S. What is the difference between the action of bestowal and the intention to bestow?

R. The intention to bestow is only an intention, it is just a thought. It’s called in the mind, that’s the mind. The act to bestow is called in the heart, the heart means desires. If we can determine, establish bestowal upon others in our hearts as well, in the desire, when use my desire in order to not satisfy myself but to satisfy the others, this is called receiving in order to bestow. When I receive in my desire so as to pass on what I received, to others. By this we become included in one another. Bestowing in order to bestow only makes us touch one another but there is still no merging, inclusion in one another but in receiving in order to bestow we become included in one another. What is in me I give to you and what you have you can give to me and that way the two become as one.

25. S. (01:07:34) What symbolizes the spiritual work in the ten, of the ten. What in that spiritual work is the desecration of the Temple?

R. It's when that will to receive, that we once had in the system of Adam HaRishon when it was one. The Creator broke it, He broke it so that we would be able to collect the pieces of the puzzle and by assembling them we would understand how we can be connected this is why we all need to think about how we bestow upon each other, that's it. This is called the ruin of the temple; it is on purpose, so we would have the work of assembling and reassembling all the pieces, all the broken pieces.

26. S. (01:08:51) ....

R. Hanukkah means bestowing in order to bestow and when we achieve it it's called achieving the force of Hanukkah, parking the force of Bina.

S. Why does it say that we should not use the light of Hanukkah if we're already in the degree of bestow in order to bestow?

R. We can't use the aim to bestow in order to bestow because we only have the force to use the power of bestowal in order to bestow, not to receive in order to bestow. I can sit in front of the host and enjoy sitting in front of him but in my pleasure from being next to him is greater than the cake that I could receive from him, but if I took the cake then the pleasure from the cake would be too great and I would stop thinking about the host. This is why Hanukkah is still only a Masach, a screen on coarseness of degrees Shoresh one and two, vessels of bestowal. Whereas, afterwards from Hanukkah to Purim we begin to work with vessels that receive in order to bestow. Not bestow in order to receive, but also receive in order to bestow that's how we come to vessels of reception in order to bestow. This is how we come to Purim. t means we can work with all the vessels completely with the aim to bestow. This is why on Hanukkah the symbol of Hanukkah is light, like a candle. A candle means that you have the jar with oil and the wick and you light up the light above the wick whereas on Purim it's symbolized by drinking, a big feast, a lot of food, until we get drunk why, because we put no limits on our will to receive and we can receive in order to bestow.

27. S. (01:12:01) In the group, what kind of behavior do you have to be aware of in order to not use the light of Hanukkah?

R. We should not think about ourselves but about the group that's basically the only condition, that's it.

28. S. (01:12:59) Hanukkah is still not the realization of the goal but only the correction of creation. Is there something beyond the goal that we are not aware of?

R. First let us achieve the goal that Kabbalists tell us about afterwards inside this goal we will discover higher goals, even higher goals, don't jump.

29. S. (01:14:07) Want to ask an opposite question from the friend, I don't need to use the light of Hanukkah because I will fall into the will to receive so what does it mean to use the light of Hanukkah correctly?

R. Only to bestow in order to bestow in order to bestow, this is called the light of Hanukkah, the light of Hassadim. You can't receive the light of Hassadim, you can’t receive it and enjoy it, you can only see what is happening outside of you, it is like holding a candle. Let's say you're holding a candle and you take the candle to hold it so you begin to see what is outside of you , this is what the light of Hanukkah symbolizes.

30. S. (01:15:15) How to illuminate the darkness inside of us in the work?

R. Only in bestowing in order to bestow to the friends, help the friends achieve the degree of bestowal.

31. S. (01:15:34) Who enjoys the action of bestowing in order to bestow. Where is the pleasure?

R. The pleasure is in rising above our will to receive.

32. S. (01:15:53) What is the Hanukkah Miracle? Does a person reveal it inside of him?

R. Yes, the miracle of Hanukkah is when we reach the opposite degree from the will to receive we come to Bina from the degree of Malchut. These are good questions. I am very happy generally with the questions, today they are to the point. We learned each other, you me and I you and we understand what we want to achieve through such a lesson.

Excerpt 5. Rabash. These Candles are Sacred. Reader (01:16:39 - 01:17:09)

33. R. The desires to receive inside of a person, which resists spirituality are called the greeks and then you have, seemingly, a war between Greek and Israel. Of course, it has nothing to do with what happens in corporeality, it is not what it is about, we have to see everything is happening in spirituality. How it happens in corporeality afterwards we will later learn how to relate to these things. The greeks are the desires to receive inside of a person, inside of each and every one of us, these are the greeks. The maccabees are the desires to bestow, or intentions to bestow that are in a person and then there is a war between those who say work in order to receive and those who say work in order to bestow, this is basically the resistance that exists in each and every one.

Reader continues (01:18:27 - 01:18:40)

34. R. They wanted to come to bestow in order to bestow this is called spirituality the degree of Bina.

Reader continues (01:18:48 - 01:19:02)

35. R. In other words, the vessels of reception awaken in each and every person who wants to achieve spirituality, they awaken and don't let that person, it is in each and everyone of us, they don't let us achieve spirituality. Rather bigger and bigger desires to receive, awaken inside and confuse us not letting us at advance to the intention to bestow.

Reader continues (01:19:33 - 01:19:39)

36. R. In other words, the Creator helped in this case so we can win, what does that mean? That we would advance specifically in our desires in order to bestow.

Reader continues (01:20:01 - 01:10:06)

37. R. Only on the intention to bestow, not only the act to bestow, but the intention to bestow. The intention to bestow means that I seemingly shift from Malchut to Bina and say that I want only to give, I still can't bestow but all of my intentions and my desires, I don't want them to be in order to receive. I want them to be, I don't have them yet, but I want them to be in the future in order to bestow, this is called reaching the degree Bina.

Reader continues (01:20:42 - 01:21:22)

38. R. In other words, our work is divided into two parts, from our will to receive in order to receive we go through the restriction and the screen and the reflected light on the vessels of bestowal as it is called, only up to the degree of Bina on the desires of root 1 and 2, this is called Katnut, smallness, or infancy. What does it mean smallness or infancy, it means when I can only bestow I can't receive in order to bestow. But I can bestow in order to bestow and stay in it. Then after this point, Bina, Hanukkah, we shift to correcting the vessels of reception in order to bestow. Then we go into a state of Gadlut, adulthood the of the vessels when we use the coarseness of degrees of 3 and 4 to receive in order to bestow this is called using the whole soul, all of our vessel with the aim to bestow. This symbolizes Purim. Purim symbolizes the entire vessel, used with the intention to bestow.

39. S. (01:23:04) We learn concepts in potential and practice. Can we connect what we're learning now that Hanukkah can be connected to spirituality in potential and later in practice?

R. Yes, you are right.

40. S. (01:23:30) All of your students want to feel that Miracle of Hanukkah, and we feel that you also want us to feel it. How can we want this miracle to happen to the friends and not me personally?

R. Show them an example that you want to achieve bestowal, example. This is what we can give to one another, how I want to achieve bestowal, how I bestow upon others this is called helping one another. In this I can help the friends by giving them an example of how much I want to help everyone.

41. S. (01:24:24) The work of rising from Malchut to Bina, we fight the Greeks or we focus on the connection between us, what is first?

R. First of all I'm asking you not to speak about the Greeks in this way, these forces, these terms, concepts of Greeks, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all of these terms exist in every single person.  Man is called a small world and includes within him all of the discernments, all of the discernment, all of the qualities. This is how we have to relate to everyone, so when we talk about, and we use these names, Greeks, Egyptians and so forth, Jews, so we need to understand when we do that we are speaking about only internal forces, internal forces that we wants to detect in each and every one of us, all of us. It consists of all of the forces, so first of all this is what is important for us to emphasize, if we speak we only need to get used to it that as the friend from Kiev just told us now, we are fighting against the Greeks so we understand that we are fighting against our vessels, our own vessels of reception. Greek and Greece have no connection to it God forbid, you will see later it is just the terminology.

S. How do we fight these vessels? Do we rise above them?

R. We will learn what to do with them, first we have to restrict the will to receive that I don't want to use it, why? Because my use of the will to receive now will be in order to receive for certain, this is why I have to perform the Tzimtzum not using the will to receive. I sit in front of the host, I don't touch the cake that he puts in front of me, no I don't touch it. That is first and foremost, then I begin to check to what extent I can add to my bestowal upon the host. For now I am showing the host how much when I am next to him, I show him how pleasant it is, how good it is, how happy I am that I am next to him, I am not receiving anything from him because I don't want to be a receiver. I want to stay next to the host, that is what is important to me. You can give me whatever you want from the world, any pleasure, but I won't take from them because in receiving the pleasure I will immediately feel that I am moving away from the host. Moved away from the cake one mm, from the salad 10 meters, from the fish 100 meters from the fish one kilometer, and then I check myself, I measure to what extent it is important for me to be next to the host.

42. S. (01:29:02) Does the light of Hanukkah influence humanity directly?

R. Humanity must come in the near future to the light of Hanukkah this is why our first virtual Congress, a Congress in the new virtual world that is emerging before us is specifically a congress on Hanukkah, in Hanukkah. This is the first degree that we all have to come to, all of us, all of humanity to bestow in order to bestow.

Excerpt 5. Rabash. These Candles are Sacred. Reader reads whole article again (01:33:32 - 01:34:09)

43. R. What is the decree, it means that we have to reach bestowing in order to bestow, that's it.

Reader continues (01:34:19 - 01:34:33)

44. R. Meaning that the will to receive grows and grows not letting us reach vessels of bestowal then what do we do?

Reader continues (01:34:44 - 01:34:52)

45. R. Meaning then we connect as much as we can into groups, tens, and pray asking the Creator to give us the power to bestow, by that we can connect and take advantage of the forces of separation between us and that is basically the Congress, the convention that we want to achieve in Hanukkah.

Reader continues (01:35:22 - 01:35:29)

46. R. Vessels of bestowal, the desire to bestow intentions to bestow.

Reader continues (01:35:34 - 01:35:55)

47. R. Because we only rise above the vessels have reception and then it means that we merit vessels of bestowal but it is not vessels of bestowal, it is only intentions to bestow but we only have vessels of reception. So, we have vessels of reception, we have come to a point where we are basically restricting them, we don't want to use them because they are vessels of reception, desires to receive. We rise above them and we are above them not wanting to use the vessels of reception, again it is just half the way.

Reader continues (01:36:36 - 01:39:25) reads excerpt twice

48. S. (01:39:26)

R. What comes to Earth is the result of spirituality, all of the rest in scrutinies, discernment that we, we'll try to take all into account to explain, certainly everything that happens here in this world is a result of the spiritual state.

49. S. (01:40:34) What does it mean that you are rewarded with vessels of bestowal that it's only half the war, how do we know where we are?

R. When we come to a state where you want to bestow in order to bestow you have no desire to receive yet, which can receive in order to bestow. That is very great work but in the meantime bestowing in order to bestow, that means that you have reached the degree of Hanukkah, the parking, half the way. From the will to receive in order to receive we come to a restriction so we no longer want to use it in order to receive, then we work to achieve a state where we bestow in order to bestow. Which means I wish to be in bestowal even though I have no vessels of the bestowal, but we can nevertheless, we win that war, We rise above our desires to receive, we are above them and this is called faith above reason. Bina above Malchut.

S. Hanukkah is half the work or you can only reach in order to bestow?

R. Only in Purim where you come to receive in order to bestow.

S. So Hanukkah is the middle of the road?

R. Finally you understand what we read a while ago.

S. Yes it takes time, thank you.

R. Well, you're always falling behind, what can I do.

50. S. (01:42:33)

R. Pleasures, root 1 2 3 4, five levels of desire to receive and 5, that means that they are on the

table.

S. In my corporeal life, what I feel is a pleasure?

R. No, these are pleasures that are between you and the friends to the extent that you can give up the pleasures of this world so as to be connected with the friends.

S. What does it mean to give out pleasures of this world to be connected with them?

R. Well, let's say you don't want to come to the gathering of friends, you don't have enough importance of it, studying together and supporting them, helping them to feel that you all exist in a single Kli, these sort of things. We don't yet have a feeling of these vessels that is why it is hard for me to give examples. We will have to acquire it.

S. Force on the connection with the friends, the war is on the connection with the friends.

R. Yes only that as much as we think of spirituality as something up there somewhere, no, it is actually in the connection with the friends.

51. S. (01:44:31) It is felt that I am also moving away from the work as I get all kinds of things for myself throughout the whole day?

R. Yes, I don't understand the question.

S. The pleasures that I want to receive through myself during the day also drives me away from the friends?

R. Of course, sure, I still don't hear the question but what you're saying is right. That the pleasures that I received during the day they also push me away from the friends.

S. So you're saying I can't do anything with this for right now?

R. You have to rise above them, you have to reach a state where you will be above them, where the desire to connect will be more important to you than the will to receive. You are not yet going to connect, you don't have the power, the force to connect yet, in practice, but you prefer to be detached from the force of reception, to not be in it in order to receive.

52. S. (01:46:01) I heard you say to get the forces to bestow, to connect above the connection of separation between us, this is the purpose of the congress that we are going towards. If we reach critical mass will the Creator answer us?

R. The Creator always answers, the question is will you hear what he is telling you or not.

S. Before that how can we prepare ourselves?

R. Then you just need to do, to follow what the Kabbalists tell you, what I am telling you, just do it until you get an answer and if you don't get an answer it indicates that you still haven't filled your quota.

53. S. (01:46:59) We can wage the war not on terms of degrees, by aiming again to the Creator and creating an environment.... it is not clear how the left is corrected if in spirituality there is no coercion?

R. That is exactly what it means to be properly connected with the friends in mutual aid, that means to win against the greek, the forces of separation between us. When I feel criticism towards the friends, this one and the other one, each and every one I have something on them. This is exactly the greek within me, the forces of separation in me.

54. S. (01:48:06) The Creator is the will to bestow and he created the created being, the will to receive, suddenly after the Tzimtzum Bet, this term vessels of bestowal comes up, to bestow and order to this stuff can you explain, is this an artificial term, vessels in a created being?

R. We don't have vessels of bestowal, vessels of bestow are the Creator. A vessel is the desire The desire to bestow is the Creator, we can bestow by removing ourselves from the will to receive and moving away from it, then receiving strength from the Creator to use the will to receive in order to bestow. Actual vessels of bestowal is the Creator, we are only vessels of reception. Vessel means desire. When I receive the strength from the Creator to bestow then even though I received and I have no other choice, that is the only way for me to bestow to the Creator, to receive from him in order to bestow to him this is called receiving in order to bestow it means I have vessels of bestowal. Even though the vessels of the bestowal is a contradiction in terms, there is no such thing. A vessel of the bestowal, bestowal means desire, desire to bestow can only be the Creator, we are only vessels of reception that in a certain style of work can make an action of bestowal.  If the host really wants the guest to receive from him and the guests like Baal HaSulam writes does not want to receive, he does want to receive, but he stops himself from receiving and then they come to a point where the guest starts receiving and the host feels that he is receiving from the guest. Take the example of the bride and the bridegroom that even if he needs to give a ring as a gift to the bride, if he is a very important person and he agrees to marry her then it is as though she gives to him by receiving that ring. So it is not who makes the action but the nature of the action, the quality of the action.

55. S. (01:51:12) To melt in the ten and draw the light that reforms creating that mutual field is this called to bestow in order to bestow?

R. Yes. If you come to that, those who come to that are already on the level of Bina.

56. S. (01:51:38) Is the result of bestow according to the preparation of the restriction?

R. We by wanting to acquire the force of the restriction we come close to the force of bestowal, the first stage where we don't use the power of reception, that is restriction. Then the next stage which is from Hanukkah to Purim we use the vessels of reception in order to bestow after we have required the intention to bestow we begin to use the vessels of reception in order to bestow.

57. S. (01:52:49) And we say Hanukkah is the internal that a student makes before entering the upper spiritual degree?

R. No, no, completely not. Hanukkah is already a completely high spiritual degree we haven't reached it yet, it is when we actually have an intention to bestow over all of my desires to receive, when I have only the intention to bestow, not yet the action of receiving in order to bestow, only bestowing in order to bestow this is called Hanukkah, this is called the parking, the middle of the road. So from receiving in order to receive, I come to bestowing in order to bestow which is Hanukkah and then to receiving in order to bestow which is Purim, the final correction.

58. S. (01:54:04) To enjoy myself from being in the ten and being concerned that they will be in spirituality this is receiving in order to bestow?

R. No, that depends on what state you are in. You can do all kinds of corporeal actions to help the ten achieve mutual bestowal and connection and that will still be while you are in order to receive as it is now in the meantime. Bestowing in order to bestow means that you don't want to use your vessels of reception at all. That is still ahead of us, hopefully we will achieve it soon, maybe even in the Congress if we make a  great common effort.

59. S. (01:55:17) How can vessels of reception go into holiness?

R. If I can use vessels of reception in order to bestow to the host I have a desire to enjoy the cake. If there's no desire there's nothing to talk about, specifically having the desire to receive, to enjoy, that connects me to the Creator. So if I use my will to receive but no longer in order to benefit myself, but rather to benefit him, then I am using my vessels of reception in order to bestow.

60. S. (01:56:26) In our work now do we have to aim for the light up the purpose of creation or is it enough to concentrate in the ten correcting the vessels to bestow?

R. No, I need to aim myself at connection with the friends, building a vessel where we can connect to the Creator.

61. S. (01:57:03) What is that parking? Is it the scrutiny before the reception to bestow?

R. Yes, the parking means the transition from bestowing in order to bestow to receiving in order to bestow, it is a very special state. We stopped at the level of Bina and we go through all of the seven Sefirot which means the week of Hanukkah and from there we go forward from Bina to Keter, that is to receive in order to bestow.

62. S. (01:57:59) Is there a sensation of pleasure in the correction of Hanukkah?

R. If I know that this is how I am bestowing to the host as much as I can right now which is bestowing in order to bestow right now it is called Katnut, infancy where I don't use my vessel of reception, like a baby. But the baby gives great pleasure to its parents, right? So, specifically because that is how it is, it makes a simple calculation. In spirituality it means clinging to the upper one as much as you can, with anything you have. Then you have a great light of adhesion which fills the vessel, which is also pleasure for the upper one that you are in a state as he is. First of all this state of the Creator is pure bestowal and now you also have the light of the bestowal, it is not that you realize yourself in receiving in order to bestow but in terms of the lights, in terms of the state, it is a very lofty state. You are like the Creator except you don't have the attainment of the Creator here, but you are in Ein Sof essentially, only with vessels of bestowal. You already rise above yourself, Hanukkah is a very high state, it is the holiday of lights. You understand? It is not just something in between things, only Katnut, no, in terms of the proximity to the Creator you don't use your vessels of reception and he doesn't have vessels reception, you want to completely bestow as much as you can like a little child who is clinging to his mother and you are very very close. You don't let your vessels of reception make a barrier between you and the Creator so in that respect you feel yourself in the upper light. In a very lofty state, Bina resembles, it is the aspect of Bina, it is the aspect of bestowal that can be felt in the created being and that is a wonderful thing. The Keter that we attain is that when we use the vessels of reception in order to bestow, this is already being similar to the Creator in bestowal, and giving. In an action. But the degree of Bina is to some extent greater than that, as we don't use the vessel of reception at all, I don't take them into account, I don't have attainment of the Creator but I am detached from my vessels of reception and by that I resemble him, this is called being free.

S. Does that mean we are getting pleasure only from bestowing because there is pleasure, and pleasure to bestow is allowed in this case?

R. This is the question, what does it mean pleasure of the bestowal? So the pleasure of bestowal that we receive on this degree is called Katnut.

S. And that is allowed if we say to receive pleasure so it is the will to receive, so how do I suddenly have the will to receive that works and receiving pleasure but I am bestowing without any exertion in the will to receive?

R. You are always in the will to receive you can't exit the will to receive because you are a created being, but when you use the will to receive not with the intention to receive and enjoy but rather to bestow and to enjoy, vessels of the bestowal, in that you resemble the Creator. Words are missing here. We will read a few more things and then maybe we can see from what they write that we can have some common definitions.

 63. S. (02:03:03) Between the state of bestowing in order to receiving in order to bestow, it is really a parking calculating a few days or it is like a fraction of a second and instantly?

R. One week meaning a complete degree that we attain the degree of Bina, that we have to attain it and sort it out in a complete way this is called the week of Hanukkah.

S. This week is on a time schedule or there aren't real times it is instantly?

R. That week is when I receive the degree of Bina in a complete way.

64. S. (02:04:15) In this time of Hanukkah with the upcoming Congress what is the best way to help the friends prepare their vessel of reception to develop the intention to bestowal?

R. I think that the best thing is if we give an example to one another, that we will write and explain to each other what we are doing in order to be closer and more connected. Where the organizers of the Congress as much they are preparing us to connection between us, how we can get an impression from one another. That is what is important for us. Connection. Friends that is it, connection, nothing more than that. We will try and we will do it.

Excerpt 6. Reader (02:05:44 - 02:08:08). Reads twice

65. S. As a result of the task before us in the Congress, how can we do the work correctly?

R. According to us being able to relinquish everything we have in order to somehow be connected in the group, because first we need to connect between us, meaning I know all of the ego between each and everyone in the ten. Afterwards from connecting to start working with the Creator so the degree of Bina is actually that we can somewhat connect between us, suffer each other, stand each other. Start from there that we don't hide all of the problems, the way we can help each other, the way we can connect with one another and in this way to come closer.

Excerpt 7. Rabash. These Candles are Sacred. Reader (02:09:47 - 02:12:24). Read twice.

66. R. Meaning the greek is the will to receive, that is how it is called, in each and every one of us and, specifically in us, those who want to ascend to be in order to bestow and faith above reason, their desires that still aren't corrected and want to be in order to receive they are still in it, they are called the greek.  Against them is where we have to feel that they want to knock us down, all of us, to disconnect us from the Creator and that is why we need to fight against them, that they won't be in control of us. There are times that those greek that are in each and every one of us, these thoughts in order to receive our strengthening, and there are times that we can be in order to bestow, that Israel in us can overcome and that is the war. What we want obviously is to overcome the greek and to be above them, meaning that the will to receive will remain obviously, but that it will be entirely to bestow.

67. S. (02:14:01) You told about the war between friends, if the biggest part is the friends, why do I fight with them can you tell me?

R. You get great support from the friends on one hand, on the other hand what you all need is to reach the state of one man with one heart. Try to connect between all of the desires, all of the hearts, that everybody will be aimed in order to bestow in a mutual way towards one another and from there between the sum of all of them to turn to the Creator. Try and do it that way. Let every ten, the whole group, as much as we can, 5, 6, 7, 8, it doesn't matter how many people let us connect between that, all of our mutual desire, do we even have it, even one mutual desire do we have it? How can we connect between all of us that our mutual desire will be directed towards the Creator? That from bestowing to one another we reach a center of our circle and from there we turn to the Creator. That is what we need to do.

68. S. (02:15:48) What is the meaning of mighty rock of my salvation?

R. That I hope in my plea to the upper light that he will raise me to the degree from reception to the degree of bestowal, from concern on myself to concern to humanity and through them I can bestow to the Creator. This is what I aim for, for the upper light, for the force that comes from the Creator that it will help me do that. That is the mighty rock of my salvation, the upper force that comes and helps me to read salvation, bestowal through everyone to the Creator.

Excerpt 8. Reader (02:16:05 - 02:19:34). Read twice.

69. R. What is he saying? Specifically, who feels he has rejection to connection, those who want to reach connection, those who want to bestow to the Creator. So, they start feeling as much as they inside have forces that resist it. If we look at the world there are a lot of people who say to bestow to the Creator, obviously, what's the problem, let us bestow. But try and make them connect in the true way in order to connect in order to bestow to the Creator, meaning to find the Creator between them in order to cast out to him. Try and you will see as much as they already start failing. It is written that from the day the temple was demolished all of the evil that is revealed is revealed in those who serve the Creator specifically. Why? Because they want to reach bestowing to the Creator, they want to reveal him, they want to give him contentment, they want to discover all of Creation in order to bless the Creator. Why do they get all of the force of evil, the force of resistance to it? That is in order for them to overcome this great will to receive and above that to reach a big force in order to bestow. Then in the forces to bestow which are great they can resemble the Creator, they can resemble him. They will start feeling that they are going through the same states, the same degrees as the Creator himself. That is why I specifically, in those people who want to come close to the correct realization of their qualities in order to bestow, they feel on this path a big resistance, a big difficulty.

70. S. (02:22:21) When I connect to the joy of the friends I get a sublime pleasure without intention for myself and I overcome every pleasure that I felt in corporeality. Does it remove me from the friends?

R. We have to see and if yes, if you perform actions of connection and in these actions you feel that you are moving away from the friends, that is called a revelation, that is called revealing the wicked. That it causes the sanctity of the day and from that you advance, you get more coarseness that is revealed and along with the friends you can overcome that and attained a degree above that coarseness but you will have a spiritual degree.

S. So this friend comes to me through each and every friend through the feeling of the wicked?

R. It could be, yes.

71. S. (02:23:31) Many times we say you don't need to fight your ego so why are we talking about fighting the greek which are our will to receive?

R. We need to fight against our will to receive but not destroy it, but fighting means to give them less importance than the way they are revealed, they are revealed in us as egoistic desires as things that are important. That we have to do them. We want to say above them, no, the degree of bestowal, the degree of faith, is more important, the degree of faith above reason. We fight them not to destroy it, not to kill it, the Torah does not allow it. They only say fight on the importance and also not directly that you can fight the Greek in each and everyone, but only by coming close to the Creator and then you see who is more important in order to receive or in order to bestow. Only in such a way. That is why we will never succeed because our work has to be very precise because we want to reach in order to bestow and by that we subdue the will to receive.

72. S. (02:25:22) The greek in me says a few friends in the ten left me in my spiritual work today and did not come to the lesson today. How do I relate to this as Israel?

R. First of all pray that they will come back and not run away. Second, explain to everybody and talk about it, who could leave a friend in the battlefield? It is something very low, dirty, not nice. How can it be? We come to the lesson, it is an attack every time, there is more and more of an attack. You think now I am in a good state that I am willing to fight, and? No! I have a lot of my own troubles, problems, what can I do. Or during a war does someone ask if you feel good or not good? No. We have to go fight, we are in it, look at the world, look what state it is in. We have to feel ourselves that we are the active penetrating force, the pioneers, that is why the one who runs away first of all he's a traitor to his friends in the group.

Second the whole world BB a very big group that wants to reveal the force and third we are stealing from the world of the good force that can correct everybody. Who else can correct everybody? Who can draw the force of bestowal into the world if not our group, where is the responsibility? Where is the understanding of where we are while our world doesn't know where it is falling into, it is in a free-fall, just like that, following and that is it. Until we reach a third world war, we have to save the whole world and ourselves and everybody, that by this to give contentment to the Creator. He is giving us an ability to understand us and somewhat help. It doesn't matter that we have forces, it is enough if we want to change the whole form the world is getting, the whole way the world is developing. Instead of through suffering, the path of Torah and that all depends upon us. If we have a group that the whole group is running away and not coming to the morning lesson, the lesson is an attack, it is our attack, our general attack, especially if it is Thursday, that we are right before the big Congress, tomorrow it is already Congress day. How can it be that people are not coming? They are preparing big trouble for themselves especially, why? Because the Creator gave them a personal opportunity to each and every friend and they don't want to use it, as if they toss it back to the Creator and saying they don't want to use it. On the other hand, all the friends in the ten also need to feel themselves as guilty because I guess they have a flame inside and they're not all coming to the lesson because there's not enough importance. During the day yesterday we didn't engage in this enough and that is why today we see the result. So I'm asking, think in what state are you? As much as the state is important to us and for all of humanity.

S. How to relate to it without criticism because immediately criticism awakens to the point of tearing your heart to pieces of your soul that are supposed to be with you today?

R. Why are you criticizing the others and not yourself? You also weren't concerned that there wasn't enough importance for the lesson and for the connection, you weren't concerned about it yesterday and today you see the results from your negligence. Actually we're all guilty, we're all responsible, there is Arvut, mutual guarantee remember what Baal HaSulam wrote about in the article Arvut. So we need to be sorry about what's going on and be more connected. A man will help his friend, this is what we need. Let us hope that tomorrow we will reach the Congress in a serious way together, connected and discover ourselves that we can organize the connection in such a way that the faith above reason will be revealed, the force of Bina above Malchut, bestowing above reception and in this way that we will reach the goal.

Excerpt 9. Rabash. What is Hanukkah. Reader (02:32:23 - 02:33:04).

73. R. That is what we want each and every one of us wants to absorb it in his mind and we actually need the upper light that will organize and correct my relationships in such a way without understanding. Like in our world I don't do things in order to understand and I do it in order to feel that this is it and this is that, I want such things to happen to me to stabilize in me towards the force of bestowal, towards the upper light.

Reader continues(02:33:35 - 01:33:53).

INFO. (2:34:09) The recommendation of the Congress team is to prepare the friend so everyone will participate in the full schedule of the Congress from the very beginning to the very end. This is the recommendation and the request so our question to you is, internally speaking in the next 24 hours what should we focus on?

R. I think we can make an effort and be confident that we will achieve the degree of understanding that is what is before us, specifically Hanukkah and that is what we have to attain, whatever, that is what we pray about, that is what we think about, that is what we asked for and we need correction between yes Hanukkah is a war, first of all it is a war, then we reach a week of rest and then another war on the vessels of reception in order to bestow. For now it is bestowing in order to bestow. So we need to fight each and every one on the will to receive in him and above this will to receive we can feel ourselves close to one another, connected in the intention towards the purpose of creation, towards the Creator, that is what we need to organize between us, how each and every one and all of us together want to be connected between us and from our connection to the Creator. That is it and I think that it is very very actual. Possible to reach, still understand that it is a war as it is against each one's ego, feel as if I am with an inner tendency towards the Creator but that we have to go through the friends, the connection between us and we will succeed.
