Part 2:

Baal HaSulam. Introduction to The Book of Zohar. #68

Reading item 68. “Do not be surprised that one person’s actions bring….”

1. R. (02:28) Rav Reads Item #68

Meaning there is a very short mutual impact for influence between individual, the  collective and vice versa.

Rav Continues reading Item #68

R. Meaning how the study of the Wisdom of Kabbalah can help the people of Israel meaning those who yearn for the Creator no matter who their mother or their father is what nation they came from if they yearn for the Creator they are called Yashar-Kel direct to the Creator, Israel and then he has development by studying the wisdom of kabbalah.

2. S. (04:48) Sorry the questions are clear. What is unclear is whether thanks to engaging in the Book of Zohar and in the wisdom of Kabbalah the people will be worthy of coming out of exile into redemption and it's the only solution then why don't we study the Zohar everyday?

R. That is something that we will learn but in essence the book will not give us anything additional here because we still need to attain and can't come to the state where we can study and learn the Book of Zohar.

3. S. (05:35) What does it mean that the actions of the individual lowers or raises the entire collective? We know that the collective is more than one in particular so why do we say one individual?

R. That each and every person is responsible for the state of the world that is what he is actually trying to say.

Reading Item 69. (06:17) “From the above said we can thoroughly understand.…”

4. S. (11:13) How can a person correct his egoistic desire and how can he make sure that he actually corrected it?

R. To correct through connection with the Ten and from the Ten connection with the Creator those are actually the two steps that you can do in the correction. Accordingly he feels himself connected to all of reality.

5. S. (12:11) It says here that the redemption of Israel depends on the study of the Zohar and the internality of the Torah?

R. Yes.

S. What is the study of the Zohar and the internality of the Torah, are we really engaged in the internality of the Torah, what does that mean?

R. The internality of the Torah is the reforming light in which we study. In our study we are constantly drawing upon ourselves the reforming light.

S. We are in the lesson today and I do not know if we draw the light or not, how to be conscious of drawing the light during the study?

R. When you yearn for it you are hoping that through the study you are drawing the reforming light and as a result of that you hope to feel maybe in the next moment already.

S. Each one takes the light the way his vessels know how to do it. Does it actually draw the light or one has to depict regardless of what he describes to himself, does he need to build a different picture of what is the light that reforms?

R. He needs to see himself coming closer to the friends, connecting with them, coming closer with the friends to the Creator and connecting with him.

S. And that is called according to what Bal HaSulam wrote here studying the internality of the Torah and the Zohar?

R. Yes those stages that he will learn will feel and learn those stages are called the study of the internality of the Torah.

S. Thank you I'm very much hopeful that this is what we are doing, that the people of Israel and the whole world need this at this time, this is very very important.

R. Yes.

6. S. (14:34) It seems like the separation in Israel happens very naturally when there is an external enemy there is connection when it dissolves then the disputes and problems begin. The question is will we not have to really give them a higher perspective and picture of this whole thing which is only the dissemination of Kabbalah and the internality of the Torah and the Zohar like he writes here because it seems like when we are talking about connection is it is more or less automatic, people when they feel when they connect when they are not they distinctively separate there is no higher perspective , do we have to disseminate Kabbalah?

R. I don't hear what you are wanting to ask here but it seems to me that it all depends certainly on dissemination and dissemination needs to be very gradual, otherwise you will attain the opposite results that you are looking for.

7. S. (15:45) What is the inner part of the nations of the world in our work in the work of the ten?

R. It is the will to receive that can change and become the desire to bestow.

S. Meaning it is the same work that we are doing now in dissemination?

R. Yes.

S. Until we reach the inner part of Israel?

R. …

8. S. (16:30) You talked about graduality dissemination. What is that graduality you are talking about?

R. Graduality and dissemination is that we need I don't know what it was associated with but we need to see how we are disseminating and who we are disseminating to, so it will be understood acceptable to each and everyone no matter who we are coming to we want each and everyone to receive it according to their understanding.

S. In the present state of the Israeli Nation what can the public hear right now?

R. The public is always capable of hearing what is beneficial to it. Hence we need to write or talk in such a way that the public will understand that we have something that can benefit their state their current state.

S. What can benefit their present state?

R. According to our understanding only connection and to the extent of the Practical connection they can attain they will discover the force of bestowal that will be revealed between them.

S. Another question he writes here about the internality and externality that every person has to raise the internality above the externality. What is the externality that we need to overcome?

R. What is that externality? the externality is called that I am paying attention to external things besides the Creator, which I want to bring closer, to come closer to to bring myself closer to and that is not okay.

S. If a person has an inclination to do all kinds of actions like for instance with the war you can go out and donate to contribute?

R. That too is good, it brings people closer, it benefits human beings and therefore it is good.

S. What is the internality that needs to be increased?

R. Internality is already something different. It is not that I am, let say supplying food to soldiers or something, no, here it is a matter of the internality that we want to come to connection between us in which we reveal a connection with the Creator that is the main thing. Through this connection with the Creator we received the upper force, the Creator Himself who clothed us, He corrects us and fills us.

S. Practical actions like contributing as good things, this is good for who? For the people for the public?

R. This is good for the people, meaning for those who do not yet have the inclination towards the wisdom of Kabbalah and the secret of creation. But rather they simply want to have it good just like every single person.

S. A person in whom the point of the heart is awakened and he already studies the Wisdom of Kabbalah such actions they are for his own good are they beneficial to him?

R. Of course there is nothing more beneficial to the world than a person studying the wisdom of Kabbalah by that he is correcting the world and fills it with the upper light meaning brings the Creator closer to our world.

S. And this covers external actions like volunteering and so forth?

R. Yes it certainly is more.

9. S. (21:02) It is wondrous how much this part speaks about us at least about me you answered before, my question how much time do you engage in that during the day and here he writes that if you invest not a lot of time and barely a little time for it it degrades everything. How much time in our state do we need to invest in the internality of the Torah drawing the light in light of all the problems that we have today?

R. As much as you are capable, the more the better all in all do not disconnect from your thoughts of it.

S. But there is a feeling that we need to somehow recruit ourselves to it.

R. Of course, of course, yes.

S. How in the ten should we awaken that so that we will always be in that feeling?

R. Talk about it and remind about it, especially Ukraine and especially in iIsrael.

S. We talked about dissemination to Israel. There was a time where we especially disseminated to the people of Israel around the world. We would go to organizations and give workshops, is there a point in that today to disseminate to the people of Israel around the world? or to continue dissemination more generally?

R. No, I think that today where we have the internet we have the possibility to reach each and every person then there is no point in running anywhere or going anywhere or meeting physically with one another, wherever you want to disseminate all of that can be done through the internet. It is much calmer and effective.

S. Through the internet that is clear but the target audience that we turn to, today we have a campus course and I brought dissemination of the message but to specifically target the people of Israel.

R. That can be written what else can be done. You are right and we will continue and read and see what he writes, how he calls upon us to rise, uplift, prepare the desire which the Creator can fill which will be called Shechinah etc.

10. S. (24:00) There is a very strong feeling of an iron wall between the study of the internality of the Torah and the public and he speaks about breaking this Iron Wall what does it mean?

R. Let see maybe he will explain it to us. as we continue.

11. S. (24:35) Is the internality of Israel the intention?

R. Yes.

S. Many of us came to the wisdom of Kabbalah also from pain and sorrow not everyone but right now there's a lot of pain and sorrow outside, how can we tie that to a more inner pain and sorrow?

R. It all depends on how much deeper you go in this connection between you the extent to which you understand the power of the connection, the internal power of connection is actually what leads you to nearing the Creator and attaining the goal.

S. We have the ability to help somewhat the people who do not study the wisdom of Kabbalah to rise in their level of pain?

R. Even somewhat if they know what this will benefit their state multiplied by the millions that are outside of the wisdom of Kabbalah it gives, it will bring forth the results the effects that is our desirable effects.

12. S. (26:25) We send you a lot of hugs and kisses from Latin 7 to everyone and from what we read now you can think that studying from Zohar is the Mitzvah for us for Bnei Baruch?

R. Yes, the book of Zohar is a great Segula, a great remedy.

13. S. (27:08) Is every action that have to do with dissemination and connection should it take a lot of effort before that?

R. No but attention, attention.

Reading Item 70. (27:40) “This is what is written in the Tikkunim [corrections]….”

14. S. (33:38) How can we activate the upper system in the state that the Creator put before us?

R. Our state is a result of our spiritual state and if we want to come closer to one another and to come closer to correction then we influence the upper world and from their forces to descend which bring us closer to one another and then we feel ourselves as being in a world that is close to the Creator.

S. How can we reach our goal practically reach the final correction practically with everything that is happening now?

R. Specifically from the difficult States we come closer to the final correction because they push us towards correction.

15. S. (35:24) So far we spoke about the correction in the ten heart to heart but what is the spirit of the Messiah? What does it mean that it leaves? How come this too disintegration of the connection in the 10?

R. That from us being connected inside the tents then in each and every ten in the relations between us we begin to feel that there is more of a spiritual air, more attraction, more closeness more forces that connects between us.

S. Is this when we connect to the force that what ruling before the breaking of Adam?

R. Yes. certainly but that is not yet now.

S. What does it mean that Shechinah cannot raise itself from the dust because it is very actual it is a part of our prayer that we feel that this is so, what does it mean that she cannot do it herself?

R. It is that the connection between you between us is not appreciated by us such that we can raise it up to the Creator. we do not value the force of the connection between us and therefore that is called that the Divinity Shechinah is in the dust. But if the connection between us we're to feel believe and raise it to higher degrees, upper degrees then we will certainly be in the same degree just as we expect the Shechinah to be.

16. S. (38:11) The words that are written that the spirit of the Messiah leaves my egoistic part says okay this is how the religious people study the Torah without the intention, and because of them the Messiah leaves but somewhere deep down within me something says that maybe it is about you, maybe I am to blame for the spirit of the Messiah leaving?

R. Yes if we do not connect between us at the same time that we are given the possibility to do so, then that light that needs to fill us departs distances and if we go back towards a connection between us then it will he will return and fill us with this upper light.

S. Is the egoistic feeling that relates everything to the religious people being to blame there are some limitations on this to shut our mouth?

R. No we simply don't relate, we read these words as if in a way that they need to be heard and not just heard on the air.

S. We are talking about the ego. Do I need to do something with it or leave it alone?

R. You need to correct your ego and the important thing is connection and nothing else.

17. S. (40:20) Why studying without the right intention has results?

R. He talks about the destruction of the world, how could it be. This is because about the correction of the world either we raise it or we lower it.

18. S. (41:10) The Creator has shown us the states that is so ugly in our connection, in our work. This text talks about the glory of the Creator needs to feel the entire world and it also talks about our mercy is for ourselves, but our mercy has to be for the contentment of the Creator. If we are to bring a great correction to this world this is the time we can do so. How can we pray to bring mercy to the Creator for the contentment of the Creator? Yesterday I looked at the news for the first time and I see the blessing of Israel because I felt compassion. I could not say anything other than a cry for help for humanity and cry for healing for humanity. I even felt that the Creator is hearing our cries for us and has given us the strength to rise above for humanity. How can we use this now to bring mercy, not for ourselves, but to bring contentment to the Creator?

R. That is if we connect and get closer to him that is basically the best possible action we can do. To connect between us and to get closer to him and want him to fulfill us, and to feel that in our hearts the entire place in our common heart of all of us is intended for him.

S. Yesterday you said something that I really felt very overwhelmed by. You said we don't really understand what connection means and I get that as we should pray for the revelation of what connection truly means, and I pray that if we really are given this merit of understanding what connection means for the glory of the Creator to be among us?

R. Connection means that I don't distinguish between my heart and your heart, that it becomes a single heart, a single heart, a single feeling, a single heart.
