1. Rav’s Introduction:

Yes, joy is a very important discernment and understanding if we are on the right path on the right way. If I'm in a group and I'm happy that I'm in it, if I relate to the friends in such a way that it awakens joy in me from my relation to them, with an open heart, with love, with connection, with feeling our group. If each time I feel that I am coming closer to the Creator, sometimes from the left side or from the right side but either way I am moving towards Him so that brings me joy, so it is joy from good deeds. That's where I experience and I also participate in a little bit, so they so then joy of Mitzvot, it's a commandment to come to the Creator and to adhere to Him. So joy is a discernment that is very important in that, a discernment that I am in the right way, in the right form and I am heading towards the goal in the right way and I'm in bestowal and moving towards the Creator, towards my host.

There could be opposite joy, the joy of in order to receive, of feeling myself at the center of creation rather than the group and the Creator within it. But that's already opposite joy now out of these two ends out of the evil inclination, good inclination the two forces that out of creation, out of those two, we can be in joy and therefore when we advance, we should pay attention to whether we are not we are in joy and what gives us joy from what. Because these discernments are very important and if we pay attention to them, develop them, then it will really help us to quickly discern every situation and out of it to determine where we have to go and what we have to come to. The goal has to always be a state that I am in joy in because I am approaching the Creator through the ten as we always say.

Therefore, try in these states to make them more palatable, normally those who are on the path and want to overcome their will to receive each time and they are making efforts, they have difficulty, they feel that they are often under the pressure of development that's laying heavy on them but in that too you in every such state but especially in these states if he connects every state to the goal, there must be joy in him. That by going through the states and as much as possible together with the Creator then out of that he is still in joy because he is doing the work, he is in the work of the Creator and he is moving closer to Him. This matter is very practical through scrutinizing the joy we are directing ourselves as accurately as possible to their true goal. The joy that is revealed in us that we want to come to it's like aiming ourselves, calibrating ourselves to be directed precisely through the group through bestowal to the Creator and that way we are maintaining our course without veering off.

2. S. (06:06) What is the expression of joy you're talking about?

R. Joy in the heart, it fills the heart - it’s a feeling that I'm connected to good deeds and to the real goal. There can be joy from something completely different but that's not in the will to receive, not in connection. It could be the opposite. Kabbalists actually gave us an example that there is joy from being in order to receive, in the aim to receive. Where instead of being in a group of Kabbalists, he is in a group of criminals, so we have to discern it. These things are very extreme and it's actually easy to get these discernments because the examination is from what am I happy, what gives me joy. Is it because I'm in bestowal, because I'm connected to the friends, because I'm heading towards the Creator and I want to be in an act of adhesion in a group with the Creator? Which is called Israel, the Torah and the Creator are one, as a joy that I'm in this every moment, then I'm happy this is the joy of Mitzva, joy of commandment.

S. Can it be all so emotional during down states, maybe the lower states have joy in the heart?

R. It could be but it's not a complete state, certainly not a complete state. I may be still under some calculations that are not very delightful. They'll give me a lot of joy although I am going towards the real goal and towards the Creator but I still can't overcome them, then I still have a level of sadness but I'm still connected to the goal and this gives me joy. But that's an intermediary state.

3. S. (08:43) Can we say that when serving a friend becomes a reward that the result of that is joy for the Creator?

R. That too is possible. Joy, it says, is a result of good deeds and if I submit myself, yield before the friends and before the Creator in that I feel joy yes. We will learn it, there are several disturbances here, you're right.

4. S. (09:35) In this past week we've been reading a lot of Rabash articles and it's giving us a great deal of joy, unites us into one heart and to accept everything that Rabash writes to do the right thing in the ten?

R. Yes, for sure this influences you and good deeds, meeting the right connection between you and you should continue with this, it should have awakened joy. Joy from a good deed, from reading each day the words of Rabash and from this you direct your individual soul and other souls together in a ten to be more together and closer to the revelation of the Creator between you.

5. S. (10:49) Joy we’re talking about is a sensation outside of me or something born inside of me?

R. Joy comes from within a person who is in desires that are directed correctly towards the right goal, to some extent and as a result of it. In other words, as a result of being in connection with the goal, that connection awakens the feeling of joy in me, it's a result.

S. This is a feeling of the light, something in me?

R. No, it's not a feeling of light as yet there's still no actual similarity with the Creator which brings us a sensation of the light, it's a feeling that we are to some extent directed or connected to Him. But still we haven't achieved the revelation that joy is revealed in a different way, in a greater, more real, with all the discernments we have created.

6. S. (12:32) What is it about joy that without which one cannot advance in the world?

R. What is it about joy? If I don't feel joy, I'm not directed towards the right goal, I'm not aimed at the Creator, at the ten and therefore all of my efforts, they disappear, they just go down the drain. Joy is a result of good deeds where I directed myself towards the right goal, toward the Creator and it has to make me feel joy. Joy is a test. It's like tuning the radio where something else a little more, a little more, little more, you focus your vision or hearing on something and if you're aiming towards it exactly you perceive these things, you grasp them in joy. For example, if you connect to the group and your connection to the group gives you the connection of joy, it is a sign that you really have connected to the ten.

7. S. (14:09) You say does it mean that to approach the work without joy is a transgression?

R. It's not a transgression or a crime, it's just a discernment, a very important discernment. I have to come to such a connection with the friends and the Creator and the more I connect to them, the joy should fill me up more and more. It's a result of good deeds and a discernment that I'm in the right direction. It's something very important. It's a very important observation to diagnose that I am in the right way, in the right direction, if I'm not happy, if I'm not in joy my direction is still off, I'm still in my will to receive. I'm still not quite directed correctly and I don't quite discern the goal, the group still doesn't completely seem to me like a spiritual place and so on, in other words, it's very important for me to be directed towards the spiritual goal in such a way that it will give me the joy of a commandment. What is the joy of a commandment? It is a joy that to get to, if I constantly go towards acquiring the quality of bestowal and if I feel that I am rising more and more above myself and I want to be connected to the friends and to lose myself there altogether, not feel myself but feel that I am still only them to feel only them as Rabash writes, that there is nothing, nothing but the friends. Then if I am directing myself towards this and this gives me joy then my direction is correct, okay.

8. S. (16:50) It's joy is really felt in the work in the ten when you will read from Rabash or from the daily lesson. The question is do we need to put some kind of intention on the joy, some kind of screen, some kind of direction or just let it flow through us?

R. We have to the extent that I'm included in the ten and it doesn't matter which ten in other words, which degree the ten is in, if I'm included in it then to some extent I let go of my ego, of my will to receive and I'm included in it and to that extent I begin to feel the Creator that is present. It's still not clear to me that it's really the Creator but this already gives me joy. It’s a law, a spiritual law. For this reason, in other words, it's the right discernment to be that I am directed towards the goal whether it's an egoistic goal or an altruistic goal, in order to receive or in order to bestow but it always gives me joy. Just as a felon is happy when he found a key that can open up a safe so he can rob it, so likewise I am happy that I have found a key with which to open my heart and let all of humanity into it, the whole world.

9. S. (19:06) About what you're saying now the struggle with my ego, it should evoke joy in me and that I should also share with the friends but I'm not sharing what am I sharing with the friends, my feelings of struggle with egoism, my success, what?

R. There are many discernments on our path. The important thing is that you're directed towards connection with the group and with the Creator. That's the bottom line. The fact that you are struggling now, I don't recommend it. I don't recommend being in any struggle. I don't recommend breaking your will to receive also not to hate the will to receive, just let it go, it's stronger than us, it's better for us to connect among us and bestow upon each other good things, connection warmth, love and we will help each other. In that way we will come out of our egos. It's better than to fight against it, it is stronger, more cunning and more shrewd and we are powerless against it, we need only to connect among us and ask the Creator to be revealed between us. That the Creator will finish for us, I begin the act when I connect to the friends and invite the Creator and He finishes this fight with the ego and takes us and elevates us to the next degree above the ego and that's how we're saved and likewise each time from degree to degree. This is called rising on the wings of eagles.

10. S. (21:22) What is the correct way of expressing the observation of joy?

R. What is the right way to express it, a discernment of joy? It is when I with my heart and soul, with the friends, the Creator together and I see that the whole world should also come to it. By the way, look at the state that we’re in all over the world, how from day-to-day this situation is deteriorating, how it becomes more and more helpless. We have to think, how we wake up. How we try to build ourselves correctly between us and with the Creator in order to be like a life buoy to the whole world and the Creator wants us to be this way. He wants this to be that group of trailblazers towards Him and following us, comes the world, so we have to be in joy in this action that we have to take upon ourselves out of this whole direction and the message that we have to bring to the world and we at the same time have to understand that the world shouldn't continue to suffer because every moment when we are still unable to pull the world after us, it is our problem. It is our problem that we, by that, actually delays if there is any bad in reality, even the smallest bad we, out of the love, that should stem from us, through all of humanity should come to them in every way and with every effort, we should try to pull them out, to save them from the situation they are in and not wait until they suffer so much that they will have no choice to turn to us and ask. It won’t happen because they don't see the light at the end of the tunnel and therefore we have to try to think how we bring them away to be happy in the bad state that they are in because if we direct them towards the spiritual goal then it turns out that the goal will shine on them, it will pull them in short and everything depends on us.

S. How do we conduct a test of joy on the group?

R. You can talk about it and the more you do, by all means, if everyone in the group is happy because of you all connected equally. Not that someone's more and someone's is less but to what extent you are feeling that you are all equal and there aren't in the group anyone who is dominating or managing or something but everyone are divided according to the roster and Shatz and the group is connected in such a way that being incorporated in the group, each one checks several times a day making sure that being incorporated in the group that when he does it evokes and in joy that the result of being incorporated in joy and when I feel the friends as Baal HaSulam writes especially in his letters, when I remember the friend my feet want to dance and my heart rejoices. So that gives you joy. It is a joy that comes by, I'll tell you a joy is an internal state of the vessel of Adam HaRishon and to the extent that we connect to this vessel and scrutinize its influence on us, we feel it. The joy comes from there, this is why it's called the joy comes from good deeds from connection, clear?

11. S. (27:26) So how is the joy of Mitzvah related to playing the game of the higher states or is this joy not related to a game or is this just the real reality?

R. You can connect anything to the feeling of joy. Also when you act out a high degree in the group or even though you're not connected so much, you act out as if you are connected. Where each one supports the others, annuls oneself before the other. All those activities of course they can come together with the joy and you're happy that you can do them together and each one who does them sets a good example to the others. All this there's really nothing new about this but today we are talking about it because it is our way to examine, to scrutinize every element in reality each day. So what we want to explain to ourselves today is that joy is very important, it's a very important criterion in scrutinizing our direction in spirituality. That if I'm directed exactly at the goal, in other words, I don't see the goal, I'm like a ship at sea or like a plane in the air very far, I don't know where the goal is but I have a radar or something and that way I aim myself towards the goal. This is what happens to us if I through my good deeds, through my connection with others, through my subjugation towards others by connecting with everyone and towards the goal, it depends on whether the goal is near to us or farther from us that we're aiming for but if I'm in connection and when I'm in the effort to connect, when I am in a state of joy in this, it means I am aiming correctly towards the goal.

12. S. (30:06) It seems that we feel the joy in us as closer even than love, that we are acting when we show the friends the joy from the connection with them? Do we act when we show the friends the joy from the connection between us?

R. When we show the friends that we are happy by this, we actually awaken them towards the same thing, yes. Friends who aren't still aren't directed in that direction and can't appreciate it, they can't be happy. What happens to them is the opposite and it annoys them, they look at it and it annoys them, it repels them, it repels them that we are happy from advancing in the right way, for it's the right goal but that too is good because then they understand that they are not, at that moment, they're not organized, arranged correctly towards the goal, set up correctly towards the goal.

13. S. (32:05) I wanted to be more precise. I found a key in my heart in order to let the world and friends in through or the key to the friends hearts?

R. I don't really want to call it a key. I don't want to use your discernment because they're still not real but it's from my heart, I use discernments from my heart and it's still not that connected to the hearts of the friends to the point that we can begin to work with a common heart. That will come in the next stage.

14. S. (33:02) What relation have we between fear and joy in the spiritual work?

R. They support one another to the extent that I am in fear I can thereby increase the joy.

15. S. (33:39) If I see what's happening in the world and together with that I understand that I have to go aim, say and write, I have to do it but together with that I don't do it for many reasons, should I reach joy from that state as well?

R. We have to raise ourselves to a state of joy from good deeds from fighting for connection. When I fight for connection, I achieve it or even if I don't achieve it which is why I'm exerting towards connection, this in itself should give me joy, that's it, write it down in front of you and don't be confused.

16. S. (34:43) Friend is asking what is the power of joy?

R. It is the Upper light that shines because we are directed correctly towards the goal.

17. S. (35:19) Is joy a result of the spiritual goal or can it be the motive retaining spirituality?
R. It's only the result, joy is the result of good deeds, for the ego it is a result of bad deeds, but we are talking about those who want adhesion.

18. S. (35:54) In applying the criterion for joy, it seems like there should always be a question. Well what happens in the current moment in the question is how to measure correctly what's happening in the current moment relative to our joy?

R. The measuring is only in the level of the connection between us as one man with one heart.

19. S. (36:32) It seems to me that joy is an expression of the revelation of the Creator. So should I hold myself back or let this joy erupt, is it correct? I don't know how to conduct myself when I feel it?

R. We have to try to continue the same work that gives us joy. The joy is only a sign that we are advancing correctly towards connection I'm saying again it's not joy that comes like that, it stems from the fact that we are going towards correction, towards annulment for a connection with the Creator and for this reason the more we try to develop joy out of the development of the connection between us out of our connection with the Creator. It's joy that is a result, not the joy itself but it's the result of an act of connection so when we come to correct the vessel of Adam HaRishon, all the souls, all the created beings together. From this we should get joy and the joy should be as keen, acute, scrutinized as possible and the more it contains within it all created beings, all the forces, all the incidents and events when we can connect all of them together more and more to the same direction. They come from one source and we are directed through all those events incidents towards that same source, towards the Creator.

20. S. (38:36) My question is when I read those quotes from Rabash, I feel with a sense of joy. Is it correct to say that the joy is an expression of the light that fills the vessel?

R. Yes but it's not light that fills the Kli its surrounding light.

21. S. (39:13) How come love in joy is concealed and not revealed in spirituality?

R. Not revealed in spirituality, you're not in spirituality that's why. You say spirituality is filled with love, joy, warmth, connection, how can you say that? Love is the filling of spirituality, we say love, we shall love your neighbor as yourself, it's the real powerful connection that should give us joy.

22. S. (40:21) Can there be a joy that does not hold the Kli of Adam Harishon?

R. Yes, opposite joy, joy from bad deeds. If I follow my ego, then because I follow my ego, it gives me joy. There are two ways to be in joy either by following my will to receive or following my desire to bestow and that's it. I can follow only on the level of this world, I can follow the will to receive on the level of this world and from this derive joy and we don't take that into account. We rather have spiritual development, we want to advance towards the Creator, so we should feel joy from it, performing acts of bestowal, acts of connection to be more accurate.

23. S. (41:38) Is there a difference between joy, pleasure and bliss according to the topic of the lesson?

R. I don't know, this is intellectual questions, right questions.

24. S. (42:06) Is joy a reward so we will advance automatically on the path?

R. No, it comes as a result but it is not the reward it is a result, joy is a result of connection.

25. S. (42:22) Do we have joy from annulment, does annulment bring joy?

R. Annulment that is on the way towards the goal brings joy, you feel it among yourselves, you try to feel it whether or not it brings you joy if you're not connected to the goal then annulment will not bring you joy.

26. S. (42:51) How can you be in joy when the whole world is in chaos and suffering?

R. Because we understand that this is how it's revealed from the purpose of creation, that without these discernments of suffering and chaos it is impossible to reach all of humanity and only through them, to the same goal. We, with our efforts can mitigate, sweeten the way to a great extent. It all depends on our emergence to the general public so let's connect in our ten as much as possible, as quickly as possible because we can't go out to the public without connecting in tens, we can circulate information but to really bestow upon the general public, we can do that only out of the state when we are connected in the tens then from within the tens we are directed correctly towards a way to build out of them bigger tens.

27. S. (44:11) Can joy stem from making fewer efforts?

R. That's bad joy, egoistic joy.

28. S. (44:32) We also meet several times a day and read Rabash or hear an excerpt from the lesson some of those meetings end with joy some don't. Can that be an indication for us at the level of connection?

R. We must not conclude a meeting unless it is in joy.

S. Customarily we finish with a song and it evokes joy in the ten.

R. Because it's a group activity.

S. Meaning if we're happy as a ten and it's a good connection?

R. Yes, of course.

S. I remember a friend said it's very difficult to connect to the ten meetings, but now it's pleasant now we don't always connect to the Creator or goal, we meet and we feel good together, how to relate to that?

R. Try to connect it to the goal because otherwise you're in the seat of jokers.

S. Always, like that if we don't bring the Creator in, it’s the seat of the scornful, always talk about the connection between us?

R. It's the seat of joker's, it's a group of criminals, felons, idle people, bums but not a group of attaining Kabbalists, we're building a connection in order to receive within the connection the Upper force.

S. How to be aware of that, be more precise?

R. You have to be in constant preparation for it. What do you mean how can you be vigilant about it, you have to be in this all of the time. Are you thinking about it?

S. It's very tricky, it's very slippery.

R. Don't explain things to me, I'm not going to heal you each and every day, you already know these things, no point in asking, you have to implement.

S. I want to awaken my friend’s joy as a result of good deeds, how can I awaken the friends to joy or awaken joy in them?

R. First of all you have to show them what gives you joy, that you are in joy and that joy is from connection and you have to awaken the connection between them and tell them how good it is for you when you remember when you reveal connection and so on that's how it is, you have to rejoice in the friends because you're happy.

S. We spoke about acting so we have to act towards the friends in a very specific way according to their personality, how do I know what really makes the friends happy, the heart of each friend and creates the general awakening in the ten?

R. I can't tell you, you have to feel it, there's none so wise as the experienced.

29. S. (48:25) We read the articles of Rabash three times a day for half an hour and I don't feel that it's contributing to the connection between us and it's pretty disparaging. Is there something you recommend?

R. Read Rabash twice a day and talk about the lesson twice a day, do something that will help you. Can I strengthen the connection in the ten if the articles of Rabash don't strengthen? The articles, the connection in the ten, it's a sign you're not reading together. You're not reading together, you have to be directed in the preparation to be one heart, you have to come to the meeting of the ten so that by reading Rabash you connect even more in your heart and you will feel in your heart and as a result you will feel joy greater and greater while reading the articles. You have to work on it, all exerting the heart.

30. S. (49:42) What does it mean that you feel joy from the connection with the friends and yet you can't show it to the friends?

R. You must, Rabash writes about it, you have to show them that you're a zero, you have to bring them joy that you're greater than them, that's a game. How to do it as a game, that's what you have to show them. There's nothing greater, there are no greater moments when you connect with them and you in joy with them and even more that if you can connect, have a gathering, a meal, if you can come closer to one another a little bit this is even better.

31. S. (50:58) Is joy only when we have desire to bestow in the group? Also we are in joy because our ego cannot enjoy our work in the group towards bestowal?

R. That's exactly what we want, we want to reach such joy that emanates from the connection between us from bestowal, from good deeds as Rabash writes when I think about the friends and I feel joy, it fills my heart, my heart melts from feeling their concern from me, their care. I'm also like that towards each and every one. I wish to be connected with everyone in order to melt our hearts, to melt the heart of each and every friend. I want them to feel it, I want to feel their attitude towards me and we would work so that each one will be in the heart of each friend, each inside and all of us together eventually are mixed up until we have one heart for everyone and the Creator is revealed in this heart like a vessel.

S. To feel the work and bestowal does it mean that we should be happy as well because at least it's not for myself?

R. At least from the fact that you're physically, mechanically, advancing towards it, you should be happy about that, you should awaken that joy artificially and try to have this joy come from within, from within you.

32. S. (53:31) Should I feel joy or is it enough to act it out in front of the friends?

R. I need to feel the joy in practice to such a degree that it will fill me and I have nowhere to contain it. It fills everything, I don't feel anything, only the joy I get from the group, truthfully and it depends on the annulment before them.

33. S. (54:18) Even if I don't feel joy I have to nevertheless act it out?

R. You have to act it out, you have to do it.

34. S. (54:35) Can we have as a result of the left side when we are in lo Lishma?

R. The joy of being loLishma, it can be there but not from negation but rather from a positive thing, meaning that we're on the path to Lishma, even though we are still in lo Lishma, joy is always a result of the good state, when appreciate it, when I respect it, that's why it came to me.

35. S. (55:30) It's as if the left line, so what is the joy that's created, there's no happier state in a person's world than when he is despaired of his own strength, how do you get to this joy?

R. This is the kind of joy that comes for the most despaired state, he remembers that he has a connection with the Creator. He breaks into it as the only source of salvation of help, or it comes as a result of the struggle with his ego or it comes as a result of the struggle to look for forces of bestowal in order to connect to the other, to help the other it depends on his degree. This is not the joy of a Mitzvah, it's a joy of grabbing hold of of his life preserver

36. S. (56:56) What is the right demand to the Creator to see my friends always in joy?

R. The request to the Creator is that what we wish to be connected in order to build out of our connection, the right place for His revelation so that in His revelation in us, He rejoices, He is delighted and that's why we need our effort and connection. Our effort is in order to construct a place for Him, if we do it only for that for this sake then we have joy from the effort and from moving towards the goal.

37. S. (58:00) It feels like joy is the cause of good deeds is sort of a reward, is there a sort of a flaw in that, how should I relate to this?

R. I treat joy as a discernment on the path, a milestone, a form of measuring on the path. If I'm happy about being with the friends then this is truly joy, it is the result of good deeds, we're connected, were making efforts to connect with the Creator, the Creator wants to help us on our connection and that is why He adds some illumination of His own and this is the joy, the joy comes from illumination from above. That's why we're very happy that the Creator is happy with us.

38. R. It's very important if the group can show how much it cares about each and every one. It warms the heart how each and every friend when he feels that his friends are thinking of them.

39. S. (01:02:40) Excerpt from Letter number 8 from Rabash we read it in the most, most emotional moments in the meetings & conferences, what is this state that Rabash is describing?

R. Through the influence of their connection he loses his feeling of self and he begins to feel himself existing in the friends and he feels all of them together, as it's written one man and one heart. By that he comes to a state where he begins to feel the spiritual vessel where there are no individuals in the 10 rather the 10 becomes Adam. For the first time they come to the feeling of the spiritual unit where at 10 is like one single person in spirituality and they feel that they exist in spirituality and what they feel inside the ten it's already the feeling of the spiritual world, the Upper light that holds them together, connects them together and to some extent fills them.

S. How does he come to that state, is it a prayer?

R. Through the effort to be inside the friends, out of the effort to be together, try it, try it, it's all right before us, it's the first thing we have to attain.

S. In this excerpt of Rabash there are stages he described in the beginning the self, the “I” is cancelled and then there's no “I”, only the friends?

R. You'll begin when you start to realize it, to implement it, you will feel it before you. The wisdom of Kabbalah is the more you read, you read so much it all disappears but the moment you begin to realize then you discover that this is what needs to be done along the way.

40. S. (01:05:01) Does the illumination of surrounding light from afar give us something to look forward to and become the source of joy in the state of lowliness?

R. Yes, yes, you are correct, there's room for that as well.

41. R. Meaning we have to be in joy in order to discover the Creator who dwells within us on one hand, on the other hand we have to have a deficiency in order to discover the Creator so that he will dwell in us, how can the joy go hand-in-hand a deficiency? It's because the deficiencies for the reception of the guests and joy is from going to receive, to welcome the guests. So the two go hand-in-hand is that clear?

41A. WSQ: How do we discover joy from our connection and we're going to welcome the Creator among us and it goes hand-in-hand with the great deficiency that will be revealed in us, how do we connect in this way. Divinity is present only in a whole place, how can it be a whole place if the Creator is missing, lacking there. There has to be joy but of what, of my emptiness? R. It's a result when you have a vessel of bestowal then reason appears, the reason of the Upper one, you raise yourself from one degree to the other by connecting to others. 43. S. (01:11:48) How do we discern correctly the desires of the friends in order to connect to them?

R. If you're not close to them you won't feel their desires. If you are you will, so make all the efforts to feel close to them.

R. Because joy is preparation that you have done the right action. R. You will try and you will get there through such efforts when you connect several times a day and you study and you speak, you read and you hear. You can't come to a spiritual goal only through the connection within you, the spiritual goal, the Creator is revealed only in the connection between you. You connect as one vessel, as one man in one heart and out of that you discover a state where the Creator is revealed. There is no choice you must get to it, so constantly talk about it and awaken joy from being in this work as each one awakens the other and this way to awaken the Creator who adds into your joy His light and his power until He is revealed as a spiritual vessel, a different vessel than the one the kabbalists would discover throughout the generations because we are part of the last generation. On the one hand it's not so simple for us it is more difficult to reveal this vessel because it is a vessel that is related to the end of correction even the smallest vessel that we reveal today is connected in such a way of typical characteristic of the end of correction. R. R. Not only that but through that we will find out, through the connection and the joy we come to new discernments.

S. How do we distinguish about the joy, because there are all kinds of joy we haven't come to the spiritual joy?

R. First of all I have my normal life, family, work, and other that there is a group being in the group and feeling the connection with them, this fills me with joy, with confidence and awakening out of integration and out of that, from all that, I determine my spiritual development. In the group I now scrutinized things understanding if I advance correctly I have to feel each time joy among the friends, it is simply a feeling in the heart that comes from being in the connection between us and to some extent we are equivalent to the Upper light, the developing this mutual bestowal I wasn't connected with them if not for this spiritual goal. The spiritual goal obligates us to be together, we rise above our ego, above each and every one's ego, and we choose these friends and the friends chose me, as Rabash writes, specifically in the connection between us we come to the spiritual goal. It is worthwhile for us to advance in this way.

S. Rabash recommends to always add high spirits to the friends?

R. Right.

S. Is there a connection between the high spirits that we add and the joy or are they two different things?

R. I don't see them as different, there can be high spirits that bring actual joy but it adds a force of connection, a force of love and other forces. Because joy is a result of what we do by ourselves down below and from that we received the inspiration from above, this is what joy is. Joy is the result of good deeds that come from the Creator to the created beings in order to encourage them, to sustain and connect them, to give them additional forces to overcome their will to receive.

R. Gradually it will be revealed more because this goes with us for the rest of the path, but what I want in this specific lesson is to aim you and the important thing. This discernment, this calibration where I calibrate myself toward the goal on the condition that I, the group and the Creator are connected in my eyes to the goal and as a result of that I feel myself enjoy.

49. S. (01:23:30) Can the joy be a contradiction to the feeling of shame when the person feels as a receiver and is there a boundary as to how much shame versus how much joy?

R. There could be a connection because shame is a result of feeling the will to receive and joy is a result of integrating in the will to bestow.

S. How is it felt in the group?

R. I can't say you should work on it and feel it, you can't measure that. Try it, it all comes to a person as the result of his efforts.

50. S. Does being in joy generate envy in the group?

R. It can be envy and it can even be rejection, it depends on the state of the person, the individual if I see joy in the 10 I might suddenly be provoked to criticize them, why are they happy and as a result of what. Creator takes us through various discernments as we see with the students of Rabbi Shimon who wanted to kill one another, what kind of joy can actually exist there? R. That is true but it is clear to us that thanking the Creator for everything he has done for us is the beginning of the connection with Him, that is correct and there is nothing to add here as it is truly so. The truth is we should take it as a subject, gratitude and to see how we come to that, how we organize gratitude, how we bring ourselves to that, and what to be thankful about. To be thankful on our own or as a group? We will work on it, you are correct.

52. S. (01:29:42) In a state that isn't happiness or is opposite to it, how do we use the means in this work world to invert our state, I remember how you said Rabash started dancing in the room or Kabbalists paid musicians to play for him?

R. By paying the musicians, by looking for all kinds of means, but you have a 10 and you have nothing besides that so you are looking for external discernments. Suppose you can't connect to your 10 but if you do have a 10 and you connect a few times a day. You must forcefully bring yourself, maybe to prepare an article for them or something, you should try to take upon yourself all kinds of duties for the 10 and that is how you can advance, start serving them and you will see how instead of your efforts how much strength you get from them.

It all comes from the Creator, there's none else besides Him, that's why I'm happy about it already. Below that level, they have only in the bodies and in the corporeality, they have the light in the still, vegetative and animate, there they have light. In the spiritual degree there is the smallest light that only lets them sleep but they are in the degrees of still, vegetative and animate, if a person has no rest, that he wants to reach the revelation of spirituality, the Creator, this is considered to be that the Creator is awakening him increasingly more. This should bring him joy already.
