Part 1 Rabash. Record 137. The Lack Is the Kli [Vessel]

Hello everyone, we are reading from the book of Rabash articles, volume 3, article number 137, The Lack is the Kli. You can find the study materials on Sviva Tova and the Arvut system and also can send questions through the website.

Reading Article: (00:41) The Lack is the Kli

The lack is the most important, and it is called a Kli [vessel] to receive the filling. The amount of the filling is measured by the size of the lack.

It follows that if there is the exact same filling, not more and not less, yet one enjoys the filling and is delighted and happy and cannot find words to express his joy, while the other feels that he has no pleasure whatsoever with which to sustain his soul, and sometimes feels as though he is fed up with life itself because he does not feel any purpose in his life.

For example, a healthy man, whose body is well, and all his organs are healthy and well, yearns to receive delight and pleasure so he will have something with which to sustain his soul with some pleasure, but he does not succeed.

At the same time, another person is suffering from some illness and the doctors decided that he needs an operation, but they do not know if the operation will succeed, and his very life is in danger. He has seen several experts, but they did not make any promises that he will be able to go on living.

And then, a wise man came and gave him a cure that helped him. Later, when he came to the doctors to do tests for his illness, they determined that he was completely well and there was nothing wrong with him. Clearly, at that time he is delighted and cannot say that he has nothing from which to derive vitality. Instead, his joy is immense.

At the same time, the first one, although he is healthy, he cannot receive vitality from his health because he does not have a Kli of lack of health. Hence, this filling gives him no vitality.

The question is, Is the filling that delights him true or is it imaginary?

Question (KabU 14): (04:00) How can the healthy man ask for a correct pleasure to sustain his soul?

M. Laitman: If he doesn't have any real reason, then he can't revive his soul. He has nothing to revitalize his soul with, meaning he is healthy; he has no deficiencies.

Hence, he first needs to see his lack, whether he truly has it, whether he is in grave danger  with his health, or with his life. And accordingly, he can ask, and his request will be justified. Whereas, if he doesn't have a justified request, then how can he ask if he doesn't have a deficiency?

Student: How can the ill man meet the wise man who can give the cure?

M. Laitman: The ill man does not know precisely what virtue he needs. He needs to search amongst all the wise men, who has this virtue that fits his illness. That's it. That's why it's an open matter. This is the main matter in our life, that we don't know by which expert we can heal ourselves.

Student: And how does feel lack when the joy is immense in the healed man?

M. Laitman: A person who is being healed doesn't have a deficiency, and therefore doesn't need the experts or the virtues. Therefore, only according to the problems a person feels, where he truly has a deficiency. That's how he seeks the experts and is healed by them, and then can thank the Creator for helping him.

Question (Women MAK): (07:33) What is the spiritual true spiritual pleasure that the Creator can receive from us?

M. Laitman: It's a pleasure from us being connected together, bound to one another, helping one another mutually, to rise from our problems to these common problems that are such that we need to heal everyone. So, in such a case, we invite the Creator to our help, and the Creator helps. Our problem is mostly in revealing our true reason for our sufferings, and to ask the Creator to heal us from that, to resolve us from it.

Student: What is the lack that gives birth to this pleasure?

M. Laitman: The pleasure from what?

Student: The true spiritual pleasure. What kind of deficiency draws it?

M. Laitman: For me to be healthy.

Student: What is the faith at times that we feel the pain that I cannot come to a bestowal towards the Creator, and only He does this?

M. Laitman: It's a special quality, special faith in a person in that he doesn't yearn for healing to begin with, but rather to understand the root of the illness, the reason why, for what. And then, specifically, he finds the method of love.

Student: Does it always come out from my lack of security? Why does the Creator need it?

M. Laitman: So that a person will find the Creator as the reason for all that's happening to him.

Student: Is that intense pain the lack, the deficiency?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And without my request, it cannot happen?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: Is it simply that I cannot ask, or the snake does not let me?

M. Laitman: I can't ask because this request is not given to me. You're calling it a snake, so let it be a snake. But it's my ego that's not enabling me to do so.

Student: So, what should I do? That intensity of my lack of desire to be in Kabbalah, in receiving or bestowing, play any role in my prayer, and in my answers?

M. Laitman: The intensity of the request, which depends on the recognition of the cause of my situation that's coming from the Creator, because everything comes from the Creator. Therefore, I need to ask Him to come closer to Him in order to reveal to myself the true essence of all that exists. And in such a case, I will already be able to advance towards healing.

Question (Women MAK 98): (12:23) In the article it turns out that we have most of the strength when we don't have any strength, and then we pray. It turns out that the more the Creator is giving us sorrow, He makes us feel a bigger deficiency. Can we somehow attach the Ten to my deficiency, and how to do it correctly?

M. Laitman: If we're connected to one another, connected in the Ten as much as possible, and then we start talking about our state, as a result, we reach the recognition of the cause of our state, why we're together, why we're connected, why we can't be more connected than now. What's the reason for the sickness and our spiritual suffering? And in such a way, we come to a state in which we need to turn to the Creator, and to ask Him for healing.

Student: And if the person receives a private state, a great illness, can it be helped by the spiritual path? If a person physically suffers from an illness, is this help from above, or it has nothing to do with it?

M. Laitman: Of course it is help. After all, he could have been sick and not feel that he's sick and to die and not feel that he's about to die. Therefore, all those feelings that the Creator evokes in a person—pain, illness, healing, all of that—are in order to help a person find the healthy state in him.

Question (Hadera 1): (14:45) There is a person who walks on the path to reach the Creator, and then he receives the acknowledgment of the evil, and it's like a deficiency that gives him strength to keep on going on the path. And there is a person that does not have the acknowledgment of evil, but he's on the path because he fears that if he's not going to walk on this path, he will receive blows and disturbances. Can we say that this is another type of deficiency, like acknowledgment of the evil? How does a person who did not reach the acknowledgment of evil, and not through fear, acquire this deficiency of acknowledgment of evil?

M. Laitman: Only in working with his friends on the filling of the deficiency, and then it will be clarified for him that his deficiency is still not whole, and he can suffice with what he already has. The deficiency does not yet give him the ability to come closer to the true cause, and that's what he's missing.

Question (Women MAK 45): (16:38) How do I work correctly with pain, that I feel that I cannot do anything, and the pain is so great that I simply don't have any strength to do anything.

M. Laitman: There are such states in which there's a state of pain, and they're so powerful that a person cannot rise above them in the correct appeal to the Creator. At that point, there's nothing you can do. You need to gradually, slowly, slowly change yourself and aspire for a different feeling of the Creator, of what He's doing with you, until that state where you will be able to ask from Him and correct.

Question (Women Spain): (18:20) Someone who lost her daughter. What type of correction is it for someone on the path?

M. Laitman: He needs to raise his deficiency through the friends to the Creator with the request for the Creator to fill for him his deficiency, his Kli, the necessity of feeling that one has nevertheless towards the daughter, and that she didn't disappear from reality, but rather that she exists nevertheless in connection with Him.

Question (Women Piter): (19:34) Why is the fulfilling that brings joy actually imaginary and not real? At the end of the article, it says: “The question is, is the filling that delights him true or is it imaginary?”

M. Laitman: Let's say.

Student: Why is it imaginary and not true? Is only the deficiency real?

M. Laitman: The real deficiency is precisely what we need to fill, correct, and raise in return to the Creator. If we don't have such a deficiency, then we have no reason to turn to the Creator. There's nothing to do. That's why he says that there's a person who's sick, there's a person who's healthy, and there's a person who doesn't feel that he's sick. There are all kinds of possibilities, variations of this. The main thing for us is to attain the state in which we feel our illness, and we're asking from the Creator for its correction.

Question (Moscow 4): (22:06) The everyday illness. You go to the doctor, the doctor gives you a prescription, you take it, and it doesn't help you. I understand that the condition is uncomfortable, that he is the reason for the everyday check with the Creator, maybe to ask from the Creator in a different way to connect to him, and the illness will disappear. I understand that this is actually the Creator is inviting me to chat with him, and I do not do enough. What should I do between the corporal resolve to the Creator that I do not want to lose that?

M. Laitman: Constantly ask for more closeness to the Creator, from which you'll start to understand what's necessary for you.

Student: So, in any case, the physiology will add to it, to the conversation with the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes, that's precisely what's needed.

Question (Women French): (23:48) After he receives healing, does the ill person still feel deficiency, that there are others who are still ill and didn't meet the wise man, or he needs to be happy with his path, his condition?

M. Laitman: No, a person who wants to come closer to the Creator, seeks reasons to turn to the Creator, either his reason or the reason of his friend, but he must find these reasons, and to turn to the Creator with a request for the Creator to correct.

Question (Women Italy): (24:57) What is right cure, the true feeling in the Kli that  are necessary to overcome and bring the light?

M. Laitman: Whereas a person feels where he can truly find the real remedy, and then with that feeling, with that recognition, he turns to the Creator and enters into contact with Him in receiving the remedy.

Question (Women MAK 88): (26:03) What is imaginary if everything I see is my internal feeling?

M. Laitman: What does it matter if it's imagination or feeling? It's what you feel from the Creator. You need to look at what you're feeling, whether it was given to you as a real connection with the Creator, a correct one, or not. And if not, ask Him for the change of that connection.

Question (Women Hebrew 2): (26:47) What does a person do if he's lacking deficiency? How does he add more deficiency?

M. Laitman: You should deepen in it, in what's missing, from where it's missing. Who can supply that feeling for him? How will he know exactly what the illness is? It's like we're going to doctors, and the doctors say, look, you don't feel well because you have this, this, and this. And then we search by which expert we can find the remedy, the medicine that will calm our deficiency.

Student: If a person is troubled with many everyday things, and he's trying to find spiritual deficiency, can he turn to the Creator and ask for an explanation, or will He give him something the opposite, that He will give him spiritual deficiencies?

M. Laitman: Yes, of course, yes. A person can turn to the Creator with every deficiency that he feels, to correct the deficiency, to fill the deficiency, to change it. A person can do all of that, perform these actions with a deficiency, especially in order to come closer to the Creator, and to come into contact with Him.

Question (Women MAK 70): (29:04) In the article it says that the deficiency is the vessel. If a person is healthy, he does not need deficiency? A corrected person does not need a vessel?

M. Laitman: If a person is corrected, he doesn't need a Kli. He can be in a good connection with the Creator, but not out of a deficiency.

Student: When a person comes to a physical congress, and after the congress he always becomes sick, does it have anything to do with the physical body, or the spiritual advancement?

M. Laitman: It could be, but because a person enters a special environment where he is influenced by all kinds of forces, whose bestowal upon him is such that he is not yet capable of carrying before exiting the boundaries of health, that's why many complain that after conventions they feel themselves somewhat as if they have fallen from the regular framework of their life.

But it's not because something bad is happening with them, but specifically because they are receiving the bestowal of reward for their actions, a reward for yearning to come closer to friends, to other friends, and that's why they are shaken from one side to another, to different sides, but it's not harmful. On the contrary, this is healing, because from the wisdom of Kabbalah we learn that every healing is connected to even more sensitivity towards the illness.

Question (Women MAK 25): (31:44) If a person feels that he is sick, but he doesn't quite know what's the problem, should he analyze his condition or approach the Creator without trying to scrutinize his condition?

M. Laitman: No, that's not correct. First you need to scrutinize why it's happening, what is his problem from, and then you'll see how he needs to resolve this problem, either through coming closer to the Creator, or by greater effort in study, or through the connection in the group, and in such a way he will be able to heal himself.

Student: How can we analyze for what the illness has been given?

M. Laitman: For what reason, yes.

Question (Women MAK 56): (32:59) When a person starts to feel his illness, when he reveals his ego, or when the Creator rewards him with deficiency for connection with him, when does he start to feel the illness?

M. Laitman: When he doesn't feel his state for a serious reason.

Student: It's when the ego is being revealed in the whole?

M. Laitman: Yes, when there's such a serious reason, and he doesn't feel.

Question (Kyiv): (34:04) How do we raise a deficiency in the Ten to the Creator through the friends? What are the practical mechanics of this action?

M. Laitman: The thing is that I can't be connected to the Creator individually, separately, in a private manner. I need to come to a connection with Him through the group, through my friends. That's why, only through the connection with the friends we eventually come to a state in which we turn to the Creator, and He's capable through those states of ours with the friends to answer us.

Student: In our world, when you get diagnosed with the contact with the Creator and the revelation of the evil inclination, is that a connection with the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes. Yes. The revealing of the evil inclination is already a step towards the connection with the Creator.

Question (Women Petah Tikva 23): (35:37) In fact, in essence, the Ten is a collection of desires?

M. Laitman: No, the Ten is a collection of deficiencies which are connected between them, and all together, they establish in this the general characteristic of their connection which eventually is revealed as a connection with the Creator.

Student: And I can feel and see the deficiency, or is it something that is hidden from me and I can't really identify it?

M. Laitman: You can't demand the deficiency, no. Rather, the deficiency is revealed in a person as a result of his efforts in connection with the friends.

Student: Can I identify the friend's deficiency, or is it hidden from me, concealed from me?

M. Laitman: It's as if you're feeling the deficiency of the friend, but you're not really feeling her deficiency, you're rather feeling the relation, the attitude, the relative connection between your lack and the friend's lack.

Question (English 1): (37:39). My question was just answered, but I'll extend it a little bit. My question originally was, if a friend has an illness, do we need to feel their deficiency in order to truly ask for them correctly, which I understand now I think is no, but is it more correct to ask for the friend because the illness distances him from the Ten? Yes, it's possible.

M. Laitman: Yes, that's possible. It is possible.

Question (Women MAK 30): (38:54) Through deficiency, can we develop through our connection in the Ten by raising the mood for one another or only by a prayer to the Creator?

M. Laitman: You can find a true deficiency when you talk between you. And in such a way, each towards the others, in relation to the others, discovers the reasons, the purposes, and by that the deficiency is expressed.

Question (Women MAK 19): (39:51) I have joy because I have a group, and I understand on the other hand that I'm sick, but from that, I don't have healing. Can we say or ask that my healing depends on the healing of the rest of the society, and it will only happen in final correction?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's correct.

Student: And, therefore, I should be like a doctor towards others?

M. Laitman: No, you simply need to try and resolve your problem, to understand that it's not your personal problem, but rather a whole global problem. That's what you need to do.

Question (Women MAK 19): (41:24) Can I somehow take a friend's illness onto me, so I can correct it?

M. Laitman: No, no, you can't. It's all a misunderstanding of the connections between us. You can bestow, influence the group in being healthier, but not to take upon yourself the illness of the friend. No, it doesn't work that way. The general folk think that, but it's not true.

Student: To pray together for the correction of the sickness?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (42:22) What is the deficiency that I should desire and increase in the work?

M. Laitman: The deficiency that you need to discover and intensify in the work is the deficiency for the love of friends. That is the general deficiency, which if you care for, it's with certainty that you'll be healthier, your connection with the Ten will be greater, and eventually, through this you'll receive all the salvations.

Student: Another question. In the morning lesson we had a workshop about flexibility in the Ten, and I have a question. I have problems with flexibility, I can't be flexible enough. Should I work on the flexibility and the flexibility in the Ten? Should I work on it?

M. Laitman: We need to think about it, yes.

Student: Or should I make my vessel of bestowal larger? Should I work on my vessels of bestowal?

M. Laitman: More on the vessel of bestowal. Yes.

Question (Women Turkiye 2): (44:54) What should a person do if she cannot turn to the Creator to receive the treatment, and her heart does not allow her to turn to Him?

M. Laitman: Through the friends. Have the friends ask in her place. That's it. That's all in all.

Question (Women Spain): (45:35) In the Ten, how can we know that we are corrected?

M. Laitman: To the extent in which we love the friends, the whole organization, and the Creator. Accordingly, I can say that I am closer to the upper force.

Question (Women English 1): (46:18) After the Congress, I became very, very sick, and I keep asking myself, what is it that I need to pray for my Ten? I was so sick at one point, I feel like I did not even feel myself anymore, and I just feel as if I was just put at this point where everyone else had to pray for me, and I did not know what to pray for my Ten, other than what we put together as a Ten, as a prayer. I struggle to understand the reason for the sickness.

M. Laitman: It's this inner excitement that your body went through, and therefore it expressed it externally in such a manner.

Question (Women MAK 36): (47:50) My child hurt me a lot, and it broke my heart, and I was thinking, why the Creator gives me such a state? In the beginning, I couldn't understand what happened, and I'm trying to be a good mom, but there is a reason.

And then I understand that this is for me to understand how it hurts the Creator. Can I hurt the Creator by my stupidity?

M. Laitman: It can happen. It's possible. And, therefore, He is giving you such feelings. That too is possible. Sadly, many times we do so.

Question (Women Petah Tikva 33): (48:40) If a person has a big deficiency, but all his life he fails to make it happen, how can he make it happen?

M. Laitman: As usual, as it's written. Ask the Creator to be closer to him in order to feel the Creator until he finds the mutual connection between them.

Student: I heard that we don't need to yearn for healing at first. We need to understand the root of the problem and to find the method of healing. What is the reason that we need to yearn for healing?

M. Laitman: The root for the healing is contact with the Creator. Then we receive in a flow, a clear, direct stream from Him all the correct bestowals that are necessary for us.

Student: So, if I identify by myself uncorrected qualities, do I need to yearn for the Creator to correct those qualities or to understand the root and the reason?

M. Laitman: Together, with you yourself expecting to discover the reasons, you can also ask the Creator to disclose them to you. One has nothing to do with the other.

Question (Women Almaty 2): (50:50) Why when you ask for healing, the fulfillment does not come when you request, when you are so tired physically from asking? What do you do when the fulfillment is coming, and physically you cannot ask anymore, and you are in a state of gratitude? What do you do?

M. Laitman: Connect with your friends and ask together.

Question (Women Moscow 5): (51:34) My daughter is the wife of one of our friends. She lives in the United States. After she received a medication she got really bad burns, and everyone is trying to heal her, and thank you to a BB student who is a doctor that helps, but the condition does not go away. What should I ask for her? I don't know how to live with that and to be in gratitude to the Creator. I know that I received it for correction but how do I justify and to be in gratitude to Him?

M. Laitman: We need to continue, nevertheless. Build an even tighter connection between you and the daughter, and the Creator.

Student: Is this a deficiency in our connection with her?

M. Laitman: It's possible, yes.

Question (Women MAK 23): (52:56) A friend from the Ten, someone very close to her died, and she cannot find the strength to come closer to the Ten. How can we support her?

M. Laitman: I don't know. Talk to her, go over to her, invite her for an event, to you.

But we need to do.

Student: What type of correction are we going through when someone close to us died? You have pain, but when you come to the Ten, you understand that everything comes from above, from the Creator, just like the friend asked. I find it hard to be in gratitude to the Creator, to thank Him. What is this sign that the Creator is giving me? What am I lacking, Because I do yearn for the Ten.

M. Laitman: Faith that everything that's happening is happening for good. It's very difficult in truth to accept this, but each and everyone needs to accept it in such a way.

Question (Hadera 1): (54:19) Today in our life, we are witness to more medical miracles. What is this force that makes those miracles? Is that the feeling of adhesion? Or is it the force of complete faith?

M. Laitman: The feeling of unification.

Question (MAK 24): (54:58) There is a feeling in the Ten that the Creator gave us everything and now we need to start to use it. Is that right?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, He wants us to get out of the state of being children and become adults?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Who is a mature spiritual person?

M. Laitman: One that I will try to understand why the Creator is relating to him in such a way.

Student: What will help us to become mature spiritual men?

M. Laitman: Be connected between you and scrutinize those states that are happening to you together.

Student: To yearn and to try hard, right?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Karmiel): (55:53) Everything comes from the Creator. The person receives sickness that cannot be healed. This pressure that goes on the person. On one hand he does not have any chance, or the Creator is shortening his life, and on the other hand by this path to heal he tries to advance the person.

M. Laitman: Of course, he is trying to advance him.

Student: Which means that the Creator is hastening his correction?

M. Laitman: He creates appropriate conditions for him.

Student: But on the other hand, it turns out that he denies the life in his physical body.

M. Laitman: No, no. Everything is in the hands of the Creator.

Question (Women MAK 113): (57:08) Today I heard that when we connect in the Ten, we learn about our ego, about ourselves and then we heal in the Ten by the light of the Creator. Is that correct?

M. Laitman: Yes, correct.

Student: And the main thing is prayer?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Turkiye 2): (57:55) On what does the faith depend? What we see generally is that faith of the person to the Creator depends on the past experiences, the past impressions, the past signs that he received from the Creator, how much the Creator is willing to fulfill him or not.

And sometimes these past experiences or past impressions that are disclosed can keep the person in a cage. It doesn't give a person the possibility to feel faith, to feel a hope towards the future. So, how can a person raise faith to the Creator? What is it depending on over time, over all the past experiences? What is this direct connection that we need to build in order to take dependency of the faith from any past expression?

M. Laitman: We need to ask the Creator to help us understand Him, to understand Him, to feel Him, to bestow to Him and for our connections with Him to be connections that are true and correct, and to constantly ask and ask and then it clothes inside our questions, our requests and we will start gradually, not meaning that it's slow, but gradually, we will be able to understand what He wants of us, in what way He wants to teach us, how He brings us closer to Him.

Alright, I am sorry, but the hour is over and tomorrow we will continue. All the best to you from all the heart.
