Congress Prep Lesson 1: Rising Above Ourselves

1.Rav’s Introduction: (01:27) I hope we have had time to prepare for the Congress and feel more independent. We will try to go through the congress in such a way that we would truly feel the vessel we need to create together in order to reveal the Creator. This is the most important thing and of course the name of the congress is " Rising Above Ourselves", this is what each one of us needs to do and all of us together with mutual help. Then we would truly feel that the world we are in. The world that exists constantly, not in our broken feelings or broken perceptions but the world that was created by the Creator, the world in which we truly exist. Nothing was shattered and, in all truth, everything exists only in our feelings, and if we correct them, we will feel true creation, the complete eternal creation. I hope that I'll be able to express myself correctly in the Russian language. If I suddenly go to Hebrew automatically you will stop me. If I can't find any words you will help me and we will advance together. After all, my mother tongue in Kabbalah is Hebrew, but I will try to express everything that's in me in the Russian language, with great joy. We feel the world in our feelings as that's all we've got, we have nowhere to run to, this is all we have it is who we are. In our feelings, our sensations divide the world between ourselves and others, and in general that is still vegetative and animate in nature, that's what we feel today. In our broken sensations. Whereas in truth, we discover from the wisdom of Kabbalah that nothing was actually broken, everything is in its whole form and the shattering is only in us. This is the first point, the central point from which we should begin. Everything that exists, exists in me and if I correct my worldview, my perception of the world, I will feel a different world. It depends only on me. That's why the wisdom is called the wisdom of Kabbalah, reception: how to receive, how to perceive, myself and everything.

The Kabbalists tell us, meaning those who acquired that special perception of a world that is not distorted by our egoistic qualities. They explain that we can feel the world the way it truly is and not the way it appears to us; the way it is reflected to us inside of our senses. We can calibrate our senses to feel the world differently. As we go and refine our perception more and more without including in it any egoistic interference, and then we will perceive the world as one upper force, one good force that we call the Creator; relative to us that's how we refer to it. This is our goal, to calibrate ourselves in such a way that we will perceive in place of the world that we feel now, because the World Olam comes from the word Haalama, concealment. The world is a concealment. We would feel in place of this concealment, what is hiding behind it the Creator himself. How can we do it? We need to calibrate ourselves for that. How can we do that? To remove the interference, the disturbance, and there's only one kind of interference: it is us, ourselves. Meaning we need to be in a state of attack on the concealment of the Creator, attack our egoism that separates us; that creates a fragmented perception, dividing us into parts and levels that are closer and farther away from us. Meaning we have to do everything to perceive the complete world and not as something that is torn apart by our egoistic senses. Meaning we are working with you on the attack on the concealment of the Creator. Where our starting point is what the Kabbalists tell us, who already discovered it: There is a single force and the concealment of this force, that we have to cancel through our efforts. That is why the word Kabbalah tells us about how we could discover this upper force and what we have to do for it, and we have to understand the stages of the revelation of the Creator. This happens when we rise above ourselves, above our qualities, we'll separate between us and the quality of the Creator which is one for everyone, one common field. Hence, we gather here between us, to create this common field, this web of connections that exist unbeknownst to us, mediated by our ego. We need to only cancel this concealment. We rise above it and use it in an opposite way, and then we'll begin to feel that opposite quality, that true quality of this field, of this realm, of this space where we find ourselves. That's why Rabash started his appeal to his students when I asked him what to say in this gathering? So he wrote that we are going to read together with you this first excerpt. Then he writes “We Gather here to establish a society where each of us follows the spirit of bestowing upon the Creator.” But there is no Creator, it is a spirit of bestowing between us. When we come to the quality of bestowal, then we begin to feel that this is in fact the only quality that fills the entire world. The fact that we are created opposite to this quality, this was done so we would be created beings, so we would exist outside of this creation. And we will be able to feel it from the outside, to investigate it to the degree we resemble the quality of love and bestow, then we discover with our own efforts, will be able to build ourselves from two qualities, to be composed of two qualities; the quality of separation and of closeness, hate and love, qualities, feelings. And these two mutual qualities will sustain us, independent of the Creator. Without allowing us to dissolve and to disappear in Him but on the contrary, we will be able to simultaneously resemble Him and connect in adhesion to Him; and at the same time to exist independently separate from Him as created beings. This is what constitutes a person's highest point of development where a person is called Adam from the word adame, I will resemble, the upper one, the Creator. And here we need to try to understand the principle of our movement towards the reality of the Creator. Which is founded on approaching the quality of bestowal, of love and connection. But at the same time without canceling, without letting go of the opposite qualities relative to nearing, bestowal and love. Meaning, opposite qualities will be revealed in us: rejection, repulsion and all the way to hate, and these qualities that simultaneously cancel out one another; they have to exist in parallel and allow us to exist as independent created beings, separate entities or otherwise we would disappear. In that case only the Creator Himself will exist if you can say it this way. We can't imagine it because in the same sense the Creator Himself would not be able to exist, because it's a quality of connection. Connection between opposites. The connection of two separate parts. So without created beings there would be no Creator, and the more the created being advances and becomes more egoistic, more torn into pieces and separate in its qualities and in its attributes. And it's only so we would be able to discover more of that unity, more of that quality of the Creator. That's why it was said “you have made me,” you created me; meaning specifically from this opposition, from the egoism, the hate, the mutual repulsion we build the quality of attraction, of connection; all the way up to love, complete mutual incorporation in one another and of everything in everything. By that we can attain specifically that quality which you could say did not exist or does not exist before we do it. All that depends on the purpose of our development. That's why I asked Rabash what to talk about in the group, when he instructed us to gather and to speak. I had no clue what to talk to them about. He wrote this article if you can call it such. So what did he write? “We Gather here to establish a society where each of us follows the spirit of bestowing upon the Creator.” Meaning the central goal of ours is to bestow. The Creator is perceived by us only as a mutual quality; force, a mutual spirit that will fill all the gaps between us. And this gap, this place, and this is also how the Creator is referred to “the place;” so this place between us, man's attitude towards the Creator is man's attitude towards “the place.” That's how we call it in Hebrew as well “Mitzvot, commandments between man and the place.” So we gather here to establish a society where each of us follows the spirit of bestowing upon the Creator. And the main thing we should worry about is that place between us, meaning the relationships between us. What could be revealed between us. But in order to come to it to bestow to the Creator we have to first bestow to man. Why? Because there is no Creator in and of itself, we create this quality through the relationships between us, and the quality of the relationship between us, the attributes of those relationships, determine the Creator that we create. Just as it was said “you have made me.” You have made me or making me is not the Creator who is making, who is forming man; but rather man in his efforts after receiving the direction to do it, he forms the Creator. Just as in our world we build everything around ourselves we organize everything around ourselves, similarly we need to calibrate ourselves to connect between us to build a relationship between us in such a way, where the Creator can be revealed in those relationships. We are starting here with mutual work with this upper force that is completely concealed. It cannot be revealed in any other way except through equivalence of form. And it's only to the extent that we relate to it, we can discover it. And that's why our primary attitude towards it is called the quality of bestowal. But because the Creator is concealed and we are unable to understand with our sense of touch, how you can discover Him, approach Him gradually and to do it somehow. We are incapable of doing it, we need to have something in our hands and that's why the Creator forms the connection between us. The connection between egoists. And from this connection we need to understand our state. What or where are we? We need to start relating to the connection between us as to something fundamental, foundational from which we can glean insights about ourselves, our world and if we change relationships between us, we will be able to feel in this way how do we discover more and more of that space between us. In this way, we won't simply build a material shadow world, but rather a world that is a result of the connection between us all the way to the full connection; the mutual nearing between us and will be able to discover the connection between us.

The quality of that connection, the various special appearances and manifestations of it, and will be able to call it the Creator. This force, these qualities that were built to us from above are in the opposite manner to us even in the smallest way; and if we will advance towards revealing this quality, we will feel ourselves existing in two contradicting States. As much as we don't understand we want to be close, meaning we are opposite to the Creator and at the same time how much we can adhere to Him and incorporate in Him. That's why Rabash writes that “to achieve bestowal upon the Creator, we must begin with bestowing upon man” which is called “love of others.” Why is it so? Because we cannot speak of our feelings if we don't understand something. If we wish to come closer to something, I need to receive a certain feedback, a certain quality of bestowal. Everything is built on the idea of learning to grasp and to perceive the other, not the still, vegetative and inanimate but specifically a person, a human like us and by observing their relationships with him and with ourselves; we'll be able to learn how to calibrate ourselves to the correct attitude towards the Creator. Our egoism will help us. It repels us; it will show us just how much we are not connected between us and how much we are not ready for connection with the Creator. And we will feel it specifically as a result of the rejection and repulsion between us. Meaning the connection between us is that indication for the degree of repulsion that I have towards the Creator. It is an amazing concept, Divine concept: where a person feels that he is in this world that was constructed for us entirely, so that we would learn how to feel and understand who we are, gradually. So we could rise above that state and the feeling of the still, vegetative and animate nature all the way up to the state of man. And in those relationships, we need to already begin to feel ourselves ready for the perception of the creator. That's what Rabash writes: that we have to learn how to bestow to a man and this is called ”love of others,” why? Because the quality of bestowal is the highest quality, perfect, complete, the highest that we can discover in our state. If we wish to obtain a connection with the Creator, we need to acquire His quality, the quality of bestowal. In order to learn how to understand the quality of bestowal, to feel it, to raid it, to divide it into degrees, to give it different names. For that we need to generate this quality between us in all kinds of forms of connection, in order to give us the opportunity to understand which qualities of connections exist or available to us in order to develop ourselves. For that we exist in the opposite environment, between men and women, and there are many men and women among us; and we have to reach a state where above all the egoistic rejections the Creator created in us; rejection to the qualities of connection we have to come to a state of mutual bestowal called love of others.

Love is when you begin to grasp the other, to perceive him, not merely as yourself but higher than yourself; and he becomes more important to you than you are important to yourself. That's why the next line in this excerpt is that “love of others" can only be through the revoking of oneself.” Meaning when a person revokes himself relative to the other, not simply disappears but works on the fact that everything that is in him, in his mind and thoughts, his intellect and his deeds. Everything is done for the sake of others. Meaning when you exist only for the sake of the others.

On the one hand each person should feel lowly and on the other hand be proud that the creator has given us the chance to be in a society, a group where each of us has but a single goal for the Shechinah, meaning the revelation of the Creator, the appearance of the Creator will dwell among us. In order for us to return to the initial state from which we were created, the Creator started to develop in Him the desire to receive that is opposite to Him, in order for Him to create the created beings, and for that created being to be the opposite to Him. That's why gradually inside the Creator, inside the upper light, the desire to receive was formed. That desire to receive was shattered into many pieces, to smaller pieces, and smaller pieces so on, to a 125 degrees of expansion from that initial seed of the desire that we call Malchut of the world of Ein Sof, down to our state, and to the lowest state. Everything takes place through this process of shattering that one desire into many separate desires. Why? So we'll be able to start the opposite path, our evolution, our development. From this opposition will be able to reveal the Creator. I think what I'm saying here is relatively clear, there is nothing particularly new about it, I hope my language is clear. “Our task” our mission as he concludes in this excerpt is that the Creator gave us the opportunity ”to enter a society where each one has but a single goal, for the Shechina, meaning the Creator, to dwell among us.” Meaning to create between us such connections, such relationships that will resemble in their quality to the Creator and we don't want anything else. If we wish to remain in the animate degree and live like animals, that exists a certain amount of time and afterwards rot; we want to rise, even egotistical; and come out of that state and rise to the degree of the Creator. Even egotistical, if we have such preparation in us, that's perfect. We need to understand that this rising is built on the revelation of the Creator between us. This is the first condition a person has to get to know, and to accept and from the beginning our priority will exist throughout all these actions; meaning I wish to reveal the Creator between us. The moment a person begins to recognize it, that he has to advance only in this direction; he then begins to acquire the wisdom of Kabbalah because he begins to bring closer to himself the qualities of connection with the other and repel and reject the qualities that separate him from the other. These qualities of others that remain in us are all necessary, and specifically over the opposition of these qualities; we reveal the Creator, as it is written “the advantage of light out of darkness.” The most important thing, the central thing is to come closer to the Creator, the revelation of the Creator. This is the purpose of our existence. In general all of our corporeal existence, the purpose of it is to rise above the animate degree where we are, all the way to the degree of man. Not just human but Adam, who resembles the Creator. The degree of the resemblance of the Creator that we create in the connection between us; to the same extent we will advance forward.

2. S. (32:17) Starting yesterday the tens of friends in Kazakhstan were left without internet and we are praying for them and thinking about them thinking about the connection between us and I want to ask about our topic. What is the form of connection specifically in this case when there is no phone, no internet, no mutual connection, no feedback. What form of connection can we maintain? Precisely out of the contradicting qualities that are revealed within us?

R. Yes, starting yesterday even the day before yesterday the connection with Kazakhstan was severed. It is a very big, strong country and relatively well-developed. Generally speaking, friendly. An ancient nation, Adamas knows it because he's been there many times so I understand his state and the fact that he is raising this question he is an example for us. We have many friends that are disconnected from us. Meaning it's not that we can't see and hear them. They can't see and hear us. Maybe they are able to form other connections in order to hear the lesson, maybe watch it somehow, we will learn about it later but in principle as it's clear to us today this country is disconnected completely. We have to think about them and hold them close to us. That's why our work is practical and the study can never replace anything for us, we must replace the relationships between us. Simply the relationship. To make them resemble the quality of their Creator as much as possible and we all will also be called Adam adome from the work I do may I will resemble the Creator that's what we're going to be working on

S. In our work even if we get the smallest revelation we remain as those who investigate the shattering, this is our destiny there's a reason for being in this world?

R. No, that's not our work our work is to while revealing the breaking between us the distance between us the opposite and it's between us, at the same time we also yearn for the opposite for a connection to the point of love we don't need to stop when we reveal that we are egoistic and that we just consumed ourselves, we want to learn actually to create the Creator between us.

S. And as a result?

There's nothing else besides this.

4. S. (40:36) Why is it that in order to reach love between us it's important that we annul ourselves?

R. I think we also understand it from relationships in this world. How can I love someone else if at the same time I love myself? It's impossible. Only if you take the quality of the other, the desire, the life of the other as something that is your own, above yourself and you live and exist only for him, for everything, for everything that he wants, this is called connection of love. There is no definition for love other than incorporation in the desire of the other in order to satisfy them. Give me a different definition of love, everything else will become completely untrue, I love you, I this, I that no. Concretely, materialistically our world is built on desires. What should I do with my desire and with the desire of the other? What state do I need to build between us that will be called love? It is only if I establish, use all of the qualities, all of my qualities in order to fill and satisfy all the qualities of the other. This is called loving him, it is the accurate implementation, expression of my love for others. That's why we were all created in the will to receive and if I put another person’s will to receive above mine and I use my desires only in order to satisfy him, this is called loving him, there is no other definition. The materialistic, accurate, clear definition that over time we will be able to measure it and to gauge and to check how much we kind of sacrifice, if you can put it this way, of ourselves for the sake of others. Then this sacrifice, this offering of ourselves for others, there are stages, so I don't just do something for others, but I rise above myself and everything I would do for me, I do for him. That relation when you position another above you is called love. That's what it's called, find another word for it, call it incorporation, commutation, connection, you can name it however you want but the simplest word that you can use is love.

5. S. (44:20) You say the Creator does not exist, so this …. to what does not exist?

R. Build it, make it, just build it out of your feelings, desires, relationships, otherwise he does not exist. The Creator is revealed to us, we cannot reveal something that exists outside of us. Regardless of us, without us, afterwards we will acquire this quality, this ability, to start feeling something that is outside of us, but this is already in the quality of bestowal, in the complete quality of bestowal when we rise above ourselves and all of us begin to work with reflected light. Then we enter new realms of connection and integration. It's ahead of us, it's not far but basically the Creator is what is built and attained between us. Let's do it, let's build it.

6. S. (45:50) In the connection that we build right now in the Congress, how to hold on to it, this quality connection that we have calibrated between us here in the Congress?

R. The wisdom of Kabbalah on the one hand is the science that is very unrealistic. Because it engages in data that is not physical qualities, feelings. On the other hand, it's completely realistic because we need to not only study it but to build it, we need to build it and not just to build but to build out of the opposite qualities than the ones that we have. Because we have only opposite qualities and in this movement of ours to study these opposite qualities, we have to draw a hidden force of nature for it which sustains everything, generates, engenders everything, sustains everything, it's the quality of bestowal. It is revealed a little bit, it is revealed in us and grasped in us in our egoistic qualities and here among us in the connections, between us, we need those qualities of nature of pure bestowal, we need to bring them to be revealed among us and to the extent that we yearn for it we will begin to feel that that quality of absolute clean pure bestowal, love that quality exists and that quality is called the Creator. It is concealed because we ourselves hide it because we don't have these qualities, we don't have these feelings, we don't have these relationships. That's why the Creator broke the initial one desire that he was created, so that in our attempts and efforts to build a connection between us, we will be able to somehow understand what is opposite from us and begin to feel, to try to reveal it, to bring it out of concealment and that's what we are doing with you. So let's work as the Kabbalists advise us, let's attack the concealment of the Creator because all that exists is him and he is in concealment which we have to revoke through our efforts, through our connections. We have to create such connections among us so we can reveal that quality of bestowal and love. That resemblance, that similarity and according to the relationships among us, so we will reveal our relationship to the Creator

7. S. (49:20) What does it mean to reveal our friend's desires for his sake?

R. I don't know what it means for his sake. I know that I would like to receive, that is what I know, I want to rise above my will to receive and that's what I give to my friend. So the quality of love doesn't require any special scrutiny, as long as you remember that loving others means relating to him as you relate to yourself.

8. S. (50:17) To wait for everything to turn to good in the society and for the frictions to disappear is that correct?

R. Awaiting, I don't think it's correct, it also won't succeed. You can wait indefinitely until you are forced from above to advance with sticks. So you will understand that you need to correct your situation so we mustn't wait. We mustn't wait for something to happen from today to the next day under no circumstances, this is the worst possible relation to life, you have to act. Acting is only if we help each other in the group and then it's not so bad and terrible and you get awakening from others and that way you operate on others and that's how you advance. If the right relationships are arranged in the group among the friends, and you move these relationships or they start working so they become active, then automatically each one helps the others and everyone advances but waiting under no circumstances, that's the corrected feeling

S. Maybe the question wasn't clear, the question is I belong to this society, and my attitude towards it should be that I don't think conflicts and arguments, friction, disturbances within the society, is this the correct attitude on my part?

R. No, we have to correct it, not just not accept, what I'm saying is we have to be active, everyone needs to understand each other. If I don't awaken others, they won’t awaken me and we won't advance. So now I have to advance, move on with the lesson otherwise we won't get anything out of it, we have to scrutinize something serious.

9. S. (53:20) I heard there is no Creator, that the Creator is the quality of some exalted connection of bestowal if there's no Creator who do we pray to?

R. We don't pray in that general sense to something, to someone, although that's what we say in our words, we are raising the quality of bestowal above ourselves, the quality of connection and love and we try to elevate this quality above us and ourselves above ourselves. This is the real prayer, the real plea, in other words it is as if I imagine the higher degree above me and I try to pull myself up to it, that is the prayer. That's why a prayer is called Tefillah in Hebrew meaning judging yourself, rising above yourself, feeling who you are and who you should be and from this come toward prayer.

10. S. (54:40) What is this act of incorporating in the desire of the other if his desires are egoistic?

R. We are not created egoistic, we were created as one unified desire. Afterwards in order to reveal the upper force to attain it, to resemble it, that desire broke, and those particles, distinct particles, that we shattered into out of this one desire, now that those particles are contradictory, they feel distant and they are hateful to each other which exists in each one of us, each of us takes into account only himself. If I'm willing to take anyone else into account it's only in order to benefit myself. So I have this state, which is opposite, from the state we started in, we have to rise back to the state we started in and this is what is happening

11. S. (56:03) How to work, do we build the Creator or reveal him?

R. It's the same, it's the same, building the Creator, creating him out of our yearning and intentions, actions, for this drawing the upper light to influence our desire, to love, it is all the same.

12. S. (56:37) What does it mean to build the Creator if we have no clue about his existence except for hearing about it from Kabbalists?

R. We know what hatred is, what is love, rejection, near and nearing, in our feelings, in our corporeal earthly feelings. We don't need to do anything that is not earthly, we don't, we just have to make it so that the way we understand these concepts, rejection, nearing, hatred, love, that it will all be directed towards the friend and why do we do it? So that in this way we'll build our relationship towards the friend towards the Creator.

13. S. (57:43) With what desire can I fill the society?

R. With a desire to draw so close that between us the quality of the Creator will be revealed.

14. S. (57:58) Does the revelation of the Creator happen individually or in a group?

R. Both individually and in the group. Meaning to the extent that we want to be incorporated with one another and be connected with each other, these individual desires and yearnings of ours. But in the end when we are in the group and connect with one another by this we create the condition for the Creator, the quality of love and bestowal which actually existed before us. It will become revealed within us and that's why the connection between us is just that state, that basis, that vessel where that is necessary for the Creator to be revealed in.

15. S. (59:05) Can you obtain love from others using only the power of prayer?

R. Only with the aspiration for connection between us and from the connection between us to raise our request to the Creator, meaning to a general common quality between us of bestowal, love and connection which is what created us to begin with.

Excerpt 2: Degel Machaneh Ephraim, BeShalach [When Jacob Sent]

R. (59:32) A person who serves the Creator in truth to draw near, to reveal the right connection toward the Creator because without people he cannot reveal him but it is only possible when we reveal the connection practically between us so that person must be incorporated with all the created beings, so you must feel that He is in them. Just as the Creator is in each of us, we don't feel it so he needs to connect himself with all the souls and incorporate himself with them and they with him. In other words, to achieve a state where we are so connected to each other that we don't feel any difference between us, that everyone is together. I don't know how else to put it but we have in our world such as examples like a pregnant woman, the child is in her, within her, inside of her and everything that her body does works only in developing the fetus at least. So we have to picture that each of us is impregnated with the group within us and we want to develop the group, to be in it so it will be in us we will not feel the difference between us, the gaps between us to such an extent that we will be as one body and with one desire, with one yearning, one life.

In other words you should leave for yourself only what you need to connect with Divinity, meaning in general, a person should have shouldn't have anything besides what he needs, besides his need to correct him, conduct himself with his friends and to the Creator and we connect with the Creator, in the connection between us. It's not like he's outside of us but we build Him out of the right connection between us, constantly on and on. Try to imagine what kind of connection, what is the nature of the connection that you have right now? So out of this build Him to the extent that you would aspire and yearn for connection, you'll begin to attain the expression and the revelation of the Creator among you which you build. Besides, you will feel the upper force, the common force will be in you according to the right connection between you and then you will call that reviving force within you, you will call it Creator. In order to connect with it you have to have many people connected, it requires connecting many people because according to the number of people who work, meaning who draw this upper light, to that extent the light of Divinity, the Creator appears to them, whatever light.

For this reason one must include himself with all people, with all created beings and raise everything to the root called Divinity, for the correction of Divinity. The right connection between us and in that connection, there appears to light according to the level of our correspondence of our connection although the connections between us are egoistic, if we will rise a little bit above them towards the friends in an altruistic manner then those altruistic connections that we add in addition, that we build above ourselves, above the egoistic connections between us, so in these altruistic connections the Creator becomes revealed. Then this altruistic connection between us is called the Shechina meaning that spiritual vessel in which the Creator is revealed. It all depends how much we rise about the egos to connections between us which were initially created and they were created correctly so that on top of them will be able to rise with the opposite qualities, the opposite relation. Contrary to our relationship to each other, we have to understand that we need to be opposite to ourselves, meaning to place the restriction, the screen the reflected light and raised ourselves above the egoistic relations and to the extent that we build the altruistic relations, the quality bestowal even love between us, to that extent we are building the Divinity, the place and the vessel in which the Creator is revealed, to the extent of our equivalence, resemblance.

R. We need to see every moment very accurately in how you are relating to your friends. Basically we need to intensify, reinforce the actions between us so we will really begin to understand the quality of our connection or the quality of our separation and distance.

23. S.( 01:13:40) How do we stop identifying ourselves with our ego?

R. It's a practical wisdom, from what we do among us we will be able to see if we are truly ready ourselves, if we are sympathetic with our egos or the quality of bestowal and to that extent, we will be able to measure it. For now we cannot measure it but we could feel it more or less. It all depends on us. If you take this wisdom, the science to the relationships, among the pride and how it dresses in it, to measure it, to feel and repeat these operations but for this you need to start implementing this wisdom and science within you and the group. So each one should connect to his friend to hear something related to the work of the Creator, and how to find the Creator, to annul and everyone will do this and when the assembly is with this intention then the Creator is revealed more because more than the calf wants to suckle the cow wants to nurse. The Creator approaches them and he is with them. Meaning, we are now in an assembly of friends and we should always think how we come closer to each other and want one thing, in order to start feeling, in the connection between us, not in each and every one of us, but in the connection between us, to discover the Creator, this is very important. R. Only if we learn this from our friends. I have to see them as greater than I am. If this is not the way that I see them it means that I am in a bad state. This means that I have to invest more and more effort in the studies and the connection between us until I can see them as higher than me and then in my yearning for connection with them, I will start feeling the essence of this connection. Meaning the Creator within my yearning and within my desires for my friends I will start feeling the quality of bestowal, the quality of love, to a certain extent that will be the Creator.

R. The state that you are describing is a wonderful state when a person, meaning there's no desire for bestowal, connection, love. I completely understand you but along with that and also from this opposite state you have an ability to feel what's resembling Him meaning, the opposite state. Imagine to yourself that the opposite state, meaning when you feel the ego, it means that you're starting to perceive creation, what the Creator created, he created the ego and he didn't create anything else and you from that state when you start discovering and attaining, you can reach its opposite. What does it’s opposite mean? There is a verse, as the advantage of light from darkness, as the advantage of light from darkness. The preference of light over darkness.

26. S. (01:21:53) How can we increase the beat in the ten?

R. The temple of our advancement depends only on our mutual state between the friends. How much each one helps the other. I myself cannot raise myself, what if I pull my own hair but through the friends, to the extent that I help the friends then I elevate myself. It is much more efficient than me elevating myself on my own. It is the only means to rise, helping another and there is no other means, it doesn't exist, this is the only means. That is why we have a tremendous opportunity to rise. We are in a group where each and everyone understands what he should do and he understands what others should do and by that we help each other.

R. R. I don't think we should resemble each other, each one should be different but we are all yearning to show a good example to others, only the good example from the friends is what will elevate me and in this way we act.

28. S. (01:25:12) Why does it happen that the friends become better aimed more towards the goal and I become worse and more distant from yearning for the Creator?

R. That's wonderful, on the contrary, it shows that you are rising. If you can appreciate your friends higher and you see yourself as lower then that's a wonderful state and I bless you.

29. S. (01:25:42) What can I give the friends if I don't have any lover bestowal but completely opposite the quality of the Creator?

R. Nonetheless, you can help, you can support, you show you love them, you help them, you say a good word even if you yourself don't really agree with that you can still do it. We are in a world which is false so if you are false but in the right direction, it will lead you to the truth.

30. S. (01:26:26) If we are building the Creator between us by correcting our relationships, should the corrected reality become the Creator, itself, or will there be two forms humanity and the Creator?

R. If you're talking about forever, I cannot say. Some degrees are after the final correction and even higher, I cannot say, but I think that there are no boundaries at all. That the degrees of our ascent, by connecting the equivalence of form but undoubtedly, we don't disappear, meaning our initial point when we become nonexistent, meaning this egoistic point will not disappear but we will be the real created being and we won't disappear in the Creator. It's His desire but besides that point that He created everything that happened after this point I can correct by that to resemble Him. This is why we become like the Creator, even though inside of us, there is this black point that He created that belongs to us but He created it. And I don't see any flaws there. This is why, specifically thanks to that black point, we can be in complete adhesion between us; otherwise there cannot be any adhesion. The meaning of adhesion is that there is a difference between one another and still there is adhesion, there is Dvekut. Connecting the opposites is a wonderful thing, this is in principle that enables the diversity of emotions in our world, the gap, the difference and along with that coming closer. Try to imagine to yourself especially the feminine part of our vessel: when can you feel love, only when you feel that there is something against you that yearns to connect to you. Then this emotion awakens this emotion of love, and with this gap, the difference, the only black point that the Creator created, if that disappears then the entire creation disappears.

31. S. (01:29:49) The Creator created something new from Ein Sof and He said, “you created Me”. Is there a contradiction?

R. No, the Creator created specifically the egoistic desire and later it grew until we resembled Him egoistically. Meaning we want to completely devour anything and everything into us, that's on the one hand; and on the other hand, we start correcting ourselves and in that corrected state, we become completely like the Creator. Meaning whatever I can do with myself, I make myself completely similar to the Creator and by that we attain the complete unity, the identification of qualities on the basis of this dark point that separates me and Him, and specifically thanks to that, He and I will never become one and whole but in all the qualities above this point, we will be in adhesion, and unity; and specifically thanks to this black point, we will feel this adhesion between us because there is a point that separates us.

32. S. (01:31:25) What annuls when you annul yourself?

R. Complete annulment is when I annul my care about myself, my intentions for myself; and all my qualities and emotions, my forces I aim only to be connected to the others, to my friends. And in this way, I bring all of us to that state where the force of the upper force can be revealed.

33. S. (01:32:05) What shouldn't we annul?

R. You shouldn't annul your egoism, just work above it. In no way, don't even hate it in the way that you want to destroy it. I have to hate it just to rise above it but along with that appreciate it because thanks to it I can rise.

R. To the extent that the Creator is big in my perception, the way I perceive myself and the friends and how he is important in my eyes, to that extent he is able to rise above himself to the adhesion to him. 35. S. (01:33:36) Are we drawing the light that reforms when we yearn for the connection with the 10?

R. Are we drawing the lights, of course, how could you do it any other way? I didn't even understand the question: how you could do it differently. If we are yearning for a connection with our ten, then of course. First of all, I can only realize this connection if I draw the upper light, the upper force, the quality of bestowal and love, and the connection; otherwise it cannot happen. 36. S. (01:34:58) Do we need to stop identifying with our body and our individuality, and only identify with the Kli, me is we?

R. Of course, am I supposed to always feel myself as a beast and this beast gives me commands, commands for this person what he should do? 38. S. (01:38:59) What relationship should we have between us in a lesson so we could build the vessel?

R. We don't need to pay attention to what's happening in the ten; we should pay attention to how through all these different incidents. we have to rise, to be saved, to save ourselves. What the Creator is doing with us, all kinds of shattering, lack of content, of satisfaction between us, it doesn't matter to us. R. These are different things, different forms of expression of the upper Force. The first expression is when He creates, He is the one that created and there is None Else Besides Him. The second form is when we express Him with respect to us, it is when we talk about the different degrees, the ways to attain Him, the means to attain Him, etc., this is something else. Here there are degrees, it’s graded. We’re talking about different kinds of lights, Ruach, Nefesh, Neshama, . . . ., Yechida, and what degrees and qualities we feel Him. It is not the upper life that created us anymore but these are different manners of different parts if we could say so. That to the extent that we resemble this light, we perceive it, we feel, we discover. But in principle, the source is one, it is the upper light. R. Of course.

R. Sitting for 3 hours on your chair is also good, on the one hand; on the other hand, the more we incorporate in each other we feel every question. We try to answer every question, to incorporate ourselves with their friends, well then, of course, to that extent we are taking part in the Congress. Our participation depends on adhesion, on the connection, on the feeling of others, mutually helping them, incorporating in each other.

45. S. (01:47:34) From that black point: we say that to begin with my nature is egoistic and there's just a little point in the heart which is my connection with the Creator. Now I heard that we have to reach a state which we are completely bestowing and that little dot, that egoistic dot will be the difference, the gap between me and the Creator. That's the inversion point?

R. No, I correct my ego to bestow, for bestowal; and what is left for me is according to the thought of the Creator, what separates me and Him, the will to receive from the will to bestow. But besides that original desire to receive I also build in my resemblance to Him. That's what will be called in me, the concealment and the revelation of the Creator, meaning the nine Sephirot. Meaning if I incorporate in others and try in some way to connect to the others, to that extent that I will want to bestow to them, by this I acquire a new quality, the will to bestow. And from love of friends he can reach the love of the Creator. The Creator is the summarizing part, the inclusive of all our relationships to one another. And if I want to bestow to the whole group so in such a way, I start feeling that my attitude towards them, that is my attitude towards the Creator.

47. S. (1:57:37) In my ten, we are really close to each other but sometimes we have these conflicts between us, but we are able to overcome them. What should we do so that we will come much closer than we are today?

R. May you have even more friction because otherwise what can you rise above and what can you come closer above? We can't just come closer, we have to see the obstacle and uplift above it. It's like with a loving couple if they don't have arguments and fights, they don't have anything to renew their relationships upon. It's one thing and it's a contradiction. That’s how we were created and that's why our whole life is composed of black and white, black and white, and if we build our relationships correctly upon that contradiction those elements, we overcome both of them for something third which is greater than them. So our relationships have a continuation and they flourish and develop. That’s clear right?

48. S. (01:59:18) You said that I’m incorporated into the friends and the ten and a certain point I get a force of bestowal. What does it mean that I get the force of bestowal and I'm incorporated in the friends?

R. You suddenly have a desire, an intention, a direction that you want to bestow to them that you start feeling that an impulse awakens between you to awaken them. Where does it come from, it just comes. Just like that. Like you see with a baby, yesterday he didn't know how to do something and now he is doing it. You look at him yesterday it wasn't there and today it's there, where did it come from, that development, that inner force of nature works on everyone and develops everyone. But for this we need to adapt ourselves to that force. If we, do it in the group, we give the Creator an ability to work through us to develop us in a certain direction and in this way we develop.

S. Then you said that after this force is revealed in me, I start feeling the Creator connecting all of us together. What does that mean?

R. The Creator is revealed to us as a force correcting us, a force connecting us, a force that raises us towards him and so on. And then there are more degrees and many degrees and he takes us on his wings and raises us with the screen and above the screen and so on.

R. It has to be like a red line that goes throughout the whole Congress. I want to reach the feeling of my connection with the friends. Such a connection where I discovered the quality of the Creator, that upper force of bestowal of the connection of love and except for that I don’t need anything. I do not need anything in my life except for that.

49. S. (02:03:11) I asked the Creator to be good to my friends, I make an effort to listen to my friends, I try to uplift my friends but all of these are corporeal things. How can I do something spiritual for my friends?

R. It is not important. When we are in the corporeal part of creation, in the egoistic part of creation so it doesn't matter. It matters what we’re asking for. We are always correcting ourselves from the egoistic part of creation towards the altruistic part. In this way the prayer gets answered, the MAN rises, the deficiency rises. There can’t be any other way. So when I turn to the Creator from my uncorrected state, I ask him to pass me on toward the corrected state and in that corrected state I see that I'm connected with my friends and we are all together aimed towards our mutual connection that we call it the Creator, and we’re all yearning and wanting each one from himself towards the outside towards the others he’ll be able to bestow to this general connection. Everything we have, all the good we have and that is the right yearning of man from the group to the Creator.

50. S. (02:05:14) Let's say I'm in the situation and now I know that it’s the Creator that gave it to me and I know he's doing it for my own good so I consciously want to react just for the benefit of the others but there is still a little part of me that it hurts. Am I still doing the right thing?

R. I didn’t really get the question if you could again.

I understand that’s it’s important but it will always remain in you in such a way so you will understand where you are, the spiritual Partzuf is always in contradicting qualities in itself because there is an egoistic desire in the Malchut and thanks to the upper light shining upon it through the first nine spheres that Malchut can divide itself into a part where it belongs to the first nine spheres of the quality of bestowal and the part that the part where it can’t ascribe itself to the quality of bestowal it divides itself supposedly into two parts so the part that can relate to the quality of bestowal, that is the corrected part of the Malchut. And the part that can't is below the restriction, so we can’t use it, even though we want to use it, but we do not want to because using it would be in order to receive for ourselves and in this way we work. It will always be like that. That contradiction, it always exists in the created being in man and it’s what lets a person or gives him an opportunity to measure himself to understand what degree he is in what state he is in. It can’t be that we’ll have a feeling of only the light or only the darkness, that is not a feeling. It is coming out of our feelings. Complete light or complete dark is the same thing. The vessel it’s considered such a desire that it can measure itself, value itself, weigh itself and so on. So don't worry. you keep going, you advance, and don’t think what states we are in, but quickly realize them, process them inside and keep going from state-to-state and that's it. R. I understand that we cannot be happy when a disturbance comes on one hand. On the other hand it is only because we are lacking the group support. But the moment we do feel the group's support, so from that disturbance the state becomes like a competition, as much as I can overcome as much as I can uplift above it. So that is why this disturbance gives me joy. It is like an athlete, who else should I relate it to, it all depends on the group support. If I'm alone in front of the disturbance it is not good so I'm wasting a lot of time and the disturbance will be coming, I will not know how to cope with it and I will start devouring myself and so on. You can only overcome them together. R. I do not get the question what does it mean? Oh, maybe how to get inspiration from the friend? It depends on as much as you value him as much as how great he is in your eyes. That is how you can get inspiration from him and use it, use his state as your energy. It also in our life it works in such a way.

54. S. (02:13:50) I often find myself in the state where I am in evil thoughts and desires. How can I redirect my heart again and again to the purpose of the creation? It always gets harder and I'm struggling.

R. Of course it is difficult for you because there are two reasons, it might be uplifting into higher degrees, or something more natural and usual, that the connection with the ten weakens. That’s also a result of uplifting to the next degree so briefly strengthen the connection with the ten and you will see how everything becomes easier and free and happy.

R. Don’t be concerned of the quality of receiving only the quality of bestowal and the connection between you. Receive in the same way you need to, it will already be revealed between you in one way or the other.

R. Every degree has its own uniqueness, its own measure. We have a desire and against this desire you have the upper light. R. Unity is when you work on one goal on the same goal and it specifically connects you.

60. S. (02:19:09) How to connect and to annul to the friends that don't maintain our method?

R. You shouldn’t connect them and don't annul to them. Towards what will you annul exactly and towards what will you connect? You need a mutual goal and a method to obtain that special goal. You can engage in it but just know that it is a corporeal degree that is a degree in your body and that’s it, not in your spiritual body but your beastly body.

61. S. (02:21:17) Is there a difference between incorporation in spirituality and the intention?

R. I do not understand.

S. You can have incorporation and you can have a spiritual connection.

R. Well let's say just cooperating it’s like with the guys but in spirituality it’s an inner connection that can only happen with the help of the upper light that I do not control it but with the friends we’re asking the Creator to connect us.

62. S. (02:22:08) Why were the rest of the parts of the nature, still, vegetative, and animate not created out of evil and these degrees of the desires have no rejection but the speaking level does have rejection?

R. They are included in man. We are comprised of all four degrees of nature and we get to the highest degree the degree of man so the rest of the degrees connect them and participate together. That is what is written and I also write about it. I wrote about it in my first books in Russian.

63. S. (02:22:51) Discovering that a friend loves me suddenly, is that the feeling of the Shechina, the Divinity? How to keep this picture in my memory even though things change?

R. I need when I feel such an attitude of Love towards me from the friend to be able to value it to appreciate it and lift myself to that degree to relate to him accordingly like he’s relating to me and connect those relationships between us in a way that the creator is revealed.

R. How to measure the force of connection is something that we do not know how to do yet because it will be revealed only as a result of attaining spiritual degrees.
