277. The fourth chamber from the chambers from which the Garden of Eden is nourished is the shape of Jacob Saba, ZA, Yod-Hey-Vav, who receives the inheritance of AVI, which are Yod-Hey, and ZA, Vav, grew among them, between Yod-Hey, and walks before them, meaning Yod-Hey-Vav, where the Vav walks before the Yod-Hey.
278. It is seen in the way of the chastity of the whole world, like the arrangement of the letters of the name of the Master of everything, as they are arranged Yod-Hey Vav-Hey. The conduct of the male is to always place his Nukva in front of him in order to watch her and remove from here suspicion and jealousy, and he will not set his eyes on another woman.
So are the letters of the name: Yod is male, Aba; Hey is Nukva, Ima; and in the name Yod-Hey, the Nukva is before the male so he will always look at her. The son, Vav, walks before his mother, the first Hey, to cover her from the eye of foreigners, for his honor and for the honor of his father, as it is written, “Joseph is a fruitful bough,” and as it is written, “Afterward, Joseph and Rachel came near,” with Joseph walking in front of his mother to cover her from the eye of wicked Esau. Hey is in front of the Yod; Vav is in front of the Hey, which are the letters Yod-Hey-Vav in the name.
279. Jacob, Vav, ZA, took his Nukva, Hey, Malchut, and placed her in front of him in order to always watch her and not another, as it is written, “The eyes of the Lord your God are always on it,” so it will not move from the eye even for a minute. This is the order of the holy letters, and this order will be above and below.
280. These letters were inscribed in their impression after they went outside the power and might of the Shofar [festive horn], Bina. Then, when they came out of the strength and force of the Shofar, out of the duress, because the sound became incorporated with fire, wind, and water, the letters were embodied, became real, and were inscribed in their Partzufim, each according to what befits her, and they were straightened in their places.
281. The letters were concealed inside the Shofar, in Bina, without an apparent inscription whatsoever. When they came out, they were all embodied and inscribed in their shape, each according to what befits her, as is seen in the dots underneath them.
The letters are the vessels for the clothing of the lights; they place a boundary for each light in the measure of its expansion. The twenty-two letters are primarily seven letters, seven vessels HGT NHYM. However, since there are three lines in them, there are three times seven letters, which are twenty-one letters. In the middle line, there is an addition of one letter, the screen of Hirik in it, the root of the unification and the boundaries that emerge from the middle line. For this reason, there are eight letters in the middle line, and with the fourteen in the two lines right and left, twenty-two letters.
The order of emergence of the letters is as the order of the emergence of the three lines, where in the two lines right and left there was a dispute between them until the middle line came out and established them in their place.
This is the meaning of the seven letters, HGT NHYM of the right and HGT NHYM of the left, being moist, that they were pressed each against the boundary of the other, that there was a dispute between them until the third line came and they were congealed.
It arranged the boundary of each one, so the vessels of the left would shine only from below upward, and the vessels of the right would shine from above downward, and they would no longer mix with each other’s boundary, and the dispute was quieted since they were congealed by the middle line.
The power of the middle line to quiet the dispute is in the power of the judgments of his screen of Hirik. It is known that any judgment controls only from the place of its exit and below. Since the screen of Hirik is ZA, below Bina, how does it govern to subdue the left line in Bina by the force of its judgment, and unite it with the right? Because ZA rose to Bina, and is adhered to Bina and to the TM of Bina, it is regarded as the Guf [body] of Bina and has the power to unite the right and left of Bina, and establish there the form of the twenty-two letters.
Nevertheless, since the place of ZA is not in Bina, and he is there during the raising of MAN, the letters are not completed in Bina since the power of the judgment that limits the screen of Hirik is not there in its full power. Rather, after ZA returns to its place with the three lines it received from Bina, the power of judgment in the screen of Hirik in him awakens and completes the boundary of the letters, and then they are fully completed.
Before the letters, which are three lines, emerge outside of Bina to the place of ZA, they have no wholeness in them since the power of judgment in the screen of Hirik in the middle line cannot control above the place of its emergence.
When they emerged from the force and power of the Shofar—out of duress, since the sound became comprised of fire, wind, and water, out of the pressure of the judgments in the screen of Hirik in the middle line, ZA, who is called “sound,” since in the place of ZA, it has the power to control with all his might, as he is in his place—the letters were embodied, meaning they became real and were inscribed in their Partzufim.
At that time, the engraving and inscribing of the letters, each according to what it deserves, were completed and straightened in their place, since then the boundaries of each letter came into the place suitable for them.
While they were in Bina, the letters were not inscribed each in its boundaries due to the weakness of the power of the judgment in the screen of Hirik above the place of its existence. When they went out from Bina and came to the place of ZA, they were all embodied, received reality from the judgment in the screen of Hirik, and the boundary of each letter was determined.
282. This is as it is written, “The king has brought me into his chambers.” “His chambers” are hidden chambers, meaning he brought her in the concealed letters in Bina for the judgment of the screen of Hirik has no power there. “Brought me” means inside the letters of Bina to be in an ascent between them in one connection so we will have joy in You, as it is written, “we will rejoice and be glad in You.”
