Part 1:
Baal HaSulam - Shamati 86. And They Built Arei Miskenot
1.Rav’s Introduction: Yes, this is a very special article, with this article we enter the study of the longer articles of Shamati. These articles need to bring us to connection with the text, with the author with Baal HaSulam and Rabash and through them to the Creator as much as we can connect during the reading. It is very important for us to try and enter such long articles, like serious study entering our path because each article does not just give us, doesn’t just shine a small, concentrated light allowed in a certain instance, rather it explains a part of our path or perhaps our entire path. We should be following this light, this torch and see the state through it, and they built storage cities. It is a very special article I received before I knew about the Shamati articles. Rabash gave it to me sort of by chance when I was very young and I did not even ask so much, he gave it to me and I read it and I brought it back to him. I did not have any serious, faithful discernments from this article about the world, about people or the person himself. Well that was back then, today we try to enter this article more internally, deeply and try to feel ourselves inside this article. We’ll read it portion by portion. I recommend writing things down and it should always be near you, what you want to ask, what’s not clear, certain words, maybe translation. Each and everything just write it down and then we will scrutinize it and this has to be clear, what we are going through on that level and it has to be clear to everybody, if not then ask and prepare your questions. Because this is indeed an article that speaks about us, about our path, about our state and according to our height. The article keeps sending us to the Torah meaning to the sources where all those places are written and all those instances are written. We have to understand there is no history here, there is no geography here, nothing that speaks about the past rather it speaks about the path of the work of a person and how he advances from his current state. It can be Africa, South America, Asia, it doesn't matter where he is but how he advances. Time does not matter here, it could be a thousand years ago or it could be now. It speaks of a person on the spiritual path on the spiritual development because the laws of nature are the same laws for everyone and this is what we need to learn.
Reader: (05:02)
2. R. (05:32) It is one of the two, either we are building something grand, something beautiful, something good, full of glory or we do it out of blows or troubles and hunger and we feel that we are in a state of Miskenot feeling poor and meager, one of the two.
Reader continues: (06:02) “and that also implied danger and we must also understand...”
3. R. (06:20) Abraham asked the Creator, there was that instance. The Creator said I give you this special land, this special place. We are talking about a spiritual level where a person has to raise his entire group from the physical level in order to receive to a spiritual level which is in order to bestow. Abraham asked, how shall I know that I will be able to rise to that degree that I would acquire it? What did the Creator tell him …
Reader continues: (07:08) “what did the Creator reply...”
4. R. (07:27) Meaning you will rise to the new level, this spiritual level and you will be as if you do not belong there, as if you were strangers meaning that he comes to a place where he does not belong to that level. And he says, your seed shall be a stranger, your children, meaning everyone you bring into spirituality they will enter spirituality that does not belong to them and it will be very difficult for them for 400 years and they shall feel themselves as slaves. 400 we know, 4 is a complete degree from the Keter and the light expands through Hochma, Bina, Zeir Anpin, Malchut, 4 degrees. That’s why we have to go through 400 years, which means that we have to rise from Malchut back through Malchut, Zeir Anpin, Bina, Hochma and Keter is the last. The Creator told him if you will bring them to spirituality, to me, they will enter that state but they will be like strangers as if it was not theirs and slowly after 400 years of being there, they will to grow accustomed to it, they will be able to adapt themselves to the new state and they will become residents belonging to the same level.
Reader continues: (09:21)) “literal meaning is hard to understand...”
5. R. (09:40) Abraham asked how you promise me that we should reach a very high spiritual degree. A spiritual degree is called the land of Israel, land, Eretz is Ratzon desire, Israel is Yashar Kel, straight to the Creator. Meaning we will all rise together all my students with me, they will all rise to a state where they are aimed all at you. The Creator said, because they will be in exile, I am putting together such a state for you against your will, like it or not, you'll eventually come to a state that you will be close to me.
Reader continues: (10:25) “but it seems that this was a sufficient answer for him...”
6. R. (11:07) Abraham understood that the state the Creator is preparing for them is the state of exile where they feel that they're not in the right place, the place does not fit them, they do not fit the place. That state is an intermediary state and it is a good state because specifically through it they will be able to adapt themselves to a new state to a new degree meaning to spirituality. Between this feeling and the spiritual feeling of the spiritual world there has to be a transition and, in this process, those who go through this transition will feel that they are in exile, exiled from this world. They lose connection with this world, they are not like everyone, they are not interested in what is happening here to that extent and at the same time they have no grasp in the spiritual, the upper world, so in between, this is exile.
Reader continues: (12:12) “we must understand this answer...”
7. R. (12:38) Pharaoh is the representative of the Creator from the side of the will to receive, the evil inclination. How can it be that the Pharaoh is actually helping those who are under his dominion to advance towards spirituality? Of course the Pharaoh is also in the hands of the Creator, the evil inclination, the Creator created him but He acts through the Pharaoh to influence the will to receive in a person so a person won't be able to stand still. He shakes a person up, He pressures him, He does all those actions. The Creator cannot do it by himself directly rather He is doing it through His assistant, Pharaoh.
Reader continues: (13:44) “in order to understand all that...”
8. R. (14:33) This means that there are different kinds of people that reach the goal but in two directions. There are those who make it by trying and overcoming their will to receive and this is how they get to bestowal and there are those who cannot overcome could not overcome the force of reception to reach bestowal. What is happening with those? Both of them are crying meaning that the righteous who overcame the will to receive cry out, how could we actually make it and the wicked ones who did not make it say, that it did not seem so great how come we couldn’t conquer it? Meaning there are people who look at our ego, this disturbing force that’s preventing us from reaching spirituality, the feeling of wholeness eternity to rise above this world. There are people who look at this in two different ways, one sees it as easy and the other one sees it as difficult. One who works, it looks very difficult, the righteous. One who did not do any work, it seems to him that he doesn’t quite need it and it seems easy to him. But both of them cry, also there is a question, why are they crying? At least those who were rewarded, were rewarded with conquering the evil inclination and to rise above it and from that height they are not able to speak to the Creator.
Reader continues: (16:48) “One, if the evil inclination has already been slaughtered...”
9. R. (16:51) This verse is perplexing through and through and you are writing your questions down and we will get to them later, it is a long article, it is all perplexing.
Reader continues: (17:07) “One, if the evil inclination has already been slaughtered...”
10. R. (17:21) Because they reached the goal, they overcame the will to receive so by that they are happy but why are they also crying.
Reader continues: (17:33) “Three, how can there be two opinions in reality...”
11. R. (18:00) We are talking about the end of correction so how could we have people who are already at the end of correction nevertheless they are in such states that one group is happy one group is crying but both of them are at the end of correction.
Reader continues: (18:21) “he explains this with the words of our Sages...”
12. R. (19:12) It seems to us that we need to disconnect the feeling, the intellect and not follow our vessels of our mind and heart directly. Not to fight something to enter spirituality with our vessels that we understand, do we know. We develop them and then we conquer the degree. No, we don’t need to do it this way because with our vessels we can only be better on the level of this world. To rise to spirituality with totally different senses. It is like they are showing as some aliens who come from another planet or galaxy, they have different senses, they cannot connect to us and we do not understand them. Hence, here we need a higher degree, a different degree than who we are. Instead of our intellect there has to be a different intellect instead of our feeling, there will be a different feeling and we are rising from the degree that is perceived in the will to receive to a degree that we can perceive in our will to bestow. This is a huge difference in perception and understanding through our attitude and the difference between the degrees is called, that we rise from the degree of Daat reason, to faith Emunah which is above reason. If we prefer faith in place of reason, then this way we can rise to a higher degree.
Reader continues: (21:11) “it appears to us as ignominy and worthlessness...”
13. R. (21:26) Because this is not absorbed in his normal intellect and feeling that he is used to, according to our wisdom, our science that we have here on the earthly level. Spirituality is above all of it and therefore he has no grasp in it and he cannot appreciate it as well.
Reader continues: (21:55) “however it is a great and very important degree...”
14. R. (22:12) The will to receive resists faith above reason with great force because it appears unreal, illogical, it does not sound scientific, it cannot be that this is spirituality because we cannot measure it, we cannot feel it. Not in my feeling, not in my intellect I cannot weigh it, I cannot do anything with it, with spirituality. They tell us that you have to rise to new forms of measurement called the measurement of faith, of bestowal and the force of bestowal in place of the force of reception then you can feel and rank spirituality.
Reader continues: (23:09) “we must discern a Rosh head and a Guf body...”
15. R. (24:11) Can we acquire the degree of bestowal the degree of faith, we look differently at reality, we feel it differently, not as we do now. That’s why it is concealed from us this upper reality because it works according to a different set of qualities. It is bestowal giving, we lack completely according to the degree of connection between us and we are always appreciating a state according to how much I can control the state, how much I can acquire, how much I am able to fill my vessels of reception and here it is different. This is why we say that I have seen an upside-down world not spiritual, that is opposite from this world, from what we feel. What we feel is called this world and the upper world, the spiritual world is opposite to it. How can we imagine this reality, where we are in a state that is opposite to the state that we have right now? That is why the Creator arranged for us such a place, such states through which we will gradually come to know it.
Reader continues: (25:38) “the Creator answered him about this...”
16. (25:46) Meaning your desires, your deficiencies, everything you have this is called Abraham's students, it doesn’t matter, let’s even refer to it physically. You will all go through a state called the exile. You are leaving the feeling of this world gradually and gradually you are moving away from this feeling of this world and you are entering the feeling of the upper world, the spiritual world. And then what does he say...
Reader continues: (26:32) “this means he prepared a Klipa...”
17. (27:39) Meaning we have states we have to go through and we feel ourselves, not so much in the physical world but we are not yet in spirituality and in this transition, we find ourselves in the worse possible state. The people who exist in this world they live, they enjoy, they suffer, it doesn’t matter but they know where they are. And there are people who are already in the upper world in the spiritual world and they also understand where they are to some extent. Like in this world people have different degrees of presence in this world but we are neither here nor there, we have to go through such a state. I did not completely leave this world and I did not enter the spiritual world that is called the next world relative to me, the world to come. It turns out that this transition is especially unpleasant and dangerous.
Reader continues: (28:53) “the evil inclination which is to...”
18. R. (30:21) It is not so simple for us in the transition between feeling this world and the feeling of the upper world, in addition to this world we are not letting go of the feeling of this world. All these feelings along the way, they all accumulate this way together. Before we reach the next world and get to see the next world from Malchut to Bina, we are in this transition and each time during this transition it disorients us, confuses us and we find ourselves hanging between heaven and earth.
Reader continues: (31:13) “there is yet another saying in the Zohar that the serpent...”
19. R. (31:36) Meaning the serpent itself is playing with the person, which is the desire to receive, it is also in the hands of the Creator, there is None Else Besides Him. The Creator educates as this way sometimes he opens, other times he closes, the faith above reason, faith of Bina, feeling of the spiritual world, he brings it closer, conceals it, brings it closer, conceals it and this way we are building in ourselves new feelings, new sensations. That we will learn about it like little children as we teach them how to relate to everything, how to accept everything we develop in each and every one the storehouse of feelings, of understandings, the feeling and the intellect that the children have, how to relate to this, how to relate to that. Children accumulate these impressions and examinations in his feeling and intellect and accordingly he becomes qualified for life and it is the same for us in spirituality, it is exactly the same, so what can we do?
Reader continues: (32:59) “Sometimes it lets on take upon….”
20. R. (33:39) And we see it on ourselves even now, sometimes we have an opportunity to progress towards spirituality, to connection, to a certain spiritual feeling, to rise above our usual state. Then we fall back again and this means that the serpent, our desire to receive pulls us back down and what we had in spirituality, he receives it all, it fell into him. But it is not too bad, later on we receive back everything from him because we still do not know how to preserve these spiritual discernments so they would accumulate in us we cannot work in order to bestow. So we'll see shortly what it means that he will swallow it and then he will vomit it out later on, meaning our serpent swallows various spiritual details holds them in, holds them inside, preserves them and later will receive the result of everything we went through, here and there in all sorts of states. This is why it is called help against because it helps the Creator but in a seemingly opposite way.
Reader continues: (35:16) “For the Klipa knows there is no way….”
21. R. (35:30) The Pharaoh the egoistic desire to receive which is the symbol of the desire to receive specifically he is helping us here to progress the person to the Creator.
Reader continues: (35:45) “This is explained that he deliberately….”
22. R. (36:47) But why was this so, because the king of Egypt is in the transition between the Rosh and the Guf, the head and the body, this is why it is called the stiff necked, like the throat of the person. This is the area of the neck so it turns out that we need to know how to deal with it and in what it is good and what is bad and how to use it because we are under the dominion of the desire to receive after all, all of us are the desire to receive, we are all slaves to the king of Egypt.
Reader continues: (37:30) “We could also interpret Miskenot….”
23. R. (37:58) This means that for the time being while we try to approach spirituality and we are unable to do it, we draw some light from above and those lights we bring them into the desire to receive and the desire of desire to receive gets pleasure from them, it grows and this is the meaning of the king of Egypt being satisfied with the work, we are unable to do anything with it is done this way necessarily. So by collecting these small lights under the control of the king of Egypt a little more a little more, we keep in his storehouse, and later we can take everything and run away. For the time being we are accumulating the little exertions, the small lights as we are unable to do that, so it is done by the king of Egypt this is why he is called help against.
Reader continues: (39:10) “Thus the meaning of they built a Miskenot….”
24. R. (39:53) This is the difference between ascents and descents and we are in both places and it works like a pump, we pass the higher light as much as we can, they pass it to us and it goes to the king of Egypt and it goes to him against this is called help against.
Reader continues: (40:15) “Finally, they came to a determined….”
25. R. (40:48) Each time we try to get something in our understanding and feeling the progress we acquire new states but at the end of the day when we see the results, we are not seeing any results anymore.
Reader continues: (41:08) “Then their cry came unto God….”
26. R. (41:19) Then it comes to a state when there is no choice, the person cries out to the Creator and the person's cry is what obligates the Creator to take them out of Egypt, out of the desire to receive.
Reader continues: (41:37) “It turns out that before….”
27. R. (41:45) It is a lost state when they have no chance to come out and the control of the selfish ego is complete.
Reader continues: (41:57) “Therefore they will remain there forever….”
28. R. (42:09) The Creator’s help is from vessels of reception.
Reader continues: (42:23) “This is because otherwise….”
29. R. (42:45) This is clear this is what we do if we do the exact scrutiny of the state, we go through then but we have read so far, it is pretty clear this is what we are going through. There are certain states that are clear, some that are less clear but ultimately, we know ourselves through them.
Reader continues: (43:13) “Hence they were given the exile….”
30. R. (43:50) This means that nevertheless, we have to understand that that state where the person works for his beast this is how it is, for a few dozen years he is in this world and he has to care for something that will eventually die and decompose and there is nothing left from him for the eternal point in him, which is where the person is different from the animal degree. This is the Divine point from above there we have the feeling of eternity, this does not exist in animals although we are like beasts. Nevertheless we have a feeling that there is something eternal, whole above time and space and so on, this is for every human being and this is why we have to use this connection with eternity and we should not let our lives to bury us on the physical level alone, since in that we are like animals we will remain on the animate degree.
Reader continues: (45:15) “It turns out the faith they took upon….”
31. R. (45:30) If a person comes to the state that he says that he has no chance to rise from the animal degree to a higher degree, to the speaking degree where he finds this eternity, wholeness, contact with the Creator. Rather on the condition that he comes to a new quality which is the quality of bestowal then it is clear to him that this is before him, this is what is waiting for him and he has to shut his eyes and invest everything he gets into it.
Reader continues: (46:08) “this is called conditional work….”
32.. R. (46:50) We see how our ego starts to work in an opposite way by stopping us, not letting us progress to spirituality by this actually it stimulates us, aims us to spirituality but in an opposite way
Reader continues: (47:09) “Now we can understand what our sages wrote….”
33. R. (47:30) Let's stop here for now, let's see if there is anything that is completely not understood not because somebody wants to understand this more, like I see some groups want to ask, but something that is actually not clear from the foundations so that everybody can benefit from the questions.
34. S. (48:08) What actions can we do in the group to hasten that time and develop the measurements of faith above reason and bestowal so we do not stay stuck in the in-between state?
R. This Rabash writes to us, he writes what we have to do, we have to connect between us as much as we can and we have to make our connection similar to the connection of mutual bestowal. There is nothing that can be more simple or more clear or more observable and we can improve on this.
35. S. (48:59) According to the description of this article it seems that we have to go through suffering and there is no hastening time?
R. Hastening, Achishena is also in suffering is when the person wants something and he cannot realize it. This is also a feeling of suffering. I am not sure what you call suffering but then I crave for something and I make my calculations and I see that I cannot yet get it, I suffered there is a suffering of the torment of the evil inclination then I want something and there is a torment of the good information that I want to reach bestowal but I cannot get there yet.
36. S. (49:57) How does the ego prepare for spirituality in the opposite way?
R. When the ego pushes us to progress on one hand, on the other hand it shows us how much we cannot attain it with our egoistic nature, this is it, this is why it is called help against.
37. S. (59:30) Abraham asked how would I know that I can inherit the degree, how can I ask such a question that from the desire to receive expecting a reward?
R. This I do not know he asks because he wants to reach in order to bestow and he has a record from this the person works according to these records, the information that he has in it.
38. S. (51:04) How to speed up the recognition that the Pharaoh is the evil inclination because it takes the time until we recognize the king of Egypt as evil?
R. More than that it can come to the state where the king of Egypt is not only the evil information but it is actually helping in all of reality, in all the worlds, on all those degrees wherever you see. There was nothing that was created for no need but everything comes to us from the final state, from the state of completeness to our state that is not whole but incomplete. You have to understand that you have let's say, a vehicle, a car and all the systems in it are fitting each other ideally and then in order to put the car together, somebody takes it apart, brings it to your workshop in a pile of parts and it gives you the manual and you have to put it together. Meaning we come from wholeness, this is they tell us that the world was created in the Garden of Eden, with Adam HaRishon in connection with the Creator and then we fall. Then we begin to collect all the pieces and to assemble things like in a game of Legos which we buy for our kids and then we understand why it is built this way, why this exists this way.
S. How to raise the sensitivity to the present state being broken and not desired?
R. Because I need to build the desired state above it in order to go from the current state to the desirable state. I have to change my attitude where I collect the machine, the car, it doesn't matter and I assemble it, every time I add another part and other part to the structure. By this I raise myself to a new degree of the thought and the desire, they all work in order to bestow. I
seemingly need to put together this machine in such a way that all the pieces of would work in harmony between them when each part works for the other. Only this way can the parts fit together and each part there is a desire in it only work for itself and then we have to assemble it in a way into a complete system where each nullifies itself, nullifies its desire to receive and each comes to a state that they work only for the sake of the system. This is our work in effect to try to understand it, to get to know this and to change our attitude from the state where we seemingly work for ourselves to when we work for everybody and I wish to describe myself to that down to 0% until I have nothing left for myself. This is what Rabash writes about the example of a society when the person is 0 towards the others to join the system where I discover spirituality and the Creator, it is possible only with the condition that I approach the connection between us as such when I leave nothing for myself. What is left? What is left is this 0 but above this zero is already the desire to bestow, it starts to open for you, where you will attain spirituality, when you build truthful connection and you work only for the sake of the other, for everybody, this is the desire to bestow in its true expression also towards the Creator which you will call the force of bestowal.
39. S. (56:03) When the serpent lowers its head so we can feel something?
R. These are the states I do not want to go over. you will see it from experience. This is it, I do not want to get into this, I just want to show the path that he outlines and everything in the path you have to discover for yourself.
40. S. (56:43) Then we learn that Israel is in the place of mother between the head and the body, here it is mentioned in the article that Aaron is in this place. What is this place?
R. This is the place of transition from the head of the body to the body of the head, but do not be smart, just learn about what we learn. I do not want to answer questions beyond the simple understanding of the article, everything else you have to understand from implementing it in practice.
41. S. (57:29) It seems here that Egypt and the land of Israel are the same, it is just that it seems that we are preparing in Egypt and then something happens and we are in Israel?
R. Yes, it is so that state where we begin our work is the kind of work, we do when we do not know where we are this is called Babylon, then we come out of it and then we have a certain small ego that happens to us from above and they take us to what we call the land of Israel, Yashar Kel, with the intention. Then those intentions in as start to grow but we are not able to understand them, this is called the stages of the forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the three higher Sefirot working in us in such a way building in us the desire to receive and with this desire to receive we enter into the recognition that we are all selfish.
This is the meaning of physically entering Egypt and there we progress by developing our ego more and more, the ego I have received in each and every person is a beastly, physical desire, an egoistic desire that develops inside the person who enters what we call Egypt. It is a desire that goes against our spiritual development and we have to turn it into being for our spiritual development and this is how we prepare ourselves and this period is the most tasteless period. We find ourselves in it for years until our desire to receive grows and receives such qualities and such measurements that it rejects us by itself, from itself. Like the king of Egypt who eventually expels the children of Israel from within him this is how we progress, this is it.
42. S. (01:00:48) Arei Miskenot from the word, danger, what's the danger, why is the transition between this world, what in the spiritual world is dangerous?
R. It is dangerous because we can remain in the will to receive in the ego in Egypt to reach contact with the Creator. The land of Israel means the desire that is entirely taking you to the Creator, you can remain disconnected, you can remain in Egypt. That's why the state of Egypt on the one hand can be preparation for ascending towards the revelation of the Creator, on the other hand, it can be a state that remains and you remain in it and you never come out of it.
43. S. (01:02:07) What does it mean Pharaoh sucked the abundance, how did the Pharaoh take the abundance and if he's not in the equivalence of form of the Creator?
R. The person that is yearning to the Creator and seemingly connects to the group and he seemingly connects with the Creator who wants to connect with a group, this person is suddenly in desires of bestowal, he is ready for connection. Then you can say that he is close to spirituality and then he goes back again to in order to receive, to corporeality so these sorties into spirituality and back into corporeality, it's not real but nevertheless, he is in both its likes pump like piston he goes back and forth. Then where is he, where is the person himself, so he enters a certain contact, a certain spiritual desire and then he goes back to corporeality and then again goes back to bestowal and then back to corporeality.
We have to feel it, those desires that we enter spirituality, he's doing it for us, he's pulling us, he's giving us the awakening, and then we return, we grasp certain things in spirituality and we return to corporeality. By that we allow the Pharaoh to grow, let him become stronger. This is the meaning of the shells, Klipot, that suck, exploit spirituality but there is benefit in that as well because then after we accumulate such sparks of the great light inside the Klipot we show nevertheless, there is what we call, he swallowed it whole and vomited it out. The will to receive, called Pharaoh, he is swallowing all those things but later we hold on to them he will vomit it back, there is a good correct result in it, nevertheless.
44. S. (01:05:02) How will we be able to maintain the abundance and not give it to Pharaoh?
R. Try to be together, we don't have a vessel only the connection between us corporeal connection as much as we can connect between us, this is the place for looking out for preserving.
45. S. (01:05:34) What does it mean that the Rosh is knowing and the Guf is receiving?
R. So we call the structure or the egoistic Partzuf Rosh of knowing the Guf of reception, in the spiritual Parzuf the Rosh is of faith and the Guf is of bestowal.
Reader continues (01:06:03) “We know that there is a discernment….”
46. R. (01:06:44) It's not bad, all of us in the will to receive we are all egoists, each one wants for himself, this is natural, it comes from the Creator, it does not belong to a person.
Reader Continues (01:07:03) “It cannot be rejected or hated since he….”
47. R. (01:07:41) This is clear in the beginning is a very small, the tiny will to receive but later by receiving nurturing from the upper force, the will to receive grows itself, builds itself and becomes bigger, stronger and in control.
Reader continues (01:08:13) “Since it has already been revealed….”
48. R. (01:08:45) This is a critical point for us to define our will to receive as our enemy, our hater we're unable to agree with and we enter a struggle with it until we kill it, burn it, throw it out, run away from it, doesn't matter but we are losing all of our connection with it. Seemingly later from this same approach it's possible to perform other acts that each one can profit, but first of all to hate it as much as possible. This means that we come to restriction. We won’t use the will to receive for the move to receive for its own benefit.
Reader continues (01:09:49) “It follows that the benefit….”
49. R. (01:10:50:) Meaning what's the difference between when we enter the feeling of the ego and how we come out of the ego, it's only in starting to know this ego is dominating us and not letting us come into contact with the Creator, it's not like we want the Creator to be internal, whole. Rather we also need to change our attitude towards spirituality, it's not in order for us to enter the eternity, wholeness, all the abundance this is why we want all of it but rather in order to appreciate the quality of bestowal by itself, how much this quality by itself is special and we want to be in it only in order to be in it this means without receiving anything back for himself.
Reader continues (01:12:05) “This is the meaning of what….”
50. R. (01:14:39) Whereas now, they don’t see it because it is that small.
Reader continues (01:14:45) Whereas now it doesn’t seem….”
51. R. (01:15:45) Which compels them to work.
Reader continues (01:15:50) “That will be distinguished as a sin….”
52. R. (01:15:58) From spirituality, from bestowal.
Reader continues (01:16:01) “where there is still disparity of form….”
53. R. (01:16:50:) In other words if it's in order to bestow all you don't work out of fear in order to gain something, we don't even understand the concept in order to bestow, spirituality, it's not when you're obligated not from the perspective of the bad or the good side. You just choose this operation, this way because it has a higher value, it has nothing to do with your heart or your mind or your current level, but on a higher level.
Reader continues (01:17:28) “The evidence of this is that they see….”
54. R. (01:17:49) But of course it all happens in one body, wicked or righteous, those who succeed, those who don't succeed, it is all happening in one person.
Reader continues (01:18:01) “It follows that the righteous receive the strength….”
55. R. (01:18:52) And we learn it all specifically through the wicked, through the Klipot, the shells, the bad, the states we go through they teach us.
Reader continues (01:19:04) “regarding these crying and those….”
56. R. (01:24:30) Ok, this is the article, it's a very special article. I said that Rabash gave it to me when I didn't understand anything in it but he said just read and it was the very beginning of my path, maybe after a few months of being there in his place. What can I say, we need to go back to this article more than once because it tells the whole process that we go through before Egypt, in Egypt and after Egypt. Meaning how we go through this period when we elevate ourselves from the sensation of this world, from the governance of the evil inclination above us to the spiritual feeling to when the Creator governs us. The good inclination, that we surrender before him and we don't want it, otherwise, we will get back to it, but I'm happy that we have finished it. Now at least kind of in a literal way we will go over it again and again till you get through this article, you can scribble around it, you can draw, mark important points and this way work with the text.
57. S. (01:26:25) So it turns out that if we don't correct ourselves in time?
R. Yes, it's not like we can't connect it corrects it afterwards but that correction happens to additional operations.
58. S. (01:26:53) Thank you good morning can a person skip over all the states we read about?
R. We can’t skip over all of those states we read about but we can go through them quickly, there are as stages that bring us to Dvekut.
59. S. (01:27:26) Why is there resistance inside us to enter spirituality?
R. Our desire is opposite from spirituality. We work according to the will to receive and according to spirituality it is according to the will to bestow, they are opposites Malchut and Bina, those two things are opposite and we have to try to shift all of our coarseness from Malchut to Bina.
60. S. (01:28:03) It’s written that's not from coercion like we had before cause we have the evil inclination and now, we see that it's worse working in bestowal. How can you work without the evil inclination?
R. When we get to it you will see.
61. S. (01:28:34) It turns out that eventually I will build these cities and Pharaoh will take the forces from me and it seems like….?
R. You guys are getting smart, you don't understand what it's about and you're already asking about it. What I recommend is to go over this article until you know it thoroughly, not understand but know what is written superficially.
62. S. (01:29:23) How does the will to receive decide that receiving is a sin if it is it's nature?
R. By seeing that it cannot approach the Creator in the will to receive there is no lowliness except towards the Creator because we can’t get closer to Him according to the law of equivalence of form.
63. S. (01:30:10) If we have a decision to come out of the will to receive, how can we remain in that decision?
R. Only through the society when one jumps up and down only through the society, so altogether our connection can be up in the air.
64. S. (01:30:36) If we reach a state that we are not obligated to the good or the bad so how do we work, from what force?
R. We then, I'm not sure they're asking about that, then we work from the middle third of Tifferet, the middle line, which really brings us to a higher, more important level than our state.
65. S. (01:31:14) If every man is the righteous and the wicked, so what's the state that the righteous and the wicked cry?
R. This we need to understand from the article I'm not going to interpret, read it 10 times and maybe you will understand it.
S. There's more...
R. I understand there is more, the question is if it's important.
