Part 1

1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes. We need to actually feel that everyday we are in Yom Kippur, the day of atonement because it’s a day of calculation: who am I, what am I, who am I drawn to, what’s happening with me, what has happened and what do I want to happen? Meaning a day of judgment, that I’m in a trial according to my opinion, where am I turning to, where am I going? And so we have in each day something of this day of atonement, and it’s truly such that in each day we have something from all states. Just as there are days in the year in which we intentionally and specifically need to be truly engaged in a certain topic from all the states that we are in over the course of all the days of the year, and to emphasize it, to feel it, to debate it, discuss it, and this is what we see during our arrangement. So this is a special day of the year, I would say it is the most important day of judgment; the day in which we need to feel how much we judge ourselves and how suitable we are to reach the purpose of creation, to adhesion with the Creator and how much we are asking of Him to help us in this, to bring us closer.

Simply that we should open up our eyes and hearts so we feel where we are because usually a person doesn’t feel his inner desire, that he needs to correct it. And here we are asking of the Creator to open up our hearts and help us to understand what is inside our heart, how distant we are from the goal and to what extent we need to subjugate ourselves, to desire the correct thing. How much we need to request of the Creator to do this work upon us, that He shall open up our hearts and minds and thoughts and desires and all that we have, so that we shall see in a true manner a most open manner who we are and where we are aimed at, where we are directed to. Thus Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, is a special day that allows us to deepen in these sensations. Let's hope that we’ll advance to feel the essence of this day and as a result correct our direction even more in our development and reach the goal.

Reading 5. Twice (04:32)

2. R. (05:53) This is in each and everyone for this request, for this scrutiny, for this yearning, there is no limit, the limit is the end of correction. But the lack of the sensation of the greatness of the Creator, the glory of the heavens and the fear and subjugation, these are matters that have no measure, they’re without an end. So we can always be in scrutiny and request to receive the dominance of the Creator upon us and strengthen in faith. Meaning to be devoted to the upper force in all of our ability, in all heart and soul. That’s what’s written.

Rav reads: Because he has no feeling of the greatness of the Creator, he has no feeling of the Creator and because he does not know how to appreciate the glory of Heaven, the glory of the Creator, there is no sensation of the greatness of the Creator so he does not have the glory of the Creator, the sensation and how not to harm it, he can’t stop himself because there is a lack of sensation. It’s like a little child that is walking around between the adults, he doesn't really pay attention to them although they are bigger but he doesn’t feel them. Therefore he asks for forgiveness from the Creator to help him and give him the strength to take upon himself the burden of the kingdom of heaven above reason, that reason he doesn’t have, connection he doesn't have, sensation he doesn’t have, but that he should have above all this. He asks the Creator to give him, meaning to have the power to overcome and strengthen in faith in the Creator. Faith In the Creator is sensation of the Creator and this is what we are asking for, that then we’ll have the sensation of the glory, honor, the greatness of the Creator, I will have everything then. I need only the sensation of faith.

3. S. (09:14) What does it mean to appreciate the greatness of the Creator?

R. Greatness, that the Creator is the only force that exists. Let's say that you’re a small child and you have a caretaker and she is taking care of you all the time. She belongs only to you and she is working with you all the time, she’s playing with you, filling you with everything you need, traveling around with you, it’s all her. This is how the Creator is with us. In everything that He created in us, all sorts of engagements and games, all sorts of things. He’s given us all kinds of lacks and desires. He is doing all this in order to be in connection with us, He has no other need. And so we need from all our engagements and everything we have to see how much through all this we can become connected with Him.

S. This connection with Him and appreciation of His importance, that can be done only in faith above reason?

R. Of course, that we should have the force of bestowal above the force of reception. That in this force if we have it we will be able to feel Him, understand Him, be in connection with Him, in a mutual connection, I for my beloved and my beloved for me. Because it’s all in faith above reason, in force of bestowal above force of reception.

S. It is just in the example of the educator, as a baby I received from the teacher and then the caretaker but here it’s something else.

R. You do not need anything for the Creator, it’s all for your benefit. If you just get to know how He’s all for you, how you are just receiving from Him. He is not receiving anything from you and he doesn't need it, he doesn’t have a lack. All His desire is only to fill you with all good. So for this you need just to feel that it’s all good, yes that it’s all truly good. You need just to arrange your desires that they will be in the intention to bestow, otherwise you won’t feel that it’s good. You need to reach equivalence of form with Him, that what’s good for Him is also good for you and then in such a manner you reach a state that’s like him, you gradually rise to his degree.

S. Good for Him is that He can bestow to me.

R. The Creator doesn’t need to give to anyone anything, he doesn’t need to be given anything by anyone. He doesn't have a lack, He has a desire to give but he is not suffering from this, that we take it or not. We just speak like this in our language because this is how we speak but the Creator does not have a lack. Thus, don't do Him a favor, although sometimes we speak in this manner as if we’re doing a favor for the Creator in this that we receive from Him.

4. S. (13:39) How do we achieve the quality of faith in the work?

R. By this, that make a good connection with our environment, with our ten and we ask the Creator to give us the ability to bestow to our friends, to adhere to them, to be connected with them and then we reach the force of faith. The force of faith is the force of bestowal.

5. S. (14:26) To be in faith above reason, is it about being in the moment, to recognise that the Creator is doing everything and everything is just with good intentions, we just need to accept it and follow that way? Because I cannot make any plans, everything is done by Him. So if I nullify, to that it should be faith above reason, and we should keep each other in this thought and action.

R. Ultimately this is correct. We spoke about this all the time and now you are also saying it.

6. S. (15:29) We have all these students here and it says we have no feeling of the greatness of the Creator. What is it that we have a feeling of that keeps us coming back and keeps us wanting to attain equivalence of form? What is it, what is this feeling that we have?

R. A person needs to depict to himself that he is under the control of the Creator, that is doing everything, fulfilling everything, manipulating everything and that there is None Else Besides Him and He is the good that does good only. What seems to the person that there are other forces, this is the person's ego; and that not all the forces are good, this is what seems to the person, this is also his ego; and that he is not in good connection with others, this is also his ego. With the forces we need to see that He is the good who does good to the good and the bad and is manipulating everything, all the worlds and watching over each moment of our life. If we’ll make an effort to feel Him in such a manner then we will reach a state that we will truly reveal Him and then adhere to Him. But for this we need to be in the force of bestowal as much as possible, to get closer to the Creator. And the force of bestowal we receive from this that we make the effort to connect in our tens.

7. S. (17:34) [no translation]

R. To make an effort to feel.

S. [no translation]

R. Then you have to try to get closer to the friends to serve them as much as possible, to be closer to them, this is all.

8. S. (18:21) What is the fault in the excerpt #5, what does he want forgiveness for, what did he do wrong?

R. That he did not pay attention that the Creator manipulated everything for him and so he needs to turn only to this and not to all sorts of other sources for his life, for his fate. Only the Creator is above me and I receive everything from Him. So we receive forgiveness for this, that we did not sufficiently see Him as the upper one, the only one that manages us, that we don’t see the Creator in this manner. We forget about it, we look down at it and so on. And it’s all from lack of sensation which is called lack of faith.

Reading 6. Twice (19:45)

9. S. (22:47) Why do we need to ask forgiveness from the Creator to help us on the day of atonement and He doesn’t help us Himself?

R. Not only on the day of atonement, we actually need to ask everyday. But there is a special time in the year in which we truly focus on our requests towards the Creator to forgive us, to correct us, to manipulate us in the correct direction and so on. This state needs to be at least in something on a daily basis. But once a year we devote a whole day for it.

10. S. (23:39) Can we ask the Creator to forgive the sins of the friends?

R. Try. One who prays for his friend is rewarded first, so there is no problem. Of course we can request on the friends and that’s preferable instead of requesting on ourselves.

11. S. (24:12) If the Creator does not have a lack, why did He create the created beings and why do we say that the cow wants to feed more than that calf wants to suckle?

R. The Creator wants to give and this is what we respect in the mother, in each person who wants to give. This is the unique attitude that there is from one person to another.

12. S. (24:51) In what way or with what actions do we ask for forgiveness?

R. The forgiveness is on that we could not open ourselves up and give one another as was truly supposed to be.

13. S. (25:15) Do we ask forgiveness only one time or infinite times?

R. We always need to be composed of something from the sensation of forgiveness, in the attitude of forgiveness towards everyone. I am responsible for my good attitude towards everyone just like each and every person towards the others from the system of Adam HaRishon that was broken. So actually within me, in my heart I’m requesting forgiveness for the whole world, that I didn’t give and I have my part in the whole world why it’s broken and that I am not hastening to correct it.

14. S. (26:10) To ask for forgiveness what should be the form of the request? Is it through some charity of sorts? What does it mean to ask for forgiveness from the Creator? We have nothing in life.

R. We have a special force called the Creator that is willing to do everything according to how much we ask and how we ask, to the extent that our request will be a correct, true, purposeful request. Thus we need to request, we need to ask forgiveness that we didn’t bring ourselves together, that we didn’t find within ourselves the correct sentences with which to turn to the Creator despite that He reads what’s in our heart. That in our heart we don't sufficiently feel sorrow for the whole world that’s not preparing itself for the Creator. The Creator doesn’t demand anything from us except that we shall prepare our hearts in order to receive all good from Him, a fulfillment. And on this we are requesting forgiveness. That the Creator will forgive us that we did not prepare our hearts to receive all the good from Him.

S. Can we say that we are building a demand towards connecting with the Creator in our connection?

R. Correct.

14. (28:16) S. How can I really check each and every day that I am not harming my attitude to the Creator?

R. Through the friends. All the scrutinies, the checks, are all through the friends. You cannot, otherwise you have no other mechanism.

15. S. (28:40) In the text we read that if he is willing to do everything for the sake of the Creator and not for his own sake, this is a dream, this is a prayer. That I am willing but as much as I try to do this I just find that I am getting worse and worse, so what can I do?

R. We ask all the time in request and prayer, that’s it. And to the extent we feel ourselves even more distant from the Creator that’s actually a sign of nearing, that then I feel just how opposite I am from Him.

16. S. (29:41) I am willing to bestow to the Creator only in small bits so what is next?

R. Bestow, bestow all the time in small parts.

S. When I look at where I am as opposed to what I think I see I’m very far from working with all of my desires. So should I try to collect these crumbs of bestowal bit by bit or try to ask for all the desires?

R. No, to organize a prayer on all of your desires you won’t be able to, work on crumbs but all the time like this. Just like you see birds or doves eating bit by bit, this is how it is. And you see how they have by what to fill themselves.

17. S. (30:50) It is the only sin that we don’t remind the ten that there is None Else Besides Him and He is doing both good and evil.

R. Yes.

S. And we should ask for correction. That should be the only sin.

R. Yes.

18. S. (31:25) Do we need to always consider ourselves as sinners? Is the righteous also a sinner?

R. Yes, the sins can be only by the righteous. The wicked don't feel the sins and they feel themselves as righteous. And only the righteous to the extent that they are righteous thus they feel themselves in sin.

19. S. (32:10) At the end he writes that all the sinners that are revealed he has to correct them. These Reshimot have to come back at once or bit by bit?

R. This way and that. The main thing do not disconnect from the appeal to the Creator, from prayer to the Creator.

20. S. (32:40) The process of Yom Kippur, the day of atonement happens for us on every level on every gathering every time we try to enter spirituality. I heard you say that it is also a day of the year on the calendar. What does it mean that in the ten we can ask forgiveness for a whole day? How do you do it and what does it mean?

R. There is also the matter of connection, thoughts, desires and yearnings of people who on special days and in special times they connect and they want something. And these desires operate in a mutual manner, one on another and as a result in these days it is felt as a special state, a special state. Nonetheless, you have millions of people who are thinking about turning to the Creator and requesting forgiveness from Him and want to feel in what they are sinning and how not to sin. Even if they don’t know, on this they are not far from the truth. There is still some request, prayer, special connection from between them and the Creator, and these states even in a simple manner they operate as well.

S. So in some way we need to include all the people who feel this day together?

R. This is how we also speak in the prayer, on the righteous and on the wicked and also on ourselves. We want to include everyone including the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, it doesn't matter who or what, everyone, everyone. We want to raise a request for everyone.

21. S. (35:05) In the ten I try to connect. In our reality that is outside of the ten to me it’s difficult to feel that I can forgive. There is inner internal sorrow and anger that my loved ones were hurt and it influences me. Sometimes I say okay, I’ll justify but again it seems to awaken. What do I do?

R. What to do? You have not what to do. The Creator does everything, He takes a person through all these states, what a person goes through and there is None Else Besides Him. We have set times in which we need to be in sorrow but only a set time and not more, like a measured time. Nonetheless not to exit the state of there is None Else Besides Him.

S. Where is the forgiveness that I need to ask of the Creator? I need to ask for forgiveness because what, what am I not doing right?

R. That you are still not adhered to Him in everything that He is passing on to you. You feel the world, the world you feel inside yourselves inside your thoughts and desires, that’s the sensation of the world. And when you feel the world you don’t agree with it in all sorts of states and manners. On this you need to request forgiveness both in the private manner and in the general manner. I have nothing more to add.

22. S. (37:40) You gave an example of a little child walking among the adults and he does not really feel what’s going around him. Why does a person need to ask for forgiveness for not being sensitive for what the upper one is giving him?

R. But the person can raise his sensitivity. This child needs a few more years to become an adult, to be closer to the adults. And he will also look at different children bothering him, running around and playing with him. So we need nonetheless to make an effort to become big.

S. On what exactly are we sorry?

R. Sorry that according to my sensation and mind I am small.

S. How is the reception of the sensation of forgiveness? How do we feel the sensation of forgiveness?

R. I cannot tell you. Simply you will feel that first of all you can agree with the Creator and get closer to Him and in something to adhere to Him.

Reading 7: Rabash - Article : 890 "The Sorrow of the Shechina -2" Twice (39:30)

23. R. (39:48) This is the prayer of Yom Kippur.

24. S. (41:44) It is not so clear here, we should explain that the sin is in this? That he says that “there is an evil inclination”, what is the sin here?

R. There is no evil inclination. There is the Creator which is awakening in us by all sorts of forces and we need to be aimed towards Him all the time for no other reason, only to the upper force and there is None Else Besides Him.

S. What does the person need to discuss it himself?

R. You used to ascribe all sorts of actions and events to the forces of nature and not to the force of the Creator, if you describe everything to the Creator you have no mistake and you are adhered to him.

S. How to correctly be in such a stream, in such a flow in which there will be no mistakes in me?

R. Until all that friends will be connected together with you and the entire Ten will think in this manner then everybody will be in this but not beforehand.

S. We will connect in the Ten with the friends and connect together ,so what needs to happen this flow needs to draw all of us and then no one will have anything private and then we won't be able to make mistakes in this connection.

R. Wonderful, yes I am happy to hear this from you.

S. I am talking about something theoretical but practically?

R. Just continue and always think about it and some push friends to this and you will see how you will all advance to realization. Truly the good does good and there is None Else Beside Him and there are no sins rather the sins is about disconnecting from the Creator based on the same rule, None Else Besides Him, disconnecting from Him is what we call sins. This is the root of all sins that everything that comes from it is only from disconnecting from None Else Beside Him. You stopped holding Him as the one who holds you.

25. S. (44:55) At the moment I feel no love for my friends despite that I am trying. What is the reason it is happening? What should I do?

R. Why is it happening? The Creator created this desire to receive in me. Perhaps all the friends seem to me like they love each other or are connected to each other and I am not, what can I do? I have a stony heart and I cannot come closer to my friends. I can cry about this but nothing is going to help for now. They are closer to each other and I am outside. This is a problem, but still there is no such thing that I leave the path and I am just expecting each and every day that the Creator will correct my heart. My heart is in HIs hands and He will do it based on my request. Continue with your request.

26. S. (46: 45 ) Every Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, I have a hard time finding this point of forgiveness. You are saying that this is the point that the Creator gave us in choice and in our control and from there we are requesting forgiveness?

R. Look for it. Look for it. I do not want to add anything to this, it is your own work.

27. S. (47:22) Regarding the action of correction, how do we begin such an action? Is it in stages, in strides?

R. The action of correction is that I get closer to the Creator. That is my whole collection.

S. It is like in intensities until the end, until I truly feel it close, this is the end of correction?

R. Yes.

28. S. (48:00) If I say that I am not ok and that I did something not ok. that is also a sin?

R. Yes, you are admitting the sin.

S. I thought that he said that we have to request forgiveness because I did not ascribe things to the Creator or I am ascrining to myself that I didn't do enough?

R. Keep thinking what makes you feel that you are a sinner, how are you far from the Creator, what have you done to get closer to him and then it will become clear to you what to ask. But even before that know that 'I seek my brethren" meaning you have to ask for all the friends that the Creator will bring them closer to you or you closer to them, that you will all be bonded adhering to each other as one man with one heart . In that single heart, then together you can invite the Creator, ask for connection with him. This is how it works. First you need to connect from the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator. First we connect between us and only through the center of connection between us we aim ourselves to the Creator.

Excerpt 8 " Babylonian Talmud, Masechet Yoma," (50:05 - 50:52)

29. R. (50:23) Between man and the Creator, that a person disregarding the Creator, does not turn to the Creator, not paying attention to the Creator so the Day of Atonement atones meaning not to worry, the day comes and it is erased but,

30. R. (50:23) So if you want to get closer to your friend, you have to really get closer and ask him for forgiveness, and somehow be closer and open his heart, embrace him, ask for forgiveness as much as possible and thus way you will become worthy of asking for forgiveness and a response from the Creator; but before that, towards the friends, this is how you have to organize yourself.

31. S. (51:42) According to this excerpt, is Yom Kippur the same stage in which we understand and feel that in order to advance more we need the connection with the friends, is this that stage of recognition that is blocking me on the path?

R. Yes the Day of Atonement is like some sign on the path that once in a while we have to get back to, and this way we advance, it is a’ judgment day’ in a sense that you make a calculation, the person on the path sometimes needs to settle down and the judge himself: where am I, how am I relate to myself, to my life and everything and this is called the Day of Atonement.

S. In Yom Kippur, usually we emphasize the matter of connection between people, between the person and his friends, so by specifically on the Day of Atonement, what is this stage that happens in the person's heart in the ten?

R. Because without it we cannot approach the Creator, we cannot receive the atonement from the Creator, the forgiveness cannot be accepted and I cannot advance if I don’t settle my relationship with the creative beings, at least with the friends in the ten. I have to be inside the tens, connected with all my friends from heart to heart, as a single heart. And it’s impossible to have in our heart, some part or a corners, let’s say, that I hide from the friends, it has to be completely open. The soul, as we call it, has to be open to all the friends, that we have to connect all our individual souls to a single soul and then turn that collective, connected soul to one Creator.

32. S. (54:21) When I feel myself closer to the Creator, I feel myself not worthy, how can I adhere to the Creator if I feel that I am sinning?

R. It doesn't matter if I'm sinning or not, I am anyway closer to the Creator like a child is close to his mother, I am close, I have nobody else to turn to. There is no other force that can correct and change me. Image to yourself that as you were born from your mother, let's say and that you now discover in yourself all sorts of unpleasant and incorrect aspect of your qualities and your character and behavior and you have somebody to turn to. So you turn to your mother and your mother sorts it out for you, out of her love for you. So she did not simply give birth to you but she is also willing, thought her life as much as she has the power to invest in you, this is how the Creator is with us but here the question is different: that we need to ask from Him first.

33. S. (56:08) The way to the friends heart, let's say, . . . (translation fell out)

R. Yes, of course, we just have to say that between us to all the friends that we have nothing left, just as we want to be human beings meaning become parts of the Creator working together with Him on the correction of the world, and this is why we have to connect between us in all our possible strength that we can find in ourselves. Or we’re just descending onto the level of beast, that everybody is just thinking about his convenient and that's it, they do not have more than that, until we get closer and closer to the Creator and begin to become similar to Him, similar meaning that we begin to care for all the people of the world, for all people. That the want there to be peace in the world, connection in the world, that everybody would be ‘as one man with one heart’, and we will all reveal the Creator in a complete and whole form and by this we truly bring Him contentment.

34. S. (57:58) So it turns out that the sin is created only for us to have free choice and request forgiveness?

R. Of course, yes, the Creator generally didn't even create evil, it's only for us to imagine it and then rise above it, that is what is written.

35. S. (58:37) What do I need to do in order to make the friends happy?

R. Help them in any way you can to connect.

36. S. (58:52) In my request for forgiveness, I need to express the sin or the remorse for what was done?

R. No, usually we only have to ask for the good, but as you ask for the good you are also including the bad that you discovered.

37. S. (59:23) There is sin in the action or is the sin entirely in thought? Is the only sin in not ascribing everything to the Creator?

R. That is the center and source of the sin, that you are not relating something to the Creator, but beyond that emerge all kinds of other bad incorrect consequences.

38. S. (59:54) If it's written the Creator created the evil inclination, and the sin is believing that there is an evil inclination, that there is only the Creator, so what did the Creator create?

R. The Creator created man who thinks he possesses an evil inclination.

Excerpt 9 :What Is the Meaning of Failure in the Work?” (01:03:28 - 01:05:12) Twice

39. R. (01:05:15) Yes, well that's clear to us: everything is coming from the Creator including what he calls ‘the evil inclination’, “I created the evil inclination”.

Excerpt 10: "What Is the Meaning of Failure in the Work?” (01:05:27 - 01:07:59) Twice

40. R. (01:08:00) This is called “faith”, feeling the godliness in the personal way that the person feels it.

Reader continues (01:08:12 - 01:08:41)

41. R. (01:08:43) That each one comes to such a form of connection with the Creator, then the general flaw called ‘the flaw of the Tree of Knowledge’ will be corrected.

42. S. (01:09:01) What does it mean that you shouldn't be of need of the others, have faith from the whole of Israel?

R. It is general faith, let's say, that a person needs to reach a point where personally he feels that the Creator is, what is called “God”, that the upper force that governs him, that dwells on him and that he is attached to, that the person is attached to it. That is the kind of relationship a person must achieve, as it says “that you will not have other gods”.

43. S. (01:09:56) If everything we went through good or bad, we need to say, None Else besides Him, how can we request forgiveness on the past?

R. I ask for forgiveness for the pats as I asked for the present, because basically, what is the problem? That I'm saying that in the past, we can’t say there was even my force but only None Else besides Him? So I ask for forgiveness that I wasn't in None Else besides Him and therefore, now, I ask for forgiveness. Altogether what we arrived at on the Day of Atonement, and coming closer towards Rosh HaShana, Sukkot, all those states is determining that the Creator governs everything. Here we ask for forgiveness for all the states and all the times, it's not that I ask for the past, “forgive me for being in that”, of course it's up to the Creator who put me through all those states. I am asking for forgiveness as a correction for today, that if I asked for forgiveness that means I am correcting my Kli, it doesn't matter if it happened before or happening now or will happen later maybe, I am asking for forgiveness with regards to my attitude towards None Else Besides Him.

44. S. (01:11:53) It's not so clear here, it turns out the person lost faith in the Creator?

R. Certainly all of our problem is lack of faith, it's ultimately lack of feeling of the Creator, the lack of the sensation of the Creator inside the person. If the Creator would I would fulfill our vessels based on equivalence of form between man and the Creator then everything would be fine, we would be living in that by way of adhesion.

45. S. (01:12:41) It’s written in excerpt nine and ten that ”a person needs to believe”, and it's also writing that” a person cannot believe because he does not have the force of faith because he is broken”, he’s after the shattering already?

R. Yes he doesn't have a feeling of the Creator.

S. There’s no sensation of the Creator but he needs to believe.

R. How can he have faith if he doesn't have the feeling of the Creator?

S. Exactly the question?

R. There is no question, he doesn't have it.

S. He needs to?

R. He should ask for it, he should make actions towards that, he should try to get closer to that so he will have the power of faith.

S. That's exactly the question, what’s the sin on?

R. Not asking, that you haven't asked.

46. S. (01:13:43) I want to ask about the Tzimtzum, is that only in order to develop faith above reason?

R. Yes, all the actions the Creator did were so that we would be able to acquire the quality of faith above reason, meaning to go from the nature receiving to the nature of bestowal, to go from Malchut to Bina.

47. S. (01:14:41) If the Creator doesn't have a deficiency, like we said, so that forgiveness is for me or for the Creator?

R. Of course it's for you.

S. And asking for forgiveness for friend is for me or for the friend?

R. Also for you because everything belongs to your vessels, to your uncorrected vessels to some extent in some way, shape or form, and you are correcting them.

48. S. (01:15:13) You explained a few moments ago that forgiveness is not for something that happened in the past, it’s for correcting the vessels, what does it mean?

R. Well, it seems to us that I'm asking forgiveness for the past, why was I like this or like that but in truth it's not the past, there is no past, present, or future in our vessels, but only the states of the vessels.

S. So what is it to correct the vessels that I feel sorry?

R. That we want to get rid of in order to receive.

49. S. (01:16:27) We just read an excerpt number ten that a person should have a feeling individually and we attain the vessel in the ten, so the deficiency is always attained through the ten but the feeling is through the individual, that's what I can understand from this?

R. Also the feeling is not individual, although we feel it that it is coming to us personally, to each and everyone of us for the time being, but the feeling is also already in the ten, you can't have personal fulfilment in a person, it cannot be. There has to be ten Sefirot, there has to be connected qualities, and then between the connected qualities you find the Creator, the light, the upper light that fills the vessel.

S. So what does it mean to feel Divinity in the private way, just my own feelings?

R. Yes, that’s for the time being.

50. S. (01:17:40) What was the sin that Adam HaRishon did?

R. He was created with the force of bestowal and it drew the force of reception for itself, for himself, and he answered the will in order to receive, the desire to receive, that is called to sin: that he use the quality of in order to receive. And then the upper light that used to fill his vessel departed from him and he remained empty. This is the state of Adam HaRishon after the sin, how he's desires all became in order to receive and all the desires remained empty.

51. S. (01:19:19) There is a feeling that the Creator has to ask for forgiveness from me, is it the right way to think?

R. Certainly if you are an egoist, if you are in order to receive, then you have a correct feeling.

S. So I can demand of Him to ask for forgiveness from me?

R. Do what you want, you are righteous, you're justifying your right.

S. But He caused all the sins, He caused the shattering and the suffering I feel?

R. So what, what about it?

S. He is guilty about all the suffering and sins, He’s the sinner, the Creator?

R. Okay, so what?

S. So who should ask forgiveness from whom?

R. But that’s not what the forgiveness is about, we’re talking about how to use our nature in a certain way in order to reach the good, that it. It’s like you're getting your kid a game, some blocks that he has to put together to build a house. You don’t buy him a ready-made house, you buy something that’s already taken apart, why don't you like him, don’t you love him? No, you wish to teach him the laws of creation.

52. S. (01:21:01) How can I constantly hold my direction towards the Creator, is there a way to do it constantly?

R. Faith is called ‘the force of bestowal in the person’ and according to the force of bestowal that's present in him, accordingly he relates to others and the Creator. So that is what we have to ask about, for the Creator to give us the force of faith, it’s the force of Bina.

53. S. (01:21:52) Is the sin mentioned in the excepts part or all of the sin of the Tree of Knowledge?

R. The entire sin of the Tree of Knowledge is when the desire to bestow got the intention to receive and our correction is the reverse of that, to draw the power of the Creator, what we call the reforming light, the upper light, to perform the opposite action, to have the intention in order to bestow.

54. S. (01:22:51) Can you explain: what is the same between the man and his friends? Why does it harm the Creator, where does it touch the Creator?

R. It's a sort of a prelude, a preparation between a person and the Creator by approaching the friend, nearing the friends mutually when we see what states we find ourselves in with the friends, how much I'm ready to bestow to them and to be together with them, to embrace them, to connect with them in one heart as one man. By that I begin to feel just how coming closer to the Creator, we cannot come closer to the Creator except through those actions to bring us closer to the friends.

S. What is the main sin of a person?

R. The main sin is that he doesn't want to see how distant, remote he is from his friends, that is the foundation like a correction.

S. And how do you correct that in the ten?

R. Pay attention to it as much as possible that I do it today, am I going to do it, am I coming out of the house, am I making it to the lesson, all kinds of knooks and crannies in my observations, I check how much I'm actually coming closer to the friends. It might be something you don't see on the other side, it might be something you don't always feel, just like the students of Rabbi Shimon that had great deal of hate between them sometimes but that's how it should be. All the corrections are there, all the corrections are in that, look what is happening today in the world, everything is right before the grave correction.

S. That corrects the sin of shame, what we doing the ten?

R. It corrects the sin of shame? Shame is not a sin, shame is a sign, a symbol, the sin is in us rejecting one another.

55. S. (01:25:44) The purpose of asking for forgiveness is to disconnect from the will to receive right? So I can’t do it. When I'm trying to ask for forgiveness, to feel remorse for the will to receive or my attitude to the friends I lose the motivation in the will to receive while doing it.

R. That's okay. On that you have to ask for correction, meaning you are drawn to the friends to certain actions and inside you feel, you discover that you are doing it because it benefits you personally. So you have to ask for correction on that precisely. That you want to do the same but now with the intention to receive.

S. This request what you said, it has to come from the depths of the heart right?

R. Yes.

S. So it doesn't work.

R. Ask for that as well, ask for that as well. What’s the problem?

S. Sometimes we say to put the focus on the friends not on yourself.

R. No, don't run away from it. If you feel the root of your sin, the rejection the repulsion from the friends don't run away from it, ask for correction on that. The Creator is omnipotent, He will do everything.

56. S. (01:27:30) How to ask correctly for faith above reason?

R. I want that the force of bestowal in me will be stronger more powerful, ruling higher than the force of reception in me.

S. Where are the friends here?

R. You can add to the same question the friends, the group, everyone. I gave you a short sentence.

S. Is there a degree where I want the force of bestowal so I can bestow to the friends and afterwards supposedly together we need to bestow to the Creator?

R. Of course. Take a piece of paper write down the prayer, have several sentences connected and you will see. You will see how it's works, there’s no problem.

57. S. (01:29:03) I heard you talk about the level of Bina. Is it correct that when all the ten justifies the Creator as None Else Besides Him that we reach the level of Bina? Is that the condition?

R. Yes. Even if He takes your life you have to justify Him.

58. S. (01:29:52) In excerpt 5 what does it mean to work the Creator in small portions?

R. Small portions, small measures? A person has to ask about small portions in his work so he will be able to overcome, to reach faith and justify the Creator.

59. S. (01:30:31) It's feels like the true prayer is for faith. That faith will help us feel that everything in providence is for our benefit. So why should we ask for forgiveness if the root of the problem is lack of faith?

R. Lack of faith, of course we lack nothing else. Faith is the force of bestowal, we don't need anything else. To the extent that our force of bestowal will be adhered to the Creator, similar to the Creator we’ll be in equivalence of form with Him.

60. S. (01:31:12) Where does faith comes from?

R. Faith comes from above. This is the upper illumination the upper light that influences a person and then a person acquires the force of faith, of bestowal.

61. S. (01:31:33) If I don't feel a need to ask for forgiveness from the Creator can I say that is the sin?

R. It's not yet the sin but in truth we have to reach a prayer either way. In any case we have to reach a prayer.

62. S. (01:32:01) What is the difference between the evil inclination that the Creator created to the evil that a person must repent from?

R. It’s only differences in size and scale.

63. S. (01:32:19) Should I ask for forgiveness from myself or for my friends?

R. For your friend's. I wish to be adhered to the friends and this is the only thing in which I see my spiritual future.

64. S. (01:32:41) About forgiveness should I try and understand my relationships with every friend in the ten and reach a feeling of forgiveness for every friend separately?

R. Each friend separately and for all the friends together.

65. S. (01:33:06) If it will benefit the ten, would it be good for the friends to meet and ask for forgiveness in that meeting?

R. Of course please, as much as you have time it's very good. Connect men in your group, women in your group, turn to the Creator and ask Him, talk to Him. Believe me when I tell you that He hears what you are going to say. And if you will come more or less to some agreement between you, a common request then it’s certain that it influences the Creator. He hears and He will answer. You may not feel it right away you might not know how to identify or detect the Creator's response but it will be there.

66. S. (01:34:10) What is the ten asking for forgiveness from the Creator? Why? What do they want to correct? Should they devote time of a mutual calculation other than the routine?

R. The ten has to ask the Creator first of all for the ability to connect together and then from their connection they can be in contact with Him because they'll have a vessel just like the Creator. They will understand and will speak to one another and they will be as partners.

67. S. (01:34:59) In Yom Kippur do we discover our limitations in the ten to connect, that we’re not able to build the Creator between us?

R. Yes but it has nothing to do with a special day, otherwise we will make the day and the following day we'll just toss it out and forget about it. Rather each day we have to feel as if we're talking about Yom Kippur, the day of repentance, atonement.

68. S. (01:35:35) It's still not clear to me why is it called to ask for forgiveness instead of just calling for help. When we're sick we don't ask for forgiveness from the doctor we ask for help from the doctor.

R. The day of atonement is this way because it's atones, it's an atonement for our sins, for our transgressions. We see what we’ve done, all the bad things and we wish to change them and to reach the good things. And we ask for that from the Creator to help us, to help us do it.

69. S. (01:36:32) Is it correct work only to ask for forgiveness or also to make efforts in forgiving?

R. We must forgive, each one of us forgives all humans all over the world. I understand that what comes to all of us, each and everyone, nations, families, friends, it doesn't matter what, it all comes from the Creator. By that He aims us towards correction. So we have to be very sensitive, very sensitive to be in mutual corrections, in mutual bestowal.

70. S. (01:37:25) It says that the day of atonement atones on the sins between man and the Creator but not between man and his friends. What’s the difference in the sin before the Creator and the sin before the friends? In what are the different?

R. The difference is that the sin between man and the Creator is you ask for forgiveness and the Creator is certain to hear us to understand us and to respond to us, to answer. However the sin between a man and a friend, we have to convince the friend that we truly wish to atone for the transgression that I did to him. So here the day of atonement does not atone for it but rather I have to come to the friend and convince him that I am truly sorry. I'm truly sorry for looking down at him, disregarding him and accordingly I need to see if he forgives me. If I don't get his forgiveness it doesn’t help.

71. S. (01:38:57) How does prayer on my correction become a prayer for the whole world? How to build it?

R. Pray for the whole. You wish for all the bad things that you see in the world, lack of mutual bestowal, mutual connection between people, you want all those things to disappear from the horizon and in their place we’ll only have good relationships between everyone.

72. S. (01:39:31) Is the request for help from the Creator given from above or does asking for forgiveness from the Creator come from below when it's included in the right prayer?

R. Asking for forgiveness from the Creator has to be from below, from all of us to the Creator. As much as possible to connect together and the request will become stronger, more powerful.

73. S. (01:40:01) How to reach a request from the bottom of the heart so the Creator will correct our hearts?

R. You have to open the heart and to feel the friends. Each one should feel everyone from this common heart and turn to the Creator. This is called from love of the created beings to love of the Creator.

74. S. (01:40:46) You said that the biggest sin is that a person doesn't see how far he is from the friends. In what is this distance measured?

R. In order to measure these things you need to be in spiritual degrees. How will you measure it? The amount of light that enters your vessels? The distance between your will to receive and your will to bestow? You cannot measure the lack of the will to bestow.

75. S. (01:41:37) We learned that after an action the person has to say None Else Besides Him. How can we go against None Else Besides Him and ask for forgiveness after an action?

R. A person has to say there's None Else Besides Him after the action? But this is a mantra.

S. A person did it, so he says there’s None Else Besides Him.

R. Show me where it's written.

76. S. (01:42:20) How is the feeling that someone concedes towards me or the feeling of guilt? Do I have to feel guilty for something? Should I feel shame or guilty? Is that a part of the process of correction? Should I feel guilty, is that the process of correction?

R. Yes of course, this is part of the process of correction.

77. S. (01:43:23) Lately I get a lot of phone calls from relatives, friends to ask to forgive me. That is a custom in our world and here in Israel. What does it mean to forgive a friend? We say to ask for forgiveness but in what way can I forgive a friend?

R. I don't know. With us it wasn't so customary, with Rabash. I come to all the friends, I shake their hands and I tell them may you be written in the book and ask for forgiveness, this is work of the heart. It has to be in each and every friend so we don't talk about it. Everything has to be done humbly, modestly.

S. But still the action to ask for forgiveness I understand. But the opposite action, how do I forgive a friend, in what? That I want to understand.

R. I want to forgive everyone, the whole world and I wish to ask for forgiveness from the whole world for any trouble I have caused them. Because I certainly caused them trouble. And I understand it and I feel it and I wish to live with it after the day of atonement so my attitude towards the world will be only for the correction of the world. Because it was I who made it, who caused it. A person should say the whole world was created for me. With my attitude towards the world I can bring it to either the bad or the good.

78. S. (01:47:04) If we're already about the customs I wanted to ask, I know two places that money touches spirituality. One is the Masser and then there's the custom of Kaparot, that we give 18 shekels. So does it have a spiritual root and if yes what is it?

R. It's a scale a relative scale. 18 is like 9 Sefirot of direct light and one Sefirot of reflected light and then we give 18 Shekelim as in atonement on the day of atonement.

S. So is it a sign or does it cover….?

R. No, it doesn't over anything. You cannot cover anything with money. Kesef from the word Kesufa, cover, what do you cover by money?

S. That said I know it makes some kind of correction that we can’t.

R. That's something else, that's something you give monthly for the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and the correction of the world. Whereas, Kapparot, atonement we bring once a year 18 Shekels. You can bring 18 times 100, 1000, it doesn't matter but it's 18 Shekels that you bring for atonement. What do they do with it? Typically they have a meal with that money.
