Part 3:

Baal HaSulam. The Wisdom of Kabbalah and Philosophy

Reading. Lights and Kelim [Vessels]. (00:10) “Therefore, we must not…”

1. R. (00:48) Yes, that's what he wants to say, that all in all, we’re speaking about lights and vessels, what we learn about, what we encounter in our actions are lights and vessels and only that, only on such a level. “From your deeds, we will know you,” as we say.

Reading. Kelim and Lights. (01:20) “Here is where the line between the gift…” Twice.

2. R. (04:33) Well whatever we understand or don't understand let’s expect to understand.

Reading. Matter and Form in Kabbalah. (04:43) “The reason is that although this love…”

3. R. (06:02) Yes, it’s as if it gives birth to new discernments.

Reading Again. Matter and Form in Kabbalah. (06:11)

4. S. (07:38) It seems clear but it's kind of elusive. In the Ten we know that we're building a relationship every moment and we build something that is bigger than our little efforts, that's obvious but what does it mean Formative Kabbalah? What is it, what form is there to it?

R. It’s the form of a special connection between each and every part in the relation between the Creator and the created being. Look what he says, it’s born from that gift meaning that a person by this attains the content of the gift, the one giving him the gift, what He wants to pass to him with that gift, that's why from this he gets an impression from the relationship between them called Formative Kabbalah.

5. S. (09:17) If I take the example that we have a meeting in the Ten, it’s like a gift we received? The connection, what we create, the spirit we create between us, this is really the result of the off-shoot, the result of the gift?

R. Yes.

S. This thing, this connection we create between us just from our reality, so we reveal some sort of better connection between us? This is what turns the Wisdom of Kabbalah for us from philosophy into a science, into a teaching that remains ours, can we look at it this way?

R. Let's say.

S. From here now I want to project on the dissemination of this. We want to convey the Wisdom of Kabbalah, not philosophy but the Wisdom of Kabbalah which is this feeling of love and connection. It turns out that we have no need to even mention the Wisdom of Kabbalah here, but we have to create some sort of a good connection between people, it doesn’t matter if we call it the Wisdom of Kabbalah or not. Afterward, we can say that if we want but basically.

disseminating the Wisdom of Kabbalah, it’s not the study.

R. I'm not sure if I understood you, but let's say yes.

S. There's something essential here in our approach in wanting to convey in the Wisdom of Kabbalah. I’m simply sharing my thoughts from the article.

6. S. (11:15) I wanted to ask how do we practically convey a relation of bestowal within the gift?

R. The gift itself symbolizes the action of bestowal that you want to give to the receiver.

7. S. (11:49) From the gifts He gives us there remains a form of love. How do we give Him a gift in return?

R. We clothe ourselves on that love, we clothe upon it that love, and by this, we give it back to Him. That’s called Kamocha, as yourself.

8. S. (12:29) We know that philosophy is love for wisdom, that’s the definition. Here he says that the gift of the Creator is not important. What is our relation toward the wisdom, what is our correct relation towards it?

R. Towards the Wisdom of Kabbalah?

S. Yes, towards the wisdom because what the Creator wants to give us is the light of wisdom and we don’t need to love the wisdom but love the Creator, so what is our relation to the wisdom?

R. The wisdom is the topic that upon it we connect to the Creator, that He gives the wisdom then by connecting to the wisdom we connect to the Creator.

S. We want to receive the wisdom because through it we strengthen our connection with the Creator?

R. Yes.

9. S. (13:42) Sometimes the connection with the Creator leaves us with the feeling of suffering, not necessarily as a gift of love and we feel suffering afterward, so then what?

R. Then a person has to ask himself why am I suffering? That's not right for the Creator, not suitable for the relationship between them and that brings him to a state where he corrects his attitude towards the Creator and by this he starts changing, he gets corrected.

S. The result of the love with the great King, sometimes the great King can really slap you.

R. That's what we feel.

S. What is the right relation, you’re saying change?

R. By feeling something except for unconditional love from the King you just have to know that all the changes depend on you, and you have to do them and by this, you come closer to the truth. Nothing but that, only love, all of creation is from love and you must reveal it.

10. S. (15:46) In the gift, in the relation that passes through the gift, we toward the Creator, He operates on us, and we have to discover His relation through the actions if I understand correctly. It’s as if His intention to do good is supposed to be revealed through the actions but we don't always see a clear connection between the action and the intention, sometimes they seem opposite so what is our work in that case?

R. To discover the Creator’s true intention.

S. How do we discover it, do we ask to discover it?

R. How is it in our life? You get mad at your parents when you’re small and afterward, you understand their love that they constantly spilled upon you and then you behave that way to your children, that's the way we learn.

Reading. ABYA. (17:08) “This love consists of four parts that are much…”

11. R. (19:23) Yes, this might be the truth that is too soon for us, but we will talk about it next time.

12. S. (19:36) What is love, and how do we feel it?

R. Love is felt in the same vessels, that we first felt distance, disparity of form, rejection, love is the strongest feeling that comes with feeling the Creator with me in connections of love. Let's hope we reach it soon.

13. S. (20:31) Kabbalists who engage in love or really try to be similar to the Creator out of this, as a result, they see the study of the Ten Sefirot and everything we learn. Is this knowledge, or is this science?

R. No, it's a feeling, it’s a feeling that is so precise that you can even explain it in measurements.

S. When we hear about things that happen in our physical world and you tell us things and a few years later we see it actually happening, how is it possible that by feeling something spiritual something happens in the physical world?

R. There is no physical world, this is what we think. There's no physical world, there's only one world and let's soon discover the truth of our reality.
