Part 2:

Baal HaSulam. Peace in the World

1. R. (00:23) Yes, it's a known article by Baal HaSulam and it's worth reading it. What we find here is also in other places but all in all it should give us one big clear knowledge on the structure of reality, so please.

Reading (00:54) “Scrutinies and Inquiries Concerning the Matters...”

2. R. (01:17) Yes what is in there, so please.

Reading (01:23) “Mercy and Truth Met, Justice and Peace Kissed...”

3. R. (01:43:) That is what is written in Psalms.

Reading (01:48) “Everything Is Evaluated...”

4. R. (02:01) We see everything during some process that it grows, develops and not by already being ready and standing before us.

Reading (02:15) “Everything In Reality Good or Bad...”

5. R. (03:21) That means we see things during their gradual development from the beginning of creation till the end of creation, that we didn't get there yet and that's why we can’t say anything if it is good or bad if it's this way or that way. When we will see all of the parts of creation and its true way, so we will be able to say about creation whether it's good or not or this way or that way but now we still don't have any ability to criticize any element in creation whether it is good or bad. Because we didn't see it in its whole way yet, the way works in general.

Reading (04:27) “It Is Common Knowledge That The Creator...”

6. R. (06:04) We can’t say about any detail in creation whether it's good or bad because we still don't see it in i's complete form performing its role. That is why we should wait, I guess or ourselves rise to the end of correction and see how each and every part operates or to wait maybe that it will happen on its own.

7. S. (06:41) How can we include within us different components different trends that are in contrast or opposition?

R. I don't know, he says simply, everything you see you can see it as positive or negative, good or bad, but you can't say anything about it because you still haven't seen, you still haven't seen it and it's entire role, its duty. If you look at it like he said, that if you see a little kid, what do you think about him, what could you do, what part is he in creation, how could it be the later on he will be the greatest. For a baby that is born whether a mouse or a cat, you say oh look he's going to be the next Napoleon because within a few days he already knows how to do things and so on. You remember that, we studied it and that's why we can’t say anything about something that’s in its process of development. All in all we have to see what its role will be in the Gmar Tikkun, the end of correction.

S. Until then Rav what can we do, is it just to work with what we do see?

R. We have to rise to the correction then we'll see in that corrected degree the right role of each and every detail in creation as the right role. We will see all the details and creation in their final form. We're not waiting for the end of correction according to some time but we rise there with our attainment.

8. S. (09:23) We can determine if something is bad in the middle of its development if it's direction towards separation and more shattering than it's bad and if its direction towards connection then it's good?

R. Right, that is our work for now.

S. Why does it say that you can’t determine anything while it's developing?

R. You can’t say the final word because you still don't know what this develops for or that develops for. A person in his development goes through such stages that you can’t say about him that he has anything that is good for creation. There is no detail in creation like man that can do such damage, look at the earth.

S. It means it's bad because he is moving towards more separation and corruption and breakage?

R. You need to see it in such a state that you see it at the end of its development, and according to that you can determine but not in the middle. That's why he is saying everything in reality whether good or bad, that for now it seems to us even more harmful and damaging in the world it has the right to exist and you can't eradicate it. We only need to correct it and bring it to the good.

S. Okay, so even there, there is a contradiction because he says we are, we can correct it so that means it's bad?

R. If we see it's bad obviously it will be bad because it's going during its development and we have to bring it to its final state.

9. S. (11:28) How and where can a person check that the good while he is shattered in his will to receive? How and where can a person check the good and the truth if he's broken in his will to receive?

R. How can he? In the group. How can he be good according to his role in the group, according to his role in humanity, according to that we can weigh a person and say whether it's a good part or bad part in reality.

10. S. (12:50) What characterizes the person who develops spiritually?

R. Characterizes that he constantly changes and checks himself from degree to degree.

11. S. (13:11) At the end of correction all the souls will come to participate in the world or only those who participated in the correction?

R. All souls, all parts, all of creation will reach its wholeness and that is because humans will correct themselves then we will all be in the complete Arvut.

S. What's the difference between those who come to the final correction and they didn't participate in Bnei Baruch and those who did. What is the difference?

R. Everybody will participate and everyone will try to reach the end of corrections and feel as much as the final correction Gmar Tikkun belongs to everybody. Obviously each one will be on a different degree from his friend in according to his work.

S. Something is not clear to me. You said everyone will come to the correction, those who worked included. You said that everyone will achieve the correction, everyone will have his part there, those who already lived thousands of years ago, they too have a part in the final correction?

R. Of course, why does it matter whether he lived or not in his body in this world, and those Kabbalists who lived one or two thousand years ago also. Gmar Tikkun is a state, think about it and I think you will understand.

12. S. (15:55) He writes here that when we taste the fruit as bitter in the beginning of its growth we didn't consider it a flaw in the fruit. My question is if we know the fruit still isn't ripe why do we taste it and suffer with all the blows, why?

R. Because we can't tell the difference between good and bad only when we taste it as bad or bitter and then with our efforts, when we grow the fruit and bring it to the sweet state, then we can compare between this and that.

S. What does it depend on and what determines that we will taste the less bitter taste if you understand what I mean, is there a way to taste it and it's not that bitter?

R. No, we all start from the shattered state.

S. Okay, but there's a state itself where we're in the state. Is there a way to taste the fruit as less bitter, let's say from working on the Wisdom of Kabbalah?

R. No, you according to your root of the soul have to see all it states from beginning to end.

S. There's no way to escape it?

R. No, sorry to tell you but no.

13. S. (17:42) What to do with the desires that awaken and you don't feel the strength to correct them yet. What is the attitude to them and what do you do with them?

R. Pray. When you see evil in you and that you have no forces to correct it, that is already a good thing, that you have prayer remaining and that is actually something complete. That you performed all kinds of efforts to correct it but you see that you can’t do it alone and then you are left with turning to the Creator.

S. You said alone, it's really a critical point. I feel like there is really no force to cope with it and only together it's possible but still, can sufficient connection against it is not there yet, so the bad remains as it is and it's there and as long as there is no sufficient connection you can't cope with it?

R. But still you're given a complete picture as much as you can’t even ask and as much as you are not corrected and as much as it all depends on your prayer.

S. Yes, I understand but what to do with the desire, it feels like it comes to kill you, it's too big to deal with. Even though you feel like you feel like you have a prayer you need a prayer but the response you get from the Creator is you can't deal with it yet, go to connection?

R. You shouldn't wait, but keep going and keep going and it will all gradually be corrected.

14. S. (19:55) If the root of all the Creator’s actions is good then what is the development the Creator wants in giving us the ability to judge the good and bad if everything is actually good? Why does he give us the ability to judge things?

R. No, the Creator helps us discern between actions of bestowal and action of reception and that we will prefer actions of bestowal.

15. S. (20:47) I understand that we cannot judge between good and bad even not from our life experience but from our life experience we know that we cannot judge good and bad, so all we have left really is faith in the sages. How do we do it as a group, did they know what is good and bad?

R. The group has to be as one, where each one annuls himself towards the others and connect everybody. Then everybody can already go towards the Creator, rise to the Creator and ask and demand of Him the corrections.

16. S. (21:38) Can you say that part of the way to correct judgmental perspective is through education?

R. Everything is education, everything.

S. Some of us here are parents to children.

R. No no I'm not talking about that, we are not talking about that, that is nonsense. Education for us is what we are doing on ourselves.

17. S. (22:12) Baal HaSulam shows us a picture where everything is perfect basically. On the other hand we have to connect and try to make a change here, so that is why the creation is incomplete and we have a role. Is he trying to tell us that one of the most important qualities on the way to correction is patience to see how everything evolves and how we advance, or is there something else and what he is telling us here?

R. We will learn we have a lot of pages ahead of us.

18. S. (23:00) Many times we pray and ask for peace in the world, what peace are we talking about and what exactly are we asking for?

R. [no translation]

19. S. (23:34) If we need to make the correction and bring closer to the Creator, every part where we see lack of wholeness in its development, so when we do not criticize and when we are thankful for all the stages that appear to us, can we say that we essentially make the connection of each part with the Creator?

R. Yes.

20. S. (24:29) If we cannot know about any item if it is good or bad, how do we know what to ask for what kind of correction?

R. Ask for the connection between everyone and everyone's connection with the Creator. Connection between everyone could be a bad connection like some sort of a game, but when it is connected to the Creator that is already good. That is what we need to ask for.

21. S. (25:18) Is our correction determined by our alignment to the Reshimot and what role does our intent play in the Ten? Is our correction going along the same lines of the Reshimot, how they awaken within us and if so, what is the role of the intention, does the intention change the role for the Reshimot, hasten it? What does it do?

R. The intention corrects the Reshimot how they all need to be aimed towards the degree of Keter.

22. S. (26:06) I'd like to scrutinize, there are things that society moves away from them if someone comes to damage or kills you, what does he mean here?

R. What it means is that we need to come together and connect to the Creator, where we are all of us like a single mechanism.

23. S. (26:45) My question is on what we read about faith in the Sages. Maybe because I work in technology I understand that laws and laws, and for me faith in the sages as a law. I write the law down and I have to use it and study it and I also discover that I'm not doing it correctly. How can we enter faith in the Sages correctly and do it as they tell us to do it?

R. We need to enter faith in the Sages in a way that the Sage is really called the Creator, so we have to connect to Him through our connection between us and then we will have faith in the Sages.

S. How do you do it with a group?

R. Without a group you cannot even come close to it.

Reading (27:59) “The Weakness of World Reformers”

24. S. (30:48) It says that the Creator guards all the details and doesn't let anyone eradicate it. What do you mean, we see that people rise and start killing each other, so what are we talking about that he is watching over things?

R. We have to try and guard our nature on the one hand, and on the other hand push it towards correction so that each one thinks about the good correction that everyone will have.

S. How is it expressed that the Creator is watching over all its parts?

R. He doesn't allow any good or bad quality to simply disappear according to our desire, rather we have to connect and correct ourselves meticulously and compliment each other.

S. When we see that someone comes and kills someone else, that doesn't mean to eradicate parts of creation?

R. No. He doesn't actually do that, He kills the body.

S. Where does that detail keep existing?

R. That you cannot understand yet. You cannot understand it yet.

25. S. (32:18) There's this form of evil today, not what people say is good or bad and want to eradicate the bad and leave the good, they say the opposite. They say we don't know what good and bad is, that is why we are going to leave everything and everything is legit and everything is okay, but then the evil grows and they say no it's not evil, we can't say if it's good or bad?

R. Sir, still, the world is clarifying these things as good or bad and take something or remove something. It is not that there is a general consensus between everyone that we are not doing anything in creation.

S. Today it is a lot more blurry and we are saying let us not touch, let the evil exist because it is not really evil, you think it is evil.

R. Correct.

S. What is the correction of this very big confusion that humanity is in a long time already?

R. We do not know the correction. You see what he tells us in the first and second paragraphs. We do not know, we just have one thing to do and that is to medal with creation as least as possible and understand that everything has its place.

S. Exactly because according to the words they are saying the same thing, we don't want to come into creation, everything has a place and the evil grows and grows and nobody says that it is evil because everything has a place, so how do we not get confused?

R. But you are not harmful. If you are not harmful to creation but if you want to kill and harm the created beings, then what correction are you making here?

S. Well if these creations harmed themselves and now you eradicate them?

R. How do you know, how do you know we don't know anything. In that you are right, that is why it is forbidden to kill each and anyone. It doesn't matter what bad a person does, we cannot just come to him and take his spirit of life, we cannot.

26. S. (35:13) Is it right to think like it is written that there aren't any bad qualities but qualities that haven't finished developing?

R. Yes, that is certainly true yes, but they're development also depends on us.
