Part 1: Rabash. Record 938. Concerning the Omer [Count].”

Reader: Hello, we are reading from article 938 concerning the Omer. You can find the study materials on Sviva Tova and the Arvut system. Rav, please.

M. Laitman: Okay, let's first hear the article and then we will talk.

Reading Article: (00:31) “Concerning the Omer [Count].”

Omer comes from the words “gathering sheaves,” which means connection. A person should try to make the connection between him and the Creator shine, as in a sapphire or a diamond. The world is called “the six days of action and Shabbat [Sabbath],” which are seven Sefirot, and there is Hitkalelut [incorporation] of the Sefirot. Therefore, we must connect ourselves to the Creator on all the days of the years of our lives, which are seventy years, implying that each year comprises ten Sefirot

By correcting the connection, called Omer, we can be rewarded with the quality of Torah, which is regarded as “freedom from the angel of death,” as our sages said, “Do not call it Harut [carved] but rather Herut [freedom],” when we emerge from the enslavement to the inclination by means of the Torah.

This depends on man’s connection with the Creator. When one is in separation, he is called “idol-worshipper,” and the Torah was given only to the people of Israel, as it is written, “He did not do so to any nation and they did not know the ordinances,” since the Torah is called “an ordinance” and “a gift,” and was given only to Israel, and one is called “Israel” only when one is connected to the Creator.

M. Laitman: That's it. Even though it's a short article, there's a lot of scrutinies in it. So, let’s see again, that we have this law that we do the Omer count.

Rav Re-Reading Article: (03:17) “Concerning the Omer (Count).”

And how to exit? This depends on man’s connection with the Creator. When one is in separation, he is called “idol-worshipper,” and the Torah was given only to the people of Israel, meaning the person needs to raise from the degree of “idol-worshipper to the degree of Israel. As it is written, “He did not do so to any nation and they did not know the ordinances,” since the Torah is called “an ordinance” and “a gift,” and was given only to Israel, meaning to those that are aimed to the Creator, straight to the Creator. And one is called “Israel” only when one is connected to the Creator.

M. Laitman: (05:39) We'll go over the questions, and it will be clearer for us.

Question (Turkiye 2): (05:56) How can we turn into one, although, our ego and our evil inclination?

M. Laitman: By the work. That we do incessantly and by the efforts to change the darkness into light. This is what it is written about.

Question (Kyiv): (06:38) How can we connect ourselves in a way with the Creator, in order that we can receive the qualities of the Sefirot?

M. Laitman: In the soul of each one, and the desire of each one. I, for example, am yearning to meet the Creator, then I attain Him in such a manner. And you in your way, then you attain Him in a different way. But all in all, each and every one of us attains the root of his soul. That's it.

Student: You say that everyone yearns in his own way. Those qualities, the sapphire, the Sefirot. Is it general, or is it a result of integrating of all those qualities, or each one for its own?

M. Laitman: To each one for its own.

Student: How can we reach the unity of all our qualities that we’ll be as one?

M. Laitman: You need to yearn for the connection, and then you'll see what will come out of your connection with the Creator.

Question (Women MAK): (08:09) What kind of quality of connection needs to be in the Ten that will suit the revelation of the Creator?

M. Laitman: Connection, unity of everyone, with everyone. Everybody together. This is the most correct.

Student: How to learn to tie in a strong tie with the thoughts and the connection with the Ten, so we have one goal to bestow to the Creator?

M. Laitman: For that, you need to come out of yourself, to aim yourself to the friends, and be aimed at the Creator, and then all your efforts will lead you to one goal, to one connection.

Question (Latin 13): (09:24) We made some prayer

Student: We are doing actions of prayers, and we read articles. We are looking for how to raise the motivation of the friends, that the friends will be more active in the Ten.

M. Laitman: Yes. Are you investing in connection, in coming closer, in all those things that can cause unity between you, and it's not working out? You are not successful?

Student: No, it's not happening, it's not working. Therefore, we took a coordinator that will help us to raise the importance of the friends.

M. Laitman: What does he recommend to do?

Student: We are fifteen in the Ten. We chose a coordinator so he can raise the fuel in the friends, so we can connect, come closer to the goal.

M. Laitman: Yes, and?

Student: There is ice between us. There is coldness.

M. Laitman: What are you planning to do next? Answer me!

Student: A prayer, a prayer. We are making a strong prayer, a very strong prayer.

Moderator: He said that the coordinator is suggesting that this Ten will turn to him and he can help them. But the more specific question is, what's happening with the Ten when they are trying to do all the things that you are advising them, but still there is coldness and separation between them? What should they do?

M. Laitman: Again, accept that it comes from above. And what to do next? How can we move on? The work in connection between us.  We need nevertheless to continue, to turn more to friends, and more to the world Kli. That will pressure us. That we will truly feel that we must do this for the sake of the entire world Kli. It's our duty. And the whole world Kli needs to push us, and later on, we will tell them, thank you.

Moderator: Just one more thing to say. The lack of connection is because they are receiving a translation from Hebrew to Spanish, and then to Spanish. So, that's why, this is the reason why it's so slow until you get your answers from them.

M. Laitman: That is not good. That is not fine. There should be a closer communication, if not in the same language, then at least through one language. Not through two, or three languages.

Question (Tbilisi): (17:45): I hope that this question talks to most of the friends in the world Kli. As far as I'm concerned, as a friend in the group, I nullify myself towards the group with all the states that the Creator is giving me, and I accept it as the Creator is Good And Does Good, and I agree with everything that the Creator is doing with me. The friends are the greatest, which means that everything in my power I pray. Where is the line where the Creator is? There are things that I can bring Him contentment, and some things are by my nature. I just cannot do. Only the Creator can give it.

M. Laitman: The Creator is asking you to think only of Him, on the connection with Him, and what you can bestow to Him.

Student: But this is what I do. The question is, where is the line where I can answer to Him, and then from there onward where I can't?

M. Laitman: After, you will do the same towards the friends.

Question (Women MAK 98): (19:16) What is the difference between the connection in Egypt, from the connection that's been talked about in the article?

M. Laitman: It's a connection, a bit more, a bit less. It's at the moment not very important for us.

Student: What is to light the burning fire in the heart?

M. Laitman: It is to light the bonfire in our heart in order for it to be all the thoughts and desires that with them I want to raise to the Creator, to the heavens.

Question (Women MAK 30): (20:16) Each and every one of us. We tie, and we're gathering the sheaves, and this is the roots of the soul, but we're tying it with the Ten. How can we tie those sheaves to one?

M. Laitman: We all want to come to the same goal. Therefore, we should only yearn for her, and then all our desires will connect together. The Creator will connect them together because it's not something we are able to do.

Student: So we only need to yearn for this goal, to satisfy the Creator, to reach connection?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women MAK 25): (21:22) Why the correct connection in us, He will give Herut from the angel of death? Just like it says in the article, that the corrected connection between us is to give us Herut from the angel of death. Why?

M. Laitman: Since we are ascending to the quality of bestowal, and the angel of death is the quality of reception. Therefore, when He acts on us, then all the light disappears.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (22:11) What should a person do if she wants to open the doors of her heart, not because of her fears and helplessness, but because of her love, faith, and respect to the Creator, but she cannot do this. What does she do?

M. Laitman: She needs to pray. We have no other option besides praying, because everything that has been done, has been done by the Creator, and we cannot do any action besides asking Him to do these actions. Is it clear?

Question (Women PT 33): (23:04) You gave another student an example, and you said, “I yearn for a meeting with the Creator, and then I receive it in this way, and you in your way, so you receive it in a different way, but the bottom line is everyone reaches the root of his soul.” So, the question is about the contact. It turns out that when I integrate with the friends, they yearn to the Creator, and not necessarily what they say, because you say that everyone reaches the Creator in a different way. So, in the time of connection, and when we share discernments, our focus is in the integration?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And we feel the yearning of each and every friend with the meeting of the Creator, and not necessarily what she’s?

M. Laitman: No, no, that's fine. Both of them.

Student: Although it's a different discernments.

M. Laitman: It's only in our imagination.

Student: So, it's not different?  Or meanwhile, it's different?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Hebrew 2): (24:42) What's so unique in the connection that's called Omer? Is that a complete connection that a man, a person, reaches all his correction? Did he say all his years of life?

M. Laitman: Yes, the Omer is a unique link. After many days and even years, we come to a state which is called Omer, the Omer count. Then, out of this work, that we link all our exertions together, we can bring ourselves into a connection with the Creator, and the Creator embraces all of us together, and He makes out of us an Omer, a gathering of sheaves.

Student: What does it mean that the connection between me and the Creator will shine?

M. Laitman: To shine, meaning that there is not just the light of Hassadim there, but also the light of Hochma.

Student: What's so unique in this work? How can we feel this shine of the connection?

M. Laitman: It will be later; now it's a bit too soon.

Question (PT 6): (26:35) When do we reach to talk to the friends the way we talk to the Creator? When can I start to talk to the friends, just like I speak to the Creator? When does it happen? Only after the Machsom or in the final connection?

M. Laitman: With the Creator, you already talk, yes? Now you want to come to the same connection with the friends, correct?

Student: With the Creator, you feel, you don't even say anything, you just explode. He's around you all day, or you talk to Him all day, and there's distance with the friends, it's different.

M. Laitman: That is your problem. It is your problem, try and connect with them.

Student: I'm asking, after Machsom or after Gmar Tikkun?

M. Laitman: Whenever you would want to connect with the friends, then you can convince the Creator to build a connection with the friends.

Student: Why towards them there's always a complication, and there's rejection, and with the Creator it's just like that, it comes out, easy.

M. Laitman: It's exactly like that. It is exactly like that.

Question (Women PT 33): (28:24) I feel, let's say, that me, kind of a vessel, especially in times with the friends' desires, they are all concentrating in my heart, and then it turns into a very full heart, with lots of deficiency and desires of the friends. And this vessel I receive, I give it to the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: This is how with each and every friend in the Ten, and then we are supposed to reach a hug with the Creator, a connection of the desires. My question is, what is this mutual vessel that is made out of all the friends in the Ten? I know myself, I am a vessel, I have my mind, and my brain, and each and everyone has the same, but when we connect, it's supposed to be a bigger vessel that includes. What is this vessel?

M. Laitman: A common desire, to a common intention. This is your vessel.

Student: I've been with that for a few days now, and you also told us about this mutual desire, and I just cannot build it, depict it in my imagination, because a vessel should have some sort of restriction, borders, a shape, and I can't depict a shape of the mutual desire in the Ten.

M. Laitman: Don't do this. It will be depicted before you later on. The main thing is that you want to connect in one desire. That's it. More or less in one desire that is aimed towards the Creator.

Question (Women Heb 2): (31:03) I heard that Omer is a period that we tie links between us, and the Omer comes directly from the first day of Passover. You start to count it. How does it relate to Passover? What is the count of Omer in spirituality?

M. Laitman: This is a result of the corrections we are doing.

Student: Is it something that is before the exit from Egypt?

M. Laitman: It is already after we exit Egypt.

Student: And why are there all these ‘not to do’ commandments in the Omer? What does it mean?

M. Laitman: This is the correction. Don't look at the history or geography. Only look at the corrections, which vessels we need to connect, and to correct, and to fill.

Student: So, all the work of correction is when a person comes out of his ego, comes out of his desire to bestow?

M. Laitman: Yes, you cannot do corrections in Egypt.

Student: So, where are we now, in our state now? What is our next step towards it?

M. Laitman: Each and every one in his own way.

Student: In essence, our work is always connection. I didn't hear that we have something else to do, even before the exit.

M. Laitman: That's right. We always exert in this connection.

Question (Women MAK 36): (33:09) When the breakage after the connection is clearer and more understood, what in essence do we understand? What is that that we strengthen?

M. Laitman: We yearn for a connection where there are no differences between us.

Student: There is a main work with the intention that happens here?

M. Laitman: Yes, and?

Student: There is a feeling that this intention is the only thing missing, meaning it's clear that it's the only thing that we don't have.

M. Laitman: Maybe that's the way it's been revealed?

Student: There is a very strong desire. Well, I'm not ready yet, I don't know how to say.

M. Laitman: Let's wait a little bit.

Question (Women Baden-W): (34:08) Tell us, please. Yesterday, in the Ten, we had an incident where three other women, me and two other friends, we fought. Each one proved their own points. The secretary of our meeting took the common language that we all have and connected. So, we didn't go, and we didn't connect. But all of a sudden, this love came, and this connection came. It's only coming once in a long while. It was very magical.

M. Laitman: Because everything has been revealed in an equation. In the start, you hated each other, and then you suddenly revealed the connection between you.

Student: It's a true wonder. Maybe it will help our friends?

M. Laitman: It will help everyone.

Question (Women Moscow 6): (35:22) How can we connect ourselves to the Creator, so that we will always make an effort to go towards this connection, and that we will never disconnect?

M. Laitman: You will always be with the Creator, and you will always keep an eye on this connection, so that it never decreases, but only increases. And then you will gradually, gradually have a constant connection with the Creator. It will just increase. And then, slowly, slowly, it will succeed.

Student: What does it mean to follow Him? What does it mean to follow the Creator with this connection?

M. Laitman: To follow, which means that we're not going anywhere with it.

Question (Moscow 1): (36:23) Which way is better? To overcome this calmness, but those who are not linked to the Creator?

M. Laitman: Somehow you need to step out of this indifference feeling.

Question (Women Turkiye 10): (36:50) In our Ten, we are all striving towards the goal. But, from time to time, almost all of us are scattered into a separate corner due to the heaviness of the corporeal conditions. The question is: What should we do to become a sheaf in these conditions?

M. Laitman: Gathering of the sheaves, what to do? It's connection, it's love, it's to come closer, it's to help, from friends to friends.

Question (MAK 13): (37:33) You said that the connection would not disappear. We, for example, can connect only for two hours, depending on the right deficiency. The question is, how to increase the deficiency?

M. Laitman: We need to discover, and then you will have limitless opportunity to be in connection.

Question: (Women MAK): (38:24) What is the problem to find the connection with the friends in the connection?

M. Laitman: It is meant to find the connection with the friends.

Student: How should it be expressed? In the feeling, in the mind?

M. Laitman: When we ask the Creator to help us to connect, and in this connection with the friends, we receive more connection.

Student: What does it mean to reveal each other in the connection in the Ten? How can we help each other?

M. Laitman: We need to do what we talk, what we say. I don't have anything else to say.

Question (Women MAK 97): (39:37) Why did the people of Israel were rewarded, that only to them the Creator gave the Torah?

M. Laitman: From the start, they are the best one out of all the nations. We don't feel it this way, but as a matter of fact, by the internal structure, this is a very egoistic nation, and therefore, they needed the Torah in order to correct themselves. Without the Torah, there was no way they could correct themselves. Therefore, at the beginning, the Israeli nation reached the correction, and by that shows the way to the rest of the world.

Question (Women French): (40:55) A very beautiful article. The beginning really touched my heart. The word Omer comes from the words gathering sheaves, which means a connection. A person should try to make a connection between him and the Creator, to shine as a sapphire or a diamond. I want to ask, what does it mean that we are gathering sheaves in our daily work?

M. Laitman: It's when you try to connect together as one bunch of sheaves, and with this one bunch of sheaves, to feel the Creator.

Student: Can we say that without such sheaves, we die in the Ten? I hear the book, the Russian book that you wrote, and it feels that without it, the connection all falls.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Hadera 1): (42:12) I wanted to ask about the people of Israel because they are the worst. Sometimes it is felt like that, but sometimes it's felt the other way. Because of what we study, there are four roots of soul, and the most cleansed souls are those of the people of Israel. How can we connect the smallest coarseness?

M. Laitman: I think it's too early to talk about it. Let's go through a few more months, and then we'll talk about it.

Question (Women Uzbekistan): (43:03) Here in Uzbekistan, there is a vessel, but the friends are from different Tens, and it stops us from physical connection. How to make it so that the physical connections and gathering are more important?

M. Laitman: You need to talk about it, to scrutinize, and you need to be more connected with us and with other groups. You have a group of women, so with other groups of women. That's what I advise you to do.

Question (Women MAK 45): (43:57) How is it correct to move away from the evil and how is it correct to accept a new friend? Do we let her in straight away, or do you give her time, or is it up to her? She needs to decide. And how can our Ten feel that she is a new part of us?

M. Laitman: You need, together, to connect, and to help the new friend in the group. That's it.

Question (Women Moscow 18): (44:55) When Rabash did not want to let his friends and students reach Amati, and he said that they don't have any left line, then we know that Israel is the quality which is most cleansed, the clearest vessels. But now you say that these are the coarsest vessels. How can it be?

M. Laitman: The matter is that the vessels need to be corrected. They define the amount of the egoistic components, and therefore they have been felt as very much egoistic. In the first place, they need help. And the others, you can't fill them, and therefore you see in our world, the Jews, the Israeli people, they are different with their ego too. They are bolder towards the other nations of the world. And this is because they request different needs, and those requests were equal to the nations of the world, then the Israeli people would not be the most egoistic. In essence, it's all about how we approach the correction, and in which way of measuring we are doing that.

Question (Women Spa): (47:26) In the text says that the Torah is called a rule and a gift. How can we understand a rule? An ordinance and a gift. How can we understand what is an ordinance?

M. Laitman: The ordinance is usually an opinion about someone. Let's say an ordinance and a rule. So, there is a rule, and there is a behavior, and by the rule and the ordinance, is it the same thing or not.

Question (Women MAK 56): (48:23) Tell us please. How does a person feel the connection of the Creator with him through the Ten?

M. Laitman: The person feels the attitude of the Creator, and that goes through the Creator, to the Ten, to the person.

Student: It turns out that the relation of the friends is their connection towards me?

M. Laitman: Yes, you can say.

Question (Women Ukraine 2): (49:34) We gather the sheaves by gathering the connection, by tying the rope. What is this rope that we are using?

M. Laitman: This is what connects you together, if you choose this type of connection between you.

Student: That’s the yearning? That's the connection? That's the rope?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Turkiye 2): (50:03) When praying for the whole world, what is the best way to pray, so that their suffering can end?

M. Laitman: To pray for them, so that they will rise, and get rid of the suffering.

Question (Women MAK 23): (50:37) How to link all the friends in the gathering of sheaves, so that the connection would not break? Because sometimes this connection disappears, so how do we keep this connection?

M. Laitman: It only depends on you. Only you.

Question (Women MAK 113): (51:02) Tell us please, we have this project in which each Ten can tell about itself shortly. The participation in this project, is that the way we gather into one sheave?

M. Laitman: No, but that's part of it. That's part of the gathering of the sheaves.

Question (MAK 24): (51:59) By us sharing the joy that we feel in the group from meeting at least twice a day, and every day we see results, how we grow. We would want everyone to hear it, especially Latin 13, they really touched my heart. They're the ones who pushed me in essence to say what I'm saying now. I thank the Creator for the Ten, and I thank you, dear Rav, and in general, all those who hear us now. It all follows the plan in the group. I hope it will touch each one, but not only our group.

M. Laitman: I'm longing for you. Good luck. I wish you good luck.

Question (Women Brasil): (52:57) The Creator gave us the internet in order to give us the opportunity to hasten the process of correction of our common souls and to reveal the divinity.

M. Laitman: Of course, all those innovations that we've been receiving through the internet and the television, radio, and the spread of the connection between us. It's all in order for us to rush the connection between us and to reach quicker to the correction of the creation.

Question (Turkiye 8): (53:44) For as long as I can remember, I have found it difficult to relate to the world and everyday life. I only have a desire to be interested in spirituality. I just want to be with my Ten and in the lessons. How can I relate to the world in the right way and come into balance? Is it a lack of connection with the Creator?

M. Laitman: Don't think about it. Just invest yourself with no limits in spirituality, and you'll see what a great profit you will receive from that.

Question (Women Moscow 5): (54:52) Our lesson, is that also a sheaf that is gathered?

M. Laitman: Yes, yes.

Question (Women MAK 104): (55:08) In order to reach such a connection in the Ten, to one desire, does everybody need to be cooperating to the same extent? Does everybody need to have the same desire?

M. Laitman: No, not this kind of desire. Each one can have a different desire, but you need to yearn for one action, to be connected in a mutual way together.

Question (Women Turkiye 2): (55:57) I live abroad, and lately I have a strong desire to return to my homeland. As if there is a very strong desire pulling me there. I also feel like I should study the Kabbalah in my homeland. How should one make a decision in this state, This incident?

M. Laitman: I don't think it's correct. You'll have to invest yourself where you are, in the place that you are. It will be cleared. For now, it's a bit too early.

Question (Women MAK 25): (56:45) In order for us to have our connection shining, or radiating, we need to relate to each other gently and to give time to that? Or is it important that I just pray for that?

M. Laitman: The main thing is that you love the friends, and it won't depend on anything.

M. Laitman: Okay, we are going to finish. Be well everyone until tomorrow.

Announcements: (57:23)

Song: (57:58)

ian book that you wrote, and it feels that without it, the connection all falls.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Only you.
