Part 2

Baal HaSulam. Peace in the World (In Practical Life, the Four Attributes Contradict One Another)

Reading Peace in the World (00:28) “In Practical Life, the Four Attributes Contradict One Another”

1. R. (06:45) That means that if we hear what he writes. Everything is okay. We will just keep wolves in the forest and everything will just play out the way nature needs, or you think there's more advice? Well?

R. Just ask what King David meant when he wrote this?

2. S. (07:34) What is wrong with nature that the strong will win and the weak will defeat. The strong and smart wins?

R. He defeats the dumb and the weak, yes.

S. What's wrong with that?

R. What's wrong I don't know, if it's okay it's okay. it all depends on the way you look at life.

S. We see in nature that there's harmony between the weak, the poor, the strong, the strong only eat the sick, and the weak and it works out nicely.

R. I see on people that no one agrees that what is happening, it's all called just. You can speak with each and everyone almost everyone except for the individuals. They'll tell you that everything is completely fine.

S. Everyone has his own justice?

R. Okay so even worse, yes.

4. S. (09:10) It's not clear why to begin with when Baal HaSulam is speaking about truth he's relating to it like from a corporeal matter or material manner, what's mine is mine yours is yours. Then also he speaks about justice as a workforce. I'd expect him to see it from a higher angle. Why is he saying that the truth is what mine is mine and what's yours is yours from everything? Yours saying that the truth is the creator, why mine is mine yours is yours?

R. No no, he is speaking at eye level to all of us. How can you now start talking about the Creator?

5. S. (10:01) What grabbed my eye was that if there were no lies in the world, there wouldn't be truth. and also all other attributes came to strengthen the truth.would annul. Baal HaSulam says that the lie is okay because without it we can't exist so what's up?

R. That I don't know you need to decide what it's all about.

S. Because we could all say that we're all living in a lie. That's what he's saying.

6. S. (11:00) Two excerpts ago he wrote that if we use justice and mercy, so there's a construction of the world and going towards the truth it's a destruction and here he puts them on the same scale either we go in peace or justice. So practically is there an advantage to certain qualities?

R. Practically in our world?

S. In society, in the Ten, in our world?

R. No, he's not telling us about the laws of society, he's telling us about the general laws of nature. That they are opposite from what we're used to, of what we're used to using in human society. We are like wolves.

S. On behalf of nature all qualities are equal but as humans in our point of development we use part of them right and part not?

R. In every single moment we're using what we are able to in order for our ego to benefit that is all. In other words we are no different than a pack of wolves, or other such creatures.

S. He's still writing that part of the attributes are building the world and some are destructing the world?

R. This happens in us. Partly in an instinctive way and partly it isn't in order for us to keep the human society so that we will still advance.

Continue reading (13:37) “The attribute of singularity in the egoism affects ruin….”

7. R. (16:46) Well, what can we say, it seems like you agree to this and you're hearing and there's nothing even to ask.

8. S. (17:02) Why is it written that the singularity is the root for all the mess?

R. Because each one is thinking of himself that he exists in the world as the center, as the central point and everything turns around it.

S. That is clear but why is it caused by a mixture?

R. Where each one is thinking if so, to move the others and to take a place instead and by that to exist.

S. Let's say there's people who have more of a quality of let's say mercy or that is more emphasized in a person or truths so why would these qualities mix?

R. The point of contact in their general will to receive that everything stems from the will to receive, grows from the will to receive. That is why if we measure each and every quality from our desire to receive, how and to what extent? Then we would have no problem but to reach a common quality between all of us.

9. S. (19:07) I don't understand this article.

R. I envy you first of all.

S. This is like proof of the world from the 21st century, why not defend disseminate the right thing?

R. Which is?

S. What's the right thing? Connection, in my opinion we just have to give this article to the world and after that immediately connection.

R. And then?

S. Then we'll see everything will be much better.

R. It will be better that everyone keeps this then that's for sure but they will also certainly not keep that.

S. Why not?

R. Because it's against human nature.

S. If we disseminate connections it will be worth it for them.

R. And if you disseminate this they will all accept it and do it?

S. Of course, if I see the friends doing it and it worked on me.

R. Okay. try that's good and we'll see maybe you'll give everyone a good example.

10. S. (20:37) I can understand or agree with what Baal HaSulam writes here, if he's not in our environment?

R. Look to understand what he's writing here. It's possible. There's a lot of wise people who are outside of our group who agree with what he writes. Also it's possible. The question is to realize it, that it is against our nature and that is the whole problem. It's not who is right, but to what extent this justice can be realized in our life. To live in a lie as long as it's convenient and pleasant.

S. Yes, that's clear. I'm trying to understand if a person can agree and understand these discernments in man as he writes, in the individual, how can you measure this if you don't have an environment that gives you these discernments or he'll reach only part of them?

R. Let's say you have an environment and you have people there who want to keep these laws that Baal HaSulam mentions, okay go ahead.

S. Okay, it's impossible even if we are not succeeding.

R. Okay, so what's your question.

S. Why is Baal HaSulam writing this? It's like a series of discernments that what did they give a person who's reading this if he's still not, if he's in an environment so he understands and he needs to work he needs to work in connection, and to draw the light and correct him but if he's not in that environment so what will they even help him that it's written.

R. Okay, so he should search. He should search for a new environment.

S. That is the purpose for this article?

R. It's possible, it's possible.

Reading Continues: (23:20) Using the nature of singularity…

11. S. (31:41) It seems that all the attributes that Baal HaSulam was speaking about are relative to one another. Judgment mercy and they can't point to anything on their own. The singularity is something that everyone can feel on his own, something tangible, natural. and it's a fact each one can just stand and say I am an individual in the world even Baal HaSulam supported that it's in its root, so what I understand is either you use it in a bad way for myself or I use my singularity for the benefit of others so if we build an education about that we build the method.?

R. Go ahead and bring a plan.

12. S. (32:53) What does it mean to use the four qualities and the singularity to bestow to the others how can I describe that? Can I take an example like the manager of truth? What does it mean if I am using it for myself? How is it if I use it to bestow to the others what? What will be the change?

R. Change to be opposite, the real change.

S. Yes, but first he said that the truth is mine is mine is yours is yours, right? So if I use it in an egoistic singular way, so I want everything that I deserve, and as far as I'm concerned, what you deserve you deserve but I'm not giving you anything.

R. So mine is yours and yours is mine?

S. Is it possible according to the ego?

R. Okay fine.

S. Okay so that's using truth egotistically, what's using truth minus mine yours is yours in bestowal?

R. That I'm not thinking of myself at all but only of you.

S. What does it mean mine is mine?

R. You're saying mine is mine yours is yours?

S. That's the attribute of truth.

R. He is calling this the quality of Sodom. What is mine is mine and yours is yours. It doesn't bring me any connection between human beings, no one is touching the other.

S. What is truth and singularity using it as bestowal?

R. In bestowal, meaning only I am able to be still what I have to the entire world.

S. Still I keep my end of individuality but in order to bestow.

R. Yes and the opposite is in order to receive, and two more you have to be bestow in order to receive and bestow in order to bestow.

S. What's that?

R. I don't know if that already depends on your intention. That depends on the intention. That's why it's called the hidden method, the Torah of the hidden. You see that we have no choice but to stand below Mount Sinai and cry out and to demand from the Creator to open up our mind, our eyes and even our hearts so we will be able to receive the Torah and to reach everything. Otherwise, we don't understand anything and we are like cats that are born this way.

13. S. (36:54) It's less than a week till we have the unity evening of connection?

R. Yes, next Sunday.

S. This evening we're going to try to reach that mountain that you just told us about and to cry out and try to connect. In our experience from the previous evening's meetings it's very enlightening. It's very special so we wanted to ask you, how we can raise an importance and cause all the friends in the Ten as many as we can to come to the special meeting this physical meeting? To raise importance to it?

R. We need to publish first of all among all of our friends in Israel and around the world. I'm certain that even from outside of Israel some will come. That's what I heard, and mainly it depends on what we will write about this event or events before what's going to happen before, what's going to happen after, what's adjacent to that evening on that same day what's the plan? people who are preparing it to tell us about it, and if it shall be done well so that we will want to come. That same tiredness and that same atmosphere that we feel, I see it as something good. That you come to Mount Sinai and you don't feel well, no, you come exhausted. And only one force called Moses is able to climb the mountain. That all of the points of Moses and each and every one are connecting and rising on the mountain, and that is all. He's able then to hear what the Creator is saying and to agree with it in advance. That what now was, we will receive as the greatest thing happening now in nature to the form of man.
