Lesson 2: “Connecting as One Man with One Heart”

3. S. (14:15) In the article we read about hating himself and loving thy friend as thyself. How to differentiate between self-hate and love of others?
R. We're talking about our relationship to our ego, the ego we have to reject and we have to come closer to the other whom we need to love. From these two opposites, we build such an attitude by which we feel all of reality, the whole world opening up, and being revealed. Let's try to feel it.
4. S. (16:05) I feel in myself and the friends who have been learning with me for many years beginning to read some article and I feel like someone is turning the switch off and pulling us downwards and falling asleep. How can we help one another to be in thoughts and prayer?
R. If you connect with one another, if you embrace one another you will see how the spiritual universe opens up before you, a common mutual universe. And nothing will be scary or fearful, nothing will confuse you, and everything will be revealed and clear. The only thing you need is to open up to one another and open up the hearts. That requires oiling, proper oiling but it's close to us.
S. Yes, exactly. When you try to incorporate and pray, immediately all of the force that’s still left, you feel like there's not much left and it's all taken from you. You immediately fall asleep.
R. That's exactly the correct state, that's exactly it because you don't have a feeling for the other, you'll be able to ask and to pray. And always in spite of every difficulty that may come, you’ll ask, then you’ll discover it's possible and you will receive an answer.
5. S. (18:51) Everything I know I know from you and I don't know if I understand correctly. So the question is the work of love of others. I, as an egoist, can love myself and I begin from this, but if this work is summarized in this that I care for my friends and seemingly invest myself in them, invest myself like parents and their children. When a person invests in his kids he loves them but there are even biological parents who haven't invested much in their kids and they don't even recognize their children, maybe. Is this the work?
R. This is the work that you need to do which will bring you to the love of friends and afterwards to the love of the Creator.
S. How to continue from this because I'm working myself anyway, in this action and this work. I'm constantly running my ego, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to continue, I'm gradually exiting to the next level. This is work, that it's continuing to the end until it emerges or it changes?
R. No, upper forces will be revealed more and more, the Creator and you will see an entirely different kind of work ahead of you, just wait.
6. S. (21:13) In the Congress we spoke a lot about embarrassment and I wanted to ask why every action of ours including when you're raising prayer, or on the physical level doing some action and cleaning the building or trying to help the friends; after every action a person gets fear if he operated correctly or not.
R. This was given to you in order to advance you further on a more correct path so you’ll be able to appreciate yourself correctly, so it's good.
7. S. (22:28) We've all gathered from so many different places for one goal. When we prepare some meals and portion all the components it gives the dishes flavor. Do we focus on the central goal or gradually on secondary goals until we come to the main one that we reveal in the connection between us; to attain the quality of reception on the intention to bestow?
R. It's best to hold before you the primary goal and constantly yearn for it because those intermediary goals might confuse you. They will be revealed, they will be revealed but nevertheless, they’re intermediary. Keep before you the primary goal.
8. S. (24:03) What prevents the heart from opening? If everything we are lacking is the opening of the heart then what's closing our heart to such an extent that we can’t open it?
R. Our ego doesn't let us open the heart and we can’t do anything about it. We’re not the owners of our hearts, only the Creator is. Hence the more we yearn for the correct goal, we need to ask the Creator and to cry, so that He will give us this great gift and open up our hearts. And we’ll be able to see through the open heart all the forces of creation and in this way, we will advance.
9. S. (25:32) Love thy friend as thyself. If you're inside the ego you love yourself, so how do you connect with your friends here at the Congress without your ego?
R. No, without the ego you can’t do it. On the contrary, as it’s written he who is greater than his friend his inclination is greater as well. Meaning, that the more we advance, we advance also with our evil inclination, with our ego. It will become greater and greater and each time we climb above it, it's like climbing a mountain. The higher the mountain the higher you climb until you reach the top. So Kabbalists write about it a lot, that our spiritual path is always moving from problem to problem, from one leap to the next, and each time we're doing it with a greater and bigger ego. And we learn how to rise each time, how to rise from the growing ego and we do it with it.
10. S. (27:36) During the lesson I could feel. During the song, that it's like we're hitting against a wall that separates us spiritually. Is this a correct feeling?
R. Yes, yes.
11. S. (28:31) About the article, what is the reason that I chose these friends and why did they choose me? Who are you really?
R. No one chose the others, rather the Creator as we already understand and feel. The Creator arranged for us that we will come to know one another, come to know this place, this organization and we feel that as such we can advance through our books and teachers. The organization is organized and in it everyone can advance towards the purpose of life, to come to know the Creator, and to reach the purpose of life.
S. What I feel is that I came here with a great deal of suffering, yearning, and desire. We try to connect and embrace one another, but there’s something extra, there’s an addition that is lacking.
R. An extra addition of what we have is very good, we have a greater desire than usual. When you sit there at home like I usually see you every day in the lessons then you are used to such states, but when we come truly now, thousands of people both from far away and those that are closer, that's something else. That's a large desire, that's yearning for one goal although inside we cannot exactly aim ourselves to the same goal but the Creator is doing it. And thus we are in a strong desire, a correct intention and such a convention brings us very, very much closer, very well, and very strongly to the purpose of creation.
S. Thank God that I can receive this wisdom from you, L’Chaim.
12. S. (32:20) There's a power in the group, and I and all the friends we know that if they don't pray for me I will not be able to rise the only reason my spirit rises it’s because the friends are praying for me and I'm using it, but for what, to what end?
R. You're using it in order to rise and to pull them after you, exactly like today maybe that you were drawn after them and that's called each one shall help his friend. That each one aids the other, and in such a manner we obtain the goal, we must connect to one system called Adam, and from within it, from that we all crumble because of our ego, and once again return to that same one desire, in which everyone supports one another and in such everyone connects to one heart, in one desire, hold and to grasp on to one another, and then we begin to feel between us, around us, only one individual force, the Creator.
S. I'm looking at the friends who were concealing themselves I don't know why, why do I say don't think of me think of the Creator why does it happen, why did the friends don't show themselves as if they are hiding where is the power here and in what?
R. I'll tell you. When I arrived at Rabash, I saw six, or seven old men that would sit and learn all sorts of books, that I didn't understand anything in them yet, I didn't even know how to read them, it was very difficult. I didn't know and I didn't understand anything and I didn't even see the relations between those men, they didn't speak among them, and when we'd read the books, they would maybe say a word or two to one another, but I couldn't understand anything, what's going on here; then slowly I began to understand their language, I understood why they behaved the way they did in order not to bother the general reading, and what they even think about one another and how they help one another, they were all about 70 years old, maybe even more, and that's it, you don't see anything externally, that's work in the heart, and the Kabbalists still even call upon us to conceal what's in our heart, the opening of the heart is inside in our desires, in words there is nothing there, if I would rely on their words, I would think that these are just a bunch of old men who have nothing better to do, yes they would gather up and read something, what more did they have to do at their age at 70, and so I think that we don't need to wait till age 70, we can reveal your sensations towards the friends and theirs towards you beforehand without words, songs yes, but beyond this in words, nobody is going to approach you and reveal his love towards you, so sit and wait.
13. S. (39:01) What strategy can you overcome the deficiencies that prevent us from opening our hearts towards the friends?
R. 16. S. (44:48) Usually in our work I feel perfection towards the Creator and it's all good, but then it seems that my annulment is not yet sufficient, so I wanted to ask, how can I attain complete true annulment towards the Creator?
R. If you ask me I'm asking about that too, do you think that I'm at the end of correction? No, and therefore, we're going together, we are going together.
S. That creates shame like fire in the heart?
R. What shame?
S. Shame because I don’t want to receive?
R. Yes, but it's better to not think how to receive and how not to receive, but rather how to bestow and how to help, support, that's more important. Because of me wanting to receive or not wanting to receive that's one thing, but where I must come to support everyone, to help everyone, that's the most important thing.
S. If I understand correctly, there is one thing I don't want to receive because I feel myself small. I'm not talking about that, but let's say that I feel the love of the Creator, and I can’t love the Creator the same way that he loves me, that causes shame?
R. No it's not too bad don't be ashamed, want to be as close as possible to him.
17. S. (47:50) I remember the days that I started having an interest in the wisdom of Kabbalah, it was a small group it wasn't yet channel 66 on TV, and you dreamed I guess about the future, and I'm sure that as a result of your work and your yearning our convention grew such dimensions, so the question is, how to open the heart one towards the other so that we will also be able to open our heart and also be able to think of the future so we can get benefit to those that follow?
R. If we try to move forward in an increasing connection between us, then undoubtedly the Creator will help us, will accompany us, and we will attain the goal.
18. S. (50:15) Two years ago I got acquainted with my friends, we learned in MAK in the autumn of 2021, I have a question, what gift can I give my friends and all of the world Kli? A gift that will be held during the convention and after?
R. Active participation in the convention, there can be no other gift.
19. S. (51:57) You answered the friend that you can’t see love outwards but Rabash writes that you need to show love outwardly and there's a feeling that in our revelation of love there's some confusion because there's some constant scrutinies, where are we wrong, how to do more precisely what you and Rabash recommended?
R. You're erring and you're stumbling all the time and you need to scrutinize this all the time, where did you fall and where did you stumble and continue on this path. That's it, search.
20. S. (53:18) During the convention we feel so much joy and love, how can we rise above our will to receive?
R. Only in the connection between the friends, try to emerge out of yourself into the friends and embrace them within, inside yourself, or within them and that's how you will advance.
21. S. (54:20) We have meals, we have lessons, we have gatherings of friends, there's constant pressure on the egoism, and there's a break when you go out and you think what is this, what's happening here is this Bnei Baruch doing this on me is it Rav himself, is it the Creator acting this way, what's going on, what do I need to do? In my free time when there isn't this compressor like there is here, there you can just breathe openly and it's clear that there is where you need to create this pressure internally yourself because you have all of this time and free time, you don't need to talk a lot you need to put something within ourselves, you say that when you came to study there were six elderly men who didn't even speak your language, how in our time would you act, you go out and everything is open, what do you do?
R. The next day he came to my workplace, and he said I summed it up with him, we can go there now, he’ll give us the teacher that will teach us and learn with us, I didn't really want to go, I told him, he said it's not nice and I promised him and we talked, he had this kind of attitude towards this elder folk, and we traveled there, and he gave us one of the elder men there and he said take them, learn with him and the elder man said come, we entered the adjacent room, we sat down, around that rotting board of a table, on an old bench, he sat down in front of us, open the Preface and started reading, well, of course, we started to listen, and of course it grabs you, it conquers you.

(01:03:16) In the last lesson we had great joy from being together and we covered everything no matter what happened it was sacred, now I look around and I see half of the friends are just being detached, they are just falling asleep. I can't do anything the same is happening to me, I remember that you told Rabash once you asked him what's missing and he said what's missing is an attack. R. Please.
23. S. (01:08:28) Is love a gift from the Creator? and if it is a gift from the Creator what do we need to do to get this gift? The reason I asked this question, I cried a lot under my shower asking the Creator to open my heart, because what people see today is me hugging them, I could not hug a human being, generally I could not hug people, I could not love people by my nature and today I prayed and I can hug people of different race, different colors and I reached this conclusion that this must be a gift from the heavens possibly because I cried in 2019 during Rosh Hashanah under my shower asking for my heart to be opened, is this a gift? Do we need to cry to get this gift, when we really cry?
R. As much as I have known you for several years now, certainly you’re receiving gifts all the time and you need to share those gifts with everyone, to explain how to come to such states as you have come to and so it will be for everyone such gifts just like you have and it's very pleasant to see you here again and again here with us.
24. S. (01:11:27) To accept all of the friends in the heart opens up a lot of emotions and sensations, it also gives emotion or a feeling of lack of strength and a state of helplessness from not being able to get help or to give help. How can we not forget that it's the Creator who does everything and not remain in some imagination?
R. Demand, ask of him to be revealed and show all the work that he's performing on you.
25. S. (01:14:18) How can I hate myself when I love myself so much?

26. S. (01:16:53) The heart wants to drink, and control all the time; how can we reach true subjugation completely?
R. What the mind can't do and our forces, time does, we just need to continue, just continue. It's a long path we need to just believe that at any given moment a little more and a little more of the upper light is coming to us and is correcting us and is giving us the forces and qualities of bestowal and love of others from the upper world. 27. S. (01:18:24) First of all to thank the Creator, our Rav, because our groups, our tens in Spain are very connected and this is the question. When my personal ego suffers does it connect more to the Creator and to the ten?
R. No, we don't need to suffer, we need to go with joy singing and in an embrace and love between us and then we will step upon our ego and not feel any problem.
S. Why does the suffering get expressed in the ten?
R. Because you're not happy that you're moving forward. That's it, we need to be in joy, in song, and embrace together, all of us in this way to reach forward to a world of love.
28. S. (01:20:29) When you say that the Creator does everything even when you came to Rabash you said that you didn't understand anything, he organizes everything, he drives us and guides us and spins us, to receive the gifts that you talked about earlier, he gives us gifts every day and that's the opening of the heart that we're all demanded to do all of us together, there's our half, our gift, what we need to give Him in order to receive His love, in order to respond to His love; so she's asking what is our half what do we need to give to the Creator, how do we need to respond to his love.
R. Only to ask. To just ask for Him to help us.
29. S. (01:22:56) Always when I had to receive something it was something important from me I was afraid, I was excited and before this convention, I also experienced those feelings that excitement, the fear, the expectation, but I knew with certainty that I won't receive a thing that I need to give up something?
R. To give up, explain.
S. I felt this fear probably within the ego, I would simply be meaningless, I just wouldn't be
R. Why won't you be?
S. Because I'm a great big egoist and I want many things and I won't receive anything from any of this?
R. Oh you poor thing.
S. I'm horrible, I know, I understand this. I really want my heart to be corrected, I'm doing all that I can and even more sometimes but I am tough, I'm dry, and in short I don't know what to do with this heart. What am I supposed to concede to give up so that this heart will open up a little?
R. Ask from the Creator.
S. I'm asking.
R. Probably not enough, probably not enough. Together with the friends in the ten, connect, they have the same problem and all together ask; if you have a ten you will ask together, the Creator cannot refuse you, and that's all, and alone you can cry for thousands of years.
30. S. (01:26:50) I feel this warm joy inside of me, how can I pass this feeling I have on to my friends, how can I pass it to the others?
R. It doesn't matter what you feel, continue and continue and continue and all of those emotions will change and instead of them new sensations will come.
31. S. (01:27:35) How can I pass this feeling to diminish their pain?
R. To the friends, why?
S. Because I'm happy, I have a feeling of warm joy inside of me and I want to pass this on to others to help my friends?
R. Connect with them, connect with them, very simple, nothing special here, there's nothing special here.
32. S. (01:28:36) There's this desire to connect the hatred to myself and the yearning to love the friends as one hole that fills one another, meanwhile it seems to be separated, how can I connect these two states?
R. It can be done, but gradually. Do it once, or twice, and by that slowly, slowly you'll get used to it.
33. S. (01:29:27) How can we all together ask for one gift for everyone and what are you asking in this convention?
R. What am I asking?
S. What do we need to ask and what are you asking?
R. I ask in this convention for love. Love.
S. Do we also need to ask for love, when love?
R. Can I advise you what to ask for? It has to come from your heart. Well between us there's nothing to ask from the Creator other than that. He gives you everything other than love, other than the love he gives per request.
34. S. (01:31:00) We gathered here over 100 people in Kyiv. How do you open the vessel of your heart from Kyiv so that you will incorporate in us and we will incorporate in You?
R. We've been working on it with you for many months already; we have contact so there's nothing here to depict to create, we’re very close to one another, we're praying for one another, we hope for there to be peace in every place and in the next convention we will all gather together, all of us; the next convention will be in Turkey close to everyone relatively, we'll all go there.
35. S. (01:33:27) I'm here for the first time. They're sending great regards and my ten really loves you; the question. After our hearts are opened, you gave us instructions to the friend to grip onto the Creator so that he will fill our common heart. How can we practically implement this? And what do we need to feel as a result of it?
R. When you grasp something then you can imagine how you grasp it, so you need to make such a movement towards the Creator; not once but many times, every day 20 times, and then you will succeed in this yearning towards the Creator. Such exercises will bring you to inner movement, and external motion. Good luck.

(01:35:33) I was sitting with the friends and I got a tap on my shoulder I was asked to ask a question for another friend because she didn't have the strength to ask the question I said yeah sure okay, so we wrote the question on the paper we looked at the question and I saw who the question came from and I as I read the question I felt like I have to ask this question it's important so the question is, what is the proof that I have love of friends? Is it when I support or pray for the friends’ corporeal desires, to be fulfilled, or when I pray for the friends to be fulfilled spiritually?
R. How do you know that you have love of friends, from the fact that you want to do everything in order for them to have contact with the Creator.
S. I feel the love of friends, I have my friends, I make friends here, my friends at the table we're all sitting together, crying together and the friends back home were connected, we fell together they're happy that I'm glued to them when I'm speaking to them and I feel them with me also?
R. I feel your heart and I understand what you're trying to say, however still we don't have anything else to think about other than the fact that the Creator will give the friends the ability to bestow unto him, onto the Creator. Not that he’ll bestow upon them, but that he will give them the ability to bestow upon Him upon the Creator, that is what we are asking from, that will be truly a gift and a prayer for each and every friend, she has a deep emotion.
37. S. (01:39:58) My friends are with me in my heart; I want to ask a question for a friend. Rav said that the intellect will follow the heart. How can you balance the mind and the heart in the ten?
R. We need to integrate ourselves, our mind, and our heart inside the ten and to try and think together with them, to talk together with them, to sing, to do everything together to such an extent that we will just we will feel that if we would detach from that we disappear; we simply something will happen to us, we disappear. So let's try, really try to connect to incorporate one with the other all of us together as one in one connection so that what happens to every person will happen to everyone, to everyone; that this connection it won't disappear, it will grow and be included more and more until we come from all these different types of connections to a single body, to a single heart, to a state that there's no way out of, so that all of us together to the world. That's all.

38. S. I have a question; today we read the article number two of Rabash and my Ten has a question about the article; what to do if we make efforts every day, every hour in love of friends but the heart of the friend is not awakened and only her ego is growing, instead of negative expressions so what is it saying, that I'm making the wrong efforts or not enough efforts, how to not enter into the left lane in this case?
R. You're lacking a partner in that.
S. I have a Ten.
R. The Creator, the Creator needs to be with you in these efforts to come closer to the heart of the friend. Don't forget about the Creator in any action that you do, that's the only way the action can succeed, that's it.
