Prayer - Selected Excerpts from the Sources, #5

1. Rav’s Introduction: In truth it's hard to talk about the prayer because it includes everything and there is nothing greater than turning to the Creator. You can say that all of reality, all of our state is arranged for us to turn to see him. That's how we need to see ourselves in each and every state, we have to see it according to the opportunity that affords us to turn to the Creator because through our various efforts, when we try to connect and turn to the Creator by that we are doing all of our work. Everything we have comes to us from above and everything we can attain and grow it all comes from above. Man’s effort is only in prayer and the Creator is expecting only a complete prayer from us and the more complete our prayer is, the more we advance on the degrees, ascending, climbing up to Him towards the Creator. Each time we try to connect between us and put together between us that leads to the Creator the prayer and accordingly we are realizing all of our work there is nothing more than that. Meaning everything we have to do all of it, is to compose a plea to the Creator, demand gratitude and anything possible so that together we can be drawn to him from each and every ten. 

From the very first prayer that we spoke about yesterday, I seek my brothers and all the way to the last prayer by which we conclude our corrections to be as one ten, made of all the souls, all of this entire way we walk. It's all by discovering the tendencies between us towards the Creator and asking him to realize them because the execution is on him, the request is on us and the execution is on him and that's what we have to do each time. We have to ask the prayer, the demand and then we have to see how much we are advancing and the prayer of gratitude each time again and again raising the deficiency, the prayer, the demand. Then the conclusion of the state, the prayer of gratitude. That's how we advance, so let's hope that we see in this process we just need to see we don't need anything except for the request from the Creator and as much as it is correctly arranged and the person feels in his heart that he has a way to the Creator through the ten. He is raising his personal MAN, together with the collective MAN, there's room in it for the Creator to be revealed. and his desire will be humanity's desire in its entirety, a vessel and it equalizes with a deficiency of the Creator we can see ourselves as coming closer to adhesion. This is the process we are going through. I don't know what to say because the prayer is so much an all inclusive concept outside of which nothing exists and it seems like we have this kind of life, that kind of life, this kind of relationships, these kinds of actions, no.  Everything in the end is included and addressed to the Creator because in all the parameters that we discover as our lives as our world, all the signs of awakening that we get each and every moment in each and every thing and all in all in our work we need to receive from him all these signs all these clues all these influences and put them all together in the ten in order to turn to him in return. So as much as we are capable of doing this work, we are coming closer to the Creator. When we are in this process of “I to my beloved and my beloved to me” and we are constantly in this dialogue with Him. From us we are raising MAN from him we receive MAD and MAN MAD, MAN and MAD, and the more we are in it without any cessation then accordingly we are coming closer to our corrections. 

2. S. (07:44) What is a complete prayer?

R. In each and every degree, a different concept in each and every state.  A complete prayer is when I discover that I have in my world my existence it all comes to me from the Creator and then taking all of these parameters, all of that information and all of life, the universe and everything I can imagine in all of my five senses, in my feeling and all my intellect. I take everything and from that I assemble my plea to the Creator what do I want from my existence? That is the complete prayer simple and everyone is capable of that.

R. It is all included in the prayer I'm not sure what you referred to, of course the whole world is the attitude of the Creator towards us, and from that we need to put together our understanding of what he wants from us and turn through it back to him all of our life. Our existence is made of these two things, how He relates to us and how we relate to Him. Everything else is included in His attitude towards us and from our attitude towards Him. Life that we feel is simply the Creator's attitude towards us, the world, humanity, everything that is happening is His attitude towards us. From the understanding of our state from the inclination of our heart, we have to compile our response to Him, what do we want from existing, from being, from what He is doing to us.

3. S. (10:20) I heard you say that we need to raise the personal MAN together with the collective  MAN.This raising together, does this belong to the awakening from below or is this given from above?

R. No, MAN is called awakening from below from each and every one, when he feels in the ten we want to combine all of our deficiencies in the ten and raise them to the Creator. This is called the MAN of the vessel less than ten there is no vessel.

S. My question is specifically what I heard you say we need to rise together like this collective MAN, like an opening to be as one-man in one heart. Would it be up to us? How do we do it?   Is this only done for instance by our words, to raise this collective MAN?

R. Each and every one of us needs to scrutinize his desire, how we are getting to the Creator  through the ten and later when we try and work at it, we see that it's possible only through the connection between us since less than ten in the group and complete annulment between one another we cannot turn to the Creator and that's the other thing. The third thing is that we're looking for ways to be connected between us although each and everyone with his personal MAN, because we are connected to one Creator we try to be in this single eternal inclination. The desire has to be one although it is included of all ten desires, Reshimo let's say. We will scrutinize it later for the time being we can't feel it, we have nothing with which to work here, simply each one through the ten together with the friends, each one wants to turn to the Creator with the deficiencies in his heart, that's our work. You have to try and do it and then from your experience you will see how it all works out and it will become clear, very quickly.

4. S. (13:34) When we connect with the friends we perform activities of connection in order to connect and I always see myself as higher than the friends, that I am doing better things than they are and that brings me to suffering because I can't annul myself. Is this the right deficiency to bring to the Creator and ask him to correct it?

R. Deficiency in a person especially towards connection, failed connection, that certainly is a deficiency the Creator's revealing in him so that a person will be able to return back to the Creator with that deficiency. Now there is a dialogue between you already and that's how we come into contact with the Creator.

5. S. (14:39) During the day we connect, the friends gather to read excerpts from the articles of Rabash, should we conclude these meetings by raising prayer for the Creator by doing a Kaddish?

R. You can do whatever you want but we are speaking about how to build a prayer. We are not taking anything from any books although there are many pre written prayers from Ramchal, Psalms a series of prayers and so on and so forth, but we want to build it from within ourselves, build it from ourselves, by ourselves and that's what the Creator is expecting us to do. All those prayers that we can read in different books that were composed by Kabbalists from past generations, they can be an example for us. I don't want to speak using their words. I want to speak the words that come out of my heart and from the friends heart. In that way we connect between us at our deficiencies and these deficiencies we are raising to the Creator.

6. S. (16:29) It seems that the prayer has to become like breathing, if you don't need to pray we don't exist. How can we come to the sensation that we have to be in a constant prayer to live, to exist?

R. In truth our prayer has to be this constant connection between us and the Creator and our address to Him and His response to us, we have to grow accustomed, as is written “May he pray all day.” We are constantly in a state of demand and gratitude and dialog with the Creator “I to my beloved and my beloved to me”. This is our only form of existence, we already exist only in prayer with the Creator and He bestows to us the feeling of life with all the changes in it and then return, even though we're not aware of it, we feel in our hearts is felt in this general force called the Creator. We have to come to a state where we aim ourselves, we arrange our MAN from the Creator on the condition that we are participating in it clearly. We enter into this mutual connection with the Creator, “I to my beloved and my beloved to me”. That is the difference since in truth all of humanity each and every person is in contact with the Creator, each and every detail of the will to receive in the still, vegetative, animate and human levels is in contact with the Creator because the will to receive in it is arranged by the Creator. There is nothing in this reality that exists in and of itself, rather It is all under the control the authority of the Creator. The Creator wants the created being to awaken as a speaking degree, as a human. He wants that creature to rise back to the Creator and connect to him from below up, so they reach mutual connection, complete adhesion.

7. S. (19:39) How can we use bad thoughts in a ten to bring their friends closer to the prayer?

R. From bad thoughts we can rise to prayer even more than from good thoughts, because negative thoughts are more powerful and they bother you more, they stick out more so you can use them to reach the correct plea to the Creator since He is the one who invokes these thoughts in us. Hence we are turning to him and asking for correction, not that he will take them back rather he is revealing the evil inclination in us. Now, thanks to the negative thoughts I discovered such an inclination in me that I can turn to him and ask for corrections. I have to rejoice that such desires awaken in me.

8. S. (21:03) How can I come to the right deficiency to get closer to the Creator?

R. Listen closely to what He awakens in you, to what you are awakened and how much He can bring you to corrections directly called gratitude or indirectly called a request for correction. Coming closer to the friends you'll be able to turn to Him.  Specifically by discovering what the Creator wants to awaken in me, what is He invoking because everything in my mind, my heart, it's all from Him. Who am I after all, I am the will to receive that he created and what exists in the will to receive comes from Him, so my thoughts and desires that's all me, it's not me, it's what He arranged, formed, created so it turns out that I only need to check myself, who am I, what am I, all of which I got from Him. Then check these things that I receive from Him as a result from the shattering. How do I see myself in a more advanced state towards the Creator in a more corrected state and then to ask about this gap between what is present and what is desired.

9. S. (23:10) What is the difference between prayer and intention?

R. In truth through the prayer we express our intention, what do we wish to come to every intention is included in the prayer. There are a few other pleas to the Creator we are grateful to Him, well you know in general to be in adhesion is what we wish to reach by using prayer, this is my intention.

10. S. (24:09) You said that the whole world is the attitude of the Creator towards us. How should we bring all of these influences in the ten and in the way that we don't weaken the ten?

Or more precisely Rav, when can we say that our answer to the Creator’s actions towards us can be considered as MAN?

R. MAN is not the way the Creator addresses us, it's how we address the Creator, if I understood correctly from you. Each time we turn to the Creator this is called MAN except we have to distinguish since MAN is the connection between Malchut and Bina is called MAN. How much of my demand includes a deficiency in the force of bestowal instead of the force of reception, this is called MAN. The yearning for the force of bestowal the quality of bestowal is called MAN.

11. S. (26:02) What is the benefit in turning to the Creator before it's actually felt that I have to turn to him?

S. Sometimes we say let's pray together to the Creator and it's still not felt in all the organs, in all my bones that I have to turn to him so it's done kind of artificially?

R. We need to constantly turn to the Creator and then through such efforts we will feel that our entire life depends on it, the present and the future. We have to arrange ourselves and our entire life, all of our actions, the study, the efforts, everything has to be only in order to connect to the prayer to Him. It has to be before us as one goal, nothing more, nothing. We come to the correct prayer to the Creator and by that everything is concluded. We raise MAN, a deficiency for the connection between us and adhesion with Him and by that it's all concluded and we are correcting the vessel of Adam HaRishon.

12. S. (27:41) The Creator wants me to turn to Him, the world group wants me to turn to Him, my group wants me to turn to Him but I have no desire to turn to Him, I don't even know how?

R. I told you what to do from morning to night, constantly think, making inner efforts that you do wish to turn to him, this too is considered a prayer.

S. I don't know what it is.

R. The fact that you don't know it is clear, don't explain to me that you don't want it, there are thousands like you. The fact that you don't understand how to turn to him also you don't need to explain it to us, all of us are in the same boat. The fact that each one wants to have the strength for the others to turn to him, we also want it more or less because without it we won't reach our goal. So don't tell us what you have, we all have it, we are talking about the efforts we need to make. Not that we can sit quietly and maybe it'll come to us by itself, rather each shall help his friend, we must act before each other, shake each other up, show examples to one another and by that we reach the goal. This is the essence of man's spiritual work, inside the ten at least he needs to shake the ten and Him with it, so that they'll be able to connect and turn to the Creator. We have nothing else to do so please try to do it. I don't want to hear any excuses, I don't want it, either you're doing it or you are you can leave. Go ahead because there's no other way either we are drawn to it or we are out of the game. 

Here you have one condition before you, to be included as much as possible in all forms mechanically, physically, emotionally in your desire, it doesn't matter how and together with everyone, we reach a demand or a request of the Creator, don't tell me anything else. I can say all those words in your place and we understand that no one wants it, no one is ready for it, each one has many complaints that's not for him it's not for us and so on and so forth that too we received from him and on top of all those obstacles we need to connect and rise to Him. So don't bring me children's complaints, I don't want it, everything you get from the Creator as the raw data from which you need to compose the prayer requests to Him.

13. S. (31:35) Is the prayer heard by the Creator even if it's done without the intention, provided it is raised from within the ten?

R. The system is built in such a way that everything we have in our brain, in our hearts come from the Creator and everything and that we, all of our instinctive reactions are also felt in the Creator. We have such a connection between us as if we are part of one body. The creatures are made like that, we are seemingly in the Creator's womb and we can't feel we are developing there, but we are in Him. If we wish to bring about development, we need to try by ourselves to connect above what he is doing between us and these fights, or these connections and we need to turn to him consciously when we assemble this address. By this we are giving him contentment, how much we can put in the effort beyond all of those desires and thoughts, in our brains and our hearts that he awakens in each one of us what can we do? When each one of us reacts the more we react, respond, it doesn't mean that I do it, rather it's what the Creator has prepared for me each and every one of us. If he thinks that he can pray and return to the Creator, it's a lie, it's not him, rather he reacts, he simply responds to what the Creator is arranging in him. 

That is what exists in us only, no one can pray alone. But if we are incorporated in one another in the ten then and only then each one of us to the extent that through the resistance, above the resistance we connect to the ten nevertheless he tries to build with them the plea to the Creator this means that he is arranging his prayer to the Creator, only in this way. So as we discussed many times the Creator doesn't hear a prayer from one person. Since he himself forms it in a person, rather only a person who connects with his ten in that above the conflict and the problems that he has some connection and the scrutiny, above that he arranges his plea to the Creator because his connection to the ten is only to turn to the Creator. That's what the Creator considers all the difficulties a person has to connect in the ten. In all our work in all of the degrees will be in how the Creator arranges in us the difficulties of connection and above this difficulty we connect between us to turn to Him, the prayer otherwise does not exist. So all these complaints that I get from all these wise guys I hear, we can’t, we don't have it, it doesn't matter. I don't want to hear how difficult it is because the difficulty for me by the Creator so above it we will come to turn to Him.

14. S. (36:18) Out of our common prayer we are trying to make, how should this attack that we will make, what should it look like?

R. An attack that's true, it has to be in attack meaning we are attacking the borders between us, the barriers between us we wish to break the walls of our hearts, break those walls to connect together as one man and one heart and from that to turn to the Creator. When we start to do it, will feel how the Creator is helping us even there, clear?

15. S. (37:23) If I understand correctly, if we raise man correctly from the ten we feel difficulty in connecting?

R. Not necessarily but it doesn't matter what we feel we have to raise our common desire to the Creator.

16. S. (37:53) Is the prayer a summary of the spiritual work and if so what is special about the prayer that is accepted?

R. Prayer is the summary of your spiritual work, come to it and you'll see all the rest of the answers, responses.

17. S. (38:41) What does it mean to be in the Creator's womb in the prayer?

R. We are constantly in this womb always. I wanted to say the fact that we are in the Creator like an embryo inside its mother, it means that everything we can raise to Him personally from each and every state, each and everyone is going through and this is not MAN, the Creator doesn't need to know about it because He scrutinizes that in us. He arranges that in us, why did he shatter the vessel of Adam HaRishon?  Only for the sake of connection because through the shattering we arrange our connection back to Him, and if we were not broken with the ego between us, we wouldn't need to connect above the ego then we would have no way to turn to Him with our own prayer, our own request, address. Rather we would respond to Him by somewhat what he's doing to us. He is pricking me and I say, Oy, I felt it, so it is not a reaction. Clearly that's what I'm going to do with the other way around. He's giving me something good and I'm happy. 

I cannot raise a prayer by myself rather only when I overcome these barriers between us that were created through the shattering of the vessels and in my desire to break those barriers between us and connect with the others. When I take my personal desire and I multiply it according to the resistance of the barrier, this is what I raise to the Creator and I cannot go through this barrier, fine, raise a prayer. You have to pray constantly, I can't connect and I want to connect and I can't. I don't want to connect to Him, also ask because you also can’t, for each and everything. First of all about connection and prayers about connection you have to raise to the Creator for his help, in essence you don't need anything else because all the rest you discover in the vessel you are connecting. By trying to connect and turning to the Creator by that you discover the deficiencies and you connect to Him. Just understand where we have to work, we are not leaving that, this is our work for the entire process of correction until the end of correction.

S. (42:23) When you are overcome these barriers in connection to the friends and turn to the Creator then you feel as if you are in His hands and then you have no deficiencies or request or an outcry, so it turns out that this is the work you have to do until the next fall until he picks you up again, so you can turn to him?

R. I'm not sure what you're asking, whatever you feel you are lacking right now to reach connection between everyone and with the Creator, this is your work. Start speaking to Him from that. If you're doing it methodically you'll constantly find before you more and more places for work,

18. S. (43:19) In the prayer there are many shades, is there an order we should do in the prayer?

R. Is there an order to the prayer we have to follow in the ten according to what you feel you have to do, accordingly you should do. I'm not going to write the order of actions 1234 so on and so forth that you have to do rather you have to see what's before you, what prevents you from being connected in one heart and from that turn to the Creator. The Creator will connect you to one heart and will appear there. The revelation of the Creator in the complete connection is called the end of correction and by that you'll discover all of the upper world, all of creation and it's wholeness, in eternal wholeness.

19. S. (44:48) When you raise the correct prayer in the ten you say the Creator is responding with MAD what does it mean he's responding with MAD? How do we know he answered?

R. What you feel during the prayer, after the prayer, in every single state, our situation, this is called the Creator is turning to you. What you feel right now, right now is the Creator creating in you, but MAD, the Creator's answer means if you reach the MAN, you have the connection with the ten and from the connection with the ten you turn to the Creator and this in some way, the response is received from the Creator as MAD meaning you already get the strength to connect from H

20. S. (46:07) In the preparation they asked us how to turn to the Creator in order for him to show us the friends in wholeness,  is this a prayer for the tens, or is this individual to see the friends in wholeness?

R. No, that too is through the ten, we have nothing that should rise to the Creator that is outside of the ten, we really don't. There is nothing personal when I ask of the Creator give me the possibility to connect to them, I want to take that through the ten too, this is a prayer that comes from each one and we can connect these deficiencies of each one to connect to the ten also and make it a deficiency of the ten. Turn all of us together, a desire to connect among us, why not.  A person has nothing personal as we are each are parts, pieces of a broken vessel, so in every way we have to depict ourselves as a broken vessel that is already connected.

S. So each prayer every time we turn to the Creator to connect us even though it seemingly comes from me, any prayer for connection is a correct prayer through the ten?

R. Yes, besides the prayer for connection between us and from us to the Creator there is nothing more than that.

21. S. (48:08) How to feel the Creator's response, in which vessels?

R. It's simply that each state you feel comes to you from the Creator it's called, ‘Before they call I will answer.’ or before you turn to Him I already got the answer, you turn to him you already got the answer. We have to get this article and study it and afterwards we will feel that in raising MAN too, the Creator participates much less in the MAD in general behind everything we do he stands there and fashions it and precisely by revealing it we come to adhesion with Him.

22. S. (49:25) What kind of inner effort do we have to put in, in order to take yourself in a 10 to a state of understanding of what is MAN?

R. MAN is our deficiency to the Creator, if you yearn in order to be connected in order to attain the Creator turn to him to bring him to bring contentment through your efforts to connect, by this you are turning to the Creator and your turn towards connection in order to turn to the Creator to get closer to him, by this you raise MAN.

23. S. (50:25) Our friend is asking should I return to the Creator to correct my mistakes when I see myself incomplete and wrong with friends?

R. We have to turn to the Creator and yearn to reach only connection between us. I don’t need to correct myself that I am a liar, that I'm arrogant, that I'm a thief, who am I and what am I, I am full of flaws, no one is worse than I. I don't need to correct that, I don't need to correct it, I need to correct only my connection with the 10, that's it. This is very important, I don't care who I am for myself that I seem that way to me but only in my connection with the ten, in all the things that I discovered, that I discover if I do, all of them will be corrected only through my connecting to the friends, only in this way. So I don’t need to count that I have this, I have this and that or that I'm like this and like that. I'm not going to expose all the bad things in me because those who think about them are in them. We mustn't do that, rather we should be drawn to the good, to connection with the friends and by this we both reveal the bad thing but we reveal them through the disposition towards connection. There is nothing bad unless it's as a result of the breaking and therefore there is no correction towards the good except for connecting the shattering. This is what we have to understand so I am not drawn to anything and I don't regret anything but only the connection. This is what I have to obtain.

S. Prayer wanting full surrender to the Creator, should this prayer be wanting full surrender to the Creator?

R. Of course in every single state.

24. S. (53:31) Why didn't you ask after a person goes through a difficult state and he hears that he had to ask, how should it change his attitude from that point onwards to the states going over him and to life?

R. All the states he goes through come to him from the Creator so that he will ask for connection to the 10 and from the connection to the 10 he will rise to the Creator. He doesn't even need to ask for anything other than connection because all the problems, inclinations we have that are bad, all stem from the shattering. So, only connection among us in the 10 is what we need in order to correct all the discernments, all the desires, all the thoughts that are egoistic in us. We don't need to think about I'm like this, I'm like that and he's like this and like that. We need to yearn for connection, ask for connection and by this all the bad becomes good, because a force comes from above and all the negative things atop of them connect us and they become the thing that holds the power of connection, that holds the good things, love will cover all crimes and then you gain twofold, you correct the bad and you gain the good.

25. S. (55:28) For the connection in the 10 each one feels himself in a different state in each one it burdens differently, it pains him differently, so what is the common desire?

R. I don't know let's say that we have this beautiful portion, this beautiful dish of food so let's sit around the table in the 10, each one is taking from that dish and we eat, drink some whisky enjoy sitting together, we speak about ourselves, about the connection among us and all that, of course each one taste the different tastes in the whiskey and in the food that we are eating, why should I bother us? It doesn’t, we don't connect our impression with the food, how we taste the different flavors, our different personal flavors, we connect our inspiration, this is where we connect. In the case of the Creator it's called because in him our heart rejoices because we are all inspired by him because from him we get the deficiency and to him we raise MAN and our request, our gratitude and thanks, everything is to him. We have no problem with this, what we all feel in our personal vessels, our personal discernments, doesn't disturb us, we connect above our vessels, connect our impressions from the connection from the one force because we have one Creator, One Source in which we connect and from which we are impressed or inspired. Think about this question, there will be other such questions and the answer will always be the same because the Creator is one above all of us therefore we have no problem in each of us being impressed personally, in feeling and feeling personally, individually. I can't compare what I taste in my mouth with what you taste or what he tastes, each one has his own impression but the intention, the inclination, the disposition can be common to all of us.

27. S. (01:03:00) Why is it so difficult to reach the correct prayer?

R. You see after a year according to this material and seeing what is important in the spiritual work; we went through so many things we have grown through it and it's still hard for us to accept that all our work is through turning to the Creator and nothing else. If I don't turn to the connection and the ten doesn’t turn to the Creator, it is as if I did nothing, you understand now? It's the extract of our work and it's still not simple. It's great resistance in each one and then everyone together because this is the source of the correction of the evil inclination it's the main, it's the only correction of creation and therefore in this we are certain to stand here and get stuck there. All of our ascent on those degrees is in establishing the same thing, the connection between us and turning into the Creator and getting the power to connect from the Creator, there's nothing more. 

But it's as difficult as it may be; these are the five worlds, all the degrees, all the states we have to go through, only in this and increasing the connection between us and turning to the Creator getting the strength from Him. We connect and again in our connection we reveal the next state, the next stage, how much more connection we need, we scrutinize even more above the power of separation if we try to connect. We understand that we can't and we turn to the Creator to connect us because only through connection between us can we turn to Him, adhere to Him and be close to Him, we get the strength from above. By this we connect because we establish ourselves we raise to Him another turn, another request, another MAN for Him and so on and so on and so on, this is all of our work we're only correcting the broken vessel of Adam HaRshon and now we have come to very concise activities. What do we need to do? So here we have to understand that's it, that's our real work, this is what we need to do.

S. Can the prayer come from a state of joy in the form of gratitude?

R. Of course it can, it can be as a request and is gratitude as well from a state of sadness but our sadness isn't really sadness, our sadness is yearning and that's a better way to put it because why should I be sad if I am under the governance of the Creator. The Creator creates for me even that state of sadness, in other words in every state all I need is to free my effort, reveal that it's coming from the Creator. The minute I know and feel perhaps that it comes from the Creator why is it sad, I'm connected to Him, either in darkness or in light in whatever state I am still connected to Him as long as I am not disconnected and there can't be disconnection if I am connected to the ten through the ten I always have connection. We are all in tens and because we are broken we are in different spiritual states so we can always this is called helping one another, we can always be connected to the Creator through each other. Say today right now my phone is broken but you can be in contact and he can be in contact and in this way all of us together so it turns out in the wheel that's turning some parts are going backwards and some are moving forward and in this way we help each other and we are moving forward. we are progressing everything is a result in the connection and the more we try the more we will see that the shattering is the only means to reveal the unity, the concept of the unity which is the concept of the one, that's the one Creator, the Creator can't show Himself, introduce Himself to hint to us who is he that He is wanting all of creation and besides Him there is nothing but only through the breaking.

S. If throughout the day I constantly repeat there's none else besides Him and is that also a prayer?

R. If you do something alone whatever it is it is nothing besides the inclination to connect and through it to come to the Creator so such questions as if you, it's nothing, moreover by this you are harming the entire ten when you think that alone you are doing anything. Alone you can only want to connect to others and together with them turn to the Creator to connect, to correct the connection between you, you don't achieve connection you only have to show the deficiency, the need to connect and the rest will be done by the Creator.

S. What to do so the need for a prayer will never cool off in the heart?

R. You help each other. The Creator will always give you states where each one can awaken the others; there will always be such force in the ten which you can be assisted with.

S. So finely what to do when you can't grasp the Creator's response to the prayer?

R. What you feel, whatever you feel is called a response, what do you want, you want Him to send you a telegram, to call you on the phone, what do you want happening? The fact that you feel each and every moment what you feel each and every moment is the Creator turning to you don't ask for more. All those feelings will come to the extent that you are raising the correct please to Him and accordingly you will feel His response to you. it's not a broken line it's a direct line that is constantly working, we just have to discover that this is so and go out to Him with a direct tight and constant connection to Him.

28. S. (01:11:37) Connect above the distances is it enough to shine to others from afar and not come closer?

R. What do you mean physical, physical distance?

S. No, internally there's a feeling that when we're together close ....

R. The feeling between us that we are far in our thoughts and desires or that we are connected in our desires and feelings we need to try to see these feelings and ask the Creator to connect us. How to connect not by erasing the distance between us, he doesn't erase them; you like one thing I like another thing there's a distance between us, but we can connect above it above it, love will cover all crimes this is what we ask for we don't know how the Creator arranges it comes to us from above through the reforming light. Rather He connects us together above the breaking desires; say 14 billion years ago scientists say that there was a big bang and out of tiny particle of material light entered it and blasted it and that is when all of creation, the whole universe, started to expand and to fill itself up with stars and galaxies and planets, etc. 

It was all done out of one particle of matter in which the upper light penetrated and that upper light that penetrated the particle built the ego. Now the question is to what extent does this force connect everything it connects everything together there's no problem it's inside, but according to our request it connects us. This is what we need there is nothing special here the distances our parts. they remain, we don't need to be contracted once more into that one particle from which the universe started, no. The upper light, the intention to bestow that we attain, that we demand to have, the intention to bestow this is what connects us all as one and then it turns out that we have a giant desire as big as the light that blasted it and created our huge ego matching the measure of the light because the evil inclination is as the good inclination. On the other hand we also become connected through the upper light which is revealed and connects all those parts together, look at what we gain. We have a will to receive as huge as the light and it is yet as connected as the light and this is all the created being has to reach the level as the Creator, it is called one receiving one, where all the will to receive, the infinite will to receive, receives the infinite light and in this way we all exist this way. I don't know what it is but it seems like something unimaginable but what am I trying to say, everything is present; we just have to ask for it to happen, and we have to come to it, it has to happen and we are already in the final process towards it. Make efforts, exert and we will come to it. 

29. S. (01:17:05) There is a confusion, the Creator lets me understand that everything comes from Him through the ten; I can turn to him only through the ten. He gives me a deficiency, the power to pray; where is my work I feel like an observer?

R. The prayer is our work, the request to the Creator that He will, He doesn't demand anything from us, He created the evil inclination and certainly creates the good force, the corrections through the upper light, He broke the vessel He fashions the vessel in its final form which already exists, we just have to gradually be brought to the form where we are participating, partners in it. Everything happens only according to our request because by this we would become partners with the Creator. 

We want Him to do it every time like a little child asking the parent do this for me, do that. He comes to his father and says do this or do that and the father puts it all together, the father does it. This is what we need to ask and this is what He does because the power is in His hands, in His control, but the request depends upon us and by this we grow and understand that this is how we attain the Creator, by this we attain Him when we know even in advance what He needs to do and we ask Him to do this, to do that, this and that and He does it. Then we build this bricks through our request by His doing until we build an entire vessel.

S. The entire process is called the Creator and His actions, my only action is the process  is the intention to reach a prayer?

R. Only this and this is why it is written I wish you would pray all day besides turning from the ten and from the ten to the Creator we don't need anything. What do you want to do? What can you do? What forces are powers do you have?

S. I want to react.

R. In what can you participate in creation other than to take everything that the Creator gives you, arrange them however you see them correctly and bring them to him, this is called raising MAN, the female waters, Mayin Nukva, when these desires are in the Nukva raise them to Bina,  this is called raising MAN from Malchut to Bina, and this is what you need to do and you can't do this as well and you asked for the forces to raise MAN. R. All of the deficiencies that we raised in MAN are the Reshimot that were created in the descent of the vessel in the breaking down to our world we raise them back up it is called “eating old store long kept”.

R. Yes, this is called Reshimot, raising MAN, Mayin Nukvin, female water, when I yearn, where do I get this yearning from, how do I know I should and to what and to why? Where do I get this deficiency from? These deficiencies were made in building this vessel from the world of Ein Sof down to our world as we learn in the descent of the worlds and Partzufim and Sefirot.

S. How to produce this longing for something abstract and the fact we used to be in attainment and united but how to build it?

R. From where does the division Creator turn to you now, from where do yuu get this deficiency, in other words you have a deficiency, a lack to get something greater than your desire to keep yourself warm in bed. Where is this from? It is all created and revealed in you and therefore it is a preparation that came from the Creator in each and everyone.

S. What does it mean when he says it is revealed in the saying of the prayer, we say that it is possible in silence and and thought what is the speaking of the prayer?

R. All is with the saying of the prayer, it can't be without words, you can whistle it, you can sing it, it can be in any way this is called the saying of the prayer is called speaking because we raise it out of the power of the speaking level. We understand the force of the prayer is the delta, between the state of the broken heart and what we understand or feel from Bina and what is the connected state, and we feel this is above the prayer, the from the prayer we ask the Creator to connect us and we don't want to lose the force, so how do we combine this in our prayer?

R. The deficiency always remains; it is as the Aviut, the coarseness that stands as the basis of the Partzuf and doesn't disappear otherwise you will also lose the feeling, the attainment, everything, you have to have one opposite the other. Those two forces, the force of separation and the force of connection, darkness and light. Therefore, although we ask for connection we don't ask the Creator to erase the separation, we want to attain the connection, through connection above separation. In this point where the opposites are connected, where is it that he writes specifically from the opposites where we reveal the unity, the wholeness. Specifically from this way we advance and the greater the distance between the discernments along with the connection between them, while keeping the separation and establishing the power of the connection, this determines the level, the heights of the attainment.

S. Does this bring us to the middle line? 

R. Yes, after this we build the middle line where all of the opposite discernments connect, in the middle line we attain unity. The concept of unity is the Creator, as the one force and in general only He exists in all of creation and we exist precisely out of the separation, out of the contradiction, because we are opposite from Him. Out of this we become existent and we can attain Him. It is a wonder how in creation there is something else besides the Creator as He is one, unique and unified, yet there is something called created being that can discover the Creator. These things, they have no real words to express them.

32. S. (01:28:26) You said that if I pray alone it has no meaning, you asked Rabash and he said, why didn't you ask? Did you ask for yourself or for everyone? What are the differences between these states?

R. If I am asking for myself then the Creator is starting to play with me in order to bring me in a need to connect to the friends and raise the correct prayer to Him. Personally he can't give me anything, because I'm not a vessel. Let's say there is a vessel here, I don't have this, I need more people, I need more desires so we can make a vessel. What can I do if I am asking only for myself? I'm not a vessel, not a Kli, I'm only one small piece and the Creator works on me all the time, until I will nonetheless feel the deficiency to connect to others. This is why Baal HaSulam immediately answers the article, Matan Torah, The Giving of the Torah, he writes in the article: Arvut, Mutual Guarantee, only by the connection between us, the Arvut, mutual guarantee, when each one helps his friend, we can reach this vessel upon which the Upper Light, we call Torah works, it connects us together and by that we get to the revelation of the Creator. Only in this way, as fast as possible to reach artificial requests, corrupt requests, it doesn't matter. The main thing is that it is together and it is better to have a wrong prayer together, a corrupt prayer together, than one person who is a true righteous raising a prayer, that won't work. Only by us wanting to connect in the form of bestowal, true bestowal between us can we break this shell and we can get the forces out of it, all the forces of the time of the shattering have shifted to the Klipa, and we have to bring them out of there.

33. S. (01:33:08) Repeating the prayers have to be through awareness of None Else Besides Him, in the heart, the mind, the ups and the downs, what does it mean that we're doing this together?

R. A prayer may start being established from people who don't understand anything and don't attain anything, this way it may begin. These people who start on the path have nothing, that's why don't start thinking we're going to reach connections or reach something and then we'll pray, you won't reach anything, even the smallest spiritual degree, you won't reach if you're not raising a prayer for it. 34. S. (01:35:38) What is the difference between a prayer where we're constantly nagging the Creator like a baby and the prayer that we established precisely after several actions?

R. We are always in different states, a question is simple: how do we connect between us in all desires, thoughts where we want to be connected in order to raise MAN, a prayer.

S. That we are nagging whether we understand or not, to prepare ourselves in the ten and then turn to Him in a precise prayer?

R. I think it is better to try each and every moment to find a connection between us and address to the Creator more than what we are preparing ourselves, with all of these things, with all of these small actions in the connection between us and addressing the Creator when each one thinks and wants through the ten to make this address to the Creator and from all of that we will learn more.

35. S. (01:38:21) Gratitude is also a prayer or do we have to ask for something?

R. Creator enjoys the request, because with that he can work, we have to understand that our work is the work of the Creator, the work of the Creator means that I am giving the Creator work to do, that I am causing Him to work.

S. If we ask it's like I am saying that there's something lacking that we don't agree that there's None Else Besides Him?

R. I don't understand the question, think about what you're asking, where you take these things from. Ask again.

S. Let's say we're asking for the friends to connect?

R. The Creator broke that, the Creator broke the vessel creating it in such a way that we are far apart from one another.

S. But, if there’s a ...

R. Try to connect.

S. We are already connected.

R. Ok, you're already connected? So you're revealing the Upper reality? That’s nice, that is a sign that you are truly before and touching the wisdom of Kabbalah. It seems to you that you're righteous and everything is okay, that there is no shattering? This means that you haven't started to reveal creation yet and soon you will discover that you hate each other, they can't stand each other, you can't connect, you don't care about any friends, you don't care about the Creator, you will start revealing these things bit by bit. These are correct discernment, on the path everything is correct.

36. S. (01:41:04) When building the prayer in the ten what is more correct to get to like a certain summary of a prayer and every friend has to see how close he is to that sentence or constant scrutiny until everybody reaches a whole state with a request?

R. That doesn't matter. What is on the path you will discover, there is no answer for it, what you discover is required on the path, do that.

37. S. (01:41:44) Yesterday you said to shut your mouth and open your heart. How do you open the heart to ask from it?

R. First you have to shut your mouth.

S. We tried to deal with this yesterday, today he couldn't connect, he doesn't have the internet, is that a sign?

R. No, there are no signs, stop thinking that there is some sort of game from the Creator with you. R. That is when you and others want to connect together discovering you cannot and then all of your deficiencies, when you are not able to connect and be together, you raise this to the Creator this is called, the raising of MAN, when you feel the deficiency between you and you can't do anything with it, only the Creator can do that. Then you raise it to Him and in this deficiency when you raise it to Him, you have frustration, because you can't do anything with it, even though you want to connect together. Also, there is gladness that you have someone to turn to, the Creator. There are seemingly two Reshimot, Aviut one of coarseness and one of Hitlabshut, clothing and this is how you are asking from Him. We tried, we can't, it's not working, we are crying like a child who comes to his mom or dad that it's not working, they see what’s going on and then they help him. He understands what is going on when they show him how to organize things he tried it and reached a shattering.

S. It turns out that there is a recognition that I'm not connected and the friends are, that is my prayer?

R. No. You want to connect to them and each one wants to connect to others and you discover that you have a lack of connection that you have to raise to the Creator. Try it and don't tell me that I have to see them as if we're all connected, put all the discernments inside and you will see that this will be the raising of MAN. The MAN is the raising of very complex impressions to the Creator.

39. S. (01:46:41) All of these answers from the Creator that we have tried and that we can't. Can this be like we're not satisfied with the answers the Creator is giving us and then we come to a demand, like give us something to work with here? 

R. This answer you get from the Creator is your state after the prayer, scrutinize this state between us, despite that you can connect upon this situation the Creator gives you. It’s possible He’s showing you a worse state than before. Relatively somehow opposite to each other, but it wasn't that bad. When you start turning to the Creator you start feeling that you are in a big quarrel between yourselves, that you really hate each other, later when you rise even more you will feel that you want to kill each other with all of these things. Nonetheless, try to connect between yourselves and turn to Him. This is how we specifically rise in the ladder of degrees and how you will discover a greater hatred out of reaching some connection and in this present connection you discover a greater shattering, each time more and more as an advantage of light out of darkness. You have to discover greater darkness to discover greater light and you need the greater light to discover the greater darkness, this is how it works in a mutual manner.

S. Be satisfied with the answer from the Creator all the time until we get to this point where we can't stand each other and then we come to a demand?

R. No, not to be able to stand each other is not our goal, our goal is connection between us and with the Creator, we want to attain such a connection between us that the Creator will be revealed in the connection between us. That connection, the force, the effort that we make with the intensity of the connection between us will be sufficient to discover the Creator. He is there but in the meantime He is hiding.

40. S. (01:50:10) I got an answer and then a few days ago I felt I didn't get an answer, so I started demanding that He answers, and that’s it? 

R. I don't want to hear what you're talking about because you're telling stories about yourself and not what you are with the group, that is why all of your work is not worth a lot. What I don't hear is that you tried to connect to the group and along with the group you raise this deficiency to the Creator, these are the things I'm not hearing.

41. S. (01:51:32) Yesterday the whole day we were engaging in these materials about prayer and at the first meeting we had in the afternoon was a feeling that we bumped into a wall. We couldn’t connect to one another, it was a clear feeling between us. 

R. Great so you have reached something and yes.

S. Somehow from this unpleasant state.

R. Dire state, yes. 

S. We read the prayer before the prayer by Rabbi EliMelech and somehow it melted the atmosphere, it did open our hearts, how much is the prayer before the prayer important, because we're speaking about prayer, but not really the prayer before the prayer? I feel that we're not in prayer yet. We really need to be in the prayer before prayer as I feel it.

R. You are confused and I don't want to talk to you about these things, reaching some dire state. Why didn't you turn to the Creator with it, why did you turn to Noam EliMelech, his prayer? By this you blurred the situation.

S.  What would have been the solution, because one friend said after we finished that prayer he said, where are we without prayer?

R. That is correct so what should we do?

S. Truthfully I'm asking when we bump into the wall and we feel that we can't move, what is the prayer before the prayer?

R. Cry out to the Creator until you can cross the wall, to breach the wall, so that it will open. But go to some excerpts, even Baal HaSulam writes, that then he is cautious of using all kinds of verses in the work, in the demand to the Creator. You shouldn't run away to some article. R. A prayer, request, a demand to the Creator,  to break the wall between us and the friends. It is very very difficult, even to ask, we always forget and jump to all kinds of other actions.

43. S. (01:55:52). If we need to bring the Creator our personal prayers from the heart itself and according to what you are saying, everyone has to present his personal prayer, so why do we need to even read the excerpts of those who came before us?

R. This is in order to see when my actions have reached the actions of my ancestors. If you're asking I want to pray just like King David in his Psalms, I want to reach such an address to the Creator. Do you oppose that? 

S. No.

47. S. (02:05:51) What is correct to ask, for the deficiency to bestow or the ability to bestow?

R. It depends what state you are in. If you don't have a desire to bestow, what will you bestow? Meaning a deficiency for a deficiency that is the first thing we ask for.

S. Sometimes we say it's better to ask for the final state?

R. That is also true, it depends what states we are in.

S. So when we scrutinize our prayer what should we scrutinize: our deficiency to bestow because we don't want it and we want to want it or do we ask for the ability to bestow as if we have the deficiency?

R. You can go over the whole spectrum of deficiencies from the final to the beginning, you can start from the final deficiency to the end of connection, the end of correction and what we are lacking and then go down into your current state.

48. S. (02:07:21). In the text it’s said man must feel pain that he doesn't have the deficiency to bestow. Should that pain be that he sees the friends have it and he doesn't?

R. That is also good, it depends what states he's going through it could be that he's thanking the Creator so that if he doesn't have it the friends have it and he's with them like a baby in the hands of the adult and this is how he advances. There are lots of possibilities here, but be constantly in conversation, a plea to the group and the Creator and in this way to advance.

49. S. (02:08:30). According to Excerpt 5, what is the exact calculation that we have to do in order to not go around and around?

R. The right soul-searching and calculations or am I connected to the ten, because if I am not in the ten I'm not aimed to the purpose of creation. It could be that I know or understand what is written with all kinds of excerpts and maybe I am successful in all kinds of things, maybe I give good nice lessons, but if I am not connected to the ten, I don't have any step ahead towards the general unity and connection towards the purpose of creation.

50. S. (02:11:10) In the excerpt they are talking about the deficiency for bestowal. Why don't they say directly that bestowal is through connection?

R. It is clear to us that from the shattered vessel, each of us is the shattered vessel and there can't be any giving, nothing good can come out of each one of us, only if we connect between us, that we tried to connect and ask for the light that reforms, then the light that reforms comes performing a connection between us and from the connection that we attain in bestowing one to the other, we can establish a connection between us, between us and the group to the Creator. It can't be that it is a connection to the Creator, bestowing to the Creator more than we are connected between us in the ten. That determines this and is why I constantly speak about this. You can't, you need to reach bestowal and then they explain to you in many excerpts what it means to reach bestowal. First, to connect to the friends, to support one another, to feel the connection by the mutual support, to demand this connection from above, from the Creator, to start connecting to Him through the ten, because less than this cannot be and then when you already have the force of connection you can bestow to the Creator. 

These things all need to exist together, if you are lacking something from this it won't exist, you can't bestow to the Creator if you're not bestowing through the friends, you can't feel the Creator if you don't feel connection between the friends. It is the foundation, the beginning of the spiritual feeling in which you try to connect to the friends even though you feel the rejection from them, so you have coarseness that you reject each other and above that you try to be in refinement and connection and this is how it works. We need to understand that everything we read about is in such a way between us in the ten, we prepare our connection to the Creator and only through what we attain between us can we approach the Creator to connect to Him. Even the deficiency for the Creator to connect to Him, where do you get the deficiency from? Egoistic yes, I understand all kinds of reasons but the true ones? Only after I try to connect to the friends, otherwise it won't be a true spiritual deficiency.

51. S. (02:15:11). What is pain from the inability to bestow?

R. When I look at the friends connected between them and they have some mutual closeness, they understand, they are connecting between them they are friends, and I feel that I myself can't be between them, that I am always alone, on the side and I am actually not really lacking it, that I forget I lack the connection between them. That is a deficiency that is revealed and I need to do something about it. This is what I have to correct and this is why envy and friends that are somehow connected and I’m not, that is the beginning of my spiritual ascent. I have to turn to the Creator and ask Him to correct me.

52. S. (02:16:27). You said we needed to pray for a deficiency that is not a deficiency?

R. We're asking for love even though we don't have a deficiency for it, this is called a deficiency without a deficiency, we are asking the Creator to shine on us in such a way, in a higher light above our degree that we can feel that we are lacking a desire to connect, then we will work towards that deficiency. Give me a deficiency. Like somebody ill who doesn't have an appetite, maybe we try to give something to make him want to eat, otherwise he can't heal and get healthy, we need lights that awaken the deficiencies.

53. S. (02:17:42) How can we try to aim our prayer to the friends and the Creator?

R. Aim towards the connection and then the direction will be correct.

54. S. (02:18:15) Is there a difference from my appeal for the direction of the ten or the address of the ten and so are these two different things?

R. The ten addressing is the prayer of the many, this is the Minyan, a ten,  

if they are connected between them and between them to the Creator, but each and every one also has to be in a private prayer, to be connected with the ten, but except for the connection in the ten that we're asking, that we are praying that every ten will be in connection and I also will be connected there supporting it. Except for that all of the other pleas are not really accepted above. That is a prayer that is aimed towards the general process of connection.

Look how Rabash explains it so simple and so clear that we want to reveal the Creator above our reason, the force of bestowal not the force of reception and then everything will work out and he starts with the most important, a prayer that one must pray to the Creator to help him go above reason. 57. S. (02:24:34). We want to ask you for support. We have a friend in our ten who is sick in a difficult situation, in intensive care.

R. We will ask for him and for all of those who are in different kinds of states God forbid, that they are sick and have problems, that everything before our congress will work out and that we will see everybody healthy and connected to us, to this one Kli that we are putting together. Thank you for letting us know about it.

58. S. (02:25:50) Can you decide in the ten that we're entering an attack on this topic of prayer, specifically before the convention?

R. Yes, we need to enter an attack before the congress and to attack the prayer. Yes, a demand to the Creator to formulate us, to help us to connect us, a plea to the Creator from all of us and each one.

S. Do we need to devote our daily schedules to give special times to engage in this in an active way?

R. Yes, not a lot of time but it has to be, and everyone when they could be in it needs to be in it, as it is written, ‘I wish everyone would pray all day.’ That every ten would establish themselves in a form they are praying, searching for words between them, to speak between you and open your heart's a bit more.

S. There are many teams preparing for the convention should we take this also to them?

R. Of course, you through these studies have to see how you are organizing, how you are implementing what you are learning. It is not about us, it is about you and all your success in advancement depends on.

59. S. (02:27:48) We have a phenomenon in our ten, every Thursday half of the ten is in the lesson which we see as a result of our gathering, yet the next day everything crumbles. How do you hold onto the prayer properly?

R. It’s interesting that gathering on Wednesday for prayer and half of the group the next day is kicking it away, like divorcing the others. I don't understand it. It is a sign that your connection before that lesson wasn't good, how can it be that it works in such a way? I understand you are more tired, but that you along with that can really just fly all over the place from one another. You are lacking connection. Why don't you speak about it in the Yeshivat Haverim itself?

S. Raising the importance for this each time anew, as it's already been several months this has been happening.

R. So it's a sign you're just talking and I guess the Yeshivat Haverim is just external and not internal, it doesn't really touch the hearts. You need to do something about it, talk about it and reach a point that is painful for everybody. Why is it happening to us like this, why the next day we forget and don't take it into account that we're only working according to our feelings like children. Not according to understanding the state, not according to importance. Speak about it.

60. S. (02:30:22) Why do we need to pray from the connection between us to acquire faith above reason?

R. That is a question I didn't think we would hear, why do we need to pray through the connection between us, to attain faith above reason. What is faith above reason? It is the connection between us upon the force of separation between us. How could it be from which other state could we pray? Explain it. How and when can we ask for a connection unless I really discover as much as we are lacking the connection between us? We need to establish the force of connection upon the force of separation, that is already the force of bestowal that exists upon the force of receiving or faith above reason. That is something we have to think about. I guess the concept itself of faith above reason or what spirituality is, isn't so understood to us as we are constantly expecting to attain spirituality in our vessels of reception and we don't understand that we have to establish vessels of bestowal. Otherwise, how can we attain spirituality? Only according to the law of equivalence of form, which comes before all. If we want to attain, to feel the Creator we have to be somewhat like Him, that measure I will reveal Him that the world is full of His glory, that quality, the quality of bestowal. How do I reveal that quality of bestowal if I'm not in bestowal? That is why all of our prayers are to attain the force of bestowal according to the efforts between us and to make more and more efforts.

61. S. (02:33:15). How to understand there is no light without a vessel, but you feel that there's confusion when we advance in connection with the Creator giving more coarseness, how can we arrange that confusion?

R. It is not confusion, we need a greater Aviut for us to have a greater need to raise above the Aviut, coarseness as much as greater desires to receive will be revealed in us, we will see how they control us and from that we will want to rise above them, we only need to keep working on it.
