This is something that we don’t understand from our world, because here, the more children grow, the more they detach from the parents. In the spiritual world it’s the opposite; the more they grow, the more they cling. The connection becomes stronger.
Here there is a mutual goal between the Creator and the creature. They both want to fulfill each other. Each one wants the other to understand how they each appreciate what they receive from the other; they find love in receiving from the other.
What does it mean to give contentment to your Maker? Otherwise, I cannot understand Him, I cannot feel Him. He bestows upon me right now, but I don’t see that. He fulfills me with Ein Sof (Infinity). Where is it? I don’t feel it. I have a lack of the vessels in which to see His attitude, His relation, all that I receive from Him. That is called ‘my correction.’ We don’t realize that everything depends on our vessels. Just discover your vessels. We are in Infinity, so our work is correcting ourselves.
The most important thing is how to thank Him, how to show Him, how to give Him a sign so that He understands that I feel His giving. That is called ‘bestowing contentment upon your maker’; receiving His gifts, but in order to bestow upon Him. Why did He make that condition? Because it allows us to know His status, to attain that degree on our own.
