Question (Petah Tikva Center): (00:13) Based on what do you determine that you want the next degree if you don't know it? 

M. Laitman: Based on what do we decide about the next degree if we don't know it? All in all, we need to understand that in the entire process that we study from above downwards, from below upwards, and in general everything. If we ask about something, we have to go back to Ein Sof, because there it was decided, and from there everything is done. The state that was in Ein Sof is called the first state, the state of the expansion, the cascading, and returning to Ein Sof, this is called, the second state. And returning to Ein Sof following this entire process is called the third state. 

From the side of nature, when the light builds the vessel and bestows to the vessel, influences it and leads the vessel through the entire process and brings it to the end goal, the light has to provide the vessel with all the required elements, all the data. And there is nothing that it doesn't provide, but rather what remains for the vessel. After the light provides the vessel with all the data, what remains in the vessel is some sort of element that with respect to the vessel is called a choice or a decision. And we see that this decision originates in Ein Sof, the light that created the vessel through the four phases of direct light, as the will to receive; also gave already in phase two, after it created the will to receive in its raw form. Already placed inside this raw form immediately the feeling of Himself, the feeling of the Giver.
