A fourth birthday celebration was held for a child with special needs in the neighborhood park, a party with all the wrappings, and which included a hired clown. Invitations were sent to all the children from kindergarten. Just one child attended the party. The family were heartbroken and shared their traumatic experience on social media.
Somebody heard their story and proceeded to arrange a grand birthday party, to which hundreds of people from their neighborhood came with their children, showering the birthday girl with gifts and songs – bringing such joy to the child and her family.
Why does such warmth between people take place so sporadically?
According to Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman, “Sadly, we find ourselves so distant from one another, so opposite. We need to intentionally awaken in us a common foundation. This exists, providing we have the desire to reach a good and correct connection, and only if we want to reach the upper force. We are not talking about religion here—simply the closeness of hearts. We will continue to suffer much more and realize that we have to come to this. If not, it will be forced upon us and there will be no choice in this—we must rise above all of our differences, bestow, connect, and “love another as yourself,” which is the law of our existence. By this, we will start soaring ever higher.”
