Part 2: There's None Else Besides Him.

M. Laitman: OK, so we are here, pretty far from our center. What are we, 16 men, that are all here in one small room in the hotel room. And we are truly longing to feel how connected we are, nevertheless. Let's hope that we will feel so. And we will continue in There's None Else Besides Him. We have spoken about this being the essential, main concept that we have in the wisdom of Kabbalah, in the perception of the Creator, in general in Judaism. We also discovered that that's how it is in all the religions and faiths that Abraham took on and divided them and gave them out to the nations. As he sent them out to the land of Kedem, these gifts. And altogether, these gifts have the same approach. The question is just that every nation begot throughout the time signs of its own, a certain approach of its own, conditions of their own pertaining to that concept. But actually, at the end of it all, at the end of generations, what is revealed is that There's None Else Besides Him - is that same concept that is before a person. That's a question mark. And in his searches in life, in everything that he does, rising from that degree of being an animal in food, family and sex, and all the rest, he works only in order to attain that upper force - There's None Else Besides Him, which awakens him to all these searches and stands and expects a person to discover it. And all our searches are not just like that. God forbid, it's not incidental. We need to understand that specifically in such a manner as all our efforts - that we want to fly to the moon, and to the space, and we want to go deep into the sea. And we're getting confused with our lives, doing so many things, that actually, what's going on there with them? What need is there for those things? We need to see that there is a need for everything because altogether what we're doing is evoking the uniqueness of the Creator in reality. This is why the difference, like Baal HaSulam asks, what's the difference between a servant of the Creator and one who is not serving Him? It's in the attaining of that one root that we want to adhere to. And what's especially so here, which to adhere to that root can be done only under the condition that we're using what we call “the help against him”, and the egoistic will to receive that seemingly bothers us and stands between us and the Creator on purpose. It was created so, and it is the loyal servant and an angel, and we can relate to all these disturbances in any matter-of-fact way, as these are the things that conceal the Creator from us. So we slowly, slowly discover that altogether we have one direction, one goal, one action. And certainly, there are definitely different kinds of manners of using it, but this sorts a person. But along the way there's another great help that a person doesn't have a direct access to the Creator, only by nullifying his Kli, canceling his Kli, his will to receive. Otherwise, he cannot feel Him, and locate Him, and agree or recognize Him, or get to know Him. You can only recognize the Creator, get to know Him according to equivalence of form. Equivalence of form is all my search. How can this be? That is why there's a thing and it's opposite here - the advantage of light from darkness as I, upon my egoistic desire, which brings me that sensation of darkness and disconnect from the Creator, I am trying to built above it an opposite form - the recognition of the Creator, the form of bestowal upon the reception. And to do that, there was a necessity for the shattering of Adam HaRishon, the mechanism which the Creator created as corrected to start with, but in Katnut [in smallness], and we need to correct it. And then we add our ego, our will to receive, and from that we have confusions and all kinds of difficulties and questions which are revealed as a preparation during the time of the shattering of this system. And then when we arrange it, we participate in it with all our inclinations. And then it turns out that we are seemingly building the Creator from our shattered Kelim, our thoughts, desires, different letters. And when we arrange the connection within us and build the image of the Creator, the picture of the Creator, we actually become like the Creator. And He clothes us in such a way and brings the state of adhesion. That's how we are going to continue today from this collection of excerpts on There's None Else Besides Him.

Reading: (07:30) 7. Baal Hasulam. Shamati 138. Concerning Fear that Sometimes Comes Upon a Person

When fear comes upon a person, he should know that there is none else but Him. And even witchcraft. And if he sees that fear overcomes him, he should say that there is no such thing as chance, but the Creator has given him a chance from above, and he must contemplate and study the end to which he has been sent this fear. It appears that it is so that he will overcome and say, “There is none else besides Him.” But if after all this, the fear has not departed him, he should take it as an example and say that his servitude of the Creator should be in the same measure of the fear, meaning that the fear of heaven, which is a merit, should be in the same manner of fear that he now has. That is, the body is impressed by this superficial fear, and exactly in the same way that the body is impressed, so should be the fear of heaven.

M. Laitman: If a person truly yearns to reveal the Creator, and in accordance with his efforts and all the past that he has done and engaged a lot in this, if he advances to the revelation of the Creator, then accordingly he receives rejection, disturbances, confusions. He is in many thoughts, contemplations that truly shake up his mind, his head, and he doesn't know how to arrange these things, as each time he's getting rejection in all kinds of directions. Not just that he's being rejected somewhat, that he was rejected. The rejection that comes, comes through the replacement of the thought, the replacing of a matter in life. All of a sudden he wants that, all of a sudden this is being revealed. And these revelations that arrive, these disturbances, conceal the Creator which he wants to reveal so badly, and each time he needs to return to this state that it all comes from the Creator. So it turns out that the disturbance comes in order for him to hold on to the Creator even more meticulously and relentlessly, and hold on to all those states that are coming to him to disconnect him, to see that they're truly pulling him from the Creator, wanting to tear the connection between them. Then he needs to try this way to constantly renew the connection and be adhered to the Creator. In what? In the fact that the whole mind and all the heart, all the thoughts and desires will all be adhered to the Creator such that if something occurs in them, not in the current moment only, but he also prepares himself for the next moment, that it also comes from the Creator. Meaning, constantly our work, both in the state of present and the future state, of what will be, that I want to be adhered to the Creator in heart and soul, in all the cases, in all the states, in all the times. And then I try, as much as possible, to seemingly assure myself that state that I will be adhered in. Of course, I won't be able to be certain that it will happen, and it doesn't happen. That's why a person comes in his searches and efforts to a state that specifically here there needs to be a deed of Arvut, where it's not a person who assures himself the adhesion which is permanent, or future, one that will be each time no matter what comes to a person, but rather that the group that supports. And then from that point he builds the point of adhesion with the Creator. He builds the field, which is the Ten, in those Ten points. And if they are all in one direction, in one search, in the help of one helping another, that's specifically where, from the None Else Besides Him, where each is supporting the other and holding the other to not fall from the recognition of his adhesion to the Creator. At every given moment it turns out that here I recognize how much our system needs to be unified, and all of us connected to one another, and all of us supporting one another. And from that comes the concept of Arvut, where I feel a need for this, meaning that Arvut becomes, it's not that I'm being helped and I receive something that I am attaining, but rather Arvut is the system itself, which comes, which I build and there I attain the adhesion to the Creator. And in that adhesion, together with the adhesion of each and every one of us, we reach one adhesion which is already HaVaYaH, that is there in the attainment of the Creator. By that we build our vessel of reception, which is common. Therefore, when a person gets a disturbance, he needs to understand that it's not to do him bad, but it's all to push him towards more and more, greater and greater connection with his Ten, in order to build HaVaYaH in an even more corrected way. And the Creator simply wants to be revealed in the creature more and more. And every group is called a creature, a unit, a unity that is unified. And that's how we need to relate to this. Therefore, what is he telling us here? When fear comes upon a person, and this is really as fear, as trepidation, an inner anxiety, and it comes from all kinds of cases that are clothed in this world - either all kinds of slanders come upon a person, more internal ones, more external ones - it doesn't matter. We don't know exactly why such or such specifically are rising right now. Later, we will know that when we locate the general system more, so when a person gets that state of fear, he needs to know that There's None Else Besides Him. For it's written so, that against each and every fear, that There's None Else Besides Him, meaning that it certainly comes from the Creator, and there's no question here. He shouldn't think that there's some other factor, other than the Creator, which rules the world completely, but that is playing with that egotistical desire of a person in order to shake him up and awaken him to connection, to correction. And if he sees that the fear overcomes him, and he can't even move it away from himself, and that's nice and good, because it turns out that he's not using this fear correctly, in this anxiety, that he wants to get rid of it, and therefore it doesn't leave him. But if he wants to overcome, not for the direction of the fear will leave, but he wants the fear to remain, because probably the Creator sent him something he needs, in order to be more adhered to the Creator. And then he doesn't ask for the fear to leave him. He doesn't ask for the fear to move from his world, but rather for it to continue to …He simply doesn't work against it, he works in strengthening himself above the fear. And the fear once again can awaken, to an even higher degree, and again, he awakens and rises above the fear. And this can be a very small fear, for some small success in life. Or, really many slanderers rise upon him, both corporeal ones, and later we will also see such spiritual slanderers. When we reach that, we will reach everything. And if he sees that the fear overcomes him, and doesn't leave, then he needs to say that there isn't, God forbid, any kind of incident here, but rather the Creator gave him an opportunity from heaven. What does this mean? To truly say that there is none else besides Him. And it truly comes from above, as a new degree of fear, and he can't overcome. This completely holds on to him. It's truly all my bones shall say so. He is fully in fear, and this is a sign of a new degree, a new state. And then, as it's written, he needs to stand up and say, for what purpose was this fear sent to him? For what purpose, meaning, so that he will be able to overcome and say that There's None Else Besides Him. That this fear overcomes only in order to shake up a person and show him how, even with his whole ego, he's very weak and he can't overcome anything. That the upper force maintains his fear, his will to receive, and fills him with fears, anxieties, with a lack of light, we should say. And then, it is certain that he comes to it, to There's None Else Besides Him. Meaning, here we also need to explain this matter, and not just for ourselves, but for the beginners that don't know where it comes from. It rejects them outwards. They're not yet so understanding of what's going on. We need to strengthen them. But mostly, it's through the way they speak in the Ten. So altogether, all the disturbances that come, come so that a person will define that There's None Else Besides Him. Decide that as this fear and such thoughts, such disturbances, specifically come directly from the Creator, especially when these are fatal ones, the true important ones, then the Creator, in a great way, is advancing a person to Him. And even after all those efforts that a person does and wants to overcome, still the fear has not departed him. This is a sign that really the Creator is advancing him more and more, more internally, more to overcome not the fear, but towards his attitude to the Creator. We need to be careful not to destroy the bad feelings, not to erase them, all the bad phenomena, but rather to build them as the left line and above them, build the right line. As love will cover all transgressions, if there will be no transgressions, there will be no love. If the transgressions will disappear, so will the love. In such a way, in the two lines and in the middle line that's between them, we need to work. Therefore, all of our overcoming is in a blessing. As by this we attain, There's None Else Besides Him, even more and greater. And even after all those efforts, the fear and scare doesn't go away. Then he needs to take an example from this, and to say that to the same measure of the fear, meaning that the fear of heaven, there needs to be a manner of the servitude of the Creator, meaning that according to that same fear, there needs to be…It's revealed in such a way that he at least, in overcoming it, will cover it somehow. And if he can't cover it, then that sets an example to him of how much he's still not in,There's None Else Besides Him, according to his degree. Therefore, the fears that comes to a person are a great help from above, and accordingly, we can see how a person advances. What else can we add? First of all, the work in the group. As Kabbalists usually don't interpret it, except for Rabash, almost no one wrote about it in a clear manner. Only here and there, all kinds of, as we learn in the Zohar, we take things, from Ramhal we receive things, but first of all, to overcome the fears and fears of heaven together, where we all convene together to deal with all these disturbances that are coming to each of us, to each of the friends, because the problem of one is a general problem. It needs to be that way. That's how the Creator arranges things for us, so that specifically by this, we will then connect and build the Kli, the special Kli. This is on one hand, and on the other hand, as we build the HaVaYaH. Then in the HaVaYaH, we begin, in the connection between us, to feel the general fear, the inclusive fear and the greatness of the Creator, who sends it to us. And His love, by Him sending to us all these problems, and obligates us accordingly to grow, and thus, this is how we grow, overcome, and constantly grow Him, make Him greater, upon, above all the disturbances. Meaning, a servant of the Creator needs to understand that the process that we're doing here, our whole move is only above the problem, which each time overcomes and establishes itself in a new way. And certainly, it will be greater, as much as the person feels it more. This is a sign that is truly being given a greater opportunity to decide that there is nothing else besides Him. Questions?

M. Laitman: Then I'll ask. What do we have before us? If you don't feel that you have questions, then what is the problem that stands before us that we truly should be in fear from? Fear, meaning that I feel that this problem stands and is about to disconnect me and my Ten from the sensation of the Creator, from the definition of the Creator. What is the problem, what is the fear that needs to be felt in us? Maybe, we're still under the characteristic of a beast that doesn't feel this fear, but what is growing in our Ten that's the problem that we need to be in fear from? And then to decide that it comes from the Creator, and then to decide that There's None Else Besides Him, that we're grasping Him, holding on to Him, all of us together, more than the problem itself. Just as a great person who wants to keep a child, a young, wacky child, who wants to … And he says, no, no, don't do this and don't do that, and then the child holds on to him and doesn't run away. So, the Creator, by this help against him, advances us towards Him. How can we depict this state in the Ten? Please, very quickly, locate such a problem of this fear and how we overcome in There's None Else Besides Him, so that this fear will be as the lift, the reason to rise to the top.

M. Laitman: How can we, by ourselves, create a fear of what exactly, together? So it's like an old man who is bending down and searching, and then he advances in on his pace, not waiting until fear comes to him from above, from the Creator. This is one thing. That's for the first question. The second question that is really suitable here is that we search for these disturbances. When we do it, we should also know that by our searching, by our effort, we actually raise Man. And we awaken the Creator to send us these problems earlier, because all the problems that you get are through the amplification of the reforming light. So by that, we're actually hastening time. So how do we, in the Ten, not wait for problems and troubles to come to each one of us, but rather, we awaken them. And then we get them in a different way, apparently. What does it mean, in a different way? They will come, and they will come from the same broken Kli that is revealed more in its shattering, but they will come on the condition that There’s None Else Besides Him, that we seemingly make a preparation for it. We as if put some soft bedding, so that it can fall on it and it won't break. Let's say, it's a new glass vessel. So how do we do that in the Ten? Actually, I answered it already, that it's by overcoming in There’s None Else Besides Him. But how can we overcome and grow stronger in There’s None Else Besides Him if we don't get problems? So on top of what will I overcome with There’s None Else Besides Him? And here, I'll give you the answer also, and you'll talk about it. The answer is the following, that if each and every one wants to add to the others, and this is why there was a necessity to break the Kli, so each one can add to the others his degree of necessity for There’s None Else Besides Him, from his aspect, from his side. This is how we can reveal in the gap between us, in the gap between us in the Ten, where each one is different than the others, we can discover seemingly that salvation that the Creator would have brought us in an external manner, in an external form, external fear. So by us discovering the shattering again and again between us, on top of that, we can already discover and determine There’s None Else Besides Him, and this way advance. So please talk about it.

Question (Moscow): (46:00) On one hand there's fear, and on the other hand there is trepidation or fear of the Creator. What do we need to awaken in the Ten here, and what do we need to distance from in the Ten, eventually?

M. Laitman: These are profound things, but for the time being, with respect to us, I would say the following: either it's, if it's difficult for a person, he should not divide it into fear versus spiritual fear. Fear belongs to the Creator. Can I hold Him as There's None Else Besides Him? And corporeal fear has to do with the incident itself that awakens in me an animalistic or human fear, and I'm afraid of it. This is why here it has to be as follows: inside my sensation, there should be fear, and on top of that I need to be in spiritual fear. That I realize that without the animalistic fear all my bones shall tell, truly, I also want to feel spiritual fear of holding on to There's None Else Besides Him, because in the end they all seem as beasts, and everyone comes from the degree of the beast, the animal level. Everything comes from the still, as it is written. This is why we only have to have the right order always - two levels, two degrees. Later on we will study more about it. That fear, it's the beast who is afraid that it might be bitten, that it might be harmed in some way. And Ira [spiritual fear], it's with respect to the Creator, that I might forget about Him and fall again into the degree of corporeal fear, or that I will disconnect from There's None Else Besides Him. And it's not because I will fall to the degree of corporeal fear and corporeal problems and troubles, but rather because by that, when I disconnect from Him, I don't give Him any contentment, and I actually even disregard Him as the source of the whole of reality. This is why, well, at least like that, for the time being, there are many things in it. You realize that now we are touching the main point of our existence. That here we can already see how the Ten specifically is arranged with specifically the Creator by a certain incident so that the relation between them is from the group - to the Creator, and from the Creator - to the group, can change from minus to plus, and from plus to minus, until from all of these relations of the group and the Creator we start to feel the median, the average state, the middle line in which we, to begin with, include both the right and the left. And this is how we advance, and this is actually the goal in our main line of development for us to reach the building of the middle line, the detection of the midline, its construction and so that we always follow it. This is truly the stuff, the stuff of Aaron. So, let's read next, if there are no more questions.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (50:12) So, it turns out, according to what you answered a friend, that beastly fear is a trigger of the Creator to help a person to awaken in him fear.

M. Laitman: Of course, why else would he create it? Like all other incidents in the world, all of them in the end either directly or indirectly, in an alternative way, they're all aimed towards the determination of There's None Else Besides Him in man's life. The Creator has to fill up all of his emotions, all of his heart and mind, the Creator has to fill it up and not anything else or anyone else. This is the goal of our development, for us to reach that. This is considered that the Kli is filled up, and we will see later how we can do a Tzimtzum [restriction] here, and Masach [screen], and Hakaa [striking], and Zivug [coupling], here everything has to take place.

Student: The question is whether we as a Ten need to precede the Creator in that and create some kind of beastly fear within the Ten so that we will actually be able to develop upon it and not wait for the Creator to operate that?

M. Laitman: No, not beastly fear, but only spiritual fear that we might disconnect from There's None Else Besides Him. God forbid, engage in corporeal fear. This is something that is imaginary, it's a lie, and it's not good. It's not good. That is, it means that there is someone else besides Him, that it's not the Creator who is doing it, but maybe there's another source, even without a name, who is managing all of my life, and we must not engage in that.

Student: That wasn't the meaning, but I just want to say that spiritual fear is imaginary. It doesn't scare me that I'm not adhered to There's None Else Besides Him, because I wish it would be scaring me. I need something to trigger to get there.

M. Laitman: No, no, so search for… Don't search for indirect ways. You're always going in this roundabout way. What for? I need to persuade myself that it all comes from the Creator, and directly, on top of each and every disturbance, I need to persuade myself that this only comes from the Creator. And by this persuasion, more and more, and especially it has to be in the group, this is what we need to engage in and not in anything imaginary, I come to a state where I will run, fully being occupied with this. I will chase this concept of There's None Else Besides Him. I'm waiting each and every moment. What else can I crown this concept on? So it will ride all kinds of things. Where else? It's like an old man who is searching which other disturbance, which other problem in my life can I determine that this is only coming from the Creator?

Student: When I have some disturbance, I see that all my senses open up. I hear the Rav, I hear the friends, I manage and...

M. Laitman: Very good. And here, from within, you need to be ready to determine that it comes from the Creator.

Student: Okay, we need to understand, we can understand that, but when there's no disturbances, when the state is static, what can we actually do in the Ten that will shake us up and move us to remember There's None Else Besides Him, to create something that's above which we will be able to adhere?

M. Laitman: You don't have problems?

Student: Not such that upon them your senses are open or whatever.

M. Laitman: So are you at the end of correction?

Student: And maybe not sensitive, how do you develop such a sensitivity to develop such problems that will bother us in the Ten?

M. Laitman: I don't know, is the Creator between you? Dwelling between you?

Student: I don't know how to answer such a question.

M. Laitman: If not, what else can we talk about? So, it's not important for you. Well, if it's not important, you can just scatter...

Student: So that's the question, it's not important. When there's a disturbance, it's important. So how do we create something that will make it important?

M. Laitman: Well, you have to relate to it because the disturbance is important, not because There's None Else Besides Him that's important. So you draw Him only if you need Him, and if you don't need Him, then you send Him to all directions.

Student: That's exactly the question.

M. Laitman: Okay, so what is the Ten for?

Student: So that's exactly the question.

M. Laitman: If you don't help each other, I mean, what will the Ten, the work in the Ten be about? What will the Ten do? This is the whole matter of... What does it mean, the shattering of the vessels, of the Kelim, that the concept of There's None Else Besides Him has to be revealed... ...in a visible, apparent manner. And this is what is revealed through the shattering of the vessels. That Malchut cannot have a grip on all of the revelations that it has before it in these first Sefirot, and this is why it breaks. And it falls from the spiritual degree down to the corporeal level. I think that you simply have to think about it more. You are continuing to be on some superficial level. That this is simply how things keep on going, and time will come, and we will reach success. That is incorrect.

Student: He doesn't even scare us. I want to ask, how do you stop this superficiality? How do we move, and shake us up, and so we'll start...

M. Laitman: By acting. Next to you sits this actor. I see him. He no longer looks like an actor, he looks like some kind of a spiritual Indian man. So we have to act. I see that people are very much impressed by acting. If someone acts, and for him this is just a way to make an income or something, but someone else cries because of it, or he laughs, so start doing that. In any way that you can influence each other. I have nothing else to say. Just realize that the collection of means that I have is very limited.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (57:56) What is the true attitude when you see that a friend is filled with some kind of fear? What's the correct attitude when you see a friend that's being filled with some kind of fear, which overcomes him?

M. Laitman: To hint to him, and it's best to do it by example, that there is none else besides Him. To hint to him that only in this direction there is a solution for all of the incidents in our life.

Student: What should we do from within, and what should we do on the outside? What does it imply? To say There's None Else Besides Him, to remind him?

M. Laitman: In which way to do it? I don't know. So that he will see that again, I'm reading that same article or hearing an excerpt from the present lesson. To talk directly about it, that is not so good. Because he might take it in a way that he will feel uncomfortable or not nice, and his ego won't allow him that. I don't know. We need to see that according to the specific case.

Student: And what from the within? What kind of attitude should they be from within? How should I incorporate with him and...

M. Laitman: Okay, from within, it's like you are trying to mingle with a loved person And you want to share with him and take upon yourself his heaviness and work with his burden which is influencing him. And also remind him that “You did not call me, oh Jacob”, meaning that if you relate to the Creator, then already this luggage, this suitcase is not heavy anymore. And you can tell him that. That if he's under some burden, some problem then this problem can be a lot lighter if he will tie it to the source. Let's not forget this example with the carrier who's lifting the rabbi's suitcase.

Student: The question is how do you incorporate with him? I can tell you that's usually when I see someone who's in a very emotional state I usually go to the other place. I try in an intellectual way to explain to myself how it is, how he is, and then try to pray and want for him to see that the state is not the way he sees it. But the question is very internal. Do you enter… What is it to take? You said take upon yourself a part of his burden. How do you do such a thing?

M. Laitman: It's by an inner prayer. We're all interconnected and the shattering only appears to our eyes, so by an inner prayer you can facilitate it. And In the Ten, even if they don't talk to this friend, they can greatly facilitate his burden. Suddenly, he'll start feeling different emotions, a different activation from above. That's how it's going to be.

Student: Can we talk in a disclosed manner with the friends? Let's help him now and pray for X.

M. Laitman: Yes, if his problem is so open, so obvious, then yes, you can speak to them quietly about it. It's permissible. The more you will behave as one body, the more you will be successful.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:02:10) It’s for several days already that you are giving us the Torah of There's None Else Besides Him, and if we come out of the conclusion of the … Let’s take a specific Ten that really listens to what you are trying to teach us and succeeds in implementing of what you are talking about. That Ten, they attribute everything to the Creator, every disturbance they attribute to the Creator, they live it and breathe. How do they advance to the Creator together this way?

M. Laitman: Together, if you take any disturbance, all the disturbances come from the Creator, all the problems come from the Creator, so that we will Connect all of our necessities for There's None Else Besides Him and ascribe it to Him, so that we can determine His uniqueness, that indeed There's None Else Besides Him, together, with one inclination. And this will connect us, we connect in that, not in anything else. The fact that we want to determine that There's None Else Besides Him - these disturbances or even lack of disturbances - this connects us.

Student: That's my question, yes, together, of course, as one bundle. We're doing it, but to what state what degree does it advance the Ten to the extent in which they do manage to do what you're saying.

M. Laitman: That the way we're connecting now is we're connecting thanks to the Creator, who has shown us how much He made us disconnected from each other, so that through the relations between us now that are broken, when He awakens us towards connection, out of this shattering and connection He will be revealed. And we're doing it in order to make Him happy. All of our work, all of the Torah is about that.

Question (Holland): (01:04:37) When we just now did the workshop, this fear awakened that we would not have a deficiency for connection, for spirituality, that we would be like dead in the water. This fear, when we connect to this fear it's almost like a stick. Is this what we want to keep? Is this what aims us towards “awakening the dog”?

M. Laitman: When we don't get any fear, any problem, any disturbance on the path, then we have a problem, since we have no problems. And this can truly prolong the path and make it many years. And we, seemingly, enter a slumber. Unless we can be with a deficiency without a deficiency, there is such a concept, we learned about it, we read about it several times, but still this concept seems to be somewhere out there waiting. We need to awaken it, to concern for how come we're not lacking it, and cry out and pray for something that we're not lacking. How? Artificially, it shall help his friend. This is the whole matter of prayers in the public, asking in the public, that by that we awaken it. I see that the whole of humanity is impressed by, let's say, movie theater, movies or some clip, what's going on. Simply we generate certain situations so that people like to be in that movie. This is how it is. I was watching a few TV channels here, in my room, in the hotel in Mumbai, and I saw that all of the movies are - either they're crying because of lack of love, or they're happy and they're dancing because of a surplus of love. That's all they have here. And besides that, there is nothing. I wanted to watch something - news from the world, something serious. There is nothing in all of the channels. It's a wonder. Now, 20 people are sitting with me, and it's truly because this is, I guess, what the people want, and maybe also it's worthwhile for the government for it to be this way. I don't know. So everything depends on how we establish our life. I think that the situation is very sleepy, dormant right now. You may be ashamed, or maybe you have some calculations about should we awaken the others or not, what will I look like, and all kinds of other calculations. They're not useful for our matter. I don't know what to say about it. I don't know what to do about it. I do whatever possible. Nevertheless, what we're studying right now, There's None Else Besides Him. I think that we're studying it more deeply, more concretely for our lives. Let us try to actualize it. Okay, let's continue.

“All the illnesses that I had placed on Egypt, I will not place on you, for I the Lord am your healer” (Exodus 15:26).Our sages ask, “If I do not place the illness, what is the need for a healer?” (Sanhedrin 101a).We should interpret that since I am the healer, why should I place on you an illness if I must heal the illness? What do I gain by placing an illness? It must be as a punishment, and if I must heal the illness, what kind of punishment is it? It is as though I work for nothing.For this reason, I will not place illness upon you, and what you think is illness, you are wrong about it. Rather, all the states you feel, if you attribute them to Me, are all corrections by which you will approach Me in Dvekut [adhesion].

M. Laitman: We need both the ascents and the descents. Yes, we cannot recognize a degree if it is not made up of - and there shall be evening, and there shall be morning - one day, and certainly, the sensation of that ailment of the disease we need to have, because the illness, that is the feeling of the shattering, that we need to feel in such a way, that state, and also to feel that the Creator prepared it for us, and first of all, it was defined from their selves, besides Him, that it comes that way, and also for us to turn to Him, and not to someone else. But for Him to help us come out of this illness, and that He is the doctor of all the sick, He is the healer, and this is how we define that There's None Else Besides Him, both in bad and in good, as they both become a whole degree each time, and build our Ten in a way that they can incorporate in one another more. The mold of the Ten is defined already in the first spiritual degree, but after that, the incorporation, the Hitkalilut, which each time increases more and more, rises more and more, brings us the recognition of the Creator who is revealed in the Creator. The degree of Hitkalilut between us, as in each and every degree there is a multiplication, as each divides into Ten, on the first degree, we attain the Ten. Against the second degree, we discover that we are not in the Ten already, they seemingly all shatter, darkness comes, night, but the darkness of the night is already from the Ten that we attained, it's already entrance into the next degree, the deficiency for the next degree, that we now want to attain connection from the darkness, as this darkness comes from the form of the Ten that we attained before, and then we have the attainment of the connection already on the second degree, as both the attainment of the previous degree and its shattering now comes to its correction. And that's how we constantly come - left, right, left, right, in such matters, and advance that way. Meaning, the Creator certainly awakens both the darkness and the light, and we need to attribute everything to Him, as everything is corrections, and through those corrections, we each time attain increasing adhesion.
