Part 1: Baal HaSulam. Introduction to The Study of the Ten Sefirot. #65.

Reader: Hello, we are reading the Introduction to the Study of the Ten Sefirot of Baal HaSulam. We're going to continue today from item 65 in the Hebrew writings of Baal HaSulam, it is on page 785. But we have yet to understand why the third discernment is not enough for a person, namely attainment of a guidance of reward and punishment. We said that he has already been rewarded with He who knows the mysteries testifying that he will not sin again. Hence, why is he still called “medium” or “incomplete righteous,” whose name proves that his work is still not desirable in the eyes of the Creator, and there is still a flaw and blemish in his Torah and work?

Reading: (02:56) Item 66 Twice.

First, let us scrutinize what the interpreters asked about the Mitzva of loving the Creator. How did the Torah oblige us to a Mitzva that we cannot keep at all? One can coerce and enslave oneself to anything, but no coercion or enslavement in the world will help with love.

They explained that by keeping all 612 Mitzvot appropriately, the love of the Creator extends to him by itself. Hence, it is considered possible to keep, since one can enslave and coerce oneself to keep the 612 Mitzvot properly, and then he will also be rewarded with the love of the Creator.

Reader: (05:30) What is the meaning that one can coerce and enslave oneself to anything, but no coercion or enslavement in the world will help with love?

M. Laitman: That by carrying out 613 Mitzvot, he can carry them out, the 612 Mitzvot, and reach a state where only the 613th Mitzvah remains not realized, seemingly. And so, he is told if you carry out the 612 you will be in a state where the 613th Mitzvah will be carried out by creation, itself. From the nature of how the system works, how it's built.

Student: The 612 Mitzvot, the first ones, they do not demand love from a person?

M. Laitman: No, it's not a condition that he must fulfill the commandment of love and then these Mitzvot. The commandment of love is like all the Mitzvot, it needs to be carried out by the created being's desire and that's it.

Student: What is with the 612 Mitzvot if it's not the correction of the heart in love?

M. Laitman: These are the Mitzvot that a person needs to carry out by tying himself to the Creator in all kinds of ways.

Student: So, actions of connecting oneself to the Creator, and that, a person can make oneself to?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: But with love, one cannot force himself to do that.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, the first stage of the 612 Mitzvot, actions that connect me to the Creator, what does it mean to connect myself to the Creator?

M. Laitman: That I'm asking, that I'm expecting, the Creator to give me power to be connected to Him in the conditions of the first Mitzvah, second, third, and so forth.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (09:19) I don't understand the question at all, I understand how it's possible to love a friend, a wife, a kid, but love towards someone is clear. But how can you love the Creator? You can be afraid of Him, you can observe or not observe all kinds of laws. But what does it mean to love the Creator, in general, since He is concealed?

M. Laitman: I can't explain that because love is not explained. Loving means that I'm drawn to connection with Him in all kinds of conditions.

Student: But I don't know Him, so how can I love or not love? I can be afraid of something that they told me about or that I read about, or that they speak about, some kind of law – but loving?

M. Laitman: From seeing how much you belong to Him, connected to Him, fulfilled by Him, then it develops in you an attitude of love.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (11:02) I hope it's on topic: Why do you say that love your friend as yourself is the rule of the Torah, is the collective of the Mitzvot? And not love your Creator being the collective of the Mitzvot?

M. Laitman: Love thy neighbor as thyself is the conclusion, the ending, of all human relationships.

Student: It is 613?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And the result of all the Mitzvot is reaching love your friend as yourself but it's not love your Creator?

M. Laitman: No, love thy Lord is above that.

Student: That's the outcome of the 620?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What are Mitzvot? I'm sorry.

M. Laitman: Mitzvot means the realization of the relationships according to the Creator's will.

Student: How to keep track or how to recognize each detail? How can I only see all the details in that attitude?

M. Laitman: Repeat the question?

Student: How do I know the difference between all the laws, all the details in the correct relationship with the Creator?

M. Laitman: It's that the Creator shines on you and you see the difference in all your relations to Him.

Student: Where should I begin with one Mitzvah?

M. Laitman: In what you have before you.

Student: What is before you? Love your friend as yourself but that's 613.

M. Laitman: No, not the first 613, that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about love thy friend as thyself; you have to approach your friend with love. That you love him more than anything.

Student: A great wise man, Hillel, said that it is the generality of the Mitzvot, that it's the end, to learn the end of the Torah. But how do you begin?

M. Laitman: He sees before him a group and he understands that he has to connect to it. To serve it, to incorporate with it, to tie himself to it, to embrace it and bring it to the peak of connection.

Student: Is that maybe five or six Mitzvot out of what I heard, I am lost? What is the way after about five or six Mitzvot, how is it possible to hold on to the goal through all of these efforts? I don't know where to place the effort, even a little bit. I think about my Ten, I ask for them, I try to be with them in all the actions during the day. Maybe there is six hundred and eight more Mitzvot that I'm lacking or something like that. I don't even know how to speak about it in a precise manner.

M. Laitman: Yes, okay, we'll clarify that more.

Student: Sitting down is probably also a Mitzvah!

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (17:11) Baal HaSulam writes here that one can coerce and enslave oneself to anything but no coercion or enslavement of the world will help with love. Love of friends, is that something that a person can coerce and enslave oneself to?

M. Laitman: No, it's a result from the carrying out of other conditions.

Student: Meaning, love is always a result?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And in order to reach a feeling of love and in a feeling of love to the friend?

M. Laitman: It's in the hands of the Creator.

Student: What's in my strength in order to do that, what comes before love?

M. Laitman: Actions that need to bring you to love of the Creator.

Student: In my view, love of friend and love of the Creator are the same, they are both a result from above.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And external actions toward a friend, everything I can do in actions, in examples, even without an inner feeling. Does that bring me to such inner love?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (18:53) Does the person need to ask the Creator for a desire to love him?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Simply to say give me a desire to love you?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (19:12) I want to take for a moment what the friend began and maybe to develop it: There are 612 Mitzvot that a person can coerce oneself to do, the result of them is something that is called love. Love between who and who – between me and the friend? Is this method of these 612 Mitzvot, is it a method of creating love between two people, in that they are two people? Or is it only Mitzvot or actions that are connected to this matter of spirituality, where in the end you need to reach love which is beyond the bodies?

M. Laitman: Certainly, it's only for spirituality.

Student: If I am now in some relations that are not connected with spirituality and I want to love them, that won't help me. These 612 Mitzvot, if I try to observe them toward them, or maybe they would?

M. Laitman: If it has nothing to do with spirituality, then not.

Student: Okay, what's special about this spiritual love in the group between us? And in relation to just love, what people call love?

M. Laitman: That you want to thereby activate spiritual forces between you.

Student: What does it mean activating spiritual forces between us?

M. Laitman: You want the forces that are upper to the will to receive, which are the will to bestow, you want that to develop in you, between you, and bring you closer.

Student: If my goal is not to reach bestowal then this method won't work?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: Okay, now I want to reach this love of bestowal, of connection between us; now, I don't exactly know what that is because what do I understand about bestowal and the will to receive? So, what should I do when I do those 612 actions before I reach love, I'm still not in love. But I have a goal to reach bestowal, so what do I need to do beyond the actions? Should I do anything else or are these actions enough as they are?

M. Laitman: First of all, you have to scrutinize what are the 613 actions that precede love.

Student: And then we return to what the friend said, I understand maybe five, six, 10 actions that I can do in relation to the friends. Where are the 600 and something else, what do I do with those?

M. Laitman: It's what you want to see, what you want to clarify.

Student: Where do we clarify that? Where is it written, where are those 610 other actions?

M. Laitman: We scrutinize these actions in the group. Everyone engages in how to be connected to each other in all 612 Mitzvot.

Student: We are in a group with friends who are very aimed at the goal. For many years, we're exerting in the group every day, every week. Where do we find those 610 lacking Mitzvot – what are those 610 lacking Mitzvot that I don't even know how to say them with words, what are those?

M. Laitman: It's different kinds of relations between each one and everyone inside the Ten.

Student: What does that mean? What does it mean that there's another, let's just say 610 kinds of relations, where do we find them? In the meals we do, in the lessons that we study, in the articles? Where are the 610 things as you said, kinds of relations? Where do we find those?

M. Laitman: They exist among the friends who truly, really, yearn for coming to a single whole.

Student: What can we do? I'll ask differently: Can we do something between us in order to progress to reveal them, one after another after another? Let's say we're sitting now, we have this weekly meeting of ours. We'll sit together and we'll speak about how we can reach that relationship of 603 between us. Can we do such a thing or does it just become revealed during the work and that's it?

M. Laitman: We don't work that way but we get to that. From the connection where everyone wants to be as one man and one heart, and feel everyone in that heart, then we get to that state.

Student: I just don't understand what else there is in the connection between us that, seemingly, we don't do it because they haven't revealed those 610 other Mitzvot. So, what else is lacking in the connection between us that will help them to at least become revealed?

M. Laitman: What else do we lack? The attitude of each one to be incorporated with everyone else in order to help everyone become one.

Student: What you said now is one, meaning it's one kind of relation, it's not 610. What are the other 610?

M. Laitman: They're included in that.

Student: If I started thinking as you said, that I try to incorporate into everyone as one and try to reach that in which we all become included as one. What will happen to me? What will happen to my attitude to the friend? What will come into the relations between me and the friend where me and my friend and all the Ten all try to do what you said? What will happen then?

M. Laitman: That you will be instead of everyone.

Student: What does it mean that I will be instead of everyone?

M. Laitman: That you will feel, attain, the state where you're in the place of everyone else.

Student: Why do I need to feel that I'm in the place of everyone, that's the goal? That I feel that I'm in the place of everyone?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What is that kind of relation that I am in the place of everyone? I'm instead of everyone, I didn't understand.

M. Laitman: That you don't need more than that feeling – that we are together as everyone.

Student: There's something new here that I don't succeed to understand, how can I be there instead of, how can I feel instead of everyone? Even put everyone aside, let me put one friend in front of me, my friend, here.

M. Laitman: Yes?

Student: What does it mean that I feel him, that I feel instead of the friend, what does that mean?

M. Laitman: That you, you will feel that you are at the center of power, understanding, feeling, attainment, action of everyone.

Student: Let's say a friend has a certain worry, he doesn't have wages, he doesn't have a job and I want him to have one. How can I, I want him to have some income.

M. Laitman: Why is that?

Student: It's important to me, why is it important to me? Because we're trying to reach spirituality together, not because I have something with his need for income. So, what should I do, how can we do an action or how can we do an action between us? Or maybe that's not the correct way to look at these things.

M. Laitman: No.

Student: So, there is something called that I need to feel instead of the friend, or instead of everyone, which I still don't know what it means. Maybe friends can continue asking because I've reached my limit, I don't know how to continue asking.

M. Laitman: Okay.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (29:39) I felt a few times that my prayer is instead of the friend, or even the friends, the collective, and the emotion of that prayer increases, the emotion, that need, for the Creator. And how can I include the Creator in my prayer because I heard that there are Mitzvot between one person and another, and there are Mitzvot between the person and the Creator. What is the difference between them because I want to include the Creator so that my entire prayer, that I'll be instead of all the friends and the whole world, and the people of Israel. I want to include that I request that for the Creator, request for them for the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: First, what is the difference between a Mitzvah between a person and another person, and a Mitzvah between a person and the Creator?

M. Laitman: Well, probably it's more, much more.

Student: Person and the Creator? I heard, as Hillel said, that the important thing is between people, between friends.

M. Laitman: Yes, that first we have to be between man and man, then between man and the Creator.

Student: So, I should hold the intention in this action between me and the friend, it's as if I can. I need to hold the intention so that is in order to give contentment, and not that I will enjoy that relationship that I have with the friend? That it would be an example for others or something like that but only the Creator will enjoy it? How do I know the difference between Mitzvot between friends?

M. Laitman: Between man and a friend, yes.

Student: And me and the Creator? Is it one plus the other equals 612 Mitzvot because 613 is love your Creator, love the Lord. But there are also friends between the person and the Creator, so how can I see if I need to place my intention between me and the friend or between me and the Creator? And that also adds complications, more complications between all the scrutinies.

M. Laitman: I don't know, I think we'll continue scrutinizing as much as possible and over time you'll understand more what it's about.

Student: One example, we have begun doing prayers after the lesson, it's something which is very special. Why are we doing that, is it between me and the friends or is it between us together and the Creator, or what's happening here? Where should we place the intention in that action? Just as an example.

M. Laitman: I don't know, the fact that you started, oh, laying the Tefillin, yes.

Student: Why are we doing that? I see that we are doing this action every day but where should we place our intention in that? It's in the collective and the Creator or it's between us?

M. Laitman: Yes?

Student: Why are we doing that action, is it in order to receive some benefit for ourselves, or it's supposed to be to benefit the Creator? And if it's to benefit the Creator, what is the benefit of the Creator, the Creator is a perfect whole. So why do we do that Mitzvah every day? And thank you for guiding us in that direction but what do we do, what are we doing?

M. Laitman: We see from all the actions and thoughts that we can perform and think in speech, thought, and action. That we have some actions in which we probably influence the Creator. These actions we want them to be as means so that as a result of that we will change our own attitude, our proximity to the Creator. That we'll better understand and better feel, so it's good that we do that but still, we don't truly understand what it is we're doing. What to do, I don't know.

Student: There are a few Mitzvot that we can execute only after incorporation, only after we succeeded in incorporation. There are Mitzvot that we might only be able to carry out when we have connection in the Ten and then incorporation, and then as a nation. Is that a good way of viewing the process?

M. Laitman: Could be, could be.

Student: But maybe not, I want us all, I feel us all, the friend and I are asking instead, or in place of all the friends. All friends, we're getting up and asking for the sake of all the friends, in the place of all the friends. We want to be precise in relation to the Creator and in relation to each other. How can we place the intention correctly so that we advance?

M. Laitman: Yes, that's understandable, we have to agree that our actions are perhaps not so truthful and important. But our intentions, that we work, that we relate to our actions – they are what advances us to the process, to the goal, yes. There, well, there are numerous possibilities to speak of the human beings between themselves and between them and the Creator, what can you do? That's the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (40:17) You said that we lack the attitude of incorporating with each other to help each other. What kind of incorporation should we do as a Ten now in the lesson?

M. Laitman: First of all, that I want to nullify myself, that's the first, that's one action; the second action, I want to bring myself to a state where I am connected to the friends, and I become included with them together in their efforts. Then, let's say third action, that I, by connecting to all my friends, I want to influence them more than where they are – I want to raise them higher, to raise them higher. And this is how I'm willing to position myself. Now, it's clear to me that in all those things I'm making myself, here, very special, and with a big ego and it doesn't put me in the true place. But I can still use that to relate myself to that because otherwise, I just have to make myself a zero, and that, too, is incorrect, that's it.

Student: So, actions like annulment, connection in the Ten, raising all the friends, all these actions. Those are what bring us to incorporation between us at the end of it all?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And that incorporation, what is that? Where does it take us?

M. Laitman: To the form of Adam.

Student: That deficiency, mutual deficiency between us, that for incorporation, that gives birth to a new form, and that takes us onward?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: If I now connect that to the article we read, to this excerpt, all these actions of Mitzvot, of connecting, of bestowing to the friend, of annulling ourselves, are those called Mitzvot?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, 612 Mitzvot, how are they connected to all the actions of connections that we have in the Ten?

M. Laitman: They are probably including all our actions.

Student: Meaning, all the actions of connection in the Ten among the friends, that's enough for us to reach love of the friends and love of the Creator? We don't need all the Mitzvot in the Torah and all those things that are written there as in actions, we don't need those?

M. Laitman: No, no need.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (44:36) When Baal HaSulam writes 612 Mitzvot and 613 Mitzvot, is he talking about a quantitative or qualitative ladder?

M. Laitman: I think qualitative.

Student: There's nothing quantitative here — one, two, three, four, five and onward. But 612 or 613 represents a certain wholeness or wholeness minus one for the sake of the matter?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, if we take this whole discussion here, what does Rabash write in the Writings of Rabash? For us, those are the Mitzvot, we don't know the Mitzvot, everything we know about the wisdom of Kabbalah, that's what we know, and what Rav teaches us. Are there other Mitzvot that are not written in the writings of Rabash that a person needs to perform?

M. Laitman: No, he didn't write about all the Mitzvot.

Student: He writes about the relations between man and man and from there to the Creator?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, for us, that is the complete framework.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: From within that, make yourself a Rav, annulment, and all the other things that Rabash writes about, are there different degrees of those? Meaning, there's annulment at the level of one, two, three, four, five, and onward?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Can you take that qualitative scale of the 612 Mitzvot and dress it in that way? Those Mitzvot are actions that we carry out in the connection between us, in experiments, to connect and relate to it correctly. And Baal HaSulam writes about the different degrees, which are qualitative, of relations between man and man, and man and the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Why exactly 612, does that represent some kind of wholeness?

M. Laitman: 612 means all the actions that a person can be incorporated with, bestow through, in some direction; that's 612 actions.

Student: When we work in the Ten, we don't work in a detailed way, we work in this general way toward the goal. We execute actions that we heard from Rav and that we read in the sources, and we aim at the goal. We can't come and say that's Mitzvah number seven, that's Mitzvah number 12,we have a path and a method. Why suddenly should we dismantle that into details? Or there is no need for those details?

M. Laitman: We don't break it down to details, no.

Student: Our work is in relation to a tendency, in relation to a goal on the basis of what we have learned, our actions. We don't have the ability to identify in that all kinds of degrees and sub-degrees, etc.

M. Laitman: No, we begin to differentiate between them, understand them but not from actions but from usage.

Student: We have work in the Ten through which we come to work of the Creator, to Tariyag, to 613, which is qualitative work with a greater will to receive and more complicated states. And it's something qualitative, not quantitative?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (48:29) If I heard you say that I need to, as an example, that friends will succeed in the lesson, that they will attain, and I have this resistance to that. I want to connect to that and I feel this resistance, is that scrutiny of that resistance, is that the work of my way of growing and progressing?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (49:06) It feels that states that are quite complex for a person are those that awaken an attitude to the Creator – it could be anger, hatred, or gratitude. My question is what is in the friends, in the Ten, that they need to awaken in me an attitude to the Creator?

M. Laitman: All in all, your work with the 613 Mitzvot and the friends that should lead you to a special attitude towards the Creator. That, all the friends constitute your feeling of the forces of the Creator. And all of your actions lead you to different kinds of relationships that can be between them.

Student: And the friends that are called, the Ten, and Her entered into the person's reality, it's not like a family or anything that you could say threatens the person if he doesn't do this. It doesn't demand of a person to, his attitude toward these friends has no demand or threat. It's, how from that kind of attitude to the friends, there is an attitude to the Creator that's born? Meaning, earlier we said that there is a state of complex states giving birth to an attitude to the Creator in the person. How through the friends who are not in the reality of the person, there needs to be a special attitude to the friends from which will be born an attitude to the Creator. What is that attitude that I need toward the friend, or to the Ten where from that I will directly feel the Creator, the reality of the Creator?

M. Laitman: This needs to be man's attitude to his friends, as man's attitude to, I don't know, to infinity. Then to him this infinity will be clothed in the friends.

Student: How do we awaken that kind of attitude, one that it's that important to the friends, it's unnatural?

M. Laitman: It's not natural for and it's not at all, this belongs to our desire. Our desire to bring the unlimited form into a limit. And here, each one finds in himself what hinders him, what prevents him, from merging these two images together.

Student: A limited attitude to a limited one, could we, could you explain that?

M. Laitman: That I want – no, I can't explain that. It comes to us, and then we're actually grasping it, quickly.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (54:24) We understand that carrying out the Mitzvot is our attitude in the heart, it's something of the heart. So, two questions: First, Baal HaSulam writes that there are 612 forms of attitude where we can coerce ourselves. And there is a certain attitude called love that we cannot coerce ourselves. So, what are those forms of attitude that we can force ourselves into as opposed to what we can't? Meaning, what special, why do we, why can we force those, and not that?

M. Laitman: There is a copy of actions that are realistic and actions that still are not realistic.

Student: The 612 are a replica of the realistic things. Can we understand what is realistic?

M. Laitman: That's so that you can depict them, compare between them, connect or bring out one from another. And that is realistic.

Student: Meaning, it's something that a person can depict to himself and therefore also force himself to do?

M. Laitman: Yes. And in actions that are unrealistic, we still cannot use them, we still have not reached their level.

Student: Why isn't love realistic for us? The 613th Mitzvah that we cannot force ourselves into, why is it not realistic?

M. Laitman: It's not realistic, it appears to me, because it's in order to feel that amount of love, I need to annul myself.

Student: We'll get to understand that more. Another thing, I feel in the lesson that we're getting an illumination from very high states, somewhat far from us. But we still kind of feel something, but they're far.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: I'm truly fulfilled by that, and I enjoy that but I don't know how to actually bring that state closer to happen within us?

M. Laitman: It needs to happen, gradually.

Student: If we accept this feeling, it means that it's getting closer?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How can we bring it closer, what can we do so that what comes from afar I'll perceive it, receive it, attract it?

M. Laitman: Simply to continue. Okay, what else do we have now, onwards?

Indeed, their words require elaborate explanation. In the end, the love of the Creator should not have come to us as a Mitzva, since there is no act or enslavement on our part in it. Rather, it comes by itself after completing the 612 Mitzvot. Hence, we are quite sufficient with the commandments of the 612 Mitzvot, and why was the Mitzva of love written?

To understand this, we must first acquire a genuine understanding of the nature of the love of the Creator itself. We must know that all the inclinations, tendencies, and properties instilled in man, with which to serve one’s friends, all these tendencies and natural properties are required for the work of the Creator.

To begin with, they were created and imprinted in man only because of their final role—the ultimate purpose of man, as it is written, “No outcast shall be cast out from Him.” One needs them all so as to complement oneself in the ways of reception of the abundance and to complete the will of the Creator.

This is the meaning of “Everyone who is called by My name, I have created him for My glory” (Isaiah 43:7), and also “All that the Lord has worked was for His sake” (Proverbs 16:4). However, in the meantime, man has been given a whole world to develop and complete all these natural inclinations and qualities in him by engaging in them with people, thus yielding them suitable for their purpose.

It is as our sages said, “One must say, ‘The world was created for me,’” for all the people in the world are required for a person, as they develop and qualify the attributes and inclinations of every individual to become a fit tool for His work.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Reader: (01:02:24) Maybe Rav can explain the last paragraph, “As our sages said”? What does it mean?

M. Laitman: What’s written there?

Reader: “It is as our sages said, “One must say, ‘The world was created for me,’” for all the people in the world are required for a person, as they develop and qualify the attributes and inclinations of every individual to become a fit tool for His work.”

M. Laitman: Yes, that is the truth, that all the created beings in the world participate in the creation of the person. And what is there to add, here?

Student: What does it mean a person must say, the whole world was created for me?

M. Laitman: That's what everyone needs to attain, that the created beings, the people of the world, that it was all created for them. To give them the opportunity to understand and to feel that everything was created for the person.

Student: Everything that happens in the world, I have to relate to it as happening for me?

M. Laitman: If it exists, then yes, it could be that I still don't see that but at the end, yes.

Student: Everything that happens in the world develops and qualifies my properties and tendencies until they become a fit tool to serve the Creator? What does it mean?

M. Laitman: That if a person develops properly then everything in the world he will need to reveal it as all being for Him.

Student: Where do we begin that?

M. Laitman: That from that in which you connect with the friends, and in their attitude with them toward you – or you toward them. You reveal the network of forces and relationships that bring you to that. And then you gradually reveal that nothing in the world was created but only for you. Why was it given like that to the person, we do not know. That he reveals that in every created being that he reveals in the world, there is a certain point in his fate.

Question (German): (01:06:15) What prevents me from dedicating all of my life to love and meaning?

M. Laitman: It's because you have a lot of desires, thoughts and actions that confuse you. You cannot be focused on one thing and constantly hold on to that and focus everything on that.

Student: But that's ultimately the purpose that you do need to get there.

M. Laitman: What will be the end, we don't know how we reach that, yes, but that's how it is. That's seemingly what needs to be.

Student: So, a person has to overcome all these disturbances to discover that as the purpose?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:07:24) Can we ask the Creator to give us love to Him before I've reached love for the friends?

M. Laitman: It's always possible to ask. Whether you would receive that before reaching love of friends, no. From love of the created beings to the love of the Creator.

Question (Women Brazil 5): (01:07:47) What does the Creator expect from the created being?

M. Laitman: The Creator expects from the created being that the created being will reach the level of the Creator once in return.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:08:15) I wrote, here, that a person discovers that any creation a person finds in the world, he discovers it has a point of his fate. And that all of the creations, all the occurrences in the world, are an opportunity to feel the world was created for me. So, there's an entire world in front of me – some things are good, some things are bad, some things are painful, harsh, pleasant, unpleasant. What is a person supposed to do with all that?

M. Laitman: The person needs to seemingly make this image within himself of the whole world, all the created beings among themselves. And to identify them in himself and outside of him.

Student: What does it give him, why does the Creator give him all of that?

M. Laitman: That's a question that we really truly reveal it but attaining it is very hard. But, seemingly, it's something for the future.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:10:18) To continue the friend for a second: This is a question that in the campus students are asking a lot. Before people start studying, they study all kinds of principles, then the first question they ask in all the first few lessons is, wait a minute, but I want to see it, but I want to do this with the person at my work or apply this to me and my child or my neighbor, or my uncle. And one of the things we teach them is before you try to engage with all of reality, focus first on your Ten. Don't scatter, don't try to perceive all of reality through these principles and tools we study. So, my question is when is it correct for a person to begin to feel that the whole world was created for me? When can a person truly get a sufficient power, understanding so that he really begins to work with this thing that is outside of the Ten, our group, to actually see that the whole world was created for me?

M. Laitman: I don't know, it's something very personal. It's very personal, I cannot say.

Student: Is there any advice we can hear from you to communicate to students when to start looking at that because at the moment, we tell them, wait a second before you go and take a step outwards.

M. Laitman: There is this wait a moment from that in which they do not grasp a full picture and then their outcome from this research, seemingly, is also an incorrect outcome, that is all. We need to draw them deeper and deeper and deeper and more internally, more inside. Just like with kids, that you give them all kinds of toys, something to play with. In the meantime, they will learn something through external things, that is all.

Student: That is really the advice we give, now I am asking about, say, people who already advance on the way. When can a person truly begin to work with the world outside? What is the sign that he should look for?

M. Laitman: That is to the extent in which he starts feeling the world within himself.

Student: To feel this world within himself means part of what the Creator created for me?

M. Laitman: Yes, you can put it that way.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:13:44) We talked a lot about how an individual does not count in spirituality, it has to be at least a Ten. And I wanted to continue this question from this direction, that we heard a conversation you had about incorporation with the friends. And we felt from the conversation that we want to incorporate with another Ten, with another piece, that a friend feels like a representative of his Ten. So, I wanted to continue this question: When a person wants to feel that all the world was created for him, and he serves his Maker. He first has to arrange himself correctly in the Ten. What does it give him, this inner formatting that he does with his Ten to be ready to receive this reflection of the world, that it's all a reflection?

M. Laitman: The fact that he's organized in his Ten, that gives him the right attitude towards the world outside of him.

Student: Before that, what was his problem to relate correctly, when he didn't have a Ten?

M. Laitman: Before that, he couldn't have done it, he didn't have enough information to stabilize himself correctly before his Ten. Now, he gets some kind of direction, a tendency or maybe some distortion, and he can turn himself around more correctly towards the Ten.

Student: You said before that a person has to feel like he's instead of everyone, in everyone else's place. That you want to incorporate with everyone, that you're instead of everyone, and other than that, you don't need more than this feeling. And friends feel that feeling this in the Ten is always being in prayer because even having a Minyan refers to a prayer, typically. So, this exit outside to feeling the world, is that a kind of a device for prayer, where one wants to always maintain the connection of reality with the Creator. Reaching that point of tying everything to everything else?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:17:00) You're guiding us to some kind of incorporation on a very high level in the connection between us. And that we need to take one another and embrace each other and reach a certain peak of connection. What is that peak that you're talking about?

M. Laitman: That I guess everybody will reach one peak at the same time.

Student: I want to ask you to continue what you said, that we're, so we will all be aimed towards this peak of this special, exalted connection. You said that everything was created for me. He writes here, we should know that all the inclinations and the measures that are immersed in a person to serve his friend. All these inclinations and natural measures are necessary for the service of the Creator. How do I take the measures I'm supposed to take from the Creator which He imprinted in me, through my connection, that we're doing in society right now? We want to reach this apex of connection and then each discovers the qualities received from the Creator, and all of us together as one?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How do we prepare ourselves to this now, together?

M. Laitman: Why not, what's going against that?

Student: On the contrary, I'm not against, I'm for, I just want to know because I'll tell you. Yesterday we heard your discussion with the friends in the Ten and the question came up of how we prepare ourselves to the next state of incorporation, the Convention that we'll have in February? And I think that already now, this preparation that you're talking about, already this apex of connection and of incorporation, how do we prepare in the Tens? Like, of course, first in the Ten, to see how ready we are to incorporate with other Tens, and how do we do it?

M. Laitman: Only by opening your heart, opening the heart towards all the friends and let them enter in there.

Student: Meaning, each in the Ten needs to feel that the Ten, all the friends, are in his heart. And actually, this connection that every friend in the Ten should feel within him, the importance of each and every one that is part of him. How do we take this connection between us, between two Tens? Now, we want to, let's say, have a meeting to initiate a meeting between two Tens, would it be incorrect to do so?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: So, how would it be correct to do it now?

M. Laitman: First of all, we need to learn how we connect between us, what it means to feel everyone in one heart. And in this, we advance,

Student: That apex of connection that you talked about, it's first in the Ten?

M. Laitman: In the Ten, of course.

Student: Understood, thank you.

M. Laitman: In the Ten, we still don't feel it, what the connection in the Ten means. I don't have words for this, don't have words to say anything about it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:21:09) I feel that the common prayer that we do every day really guides us and brings us closer to the new state. What else do we need to demand from the Creator? What else do we need to demand from Him to give us additional vessels, tools, to be able to do what you're saying?

M. Laitman: I think that it's good for us to pray for the feeling of connection – that it won't conceal our state of separation.

Student: To not conceal from us the state of separation?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What does that mean?

M. Laitman: We'll scrutinize it later, I still don't know how to depict it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:22:05) First of all, to say that the whole topic of incorporation that came up, we have a document that we can read and open it up, more. Also, to ask about what I heard now, Baal HaSulam writes that all the inclinations that are imprinted in a person with which to serve his friends, all these tendencies and natural properties are required for the work of the Creator. So, for the sake of connection, we'll probably need all the qualities, measures that we need for the service of the Creator.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And what to do with the qualities and inclinations that are imprinted in the Ten that annoy me, that I don't like, I don't love. That I'm not capable to tolerate, it's opposite me – one's kind of annoying, and one's indifferent, and one's this and that. What can I do with that?

M. Laitman: No, no, you have nothing to do with it, just to love them.

Student: How to love them?

M. Laitman: I don't know, I'm today already, I can't. I can't get into this. Alright, so what are we doing next?
