Reading excerpt #11 (01:01) “When he sees that he will not update vitality through acts of..”

2. R. (01:11) Meaning the reason he comes to the deeds of bestowal is only in order to receive pleasure because otherwise without pleasure he can’t live. If the Creator arranges for him such that according to the deeds of reception he cannot receive pleasure then he has no choice but to move on to the deeds of bestowal, you see this in everyone.

3. S. (03:24) It’s not clear what is the difference if I'm suffering or the suffering is for Lishma, for the sake of the Creator?

R. A person always makes actions with the intention of what he will get for it, so usually the intention is simple. I perform an action and I want that from the action that I perform now I will get some form of pleasure. I want this pleasure to be felt in me, you could see this everywhere from a baby to an old person. This is an action that everyone understands. Now, comes the question: How can I change something about it? so if I do an action and through this action the pleasure from the action, the result from this good deed I do not feel but rather someone else feels it, I do not have the power to do so. That action is called an act of bestow.

I cannot do anything, I'm not capable, I am not built in such a way, I am only willing to receive. But if, like he writes here, let’s read, it’s best to do it this way: When he sees that through acts of reception he will not obtain vitality then he begins to perform acts of bestowal, because the act of bestow brings him pleasure. Meaning I dont have a choice, I performed all sorts of action, I wanted to enjoy them and now I see it’s impossible, they do not bring me pleasure. It follows that the suffering reforms him, meaning that the suffering that he feels where he has nothing from which to derive pleasure makes him become reformed, meaning perform acts of bestowal. Since being reform means bestowal, since it is written, “my heart overflows with good things” so I say that my work is for the King meaning to bestow.

Why to bestow to the King? because I have no choice. I turned to the creator after I see that with all of my actions I cannot delight myself. It follows, through the sufferings that he suffers from not having vitality he chooses for himself a new way and begins to engage in bestowal, but his intention is still to receive pleasures. And, even though this is with the aim to receive but it is called Lo Lishma, which is close to Lishama, this is the meaning of, “from Lo Lishma one comes to Lishama”. Meaning this is already appearing as a transition from Lo Lishma to Lishma, since the light in it reforms him. How? since he acts in order to bestow by which he begins to feel light in the act of bestowal and this light can then make him do it in order to bestow. Meaning it will obligate him, it will educate him to bestow. Is this process understood?

4. S. (08:40) Why do I feel pleasure when I perform an act of bestowal, usually I feel tiredness, heaviness?

R. I understand you. You should try to perform acts of bestowal that will bring you pleasure. Try. Why do we have meals? Talk between us, come close between us? We need to each show to the other how much he cares, even though there is no concern there but nevertheless how much each cares for his friend in order to evoke through these acts of bestowal some form of pleasure. We need to prove to ourselves that in our actions, in our group actions there is pleasure. There is pleasure. We go on trips, we have meals, we talk among ourselves, somewhat help one another in order to show others and to ourselves first of all that in these group actions there is pleasure that we can enjoy; that the group itself is a source of pleasure and by appealing to the group and helping the group we can receive pleasure, awaken it.

5. S. (10:58) As a result of the difficulties we come to the good deeds but when does the intention appear from this persistent work or is there something else we need to acquire?

R. Our intention in the meantime is to receive pleasures; however we do acts of bestowal in the group between the friends in order to receive those pleasures, in order to prove to ourselves that bestowal towards the friends can bring me pleasure and In this way we advance. I start to feel more and more that through the connection between us and the mutual bestowal and the mutual assistance we can receive pleasure, and together with that I see that from any other form of relationship outside of the group, I cannot receive pleasure.

S. So at the end this is built as a result of hard work on the long path and you just have to convince yourself that there's no other way?

R. Yes.

6. S. (12:42) There is this feeling that comes from this passage that Rabash is depicting some kind of a simple process: that the person stops receiving pleasure from all of these actions of receptions and automatically starts going and looking for some kind of a pleasure from actions of bestowal. But it seems that in our life it does not happen in such a simple way, it looks like something is missing, it may be on purpose he is not telling us, so I'm asking you what are these conditions that we transform from in order to receive to in order to bestow?

R. If you were to read what he writes, what he is saying: He is saying that we can receive pleasure from being connected, from giving to one another and here is truly where the obstacle is.

But if he is suffering torments and he is running away from them towards connection with the friends then he already understands and feels that connection with the friends can bring him confidence and pleasure, fulfillment, and then what Rabash writes here comes through. Then he begins to engage in giving because he sees that the act of giving in the ten brings him pleasure. Look at what he wrote, I'm starting again number 11: When he sees that through acts of reception he will not obtain vitality but he is in the group and sees that he doesn't really have anything from that, then he begins to perform acts of bestowal in order for the acts of bestowal will bring him pleasure. He's not seeking an act of giving but he’s looking for pleasure. But through the acts of reception he does not receive pleasure then he might be getting pleasure through acts of bestowal. It follows that the sufferings will reform him, meaning the suffering that he feels that he has nothing from which to derive pleasure, make him become reformed, the suffering reforms him. Meaning that he will perform acts of bestowal because being reformed means bestowal, yes.

It turns out that through the suffering that he suffered he has no vitality he chooses a new path and begins to engage in bestowal. Meaning because he has no vitality so the lack of pleasures push him towards bestow, although this too is with the aim to receive; just as he’s replacing one job with another but it is considered Lo Lishma, not for her sake which is close, which means from Lo Lishma we come to Lishma, since the light in it reforms. Since here it is through act of in order to bestow even though he does not have the intention to in order to bestow but an intention to gain some kind of vitality, and that is how he gets there. Because he is engaged in acts of bestowal by this he begins to feel the light from the act of bestowal. In these actions themselves there is a certain pleasure, a certain light and that light can make him later perform an act of bestowal, from wanting to bestow. He is being brought to the intention to bestow.

S. Can I be more precise here, if I was certain that all of our work was comprised of the fact that all of our will to receive stays and the pleasure from the will to receive we build above it this entire system of bestowl but here from this passage it turns out that the my will receive is taken from me and I have no choice and from here, I actually have to try to start get building bestowal.

R. Yes, this is also how we have to correct. I have the will to receive and I see that I cannot use it because they both receive brings me suffering so I leave the will to receive and work on the desire to bestow to give to others and be giving to others to received a certain degree of vitality by then and then gradually slowly, slowly I come to a state where I later replace the desire to receive of mine by the desire to bestow it is a transition.

S. There are two different things for spirituality on one side I have the will to receive and above that I build bestowal and on the other hand they take my will to receive and from this despair I feel like I have no other choice no other way to go with will to order bestow why are there two other two different paths?

R. Because there is ' bestow in order to bestow' and then receive in order to bestow two different levels, two different states to follow one another and are revealed in such a way in the person. We are now in the state that we don't understand how this happens. We need to talk about it a little bit to get confused about it to engage in it this way until it works out.

7. S (20:03) Is there some kind of a change or transition some meaningful in the transition from Lishma to Lo Lishma one transition from for her sake not from her safe to her sick

R. I do not understand what that means.

S. Does it go for some significant change?

R. Many things change in a person and when he goes from Lo Lishma to Lishma.

S. What are they? Can you say exactly?

R. You always want to run forward, listen and you will understand yourself.

R. I will explain. What is not understood to us all completely is Lishma. This matter of Lishma? This matter of Lo Lishma is outside of our nature. We need to reach that state. How can we get there? We are explained by the Kabbalists Baal HaSulam and Rabash. We cannot grasp it because until we acquire it until we feel it, we do not perceive it, we cannot grasp it. What to do?

There's a different example here, a simpler example. If I think about myself only the desire to receive pleasure,delightment, it turns out that I only think about myself and I understand only what benefits me and I will like it. I don't like it. However I spin myself with my mind, my heart will always be turned into the direction of my benefit. I will always judge and measure every action and result according to what I will get from it. Even if I want for the benefit of someone, it will nevertheless be for my benefit. This is our nature.

This nature is called Lo Lishma. Lishma is called for the sake of the Creator , for the sake of others those that are outside of me. Whereas all of these discernments, all the people, all that I see in my senses, still ,vegetative, animate, and speaking, all of this was created and is felt in me. Through them I will come to bestow through them I will come to give to the Creator himself because I cannot feel Him. When I feel him there is still vegetative animated speaking in front of me and I somewhat change myself from in order to receive to in order bestow and I come this way in order to bestow and from all of these bestowing I can come to bestowing to the Creator and then I become like Him. This is what we need to attend for the time being in the spirit of being in our state, which is called, in this world.

This state in which we are thinking for ourselves, feeling ourselves, operate for ourselves own benefit is called Lo Lishma not for the sake of the Creator for ourselves for our egos which is before the Creator.

The state in which we think through the friends because we have no other way to aim ourselves to the Creator.Where we aim ourselves through those friends to the Creatr the state this, this concern for the Creator,through the friends is called Lishma that is it. We need to do some exercises here in order to move from the state of Lo Lishma to the state of Lishma for the benefit of the Creator, for the sake of the Creator. The Creator doesn't need anything. He doesn't have the will to receive for the sake of the Creator, meaning we are thinking for everyone outside of us for the benefit of everyone who is outside of us and by this we become like the Creator. The Creator Himself does not need any such action from our behalf, only for us to recognize and get to know what it needs to be in the state, in his role.

9. S (27:38) Should a person start his work again in Lo Lishma when he cannot hold onto Lishma?

R. A person always starts from how he has built, as an egoist, just like the Creator says I have created the evil inclination, in man recreated the evil inclination and we have no choice, we are as such, and it takes many years and I'm not exaggerating, I'm saying years, until a person starts to understand and feel that he is completely from the will to receive and does not belong to the desire to bestow. Then he starts to use, I would say two means, which is the group and the study, in which in the group he implements the study and comes to state in which raises itself from the will to receive to the desire to bestow and by that becomes like the Creator.

S. We also say that our world is our reward to work without the reward, what should I understand from that, should I have no expectations?

R. For your reward to be bestowal, where you, let's say, love just like a mother loves her baby, and then to the extent that she gives him, it is not considered that she's giving him, the action is giving, but in fact by she is getting filled, she feels like she is the one who was eating, she is receiving, it all depends on love and who you love, that defines if you're giving or receiving, if you love yourself more but have to give to the other, it is considered that you are are giving inevitably, but if you love the other then you give him and from that to you receive, and therefore Kabbalah is called the wisdom of Kabbalah, the wisdom of how to receive.

10. S. (30:48) A connection that a person has with the friends in the ten, there comes a moment where you make actions of only in order to receive, and you don't even receive any pleasure from that amd therefore he decides to make actions of bestowal, because from that he receives pleasure, from acts of bestowal, so the question is, this what he says from what I understand this is Lo Lishma, so what does it mean that we come to bestowal, what is the difference?

R. We are already in acts of bestowal but with the intention to receive, that is called to bestow in order to receive that along the way we have such deeds, that is what we need to do for the time being in our groups, to bestow in order to receive, that is where we are bestowing to one another to in order to also receive from one another the forces, understandings and by that we are all connecting and then we will advance.

S. And this is what brings us to the state of bestow in order to bestow?

R. No no no but it does advance us in that we understand that there could be an act of bestowal, slowly, slowly from one lesson to the next you will see how you are advancing, also in the feeling and in the understanding, and also in the action.

11. S. (33:29) When egoism says to a person says that you were giving to the friends the greatness of the goal, also they’re receiving it also and the Creator is also enjoying from it, so what do I care if it's Lishma or Lo Lishma, I just need to work as an ox to the burden and it is not my matter, so how you work forcefully above the desire that I want myself to bestow, that it will be for the Creator’s sake and not something else.

R. Anything that you want to change, do it through prayer to the Creator. Anything, everything, simply you don't understand something or you don't feel or you don't do, you don't have in action and not in thought, not in speech, and not in anything, anything that is yours, you want to bring it forth through the Creator, try and you will see how this helps, how much this helps.

12. S. (34:56) What is the difference between Lo Lishma and some regular action that every other person in the world does, bestowing in order to receive, working in order to receive a reward, build a business, that too, you have a goal to do something, what is the difference between our actions in Lo Lishma and these regular actions?

R. Every person in our world performs actions and he performs these actions for a certain goal, either for the benefit of himself, or it could be for the benefit of others, or it could be for the detriment or harm of the others.

What we want to do is to perform our actions together with the Creator, together with the Creator, the Creator wants us to perform these actions together with Him. Therefore we cannot do an act of bestowal, we are not capable. But if you come to the Creator, you turn to Him, and say I want to perform an act of bestowal, it is clear to me that I alone cannot do this but let's do it together, you and me, address the Creator this way and try together with Him to perform a certain action, let's say today you have a day in which you devote a certain amount of time to it in which you are asking to do with the Creator together a certain act of bestowal, do it for someone, for humanity, for the group, the friend, and you will see what happens.

13. S (37:32) So it means that we cannot open our heart directly to bestow to the created beings, we have to have some kind of addition of the Creator here, right?

R. Where do you have the key to open your heart? Even your own heart you cannot open, more over the heart of a friend, you need to open your heart, the heart of the friend, to make between them a certain connection, and then they will be connected, these two hearts.

How will you do it, you do not have the approach. Just open your heart and the heart of the friend and connect between them, make a bridge with them, you don't have the possibility to do that, not your heart and not the heart of a friend, so how will you do that? All that is long, it will take a long time and it is complicated, but if you depict to yourself, then the simplest thing is to take a friend that you want to connect to with your heart, between your heart and his heart, and together ask from the Creator for Him to connect your hearts and to hold them together, the Creator really loves that, that he loves greatly, it was said about that the heart of ministers and kings is in the hands of the Lord, but the hearts of such people are in the hands of the Creator and he will connect your hearts, and I have nothing else to say, try to work.

14. S. (39:55) With time also Lo Lishma stops giving pleasure and from that moment we need to rise above this state of who doesn't matter what we feel and move to Lishma or we need to wait for the Creator to give us Lishma?

R. You need to wait till you get to Lishma but to wait is called to demand where you’re yearning for it. Where you are longing to disconnect from your heart and to enter the heart of the other and to perform all the actions with your heart with the desire and mind of yours which the other ones to do and think. And then in such a way you will be able to transition from Lo Lishma to Lishma. The very close thing we are truly in the prefix in the opening throws it.

15. S. (41:18) We in last few days talking that we are on the verge of Lishma but Baal HaSulam says that they're two ways of Lishma, There is Lo Lishma where you don’t you come to the potion of death and the other one where you say you reach Lishma. And I understand correctly now that we are really at the attainment of the correct Lishma?

R. Let's say so.

16. S. (42:02) What do you need to do in order to not fall again to Lo Lishma and want to receive again to this nature that is rooted in us?

R. First of all the Creator protects us in a powerful way in the form of bestowal and the second thing is that we are in a group and each tries to hold on to the group in order to advance to Lishma, otherwise we won’t enter it. Here the group day after day becomes more and more precious, truly the main asset, the means which has no other sources from and that is how we are advancing.

17. S (43:23) From the beginning of the lesson I don't even know I'm trying to understand what suffering are we talking about here because I feel it more more suffering from one side either I'm not doing enough and I'm not asking the Creator enough and I am not doing enough and asking for friends. On the other hand I need to do it without any reward and the ego is playing with me like what, what am I supposed to receive in return?

R. About this state it is written anything but leave because many people who leave and feel that this is what is before them that we are attaining that I attain before them and some conditions what they're entering Lisham with. They think that it is not for them even though it is for everyone. Besides inanimate still and vegitative and animal all of humanity will have to enter Lishma only that there are those who breach ahead, there are those who follow them, there are those who dragged themselves in the end.

But, everyone must whoever belongs to humankind, everyone must, they shall all know me from the smallest to the greatest and my home will be called a house of prayer for all the nations, it is written so. Everyone has to enter into a complete Dvekut with the Creator. Therefore the fact that appears to you like this or like that, specifically those people who are really in despair and do not understand how they can get to something and they see the others how they are succeeding and if they are not it is specifically these people who reach great peaks, that is how it is.

S. What, what do I need to do? I just need to continue going, you saying everything but leave?

18. S (46:19) The state of Lo Lishma it is not a neutral state it is the opposite completely from bestowal right?

S. I'm saying that this state of Lo Lishma it's not some neutral state, it is a state that is completely opposite to bestowal?

R. The state of Lishma is a state, it doesn't matter for bestowal of reception according to the actions. The state of Lishma is considered that I want a good beautiful result that will be called through the friends to the creator. This is called Lishma.

S. I'm asking about Lo Lishma. This is a state that is completely opposite. It is completely opposite, right?

R. Yes, yes.

S. So, how can this state even exist, how can this condition exist?

R. Because, I intend to have it good for me and I do not want the result of this action, of my action to be disconnected for myself and for it to be dependent on the friends, on the Creator but what I will get from this, how I will benefit from this.

S. Ok, what do I get from that?

R. What do you recieve from thinking about that.

S. What do I get from bestowing to a friend in order to receive for myself?

R. You want to receive benefits for yourself.

S. What practice do I receive?

R. That all depends on your action, if your action is successful and it is in order to receive then you will receive a certain response and then you see that that pleasure was not worthwhile because you were distant from the group, from the ten. Then if you think about bestowal then you will see how much you can bestow here and that the result of your bestowal will be received by friends and the Creator and this will already be called Lishma. It depends where the result comes from from my action or from the Creator either me or through the friends the Creator.

S. So, Lo Lishma actually pushes me farther away from Lishma?

R. Correct, but that's to show you where you are.

S. And then what happens at this final point where I see where I am?

R. Then, in the final point you feel yourself coming closer to bestow to the creator with all your might.

S. But I'm in the most opposite state to that acutally?

R. no, no, Simply you need to enter this and even get confused. Confusions on this are good because by doing so you scrutinize your vessel, your qualitites. Don’t worry about it.

19. S. (50:10) The line between Lishma and Lo Lishma is clear. So, why can’t my heart soften to work?

R. The heart is in the hands of the creator and not in the hands of the person. As it is written, “the heart of ministers and Kings is in the hands of the Lord”. Therefore, it happens like this until you can perform such actions, prayers where the Creator will straighten your heart.

20. S. (54:40) Today, I’ve almost burned up inside from whatever you said from within whoever farthers away is actually closer, I get it like they say. Yesterday in lesson, Yesterday , you spoke with Gershem about the physical pain, this physical pain with friends that friends have and said because of that they cannot reach spiritual. Me, as a doctor the matter of the physical pain is very close to my heart but today I want to speak with you not about physical pain but about spiritual pain. Do you recognize with the world BB, do you recoginze them as groups suffering from the spiritual pain from the inner pain by that they were not able yet to connect to spirituality to bring contentment to the Creator?

R. Yes, I am telling you that there are such groups such a people there are truly in the pain that they can not yet attain the matter of Lishma. Yes.

21. S. (56:17) We come to the path from torment but in the past whenever we are able to make act of bestowal, something changed, the quality, the essence, what changed, what can we point at and say the sufferings, these torments have undergone a change?

R. Our attitude toward suffering we do not consider as suffering but as necessary conditions in order to attain Lishma, to attain the Creator and therefore there's a certain mediation in judgment, where the sweetening of the judgments.

22. S. (57:06) At the beginning of the lesson you mentioned receiving pleasure and you can receive pleasure in the ten from some kind of a trip or gathering together, any kind of a physical action, there's no elements of bestowal there, so how can you receive?

R. There is an element of connection there and through the connections between us where between ourselves we are coming together we from such actions so we are sweetening this path.

S. So what should we make sure that we're doing in these external actions?

R. To be together in that it's in an internal action, to come to one heart.

23. S. (58:01) A person is kind of very egoistic looking at the Creator saying I want Lishma, how can you react to any kind of egoistic request?

R. There's no such meaning, when he truly comes to ask for Lishma then he will be ready to be down on his knees and not towards the Creator but towards the friends.

24. S. (58:38) The same mother she treats her baby receives her pleasure. She's not thinking about the pleasures, she was thinking about taking care of the baby. How do we perceive the attention for the action that we are doing?

R. This is through efforts, I do not really have what else to I add here. Through the efforts that we think that the spiritual goal is attained through connection, no one receives with him the purpose of creation, only in the connection between us, in the central point where we connect, there we discover the purpose of creation.

S. Then it doesn't really matter what personal intention that I have if I came to this point of connection with the ten?

R. Yes, meaning the one that you came with, until you come and connect to reach the goal with everyone you change greatly, you invert from being an egoist to being one who gives himself to everyone, where you made a zero of yourself.

S. When you make yourself a zero and you don't even really feel anything then how can you make an action of giving up connection with them?

R. When you come to the point of feeling of doing it then you will know what to do, where being a zero is being included in everything and feeling everything.

25. S. (01:01:55) If I heard correctly you said now you will be ready to stand before the friends on your knees, what does that mean?

R. No, that was where someone who is talking about being filled with pride so in such a way a certain person doesn't reach anything but rather spiritual attainment comes to a person to the extent in which he diminishes himself and that's why I said it that way.

S. It's just the second lesson in a row that you recognize this, you see the friend is bigger than you then you have no option?

R. That's written in many articles, it's written in them all, that self subjugation is the greatest possible thing, how do you work with your ego if you don't try to be each time lower towards the friends. Read what Rabash writes in the social writings, we don't have a more important and greater important work then subjugating before the friends.

S. I hear it from you and I agree to it but if I see, I'm trying right, I'm not trying to justify myself or anything, but I see that I'm trying and the Creator is painting some picture to me that I am big?

R. The Creator will always do the opposite to you in order to give you the room to overcome.

S. So what am I overcoming here, I'm trying and I get an opposite result?

R. You came to school and you got some short explanation and exercises, in the exercises you need to solve on your own the same thing here, it's the same here, we're learning and explaining these excerpts but later you need to also do exercises as homework.

26. S. (01:03:20) First of all the ten here is very thankful for this very fascinating lesson, the question is this, if I correctly wrote, you said such a recommendation, exit your own hearts and enter the heart of the other and then work with the heart of the other. So two questions, to enter into the heart of the friend this is also to disconnect from my own heart or it's two different actions?

R. That you're rising above the desire to receive and dwelling in the bestowal of the Creator.

S. What does that mean?

R. It means that you yourself are not creating the force of bestowal but you're incorporated in the force of bestowal which you are immersed in which is in all of reality.

S. Meaning my connection to all this is what fills me?

R. Yes.

29. S. (01:06:24) What is the pleasure of Lishma?

R. The pleasure of Lishma is when you start to get pleasures because by that you bring contentment to the Creator the greatest pleasure to the Creator that's to receive in order to bestow.

S. So what is this pleasure here that you depicted at the beginning of the lesson where this transition where you don't receive pleasure from acts of reception but from bestowal with the friend?

R. That's the transition from an order to receive like you were before then to bestow in order to bestow until we go to receive an order to bestow.

S. But it's still….?

R. No, this is already all with an intention to bestow.

S. So the pleasure to receive, it's like meals with friends or gathering with friends?

R. Yes yes, also when you're sitting before your host and receiving food from him and you're eating it and enjoying it with the intention to delight your host, this is actually the greatest act of bestowal.

S. So this transition, because the pleasure is not the same pleasure from reception?

R. No, the pleasure is all in bestowal, the intention changes completely the quality of the deed.

S. So what's the benefit here specifically in this transition between pleasure of reception to pleasure of bestowal?

R. 51. S. (01:32:50) Are the sufferings in Lo Lishma a way to measure our advancement on the way?

R. Possibly. It's possible that in the beginning of the path we can measure it like that.

52. S. (01:33:07) It's not clear the state of bestowal in order from bestow, how can such a state exist? How can the desire to receive can reach bestow in order to bestow? Where does the matter of creation disappear at this point?

R. The matter of creation remains, only it's on the degree of Bina where it's all aimed in order to bestow.

53. S. (01:33:38) Why can't I check whether I succeed? I look at everyone else and see how the group advances in amazing speed and I'm happy for everyone but it seems to me that I will never reach Lishma? I am in despair and I have no words, only tears.

R. Why can't you be happy about the group making progress? You too have to make progress, so adhere to the group and together with them you'll achieve everything. Ultimately one cannot come out of his own circle he will always be inside the group.

54. S. Can you explain the connection between the actions of connections and the intention for Lishma?

R. The connection between actions of connections and the intention of Lishma is that from all of us helping each other and connecting with each other; we begin to feel that we have a single desire that is gradually unifying more and more and out of that we work to receive from the Creator so as to bring Him contentment.

55. S. (01:35:05) How to reach pain that we're not still in Lishma?

R. That's something you can also talk about, discuss it among yourself.

56. S. (01:35:26) Do I need to check whether the friends in my ten are taking pleasure in my actions?

R. Yes.

57. S. (01:35:58) When we enter Lishma will we be able to influence other people outside of the group?

R. Yes, and we will also know how to bestow. Because today it's still impossible for us to know, we cannot bestow to them the correct thing.

R. No no no. That's not how it works. We have to do all sorts of actions in order to connect between us and in order to connect between us and the Creator. To be aimed towards the Creator, to hold onto the Creator is not a problem in our vessels of reception; and in our vessels of bestowal it is a problem because our vessels of bestowal are found in the connection between us first, the connection between the friends. We don't have vessels of bestowal but when we connect together, out of the connection between us together we can approach connecting with the Creator. You hear? We don't have any choice, because no one has a vessel of bestowal. To have vessels of bestowal we first have to connect between us.

S. But when a person is doing actions of Lo Lishma he doesn't know he's doing actions of Lo Lishma, he's thinking is in bestowal?

R. No.

S. Can I make actions of Lo Lishma and know that they're in Lo Lishma?

R. Yes Yes. I'm willing to do all kinds of seemingly spiritual actions but I understand that I do want to enjoy it, that I care about what I get from it.

S. It's possible that a person is doing actions in Lo Lishma and he's doing it in the Lo Lishma so why not doing it?

R. That is his state in the meantime. That is what he does, he is still in this desire.

S. And he's aware of it?

R. Yes.

S. And how does he know he's going to Lishma?

R. How does he know that he is moving to Lishma? That's already different work: That the light reforms him and influences him and that he feels a possibility and inner urge to want to do actions where the result doesn't belong to him.

59. S. (01:39:45) It says here that a person is doing all the effort and doesn't want to lose it so the matter of not losing all his effort this is the will to receive, how do you turn this effort that you won’t receive in this place but you are bestowing to the friends?

R. Make more and more effort in your intention and demand that your intention be correct; that help will come from the Creator and until that happens there is nothing else to do besides prayer.

S. The matter of prayer, this precise point we see that sometimes you're doing the actions and you're raising the prayer and you're really receiving something that you're just shrinking, you don't even want to come to the meal you say, i labored for the friends and I don't even want to enter this place. But it's also not the correct actions so what action do you do here that you're entering together with them to bring contentment to the Creator?

R. Prepare the meal together with them and also not on your own, otherwise you'll be proud and you might not even discover this pride and then enter the meal, together with them, as one of them.

S. There's no fear to receive here?

R. The fear to receive is always there. The question is what kind of intentions and actions you're preparing.

S. It feels like there's an opening for the above reason here, but maybe I'm confused. How do you use the force of the above reason?

R. You try to do everything for the group, and you want to receive pleasure that will also remain in the whole group. That the whole society will feel how good it is to do these actions together.

S. And this is the vitality that a person receives from the work in Lishma?

R. No, In Lishma is a different thing. Do you want me to explain Lishma to you? how is that possible if there's no vessels?

60. S. (01:42:48) We speak about making actions like meals and certain gatherings that fit our state now. There are certain friends that are really suffering from these gatherings from these actions, what can we do in these cases?

R. I understand them too. But we have to understand that gathering is something that brings progress and Kabbalists used to give a lot of attention and words to it. So, I recommend participating with everyone and in doing these gatherings these connections, we should feel how much it adds right in that place, it adds to our vessel and increases it and expands. It is very effective.

61. S. (01:44:08) So in order to increase the connection in the ten to bestow contentment to the Creator depends on both me and the intention of all the friends?

R. It depends on you and all the friends, both this and that.
