Baal HaSulam - Shamati 78. The Torah, the Creator, and Israel Are One
1. R. The Torah, the Creator, and Israel are one, meaning the Torah, the Creator and Israel, the ones who yearn through the Torah to the Creator, are one.

2. R. (02:00) These things are not simple, but they are somehow clear, externally.
S. (02:13) What are the external signs of progress in our work internally and spiritually?
R. That I discover the importance of the friends, when I discover that they are the parts of my soul without connecting to them or feeling them internally. Not in their body or character but in their yearning to reveal the Creator. If I connect to this quality of theirs, this tendency of theirs, I am certainly advancing and correcting myself, correcting them and the world. Everything is out of my effort towards connection. I have nothing more, I have to see the system of Adam as broken and that is what we have to bring toward connection. This is our whole work.
3. S. (03:26) Is Torah the result of our connection?
R. The Torah is the light that reforms taking care of us. There is an upper light and in this upper light there are many phenomena and roles. This upper light taking care of us and correcting us, bringing into us all kinds of discernments, is called Torah.
4. S. (04:13) How do we find the hidden Torah together in the ten rather than individually?
R. We have the story of the giving of Torah. The Torah was given for the sake of connection and this is why we need to try to connect in heart and soul between us and to advance by how much we are capable or not; by this it will become clear to us what Torah is. This is a system that takes care of us from a higher degree, truthfully a very high and special degree, and from there comes down the light called Torah. There are many interpretations to that written by Baal HaSulam and this is how we advance. The meaning of a person learning Torah is understanding what this light is that takes care of us and corrects us. He understands what is happening to him by drawing the light that reforms, and he draws more light and corrects himself more. This is how, in this mutual work, drawing the light from above and correcting himself in the connection with the friends below, this is considered that he is learning Torah. He corrects himself with the friends to correct the vessel of Adam HaRishon.
5. S. (06:52) It is written that a person needs to learn Torah Lishma, for Her sake. Does this depend on a person to study to reach Lishma or does he reach it under the influence of the upper light?
R. Both are correct. A person has to reach the study of Torah, Lishma, for Her sake, that all his actions will be in order to bestow, for the sake of others, rather than for himself. In order to have the possibility to reach a spiritual action, the Creator broke the desire into many desires so that mutually we can bestow upon each other. There is a verse, ‘go and provide for each other’ and when I bestow to others, I learn Torah. I need the light that reforms so I have to connect to others and when I connect myself to others, I discover the Creator according to the condition of Come and See. This is how our work is. Ultimately our whole work is all-in all-in connection. As much as it is hard for us to agree with that, as much as it is difficult for us to hear, there is nothing here besides that. Years go by and we hear, but we don't hear. It passes by the ear and then later it enters the ear a little bit but not the brain; maybe later it enters the brain but it is just the brain, maybe only as philosophy or something. Later it comes closer to the heart and then when it enters the heart, this manner of Torah is already a big thing.
6. S. (09:20) These articles that we are learning touch the heart and our work in connection. What can we add in each moment to come closer to connection above our ego?
R. The main addition that we have, especially what has been revealed since yesterday, is that we are becoming a world Kli. There is a network of our connections around the world and we all understand, more or less, what our path is, our intention, the correction and the direction of the development of the world. We are able to aid the world to advance in a nice, comfortable, and beautiful way rather than wars and problems. This is the main thing that is being revealed now in this time. We are really going into the practical system called ‘the last generation’ where we are all connected and we all depend on each other, where each helps his friend and that is how we will advance. I really hope it will affect the whole world and the decisions of all the managers in this world in each and every thing in the world. The world will feel that advancement is only towards connection. We are inducing that.
S. How do we take an active part with you in this?
R. We have nothing besides our study and dissemination. We need both our internal inclination of study and lessons and our external dissemination. We can't succeed inside in our connection between us and the revelation of the Creator if we don't disseminate to the crowds outside. You see how the whole world is connected and how much it is suffering. We have to explain to it why it is suffering.
7. S. (12:39) I don't understand what it means that the Torah and the Creator are one, and that the Creator is clothed in the Torah.
R. This will be revealed later. It is the upper light, abstract, that is being revealed to us this way, in a few manners, but later it will all connect together.
8. S. (13:17) What do you mean when you say to connect to the tendencies of the friends?
R. I like to aid my friends in everything that I can in order to cause them to have the best possible conditions for connection.
9. S. (13:38) How can it be that a person must learn Lishma [for Her sake] when he is still not there?
R. He has to know that there is such a study called ‘Lishma,’ and that is what we have to come to.
10. S. (14:00) It is written that the light, Israel and the Creator are one. Where is the revelation of Shechina [Divinity] here?
R. In the revelation of the Creator in the created being that is called the revelation of the Shechina, the appearance of the Creator in the created being.
11. S. (14:23) Did Rabash give the name ‘Shamati’ to the notebook?
R. It is written on this notebook. Yes.
12. S. (14:39) You said before that with the quest of corona it is like we are all working in a spiritual office in order to raise all of humanity to the degree of love and connection. What is that same office we need to work in?
R. We have to establish, make up, and expand the network of connections between us so that it will take care of telling, explaining, and teaching all the humans by what connections they should be in order to guard ourselves, and not go into all of these problems starting with the smaller ones and ending with wars as Baal HaSulam writes. Everything can happen, so let's connect ourselves to the correct mutual systems in order to not let the bad forces of nature push us towards connection.
