Kabbalist Responds to Einstein’s Antisemitism Experience

Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman and Oren Levi discuss Einstein’s experience with antisemitism. Below is a loose transcript of the talk… Oren Levi: In 1936, Einstein wrote his friend a letter, which is being auctioned now. In this letter he speaks of the atmosphere of hate against Jews in American society. “There is a tremendous measure of antisemitism,” he writes, “especially in the academy, but also in industry and in banking. This enemy is everywhere. Maybe it can't be seen, but you can truly feel its presence.” How can educated people—especially in the academy, where they see how much Jews contribute to research and development—hold such dark ideas about Jews? Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman: The more developed the person is, the more he hates Jews, and this is what guides them in every moment in life. Hatred of Jews is irrational, supernatural, and it exists in every person and also in Jews themselves. Oren Levi: Is this really our fate, to always be hated? Dr. Laitman: Until we will do what we are obliged to do toward all other nations. What we need to do is to show an example of connection between people. If Jews will be more connected with one another, not only will the hatred decrease, but they will start learning from us how to connect. Only if we build the force of connection between us—that we want to truly be as one nation, “as one man with one heart,” in this way can we influence all other nations so that they too will connect among them. In the meantime, we don't see it, we don't understand it and neither does the rest of the world, that in the future, we all need to be connected. All nations must become as one nation. Connection isn't solely a Jewish obligation, it's universal. Jews, however, activate the process and they need to lead it to a state where everyone will be “as one man with one heart.” That is the only thing that will calm down the hatred against Jews. Also, the rest of the world's problems will be resolved along with it.
