TES:

Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 1. Part 2. #5 ("That first circle is the closest to Ein Sof.")

Item 5 ARI “That first circle is the closest to Ein Sof ….” Twice

Inner Light 80 “We must understand the discernment in the names ….”

52. S. (11:33) What is the difference between the connection in the circle and line?

R. The line is basically a vessel that was created after the circles on one hand and after the restriction it feels the circles so we have both circles and straightness and our purpose is to work according to the straightness meaning the coarseness and the screens and, in this way, to fill the vessels of the circles. We have no more than a reservoir of our vessels but the vessels of circles, this is what we have to fulfil even though it happens through the straightness. Meaning the correct relation to the vessel of bestowal and the vessel of reception, the relation to the reflected light and direct light, the whole spirituality spreads from above downwards in circles and our work from below upwards when we relate to the Creator is in vessels of straightness.

53. S. (13:013) Can you explain the paragraph one before last as it said you will understand the matter of the records?

R. Now you will understand the issue of Reshimot that remained in the 10 Sefirot of circles, first emerge the circles, the beginning of creation and then they were restricted and came direct next, straightness after the restriction and the departure of perfection and the fulfillment that were in the above four phases that are called 10 circles. These 10 circles were emptied, Reshimot means that all of the desires that fills them when they were in Ein Sof and they were now lost and remained thoroughly imprinted and recorded and for this reason they necessarily remained longing and yearning for the fulfillments and perfection that they had. This is what we call Reshimot. So, what is your question about Reshimot?

S. He writes in the next paragraph?

R. So I will read the next paragraph. We said about it there cannot be any occurrence of any desire of any kind both in the upper and corporeal world that is not rooted in the 10 Sefirot of circles. There are two roots that precede the existence of all the world after the restriction; the first is when every desire already exists in its full glory and grandeur. This is the reality that exists in Ein Sof. The second day is when all the desires are completely emptied of the fulfillment that was related to them in Ein Sof. This root is called the world of restriction.

S. Yes, the essence and they desire, how does this work out?

R. What works out?

S. The 10 Sefirot.

R. You had 10 Sefirot before the restriction this is the emergence coming out of the Creator towards those created beings, in the upper light a desire was made and this desire develops and by this desire the upper light connect to the desire, fulfills it and this is how they work together, ten Sefirot of circles.

S. It is not the same desire we are speaking about, the desire to receive it's the upper desire?

R. No, of course not.

54. S. (16:48) What is the reason to remember these roots compared to the later roots and branches as we continue to study?

R. We are learning the system of creation, the way that it was made and the way that it emerged and how we later came out of it through the restriction, come through the shattering of the vessels we are learning about ourselves, where did we come from. At the same time, we are learning about the shape that we should come to. So, we have two points here: our point of origin where we came from and our final destination where we should evolve to become. Kabbalists went through this path and explained to us that we should see ourselves, how we advance and how we enhance, that we accelerate our development to reach the final correction as fast as possible. This is why we need to know the system, the forces that affect the system and how they work with us and how we, by them and hasten our development. This is what we are learning. We're not learning something theoretical, it is a very practical thing as the Kabbalists don't write about anything that has nothing to do with us, if they would write less, they would. This is why we should accept their words in a very serious matter because whatever they write has a spiritual force to bestow upon us and help us to advance somehow.

55. S. (19:28) What changes does the circle go through after the line fills it?

R. The circle is filled by the light of the line.

56. S. (19:51) There is a big difference between the desire and the circles and the straightness. Can we say that in a circle it is in potential and in the line, it becomes actual?

R. No, we will learn that as there are many discernments about it, in the circles the natural desires and in the straightness, they are after the scrutiny of how much you can do, how much you can use that desire. In the straightness the desire is already scrutinized.

57. S. (20:32) It seems that Baal HaSulam is writing about how all of the discernments come from Reshimot, a place that was light and was departed so the phases are part of Reshimot?

R. They are also Reshimot from the light that was there.

S. So the 10 Sefirot to a new state?

R. Yes, of course.

58. S. (21:09) All of this extends Keter HBZAM.

R. Yes.

59. S. (21:27)

R. It depends on what that you're in for if they want the light in order to bestow, first of all bestowals and in order to bestow they are willing to receive the light, that is why in that case it is not Klipa, it is Kedusha.

60. S. (22:06) What does it mean when the circles are in one another?

R. It is when each one who is more internal is operated or turned around by a more external circle because in the circle see more external is the more important, it is the more primordial, ancients. This is why the circles are one in the other, you don't have to draw them this way, it is just your imagination as this is considered that the external circle is the cause of the more internal one.

61. S. (22:57) We learn a lot about Reshimot but what is all this information in creation?

R. There is nothing besides the desire and the light, the light is bestowal on behalf of the Creator and the desire emerges in the light and that is the foundation of the created being already. Then we are speaking about the connection between the Creator and the created being as the Creator is the upper abstract light filling the whole of entire reality is that light, the desire that appears in this reality, in the light is the beginning of the created being. How is it created? When it is created in the desire to receive it starts absorbing, drawing into it the upper light in order to enjoy, in order to be fulfilled, in order to grow and this is what we are talking about, how the create it being by being in the Creator, in the upper light, how is He advancing in creation, what does he do, what happens to Him?

Item 90 Inner Light “Do not be misled into the interpretation that the word ….”

62. R. (27:54) Limited or restricted in anything, the circles are like the light, the light created completely.

Reader continues: “this screen and Sefirot of the line stand in the ….”

63. R. (30:16) I can answer, but what is happening here, the circles are the real vessels, they came out of the light and that is why they have the same nature as to light they are not limited in any way. Afterwards come the vessels of straightening, they come from the weakness in the desire to receive to be a beast or this is why it is limited, restricted then the line comes and this is called the line of measurement. So here the line can't equalize with a circle, we have the matter that the first three, the line can resemble in somewhat the circle and then it turns out that the GAR of the line can be in the circles connected to them and ZAT of the line the lower seven Sefirot of the line can't be in connection with the circles, it can only connect between the circles and then it turns out something very interesting, that in every place we have circles, in the circles were GAR from the line, the first three in between the circles what connects between all of them is ZAT, the 7 lower ones of the line and that is the structure. What came out after well when the desire to receive was created, we don't really use all of these things until they are revealed from experience, only from practice but for now we don't have much to do with it, with all of this information and even though it is very interesting what is happening in the nature of the circles of straightness and the circles of straightness and he doesn't write about it in a broad global way like he does, for now it is enough.

64. S. (33:03) The circles are these emotional states in us?

R. Everything is emotional, if it is not, we wouldn't be able to talk, to hear and to describe.

65. S. (33:18) What is the interaction between straightness lines and circles, what is their duty together alone?

R. It depends where we are talking, if we are speaking about Ein Sof, of course there are circles and before the restriction, if we're talking about after the restrictions there everything depends upon straightness, how much straightness starts to be clarified and to be a picture from above down words and how later it comes to realize itself from below upwards. Meaning there is a difference here, the circles are usually a general supervision or the entire humanity. The entire humanity is also a circle as it doesn't have above or below, not a shape it is entirely directionless. If you're talking about human beings in the still, vegetative, and animal except for the speaking level which is straight to the Creator, that is directed. But all of the rest they are under the effect of the circles, under the bestowal of the circles. This is why we relate directly to the Creator and if we do bestow upon it, or affect it, we as a line can dissociate ourselves to the circle. We will talk about it and that is the way it is.

66. S. (35:22) What does it mean this division into Rosh, Toch, Sof, the first three and the circles in the straightness?

R. That is not a simple question the thing is that the circles are vessels prior to the restriction, the Rosh of the Partzuf is also seemingly prior to the restriction because there are no limitations there yet, the limitations start from ZA which is the giving of Hassadim so KHB are limitless as they belong to Rosh HGTNHYM belong to the body of Partzuf this is why the Rosh is round just as we can say for us it is this way as well and the body is as a line, there are other such signs and the head is above the body, and the body is only here to hold the Rosh and to give the Rosh an ability to exist and to govern it.

67. S. (37:02) In the final correction we return to the state Ein Sof, so the screen that causes the connection they stay in the final state?

R. Usually we don't talk about a situation after the final correction, you can say a few words about it according to what we think, but in truth it is not respectable to speak about the final correction without being in the start of the corrections. We can say one thing, after the final correction we will reach states that will be very similar to the first circles, however because all of our screens will be connected to all of our desire everything will be under one big screen which will govern all of the desires, that is why all of our desires will be straightness, however limitless like the circles. This is basically what we will see you in the end.

68. S. (38:43) We are learning in a very advanced level, it is very strong. How should we come out of the morning lesson as each one is going his way, what should we take with us from which a strong learning lesson?

R. The main thing is that every day we have to understand that we receive an opportunity to advance from above and it is an opportunity to connect between us meaning the fact that I come out of the lesson after viewing it and forget about everything else, that it is all very well but the Creator is giving me an opportunity to make a connection between ourselves again. The fact that I remember everything we have learned is also an opportunity to connect in this is something that we need is to each moment connect more and more between us.

S. How can we disseminate what we have learned about, can we do such a thing, can we disseminate towards the world, our environment that we go to work in?

R. I think you can disseminate everywhere without any limitation just to take the person in front of you into consideration so that you can help him advance and to understand and to feel better, except for that there are no limitations. You can go about it whatever you want, however do not take your own ego into account and fill it by showing how wise and big you are, how much you understand but rather that you should take this person that you're talking to into account. That he will enjoy your words, that he will feel himself that he has a place to advance and something to do with this life.

S. So there is no fear of speaking about Kabbalah?

R. There is no fear you can talk and speak in the form of love your friend as yourself. There's just one thing to ask, you had a survey of how content you were with the Congress, if you want to take a bigger part in it, what do you think and your response is very important for us. So please relate to this questionnaire that you received or that you will get and it is all for our benefit. We want to advance towards the next Congress as each congress should be with good results to lead us to true spiritual degrees. If we speak about this Congress, we want to have in September I hope that it will be very successful, much more successful than all the previous Congresses. How to do this in what way, with what lessons, when should the recesses be in what should the content be, I want to know everything, what do you think as you are the executing Kli. It is not like I am your nanny taking care of you like your little children, you know we have to grow. That's why I am showing your awakening our attention, to take part in all of these questionnaires that you get from the management.so please tell us how content you were with the past congresses.
