369. “We will rejoice and delight in you.” “In you,” since all the letters take the holy covenant, which is “in you,” which are Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav Zayin-Het Tet-Yod Kaf-Lamed Mem-Nun Samech-Ayin Peh-Tzadi Kof-Reish Shin-Tav.
370. Aleph-Shin-Bet Gimel-Tav-Dalet Hey-Kof-Vav Zayin-Reish-Het Tet-Peh-Yod Kaf-Tzadi-Lamed Mem-Samech-Nun Ayin-Zayin-Reish Akatriel, the Lord of Hosts sits on a high and elevated throne, and all the armies, the commanders of the armies of above, to his right is life, and to his left is death, and the throne stands on four pillars, and this is the middle pillar in the four blazing flames of the letters.
371. Bet-Shin-Aleph Dalet-Tav-Gimel Vav-Kof-Hey Het-Reish-Zayin Yod-Peh-Tet Lamed-Tzadi-Kaf Nun-Samech-Mem Ayin-Zayin-Reish Yod-Hey-Vav. This is the concealment of the middle pillar from those four pillars by which that throne is supported, with the letters of the alphabet. They are twelve in each pillar, and each of them will exist on twelve supporting pillars on which the throne will exist.
372. The left pillar is different, Tav-Aleph-Shin Reish-Bet-Kof Tzadi-Gimel-Peh Ayin-Dalet-Samech Nun-Hey-Mem Lamed-Vav-Kaf Kaf-Zayin-Yod Tet-Het-Yod Hey-Vav-Yod. This is the concealment of the left pillar, and the throne is established on them in the concealment of twelve supports.
373. But they are nine words in each pillar, and not twelve? However, three letters join in one combination to three words on this side and on that side, ascending and descending, and they are concealed in Yod-Hey-Vav, and engraved in the engraving of the holy name Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Hey-Vav. These are concealed in the first pillar, the right one. Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Vav-Hey Hey-Yod-Vav are concealed in the left pillar. Hey-Vav-Yod Vav-Yod-Hey Vav-Hey-Yod are concealed in the middle pillar, so the throne will be complete in the twenty-two letters of the alphabet, for that holy covenant, Malchut, collects and takes into her the “in you.” For this reason, “we will rejoice and delight in you.”
Although The Zohar says that the letters were already embodied in ZA, all this pertains only to the root, but the letters themselves could emerge until the world of Beria came out, below the screen of Atzilut, as from there and below there is control to the screen, but in Atzilut, there is no power of the screen at all, and without the power of the screen, the letters are not embodied. And the reason we discern there a screen and letters, is only for the roots that operate such as this in the lower worlds.
The Zohar explains the four pillars on which the throne stands, how they are joined in combinations of the twenty-two letters. For this reason, it explains them in the world of Beria, in the four pillars on which the throne stands, since this is where the letters begin.
However, their roots, with all their details, are in ZA of Atzilut. Hence, Malchut receives all the combinations of letters from ZA of Atzilut, and with the clothing of Malchut in the throne in Beria, she elicits there all the combinations of letters she received from ZA of Atzilut. But first we must know how the twenty-two letters are divided into three lines.
It is written, “We will rejoice and delight in you.” “In you,” since all the letters take the holy covenant, which is “in you,” since Malchut, who is called “covenant,” takes all the letters and all the combinations that are “in you,” which emerge from the twenty-two letters, and shines them to BYA. These four pillars by which the throne is supported are drawn from the four legs of the throne in Atzilut, which are the three lines of ZA and Malchut who receives them. They are incorporated in each other, and in each of the four there are three lines, which are twelve combinations of HaVaYaH and the twelve tribes in Malchut.
However, here, in Malchut of Atzilut that descended and dresses in GAR of Beria, there is diminution because of this descent, and there are only two lines in her, right and left. They make eleven combinations in the twenty-two letters, which are Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav Zayin-Het Tet-Yod Kaf-Lamed Mem-Nun Samech-Ayin Peh-Tzadi Kof-Reish Shin-Tav, where each combination is a couple of right and left.
However, in the three other pillars, there are three lines in each. In the right line, Hesed, they are in order, where the first seven of the eleven pairs in the twenty-two letters, which are Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav Zayin-Het Tet-Yod Kaf-Lamed Mem-Nun, each pair is in two lines. The middle line is eight letters, which are four pairs. Since it is judgment toward the first two lines, it is arranged in reversed order: Shin-Tav Kof-Reish Peh-Tzadi Samech-Ayin.
Shin is the middle line to the Aleph-Bet, creating the combination Aleph-Shin-Bet. Tav is the middle line to Gimel-Dalet, creating Gimel-Tav-Dalet. Kof is the middle line to Hey-Vav, making it Hey-Kof-Vav. Reish is the middle line for Zayin-Het, making it Zayin-Reish-Het. Peh is the middle line for Tet-Yod, making it Tet-Peh-Yod. Tzadi is the middle line for Kaf-Lamed, making it Kaf-Tzadi-Lamed. Samech is the middle line for Mem-Nun, making it Mem-Samech-Nun.
There are only seven letters in each of the two lines, and eight letters in the middle line, which ends in the letter Ayin, creating an eighth combination Ayin-Zayin-Reish, where Ayin is the middle line and the letters Zayin-Reish are connected in it. It is from the word Zarut [alienation] and judgment, as well as from the word Ezra [help].
In each line, there are no more than seven letters, seven Sefirot HGT NHYM. In the middle line, there are eight letters because of the screen of Hirik that the middle line carries. The combination of the last letter Ayin, with the two letters Zayin-Reish implies judgment and help, since with its help, the middle line prevails over the left and unites it with the right.
Aleph-Shin-Bet Gimel-Tav-Dalet Hey-Kof-Vav Zayin-Reish-Het Tet-Peh-Yod Kaf-Tzadi-Lamed Mem-Samech-Nun Ayin-Zayin-Reish are three lines from the twenty-two letters in their order, up to the combination Ayin-Zayin-Reish. Ayin-Zayin-Reish indicates the screen that is connected in the middle line.
Akatriel is Keter of Beria, where Malchut of Atzilut clothed with all the combinations of letters she received from ZA of Atzilut. For this reason, it connects and completes to nine words, and the throne stands on four pillars, three lines and Malchut who receives them, where in each of the three lines there are three lines, except for Malchut, in whom there are two lines, which are eleven pairs: Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav, and the nine words Aleph-Shin-Bet Gimel-Tav-Dalet Hey-Kof-Vav are the middle pillar. Hence, the combinations are in order. The pillars are four blazing flames of the letters, and the nine words are the right line in these four pillars.
The middle pillar consists of three lines, like the right one, where each of the seven pairs up to the pair Mem-Nun are right and left, and the middle line, which is the eight letters from the four pairs Shin-Tav Kof-Reish Peh-Tzadi Samech-Ayin, determines in the middle of each pair. However, the difference is that here, in the middle pillar, each pair is in reverse order since instead of Aleph-Bet, it is written Bet-Aleph, instead of Gimel-Dalet, it is written Dalet-Gimel, etc., since in the middle pillar, there is more judgment than in the right pillar.
Bet-Shin-Aleph Dalet-Tav-Gimel Vav-Kof-Gimel Het-Kof-Hey Het-Reish-Zayin Yod-Peh-Tet Lamed-Tzadi-Kaf Nun-Samech-Mem Ayin-Zayin-Reish Yod-Hey-Vav. In the first pair of right and left in the order Bet-Aleph, Shin of Shin-Tav is extended in between them, creating the combination Bet-Shin-Aleph. In the right and left that are Dalet-Gimel, Tav of the middle line is extended and creates Dalet-Tav-Gimel.
In the right and left Vav-Hey, Kof of the middle line is extended between them, creating Vav-Kof-Hey. In the right and left Het-Zayin, Reish of the middle line is extended between them, creating Het-Reish-Zayin. In the right and left of Yod-Tet, Peh of the middle line is extended between them, creating Yod-Peh-Tet. In the right and left of Lamed-Kaf, Tzadi of the middle line is extended, creating Lamed-Tzadi-Kaf. In the right and left of Nun-Mem, Samech of the middle line is extended, creating Nun-Samech-Mem.
This completes the seven combinations of the middle line, corresponding to HGT NHYM. In the middle line, which has eight letters, one letter remains free, Ayin, and joins the two letters Zayin-Reish creating Ayin-Zayin-Reish. To complete the nine words, the name Yod-Hey-Vav is added to them, the root of the three lines, and this is the concealment of the middle pillar from the four pillars in the letters of Aleph-Bet, where this order is the middle pillar that supports the throne in the combinations of letters.
They are twelve in each pillar, so each of them will exist, since as a whole, there are four pillars here, with three lines in each pillar, which are twelve. However, since they are incorporated in one another, there should be twelve in each of them, which is why there are twelve words in each pillar, since the three names Yod-Hey-Vav are added to them, which are the roots of the three lines, creating twelve words. This explains the two pillars, the right and the middle.
The third pillar also consists of three lines, but since the left pillar is judgment, the order of the letters in it is reversed so as to be reversed alphabet, in the order Tav-Shin-Reish-Kof. Thus, the right and left were not made of Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav in a completely straightforward order in which the right pillar was made, and not from the bet-Aleph Dalet-Gimel Vav-Hey, which is also in order. Rather, it was made of Tav-Shin Reish-Kof Tzadi-Peh Ayin-Samech Nun-Mem Lamed-Kaf, which is all reversed.
Moreover, the middle line in it, which should be made of the latter letters of the two lines, since the middle line emerges after the two lines, was made here from the letters that precede the letters of the two lines, which begins in Aleph and ends in Het, indicating the judgment in the left pillar.
Tav-Aleph-Shin Reish-Bet-Kof Tzadi-Gimel-Peh Ayin-Dalet-Samech Nun-Hey-Mem Lamed-Vav-Kaf Kaf-Zayin-Yod Tet-Het-Yod Hey-Vav-Yod is the concealment of the left pillar, since in the first pair of right and left, Tav-Shin, Aleph of the middle line was extended between them, creating the combination Tav-Aleph-Shin. In the right and left of Reish-Kof, Bet of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Reish-Bet-Kof. In the right and left of Tzadi-Peh, Gimel of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Tzadi-Gimel-Peh.
In the right and left of Ayin-Samech, Dalet of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Ayin-Dalet-Samech, and in the right and left of Nun-Mem, Hey of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Nun-Hey-Mem. In the right and left of Lamech-Kaf, Vav of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Lamed-Vav-Kaf, and in the two combinations Kaf-Zayin-Yod Tet-Het-Yod, there are nine Sefirot. We should say Yod-Zayin-Tet Het-Tet-Yod since in the right and left, which are Yod-Tet, the Zayin of the middle line was extended, creating the combination Yod-Zayin-Tet.
This completes the seven combinations corresponding to HGT NHYM. However, in the middle line, which has eight letters, one letter remains free, Het, and two letters Tet-Yod connected, creating the combination Het-Tet-Yod. This is so because the eighth letter indicates the screen of Hirik, which is connected in the middle line. This is why a combination from the word “sin” [in Hebrew] is implied in it, indicating deficiency and judgment.
To complete the nine words, the name Yod-Hey-Vav was added to it, the root of the three lines. However, since it is judgment, it is implied in it in reversed order Hey-Vav-Yod, and the throne is established on the pillars, where each pillar consists of twelve supports, which are implied by the words in each pillar.
But are they nine words in each pillar and not twelve, since there are no more than nine words in each pillar? Three letters join in one combination to three words on this side and on that side. The three letters Yod-Hey-Vav, the roots of the three lines, add one combination Yod-Hey-Vav to each line, ascending and descending, which shine in direct light and in reflected light.
These lights are hidden in the Yod-Hey-Vav, which are the root of the three lines, the engraving of the engraved holy name Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Hey-Vav, Yod-Hey-Vav to the right line, Yod-Hey-Vav to the left line, and Yod-Hey-Vav to the middle line. With the Yod-Hey-Vav and the three names Yod-Hey-Vav that are hidden in it, they are twelve words.
These three Yod-Hey-Vav are in the right pillar, in the three lines in it. Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Vav-Hey Hey-Yod-Vav are concealed in the left pillar, where in the three lines of the left pillar, these three combinations of Yod-Hey-Vav shine in his three lines, and with them, there are twelve words in the middle pillar, with the three combinations to complete the twelve words in the middle pillar lacking here.
Hey-Vav-Yod Vav-Yod-Hey Vav-Hey-Yod are concealed in the middle pillar. There are six combinations in Yod-Hey-Vav. The first three combinations Yod-Hey-Vav Yod-Vav-hey Hey-Yod-Vav shine in the left pillar; the last three combinations Hey-Vav-Yod Vav-Yod-Hey Vav-Hey-Yod shine in the middle pillar since the left pillar comes before the middle pillar.
This explains the twelve words in each of the three pillars. As the four pillars are twelve in general, since each pillar consists of three lines, and even the fourth pillar consists of three lines after the incorporation, and three times four is twelve, so should each pillar in and of itself consist of twelve, which is twelve words in each pillar.
However, in the fourth pillar, Malchut, there are eleven pairs Aleph-Bet Gimel-Dalet Hey-Vav, where each pair in it indicates two lines. The name Yod-Hey is added to them, and with it, there are twelve words in the fourth pillar, too, since as the name Yod-Hey-Vav was added in the three lines, since they are the roots of the three lines, so the name Yod-Hey is added in the fourth pillar, since it is the root of the two lines right and left.
