Daily Morning Lesson: September 23, 2026

Part 1: Sitrin Convention, Sukkot 2003. Lesson 2

Reader: Hello friends! Today we will begin studying together a new series of lessons from Rav. These are lessons from a Sukkot Congress 2003 in Sitrin – a very special lesson, Rav speaks Russian there! And we'll connect to a lesson from October 10th, 2003. It's quite a long lesson and after that we'll continue with studying among friends. Let's go!

M. Laitman: (00:39) We have probably already read all our materials for this Congress, or we’re, no, it's not clear? This is practically what we are going to need to study, go through together, in order for us to accumulate this commonality of qualities and feelings so that on the internal level we would come to this inner sensation towards one another in which we would acquire the Creator. Because the Creator is a force that is manifested in a person's altruistic quality and the intention to bestow, to participate, to unite with another. But with the goal that in this attitude, in this intention, he would feel the Creator. If we try and make such an effort, and this effort needs to be desperate, so to speak, like to the max; then, in this we have all the opportunity to come to the sensation of the Creator. The sensation that He exists in these relationships between us of being included with one another. Understanding each other, loving each other, bestowing to each other. And it needs to be only with respect to those who are part of this movement of ours in the study. Meaning only those who are aspiring towards the goal of experiencing the Creator between us. And it doesn't matter that we remain egoists, that we remain uncorrected; that internally, if I try to make an analysis within myself, who am I? What am I? Then, naturally I will discover that I am an egoist and I'm only doing it for myself, that I am interested in this, I need this. That doesn't matter, this is how we were created, this is how we must begin this work. But as soon as we make these efforts correctly and we feel the Creator within these efforts, we will feel Him in the same flow, in the same desire of ours to feel the other, to understand him, to really absorb him.

As soon as we begin to feel the Creator, then this feeling of Him will give us – how do I put this – it will suddenly give us such a force, such an understanding of the picture, that will bring us to a level where we feel each other, we relate to each other altruistically. What is it? We're going to understand it once the Creator is manifested within these states between us. Until He does, the person cannot even imagine what does it mean to come out of oneself, what Baal HaSulam calls, Altruism, as to do not for oneself but for others, as if for oneself, and so on. Only then, from that point on, until then, we need not begrudge ourselves our current existing qualities. We shouldn't stop as a result of this and say that it's not for us, it's impossible. It truly isn’t possible, it's only this manifestation, the attitude of the Creator towards us that's revealed as a result that allows us to do this.

So, starting from this moment on, let's try and relate to each other in this way, only in this way because the Creator created a Kli; the light created a Kli, the common vessel that He is filling. And if we recreate this Kli within us, we don't feel this Kli. It's as if we're restoring it and we're going to feel it between us. There are plenty of people here, a sufficient amount of people, and there is this aspiration to understand each other, to look for the Creator between us, in the sensations between us.

M. Laitman: (06:23) We're not looking for an attitude of good relations towards one another, we're looking for the Creator's manifestation in the attitude between us. So, the goal, that's the primary goal, to find the Creator between us. If that's not our goal, that means we would immerse ourselves into even greater ego and all of our efforts are doomed to fail, just as in communism and the Kibbutzim and all the other previous attempts. So, the goal that I begin with, this very beginning, is that I look for the Creator where He needs to be. In the Kli and the qualities, the mutual qualities, mutual aspirations towards one another.

Now, what do we need for this? To help each other so that each of us finds it easier to relate to one another this way. Let's not force each other with these external examples of love, it all needs to be in an inner level. There's this inner point that each one must find within themselves, where in these internal attitudes towards others, we catch the Creator on those levels. Now, in these days when we're together, think of it as this psychological training. That if we make this effort and we work on it, we should come out successful. As a result of this, there are several conditions that we need to undertake. We wrote a number of things in this address, right? Will you have it with you? There are some things that are written there and there are conclusions, so to speak. There is a request to the people that are coming here, for them to be more or less adherent to what's written there. No one is forcing anyone, no one is disturbing anyone, everyone is working inwardly with respect to others. As little contact as possible between men and women because it can confuse men, it's not such a big problem for women.

You are trying to support each other by not showing off in front of men, not imposing yourself in their eyes, giving them an opportunity to focus on their work, we all understand your nature, our weakness. We should help each other to move forward. What else? Well, everything else is written on this piece of paper.

Basically, all the laws that we have are only in accordance with the fact that we should be guided to the state that we should achieve. As Baal HaSulam says – there is an article by Rabash which says that, There is a short path and a long path for a Creator. In fact, there are two paths, and it is observed very clearly by beginners. There are those who accept what I am going to explain to you now. That is, to try to find a Creator in relations between people. But only in a group, of course, only among those who understand each other, the group can be limited, it can be tens of people. Of course, the more, the better but the main thing is that the quality is not at the expense of quantity, not at the expense of quality, so it wouldn't be the quantity, but the quality.

M. Laitman: (11:32) There is the possibility from the very beginning of one’s study of Kabbalah to understand that the Creator created just one single Kli. And if each of us, with respect to this Kli creates it, to imagine that he exists here, underneath the cup like a point that creates, builds this whole construction. Then, he relates to the people just like this cup, he glues them all together above him, tries to do this with his good attitude towards them. But in order to feel the Creator within, in these efforts, he begins to feel how the Creator relates to the whole world and then to him. And first, when the Creator is revealed, it's revealed as His attitude towards everyone, everything. A person begins to feel Him as the governing force of all that is around him. Meaning, through all people and their relationships between each other, the person begins to feel how the Creator stands behind all of them and governs them. How does he feel this? Because he sees that, to the extent that his intention is like the Creator's, he sees that the person that he's thinking about, he's doing what He wants him to do. Not because He's commanding him, but because when his desire aligns with the Creator's desire, that's what happens.

When I'm thinking about this person, he begins to act in the same exact way, turn this way and do this. That's how you begin to see it because there is the connection to the Creator in this world, and as a result this person begins to actualize his actions in the exact same way. That's how the Creator begins to manifest in this world, and we begin to realize that the Creator is in control and governs everything. The revelation, the gradual revelation of the Creator and His clothing in this world, that is called, The measure of the Creator's revelation, or the worlds, the different worlds. And it happens gradually within a person to the extent that one is able to come out of himself more and more with greater disturbances. This is when disturbances begin to appear and, more and more, the disturbances come to him and then, still, if, despite the disturbances, he begins to, he continues to try and find the Creator, nonetheless. To relate to others just as the Creator relates to them; with this, he begins to ascend more and more. To delve deeper and deeper into these various states of his, and he sees how, more and more, in the breadth of these states and attitudes between others, the Creator acts in them, over them. And the Creator's good attitude towards people is revealed – why the people behave the way that they behave; and all the other things we need to feel from there.

M. Laitman: (15:44) We need to try and reach such a state when we feel, when we understand that we are egoists, that we understand this. We don't want to be in this state with respect to others, like me with respect to all of you. I need to feel shame that I am currently in a state where I want to use, exploit all of you with respect for, exploit all of you for my own sake. So, we need to feel that we need one another and we cannot rise to a higher level where we can be united all together. At the same time, this connection on a higher level – like how to orient ourselves to be there, to arrive there – I also need to feel shame that I need, I want to exploit others for my own personal ascent. I need to feel, relative to the shame, I need to feel it like a springboard to give me this momentum to help find the right thought and feeling of intention towards each other.

18:22 In which intention do I improve my intention? The Kabbalists in previous times in history, they would help each other with these intentions. They would try to help others, of course they can't make these efforts, but instead of them, it's in the intention that is the Creator's manifestation. As I'm saying, try to create the relation in a way that it's not the opposite sex, the opposite gender. That it's not shame and going against shame, not that I'm trying to use the friend for my own benefit. And so, the Kabbalists help align, help direct one another to rise to a greater, higher degree, we have to help each other. And Baal HaSulam talks about it, that when Kabbalists write their books, they wrote specifically in order to help one another. One another, those who are beyond the Machsom so that they have a better chance to go quickly through the 125 degrees, since Machsom is only the entrance to all the levels. And, once we're in, we have to go through all of the 125 degrees and so, Kabbalists write their books for them. Baal HaSulam explains that all of this is done only to invite the light that reforms upon ourselves. It's not familiar but, gradually, it leads us forward but in what way does that surrounding light? If we try to do the work that Kabbalists do openly, we don't know what we're doing but we try like kids, like little monkeys. He does and we do, he doesn't understand what He does but he imitates it because that's what the adult does.

And so we don't quite understand how the Kabbalists work with that screen of you, the Rosh, Toch, Sof, the Partzuf, all of the cleansing, the Gematria, all of the challenges that they're having, where they compose letters, words. We don't understand any of that, we don't understand how it works, and truly we see that when we get there, we see it's only internal work with the different states that a person goes through. He takes their ego, he takes their sensations, their natural inclinations, and begins to work with that in the most optimal way. That's how you get the formula of the interrelation with others and that's how the Creator is formed. So, this is the meaning of that Gematria, that's what you can see in the books and in the prayer book.

M. Laitman: (22:02) We need to imitate that like kids who imitate the adults; meaning, intention just like a Kabbalist that forms an intention in regards to the Creator in search of their relation to the others. In the same way we do, we have to try, form our intentions in such a way towards the other, in search of such relations to the surrounding. But only within our group, our big group, never towards outsiders,we have to form such relations that are in form, in attitude, in likeness to what the Kabbalists are sharing with us. And that, like what they're getting in their Kelim in the Ohr Pnimi, internal light through the screen and then advancing forward beyond the Machsom. Where, clearly, the light of AB-SAG comes and the internal light that fills them, the presence of the Creator that they feel clearly. For us, it is yet to be clear. It is still external, this is why it's called surrounding light. But it depends on our resembling the work the Kabbalists share and we have to strive to resemble that work.

What does the Kabbalist do in essence when he is in this internal work? He is searching for more and more opportunities of interacting with others in our world, in such a way that through these interactions, in his relations to others, the Creator shows through. Then truly the light that comes to them, the surrounding light, attracts him to such states where he begins to cross the Machsom, cross the barrier and enter the internal light. Then when he begins to study the Talmud of the Ten Sefirot, you know, in the beginning, there are the words of the ARI and then The Commentary of the Sulam, the commentary of Baal HaSulam, it's called internal light. You can see, in essence, what he's done for us – we call it commentary – you can see what he's done when we approach this work, how he has described and has outlined everything for us, the beginners, to be able to receive this light.

So, this is the short path to the Creator, the path of hastening. Baal HaSulam writes in the Talmud of the Ten Sefirot, in The Preface, he writes that a person that begins, even the correct path, still needs to invest between two to three years of adaptation before he adapts to the books, to the concepts. So that during the study and within the group, to aim and align himself to that environment and do these efforts. Like a little child also doesn't grow in one day, he goes through a process. A third of our life is spent on growing, a third to working and developing; and a third to old age. And so he's working and he's actually warning that it's taking a few years but this is a process of adaptation, of getting used to it.

M. Laitman: (26:16) If we attempt to realize it and realize it in such a big group like ours, we have massive opportunities. Yesterday, I think a student said that there are people who speak in three, four languages with different mentalities. Today, we are united by the Russian language because it was done, due to the mass migration where we share something in this Russian language. But in about six months or a year when we’ll meet again – and I hope we’ll meet again and we'll meet even more frequently than maybe once every six months – we will see that people join who don't speak Russian. We will see more and more English speakers, Spanish speakers, meaning people from Germany, more, many will come from Austria. People who don't have any connections to Hebrew or Russian and so on and so on. We will develop in such a varied way to resemble the single united Kli, vessel, which embodies and which contains within it all of the various different parts.

For us, even the smallest one – look, only two, three hundred people already speaking in over ten languages, completely different mentalities. People from anywhere from Australia to Canada, Siberia, and so on, including all the south countries. You will see how we expand more and more and if you begin to take account what's happening with the internet and all the people that are listening to us. Most certainly, today, we have much better opportunities than what Baal HaSulam spoke when he wrote that we need two to three years of adaptations. Today, thanks to the information that we've prepared, and it's improving every day, we try to express it, every time in better ways of media. Then today, you don't even need that time, that two, three years or three to five years, as written a few thousand years ago. In the Talmud, it was written that in order to break into the upper world, the person has to study for three to five years, and that is called, The path of hastening because the long path can be 20 and 25 years. If a person is moving correctly but he's moving through the long path, but he's moving correctly, he's going towards the goal, it still takes him 20-25 years. We need to begin our first meeting, our first lesson, our first discussion, so let's all of us hang on to absorbing and embodying that path of hastening, that quick path to the Creator.

M. Laitman: (30:34) We're given such conditions from above, you understand how, what a special state we exist in. Never before there was an opportunity for people, for Kabbalists, for those who desire and wish to find the Creator to gather together. There are such examples over the ages, where they tried to gather and they tried to connect somehow amongst themselves, but they didn't have permission from above. I'm not even speaking about the famous example of the ARI who called his students to rise to Jerusalem, and they couldn't for such silly reasons of, My wife didn't let me. These are clear examples that are from above. That they've gotten such obstacles that they just didn't let them, and look at the obstacles that we get! But look at what we are getting, we are getting technical opportunities, material opportunity. We are given opportunities to gather together and speak of such high things of aligning to the Creator, of going straight to the Creator. Such opportunities you couldn't even imagine before, couldn't depict before. Usually any such attempts ended with bad outcomes, where all of it was ruined.

So, you have to understand that we exist in a time where everything is already prepared from above, and we are ready in the eyes of the Creator for this mission and everything else is in our hands! Like any movement forward that is happening, that is happening on our internal matter, on our desires of our yearnings, on our egoistic attempts to fulfill ourselves, and vice versa. Our altruistic attempts to find the Creator, that path to the Machsom, to the barrier is like a start-stop, is interchanging. I would say like a person stands in place and then leans forward over the Machsom and back, and leaning over the Machsom and back. He stands on that line and is tilting back and forth, I likened it to standing on the surface of the water, where he's going in and out. These states will repeat multiple times so that we have an opportunity to practice our internal states, our yearnings. That we have a chance to be across both states interchangeably; to be able to work through all the different Reshimot, our impressions. And since then, the Creator moves on forward, so don't pay attention that a sensation jumps. Of something that, then these sensations disappear, and then appear and then disappear – this is good!

Never feel sorry for the past, never try to go back to it, but in the new states always try to find something new. Just as when you approach the past to learn from the past, but not to repeat anything from the past. Just to learn from it and to implement it in new states, then, you're going to develop skills, your own skills like a child does in new actions, new things that appear around you. Try to always discover this new world around you, new sensations, new relationships. And don't worry if something disappears, that means it's okay, it must have gotten itself processed and then disappeared.

M. Laitman: (36:19) It's a long path as compared to the short one; it differs in that a person, instead of taking a goal that's clear before him to reveal the Creator in the relationship between himself and the group. It happens as Baal HaSulam writes to us in the article, The Freedom, it's when the environment determines a person, the person's future development. So, the short path is when a person realizes that he needs the environment for this. That when he's within the environment and he actualizes his qualities with and towards others in order to reveal the Creator in those qualities. To reveal the Creator, the governing force of reality, then, in this small environment, he will feel it, there at first and then it will spread to all over the world. We're saying the same thing now, how, within our group, to find this commonality of aspiration and sensation.

Opposite this, if a person doesn't undertake upon himself Baal HaSulam's advice, that this is precisely the shortest path towards the goal. He doesn't realize that the breaking of the Kli, the purpose of it, the process of how we got shattered into all of these different souls. Now, that we have this ego to overcome between us – this is what we call the body – if a person doesn't understand this, can't hear it, can't accept it as serious, something serious. Then this category of people, they are too thick, egoistically speaking, too egoistic. For them, advancement is a little bit different, they can move more towards the science of Kabbalah. They may be interested by the tech of it, kind of technical details. They may be interested in some certain aspects of group work, that they feel it on an external, superficial level. Maybe they are engaged in servicing, creating certain things, certain games within the group. Maybe it's also a path and we can't say that it's better or worse, there are some sorts of souls that would take the shorter path and there are those who take the longer path. We must always aspire to take the shorter path, but if a person feels that when he does it, he loses completely any connection with the group. He needs to reconnect with the group by doing something within the group, or to communicate, maybe, in a slightly different nature with others. Internally, he will continue to develop as he needs to, but he needs a little bit more in order to grab onto the short path, let's say. That's still commendable and we need to give such people the opportunities to contribute and to be with us.

So, when you're here with us, you see some people that are more or less inspired, let's say, to be in this attitude to reveal the Creator between us. Some who are, either they are unable to manifest it or unable to find it within themselves, they do it through work for the group. Even though one doesn't annul or exclude the other but they reveal it differently, manifest it differently. It's all commendable and the person must say that, Everything that's in your power to do, do. Meaning, if you feel that you have this need, this opportunity to connect to our common group in some other way. To do something, to assist in some other way, it doesn't matter how, you use those opportunities. It means that you have those things within you and you need to process them, you need to fulfill them, actualize them in order to advance.

M. Laitman: (41:03) You'll see all the work that we have done here with our group in Bnei Baruch. All the things that we do physically: we have the kitchen and the construction and translation and all sorts of things. We don't give this work out to some subcontractors, no, we try to always do this work internally. Even more, to take as much work as possible from the outside in. This year, we started publishing our own books and we also started making our own wine, we made 10,000 liters worth of wine this year, we've put together our own publishing house. We need to continue to work, to go through these things together because these efforts create new points of connection between us. If you have such opportunities, then absolutely take them, start doing the work, doing the duties. It's so very important and, besides this, there are all sorts of other activities and events that, some of them you can even advise and they recommend that we do, in addition, that might be helpful.

So, the short path and the long path, they both include these connections in the group; and then external actions, certain external actions, the effective joint action that can bring us to the Creator is dissemination, that's why we're always focusing on dissemination, it satisfies all of our important conditions. That means you're disseminating the wisdom of the Creator, you do it with respect to other people. Meaning you are bringing them into the common Kli. In so doing, you also realize what you're doing, so if it goes through you, these people are connected to you, you are connecting them personally. In this you can manifest your own attitude towards them, why you're doing it in order to reveal the Creator, even more for them as well. So, in dissemination, in all types of media, any person can manifest himself. It doesn't matter which part of this great volume of work that he takes upon himself. But it is the most concentrated form of the correction of the general Kli. That's why we spend so much time and effort and resources on this, we recommend the same for you.

The next form is the servicing of your own internal group and then other groups as well. That's on a lower level and a less effective one as well, that's why, if you see, you're gonna have a lesson here that will show you how our system is built. How we would like your participation in it. You'll see how our budget is allocated, our resources, our human resources; you'll see that, essentially, everything is going towards dissemination: radio, television, video, audio, books, publishing, processing of data, information, translations. There's this huge web and everything that we have that's working, it's all working towards publishing content. We think that's most important. We see how much it advances us. By no means, if we were to lock ourselves in, would we be able to reach what we have reached today. I know Kabbalistic groups that are studying, including those that used to study with my Rav; they don't try to come outside in this way like we do. As a result, they don't have this same advancement as we do, also for this reason – mainly for this reason.

M. Laitman: (46:09) How can it manifest internally for us? The best type of connection between us is when we talk about this material, what unites us. We cannot talk about our personal feelings: one man, one person must not reveal his personal feelings to another. One cannot disclose how he personally feels the Creator, how he desires the Creator. One's own personal relationship with the Creator cannot be disclosed to anyone else, must not be. Because we're all egoists, we're uncorrected and we have not attained the full quality of Bina in the world of Atzilut. After we have ascended the lower worlds, from Assiya, Yetzira, Assiya to Atzilut, what does it mean to ascend? By correcting, gradually, within ourselves our egoistic attitude until we reach a state where we have no reaction at all, no desire to any disturbance. That means by then, we will have fully corrected ourselves and acquired Galgalta Ve Eynaim, the quality of bestowal, and ascended to the world of Atzilut. At that point, we'll be able to not have to hide from each other because, then, none of us would be egoists with respect to ourselves and we would not be able to damage, to harm others.

But, until we have ascended to the world of Atzilut, we can't even talk about it. Until then, we cannot disclose, must not disclose our own personal relationship with the Creator. Because the other person, because he's not corrected, because he's an egoist, he will, willingly or not, he will introduce a disturbance in your relationship with the Creator. In this, he will bring you down from your level, that's why we talk with each other only about the group, only about how to relate to the group. How to relate to the friends or in the study, how the study corresponds to these actions. But it's not me and the Creator, we do not talk about this amongst ourselves. In so doing, we cause double harm: I cause harm to myself because the friend who is also an egoist like me, he harms me immediately with his automatic egoistic inclusion to my attitude, relationship with the Creator. That must be only between me and the Creator, and on the other hand, in this, I drop my friend from his level because, unwillingly, I bring him into an egoistic connection towards myself when I talk about my relationship with the Creator. So, that's why I must not do this on both these levels towards my friend and towards myself. Talk about the work in the group, talk about these articles that discuss what a person, how a person must work within the environment. But, absolutely, do not talk about how I feel the Creator and how it must be, that cannot happen. We can sing together, of course, as a chorus, that's not disallowed. Singing is the text that expresses our common aspiration. Well, it seems that this is all I wanted to share. Ask questions, please!

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (50:24) What do we need to do and in what form, our internal relation to the group?

M. Laitman: What do we need to do and in what form, our internal relation to the group? Well, this is what I spoke for about an hour now. More concretely, how much do I need to cross the Machsom? There is such an article, the very first one, that in principle, is fundamental, basic, fundamental article of Baal HaSulam, None Else Besides Him -- There Is None Else Besides Him. In which he describes, depicts a constant view of a person, of the world, that I am aimed to the Creator. He is the only one who exists, He is the only one that determines, that rules, that controls everything around me, in me, all my thoughts, actions, and everything. It is done by Him, and I only need to reveal it; the revelation of it, it's not by me sitting and doing some internal exercises, it will not help. I will come to some silly meditations, revelation, I will be able to reveal only through others, in that lies the problem. That we relate to all the information, the mass amount of information happening with a person; that it's me and the Creator, how do I find the Creator? The Creator shows Himself through others. Where do you begin to study the wisdom of Kabbalah? There is a light that isn't felt by anyone and this light is filling the Kli. The Kli feels it and begins to react to it. Oh, it wants to resemble the light, it wishes to feel it in this way or in that way? There is a parameter, a given parameter that there is a vessel and within it a light, and other than that nothing. Everything that occurs beyond that is only internal sensitivities of the vessel to the light in it. Oh, suddenly, he does a Tzimtzum or restriction, I don't want to feel you. Suddenly, I want to feel you but in a way that I'm not feeling shame. In other ways, I want to feel you in this way or in that way but, in essence, nothing changes: there is light and there is a vessel and the only thing that changes is the attitude, the relation of the vessel to the light.

So, when I say that I'm yearning or aiming myself at the Creator, the Creator is appearing through the general vessel. Meaning I have to make myself as a point that builds within itself the general vessel. It can be this small group, it doesn't matter because it's the general. I'm, through this group, I'm generalizing my attitude to the rest of the world, but we don't, we must not forget that the relation is through that Kli, through that vessel. When we speak of degrees of attainment of the Creator, we can draw it a little bit here and there, and make it bigger and bigger and bigger like we're attaining more and more and more. But, in essence, it's not that level of attainment, it's an attainment of the entire Kli but with greater and greater and greater clarity. It cannot be that a little person, God forbid, will not have hands or legs or feet. The body is general but I'm feeling it as one 125th, meaning this is me in the world of Malchut, of the world of Assiya, then with greater, and greater, and greater clarity. But Rosh, Toch, Sof exist from the very beginning, so when we speak of the sensation of the Creator and what I have to do, I am attempting to reveal There is None Else besides Him through this general vessel. And what is a general vessel, this is the collection of the souls, the collective body. And what is that collective body, it's the group; this is why we were given the society, because through it, I can practice this attitude, this relation, this connection.

M. Laitman: (55:35) You know how in a joke, the Creator says, I gathered you together all year to sink this ship, Titanic. You know, in the same way here, you see that in the group are collected those specific people. Specifically because they're so different, and from far away, and who knows from where, and we'll align on the stage later, I think. You'll see how different we are, and you especially, you are special, and you'll see that we have people from all over. How different we are, and how misaligned and seemingly disconnected representatives of all layers of this vessel. Not externally, we'll see this one is from Dagestan, and this one is from Estonia, and this is from Asia, and this is from Toronto.

This is externally but at least through that we’ll be able to imagine who is in this room, because the soul isn't determined by external properties or mentality, because the person is from the north or some other part. But you see how the Creator collects all of this, and it is enough for us to have our vessel, our Kli, to align our relationship, our attitude to the Creator properly through that. And in essence, it's enough for us to have 10, 15 people that are immediately around us, and the mission for everyone right now is to relate to that group that is here, now. Mainly men to men and women to women, without mixing because we're not quite on that level where we can relate to one another in such a way. We have to now consider ourselves one big group, you can't grasp all of those 300 men that are here, you can't grasp all of them! It is just your attitude to them, you cannot grasp, hold all of them but your relation, your inner relation to them, cultivate that, try to align that.

Question (Petah Tikva Center-Citrine): (58:25) If we begin correctly from the very beginning, you were telling us about this tiny point, this thread. What does it look like, this thread that we need to try and catch in our attitude towards the Creator? If you can talk a little bit more about that?

M. Laitman: I already said that, that calibration happens properly in such a way. Initially, a person is in a complete out, completely disconnected, not on course. Just like an airplane or a ship has lost its point of direction, the point of north. It has nothing to begin from. So we begin from the Creator, that There is None else Besides Him. If the Creator is not in the beginning and at the end of the efforts of the person, then those efforts are not in the right direction. And Baal HaSulam writes about that in a letter on page 53 or 63 in Pri Hacham, A Sage's Fruit. He even draws an image how this movement happens; how between the two dots in this movement has to be the Creator.

Meaning if I orient myself properly, I come out to searching for the Creator, and so the Creator is my endpoint, and the group is the means, what is the group? The group is my properties, my very properties, the 620 properties that appear to me as if they are outside of me. The soul is composed of 620 properties, this is the number because there is a part that is composed of RAMAK. I keep forgetting the number – 248 – these are the parts of Galgalta ve Eynaim; and SHASSAH is 335 something of AHP. And 7 parts, 365 AHP, and the entire body of the Partzuf is 620 parts. This Partzuf can be completely the Partzuf of Adam HaRishon, it can be any part of its small parts because the general and the collective are equal. Regardless of how you divide the Partzuf, you always remain with 10 parts, and any part is divided into more 10 parts. So one part or 620 parts are all the same, so when I begin my action, I have to take a course, a course to the search of the Creator. But what is the search of the Creator? It is so easy to say, I am looking for the one who arranges everything, who exists in all of us. The one who arranges, controls everything, who gives thoughts and desires to anyone, to everyone, and to me. I already direct myself, align myself to the only source that determines I'm in a lecture, the only one that determines myself and everything else.

M. Laitman: (01:03:04) Now, what else are we missing? If I have said that to myself, that I am now aligned to the Creator. That everything is in unity with the Creator, this is how I imagine, this is how I depict it through words, this is how it is; but I've just imagined it to myself, I haven't attained it. How am I supposed to attain that this becomes a reality, for it to reveal, to open for me to exist in this state? I just say that yes, this is how it is, this is how it is because I've read an article of Baal HaSulam, or because I told you, then you know about that. But how do you attain such a state for you to be clearly in that, me and everything that surrounds me, and the Creator, we are all together in one state, and other than that, there is nothing? To attain such a state, that's a second point of a straight line, how do you attain that? You have to cross all of the internal states that depict all the points along that line, and reveal the Creator and all these 612 properties of the Creator. I will reveal them when I begin to practice them, on the surrounding environment, meaning on others. Because I have those 620 properties, and those outside of me, others, have 620 properties; and when I begin to align myself properly onto them, in this way I begin to try to find the altruistic intention by which I resemble the Creator. Through which I begin to sense Him as the only One who rules, who fills, who fulfills everything, and for me, my environment, my surroundings, become a means through which I begin to sense the Creator. To the degree that I make an effort to relate to them, to that degree, the Creator and I, we're – as if we're next to each other, side by side.

Now, to what extent can I find Him, feel Him, to become equal to Him, close to Him? I need to realize how He relates to this third person, to the humanity, to the common Kli. If I then relate to this Kli in the same way like He does, then I will be like Him, similar to Him. I have no other manifestation of the Creator other than the way He manifests to the entire Kli. We say, Good Who Does Good, that is the way He manifests to the common Kli. Outside of the Kli, we don't know what It means, we don't know Him, that's Atzmuto, something that no one can ever feel or understand. We only know His relation in the Kli, toward the Kli. So, if I relate to the Kli just as He does, I become equal to Him, similar to Him. I come to adhesion with Him, adhesion, that is the ultimate goal. If I take only this initial point to find the Creator as the only one, the single contact that reveals Himself in the Kli and governs the Kli, this single point. And if I want to expand this point for it to become all of my essence, for Him to fill me with this essence, for Him and me to be as one, in adhesion as one. If I want to attain this attitude, just as He relates to the Kli, I need to relate to the Kli, and I need to restore, rebuild the Kli, because it's broken in my eyes. In my eyes, these are all separate egoists but in the Creator's eyes, they are not, the Creator looks at humanity, and from His vantage point, all of these people, they are in complete correction. For them, for Him, they are all in Gmar Tikkun, so I need to gradually come to the state where these qualities are revealed in me towards the group first, and then towards all humanity, that outside of myself, everyone is corrected, everyone is in complete, total state of correction., And I look for how the Creator relates to them, and then I relate to them in the same way. If I do this, I become like Him, I have no other example, no other model to compare it to other than His relationship to the Kli, with the Kli. Then at this point, what is He, who is He, what are His qualities? According to His attitude towards the environment, I relate the same way, I act the same way.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:08:39) The Creator is not nearby?

M. Laitman: What does it mean, not nearby? He is not within me at all, and the doctors, no matter how many surgeries they had, they couldn't find Him within me either. So, what I'm trying to say is that between the first point and the second point in this line, this is your entire work in the group. That's where your work is, and that's what Baal HaSulam talks about in the article, Freedom of Will, The Freedom. How will a person know that he is already corrected? Well, he is already corrected, we're not going to talk about that, there are other methods of testing, checking that.

But to the extent that a person becomes similar to the Creator, to the extent that he's similar, he's corrected. He can measure, again, only with respect to his attitude to the group. All of our measurements, you know, we cannot measure the light, even in the wisdom of Kabbalah, we can only measure the light within the Kli. To the extent that the Kli is similar to the light, I can judge the light, so to speak. The light in and of itself has no measure, no level, only as the Kli changes. We can experience the light: Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, there are millions of various other degrees as well. But if the Kli decides, you know, the Creator fills the vessel but then the Kli decides, I don't feel you here, I want to feel you this way or that way. This is a strictly personal feeling, I would say even more – the measure of Kli's correction evokes in us the sensation of the Creator, the Creator, Himself.

We feel Him only within our own corrected qualities, those people who know about what happens when the device that conducts electricity works, right? The device only checks the reaction of the device, just as now when we hear. We don't hear the sound that's outside of me, we hear only the reaction of the inner drum, of the eardrum to the rejection of this sound when we come into balance, right? We hear the reaction to the outside influence, the outside trigger. These are all the same laws in all the worlds, and the same thing is true in the spiritual measurement of the Creator. How do I measure Him? To the extent that the screen is corrected, to have the greater desire, greater Aviut that it can service. To that extent it bestows, it can resist the upper light, keep the upper light from entering. Then receiving it for the sake of the Creator, not for its own sake – what does it mean for the sake of the Creator? It means for others, for the sake of others, we're going to talk more about this.

As a result, it turns out, we're always measuring our own inner corrected qualities, and with respect to those qualities, we say we are similar to the Creator. The Creator has this form. The Creator is always changing, what does it mean the Creator is changing? The screen, to the extent that it can manifest this quality of the light, the Creator comes through in that light and that's how we measure, like any other measuring device. In this way, the attainment of the upper world is not any different from this world. Our world, just as the upper world, and our world – there is no other world, either. Our world doesn't exist, just as the other worlds don't exist. There is the light that exists that we measure with respect to our own internal corrected qualities, and we judge according to those internal corrected qualities. That's why we say the picture of the Creator, what does it mean? What my inner corrected qualities draw on the screen. Maybe I didn't answer the question. How was it formulated?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:14:14) How can a person know that he is corrected?

M. Laitman: Precisely to the extent that he can clearly see in his screen how the light manifests in his corrected qualities, against the light which are one and the same, and he measures. That's why he is able to measure his corrected qualities against the uncorrected. He knows the 620 qualities, he knows which ones are corrected and at which level each of those qualities are. He creates this picture, like a spectral picture, all 620 qualities and how each of those qualities is corrected to what extent. And those corrected qualities, they paint for him by the will to receive that's behind all of these 620 qualities. It creates, paints for him this picture that we call the world, because the world itself does not exist. The world is a measure of the Creator's revelation and concealment, depending on our qualities, which are either corrected or uncorrected.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:15:54) How can I see the relationship of the environment as love? If those are the corrected or uncorrected qualities of mine, meaning, does it mean – it means that I see these relations inside of me because other than me there is no one?

M. Laitman: I'm not sure I understood the question, how can I see the Creator in my relationship with others? If I begin to relate to the friends in my group and together with them, jointly, with the goal of attaining similarity with the Creator. What does it mean to attain the Creator, it means to become similar to Him. Just as I explained just now: we measure the Creator in accordance with our own inner correction. To that extent, we feel Him, so rephrase the question. I want the Creator's revelation, meaning, I want to be corrected to such an extent that in all of my qualities I will be equal to Him. Rephrase what needs to be done and you will see how it can be perhaps even opposite to your, your initial wishes. Just as a child can scream, I want something, but when you rephrase, you might realize that it's not even, it's not something that you want at all.

So, once you realize correctly what it is that you want: I want to be like the Creator, similar to the Creator, in what? What are the Creator's qualities? Full, complete, bestowal. Now, try to act in such a way in your thoughts, not physically, don't try to physically start bestowing. But in your thoughts, start acting this way towards the friends in the group. Try to relate to them in this way from within yourself towards them, and you will see how suddenly in these qualities, you will begin to feel the manifestation of this governing upper force. Then it begins to work in a way that will make you see how they – whether they want to or not, automatically, willingly, unwittingly. They're all existing under the control of this one governing force.

The whole problem in Kabbalah, and Kabbalists don't want to decode the definitions in order not to scare people away. But the whole problem is in the proper decoding of these things because if they do, then you'll find that you're standing before a wall. You're going to feel that, oh, no, I don't want this; that's why they confuse you with all these different definitions, you know, to become adhesion, adhere to the Creator, Oh, that sounds nice, I'd like that, oh, ascend the degrees of the upper worlds, oh, yeah, that's sounds nice too! But if you translate it to the language of your own inner qualities, you will see truly what you're staring at, you'll see that there is nowhere to run. This is the only way to act, and that's called the short path, but not everyone can handle it. That's why we say that it needs to be offered to people gradually. As Rambam says, When we deal with the children and women and with slaves, these are the three levels of egoistic desires, those who are not yet prepared. It's talking about us – we are the women, the children, and the slaves. The men, the male quality, Gever, from the word Hitgaber, Hitgabrut, those who have the screen, Masach, they're called men Those who do not have the screen, they're called children, women, or slaves; that's why it says there that for women, children, and slaves, this is revealed. This work is revealed of man upon himself, it's revealed gradually, to the extent that despite the suffering, they are capable of giving, exerting their effort, and moving forward, advancing.

M. Laitman: (01:21:00) But if we truly revealed it with naked language, so to speak. First of all, nobody would want it because we're all in our primordial ego; second of all, we would say that it's impossible because even if you say, yes, I want to, and then what? You can't even imagine what needs to be done, that's why if you give a person something to do, you put them in a group and in an environment. With the help of this environment and the study, he begins to gradually draw upon himself the surrounding light, Ohr Makif. Ohr Makif gradually begins within himself the rudiments, the fundamentals of Bina, though they begin to reveal on him. We have them now already, but with the help of the light, they gradually begin to sprout. A person suddenly begins to feel that the bestowal truly is salvation. That it's exiting into a new state, it's rising above our current existence. When he begins to think in such a way, when he has the sparks of Bina, the starting point of Bina, he is becoming to – he's getting the ability to suffer, to experience pain for the attainment of such upper degrees.

A person is called that he is acquiring such qualities, such opportunities to serve, and what do you do? You continue forward into that degree he has to reveal them. So Kabbalists don't really wish to directly interpret their thoughts, their determinations, but do it in such ways as to not to scare a person. The work is simple and hard, if you put it against the ego, it's impossible because you immediately begin to measure. You awaken this measurement that this is how I am and I'm supposed to be another way. And it's impossible, it's truly impossible; if a person thinks that he can change himself to throw himself up to the other side of the barrier. Then it's impossible because the light does it, we're not doing it by ourselves. In the relationship between us and how the Creator is revealed, how He is embodied, like I'm telling everyone right now. Begin to search the Creator in everybody around you, in the relationship between you. Because in essence, you're searching for Him, you're searching for Him, and you want Him to be revealed in your nice attitude, in your pleasant attitude to others. And when through those relationships the Creator is revealed, His presence corrects you. You wish to resemble Him, which is why you don't ever think that we need to correct it ourselves because then it's going to appear to us as impossible except for this way, where the light that returns, corrects the Kli, corrects the vessel.

Question (Citrin): (01:25:05) We always say that we have 620 qualities or desires that we need to correct. We say that after correcting 620 desires, we come to, Love your friend as yourself. What are these qualities or desires, or are we always working?

M. Laitman: What qualities, what desires do we have out of these 620 qualities, 612, 613? Well, what will it give you now, the knowledge that you have inside of your body a certain organ that is responsible for the exuding or secretion of some hormone, whether doctors know it or they don't, what will it give you? It will not give you anything, i n the same way, it will not give us anything, the knowledge of some special desires that are out of these 613 desires. We will learn them and how to practice them, these 620 desires will begin to reveal in me when I begin to feel them outside of me. That vessel the Creator created consists of the 620 parts; when I begin to properly align and build my correct relationships to these different desires, then the Creator will reveal Himself through them. And before that, they're not in me, and what does it mean that in me I begin to formulate them? I'm only a part of this general quality that is correctly relating to all the other 620 parts or desires.

620 desires are outside of us, and each of us, we're only parts standing behind these 620 desires through which we relate to one another, is it clear? So, it means if we have a mutual, a general body, we have a mutual Partzuf. The only thing we have to correct is our relations, and because I'm adding, connecting myself to this general Kli, it's as if I'm acquiring it. It becomes mine, you have yours, his, he's got his, but all of these 620 desires, they're mutual. But individual is because this is how I relate to him, this is how you relate to them, this is how he relates to them. So, it then comes that there are 620 points or dots into which the Kli broke, the vessel broke. These points are shatters of the screen that was gluing all of these parts together. I'm afraid to speak too much, I'm gonna confuse you. More questions, someone over there? Oh, he always has questions, anybody else? No, okay, speak, you have 20 more minutes.

Question (Citrin): (01:28:59) What we're talking about here? In this group, can we talk in the way that you're talking to us now?

M. Laitman: Speak. Am I allowed to speak in external groups in the way that I'm speaking to you now? You can, today you can, but do not pressure and stress on people. We will practice this attitude now. We will speak more about it and we'll cook in these articles. But in the virtual lessons, we will not speak about that, back in the virtual lessons, we will study again the wisdom of Kabbalah. Then we'll gather again and have to go through these states again. These are internal states of a person, we can't hammer them every time, constantly. He can go through various states, closer, farther, better or worse. But the group itself has to be aligned, coiled in such a way where everyone feels this awakening and is drawn closer. You can speak to anyone, you can pass it to your students.

Question (Citrin): (01:30:58) Why is dissemination more effective than serving?

M. Laitman: Dissemination is much more effective than service, meaning external dissemination versus internal service of the group. What does it mean, more effective? Internal work in the group is my internal work; internal service of the group is the same as mine. But dissemination is good in the way that you participate directly with what the Creator desires. If you go to dissemination in order to bring to people the knowledge of the Creator and to align them to Him, to lift them up. To raise them from the degree of the creature to the degree of the Creator, then you are then becoming a direct representative and you no longer represent your egoistic, I, – that I'm working with others in order to get something. Even though you may have these thoughts, you become an extension of His idea, of His desire, which is why this work is the most blessed. It may not be the most grateful one on the corporeal plane, and it does not replace the work in the group. But without it, you cannot advance, you have to practice on others, and if you want to resemble others, you have to do it, how else?

In that, you become His conduit, what does it mean, conduit, through you, He is revealed. It means a representative from the Creator, a Baruch from Odessa! In the group, it's something completely different – we will speak about that as well, the freedom of will. In the group, it's something completely different, the work in the group, we've spoken about it so much. This is an internal agreement between one another that we all take upon ourselves the commitment to relate to one another in a fully corrected vessel, that's it. This has to be, this has to show our internal relation to one another, not even externally or through words, and not in action. Try to do it as much as possible in our internal work. That my constant relation to the friends, my yearning to the Creator will pass through them. For me to constantly feel that I am together with them in such a way that together inside we give the Creator a place to be amongst us, to be between us. Because the screen that we have to build, we have to build between us, between all the broken parts of the vessel that we have to glue together into one whole vessel is built by the screen. The screen is the glue, and the Creator is in the screen, not in the individual parts but between them. What is called in the reflected light, the fulfillment of the vessel, Masach and Ohr Hozer, the returning light.

Question (Citrin): (01:35:46) [Bad connection] Create an intention under the common Kli of Adam, does this work of my intention go towards the correction of the Kli?

M. Laitman: When you correct yourself, you correct yourself within all other souls. You, in that – how to say – create a starting point to have already a corrected point. And in such a way you bring them closer, unconsciously for them, but you bring them closer to the Machsom, to the barrier. So, imagine if we will begin to correctly adapt and relate to one another, how will we be able to bring each other closer? How will you allow me, if you prepare correctly to push you forward and how much the Creator waits for it! And all that is necessary is our agreement, because the light brings all the corrections.
