Reading: (00:20) Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 1. Part 1.Inner Observation. Chapter 10. #35
Chapter Ten
The entire substance that is attributed to the emanated being is the will to receive. Any addition in it is attributed to the Emanator.
35) Know that the will to receive in the emanated being, it has been clarified that it is its vessel. Know also that it is all the general substance attributed to the emanated being. It follows that all that exists besides it is attributed to the Emanator. End of source text Twice
M. Laitman: Yes, there are no questions about this, again,
M. Laitman: All right, we have a question from Petah Tikva.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:52) How should we understand this topic of something that's attributed to the emanated? We learned that everything the Creator created, also the will to receive, so why do we say it's attributed to the emanated being?
M. Laitman: It means that in the desire to receive that appears, we identify that it comes the existence from absence. Therefore we say that it comes from the emanated, because everything else comes from the Emanator.
Student: What does it mean with respect to our attitude to reality attributed to the emanated being?
M. Laitman: It means that what we attribute to ourselves is only the desire to receive, and besides it, everything comes from the Creator.
Student: When the will to receive changes for example, something changes in it, who do we attribute that to?
M. Laitman: We attribute it to the Creator as He changes in us desires, foundations, and that's how we receive reality.
Student: So, what can a person say… about what can a person say this is “I” in this attitude?
M. Laitman: For the time being no, he hasn't done anything yet. He hasn't received or felt that all this comes from the Creator yet.
Student: So, let's say he feels that something has changed in the will to receive, and he says “this came from the Creator, this changed by the Creator.” So, what is “he” here? The substance?
M. Laitman: Also, no. The Creator, by moving him through all kinds of states, He gives him also to feel or understand that this comes to him from above, from the Creator.
Student: So, I'm going back to the first question. What does it mean that the will to receive is attributed to the created being?
M. Laitman: The desire to receive is attributed to the created being because that's the entire matter of the created being to begin with. And all the rest that happens with this matter, that which a person feels within this matter, identifies himself in such a way, that comes from the Emanator.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (05:03) I want to continue the scrutiny. How is our perception of reality attributed to the Emanator? How do I change my perception of reality?
M. Laitman: All that you feel, you feel in your desire to receive. And all that you feel comes from the Creator, necessarily so, because there's none else besides Him. And what you need to do is what we learned.
Student: What does it mean that there's no one besides Him? How do I clarify my relationship to the Creator through that? What does it mean in my perception of reality?
M. Laitman: That's what we need to scrutinize now. What exactly belongs to the created being? Can we say it that way and determine such? These are things that we will learn.
Question (Turkiye 1): (06:20) What kind of connection or prayer allow a connection between what's attributed to the emanated being, or to the Creator, and what's attributed to the Ten? How to connect these two things?
M. Laitman: The Creator is the upper root, which determines and enlivens the whole of creation, the created beings. And the created beings are the consequence of this. And they have a reality that is revealed, which they need to identify within it the force of the Creator and to identify with Him.
Question (Kyiv 1): (07:24) The upper root of the Creator, the nature, the source for the creation of the will to receive, it's separate from the all-to-receive, from the created being. So, how can we be connected to Him, where on the one hand we depend on Him entirely, and on the other hand we're separate from Him?
M. Laitman: We are not disconnected from Him. On the contrary, we must discover how connected we are to our root with the Creator, with the upper force, and how we can come closer to Him, and by revealing Him each time as our root.
Student: Can the will to receive discover its own root from its own nature?
M. Laitman: No. That's just one side of it. You can only discover one against the other. That's why we must study the Creator in order to understand the created beings.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (08:55) It says that all that exists beside the will to receive is attributed to the Emanator. What does that mean?
M. Laitman: That the Creator created the desire to receive existence from absence, and that is the entire matter of creation, and all that happens with this created being comes from the Emanator, from the Creator. And that's how we need to relate to what's happening.
Student: Can we say that if a thought comes up in me to bestow to the friends, to pray for the friends, it's not the will to receive, it's from the Emanator?
M. Laitman: Yes, everything that comes from the will to receive is from the emanated, and all that he does, all those actions that are done with the emanated are the actions of the Emanator.
Student: When the emanated being feels the desire, wants only to receive, can he make any actions to increase the desire to bestow?
M. Laitman: Yes, that we need to learn, the extent in which, in which direction, and when, under which conditions we can use the desire to receive and desire to bestow so they are seemingly in us, at our service.
Question (Florida): (10:54) He writes at the beginning of item 35 that, no, that the will to receive and the emanated being, it has been clarified that it is its vessel. What is the created being then? How is it separate? How is it different from its will to receive?
M. Laitman: In nothing. The entire desire to receive is the created being, and besides him, there's nothing in the created being, only the desire to receive. And in it, he begins to identify all that the Creator bestows to him. And besides the desire to receive, he truly doesn't need anything. If he relates to himself in such a way, then he begins to learn the phenomena in the desire to receive, and through the desire to receive, he connects to the Creator. And then, by learning the relations with him and the Creator, he learns about the created being, about himself. And that's how he actually learns about all of creation.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (12:45) When a person observes creation, he sees forms clothed in matter. What should we attribute to the form clothed in matter? The Emanator or the emanated being?
M. Laitman: Of course, this is what happens in the emanated, but it comes to him from the Emanator.
Student: So, what will advance a person to attribute all the forms he sees to the Emanator?
M. Laitman: It will advance him to understanding the Emanator.
Student: Relative to himself, he needs to separate the substance and the forms that clothe in it. Does it help?
M. Laitman: Yes, then that helps him. Then he can identify what is in the Emanator, what he's receiving from the Emanator, and how the Emanator, by that, builds his matter.
Student: The pleasure that the emanated being feels, he feels it out of the forms that clothe in it, that's the essence of the pleasure?
M. Laitman: Also, yes.
Question (W Heb 1): (14:10) It says here, the will to receive in the emanated being, is there something else in the emanated being besides the will to receive?
M. Laitman: No.
Student: So what does it say that it's a will to receive in the emanated being?
M. Laitman: Because that's all the matter of the emanated. That's how he wrote, that's how he just went over it.
Student: It says in the end that the rest belongs to the Emanator. What is the rest?
M. Laitman: All the rest, besides the desire to receive, which is all the matter of the created being, what the created being feels, by which he changes, which influences him, bestows upon him, it all comes to him from the Emanator and does not belong to the emanated being. The emanated being just is impressed by it.
Student: I want to understand. They define for us the boundary of the work. A person has to understand what are the things that he grasps and belong to the will to receive, and what is the circle outside of it with which you don't work, or you don't need to work, or we work with that as well.
M. Laitman: The created being feels what comes to him, he needs to identify that it comes to him from the Emanator, and against that, he can operate, enact. That's what you can answer about this.
Question (W MAK): (16:17) How can we reveal the whole potential of matter that relates to creation? Should we attach this matter to the Creator, or should we attach everything that is in the Creator? How the potential of the matter of creation can be revealed in us, and how to connect it to the Emanator?
M. Laitman: We will learn that. It's still early. But in essence, when we feel, learn the desire to receive, within that we rise to the Creator. And we can join Him, adhere to Him, and connect with Him, be poured onto Him. That's the result of our spiritual work, of what He wants from us.
Question (Revadim): (17:23) You said that the light departs if you go back to receiving in the vessel of reception, which is the greatest transgression. So, what vessels were given to Kabbalists so they can prevent that state? And is there a connection between that and the obligation to be married and pay tithing?
M. Laitman: No, no, no. Between all the changes a person can do, there's just one thing. The extent to which he truly yearns out of his nature to connect to the Emanator. Only that, for the time being, impacts his state.
Question (MAK 11): (18:24) You said that the created being connects to the Creator through his will to receive. How can he connect through the will to receive with the will to bestow?
M. Laitman: Those two desires are connected between us and between us and the Creator. Hence, through this desire to adhere to the Creator. The Creator can influence the desire to bestow, He can influence us, and that's our work, our desire. It is seemingly one step of that string that connects between us and the Creator, but it's under our control, in our hands.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (19:30) I can understand that the created being is only a desire, the light works on the desire, and develops it until it inverts its form from the will to receive to the will to bestow, until it is adhered to him completely, but everything comes from the light, or what the Creator does to the created being, that you can understand. But in this process, what is the participation of the created being? It's not there at all.
M. Laitman: The created being needs to change in order for the upper light that comes to him will work upon him to the measure in which the created being will turn himself towards the upper light.
Student: So, the created being has a desire from its own to turn itself towards light?
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: And that thing is also the will to receive alone?
M. Laitman: It's the desire to receive. For the time being, it's the desire to receive. And the created being wants to receive, he wants to come closer to the Creator, he wants to receive, to take on a new form, but all of this is still in the desire to receive of the created being.
Student: For the time being. And at the end of the process?
M. Laitman: At the end of the process, we will know.
Student: Is there something from himself that is not the Creator that he's doing?
M. Laitman: Yes, yes, of course. By him going to receive the light within himself, the desire to receive in him changes and becomes adhered to the light. And then they work together, both the created being and the Creator, together. Moving forward together.
Question (Hungarian-Polish): (21:36) We read the will to receive abundance is the vessel. Do we need any other vessel?
M. Laitman: No, there is no other vessel. The Kli is the desire to receive. For what? For that which comes from the Creator. What comes from the Creator, we call it light. And what's in the created being, what the created being feels, the desire to receive, what is in the created being is his entire Kli.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (22:44) The act of connection, connecting the Kli, the vessel, is that something that comes from the Emanator, or comes from us, from the created beings, the emanated beings?
M. Laitman: Everything comes from the Creator. He is the beginning of it all.
Student: So, what is the role of the desire, and what do we add to the action of connection?
M. Laitman: The role of the desire is that since it's the desire to receive, it can receive more or less, it can turn itself under different conditions that he wants to be connected to the Creator with, and more. The entire wisdom of Kabbalah, until the created being, by all kinds of efforts he makes, he reaches equivalence of form with the upper light by wanting to bestow to the Creator like the Creator bestows to him, and that's how they reach Dvekut, adhesion.
Student: What can we say that the awakening, the yearning, what can we say that it comes from the created being, and when do we say that it's from the Creator?
M. Laitman: On behalf of the created being, the desire to bestow comes towards the Creator, and when does this happen? When the created being receives bestowal from above, from the Creator and activates Himself in such a manner. That's it.
Question (Kyiv 1): (24:42) Recently, more than once, you spoke about how the created being turns Himself towards the Creator and can determine how much connection He will receive from the Creator. Here in TES, we learn the words of Baal HaSulam, who described to us the upper system. On the other hand, there's also the connection between us and the Ten. How, throughout the reading of these words, can we aim ourselves to receive more or less connection with the Creator?
M. Laitman: From what we read, you need to understand that the most important mission for us is to clothe maximally on the desire to bestow, which we will learn later, we'll call it the reflected light. In that state, we will feel the Creator, sense Him, and adhere to Him. Meaning, to the exten in which He will be revealed as bestowing upon us, to the same extent we need to reveal ourselves, disclose ourselves as bestowing upon Him. How is this expressed? In a very simple way. From the Creator we need to receive the desire to bestow, and that desire to bestow, we need to aim it to the Creator. And that's how it will turn out that in such a state, we are analog, we're adapted to the Creator. The Creator's light bestows upon us, bestows to us. And we, on our behalf, by receiving the light, we bestow to the Creator. And that's how it works out that the Creator fills us, and that's His purpose. Whilst we, in our turn, receive light from the Creator despite our desire to not receive. In such a way, we are adhering to the Creator.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (27:49) That's a fundamental question. What is the will to receive, actually?
M. Laitman: The desire to receive in the created being is the desire to receive the upper light which feels that comes to Him from the Creator, and receives it, the upper light receives it within His vessel called the desire to receive with the intenion of the desire to bestow. And by that, the created being and the Creator begin to come closer to one another according to their form. When they are similar, the Creator only bestows. He has nothing of the desire to receive. The created being is the desire to receive.
It has nothing of the desire to bestow. But by the created being inverting himself from the desire to receive 100% that is from the beginning of creation until he receives something from the Creator from zero to infinity. That's actually the action of the Creator by which he comes closer, makes himself similar to the Creator.
Student: Is it correct to say that the entire process you described is only a matter of feeling of the created being?
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: Meaning, what the Creator created is a feeling, that's what He created?
M. Laitman: Yes. A desire to enjoy.
Student: A person's feeling constantly changes. What's the difference between reaching bestowal, which is I guess a new feeling, if everything the Creator created is a desire to bestow and to be in bestowal, so it's a new feeling, versus if tomorrow morning they'll invent a pill and a person will take it and feel that he wants to be in bestowal. If it's all a feeling, I can understand.
M. Laitman: Because all of that is in order to receive, so you will have it better. That's why the created being is capable of doing actions and to advance that way.
Student: I'll ask a little differently. Is there a difference, a substantial difference between in order to receive and in order to bestow, except for the feeling of the created being in the end?
M. Laitman: Yes. There's also a difference in the action itself.
Student: What is the action? What action can I make before the Creator?
M. Laitman: I can receive, and I can not receive, and I can give, bestow, and all of that I can do also in order to receive myself, and also in order to bestow to others.
Student: When a Kabbalist reaches the intention to bestow, what changes in him? The feeling? That's the only thing that changes in him or something else?
M. Laitman: Nothing else changes. And all together in creation, only feeling.
Student: Can you come to this feeling of in order to bestow? In other ways? I don't know, chemical, physical, chemical.
M. Laitman: Thousand and one means you can attribute to it, just that you will receive a sum of it, the end of it, a consequence in which now you're going to receive everything for the Creator. That has to be the end.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (32:40) Following the questions on this, what turns an impression of the will to receive, different kinds of impressions, good and bad, to a request to be a bestower?
M. Laitman: The created being decides that he doesn't want to receive in order to receive, as the Creator created him, and searches how he can be similar to the Creator, which is called to receive in order to bestow, such that the result will be bestowal. And by this, he turns to the Creator and asks Him, “Give me the strength to be able to also be similar to you. As you are enjoying from your actions.
I too want to be in enjoy, in the same way from my action, like you. That's called that we will be in the same form, both you and me. That form is called Dvekut, adhesion, where both the Creator and the created being, both, give to one another and receive from one another.
Student: So the starting point is when the created being decides that it doesn't want to receive in order to receive.
M. Laitman: Yes, that's in the beginning.
Student: What creates that trigger for the created being to decide that it doesn't want to receive anymore?
M. Laitman: That he feels that only in such a way the Creator relates to him. Only in giving to Him.
Student: Any other form of feeling?
M. Laitman: He can't learn it from any other form.
Student: What does it mean?
M. Laitman: The created being can learn from the Creator only the form of bestowal. And in order to learn the form of bestowal, he needs to be as close as possible to the Creator, and as close as possible to his action of bestowal, with the intention of learning from it to be myself or to be himself a bestower.
Student: So what makes him disqualify any other form of impression and to only learn from the Creator how to be a bestower?
M. Laitman: That's what this form of connection he has with the Creator causes him. Where the Creator bestows upon him with all His might, with all His qualities, with all His heart, with all His desires. And then the created being receives this, out of the feeling of his heart, and becomes a bestower.
Student: Meaning, we have to look for the gap between himself and what he feels is coming from the Creator?
M. Laitman: Coming from the Creator he feels because he has a relation towards the Creator. Where the Creator is giving him and the created being receives from Him. With the same vessels that he opened towards connection with the Creator he also feels that he just needs to receive. In truth on behalf of the Creator he doesn't need anything else. He just wants to receive from the Creator. Because by that he brings Him pleasure.
Student: Meaning, the created being has to learn how to truly receive from the Creator, otherwise he cannot give Him any pleasure.
M. Laitman: That's why it's called the wisdom of Kabbalah, our entire study. It's the only thing the created being needs to learn and observe.
Student: Actually to transfer the center of gravity from itself, feeling himself has the will to receive, to the Creator who wants to give him.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (38:04) I still don't understand, if the created being is only operated on or activated, passive, how can he become active?
M. Laitman: He's operated by the Creator in order to receive. That's how he feels. We learned this in the four phases of direct light, yes? To the extent to which the direct relations the Creator has towards the created being becomes in the created being reflected light, where the created being wants to bestow to the Creator. It's not that he adds to his desire to receive in order to receive more from the Creator. Rather, he understands that in order to bestow to the Creator, he must be similar to Him.
Student: But still, it's a reaction, a response. The Creator begins to bestow, to return reflected light. It's still his own reaction.
M. Laitman: Right. Because the desire to receive is opposite to the desire to bestow of the Creator.
Student: So, what is the beginning of the work of a person here, forever?
M. Laitman: That he feels that difference.
Studen mm t: That difference comes as a result of the influence of the Emanator to him.
M. Laitman: And from the matter of the created being.
Student: So it's simply a reaction. It's not something that comes from himself.
M. Laitman: No.
Student: So what's the inversion here? Instead of receiving, he feels bestowal, it is a different reaction.
M. Laitman: That's what awakens him.
Student: So what is the wisdom of Kabbalah? What are we learning? There's a matter, there's a substance, like in a lab. There's a scientist, a Creator that just works on this matter in all kinds of ways.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: And this matter feels these forms?
M. Laitman: And this form, he feels. And what we learn, who are we learning it from? Who are we feeling it from? How do we need, through our feelings, change in order to be closer to the Giver?
Student: We who wish to change, it's not from ourselves. It's a reaction of the Emanator to us.
M. Laitman: Yes and no.
Student: Where's the “no?”
M. Laitman: In the beginning, everything does the Creator. But from the stage, the fourth stage, as we learn, the fourth phase, we have the four phases of direct light. In the fourth phase, we already change and perform an action on behalf of ourselves.
Student: And this action by ourselves is not a result of the action of the Emanator on us?
M. Laitman: A result. It is a result of that which the creative being or the Emanator operates upon us.
Question (W Almaty): (41:40) We yearn to receive, to be similar to the Creator, the quality of bestowal. And by acquiring a certain form of this bestowal, then the goal, our purpose is to reject ourselves from it in order to approach the next form. And if we accelerate this process, we're constantly advancing by acquiring a new form, and we find something new. And accordingly, we are yearning for the Creator. And our focus should be on that, on this acceleration and the understanding that we're not there yet. We haven't made it yet.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: Seemingly, in the Ten, we wish to stop on a certain form, to be in a good relationship and stop. Do we need to fight it, or this is so?
M. Laitman: You don't need to battle it. You just need to observe it and live with it.
Student: As if we're afraid to lose the form that we attained, instead of wanting to reach the next form.
M. Laitman: There's no importance to this, dear. It will take a long time until we get there, to the feeling of the true feeling of the Creator.
Question (ITA 4): (43:36) How can we be open in order to receive everything the Creator wants to give us and then become a bestower? Is that the thought?
Is the thought the correct work, in addition to the work on building a group?
M. Laitman: That is by the bestowal upon our desire, where we want to change him so he will be as much as possible, according to the examples that Baal HaSulam gives us here, and the material before us. This is how he relates to this. It's written in a very laconic way. Actually, item 36, please.
Reader: Number 36, headline: “The will to receive is the first form of every essence.”
Reading: (44:36) Baal HaSulam. "Study of the Ten Sefirot" (TES). Vol. 1. Part 1.Inner Observation. Chapter 9. #36
The will to receive is the first form of every essence. We define the first form as “substance” because we have no attainment in the essence.
36) We perceive the will to receive as an incident and a form in the essence, so how do we perceive it as the substance of the essence? Indeed, it is the same with essences that are near us. We call the first form in the essence by the name “the first substance in the essence” since we have no attainment or perception whatsoever in any substance, as all of our five senses are completely unfit for it. The sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch offer the scrutinizing mind mere abstract forms of “incidents” of the essence, formulating through collaboration with our senses.
For example, if we take even the smallest, microscopic atoms in the smallest elements of any essence, which are separated through a chemical process, they, too, are merely abstract forms that appear that way to the eye. More precisely, we distinguish and discern them by the ways of the will to receive and to be received that we find in them.
Following these operations, we can distinguish and separate these various atoms to the very first matter of that essence. However, even then they would be no more than forces in the essence and not a substance.
Thus, you find that even in corporeality, we have no other way to understand the first matter, except by assuming that the first form is the first matter, which carries all other incidents and forms that follow it. It is much more so in the upper worlds, where tangible and imaginary do not apply. End of Source Text.
Question (CzechSlovak 2): (47:57) Can someone bestow to anybody except for the Creator? Can you bestow to someone else besides the Creator?
M. Laitman: Yes, by all of us being connected together, we go together from state to state, even if only in our world, so each one can bestow upon the other. Likewise, in spirituality, each one has a restriction, a screen on his will to receive. He can bestow through these instruments on all the ones around him.
Question (W ITA): (49:27) With the will to receive, can we feel the upper root, the Creator, or only if we change our will to receive? How does our relation change?
M. Laitman: When we reach the same form of will to receive that appears in us, and we will discover in this a connection with the Creator as well. It may be small, but we'll already have a connection. This is how we will learn.
Question (W PT 6): (50:13) How to feel the light that the Creator sends to us? How to develop sensitivity to that light?
M. Laitman: We need to try to want to clothe in such a desire by which we can rise to the degree of bestowal that is above us. Right? The nearest one above us. And to try from it to bestow onwards to the Creator.
Student: What is that point of bestowal? It's all kinds of deeds, like what we understand towards the Ten right now. That's what we're talking about?
M. Laitman: That too. Yes.
Student: I feel there's a lot more depth in…
M. Laitman: So, keep it. It will come. It will come. For now, we're learning in this simple way.
Question (W Unity): (51:34) It's written that the desire of the Creator is the matter of creation. And the will to bestow, what is that?
M. Laitman: It's the relationships between the Creator and the created being. Or the Creator and the created beings. Are you ready to work with it?
Student: A person needs to understand what he wants?
M. Laitman: Yes. We have to number our desires and scrutinize which desires bring us closer to the Creator and which ones push us away from Him and what to do with them. And this way, by gradually changing, we'll go from one degree to the next.
Question (Hadera 1): (52:44) When we connect with the friends, do we actually uplift to a more pure place in our vessel? So, in that way, we can feel the light and the more...
M. Laitman: Yes. Because in order to connect with a friend, you have to diminish yourself, increase, exalt the friend, relate to the friend as greater. And as a result, you too change, of course. Your vessel becomes more refined. And then you receive from the Creator more bestowal.
Student: That's called an ascent?
Why M. Laitman: This is called an ascent.
Question (W Spa): (53:42) If the Creator is entirely bestowal and clothes in my friends, anull ggg also all those other forms exist in my will to receive. So, how can I incorporate in the desire to bestow of the friend and not look at it as the will to receive for herself?
M. Laitman: Do it nevertheless, and you'll see how much the Creator changes you.
Question (MAK 3): (54:34) Is the connection with the Creator my private feeling of reality, or is there a true state that doesn't belong to my feelings?
M. Laitman: It is your personal state.
Question (Moscow): (54:56) At the end of 36 it was written that in the upper worlds the tangible and imaginable doesn't exist there. So what is private providence?
M. Laitman: When we get to it, you'll begin to feel, you'll begin to receive, and you'll work with it.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (55:29) You mentioned that the created being has to learn how to bestow from the Creator.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: How does he learn that?
M. Laitman: By receiving from the Creator bestowal. By this he learns how the bestowal of the Creator operates on the vessels of the created being, his own vessels. And accordingly, he reciprocates that bestowal through the Creator to someone who awakens him.
Student: So the first state is to search how the Creator is bestowing to us, right?
M. Laitman: How the Creator bestows upon us, yes.
Student: What do I search for? What should I try and recognize?
M. Laitman: Try to identify the force of the power of the Creator that is in all the area before us, that connects us together, right? Just as now I'm sitting at a round table with the friends, and we're all thinking about the connection between us. And then it is clear to me that the more we rise in the connection between us, more and more, we will feel the need for the force of the Creator. We'll feel the need for our own forces. When we perhaps clean our senses, in this way we will rise to a higher degree, higher still. The main thing is the connection between us.
Student: The efforts to recognize the Creator's work we do in the Ten.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: To the extent we recognize, so when we see how the Creator works, and it strengthens the connection between us, how can we go to something else to give back to Him? What is that action?
M. Laitman: Perform the same actions toward Him. As He towards you, you towards Him.
Student: What could I do back towards Him?
M. Laitman: You can rise above your will to receive, be more in the will to bestow. You can come closer to your friends, or before you, connect to them in order to give the upper light an opportunity to awaken you, to connect you together. And then you will feel His actions. It will be as actions of the Creator, and in this way you'll advance.
Student: So I give back to the Creator in bestowing by trying to strengthen the connection with the friends, with the intention that it will give Him contentment, that's the action?
M. Laitman: Yes.

M. Laitman: Act of bestowal?
Student: The evil inclination. Who does the evil inclination belong to, that grows into a person?
M. Laitman: To the Creator. Of course, to the Creator. It's also written, “I have created the evil inclination.”
Question (W Moscow 6): (01:00:00) We work between us, we receive the quality of the Creator of bestowal and equalize with Him. And what is that point, the common heart? Just to start everything from the beginning?
M. Laitman: We'll discover it later. We might lose our line of thought.
Question (W Laitin 26): (01:00:51) The upper world is perceived through our feelings. How can we ask the Creator to feel Him in the right way in order to adhere to Him?
M. Laitman: We simply want to feel the connection between us, between the friends, between the groups, the Tens, and that within the connection between us to discover the Creator. That He strengthens us, ties us all together, and in this way we advance more and more toward the center of the connection between us where He Himself is found.
Question (W PT 23): (01:01:57) In the beginning of 36, it's said that the will to receive is perceived in the essence. Indeed, it is the same with the essences that are near us. So, what is our essence, and what are the essences that are near us?
M. Laitman: The will to receive, that's our entire essence. All of the wisdom of Kabbalah clarifies to us all the feelings, the spiritual feelings, on the background of our will to receive, so we will have something with which to discern, to feel, to understand it, connect with it. This is why what we do feel is our will to receive. This is from the beginning of the book, the study of the ten Sefirot; and then, everything that happens in it. With this, I conclude the lesson, and let's hope until tomorrow.
