Excerpts from the sources: “Work with Faith Above Reason”. #41

Reader: Hello friends. In the first part of the lesson, we will watch a recorded lesson from the 29th of November 2020, on the subject of “Work With Faith Above Reason.” Please.

Reader: Hello, we are in a lesson in the topic of “Work With Faith Above Reason.” We’ll  read selected excerpts, continuing from excerpt number 43. You can find the study material on Kabbalah TV and also on the Arvut system, you should click on the book icon in the top menu. Selected questions will be asked during the lesson. Our topic is the “Work in Faith Above Reason.”

M. Laitman: (00:48) We learn from the wisdom of Kabbalah that Kabbalists discovered for thousands of years what is the reason for creation, the purpose of creation, and how it evolves, according to what laws, and how it unfolds and comes to us. And ultimately, we see that the Creator broke, shattered this one Kli that He created, and many different desires, foreign desires, were made, and they're foreign to each other. It's all the shattering of a single desire, so every piece feels itself as individual, as separate on its own and different from others and rejecting the others instinctively, and they too reject Him. And that's how we evolve. Humanity evolved further and further through still,  vegetative, animate, and human; and human beings developed by these growing desires, desires that are demonstrating their independence and remoteness from each other and oppositeness to each other. And so, on every level of still, vegetative, animate and speaking, we have a rejection force and an attraction force. In the still, vegetative and animate, it is natural, it allows all these levels to exist instinctively, meaning by nature, independent of any of those individual elements. On the human level, there's also a pulling force that happens in natural proximity, such as between the genders and so on, but actually not really between humans. So the Creator, the general force that shattered the collective Kli, the collective desire, to many desires, it makes sure that these desires also grow and learn how they are opposite and different and remote from each other. And ultimately, they discover that they need and are dependent on each other. And when they join each other, that has a lot of benefit, in addition to their remoteness as well. And we can see that even in our time, we know that as beneficial as connection can be between people, nations, countries, we still put in a lot of effort, a lot of power, a lot of means, instead of building a collective life and collaborating, we put it into war and destruction and trying to cancel out each other. So, when you look at humanity and how everyone is playing this game of keeping separate from each other instead of attaining the benefit of connection with each other. That's just a shame that people don't realize that this is how a Creator is playing with us. That we have to maintain that negative force, not to cancel it, but rather, as it says, “Love covers all crimes,” that above the minus we bring the plus. And then we put together a system that contains all of the negative force and the positive force, and the good force will cover the bad force, will overpower the bad force, and this way, when we assemble the system, we can enjoy it in full.

M. Laitman: (05:41) And that essentially is the goal of the shattering that happened, to discover how much there are forces latent within us that are good, that are positive. The light excels from darkness. If we don't discover the darkness, we don't really discover the light and all the discernments that exist in the light, and therefore we have to go through all of the bad states, as it is said, “There will be evening and then there will be morning,” meaning day and night, night and day. There is always, love covers all crimes, first of all, there are crimes, then there is connection, and this is our work. And so, we need to assemble such a system in a way that includes both of the opposite forces, and the connection between them won't be a short circuit, like plus and minus that short-circuit each other and cancel out each other. Instead, we need to assemble the current through a resistor. So, there's resistance between the two, and yet they connect. On top of our resistance, the plus and minus build a productive capacity, a productive work, and that is our work, that we stand between the plus and minus. The Creator created the evil inclination, as it says, and then there's the upper light that we draw through our efforts, which is the good inclination, and in between the bad and good inclinations, we exist. Our work, our effort, our labor is there. And so, the system called Adam HaRishon, which the Creator created in this minimal fashion, where it is sustained by His force, we then take that system and fulfill it with our effort, with our capacity, and then the plus and minus, the good force and the bad force, can work together in that system as two opposites - two forces that don't cancel out each other, they only exist one against the other in order to reveal our work in the system of Adam HaRishon, as the light excels from darkness. These two forces work to illuminate all of the light of Ein Sof in that system that was broken due to lack of connections between all the pieces. And when we make the efforts and complete the full quota of the labor in order to connect these forces in us, then we have one collective desire, and there the light appears in full. That's essentially what we discover. Now, the connection happens gradually. Most importantly, we need to see the system in a technical fashion. Why is it good to see it in a technical fashion? Because that is independent of our emotions. Our emotions can really go all the way from plus to minus, from rejection to connection, from hate to love.

And it's a good thing that we go through these fluctuations and changes all throughout the spectrum. But when we keep remembering that we exist in the system of Adam, and that's the whole of nature, and we need to bring it to the right kind of connection, then we are not so dependent on our emotional states. So the mind sustains us, and we engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah, the wisdom of connection. And whatever emotions appear in there, that's on every level there's a different emotion, whether it's plus or minus. Most importantly is that we keep moving forward to a complete connection. And complete connection is called love. So using emotional words, we should say from the love of the created beings to the love of the Creator. That's how we advance. Love of the Creator means the complete love of the whole system, where both the light and the Kli become revealed together in connection, in reciprocity, where one holds the other. And it starts from love of the created beings. And love of the created beings is that we try to somehow come together in the Tens. So we'll try. Let's try each time.

M. Laitman: (11:07) But still, we also have to hold ourselves to the goal. And the goal is to achieve such a connection between us that we won't even feel a difference between us. That our desires, our emotions are all becoming connected to a single emotion, where everyone complements the others, and all the others build and complement each and every one. And that of course, is irrelevant to our bodies. Our bodies belong to the animate level. We're talking about a connection between us on the speaking level, on an emotional level that begins from unfounded hatred. It's unfounded because there's no reason for it other than the fact the Creator created it. And we then need to achieve brotherly love, meaning that we become as one man and one heart. That one heart is what we need. And it'll happen. We don't need to try to take examples from this world, where people here are just conducting power struggles, power games. And especially if we look at all of the relationships between the countries and the diplomats and all that they do, it's this children's play. It looks like children being prideful in the sandbox, who's doing more, and so on. We rather have to look at the goal of life, that we are in a process that is now becoming materialized. We have already gone through many lifetimes together. Thousands of years, if you will, we exist and we reincarnate and keep moving. And there's no chance; there's no coincidence that we are here now. It's all calculated in the system of Adam. And therefore, we have to be together, we have to come to a connection between us. Whoever falls, falls. That too probably is his fate. But we have to try to recognize our system; and all of us, all of us will come to a mutual connection in harmony and love. And love is the strongest connection that we attain. So, love the friend as thyself, and then love thy Lord, which is the Creator. The Creator is the general system that appears, that it is in total. The Creator is the totality. It's the totality of all the souls and their source. That's what becomes revealed, and that is still ahead of us. So now, in the meantime, we need to try to hold that picture as much as we can, and from that picture, we need to relate to whatever incidents we see in life, in the group, in the worldwide Bnei Baruch. And we'll see how the Creator, through this picture, if we see what's happening in humanity, we will further and further understand the plan of creation, the process taking place, and we'll see the Creator's work. And we'll discover Him through all kinds of specific events in humanity, to the point that we see the general providence. And also, don't forget that love, meaning mutual connection, complete connection, where we complement each other, where everyone only sees how He complements the others, that essentially is the state of existence of the collective soul.

Question (Turkiye 2): (16:21) Is the dark condition here our evil inclination? Is this always gradually forming as we reveal and overcome this evil inclination?

M. Laitman: Evolves, meaning unfolds. It doesn't develop. The Creator created a will to receive, then broke it. All the pieces intermingled. That's what we learn through TES in the shattering of the Kli, and then how all those vessels fall from the degree of Atzilut through the degrees of Beria, Yetzira, Assiya, down to the level of this world, and how they mingle, and those who are above fall the most below, and so on. So, these souls that we see today that are surfacing for correction are actually high souls, lofty souls, but they fell deeper, and that's why only now they appear. So, we're going to have to learn this whole process and correct, connect. All right? Did I understand his question correctly? But all the souls have to go through the correction. Everyone has to take what they've got, rise to their place, become connected to the whole system, first through the Ten, which the Creator arranges for us, and the Creator changes all the Tens. You will  see also that perhaps you will suddenly at some point in some state will start finding different connections. You will see it this way or that way, and it's not like you'll see that you are now thinking about it this way, but also the higher providence will start changing things and moving things. It doesn't matter for us. What matters for us is to always aim ourselves to the general connection, the global connection.

Question (Kyiv 1): (18:48) By aiming myself towards connection, you said that between plus and minus, we should establish certain voltage work. What does it mean?

M. Laitman: Well, if you take plus and minus and connect them, you'll get a short circuit, right? Because you can't connect plus and minus, they're opposites. So we have to position between us work, workload, a resistor. If we work together on our nature, then we build between us something we call it exertion effort, where everyone tries to adapt himself to the other. And by trying to do that, we are building between us a minimal system of the Creator. Of the Creator, because I relate to you with love and connection, and you relate to me with love and connection, and every one of us takes a force of bestowal from the Creator and relates to the other that way. And if we build between us, between everyone and the other, we build a minimal Creator, a small Creator, a system that has these bonds, these connections, even love later on. So when we build these little systems between us, right? This is me and you, and we build between us such a system. I work in bestowal towards you, you work in bestowal towards me. Bestowal is already the force of the Creator. We build between us the Creator. This is called, “you have made Me.” And then between each and every one, each and every one, we build these passageways, which are the quality of the Creator between us. So, He is connecting us, and ultimately, when we all connect together this way, this is what's called, “you have made Me.” We build the Creator, and then it appears. So, it appears that, why did He shatter us? So that we discover Him, so that we will feel Him in such a way that we weren't basically created by the Creator, we act, we as if give birth to the Creator. And by that we come to equivalence of form with Him. We come to sympathize with Him, understand Him exactly as He understands us, and that brings complete adhesion.

Question (ITA 3): (21:45) All the contradictions in the world push us towards the Creator,  but is there a contradiction that can bring the Creator to make Him happy?

M. Laitman: Every time you appear before the friend as wanting to connect with Him despite the rejection, despite the rejection, by that you make the Creator happy. We have to understand; we mustn't forget about the force of resistance. Resistance needs to happen, needs to be there. Love covers all crimes. Without crimes, you won't see love. When people are developed, when developed people, when can they come to love? When they discover how opposite and different and in disagreement they are, and yet on top of all of that they build a healthy, conscious attitude towards reality, and that it comes from the Creator and the Creator is between them. They don't each relate what they have to themselves or what the other has to the other. They recognize that what's happening between them, the negative things between them are all created by the Creator in order for them to build the right bond of love, positive connection between them. That's the only way to achieve complete eternal connection.

Question (USA Northeast): (23:51) How important is this current? Is it related to recognition of evil in order to be able to work with this current that we can use in order to feel this state that Rav is talking about?

M. Laitman: I didn't exactly understand your question. If we are in these lessons, in these conversations, like I'm now giving before the actual lesson, and we learn this material, you know and you also feel that from day to day we are getting closer in understanding and feeling to seeing this system that exists between us, and discovering this system is discovering the upper reality, the upper world. And there we'll discover the force that operates in the operated ones, we are the operated ones and He operates in us. And that depends on how much we want to be operated by Him; how much we present ourselves to Him and give ourselves to Him to appear between us. And this way, we as a Kli, we are as a Nukva [female] towards Him, we give ourselves to Him so that He arranges us and fulfills us. That's our work, and it becomes revealed, it becomes apparent in the world as well. Bit by bit in our time the whole world is starting to move closer to this. You'll see more and more such states will appear in the world. Let's hope, they go through without any acceleration, how to say it, acceleration. That they won't go through, let's hope they won't be accelerated by war, but rather by our work.

Question (Heb 10): (26:27) You said in your opening that we have to reveal the darkness in order to reveal the light. What does it mean to reveal the darkness in our work?

M. Laitman: To discover the darkness in our work means that we discover how much we don't want to connect, there is a rejection, there is inability to overcome it, we each say nice words but in practice it doesn't work. That means one's heart and mouth are not the same. In my mouth I can say, I'm in spirituality, I'm connected to others, I love the others, I love the Creator. That's with your mouth, but with your heart I'm not in it yet, and with my heart I can't be in control of it. So, it turns out that with my mouth I can speak, but the heart is in its own place. And so then I have to realize that I can activate the heart only through the Ten, only through the Ten. So I have no choice, that ultimately I have to integrate in the Ten and then feel that my heart begins to work, that they begin to influence me, they begin to change my heart, that I am not in control of it at all - only the Ten, completely. And so I have to be educated to submit myself to really nullify before them so they influence my heart, that's the only way. Then, to the extent that they influence me and my heart changes, then in my heart I begin to feel, first of all, the feeling of connection, the feeling of love, to an extent, to an extent, but still. I’ll  begin to feel that I have a special kind of attitude to the whole of reality, to everyone, to all created beings, and ultimately to the Creator. And in that sensation I'll start discovering the force of the Creator and how He operates me and the others and all of us together, and in this gradual way it will become revealed.

Question (ITA 4): (29:20) You said we need to cover all the negative things in the Ten with love, but can you give an example of such a thing?

M. Laitman: This is what I just said, that if I try, over many years, to achieve something, I begin to fall into despair, and if I don't escape and nevertheless continue, then I ultimately turn to the Ten. I want to annul before them, I have no choice, I see that if I don't integrate in them, I'm going to continue until the end of life this way, until I die, and nothing will come out of that. My egoistic force is pushing me to the Ten, and then I need to do all sorts of actions here in order to integrate in them. So, somehow it starts to work a little bit more, and more, and more, to connect with all of them. The main thing I want is to serve them and help them and do whatever possible, and then I begin to feel after these actions, I begin to feel that the Creator begins to change me, He begins to change me. I begin to feel that He has such a relationship to me, to the point that I begin to want to love, and when I begin to want to love, that's a more advanced stage; so that I now know what connections I need to achieve with my Ten, and also with all the Tens in Bnei Baruch and then with the whole world. Every Ten, the whole world is just ten Sefirot  of one Partzuf. That's all of humanity, all the souls, and this is how I advance. So, my work is therefore to awaken the friends to love, forcefully, even if I'm not attracted to it, and I reject it, and I push it away, and I have no inclination to it, because my heart is a heart of stone. That's actually for people who have a big will to receive, and they have a lot of work, but they also have a big role behind them, waiting for them in the collective soul, and that's why it's very difficult for them to achieve the implementation of these, the realization of these corrections, but afterwards, they reach very high degrees. So I do whatever actions I can to awaken love in the friends, and that can happen in all kinds of ways, not necessarily in talking about it, and this way, this way we advance. Most importantly to invest, to invest and make efforts and help each other. The connection in the Ten is the most important thing. Like Rabash writes, in “Matan Torah,” in “Arvut,” that we save a person from the river. A person falls into the river and he's being thrown a rope or a life buoy in order to be saved, and in this way, we have to do this every day in the Tens. In each and every moment, try to feel that we are in a very big, powerful current. They're trying to sway us away to all kinds of directions, and yet, we make an effort to be more and more connected, to the point that I want the friends to be part of me, that's what I want. And all the friends that will put their parts into me, in this way, we will hold each other and we want to be integrated with each other, all of us together. In this way, we will be able to guard our integration, and according to the power of this integration, we'll discover the Creator. We’ll have a resistance to the integration, and that force of resistance will be our Aviut [coarseness], that will start appearing. Aviut, meaning the resistance to connection, to integration. And by holding onto that integration, we'll discover the force of oneness, which is the Creator, and that is called the revelation of the Creator to the created being. There's practical work in front of us. We are right at the entrance, so we have to really process it well within us and try to realize it.

Question (Tel Aviv 4): (35:38) When the friends raise a prayer in the Ten, a common prayer three times a day, I want to ask if you can tell us what is the correct prayer, what is the correct deficiency to pray for the whole Ten to reach the state where our hearts and our mouths are equal. Can you give us an example?

M. Laitman: I don't have an example for this besides the example of Noam Elimelech, and the articles. Each and every article has a part that you can call a prayer, yes. Try to read that and find it.

Question (Focus Group): (36:26) When we build a system from the broken state to the corrected state, where does love enter into this? What is this thing called love?

M. Laitman: The perfect connection is called love, the ultimate connections, the end of all connections. At the end of each degree where there is a connection, after all the recognition of evil and scrutinies of all kinds, and ultimately you come to some connection, the maximum connection that we can build from a present state is called love. And love needs to be, first of all, love of the created beings, love in the Ten, and from love in the Ten we have to discover the love of the Creator to the Ten. How much in our mutual love, in our connection, in our integration, in our devotion we do all of that for the sake of the revelation of the Creator in us, and to please Him, that He will enjoy from us. And ultimately we really just discover a phenomenon within us. We don't discover anything outside the Kli, but this phenomenon that feels detached completely from our initial will to receive, is entirely built on the will to receive and will to bestow together, as it says, where love covers all crimes, the crimes are built in. We discover them, we correct them, we connect them, we correct them through connection. We connect them through threads of connections to each other, and then we come to the general force of love, and that is called the revelation of the Creator.

Student: So we are building a connection in the current degree. What’s the difference exactly between Creator and love?

M. Laitman: We build within our Kli devotion and connection that is called love between us. It is such an integration that everyone is included in everyone else, to the point that we're capable and ready and wanting and willing, and as much as we are capable of discovering it on our degree. And in this integration which is called the maximum connection that we can achieve, in that connection we discover a mutual feeling called love. Love is not that I love someone and someone else loves me. It's that both of us together discover what is common in our feelings, and that is what we call love. In this common feeling, we discover the cause, let's say, to you and me, which is the Creator.

Question (Focus Group): (39:57) How can a friend who has a stony heart awaken love?

M. Laitman: We don't just have a stony heart. The Creator created Adam HaRishon on the level of an angel, the level of Bina, and He broke him and showed him his matter. By that, as it says, from the ashes you come and to the ashes you go back. So the Creator created him as a creation, which means outside the Creator's degree. He raised him to the degree of Bina. He was in the degree of Bina, the degree of Katnut, infancy. Then he broke and shattered and became integrated with his will to receive, which was at first hidden on the level of Bina. So then it became revealed, that's what's called to the ashes you shall go back, and then we need to sort out and arrange our qualities, where we have a huge will to receive, and everyone has a spark of the upper light of the Creator, of bestowal, and that's why we are called Adam, according to that spark. In everyone that spark is there, in everyone who is a human being in this world, but in some it already appeared, and they have realized themselves in previous times, in previous years, and in some people it appears now, and in others it will appear in the future. But now it appears in a global Kli, and there's also a global providence that appears, and everything is happening in the framework of all of humanity, in everyone together. That's why we are now in the beginning of this process. And in each and every one there is his will to receive and his spark, and we need to sort them out, connect them, all of this sorting and organizing is only in the Ten. Those who are capable of being in the Ten are arranging themselves to be the head of Adam HaRishon, that's why such inclinations appear in them. And those who can't, who only feel their will to receive, will probably belong to the body of Adam HaRishon. And so we will need both the head and the body to work together, to the point that we correct this whole general Kli until it becomes round and spherical, like one giant sphere, and there will be no difference between Rosh Toch and Sof, and everyone shall know me from the greatest to the littlest, as it says. Meaning, we will all connect and the Creator will appear equally to all.

Student: Our goal is adhesion in the Creator, and love is the result of that?

M. Laitman: The complete adhesion in each and every degree, the last degree that we achieve on every level: Shoresh, Aleph, Bet, Gimmel, Dalet. When that is attained, and when I attain the sum-total of all these degrees, after I attain all of these degrees, there is an integration of sorts, of all of them, so there, that adhesion on each and every level is called love, it's the attainment of the Creator in each and every degree.

Question (Zafon 2): (44:19) Do all the spiritual parts exist inside of us, or in the Ten?

M. Laitman: In a person, there is only a bad force, and a spark that pushes him towards correction, nothing else than that. If he wants to open himself up in advance, he has to be connected to others. All of the correction of the shattering of Adam HaRishon is only through connection. That's why I started our talk today saying that you have to hold that picture of connecting the pieces of Adam HaRishon. And what you're asking now is totally opposite. I want everyone to see that, that we must not detach from this general picture of the broken Kli, all those pieces, and we have to come to the connection of all those pieces. So no one can correct himself. How will I correct myself? My whole correction is in connection to everyone. The shattering, the corruption, is that the Creator shattered the Kli, and that's what we need to do. That's what He expects us to do.

Question (Haver 2): (45:44) Following that, you said that we need to complement each other. What is the thing that I cannot attain on my own, and a friend compliments me, and that he doesn't attain on his own, and I complement him?

M. Laitman: We read about it in the articles of Baal HaSulam, about the Arvut. You have to go back to the article “The Arvut” [mutual guarantee], and see. It's not just some Arvut where we will require confidence from one another, rather, I can't attain my general form, since a part of me resides in the entire Kli. In Adam HaRishon, all the parts were included in one another. It was a complete vessel. The upper light would hold them together in this way. Now, what happened is this system, Adam HaRishon, shattered, but in each and every one, there is a Reshimo from the entire system, and until we realize this Reshimo, we have to connect ourselves in spite of the ego that was revealed. We have to connect everyone between us, and then by that, we will realize our correction. No one can find his soul, discover his soul, except in the condition that he is connected with everyone. But everyone means at least with the Ten for the time being, and we'll continue later on. Do not leave the form of Adam HaRishon from the entire system. It has to be before us as a goal. It's something we have to do. This is what the Creator gave us to do, and God forbid, if you begin to speak only about yourselves, you immediately disconnect from spirituality. Even the smallest depiction in your brain, when you say, “I”  - that's it, it's disqualified, you're outside spirituality. The “I” is the “I” who is connected, interdependent with the entire system of Adam HaRishon, at least in the Ten.

Question (ITA 3): (48:32) When there comes a certain disturbance, a problem that is corporeal, that is external, something I didn't want, and when it comes from some friend, how do I relate to that? It happened because of something wrong in the Ten, we need to better pray? What is the right way I can be more with the friends and more in the morning lesson?

M. Laitman: First of all, what comes, comes from the Creator, only. He is the reason for everything; there is none else besides Him. Even though it comes from the friends, from the family, from my boss at work, some addict on the street - whatever it is, it always comes from the Creator. I'm connected only with the Creator. The Creator hides behind everyone, but He works only through everyone. Imagine that you are connected with one source only, the Creator, and there is none else besides Him. Other than Him, there is nothing. Everything else is simply how He presents Himself to you. It doesn't mean that you have to love everyone as they appear in this way, but you have to hold yourself in such a way that this is the Creator that is revealing Himself before you in order to give you an opportunity to first hold on to Him, and to improve the situation and improve your attitude towards Him through the world, through the Ten, until you come to adhesion in the Creator in each and every state. That's how you need to accept reality.

Question (Baltia 1): (50:49) We talked about the life buoy that you throw in the Ten every day. What is this rope or life buoy, and how do you not turn it into a whip?

M. Laitman: I don't understand why we are taking this attitude that you have for the friends, a stick. You have to only give them a hand, throw them a rope so they would catch, and we can pull them out. This is the only way we should relate to the friends. If you have a desire to beat the friends up, harm them, it's worse than harming yourself. It's worse than wanting to harm the Creator. The attitude towards the other, towards the friends, has to be of utmost importance, the highest, before everything else. The Creator forgives everything you'll do against Him, but towards your friends, you need to understand that here the laws are super strict. You have to reach love, and if hate appears, it appears only in order to cover it with love.

Question (Turkiye 3): (52:50) What is the true intention when we are connecting to friends, and how can we reinforce that intention?

M. Laitman: We wish to connect with the friends, since between us we wish to reveal the Creator, the force of love, the force of connection, integration. Gradual, but nevertheless, more and more connection. In truth, that's how I need to connect with all the people in the world, everyone in the world. Although there are those I don't know of, and I don't understand them, I hate them, you name it, like all people. I'm not corrected yet, but I need to understand that it's all revealed in me, so that I would reveal myself as loving everyone, embracing everyone, helping everyone, holding everyone, and presenting this connection to the Creator, so He would fill them. That's what He wishes every one of us to do. This means that I'm realizing my point in the heart. I'm connecting them all, and I offer them to the Creator. I feel in the connection between everyone my desire, and then the Creator fills it.

Question (Tel Aviv 3): (54:37) Why does the feeling of hatred come in such a way to the person? Why doesn't it appear as a general force in between everyone? Why is it so personal?

M. Laitman: The feeling of hate is an extremely personal feeling; it exists in everyone. Those who don't reveal it now will have to reveal it later. This hate, like the students of Rabbi Shimon, what kind of hate they uncovered between them. They wanted to kill one another. Do you understand what we're talking about? The students of Rabbi Shimon, who were in high spiritual degrees. Such hate would appear between them that they wanted to kill one another, and they wrote about it in the book of Zohar itself. Just understand that we are constantly revealing hate, rejection, separation between us, more and more, like in this upside-down cone. The more we grow, the more we discover the will to receive, and consequently hate, and accordingly we can work with it and cover it with love. Cover it, not neutralize, not destroy the hate, just cover it with love. That's what we need to teach all the people in the world. They think that you can destroy all the evil and replace it with good. There's no bad without good; there's no good without bad. We just have to reveal the good, the good is concealed. The hate appears in order to reveal the good, and good and bad will live together, and between them we'll have our exertion, and they will never separate. When there's plus and minus, we're talking about the load that has to exist, the engine that would work from the plus and minus. This is our work, our exertion, and that's how it would work.

Question (Moscow 7): (57:06) You said in the beginning of the lesson that if I'm willing to serve the friends, to care for them, then I have an assurance, a promise from the Creator. Sometimes I feel the changes I go through, sometimes I don't. Is there a promised action that I need to feel towards the friends in the Ten, after which the Creator will certainly awaken changes in me to be like Him?

M. Laitman: You certainly advance if you constantly care about your annulment before the friends, in order to bring them to a connection with the Creator.

Question (Africa ): (57:52) We learn that we must not leave the form of Adam HaRishon, and is the system enough for us to come to full recognition of evil?

M. Laitman: Adam HaRishon includes everything inside of him, everything. All of reality, all the worlds, it's all included in Adam HaRishon. The will to receive the Creator created, the entire system, we are learning about, it's all Adam HaRishon. There's nothing more than that, there's nothing less than that, it's the complete system. We have to locate it, see it as broken, that's how it was given to us, and correct it by coming close between us and getting close to the Creator, that's how it is.

Question (Moscow 2): (59:12) The complete connection, is it felt in the vessels of reception?

M. Laitman: The complete connection appears in the combination between the Sefirot, which is both vessels of reception and vessels of bestowal working together in mutual

support in order to reveal the complete connection. There cannot be a connection unless opposite forces merge in it. Because when we rise above the resistance between them, for the sake of connection.

Question (Tel Aviv 2): (01:00:02) What is the difference between hating the friend in the Ten or someone off the street?

M. Laitman: If you enter the Ten, by that you commit to loving everyone, whereas towards the people on the street, you don't have such a commitment. You have to worry about the connection in the Ten, and there you will begin to reveal spirituality. However, later it will obligate you to relate to everyone like that. That will come and show you how to relate to everyone in the world in the form of love.

Student: And in the meantime, when I hate someone off the street, how do I relate to him?

M. Laitman: You don't have to talk about it, you don't have to think about it, you just have to concentrate yourself in the Ten. You don't have the power to love who you hate, not yet. Learn about it in the Ten.

Question (PT 5): (01:01:22) In our world, people feel common feelings on many levels, from a musical concert to other things. What characterizes this common feeling, spiritual feeling you call love?

M. Laitman: Above reason, above our individual desires, since I would never connect with those people I have in my Ten. I would not agree with people that I have in the Ten to be in support and love. No, what for? Only in order to attain the root of my soul, spirituality, connection with the Creator, bestowal - that's why I'm in a Ten and I'm accepting these laws, and I commit to reach mutual support with them. It's not the same as people on the street. Right now, I owe them nothing. I relate nicely to them, kindly. I want to reach this entire vessel of Adam HaRishon, but relative to the people on the street, I have only the ability to work in dissemination. And that's what we have to do, but not more than that, I don't connect with them. I merely try to be a pipeline in order to give them the upper light for the Creator to take care of them. That's my commitment on behalf of the general Arvut. Whereas in the group, I commit to be the connective force in each Ten, and this has to be the role of each and every person.

Student: What is a shared emotion, a common feeling? When I feel hate or love, rejection towards some friend, what's the difference between that and a shared feeling?

M. Laitman: We can't feel it yet. This is the center of the group, where we build the Keter, this common force, the place where we would reveal our common root, which is the Creator. It will come. It's not working schematically exactly in the same way that we're describing right now.

Question (Moscow 4): (01:04:10) What does it mean to bring the friends to a connection with the Creator?

M. Laitman: Give an example. When you invest yourself, all of you, in the connection of the entire Ten, because in this way you too wish to attain the Creator. Egotistically, you have no choice. This is your vessel; you must assemble it in order to reveal Him. He's not revealed in less than Ten, so I must bring my entire Ten to connection between them to such a level of connection, a quality of connection, that in that connection the Creator will be revealed. The form of connection, the level, the quality of it has to be, at a bare minimum, such that the Creator will be revealed there on the first degree, the smallest degree - Nefesh de Nefesh de Nefesh. This is how it's called.

Student: For me as an individual I can bring all the Ten to a connection?

M. Laitman: Each one from the Ten must do it. That's what Rabash writes in the social articles.

Question (PT 4): (01:05:49) There's a part in me that is detached completely from the lesson. Another part clings to the Rav, to the friends, connects everything to the Creator. It seems like this split, I don't know what to do with this whole confusion. I don't know how to work with it from now on.

M. Laitman: Work only with the part that's connected to everyone and increase it, grow it until it fills everything.

Question (Moscow 7): (01:06:26) When you spoke about dissemination and Arvut, I wanted to clarify. How is the Arvut connected to disseminating the upper light?

M. Laitman: Because each and every one of us is responsible for all of reality, for the vessel of Adam HaRishon. Hence I have to be responsible for the correction of the whole world, each and every one. Because I am included of the entire world and there is a part of me that's included in the entire world. Therefore I need to care for the correction of the entire world and this is done only by disseminating. So we need to invest part of our strength at least in dissemination.

Question (Nikolaev-Sochi): (01:07:30) You said that on the one hand I have to hold this whole picture of Adam HaRishon in mind and all of the events of all human beings, connect all of them to None Else Besides Him. On the other hand, there is the formula of the Ten in which I dare too, I try to build the shape of the Creator. What's the difference between this or that shape?

M. Laitman: Relative to you, of course those are different things, but there is nothing complicated here or different. Rather the Creator that's revealed in the general vessel of the world and appears to you in the Ten, if you would be able to detect the Creator both here and there, you would see the difference between these vessels. For the time being you have neither, but after all it's one force and it only depends on your resolution how to detect it. There’s no Ten and humanity, it's all you looking at reality.

Question (PT 17): (01:08:50) The students of Rabbi Shimon when they hated each other to the point they wanted to kill each other, why did they hate each other?

M. Laitman: Because that's how the egoistic will to receive was revealed in each one of them and soon, let's hope it will be revealed in us. It's a sign of advancement because he who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater as well.

Student: Hatred is an emotion that doesn't require explanation, it's just an emotion?

M. Laitman: Hate requires no explanation, just like love, when you attain it completely, it requires no explanation. Because these two forces: love is the force of the Creator, and hate is the diametrically opposite force from it.

Question (Internet): (01:09:48) A friend humiliated me, really stepped on my pride and so on, and I have a desire to avenge him, to take revenge. How can I feel that, and love in parallel? How?

 M. Laitman:  Turn to the Creator and ask Him, why He did it to you.

Question (Focus Group): (01:10:19) How to do what you said, that I will put my part in all the friends, and all the friends' parts in me?

Student: Open your heart. Work on that. Be as straightforward with the group as possible. Open your heart.

Question (Turkiye 3): (01:10:48) We heard you saying that we should not yearn for evil inclination to be revealed. So how can we reach evil in order to build bigger love?

M. Laitman: In each and every degree, in every state, we have to yearn for connection, and for adhesion in the Creator. And whether or not the evil inclination will be revealed is not my problem. God forbid. I don't care about it; I'm not worried about it. I worry only about the connection and adhesion in the Creator. And the moment we attain connection and some level of adhesion in the Creator according to our state, then the new degree appears. And it appears because the evil inclination is revealed, meaning the corrupt desire appears in a higher degree. This means that we've reached a new day that starts with night. And again, we'll have to work on it, on the connection, until we reach correction. When we reach correction, it's all revealed again. It all starts from darkness, until we turn the darkness to light.

Reader: We have an excerpt from the sources team about the need to awaken the friend's hearts. So Rabash writes:

Reading: (01:12:34) Rabash. Letter 24.

This is why it is being shown to you from above that you have to keep awakening the love of the Creator in this way, that you must always stand guard, all day and all night, when you feel a state of day or feel a state of night.

We say to the Creator, “Yours is the day, and Yours is also the night.” Thus, the night, too, the darkness of night, comes from the Creator to man’s favor, too, as it is written, “Day to day utters speech, and night to night expresses knowledge” (See the Sulam Commentary, Part 1, Item 103).

It follows that you must awaken the heart of the friends until the flame rises by itself, as our sages said about it, “When you mount the candles.” By that, you will be rewarded with awakening the love of the Creator upon us.

M. Laitman: Clear? Maybe by that we've concluded the preparation for the lesson. Now, let's start the lesson. Okay, we have another one.

Question (Tel Aviv 2): (01:14:03) It was said in the excerpts, “day to day utters speech, and night to night expresses knowledge.” What's the difference between speech and knowledge here?

M. Laitman: It's not important. We got stuck to certain words. Think about it, and you'll see. It's not a problem.
