1. Rav’s Introduction: Yes, we are actually starting to feel, perhaps, how much our transition from our state to the state of conception is not so simple. It is the most difficult thing. The most difficult state in spirituality and also in corporeality. It is a real wonder. We have to treat it patiently and see each day what we can add to our understanding of the state of conception (Ibur) since the conception is passing from the feeling of this world to the feeling of the upper World, from externality to internality. This transition includes, in it, many conditions, feelings, habits and we need to go through all of them patiently. We will do it. We will try to subjugate ourselves towards this transition. We will try to do what kabbalists tell us. Mainly, that in each state, be it good or bad, to subjugate ourselves towards the 10. Since without that we can't approach the Creator. Through this means of the 10, we can approach the Creator. We can bestow to Him and ask Him to bestow to us in return. Each time, more and more, we will learn about all of the forms and modes of all our connections with the Creator through the 10. Until these things will be included in us, we will include them together. Incorporate them. Our desire will change and acquire a form that is more and more suitable for the connection between us. In this way we will come to a state where we are ready to be an embryo. We will read these verses. Again, I am saying these verses from the previous lesson on the entrance to spirituality, the first degree. Both that document and the verses from this document are extremely important to us. We will see up ahead how they include all the states we are going through and what we haven't gone through. We can't see it but they are also included here and as we go through them we will see that everything is written.

2. R. (07:30) What is impregnation? When a person is capable or that he wants, not that he's capable in practice, but he wants to shift or remove from himself his entire ‘I’. He annuls himself towards what is happening and doesn’t want to use his intellect, his strength, nothing. Because he understands that with all of the qualities that he had previously, thus far, they are all corporeal qualities and in order to receive. He doesn't want to keep going with those qualities at all. Where will he get the new qualities from? The prayer. Only from the Creator. In order to turn to the Creator and ask for the new qualities. To be in this transition. That is why it is called Ubar, transition. To be in a transition from this world to the spiritual world, from the lower world to the upper World, from the corporeal to the spiritual world. There are many names for it.

In order to be in this transition, he needs new forces that did not exist in him previously and don't even exist in the place where he was in, in the state where he was. Since they don't exist in this world, he needs to acquire new forces. Forces of bestowal and connection, which are opposite from what we have here in this world. So certainly he has to activate new desires, and a new prayer. Of course he is incapable of doing it by himself. Then he begins to see the society, his group, as the only means. Although he lacks any spiritual quality, he has a group here and by relating to it even to a small degree in bestowing and in connection he begins to activate spiritual forces. Although they are all in corporeality, he and the friends, but they can perform actions; and through these actions they activate a spiritual force. It is a true miracle. A wonder.

We try to come close to one another. With this mechanical, seemingly egoistic closeness we activate a spiritual force that will work on us. Why? Because through the certain actions that we do, we correspondingly activate the spiritual force. Although directly we have no influence on it whatsoever. That is how we advance. It seems to us that we are moving farther away from the goal, from the spiritual reality, from bestowal, from coming closer to one another. We move away from one another. Instead of understanding, we reject and repulse each other. That is how it would seem to us all the time. But that is incorrect. It is only because our sensitivity to the connections and the distance between us is growing. So that we will do the work in a higher state. Until we go through these states as many times as we need to, then we enter conception. This is in essence what can be done.

3. S. (12:11) When you come to a state of a dead end and understand that you can't do anything good in your own qualities. How do you ask the Creator and what do you ask from Him?

R. When I see that I have nothing to ask, that I am helpless. I am facing a wall and getting stuck. In this inner or external wall I turn to the group, I have no other means to turn to the Creator except through the group. Then I try to do different actions with them, not that I burden them with whatever I feel like, rather I relate to them differently I come closer to them I try to feel how important they are to me, egotistically, they are important to me egotistically because without them I can't bestow to the Creator, on the Creator, to the Creator. That is how we advance. There is no choice. It is through these forms that the Creator teaches us how to advance. Since only by consideration of the society, by approaching the society we can do it. Just like He is doing it right now in our world. With this pandemic, with all the problems, the fires and floods. There will be a few more such unpleasant states along the way. This is all in order to obligate us. To begin to think of how to save ourselves from these blows. That to save ourselves is only possible through mutual work and even connection. 4. S. (14:46) From what I understand about this whole matter of impregnation, what happens afterwards is a dangerous process. What is dangerous about it?

R. The process is dangerous because you can fall from the Ibur/conception. This is called abortion. Or not get pregnant, not enter conception. Before conception we have actions. We want to come closer and closer to this action. We are doing various actions whereby we relate to the Creator, we court Him. Yes, courting. Then we approach Him, like with a girl. You approach her with certain physical actions in order to impregnate her. These things in each and every action have a spiritual root. Baal HaSulam writes about it here and there, and we will find those places and talk about them. We can see the corporeal results but the reason for it is spiritual. As he writes about it, ‘only good and mercy shall chase me all the days of my life’. That is how we come to conception. Meaning, the entrance has to be all at once. A person is rewarded with this high coupling according to how much he chases the holy Divinity. How much he understands who he is in contact with and how high is this place, and that it is the first time he wants to reach this contact with the Creator. That is how he needs to try and do more and more. He needs to come to know through this work in the group, and his work, that only by this gradual nearing, more and more, he is rewarded with contact with the Creator.

5. S. (18:09) What does it mean to save ourselves from the blows? Because we do not rely on the ‘stick’ or are afraid of ascents and descends and the bad and the good. So what is the meaning of saving ourselves from the blow?

R. I don't know where you are taking this from because we didn't read about it.

S. You spoke about the pandemic and other things that might come.

R. That’s what you mean. The fact is that we need to learn how these things actually bring us closer to understand the kind of connection we need to establish between us. What we need to do. Of course all the forces that reveal upon us and work upon us, especially those global forces that work on all of humanity, there we can detect, roughly speaking, what is happening with us.

We are in the last generation. It turns out that the Creator arranges this lesson for us. For us to learn from His actions on us what His demands are. If we wish to run away or to protect ourselves from the blows, from the flooding, from the fires, all of the problems, all of these harmful elements, then we need to know that it is possible only through the good relationship and attitude between us. Until we learn about it, we will absorb these blows and we won't be able to live without blows. We have more and more of them waiting in all directions. Because today we are interconnected around the planet, it is clear that every blow, whatever it may be, will reach everyone. So to some extent we will all feel it and by that we will feel how we're all connected and how we are all interdependent. Meaning that if we don't want to do it in a good way, the Creator will do it through the less-than-good way. He will teach us differently through this collective punishment.

Don't say, ‘what is the fault of some people that live in some godforsaken place?’ Or these other people who are suffering from these kinds of blows and those suffer from other blows. They suffer from fires, and they suffer from flooding, and they suffer from the virus, and they suffer from the heat waves and cold fronts, we can't say. We need to understand that eventually all of us will suffer. This is what is happening and what will happen. Our lives depend on this time called the ‘general end of correction’. Here we can come to world wars, massive fires all over the planet, flooding, earthquakes, and volcanoes. In short, there is no shortage.

But to the extent that against all of the problems, we will be able to hold up our shield, since when we come close to one another we will cancel all of these evil forces, and the planet will settle down. Because, after all, in the connection between us we can calm it down. We can balance it and live in a good and beautiful way, and continue connecting. Until we discover in this connection, not only this world, and we can feel it all the way, deep into it, but we will begin to discover the spiritual world and all of its height.

6. S. (23:33) Rabash is writing here in the excerpt, ‘I can say for some time, that at this time I accept that I determine not to use my intellect.’ The question is why does he take it upon himself temporarily, not as in other cases, we see he accepts it forever even if afterwards he falls from his degree?

R. At least now, in this point of transition, that he is in a state of conception, this is what he says. That I don't want to use my intellect. Because by seeing, I can see how much it changes and can't give me the correct discernment. Instead, what I can do is reach out to the group. Incorporate in it and immerse myself in it like an embryo in its mother's womb.

7. S. (24:49) In the beginning of the excerpt he says and now I do not want to think of anything for my own benefit. How do you do this and what does it mean not wanting to think of anything for myself?

R. I can't do it, I can only replace one desire with another, I can't restrict a desire until it disappears. I have to exist in a certain desire except one desire can overcome, can cover another desire. That is why I need to convince myself that my desire for the 10, my concern for the 10 has to be in the greatest concern I have because in the 10 I establish all of my spiritual life. My corporeal life and my spiritual life and I depend only on that. If I think that I can determine anything in my ego, it is a total lie and I am making a huge mistake. That is what I need to do. So let us just try to actualize this in practice since in each and every moment I would want to raise the importance of society, the importance of spirituality, the importance of bestowing and the importance of nearing, the friends as the most important thing compared to anything else.

8. S. (26:46) How can we explain to people that there is a connection between our behavior and natural disasters? How does the lack of connection between us cause those problems in the world?

R. Our world is a global place and integral. Global, meaning it is one big system, and it is integral in the sense that all of the forces are interconnected and they influence one another. When the highest degree, the top creatures above the still, vegetative, and animate don't want to live in the connection between us with all of the powers received from nature to be connected, but on the contrary, establish our powers egotistically, contrary to one another, then we are using the forces of nature, being global as a single system. Inside the system of nature we seem like the disease of cancer. We know that the cancerous tumor eats and devours itself, and puts to death everything around it. We can explain this to people. The question is how much will it help? A person's ego as much as it hears about it, it will never want to work against itself. Gradually, time after time, we will be able to establish such systems and actions where, despite our ego, we will be able to perform acts of connection and to be able to come closer to one another, mutually, to some extent. In this way we will come closer to the understanding, here, there, and all around the planet that connection is the remedy.

9. S. (30:01) When a person becomes an embryo?

R. Through his group.

S. Does he nurse, as in this world?

R. The good connection that he has with his friends, that is the umbilical cord that he creates and constructs more and more, and in this way he can receive from Bina, from the upper quality, from the womb. He acquires the qualities of bestowal. And when he absorbs these qualities, he actualizes them and realizes them between the friends even more. We say it’s a sign that he’s growing.

S. When the group acquires the general screen, we discover intention. Is intention the line of straightness that we discover in advance?

R. Yes, of course, we are getting back to the end of Correction, to that point from which we started. That we attain it by ourselves, we construct all of the degrees of the ascent and we pray, we ask the Creator to do this for us. To understand what we want to feel meaning preceded by a deficiency for the state as we were before creation. Incorporated in the Creator, we return to this state with a great deficiency, 620 times greater than before, and it turns out that by that we attain all of creation - that force of bestowal that is working, that created us, that establishes us, that cares for us called the Creator.

10. S. (32:47) If a 10 comes to the state of an embryo, to be careful of a state of a miscarriage what is this state?

R. That we fail in the connection and instead of connection that we fall once again into the egoistic desire. Also during the impregnation, we shift from one state to another but there it’s the changing states, where we are not falling but we’re incorporated with the new desires in the ascent. Whereas in a state of abortion, we lose that connection that we attained.

S. When the 10 goes into a state of an embryo and there's no miscarriage, it's just changing of states?

R. When the 10 enters conception, it is either forward or backwards, either falling or abortion and can even be a shattering. The fetus is called dead, God forbid, an abortion. All of the upper forces that entered, forces of bestowal from above down, we can't hold them from below. The connection between us, the screen between us doesn't hold it. It explodes and blood comes out and the embryo dies. It is extremely picturesque this thing, highly visual.

11. S. (35:18) I don't understand why it says that I determine not to use my intellect on one hand and on the other hand it feels like I do determine something here?

R. You determine that you do not wish to determine anything. How does that happen? You get incorporated with the friends and you use the general mind of the group that is it.

12. S. (35:58) What can we do in order not to fall from state-to-state when we are in the state of the embryo?

R. Only hold on to one another. Be closer, tighter together internally. Physically, you can be on all sides of the world. But internally you wish to care for one another so that each and every one will not fall and be together with you, and this way, in this mutual guarantee, we come to be an embryo. The whole world needs to make it as well into that mutual guarantee. The Arvut is the law that sustains all of the individuals together. It turns them into one, and then one receives one. This one that connected, reveals, sustains and can hold the Creator. The form of the Creator begins to develop in the connection between people, and through this Arvut its called embryo, it’s called a soul.

13. R. (40:00) Although it is the most restricted Katnut possible we restrict our ego, our ‘I’, ourselves, but by that, we let the upper one do what he wants with us. And we wish to remove any form of criticism, any calculation of what He will do or not do and who knows what He will do with me. All those things in those desires and thoughts. Meaning that world that I am in, that I can imagine my existence above all of it, I annul everything. I let the upper one control it and dominate it completely and absolutely. This is called working in annulment, like a Nukvah relative to the male, and this is why we say that ‘the Creator is impregnated in me’, and that is how we need to try and feel ourselves relative to this action of connection in the 10 and connection with the Creator.

14. S. (42:56) Anger, rage and suffering - these are the sensations of a person, that is, does he feel it in his inner work?

R. It is the feeling of the ego of a person against which he has to work and calm himself and annul before the upper one whatever the upper one does in him. What does the upper one do in him?

Everything that a person has certainly comes from above from ‘there’s none else besides Him.’ And therefore a person must calm himself down saying this is what I received from the Creator. So when he wants to adhere to the Creator and everything that he feels at that moment, this is how he advances. But he has to do it through the 10.

15. S. (44:07) You say in order to avoid the calamities, we have to make new relationships in the 10. So what are these good relationships that will help us avoid the calamities or do we have to wait for the states to come to us?

R. There are two things, here: number one is I cancel myself before the friends that I am among them in a passive state. I completely annul, whatever they want, I do, whatever happens in the 10 I submit myself to and participate, and I have nothing else in this except for this. This is like the restriction that we learn in the wisdom of Kabbalah. On the other hand, I want to bestow upon them to help them and support everything that they want, not I, this is already in practice as an act above the restriction, this is like the reflected light. In that way, I come to a state where I am incorporated in them, actively, and likewise each and every one in the 10. By this we build a vessel for the revelation of the Creator. It is very close that we can do in practice if we want to, and if we listen. If we scrutinize these things and try to somehow get back to it several times a day It is possible for us to do this in practice to build the soul which is a vessel for the revelation of the Creator.

16. S. (46:22) Yesterday we said that the 10 is the womb, and my job is to impregnate in it. What is the meaning that the Lord was impregnated in me?

R. To the extent that I am incorporated in the 10, I begin to feel everything I do is the Creator's commands and that he is in me.

S. You said something about needing to be Nukvah in this world?

R. We were talking about the act of the impregnation, itself, because the female becomes annuls before the male in impregnation, as the male is the active party in this. That the female is below and the male is on top, all of these things are very, how should I put it, they come to us from a spiritual nature and there must be many physical actions during the Zivug, the coupling, for and against the connection, the friction. In this way we come to be incorporated in that desire, the female, the woman so that his sperm will be blessed and we need to bring these excerpts on that as I'm not saying it very nicely. S. Letter 19, can you explain what spiritual actions all that correspond to it?

R. This is called receiving the sperm in a blessed way.

S. You said annulment means to be passive and you described an active act of passiveness

R. We are passive only with respect to our ego and the female is also passive compared to the male who is active. We will scrutinize these components of the coupling in the general topic of the coupling and the birth. There are many scrutinies ahead of us as this is our entire spiritual life and it is very similar to the physical life except we relate to them and elevate them to the spiritual level. We carry them out in an act of bestowal.

17. S. (50:33) How do we explain the state of anger, the root of the state of anger?

R. Anger is judgments that are revealed, a new born baby that we will talk about later, right now we are only talking about impregnation so a person should keep those questions and we will scrutinize them later. Now we are saying and talking only about how we should annul ourselves each one before the 10, each one before himself and all of us together before the Creator in order to receive from him the upper light and through the upper light that we as the female, all of us come into the impregnation. This is the work that we now want to do. Excerpt Letter 19 BHS The matter of the unification of the Creator and His Shechina that one induces when he has had his fill of yearning and longing is precisely like the lower Zivug applied in the birth of a corporeal body. It, too, extends necessarily by a prior cause, namely the hardening, which is a certain measure of longing and yearning called “hardness” in the corporeal language. Then, one’s seed is also blessed, for it shoots like an arrow in Nefesh [soul], Shanah [year], Olam [world]. This is the meaning of “How is there repentance? In the same place, at the same time, and with the same woman, since the bottom Hei consists of Nefesh, Shanah, Olam.

18. R. 19. S. (56:25) What is the meaning of judgment and anger when we are in conception?

What we are going through now even in the beginning of this spiritual process which is called conception, impregnation and even just the entry into conception is still determined from the end of the road, the end of the work is in the preliminary thought. From there it determines the whole process that we have to go through so basically we need to speak also a little bit about the entire expansion, meaning all of our ascents on the ladder of degrees until the end of correction, as this will happen to us in every state that we learn, we will have no choice but to speak about every state. I have patience for it because we can't advance in this so quickly until we change our internality, until we absorb the necessity for connection, the necessity for participation. Until we unite together in a 10 in one desire, each and every one in his own 10.

20. S. (58:48) how to properly cry out to advance in the work?

R. Together and as loud as you can.

21. S. (59:03) It is written that conception means the level of Malchut which is the most restricted, smallness possible, from the words anger and judgment as it is written, ‘and the Lord is impregnated in me for your sake’. Why does it say this?

R. Impregnation means the form of the Creator in the created being, that is it and ask more concisely if possible.

22. S. (59:45) To justify constantly the acts of the Creator is this also called Ibur?

R. Of course. How else could I be incorporated in him as we need to incorporate in Him to acquire His form and in the end, we will be called Adam from the word Domeh, similar to the Creator, Adam means man. To the extent that we do want to be incorporated among us and acquire the form of the impregnation, meaning the 10 Sefirot, the beginning of the Soul, whatever you want to call it, the spiritual Partzuf, from that extent we will connect above and the Creator will do this for us, this is called that the Creator will be impregnated in me for his sake when he gives us his form. This is the result, this is the great gift that we are getting from him. He makes all of us together into His form and then out of this form that He creates through His influence we begin to learn through the connection between us which constantly changes and rises constantly. By this we begin to study the Creator and this is called practical wisdom of Kabbalah. This is called ‘by your actions we know you’ the Creator, according to our ability to connect and to want to connect. He creates the connection between us and in that connection we can learn what He did with us, and out of this we learn who He is and what He is. In this, it is called the Creator is impregnated in me, that we acquire his form over us. This is why we are called Adam more and more each time just like an embryo acquires more and more of a form of a small human being but by this it goes through all of the stages of evolution from the sperm through the still, vegetative and animal and then it grows more and so are we, through the exact same stages.

23. S. (01:03:36) In our corporeal world the spiritual conception takes place in the thought. What helps us sort this out properly?

R. Only those thoughts that act toward connection between us in order to build the structure that will be as suitable and congruent as possible with the Creator so we become as one man with one heart, we are all friends together helping one another. All of those examples, if we try to realize and implement, if we know how to realize them more but to ask the Creator to help us realize them and in this way we build out of ourselves The soul, the part of God above so out of our will to receive we build the structure that is similar to the Creator, that is similar to the Creator in its qualities and actions and then out of what we build out of ourselves, we begin to study him because we are building it ourselves. We perform actions and we see what happens, we build some more in the connection between us and then study what happened some more because to the extent that we build, the upper light enters our structure, the connection between us to correct the connection between us changing us and we begin to know the Creator. Until we come to complete congruence with him and this is called the end of correction. From the end of correction onwards, the wisdom of Kabbalah doesn't speak about, this is already the beyond, this also will be revealed as well.

24. S. (01:06:05) If I am able to submit myself to everyone in the 10 then I can say that everything I do is the Creator in me?

R. Yes of course, moreover you will feel if you annul before the 10 then you will feel that you are finding the Creator there. That at the center of the 10, the upper force is there and from there it actually operates us. Anyone who wants to approach the center of the 10 to be incorporated in there, according to what the Rabash explains about annulling before the 10, you attain the Creator more and more like Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma, because through my students I can advance more and more to the revelation of the Creator. Where do I discover him in the connection between us, the essence of the connection that is revealed between us more and more is the Creator. That form does not exist, there is the abstract, upper light that operates on us but the Creator is “Come and see”. 25. S. (01:08:18) When we say that you have to pass every state through the 10, does this mean that in every state I go through I have to think of the 10? Or I have to make efforts to constantly be connected and then the states that come automatically go through the 10?

R. There are all kinds in the beginning of course I don't really think about the 10 afterwards I sometimes remember and sometimes I don't. But the more that we advance, naturally, the things that happened to us from the nature of the light that we do awaken we still will feel that we are working together and we will discover that I didn’t really mean it but I acted in the 10, I didn’t think I was connected to them but once I do these things, I see that it was realized in the 10 bit by bit we just need to continue but it is not slow, it is gradual.

26. S. (01:09:58) How do we turn the suffering of the anger that comes from the trouble into torments of love?

R. It all depends on how much we think about the same thing together, and by this, we can maintain and influence each other's thoughts in the 10 and then by this we impel every friend to think about the general state of the 10. By this you basically begin to see your realization, the purpose of your life, the result of your labor. It all comes out of trying to connect in our actions, it takes a while, you see it is just like humanity as when it started developing hundreds of years ago and it is still developing although in its final phases. This is what we are like but as it is written many pennies make a pound, each penny accumulates into a great amount.

27. S. (01:12:01) You describe the process beautifully of how the Creator clothes in me and you started to describe it in a structure and form that you are bringing us to the topic of the feeling and sensation, is this the states that we are going through during the conception and connection in the form to a certain sensation?

R. Our whole purpose is to shift from feeling this world to feeling the upper world.
