Lesson 1 - October 9, 2025: The Power of Prayer
Reader: Dear friends, the topic of the first lesson is “The Power of Prayer.” Friends who want to ask questions please come to the center of study hall, if you want to ask in the Arvut system put the question mark on, don’t walk around unless it is very necessary.
Reader: Hello, everyone. Happy holiday. Welcome to the opening of our Congress “One Prayer.” After months of preparation, dozens of meetings, workshops and devoted work of the entire world Kli, we finally gather here together in this special occasion for a never-before-Congress. Its topic is a prayer. We want to be in this Congress in one prayer. Unlike world Congresses where we all gather in Israel or somewhere else in the world, this time it's a local Congress whose purpose is to strengthen the Tens, our Tens here and all around the world. To strengthen each and every place, each and every region, to observe new friends, to strengthen the connections between us through mutual doing, and also to develop new skills so that many new friends will be able to organize Congresses all around the world. But the most important thing is our friends who have gathered all around the world. Let's watch them, see them now on the screens. We have 2,000 friends from the world Kli, who have gathered here in Petah Tikva, in our home and over 3,500 friends all over the world, you can see them on the screens. Great gatherings. So, let us be inspired by the friends from Georgia, Astana, Florida, Nieper, New York, Vancouver, Odessa - see how many groups! We will see them and feel them more as we go. So L’Chaim to all of our friends, to all the efforts each and every friend put into this Congress. And in this Congress, we don't want only to learn about prayer, we also want to pray. And that, we will do with our Rav and our sources in the first lesson, which topic is the “Power of Prayer.” Rav Laitman, please.
M. Laitman: I am certain that we all understand how important the prayer that emerges from the connection between us is, from our common heart. It has the power to raise straight to the Creator, and to enter Him, such that He will feel that we are all only in one direction, between us and towards Him. Let's hope that we will succeed to do so, and the Creator will help us with this.
Reader: So we are in lesson number one. We have six lessons ahead of us. The first lesson deals with the Power of Prayer. We'll start with the famous excerpt by Baal HaSulam.
Reading: (03:28) 1. Baal HaSulam, Letter No. 57
Everything, small or great, is obtained only by the power of prayer. All the labor and work to which we are obliged are only to discover our lack of strength and our lowliness—that we are unfit for anything by our own strength—for then we can pour out a wholehearted prayer before Him.
M. Laitman: Yes, meaning only to attain the correct prayer, the correct deficiency. And to try and raise it from all our hearts to one heart, and from it to the Creator. That is what we want. That's the only thing we're aimed towards. So, from this common force that we want to build, that is totally aimed to the Creator, from this force, we will rise to Him, embrace ourselves, all the friends, all the students, men, women, together. And then, for sure, we will merit that answer from Him as He will embrace us together, and truly clothe us within one body.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (05:36) What does it mean to attain the right prayer? What is the right prayer, and how does one attain it?
M. Laitman: The correct prayer, meaning the question, the request, our request to come out of our common heart and come to the heart at a higher level.
Student: And who prays? I pray, or I join someone?
M. Laitman: I join our common heart, which is aimed directly to the Creator and is in Him. We need to reach a state in which we yearn, long to feel that point of connection between us and the Creator such that we have no more room, no more deficiency, just to be together between us and with the Creator.
Student: At such a Congress, where you see all the points in the heart gathering all around the world, such a special assembly, a spiritual assembly, we feel that the Creator is operating with the great force here, and we need to nullify and flow along with it. Nothing else is required of man. So what is man’s place here in this Congress?
M. Laitman: The person’s place is in seeking of that point of connection he has in the Ten, and in all the Tens to the general spiritual big Kli, and the connection of this Kli with the Creator. This is what we need. In short, to as one man in one heart and in it reveal the Creator. That’s how we will succeed.
Question (Latvia): (08:37) How does prayer help us? What can we add? How can we reach a prayer which will definitely be a correct prayer?
M. Laitman: We can make an effort that will connect our hearts and guide them together as one common heart to the Creator. And in this heart, the Creator will feel us, He will dwell in it, and we will feel the point of adhesion with the Creator, the point of unification. We in the heart that we prepare with our so-called separated individual hearts, and He as one, unique, and unified. So when our hearts will resemble Him, that is when we will truly reach the state in which one receives One. One whole, that's what we call one receiving One. And then we will feel that point of unity or unification and our common heart in Him.
Question (Mali): (11:12) How does our persistence, our feeling from the depth of our pain bring us to a prayer?
M. Laitman: Our tendency or inclination to be together, although we are still far from this, will bring us closer to one another and raise up the connection between us from… from us all to one man. And in this point we will feel both ourselves and the Creator as one.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (12:17) We're in the beginning of our voyage for the strength of prayer that brings us to the King's palace. How does our lowliness help us return to the Creator?
M. Laitman: Specifically by us distancing from our ego, from all kinds of calculations, by that, we will be closer to the Creator and be able to connect all our desires between us to one desire and thus know how we connect as one man in one heart, so that by the essence of our connection we will be similar to the Creator. And then we will feel His power in the inclination towards one Kli, one vessel, and our inclination towards being as one man to the one Creator. As they convene, connect, and by that we will come to the successful connection.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (14:05) I notice that I want to pray, that many times I want to burst into a prayer, and I feel more and more that at first there needs to be gratitude. So, I want to ask you if before every prayer we should start with gratitude. Should we? Is it the like a preparation for a prayer? What is the importance of gratitude before a prayer?
M. Laitman: The gratitude of the prayer prior to the prayer is a very great thing, and very important, and we must not forget about this. We're yet to talk about this.
Student: Meaning, a prayer without gratitude is something sterile. This is not a real prayer from the heart, right?
M. Laitman: Correct.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (15:04) How can we resemble our hearts to the Creator now, so that He will dwell in our common heart? What can we add?
M. Laitman: To do so, we need to depict the connection in our heart, in our common heart. From this common heart, we need to raise up a prayer. In essence, it's not that far from us or difficult. Let's try and do this together, and scrutinize where else we can, we need, we can come closer between us. That's all I can say at this point. It's the correct question, and I think that we should expect the correct answer.
Question (Florida): (16:08) Yes, how do we concentrate the prayer so the Creator feels that it's coming from one Kli?
M. Laitman: Each of us aims himself towards the connection with the others, and that's how we begin to see more correctly that we are connected together in one circle, and from this circle, we appeal to the Creator. That is actually our effort, our exertion in which, if we attain a connection between us, and if we aim ourselves towards the Creator, then we can also make more connection.
Question (Croatia): (17:34) You spoke about this point of connection, where every Ten connects. Can you feel it, you? Can you feel, for example, can you feel the point of connection of my Ten? And tell me, where is it?
M. Laitman: The point of connection of the Ten, any Ten, no matter where it is, it's in the center of the Ten, and in the center of the connection between us, all of us. Hence, we need to think this way, and depict it to ourselves, and try to be in it.
Question (Turkiye 1): (18:50) How can we feel the strength that comes from the connection between us, and what is this lack, this deficiency?
M. Laitman: To feel the force that emerges from us, from our connection towards the Creator, we need to try, and be in it. And then, after a few times, a few efforts, we will attain the connection between us, and in it, the connection with the Creator. And it's exactly the correct question.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (19:46) I'm sitting here, and I feel that everyone is in his Ten, and I was trying to do this work of connecting this large Kli into the center of my Ten. And then I realized that everyone are doing the same thing, making this connection in their Tens, focusing this force there. So, how can all of us together take this force, connect it, and raise one common prayer to the Creator?
M. Laitman: Connect between you more and more. Ask about it. Don't let go of Him. Make Him in the center of the intentions and your desires. And for you to feel in your yearnings for connection that that is where the Creator is. And He is practically building the connection between us so that we'll be so unified and powerful. The moment you attain such a state, you will feel your connection and the Creator within it as one whole, one spiritual whole, and you won't have to do anything else in addition. Everything else is done by the Creator.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (21:39) From the common heart of Ukraine and Israel, we have the following question. Except for connecting congresses, raising a common prayer, working in Tens and in dissemination, participating in the lessons, reading the sources, what else can we do? What else can we add as a society and everyone on his own in order to bring Israel to correction, to be an example for the whole world?
M. Laitman: We need to ask the Creator for our connection. We need to ask Him so that He will show us the one common point of connection between us. We need to ask Him so that there will be constantly this center of connection between us. And that will be the only thing that's important for us. That's important.
Question (Benin): (23:41) We have a desire to pray, but we do not have the strength to pray. Why is it?
M. Laitman: So that we attain the force. The desire to pray is something imaginary. But the power, the force, the strength to pray, for it to be in us, that's already serious. So we need to be concerned with the spiritual force for us to come closer to Him in the connection between us, and demand from the Creator for there to be a connection between us. That is how we will succeed.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (24:31) We read in the excerpt that everything is obtained by the force of prayer. So, where do we bring this force of prayer from? With which help we can attain everything?
M. Laitman: We attain the force of prayer from searching how to be connected in one point, in one center, how to raise up the questions, longings, from that point of our connection to the Creator. And on the way, we will attain all the questions, longings, yearnings, and that's how we will advance.
Question (Moscow): (26:02) We have over 120 people here, and we all came to the feeling that we cannot do anything by our own strength. What is the wholeness of our prayer?
M. Laitman: By us being certain that we will attain the correct prayer. Then the Creator will answer us for sure, and in such a way we will attain the goal.
Student: How can we understand it?
M. Laitman: We will understand it from within the states that we experience that will gradually bring us towards the connection with the Creator, towards adhesion with the Creator.
Student: And how is it different from our current state?
M. Laitman: We don't have that state.
Student: The state of connection with the Creator, we don't have that? But there is a force that manages us.
M. Laitman: Managing doesn't mean that we're connected with that force. It means that He is governing us, He is watching over us. We are calling upon this force. We feel that we're missing it. Without it, we are truly tossed away. But we need to, with stubbornness and with persistence, to beat on that point. And then for sure we will reach that.
Reader: We're going to read Excerpt No. 2. Rabash writes:
Reading: (28:00) 2. RABASH, Letter No. 34 - Twice
The essence of the work is prayer, since only by prayer can one exit the public domain and enter the domain of the Single one. This is so because when it comes to prayers, great and small are equal. Moreover, one who feels one’s lowness can offer a more genuine prayer from the bottom of the heart, for he knows about himself that he cannot deliver himself from the strait on his own. Then, he can say that actually, those who were created with special talents and qualities of subtlety can do something on their own, whereas those without the special gifts and good qualities need heaven’s mercy. Thus, only this person can offer an honest prayer.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:54) What makes a prayer a really true prayer?
M. Laitman: A true, real prayer raises a deficiency to the Creator where He still wants to help us. He certainly wants to help us, and help us rise up to the understanding of our prayer, and for us to advance through it.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (31:40) How can we feel the Creator within us? Or do we feel the Creator outside of ourselves, that prayer, that connection between us, or in different states of before and after the prayer? Where is the Creator?
M. Laitman: We can't say where the Creator is. There's not a place where He is or He isn't. It's all in relation to the one who feels, to the one who reveals. Yes, the Creator is in our hearts. And it's revealed in the heart of each and every one the state of desire, to the measure of desire to reveal Him and be connected to Him.
Student: Meaning, it's not an inner voice with this, as a yearning of the heart. Rather, this is a common state of yearning to the Creator, a desire to connect?
M. Laitman: Yes.
Question (W Turkiye): (32:59) It says that one can leave the authority of the many and enter the single authority through prayer. What is the difference between the authority of the many and the authority of the single?
M. Laitman: The authority of many is a result of our work. The authority of the individual is when these authorities all accumulate into one authority.
Question (Buenos Aires): (34:27) When we say that we need to depict for ourselves the image of the Creator inside our heart, if we're saying that we have to include everything that we receive from every friend inside our common heart, is this the right direction?
M. Laitman: Yes, as much as possible. Be together as much as possible in the questions, in the answers, in the efforts, in whatever is possible.
Question (Almaty): (35:19) I have a question about our organization. Lately, there's a trend to build prayers through artificial intelligence. Some of the friends read prayers that were created by AI, and I can't accept it. Am I right?
M. Laitman: Everyone's right in something. You can't say about a person that he's right when he's in the beginning of his path. We'll move forward, and then we'll discover whether you're right or not.
Question (W ITA): (36:21) Is prayer looking for the point of connection until I feel a real special state where the “I” does not exist anymore but only “us?” Or is it related to seeing our deficiencies first?
M. Laitman: We need to try and come to one heart and incorporate in it.
Question (W MAK 35): (37:12) What is it that we as a Ten raise to the Creator in a complete prayer, which He will immediately answer?
M. Laitman: That you want to be in that same area that the whole world Kli will enter. That is what you want. That's what you ask the Creator for.
Question (W Chile Sur): (38:03) How can we exit the domain of the many, if in that prayer we're asking for the many, so that the prayer will be whole? So, how can we connect this gap together?
M. Laitman: You're asking for the many. You will fill those desires with what the Creator will give them. That is the prayer.
Question (W Turkiye): (38:50) What should be our inner attitude so that one will receive from One?
M. Laitman: One's inner way of relating to it should be that each, actually everyone, nullifies themselves and wants to connect together in one desire. And in this desire, they want to feel and reveal the Creator.
Question (CzechSlovak): (39:35) How can we together attain the truthfulness of our prayer?
M. Laitman: The reality?
Student: The true prayer. How can we attain a true prayer? How can we come to a true prayer?
M. Laitman: I don't know. We need to ask until it is revealed.
Student: He writes here, let me read. However, “those who don't have special qualities and talents need the mercy of heaven. Only such a person can give a true prayer.” So, how do we attain such a true prayer?
M. Laitman: By attaining to the extent in which we discover that we are still in zero, and we want to attain something within our vessels in order to act; and with this, onwards.
Student: A person should feel lowliness and that he is zero and nothing in order to raise a prayer?
M. Laitman: In part, yes.
Student: And can you raise a prayer from somewhere else? Let's say now we're in Congress, soon there will be a meal, we will feel the exaltedness, happiness. Is there room for a prayer from that stage?
M. Laitman: At this stage, yes.
Student: And where is the point of lowliness and feeling nothing in the moment of greatness and elation?
M. Laitman: It does not negate or cancel everything. The point of lowliness must be. Otherwise, I won't connect with the Creator.
Student: I'm sitting now with my friends in a common meal, all the Ten is around me. We're drinking, eating, singing, reading sources, and together we raise a prayer from the joy of connection between us.
M. Laitman: That too is possible, but it's not a true prayer.
Student: And why is that?
M. Laitman: Because you're not raising up the lack.
Student: What is missing?
M. Laitman: Check. Check. I don't think it's enough. The prayer itself is the revelation of how lowly we are, or how needy we are. And if you're not raising that need, eventually that's not a prayer.
Student: And lowliness, is it accompanied with a feeling of heaviness and descent?
M. Laitman: Of a descent, yes.
Student: So, how do you combine these two states together? On the one hand, feeling joy and happiness, and smile to the friends; and on the other hand, in lowliness and a descent, in such a heavy place - these are two opposite states.
M. Laitman: Although they are two opposed states, and yet we can connect between these two.
Student: And what connects them together?
M. Laitman: A deficiency that is adhered to the Creator.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (43:39) There are many desires in the heart, and in between them, there's the desire for the Creator. How not to disconnect ourselves from Him, not even for a moment, the desire for the Creator, and give Him everything that He expects of us? How do we overcome the disturbances?
M. Laitman: You can overcome the disturbances through discovering our lacks in which I want to be connected to the Creator, and be in contact with Him that does not end. And in this non-stop connection, continue until the revelation of our connection, of mine and the Creator, our connection, and how to say this, until we reveal such a connection between us that will cover all of reality.
Question (Ekaterinburg): (45:02) How is the true prayer related to the love of friends?
M. Laitman: A true prayer can be only in longing for a connection with the friends, no other way. Let's focus ourselves and define what is that state in which we are connected in the absolute way between us and the Creator, so that we will give birth to that state between us, so we will appeal to Him, and yearn for Him, and then feel how we are coming closer to Him. In that point, we will put a point, and we will measure whether we have come closer or not. Have we come closer somewhat? What are we doing next? Again, we raise the desire to the Creator in the longing of being together with Him, and in such a way, we constantly advance towards the Creator, closer and closer to Him.
Question (Dnepr 2): (46:52) How can we reach a state from which comes a true, complete prayer? What should be or shouldn't be in that state?
M. Laitman: In order to come to a state like that, we can do it only if we have such an emptiness in us that we want to fill in the feeling of the Creator, only then. So, what we are learning with you today, trying to express with our words, that is exactly that prayer that is aimed and longs for the Creator. Don't try to escape it in any possible way to anywhere. Constantly be with it and feel how it fills you, and then you will feel how you can attain it.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (48:14) There’s another way to raise a common prayer from the bottom of the heart, and this is by singing.
M. Laitman: Through a song is correct, yes.
Song: (48:25)
Reader: We have 3,000 virtual connections for the gathering around the world, 2,000 friends here in Petah Tikva in Israel, and many more friends all around the world. So, we have a large common heart. And let's hear Rabash, how he directs us in excerpt number three.
Reading: (51:55) 3. RABASH, Article No. 37 (1991), "What Is the 'Torah' and What Is 'The Statute of the Torah,' in the Work?" - Twice
A person sees that it is unrealistic that he will have the strength to go against nature.
At that time, one has no choice but to turn to the Creator and say, “Now I have come to a state where I see that unless You help me, I am lost. I will never have the strength to overcome the will to receive, as this is my nature. Rather, only the Creator can give another nature.”
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (53:43) So, after all the hesitations and difficulties, and let's say I have arrived, I came to the correct prayer. Is there a state that after the answering of the prayer, that the deficiency will fade away as well? That the deficiency will fade away, will disappear?
M. Laitman: That, I don't know, but if I'm afraid that it might elude me, then it is certain that it will protect me.
Question (W Italia): (54:45) How can we reach this inner point of connection, which we all want now in order to reach our one common prayer.
M. Laitman: Only through prayer, only by connecting our inclinations towards connection together, only by that. Besides that, we also need to understand that the prayer must be from the depth of the heart towards a true place. Meaning, to the extent in which we try to measure ourselves - where we are, and where we need to go to, by what do we get there - all of that will shorten time.
Question (Petah Tikva Center): (55:40) What is the depth, the bottom of the heart, and what is the real place? What are these two extremes?
M. Laitman: The depth of the heart, meaning to the extent in which we discover that we're not yet in the purpose of creation. And we are trying to reveal it and connect between us in order to be drawn to it from our common force towards the force of the purpose of creation. That is actually our goal.
Question (W KabU 2): (56:22) The friends in my Ten want very much to start feeling the true connection of the hearts between us. How to persuade the Creator to grant us that connection?
M. Laitman: We need to convince, appeal to Him, as much as possible, all of you, together in connection, and demand from Him that you need the strength, the understanding, the feeling of that place where you need to be, where you are, and where you want to be. And then, in such a way, everything is open before you. Try.
Question (W Lithuania): (57:45) The right thought is in the prayer. So, how to insert it into the heart?
M. Laitman: Constantly think about it, and what is in your heart, and don't let it get out from the heart. That is actually our work.
Question (Kyiv): (58:51) In the Congress, many friends with experience participate, and there are friends who are here for the first time, and we would like to hear from you, dear Rav, some recommendation how to connect between us; the veteran friends, the new friends who are here for the first time.
M. Laitman: Connect through what we learn so that you all understand what is being talked about in these verses, and that you want to be together, and within this upper one, this One. That's it.
Question (W French): (01:00:04) If the Creator knows how to read what's on our heart, is it enough for us that He reads what's on our heart, or should we pray nonetheless?
M. Laitman: We need to discover the desire. What we want from Him, how He will connect to our desire, and raise our desire above all the discernments. That is what we want, and then we will succeed. Only then will we succeed.
Question (W Barcelona): (01:01:16) How can our common prayer help us ask the Creator for a second nature for the entire group?
M. Laitman: Our prayer can, because we feel in an action from the Creator, in how He appeals to us all, hence, we can, through this desire He awakens in us, turn to Him and demand the general connection.
Student: Will we raise a common prayer?
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: Do we feel this common prayer?
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: And the answering of the prayer?
M. Laitman: And the answering of the prayer as well.
Student: A common, mutual.
M. Laitman: Yes.
Student: But everyone gave another effort, exertion?
M. Laitman: As long as we ask. The main thing is to put forth our prayer.
Question (W Europe 1): (01:02:42) What is your prayer for all your spiritual children all around the world, particularly young in this Congress? What are you praying for us to achieve?
M. Laitman: I want all my children, my students, for them all to want to connect together as one man in one heart for us to reach that feeling of the “one.” That's all I want.
Question (W MAK 137): (01:03:49) There's none else besides Him. It follows that the Creator Himself brings us to prayer. Is it correct?
M. Laitman: Yes, of course, it's that way.
Question (W Turkiye): (01:04:15) A person cannot overcome alone his will to receive. So, when the Creator gives a person a second nature, will he be able permanently to be above the will to receive?
M. Laitman: Not in a permanent way, not with complete certainty, but it depends on the person and how much he labors to be connected with the others and through them with the Creator.
Question (Vienna): (01:05:16) How can we unite all of our prayers together into one common prayer?
M. Laitman: By asking for the Creator to give us the strength to be in Him.
Question (W Romania 1): (01:06:14) How can we identify the different special qualities that are in the longing of the Ten for the Creator?
M. Laitman: We will discover them, and discover the extent in which they are all adding to one another, and connect us to the Creator in a unified, permanent way in which we will rise to the degree of the Creator.
Question (W New York): (01:07:04) How important is it to expect our prayer to be answered? How important is the expectation?
M. Laitman: It is very important. By raising a request for connection with the Creator, to adhesion, and so on, it is very important. Specifically upon that, the Creator is revealed.
Question (China): (01:07:48) How can we ignite the deficiency of friends and not put them into sleep?
M. Laitman: By example. You should give them an example of what should be.
Question (Petah Tikva Center - from Moscow 7): (01:08:45) Rabash and Baal HaSulam write in all of their articles that only the Creator can help us. And each of us for years is trying to convince the Creator to somehow push him in any possible way until he reaches a state where he is disappointed, despaired of his own forces, and into a true request from the bottom of the heart. But this is an individual prayer, a labor. And now all of us together want to reach a common, united heart. So, where is this depth of this common heart from where the true prayer is born?
M. Laitman: One heart is one desire which each of you, individually, within him, connects with the other hearts, and raises them to the Creator so that the Creator will take it and begin to work with it. I think that we're advancing towards this in the correct way, and that we're close to it. Maybe during this Convention, we need to start feeling already the connection of the Creator with us.
Student: You said that perhaps in this Congress, we will already feel the connection of the Creator with us. Meaning, it can happen, and it cannot happen.
M. Laitman: We must feel Him. We're already practically within Him, and we need to feel Him such that it will be possible through our efforts, great or small, the connection between us, so that we will manage to work with Him and control our connection with Him.
Student: So, we don't have an illusion that I don't invent anything for myself, imagine. When a person gets a stable connection with the Creator, can he confuse it or replace it with something else?
M. Laitman: In principle, not.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (01:12:45) How should we feel together in one common prayer before, during and after the prayer, so that we will bring contentment to the Creator and become as one man with one heart?
M. Laitman: You need to hold on to Him. We could say, hug Him, be tight with Him, and to maximally and permanently be in that state.
Reader: Next we have excerpt number four. We will read, and then we will have more questions.
Reading: (01:13:41) 4. RABASH, Article No. 246, "Concerning Shekalim – 2"
When a person wants to make a move in order to bestow, if he begins to weigh its benefits, the body objects to him because it does not see what it can gain if he acts in order to bestow.
At that time, his only counsel is prayer. This is the meaning of what our sages said, “A prayer makes half.” It was said about this, “The Lord helps us,” which our sages explained, “Were it not for the Creator’s help, he would not overcome it.” It follows that a person can only give half, which is a prayer, and the other half the Creator gives.
Question (W Petah Tikva Center): (01:14:55) How can we reach a state where we truly feel the difference between where we are now and where is the Creator, to understand what exactly misses us?
M. Laitman: We need to ask the Creator to give us the correct deficiency, to be aimed towards that point of connection between us so that it will be the point of our lack, which we need to feel within us, between us, within us.
Question (Turkiye 1): (01:16:40) What is a stronger attack that can connect us?
M. Laitman: Look, we are not talking about attacks. These, or those, or those attacks, being better or worse. We receive everything that we receive as an attack that comes from the Creator and guides us straight to the right connection, straight to the correct connection.
Student: He is asking what kind of an attack should come on our behalf so that it will connect us more.
M. Laitman: What attack needs to be on our behalf? I don't know what to say.
Question (Piter): (01:18:19) The text says that the other half is given by the Creator. How does a person feel that other half? How is it expressed? How does a person feel the half that should come to him from the Creator? In the prayer, we say that there is half from man, half from the Creator. So, how does a person feel His half that should come from the Creator?
M. Laitman: If he correctly tries to connect to the situation, to the state, then in the half of the Creator, he will feel what he needs to be.
Reader: Rav, we are coming to the end of this lesson, and we wanted to ask you, how do you conclude the first lesson, whose topic is the power of prayer?
M. Laitman: Yes. What do I want to say at the end of this lesson? I am, on one hand, satisfied, and on the other hand, unsatisfied. I am satisfied that there are many new connections, and they demand the goal, to feel it, to aim themselves correctly towards it. And I hope that we will do this, all together. We have two more days to meet, and it will be so.
Reader: You're happy about that. What are you unhappy about?
M. Laitman: What am I not satisfied of? That there are many people, that it appears like there are many people who don't understand, if we could say it this way, they don't understand the questions. They don't understand the questions. That is a sign that they don't have, that they don't yet have the reception, or the absorption of the lessons in them.
Reader: And this is something natural, or can we improve it?
M. Laitman: Certainly, it needs to be improved, and they can improve it, and that's why I brought it up. So, please try and examine this lesson and the next lessons. What in them will not be understood right, and it is desirable for you to do so in Hebrew or in Russian, and I will try to answer.
Reader: Still, I want to push you a little bit more. What does it mean that we don't understand? We don't understand the deficiency of the person asking?
M. Laitman: How does it happen, where we don't feel or understand the deficiency of the person who's asking? I don't know what to answer. I don't know what to answer.
Reader: We will conclude with excerpt number ten from Zohar for All.
Reading: (01:23:22) 10. Zohar for All, Shemot [Exodus], "Sigh, Cry, and Outcry", Items 356-357
One who prays and cries and cries out until he can no longer move his lips, this is a complete prayer that is in the heart. It is never returned empty, but is accepted. Great is the cry for it tears a man’s sentence from all his days.
Reader: So, on behalf of the world, Kli, thank you so much for the lesson you gave us. In the afternoon, we're going to have another lesson, and now we will sing a song together, and then we will sit back and summarize our lesson.
Song: (01:24:12)
