In the individual there is no power if he studies alone, because our power can only come from the group. This is why the Zohar was written that way and they always talk on behalf of everyone. After, they sat and attained the Upper wisdom; after that, they sat and wrote The Zohar as a group. First, Rabbi Shimon and his son, Rabbi Elazar, sat for thirteen years and attained the wisdom itself. That's called Zohar, which means: The Rosh of Arich Anpin (the head of Arich Anpin)—that's the spiritual degree. Then they sat with the other friends and they were able to interpret it. Rabbi Shimon spoke and Rabbi Aba was able to write, and others discussed it. Then they were able to express, to bring forth that wisdom. They were able to detail it in a way that it is put into definitions and words, and Rabbi Aba could write it.
