World Kabbalah Convention 2017 “All As One”

Lesson 4: “The Center of the Group”

  1. The Nukva is in the secret of guiding the entire world and is called “heart” since by this secret the heart of man is established, and with the heart one understand and feels. Likewise the feelings of all the actions of all the worlds reach the Nukva because she is impressed from the lower ones. It follows that all the hearts of men are merely parts of that heart, meaning that all the souls are rooted in the Nukva, and therefore they are called her organs and hence they are MA”N, because she is not considered whole until she joins with all her branches. This matter of the heart extends to all the souls that are grounded in her. It follows that this state of the heart is incomplete until it includes all the discernments of the heart that extend from it in all the souls. And when it includes all of them it becomes “wise” (knowing) as in “the understanding heart” in all governess… since all the souls are gathered in the Nukva, which is the root of the upper heart, and then the heart functions properly, and divides its leadership to all the sides, accordingly.
    Ramchal, Adir Bamarom

  2. The discernment of Zivug Panim is called integration of Nukva with Dechura, since by the greatness of the whole without any diminishing, which is the measure of Israel’s yearning for the Creator, as the sages said, each and every one shows with his finger saying, this is our Creator, in Him do we hope. And they made unification with Him and integrated with Him and became One, through the extent of their adhesion and yearning which they awakened in themselves toward the Creator. And also the measure of the yearning that awakens in the Creator to adhere to the Assembly of Israel… Thus the unification is made through integration, and is called Dechura by the integration of the discernment of Nukva with Dechura..
    Maor Einayim, Beresheet

  3. It is known that “The whole earth is full of His glory.” This is what every person should believe, as it is written, “I fill the heaven and the earth.” However, the Creator has made a concealment so that we cannot see Him so as to have room for choice, and then there is room for faith—to believe that the Creator “fills all the worlds and encompasses all the worlds.” And after a person engages in Torah and Mitzvot and keeps the commandment of choice, the Creator reveals Himself to him, and then he sees that the Creator is the ruler of the world.
Thus, at that time a person makes the king who will rule over him. That is, a person feels that the Creator is the ruler of the world, and this is regarded as a person making the Creator king over him. As long as one has not come to such a feeling, the Creator’s kingship is concealed. This is why we say, “On that day, the Lord will be one and His name, ‘One.’”
    Rabash, Vol 2, Letter 76

  4. Everything is one unity because at the root, from which there is the extension of knowledge, from the world of Bina, there is no division and no disputes. Indeed, when raising all the disputes to the original source, to the world of unity, there is unity over the names of the children of Israel..
Rabbi Menachem of Chernobyl, Maor Eynaim [Light of the Eyes], Vayetze [And Jacob Went Out]

  5. The righteous, although they each serve the Creator in a different style, in any case they aim toward the same thing - toward their father in heaven. And they assemble and gather one with the other as one man with one heart, and each diminishes himself and exalts the work of the Creator, giving his strength and mind to the Creator. For this reason one does not take pride over one’s friend and they are in the world of Yosher, united one with the other.
    Avodat Yisrael, Shlach

  6. They were seated in a Goren (crescent) with affection and friendship, as one bundle like the Sanhedrin, not mistrusting each other, to be able to see each other and hear each other conversing one with the other, until a clear guidance emerged..
Rashi’s Interpretation on the Talmud Bavli, Masechet Holin

  7. Come and Let me show you that love of friends is interwoven with the love of the Creator, since the measure of the force of love of friends is in honor of the love of the Creator, namely that one must remember that it was created in the image and likeness of the upper, and the part of the soul within him is part of the Creator above. For this reason we are called the Assembly of Israel since we are all joined together and united in the secret of His unification.
The Holy SHA”LO, Thoughts on Shaar HaOtiot

  8. When a person makes up his heart and mind to reach adhesion with the Upper Light that illuminates on all the assembly of Israel… he is filled with the Divine Light according to the measure of the assembly, of which Israel is its center and essence and thus he also adheres with the collective light of the Creator that is revealed through all the Havaya… and consequently he unite his reason with the upper divinity above the Havaya, and his soul is filled with life, full of holiness and great glory and strength, and with his additional force he adds power to the collective of Israel because he is a part of her, and naturally he adds strength on the level of Adam and all the worlds.
Rav Kook, Orot, Chapter 3, Adhesion and Connection in the Collective of Israel

  9. One must not exclude oneself from the public and ask for oneself, not even to bring contentment to one’s maker, but only for the entire public. One who departs from the public to ask specifically for one’s own soul does not build. On the contrary, he inflicts ruin upon his soul, as in (Midrash Rabah, Ch 7, item 6), “All who is proud, he and I cannot dwell in the same place” for there cannot be one who retires from the public unless with an attire of pride. Woe unto him, for he inflicts ruin on his soul. Even during work, when one prays alone, against his will he departs from the public and ruins his soul, and there was no awakening for any individual in the assembly of Israel to ask for anything individually, for no one needed anything because they did not feel as separate selves, and this was their power to come out of Egypt with a mighty hand. Thus, every one must gather with all of one’s strength into the whole of Israel with every plea to the Creator in the prayer and in the work and include himself in the root of all of Israel
Baal Hasulam, Not the Time for the Livestock to Be Gathered

  10. Truly, the most important thing necessary to attain the Creator’s Path is the adhesion of friends. As it says in Pirkei Avot, “Buying Torah one from his friend, namely, by the means with which one can buy the Torah is through the adhesion of the friends.” And how can the adhesion of friends be achieved? When assembling together and each is annulled before his friend, when he sees his friend’s greatness and he becomes low in his own eyes, and his friend is greater than him. And he loves each and every one, and his desire and yearning is to really integrate in each and every one, because of his great joy and love.
    Maor VaShemesh, Re’eh

  11. The essence of love and unity is in the aspect of the will, when each is content with his friend, and there is no variance between them, and all are incorporated into one desire, and thus they are incorporated in the upper will, which is the purpose of Unity.
Likutei Halachot, Hoshen Mishpat, Halachot Arev, 3:30

  12. 105) It is written, why have I come and there is no man? How loved are Israel before the Creator, wherever they are, the Creator is with them because He has not removed His love from them, as it is written, “And let them make Me a Temple, that I may dwell among them”. Let them make me a temple, just a temple because every synagogue in the world is called temple. And I will dwell among them, since the Shechinah comes to the synagogue early.
    106) Happy is the man who is among the first ten at the synagogue because by them is the congregation completed, which it is not less than ten. They are the ones who are sanctified by the Shechinah first. But there must be ten in the synagogue at the same time, and not come bit by bit, so that the completion of the organs is not detained, for all ten are as organs of a single body in which Divinity dwells, for the Creator has made man at once and established for him all the organs at the same time.
Zohar, Why Have I Come and there is No Man, Nasso, Items 105-108

  13. 894) How fortunate are Israel, who know how to enter the marrow of the nut. Holiness is like the marrow of a nut, which is surrounded by shells. To enter the marrow they break these shells that surround it and enter.
After all that, it is written, “On the eighth day you shall have an assembly.” For once all those shells have been broken—several forces have been broken, and several serpents and scorpions have been killed, which they had in those mountains of darkness until they found a settlement and a holy city, holy Malchut, surrounded with walls all around—they entered it on the eighth of the assembly, to please her and delight in her.
    895) This is the meaning of what is written, “You shall have an assembly.” Atzeret means “assembly,” Malchut is where everything is assembled, the receptacle for all the upper lights. “You shall have,” and not another, meaning that the Sitra Achra has no part in it. Rather, you will rejoice in your Master, and He with you. It is written about it, “Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.”
Zohar, The Pouring of Water, Items 894-895

  14. The Gemara said that in the future the Creator will make a dance for the righteous and He will dwell among them, because a dance is in a circle, meaning that they will all stand in a circle and the Creator, like the middle point in the circle. “And each one will point with his finger, behold, this is our God” meaning that each one equally will have great attainment, and this attainment will come from the Creator’s mercies and not because of their own deeds.
