Ushpizin Aaron - Sefirat Hod - Selected Excerpts from the Sources

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LbLmttx9_KB97zhaujgBG8B-v7O5GUoZg9sZCu_EtOc/edit

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:20) The Sefira of Hod in the Partzuf what is it unique in? First of all because it is the right side, the side of Aaron. Tiferet, even the word itself, splendor beauty it speaks about something truly special. What is special about it, we see this also from the stories in the Torah. That Aaron was guiding Moses in all of his actions, and in that he was great, the great partner of Moses. Besides that, the force of Aaron we must have it as he tells us here, let's read.

Reading excerpt 1 (01:54) “Come and see, Aaron was the right arm of the body...”

2. R. (02:58) This means that we must have the quality of Aaron to be a quality of its own because he directs as it says here, that he directs and guides the force of Moses in his actions.  Therefore he's called, well lets say a friend of Malchut. This quality is necessary in order to annul meaning for him to be conspicuous because specifically thanks to him as he says that specifically through this quality that comes from the phase of the quality of Hesed. We have the ability to reach the reception of the burden of the kingdom of heaven, to accept the burden. I will find a few more words soon, it's a bit hard for me today.

3. S. (04:44) Why does it say here that it is Tiferet, that Aaron was the right arm of Tiferet?

R. Tiferet, but why was he the right side because actually through this quality the entire body, the Guf expresses itself because what we have here, well the most important thing in Aaron is Hafetz Hesed, delighted in Mercy because as it says here that he was he was content in each and every situation that he was in. This is mostly Hafetz Hesed, desiring Mercy meaning wanting nothing  for himself so long as he has the possibility to help others, so then he's already corrected, established, content and then this quality he can bestow to everyone. He also adds here that he is content because of the acceptance of the burden of the Kingdom of Heaven is from the side of Hesed and not the side of Hochma, that’s rather above reason. We will see this later.

Reading excerpt 2 (06:21) “We need to know that the right arm...”

4. R. (06:36) Hassadim, wide open.

5. R. (07:59) This means that what happened in the entire group or the body or the nation is that the quality of Aaron was giving the general quality of the bestowal and therefore they were able to fight against the evil inclination. Whereas when Aaron died they started to think each one about himself and they were already fights and problems and they were not able to fight with the foreign, external forces.

6. S. (08:49) What does it mean that they lost the part of bestowal? What does it mean Aaron died suddenly?

R. Such things happen because all of the disernments must be revealed in the body, all of the forces and qualities from both sides and from the middle line and therefore there is constantly a combination of things. As we learned Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and now it is Aaron. Later we will also have Joseph and David.

S.The fact that he delights in Mercy, shouldn't that cover the state that is now revealed?

R. No it is not enough, if it was enough Hafetz Hesed, delighted in Mercy would be enough. Everything would be built in delighted in Mercy, why would we need additional qualities? Rather we see here how much each and every quality which is unique, it also requires support from the other qualities. It is not simple.

S. What does it mean that there's a quality that covers everything but it is only a part of the entire Partzuf?

R. The fact that he covers them does not mean that it could be in their place. Because otherwise they would be only one quality and that is it and the Creator would create the will to receive and would clothe it in the quality of Hesed.

S. When he says that he needed nothing, doesn't this quality have a desire a yearning to develop and to advance somehow?

R. No because that is the quality, Hesed, right, above reason. Each one has a special ability to connect with the Creator.

7. S. (11:22) What is the special quality of Aaron that he extended his power to the people of Israel?

R. First of all, Aaron is the big brother of Moses and he is a Kohen, a priest meaning a very special force that strengthens and guides the people forward. He creates a connection for the people and even though we usually learn that priests are a heart force but along with that we see how necessary it is and how soft it is, we will talk more about it. It’s impossible from a single excerpt to bring all the qualities of Aaron.

Reading excerpt 3 (12:36) “The whole exertion begins when a person wants to go..”

8. R. (13:10) Meaning that same force that lets a person walk in above reason and that it comes from above or it can come seemingly from the Creator or it can come by the person demanding this force, that he asks the Creator to help him.

Continue reading excerpt 3 (13:33) “The Time He Begins to...”

9. R. (14:20) Here indeed Rabash is giving us two possibilities of how we can approach the force through which we acquire faith above reason. Either it comes by us waiting patiently when we will get it or we are already breaking and burst and demand in all forms of demand and crying out that the Creator will give us this force of above reason. In Truth a person always goes through the first and second stage but how long will he be in the first stage where he is just waiting to get it, and then reaches the second stage where he breaks through and he demands it. That depends on the person, it depends on the group, it depends on how much they understand that here it is the group’s demand that can help each and everyone to shorten his path.

10. S. (15:49) We hear that Aaron dies and the quality of Hesed or bestowal dies there. What do you do in that state?

R. First of all we should have the quality of Aaron then we will talk about it. Meaning of the quality of Hesed passes away from the person in order to give him a possibility also to advance because if it was only the quality of Hesed then seemingly he cannot advance. Hesed is a quality that also blocks our advancement, it does not let the will to receive develop.

S. As we learn the advancement is always on both legs?

R. Yes yes in truth the advancement is on the middle of line, the right. Advancement is when we use these two forces the right and the left in order to advance with both of them meaning in the middle, on the middle line.

S. Jacob who is the middle line and he has no existence without Abraham and Isaac, he by himself does not exist?

R. That is true, correct.

Reading excerpt 4 (17:24) “Aaron is from the word Hirhur...”

11. R. (18:20) We have such words here that we quite don't understand, we don't study them and that there's not a problem. In short the two of them Moses and Aaron, they both operate towards  the connection of the people and the advancement of the people and they draw upon the entire nation. Meaning all the forces, all the Sefirot that are in the group, they draw upon the upper bestowal, upper influence.

Reading excerpt 5 (19:01) “A person himself cannot feel it...”

12. R. (20:26) What does Rabash tell us, he wants to divide for us the rows between the force called Moses and the force called Aaron. Aaron prepares the vessels and Moses arranges them so that they will be connected in order to pass the upper light from above down.

Reading excerpt 5 again (20:57)

13. S. (22:20) We are supposed to be a kingdom of priests, what of that relates to the role of  Aaron, what should we do there?

R. What do we take from it? To support all the actions of the people of Israel, to raise them above reason. Aaron actually pulls the people, all the qualities of a person and all the connections between people towards that. That is the right connection between all the broken pieces, between all the broken pieces of the soul, the soul of Adam HaRishon has to be such that they will be able to receive the upper light meaning they will be able to ignite and turn on. It says here that Aaron was responsible for the lighting of the candles for all the things that should have been  done in the temple, meaning in the group.  And by what does he do it, by drawing the light from above which is the quality of Moses and then he brings this light to the vessels that are already connected and corrected and this is the role of Aaron. Meaning they cannot work without one another, Moses without Aaron and Aaron without Moses but nevertheless on the other side their roles are different, so it cannot be done by single quality but only through both qualities and in that they are actually opposites.

Reading excerpt 6 (24:57) “In order to surrender those who come from the left side...”

14. R. (25:20) Yes that's why we needed specifically in order to correct the left, we have to correct it with the right. There's something and its opposite here, how much these two qualities are opposites and seemingly they're not doing the right, their correct role. If Aaron is from the right side Hesed, then how can it be that we actually see the qualities of Aaron of how much they are hard from the other side. Well we will see.

Reading excerpt 7 (26:16) “It is written about Aaron and Aaron raised his hands...”

15. R. (27:56) If he is holding himself above the left then he is not wrong in the work and he advances correctly, this is considered that he's using the blessing of Aaron. Elevating his hands and blessing the people in this way, blessing all of the qualities so that eventually they will advance and connect and will reach the scrutiny of the name of the Lord.

16. S. (28:37)  Can you put things in order for me, I'm confused. I know there's one quality against the other for example Abraham is the right, Isaac is the left and Jacob is the middle. Moses I thought was the right and Aaron should seemingly be on the left, but now we say that Aaron is also on the right, so where is the mistake here?

R. People always ask that and they get confused about it and I'm certain that even now all of our friends who are in the lesson, most of them and if not all of them are confused about it.  We will gradually scrutinize these things from the articles. With just these excerpts we can’t scrutinize it, it is not enough. We need a story that will explain to us what is the connection between these qualities and how they help scrutinize each other. I am happy that you are patient.

17. S. (29:54) He writes in the first excerpt, whatever state he is in he is satisfied. What is that state and how can he reach it?

R. Through the reforming light as usual, what else can I answer. When a person nevertheless tries to be connected to the group and he works with them and they connect together all of them, then the upper light operates on them in such a way that they are content with whatever they have.

18. S. (30:32) In what does the left help the right? Why does the right need the left to help?

R. Without the left there are no forces, the right can grow only on the condition that the left grows and pushes it to grow as the right. This is how it happens, one cannot exist without the other.

S. What is the connection between them, I cannot understand?

R. These are opposite qualities that exist in the person that only through the correct combination between the two of them the person scrutinizes the things that operate on him, the forces that operate on him and how he should overcome and behave and respond to them. I understand and it is always and as much as we study, always when we reach the quality of Aaron some confusion starts.

S. The left gives the right power and what does the right do with it? It rises over the left, what does it mean that the right goes over the left?

R. It covers the left and they work together.

S. What way does it cover it, I don't get it. I need the power to advance, let’s say I get it from the left, what does it mean that I cover it on the right?

R. In order to advance you must be in the force of bestowal. In order to be in the force of bestowal you need to feel that you have a greater force in reception, and then you develop the force of bestowal. You developed it to some extent and right now you feel that you are lacking the force of  reception, so you shift to the left and in this way from the left to the right to the right to the left and this is how you advance like walking on two legs. Soon, soon we will see it. I'm telling you that from these excerpts it is impossible to learn these things, but rather we have to take these articles and there's a reason why he wrote them and to read them completely, fully. Not a lot, these are five or six articles, however they can explain everything to us. What I recommend is that you will read these things in the group or maybe we should read them together, whichever way you want it, you can decide about it.

19. S. (33:43) It says that the right here corrects the left. We know that on the other hand that the right and the left should be equals, how does that work out?

R. To cover and complete one another.

S. What does it mean to complete one another?

R. To complete means that whatever is in one, so the other force should come and arrange the first force.

S. And the fact they are equal qualities?

R. That within both of them as much as they advance, this is how they complete each other through the contradiction between them.In the end everything is arranged in the middle line.

S. Can we project it so we will understand better what it means that the right corrects the left, maybe as an example?

R. Of course the right corrects the left.

S. How can you project into  the ten as an example?

R. All of the egoistic forms that awaken in the ten, so as it says love covers all crimes, but we need the crimes otherwise the love also cannot express itself.

S. How do transgressions come into the ten so that we can truly cover the left?

R. The Creator arranges it, I created the evil inclination and we just need to know how to cover these things. To try and also not to know precisely how but to pray, to ask that the Creator will cover those desires to receive all of those corruptions with the right.

20. S. (35:39) Can we think of Aaron as individual effort and Moses as group work?

R. No, no, maybe this is how it appears from a few of these excerpts but you can even say the opposite. Aaron comes from the side of the people and Moses comes more individually. No, this is not how we speak about them.

Reading excerpt 8 (36:36) “Aaron was rewarded with higher prophecy...”

21. R. (36:58) This means that among all the priests he was the greatest priest, we do not need to hear more than that.

Reading excerpt 9 (37:07) “Moses said but they will not believe me...”

22. R. (39:05) This means that a person who walks on the path each one of us, if he elevates the force of bestowal above the force of reception it is considered that he is going correctly, and if he walks in such a way then the staff that was down in importance for him, actually becomes for him up in importance and then he advances correctly. This is considered the staff of Aaron budded, meaning that he has blessing on the path and he is going towards the purpose of creation.  Then he sees that his whole development that he had was specifically from the staff of Aaron.  We just need to realize why he is called Aaron. Aaron is from the box, the Ark in which the Torah, when Moses wrote the Ten Commandments the people received earlier on Mount Sinai so they put it in the Ark of the Covenant, but then you will have to explain that, if you say a box, that is more clear but it is called Haaron Kadosh, the holy Ark or box and this is where the name Aaron comes from.

That he holds within himself, he incorporates the Torah. Also Aaron’s staff will clearly if he holds it in his and then he's going above the reason, and if he casts the staff down in importance, if he throws it on the ground then the staff becomes a serpent. Here we see the two forms of our work and we need to try to be sensitive to it. When we hold a staff by the hand and then we are going forward correctly with faith above reason towards the forces of bestowal that constantly increase more and more. Or we forget about it or we are not able to hold the staff by the hand and then we cast it down on the ground and then it becomes a serpent. If we walk with a staff  in our hand then we reach a state where this staff bears fruit seemingly. Where all of the forces that it has inside of it, inside the staff, they come out from the staff of Aaron and this is the sign that  we reveal our work in the right way.

Reading excerpt 10 (43:26) “It is written and Moses's hands were heavy...”

23. S. (45:10) The force of intellect does not disappear from a person to the extent that he thinks he becomes stupid, rather without any brains, rather his faith goes above reason. It means that he who walks in faith above reason becomes actually wiser and smarter to the extent that the  greater his faith the more his reason grows and the person becomes wiser. One who walks above reason is wiser, one who walks below reason and trusts his mind and intellect becomes stupid, so what is happening here? Hands are the hands of Moses is a known concept, they are heavy and Moses cannot hold his hands up. Two friends came and held them up on the right and on the left. Then they brought stone which is the Stony heart. Also the understanding which will be not above but below their hands. In other words his entire attainment will be above one's understanding.

That is how Moses saved himself and the entire nation since his hands, the vessels of the reception received the heaviness, and Aaron and Hur they held his hands up. We will learn about who does this in the group, how do we do it, how they hold Israel's support, support in Moses, and Moses raises his hands with their help. And with his hands up they could receive the force of faith and in this way he held his hands, meaning he received the force of faith all throughout the time the light was shining, meaning from morning to evening. By that they seemingly annulled the entire force of knowing compared to the force of faith. There are many things there but we will hear about them just here for the first time what is happening.

24. S. (48:33) Can we say that the quality of Aaron is the primary force for building the vessel?

R. Look, in the building of the vessel, do you have anything that is more important or less important, rather it all depends on which order these forces appear in a person, that is what I would say.

Reading excerpt 11 (49:12)

25. R. (49:17) In the beginning you have to go through everything, that is how we are taught how to learn, how to study. First we read everything top to bottom and then start getting into explanations, scrutinies. That is what we do.

Excerpt 11 Continued (49:44) “If His Work is Based on...” Twice

26. S. (53:44) The staff of Aaron as he writes here, it is a sign of Kedusha or to the contrary, why do we need these signs, evidence if we are going for Kedusha?

R. How do you know if you are on the right path or not? If you are on the path above reason in the path of bestowal then you reached the budding the blooming of the staff buds. The staff was low in importance and you raise it so it becomes the most important and it is above high up in importance. I want nothing other than that and that is enough for you. Then the staff of Aaron budded meaning all of this budding came as a result of the force of Faith although the force of faith in and of itself is a tiny force it is not powerful. But it opens up just  like a key and it can be  tiny but if you insert it and you turn the key and the lock opens up an entire world opens up for you.

This is the matter of faith above reason. The small thing it's weak and there's no proof here, we cannot grasp it with your intellect with your feeling, but if you open it up suddenly you have as Baal HaSulam says I open to you gates that great chariots enter. That is exactly the small key called faith above reason and that is why it is the key to a person's entire spiritual success. We need to only think about that and this one begins to be clarified gradually. There are several stages here, first the one the previous stage where a person is ready to die, better off dead. We call it that I could not attain anything, that is on the one hand, on the other hand we nevertheless hold on with the help of the group, not his own strength but the group obligates him and here the main thing is subjugation towards the group and it holds him and he advances together with them. Little by little it becomes clear to him what is the force of faith, the force of faith above reason. This is the main thing.

27. S. (56:59) Maybe we received an answer already but it seems like the quality of Aaron is more difficult to receive it, to take it on than Moses?

R. I noticed a while back that always when we get to the Ushpizin of Aaron we have a problem. We run into a problem, we do not know exactly what is this quality because it is connected to the force of faith. Moses we also percieve wrongly as it appears to us as the force, a special force that pulls us, no but we'll learn about it, this has to come from a person from within a person. This scrutiny has to happen slowly because these things are not coming from the intellect which is how we typically want to understand to hold onto, to sort them out rather they come through a certain inner work.

There are many friends next to me I would say thousands, men, women and we wish to understand what it is talking about, we do not know and we cannot tell in our prayers  our efforts, are the prayer. Gradually here and there we begin to identify these things like a baby as much as they cannot feel and understand, it is not part of our world. He's present but he is not present, he is outside he is like a piece of meat or a rock or a rag or something, but gradually slowly by being in contact with us and with all the other objects he gradually begins to acquire senses and the right attitude, that he can arrange his moves and his intentions and so on and so forth and we are the same. Like a child enters an unfamiliar world and we need to help him become familiar with it and much of what he does, we prepare for him, we do for him and gradually he becomes bigger and bigger and takes upon himself greater roads and we are like that in spirituality. That is faith above reason and what did he tell us, you try, try to adhere as much as possible, read as much as possible, do something even if you don't understand, you don't know, just like children who do it.

They have an internal force of resistance that aims them towards participating in this world, he looks at what the grownups do and he takes it and does it. We buy for him plastic hammers, plastic cars and all kinds of things. By that they express their desire to resemble the grown-ups and we are the same. We need to try and resemble the grown-ups precisely. It is exactly like how we grow as children in this corporeal world, the same way we need to grow like children in the spiritual world, it will happen. We just help one another just as kids who look upon one another and they play together in the sandbox, building plastic houses out of blocks. Similarly, we need to help one another and from that we acquire intellect and feeling and we advance, it is the exact same actions, same direction. We have discussed now what is the meaning of the staff of Aaron, meaning if we go in faith above reason then we develop ourselves in the direction of faith, direction of bestowal.

We think in this world that faith is something that helps us throughout different incidences in this world, it is not the same faith as in spirituality first of all. We need to start to feel somehow but to feel the force of spiritual faith, spiritual faith is possible only to the extent that we appreciate it, we value it. Because something that we do not value something that is important to us we simply can't feel it, we disregard it and look down on it. It's also truly the other way around. If we give the importance to even the smallest thing then it becomes the greatest thing in our eyes and it opens up and we begin to feel how much and how important He is and how complex. In this way we enter the knowledge of the new qualities. We will read together with you number 12.

Excerpt 12 (01:03:52) “When Moses and Aaron Came to the Children of...”

28. R. (01:04:24) You see how it happens? Moses and Aaron come to the people to the children of Israel these two main qualities that come to these lower qualities called the children of Israel that exist in a person in a person's body. Then these qualities go from the Rosh into the Toch of the Partzuf, that is what Moses and Aaron say to the elders of the Nation, the sages of the nation and then it passes to the rest of the people the rest of the nation. To such an extent it says and they believed in the Creator and his servant Moses.

Reader Continues. (01:05:13) “We see from that, that as Soon as Moses and...”

29. S. (01:05:31) Before examining and before everything rather because they had faith above reason, meaning even though they didn't understand they couldn't feel anything but they accepted these things because they belong to Moses, Aaron and the Creator.

Reader Continues. (01:05:55) “And everything that the Egyptians made them...”

30. R. (01:06:24) Meaning they were once under the rule of Pharaoh and they would take only into consideration the intellect and the feeling and now they go above the intellect and above the feeling and this means they are ready for the Exodus from Egypt. That is the biggest step in going from reason to above reason and this way you come out from under the control of Pharaoh and the Egyptians, otherwise you don’t.

S. Did this mean that the people of Israel were ready already for Moses and Aaron to come to them?

R. It is not exactly ready but they are already developed in the direction of the Exodus, they wish to leave the discernment of reason and to some extent they want to understand together with that what is the next degree above reason how they can go from one state to another, how to jump over.

S. They needed these tokens in order to rise above them, above reason?

R. Yes. They are also afraid or concerned about the Red Sea because they don’t have it within their qualities, faith above reason is something that is completely, a completely new method for the perception of reality and we cannot take it from the past. What was in the exile from Egypt does not work outside of Egypt.

S. Where do they get the deficiency to rise in faith above reason? Where do they have the desire to do it with respect to the tokens?

R. We'll talk about it separately. This is the preparation from the Creator from before but we will chew and swallow those things slowly, it is ahead of us. We are now entering this transition. It is beautiful, it is complex, it is not clear and it's not clear not because it takes place in our mind and our feeling and our intellect but above are feeling and our intellect. We wish to break into that space then it becomes a bit more understood what it means to even rise above one's reason. We shall advance.

31. S. (01:10:30) Can I ask about the previous excerpt?

R. No, we are in something now, do not drag people behind you.

32. S. (01:10:44) What is the difference between Abraham and Aaron?

R. What is the difference between Abraham and Aaron? These are two degrees. Abraham is the father of the nation, Av, Am and Aaron is Moses’s brother. It is a different degree, different time, different development compared to what we have in a person when he discovers these states of Moses and Aaron.

33. S. (01:12:23) Why do we need Aaron, a priest, isn’t Moses enough, isn’t faith above reason enough for us to turn to the Creator?

R. Look I would say the following: why do we have other forces in addition to the Creator who work on us on all sides, they pressure us and turn us in this way and that way? The Creator is not enough, why should he reveal himself through so many phases? We will learn this gradually, why we need to be made up of so many forces where the upper force has to appear in so many opposing forms, different forms where we can barely distinguish between them, understand them, feel them, why does it happen? Again this happens only in order to get to give a person conditions by which he can exist in spirituality just like the Creator. You hear? You should exist in spirituality just like the Creator. That is why we have all those forces and of course we don't understand the need for all of them and more importantly what is the right combination of all these forces and in what are they in opposition because they are different and what are they connected but gradually it'll become clearer and clearer and we will know how to use all these forces just like in this life. Just like in our lives where we use many forces, many conditions and we build our lives this way. We will learn about it, everything will be gathered gradually.

Excerpts 13 (01:14:52): “Concerning the borrowing of the Kelim…”

34. S. (01:16:08) Meaning that in order to distinguish between the vessels of reception from vessels of receiving in order to bestow, which is a difference only in the intention, not in the vessels themselves. The will to receive remains the will to receive. There is no way for us to do anything with it only to use it from restriction to 100 percent of the will to receive but it is only the will to receive. If we place a condition that we wish to use the will to receive on condition that we can use it in order to bestow then this is called Holiness, sanctity and you can resemble the Creator in this way. So this is why we have two forces here: the force of a desire, which is the desire to receive and the force of the intention which is in order to bestow. We always need to measure, do I have an intention in order to cover the desire so it will be in order to bestow and that is how we use this desire and it means that we are using faith, the force of bestowal above reason, above reception.

35. S. (01:17:48) You said that the prophet is the one who has a direct connection with the Creator. We know that Moses was like that but how can we learn Aaron’s connection with the Creator even though he is the supreme prophet?

R. Same. Each one has his own style just like you have a few brothers and each one has a different connection to the mother, to the father, so it is here too. There is a connection but there is a different fashion for each one.

36. S. (01:18:39) You just said that we need to constantly measure the force of the will to receive and the force of the intention so it will cover the quality of bestowal but in advance I only have the intention in order to receive, I can change my desire but where is it? In order to receive? I can’t receive it.

R. You cannot because everything you have is in order to receive you are not examining yourself if you want to do it in order to bestow to someone, that is why this is the way it is. Using the will to receive without thinking, examining, thinking if it is in order to receive, it doesn't matter to us however bit by bit by learning, it starts mainly with the friends, to think is this in order to receive or to bestow what I'm trying to do and then bit by bit we start peeling off ourselves the intention of reception and we start distinguishing this is in order to receive an this is an order to bestow, this might be this thing of course it is from afar just like children playing a game bit by bit we come to that, okay?

S. Can we say that in advance to begin with the desire to receive and in order to receive is one thing?

R. No, the desires are different but the intention is always in order to receive. We were born this way, that is called the evil inclination, the intention in order to receive so we can distinguish if we have it at all and we have to invert it in order to bestow. This is in us innately and we cannot even understand that it may change. It takes a few good years of studying the wisdom of Kabbalah in the group until we start peeling the intention in order to receive out of our desires and instead of that think how it may be in order to bestow, that is called reaching faith above reason.

S. Another little refinement, can we say that in every person when he is born he has the evil inclination and in addition the Creator created for him so that in potential there will be the intention in order to bestow he just need to discover it?

R. Yes, you can say this way, yes.

37. S. (01:22:14) In Hebrew there's a word connection and there is the word lie. Two words with the same letters. In Hebrew in the past you explained already that lie is where we are in self-love and if we want to exit self-love to connection between us and bring contentment to the Creator, the lie becomes a connection. So now comes the question: do you see us Bnei Baruch, the world's vessel, at least with one foot already in order to exit to the pure world from self love.

R. Yes, we are already in the borderline between in order to receive to in order to bestow.

38. S. (01:23:19) You explained about the example with the children how they get directly and learn. We need to do this through the friends and here we lose the forces and the desires to do things because we don't have the ability to do it through the friends. If so, prayer is the only thing that can help us relative to the kids, because the kids don't use Prayer?

R. That is the difference between us and kids only when we ask when we want to reach something. Children don't think about it, that is why we pray and we are asking.

39. S. (01:24:15) In the excerpt here it talks about the vessels of Israel and the vessels of the Egyptians. What is that in our work?

R. It is the will to receive and either it is with the intention in order to receive and that is called the will to receive of Egypt or it is with the intention to bestow and that is called the desires of Israel.

Reading Excerpt 14 (01:24:59): “How can it be said that before…”

40. R. (01:27:09) This means that the more a person advances he is advancing to see how much he is in the will to receive, how weak he is, how much he has no chance of coming out of it. Only the ones who do agree to follow, without any conditions, can ultimately raise a true prayer and the Creator hears the prayer and opens an exit from Egypt for them.

41. S. (01:27:49) So what is the difference between praying or going in faith above reason?

R. I don't see the differences, why does one have to be opposite the other? Praying above reason is something a person needs or else how would he ask of the Creator? He wants to come out of his current state because in his state he cannot bestow, he cannot bestow. That is why he turns to the Creator so that he will help him rise from the force of reception to the force of bestowal.

S. So it is impossible to go in faith above reason but we can ask for the force to do so?

R. Of course it is impossible to go on faith above reason. It’s just that when you ask, the Creator is capable of giving us this force.

S. So what is it that we say to cover all that is being revealed?

R. All of that is in order to advance to see how much we try and despair and pray, the Creator helps and step by step everytime these stages of trying and despairing, praying and that is how we advance.

S. So to receive each time what is revealed it means that we have to pray for every state that comes to us?

R. Yes of course, what is your connection with the state you want to attain if it is not to the Creator through the friends,

S. Because sometimes we say it's enough to come under the wings of the group, to be connected to the friends.

R. No, that certainly helps but it is not that it brings you forces when a person already rises from the degree of this world to the degree of the next world, from reception to bestowal. In the group there are no such forces, a person also doesn’t have it. He has to have the force of the Creator.

S. So what is there in the group when he needs help in such states?

R. Only to pray, ultimately the group is the ability to connect all of the desires, forces, circumstances and pray.

42. S. (01:30:30) We are learning here a certain verse was says you cannot see reality as it is. What does that mean? What reality do we need to see?

R. We cannot see reality as it is. We see what seems to be reality for us but we picture ourselves as he explains in the “Perception of Reality.”

S. Yes but what reality do we have to come to? Do we have to come to a reality that at the moment is what?

R. That the Creator fills the entire reality the force of bestowal fills the entire reality, so I need to come to discover forces of bestowal and that they fill the entire reality.

S. Meaning that the reality that we’re living in right now is not real at all?

R. Of course it isn't, this is a complete imaginary world.

S. So what are you saying that what we see right now is not a real reality? It’s not real?

R. Not real, calm down it's not real so what?

S. I'm not calm at all.

R. When you’re looking at a baby we’re going back to that example again, can you say that he’s in the world of truth? No he lives in a world of toys and conditions, it’s everything we built for him for a children's world.

S. Can we come closer to the world of the reality that you're talking about that we’re not living in the reality of the world we’re in?

R. The relations between us when every time we want to update on our states our relations in a and way that it will be in faith above reason as close as possible in bestowal.

S. Meaning it’s the only option to come closer to the friends?

R. Right, nice yes.

43. S. (01:32:35) The sensation of Hesed which is different from the sensation of Abraham is in that part that here it kind of tells you to stop and reorganize yourself. Compared to the first Hesed is it precise or is it in the right direction?

R. Yes.

44. S. (01:33:02) You said that Aaron was satisfied from every state. What does that mean?

R. Aaron is the upper blessing. I don’t see where you read it.

S. In one of the first excerpts there is that.

R. Okay so that’s how it is.

S. If he’s satisfied with every single state and we have to be satisfied with every step, I am falling to the Klipot and I’m satisfied, why should I want to change that?

R. I don't know what you're saying, are you in Aaron's degree?

S. Not yet.

R. Not yet, okay so when you come to that.

Excerpt 15 (1:34:00)

45. R. (01:35:39) Yes well it’s clear to us that the greater the desires the harder it is to correct them until we reach true devotion.

Excerpt 16 (01:35:51)

Excerpt 17 (01:36:43)

46. R. (01:38:05) Here this is about the clouds of glory when Aaron puts all the Guf together for us that’s why it’s called that these seven clouds belong to him. That’s a kind of something that’s not yet clear to us the structure but we’ll come to that, we’ll talk about it once

47. S. (01:38:57) What’s the difference between the processes? Aaron prepares the vessels and Moses arranges them, how to implement this in the ten?

R. We don’t really need to distinguish between these two in the ten, it’s just that we need to try to always be in the qualities of mutual bestowal and from that we’ll understand what we can add from every step left and right, to that we’ll start discerning what Moses and what Aaron are.

48. S. (01:39:42) What work does the staff do?

R. The staff is always directing a person to be in the forces of reception so that they’ll have less importance than the forces of bestowal..

49. S. (01:40:03) Why are Moses and Aaron always together?

R. Because they are brothers, brothers need means that they support each other and they try to hold the people of Israel each from his own direction.

50. S. (01:40:25) Why does Moses need the permanent support of Aaron? How does he compliment him?

R. Moses is more for the vessels of the bestowal.

51. S. (01:40:54) Why is faith above reason a small force, after it’s higher than anything that’s within reason.

R. That’s true but it’s like the Creator, the Creator is in the force of faith, faith above reason, that’s why we cannot walk in faith above reason we need more supporters until we acquire it and until a person understands what that is until he comes close to that it takes a long time. It’s hard to explain to a person what it means to be in faith above reason these words themselves are not clear to us.

52. S. (01:41:56) Towards what exactly do I need to subdue myself in the group?

R. I need to subdue  myself in the group towards the desires of my friends, what they want should be more than what I want.

53. S. (01:42:20) Is it possible through exercises and acting to come to faith above reason, is it something that we can exercise doing so and how?

R. Try to build in these games like children do and by that bit by bit they get used to a bigger world, yes? Try it. Make them build these computer games between yourselves, all in all what are we doing in the force of faith above reason? We take upon ourselves new laws and in the game this happens and we want these laws between ourselves to connect, so let us do that, let us determine that between us replay in the group. There are relations of action of bestowal, actions of love, please. We have been talking about this for a long time already, so we want to start realizing that.

54. S. (01:43:54) We need to measure our intention, how practically do I measure my intention?

R. The intention is measured by the actions upon which the intention rides. That is why actions are things we can measure, we can check in what desires we do it and then accordingly we measure the intensity and the signs of the intention.

55. S. (01:44:38) In excerpt 15 it is written that as much as the pleasure is greater it is harder to work. The  question is how do we come to a state in which in the work and the group for the goal the pleasure does not block the path to persistent efforts and does not weaken a person?

R. This is because it comes from above.

56. S. (01:45:14) How can we help one another attain the force of faith?

R. First of all byshowing in practice to one another how much we are trying to be in bestowal towards one another and then we need to talk about it also. Not only to show this in practice to speak also, how important this is to me, tell them. We really shouldn't talk about anything else only about the force of bestowal between us that is what we want to be revealed.

57. S. (01:46:05) Whether the appeal to receive forces to go in faith above reason is from a person directly to the Creator?

R. Yes.

58. S. (01:46:24) Relative to your answer about acting, they're asking what is the principal of such a game, what is considered success in such a game?

R. I think that for women there's no problem at all to describe this and depict this and imagine this, I think they can do it better than the men. We should see ourselves as children that play between themselves how much it seems to them that they can engage in real things. Let's try to behave this way with each other like grown-ups that are righteous and spiritual, and close to each other and want to annul their ego and each and everyone wants to annul their ego and that's how we will advance.

59. S. (01:47:34) Is faith above reason equal to our intention in order to bestow?

R. Yes of course.

60. S. (01:47:53) In the last few days we learned about the qualities of the father's and there wasn't a thing called a nation yet, and now there's also a thing called the people or the nation. Can we explain a little bit about the work with this thing called the nation towards the qualities that we are talking about now?

R. Usually nation means a desire to receive when we are about to correct it to ascribe qualities of bestowal to that. To begin with it's the will to receive but we want the bestowal to control it and then the quality of bestowal has many degrees and this is why we're talking about how we approach the people, what quality first of all approaches the people. We are learning by history even that it's Abraham Isaac and Jacob Moses Aaron and David that this is how the expansion of the upper force, the force of bestowal in the will to receive is. Well let's see how we can really bestow on the people these qualities.

S. What is a nation in the ten?

R. The nation in a ten is all our will to receive that is not yet started to receive any spiritual qualities on itself.

S. How do we work with that in the ten?

R. We try to bestow upon each other to be guarantors for each other, to hold each other, and bit by bit each one incorporates himself and others and he starts seeing out of himself how much all kinds of forces awaken in him.

S. And does this operate in a way of degrees, do these qualities influence the ten directly in a form of degrees?

R. Yes it's a wonder that when you're in the ten you start seeing how much you receive from one day to the to the other, new qualities and new thoughts and desires, and how much in what you're receiving you suddenly realize that what your friends have they are thankful that is revealed in them and that is called one helps his friend.

61. S. (01:51:30) We see that to Moses who comes to Pharaoh, he comes with the Creator and when Moses comes to the people of Israel he comes with Aaron. What's the addition that Aaron gives here?

R. Oh that's not simple because with the Creator Moses comes in order to turn to all the general Malchut and with Aaron, Moses comes only a part so to speak, that is already part of the holiness. That is why Aaron, he comes to the people and with the Creator, he comes to the whole world.

S. What is the meaning of holiness?

R. That they are ready for in order to bestow, it is in the degree before entering for Lishma.

62. S. (01:52:53) Can we explain through the example of the guest and the host, what Abraham Isaac and Jacob and Moses and all of them in the relations between them?

R. I don't know, I didn't think about it through that example, just think a few more times maybe you yourself will be able to depict these things.

63. S. (01:53:27) My bestowal is when I care about the friends’ reception?

R. Bestowal is considered that I am investing forces and the result of the force the good result, I want to be revealed in someone else.

S. This means that my concern to others that's my bestowal?

R. Yes.

64. S. (01:54:49) How is it possible that Aaron can talk to the people, what does he have that allows him to speak with the people?

R. We read now several pages from the qualities of Aaron, the Sefira of Hod, that Moses himself cannot manage the people, meaning Aaron also but the two of them together, yes.
