Part 1: Part 1 Baal HaSulam. Shamati, 229. Haman Pockets

Reader: Hello, we are reading from the writings of Baal HaSulam, Shamati, Article 229, Haman Pockets. You can find it on kabbalahmedia.info, you can also find the links in the study materials tab in the Arvut system, you can also send questions.

Reading: (00:31) Shamati 229. Haman Pockets

concerning the eating of the Haman Tashim, meaning Haman's Pockets, he said that since man must be intoxicated on Purim until he cannot tell between the illegal Haman and the blessed Mordechai, we eat Haman Pockets, so we remember that Haman did not give us more than Pockets, called Kelim, Vessels, and not the interior. This means that it is only possible to receive Haman's Kelim, and not the lights, called internality, since the big Vessels of reception are in Haman's domain, and this is what we must take away from him.

However, it is impossible to exTend lights with the Kelim of Haman, this occurs specifically through the Kelim of Mordechai, which are Vessels of Bestowal. There was a Tzimtzum on the Vessels of reception. This is explained in the verse, and Haman said in his heart, Whom would the king delight to honor more than me? This is called a real will to receive, this is why he said, Let royal apparel be brought, which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides upon, etc.

But in truth, Haman's Kelim, called Vessels of reception, do not receive anything due to the Tzimtzum. All he has is a desire and deficiency, meaning he knows what to demand. This is why it is writTen, And the king said to Haman, Hurry, and take the apparel and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordechai the Jew.

This is called, Lights of Haman, in Kelim of Mordechai, meaning in Vessels of Bestowal.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (03:48) Why does Haman demand things that have to do with honor? He demands the garment of the king, to go on the horse; he could demand other things, but does the greatness of reception have to do with honor?

M. Laitman: Yes, that too.

Student: That's mostly what interests the will to receive?

M. Laitman: Haman wants anything that can be used to fill the will to receive.

Student: Here it seems like what Mordechai receives it's an instruction of the king. It's not that Mordechai asks or wants it. It's like coercion. Mordechai receives by coercion because the king determines it. Or what is this action? How does he receive if he's delighted in mercy?

M. Laitman: This is speaking about the upper light that needs to be revealed during Purim in the vessels that we prepare for it. And so this is why all the questions are about the vessels. Are they ready or not ready? In what way should they be ready? With which lacks should they be? And this is why, this is why Haman is directed towards the vessels of reception. And Mordechai is concerned about the vessels of bestowal, and he doesn't see them. But when we begin the scrutiny, then it turns out that through these questions, when there is a scrutiny of whom will the king, will the king desire to give honor to, it turns out that there's no room for Haman there, but only for Mordechai.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (07:16) Why is Haman evil if he ultimately brings about the correction?

M. Laitman: He doesn't think about the correction of the vessels, but rather about drawing, capturing, receiving, whatever he can have in the vessels of reception. In that, he helps the scrutiny of the vessels, because he reveals in them the ability to receive.

Student: And in the final correction?

M. Laitman: At the end of correction, there it is already revealed how much these vessels are completely disqualified from reception of light, and that we cannot work with them. And this is why the upper light comes, which reforms, and everyone understands what this field was sown for, as it is written, meaning what does everything revolve for. In order to sort, in order to raise the importance of the vessels of bestow, we need to perform this turn so that the vessels of reception are disqualified, even though we cannot receive in them, and with the vessels of bestow, we can't, because they have no possibility. This is why it turns out that there is no correction and no filling in the vessels of Haman.

Student: So, at the end of correction, there's a clear distinction between the vessels of reception that are flawed and vessels of bestow. So, what is this state of not knowing the difference between blessed Mordechai and cursed Haman?

M. Laitman: Until we know this difference.

Student: What is this not knowing? I understand you can't know the difference between Haman and Mordechai.

M. Laitman: Haman wanted to receive all the light of creation inside his vessels, the vessels of reception. Mordechai wants to correct the vessels of reception so that they will be in order to bestow. And then there is a dispute between them. How is it possible to receive the light of Hochma in the vessels of reception? That's on the one hand. And on the other hand, how is it possible not to use the vessels of reception, which is the essence of creation? And so it turns out that we begin with the vessels of reception. We see that it is impossible to use them. We are hurt by it. We fall. And then we switch to the vessels of bestow. And in them, we can succeed.

Student: So, it's two separate actions, Haman and Mordechai are two completely separate actions. What is then the lights of Haman in the vessels of Mordechai? What's the collaboration here?

M. Laitman: These are very great lights that Haman reveals. But in order to receive them, it is possible only in vessels that will be entirely in order to bestow. And this is how we can solve the problem.

Student: So, in the final state, Haman is not considered wicked. Basically, it's a perfect state between the two.

M. Laitman: Why?

Student: Because they work together in collaboration in the vessels of Mordechai.

M. Laitman: No. Haman wants in order to receive. And then, in joining the vessels of Mordechai to him, then all the vessels can be inverted to, in order to receive.

Student: What is this action of getting intoxicated on Purim? I don't mean alcohol, the spiritual action, to get intoxicated, so that you don't know the difference between blessed Mordechai and cursed Haman.

M. Laitman: If we receive light in the vessels that are not ready, that don't have a clothing of Hassadim, that is called being intoxicated.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (15:49) How can vessels of bestowal get close to vessels of reception, there is rejection and even hatred between them.

M. Laitman: This all depends on the intention. If you want to fill your vessels in order to bestow, then you're in sanctity. If it is in order to receive, then you're in the Klipa [the shell].

Student: The vessels of reception are under the intention to receive.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And the vessels of bestowal are rejected, it creates hatred and clash. So the question is, how do the vessels of bestowal take the vessels of reception, because you can't bring them together, there is resistance. The vessels of reception are under the broken intention, and you can't take the vessels from them, there is rejection, you keep resistance, you can't get close.

M. Laitman: But what happens later, we will learn that, how the correction was made. And the correction was made in that Mordechai leaves all the vessels and the stature they have, and he only goes to correct the flaw. The flaw is not in receiving, but rather in the question, to receive for what purpose? And here at the tip of this intention, there is a difference between Haman and Mordechai.

Student: What's the action of vessels of reception with vessels of bestowal, what's the action? They have to connect, they, what?

M. Laitman: The vessels of reception and the vessels of bestowal, both of them depend on the intention - because to receive in order to bestow, to bestow in order to receive, all of those, to bestow in order to bestow - they are all separated from receiving in order to receive. And so, what we need, is that in all of our actions, we should see to what extent we move away from receiving and get closer to bestowing.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (20:04) The same Haman basically received the king's ring, he received the ability to rule everything. How does he even identify Mordechai who sits there on the sidelines? Well, what does he care? He received everything, and there is someone who doesn't think like him. So what? Why does he hate him? Why does he offer this decree to kill all the Jews? Because there should be something in him that understands that bestowal.

M. Laitman: It is a flaw in all of his work that it is possible to gather all the vessels and receive them according to the definition of Haman, that everything belongs to me.

Student: But specifically he identifies this flaw, that they are scattered.

M. Laitman: Yes, because they cannot be united, connected. Because they're not corrected, the time hasn't come yet. Either they will have a connection with the light of Hassadim, and they will connect, and in such a way correct creation. Or they will have a connection with the complete light of Hochma, that is impossible. Because to begin with, from the root of creation, there is a condition that that cannot happen. And so this is how it turns out, that how this whole matter of the scroll helps us, is that we can abstain from in order to receive, and think only about the connection of the vessels of bestowal, and later on, use them in order to bestow.

Student: The connection in Hassadim, in mercy, they have, when he says that Haman identifies there's one people scattered among the nations, is he looking from the perspective of the vessels of the light of Hochma or Hassadim? What does it mean scattered among the nations?

M. Laitman: That all the vessels, all the nations, have a desire to be filled with the light of Hochma. They can't understand otherwise. That's it, this is what everyone understands, and also what Haman understands. However, he does not attain that there cannot be any other outcome other than Purim.

Student: He says there is one people, and he identifies it's the people of Mordechai, and they are scattered among the nations. So why does he care? So what? So if this nation enjoys Hochma, even like him or not, what does it matter? Where is the source of hatred towards these people?

M. Laitman: The source of the hatred is that these people do not observe what the Creator wants to be observed in the whole of creation. That's it. There is no more. There's no other reason.

Student: They're like Haman or different from Haman? How are they different when they are scattered among the nations?

M. Laitman: They don't want to keep the King's law. Meaning, if the whole correction is through connection between all the vessels of reception and when using that common vessel, the vessel of reception, this is what Haman understands.

Student: That they don't do their role, that they have a role and they don't do it?

M. Laitman: Yes, their role is very much unclear and can't be understood to begin with. How can that be?

Student: So, how does Haman have an understanding of their role? How can he even see them, notice them? He's a will to receive. He wants for himself. He says, OK, probably everyone is like him. But there's something else that he identifies in them. What is that?

M. Laitman: The difference is that in the vessels of reception, they can unite between them without the intention to bestow. Whereas the vessels that become corrected, they correct the intention in order to bestow. And then they can connect between them.

Student: So again, maybe I'm missing something here. Now they're not united. He sees that. He's good, it's good for him. They're scattered. That's good for him.

M. Laitman: But it's not good. It's not the end of the matter that they're simply scattered and that's it. Haman wants them all to be connected,

so they'll come and receive all the filling through him. And Mordechai says that that cannot be. That the correction is in that all the vessels become connected. The vessels of bestowal and the vessels of reception, they all connect. They all become corrected in order to bestow. And in that, they connect and then they can receive all the light of Hochma.

Student: So why couldn't Mordechai unify this scattered nation without Haman? If he identifies they're not connected.

M. Laitman: But this is the issue that Haman needs to reveal that it is impossible for these vessels to connect between them and be in order to bestow to each other. And this is done only after Mordechai, I'm not sure how to say it, after Mordecai told Esther that she must correct the situation.

Student: And then she calls to gather all the Jews in Shushan? I'm asking because we speak and we hear from Rav and the Kabbalists all the time that all we lack is connection between us, and still, until something like Haman comes, then there's no real need for connection.

M. Laitman: That's right. That's right. You can see it also in this world, in corporeality, we also cannot discover that this is the only thing that we lack.

Student: So, we can't put the remedy before the blow?

M. Laitman: How? You must discover the blow.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (30:58) So, what does it mean to extract the vessels from Haman, the greatest vessels of reception, the will to receive, they're with Haman, so what is this action of taking the vessels from him?

M. Laitman: All of these people that were willing to follow the way of Haman, they now no longer agree with it, and they go along with Mordecai.

Student: We talk a lot about the intention. Is the intention a vessel through which we can bring from Haman these vessels of reception for bestowal? These vessels to receive the lights, he says that in order to receive all the lights we need vessels, but not the vessels of Haman, meaning we need to take this out of him to receive the right vessel for these lights. How do I discover that I'm able to receive for myself, and how do I turn that, how do I transform that to bestowal? Like you said before, that there's a vessel to really receive the lights properly.

M. Laitman: Well, this is actually the correction, so that we don't give the upper lights out of the vessels of reception, but rather we go according to our intention in order to bestow. It doesn't matter to us in what form it will be in order to bestow, meaning, how shall I put it? The vessels of Mordecai must be in the vessels of Haman.

Student: He talks later about the true will to receive. What's the true will to receive?

M. Laitman: The true will to receive means that that same will to receive, that the Creator created, is being fully used in Purim.

Student: Completely used? What do you mean, Rav?

M. Laitman: It is filled. It is filled in Purim.

Student: And what about beyond Purim? Well, Purim is a certain state, but what about the whole process, basically, beyond Purim?

M. Laitman: That, in the end, there was never such a connection between, in order to bestow in the vessels of reception, so that this will cause these vessels such a great ascent.

Student: So, now, in the time of Purim, it's a really unique opportunity.

M. Laitman: Yes, a special opportunity to fill the vessels of reception in order to bestow.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (36:27) Why do vessels of bestowal have no strength? Why are they so, kind of, anemic? Why do vessels of bestowal have no strength?

M. Laitman: The vessels of bestowal have no strength because they're not connected to the end of creation.

Student: What does it for them, this weakness? Because they're vessels of reception, ultimately. Does their restriction give it to them? This inhibition they're always under? Why are they so, just from feeling a bit of the host, and that's it? They settle for that, and that's it?

M. Laitman: The vessels of reception cannot take part in the end, the conclusion of creation, because, to begin with, they were not intended for that. It is impossible to receive in order to bestow in the vessels of reception.

Student: How do vessels of bestowal identify vessels of reception? He describes Haman, vessels of reception, I don't know. He says, who will the king want to give more than me? How do they identify the vessels of bestowal, identify the vessels of reception?

M. Laitman: The vessels of bestowal identify the vessels of reception in that they cannot connect between them, in that they cannot become inverted from reception to bestowal, and, therefore, they don't feel that the whole of creation is in order to bestow, not in order to receive.

Student: Can you say that where the vessels of bestowal identify the broken intentions of Haman is the place where they can work and do something?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (39:50) According to the text, I understood that Haman symbolizes all the vessels of reception he wants to receive. In all the vessels, including the stony heart, he doesn't care if it's the light of Hassadim in order to bestow. He's not interested in that. So, actually, Haman's demand, or the nations of the world from Israel, is - bring us pleasure, the light of Hochma. And that cannot be done until the end of correction, because the stony heart is under restriction. And the work of Israel can only be with the vessels that you can bring down below the Parsa to the world of Atzilut, and to correct them. So it turns out that the crisis beltween Israel and the nations of the world will only come to an end at the end of correction, not before that? Now, the work that we, the Jews, the people of Israel, will do, or need to do, will not affect the nations of the world at all?

M. Laitman: It does influence, because we gradually get closer.

Student: The fact that we are coming closer, that's true, but the crisis remains, regardless?

M. Laitman: We seemingly correct it bit by bit.

Question (Women Bogota): (41:13) How can we succeed in correcting your intention before every action in the work of connection?

M. Laitman: Before every action in the work of connection, we have to see this action ending with connection. And then we do it.

Question (Women Latin 4): (41:51) How can I measure if I'm doing the work out of my vessels of reception in order to bestow, or I receive it with reception for myself? How do we measure the action in the Ten - if it is for myself, or to bestow?

M. Laitman: According to how much we can count, how many people we have with a single intention, how many we have with another intention, and maybe a third intention even, and that's how we can count. That too is not true, but it still somewhat gives us discernments on the path.

Question (German 3): (42:52) What does Esther mean? What kind of force is it?

M. Laitman: Esther is the concealment. When a person doesn't quite identify where he is, and then typically in such case he can go above his reason.

Question (Novosibirsk): (43:30) What can help a person or a friend defeat Haman? How do we defeat Haman?

M. Laitman: We defeat Haman only by connecting among us and thinking of the connection, the point of connection, that it will be in the middle between us, at the center, and all the rest we accept as unimportant. It exists, but it's unimportant to us. That's how we filter all of the reasons for connection.

Question (Africa): (44:46) Is there a difference between Pharaoh and Haman in serving the will to receive?

M. Laitman: Clearly, you can't have one without the other. Pharaoh has his own work. He has to discover all of the vessels. And Mordechai has his own work. He has to show the difference between bestowal and reception. And that's how they continue.

Question (Women PT 6): (45:57) How can we take advantage of the light of Purim that dwells upon us now?

M. Laitman: To take advantage of the light of Purim, we can do that only by making actions in accordance with this light. Let’s try to get closer between us, feel that we are in the force of Mordechai or, God forbid, the opposite. And let's always try to keep that intention, to be with that intention. That the main thing for us is not to receive, but what's important to us is what are we working for? Who's going to win? Mordechai or Haman?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (47:36) What is the root of the hatred between the Jews?

M. Laitman: The Jews themselves?

Student: Yes, what's the root of the hatred between them?

M. Laitman: Because they're not corrected, and as written, each one is drawn to what he thinks. All the people that don't know what is the King's desire.

Student: Seemingly, it's not that they're just separated or not connected, it's actually hatred between these vessels that are seemingly of bestowal. And all the time a threat is needed, some threat in order to connect them, some Haman. If there's no Haman, then they reveal the hatred, all the time.

M. Laitman: Correct, Correct.

Student: It seems weird because...

M. Laitman: It's not weird.

Student: I mean, you are vessels of bestowal, how can you hate?

M. Laitman: They're not vessels of bestow, to begin with.

Student: It's not Galgalta ve Eynaim (GE)

M. Laitman: Don't put me into limits where I have to define things according to the intellect, but according to what people feel. About the last two weeks, let's say, or maybe, I don't know how many, I answered maybe 200 times, I don't know, what is Galgalta ve Eynaim and what we belong to, and so forth. It's not so clear.

Student: Okay, not Galgalta ve Eynaim, but the people of Israel cannot be in an intermediate state. It's either hatred or love. There's nothing in the middle.

M. Laitman: Let's say so. Let's say so.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (49:57) Why is it that when Haman is revealed, Mordecai doesn't directly go for connection? Why does he have to send Esther to the king so that she will tell everyone to connect?

M. Laitman: That's a detour that we truly can't really understand. What is the role of Esther here? In general, in all kinds of states, we see that suddenly there is some woman that appears and seems to put things in some order, or even the other way around, but that specifically following her, the situation somehow becomes corrected. And that's also what's happening here. Esther discovers that there's no connection in vessels of reception, and there's also no reception in vessels of bestowal. How can that be? The connection can only be between thoughts, desires, actions that are in contrast to each other. And then from the contrast, they come to completion.

Student: So, what is this operation of taking Esther and bringing her into the king's palace? I understand that it allows us to understand that we don't have this connection between these contradictions.

M. Laitman: Esther is in the king's palace.

Student: Yes, but what is the action of bringing Esther into the king's palace? What does it mean? It's not a scrutiny between reception and bestowal.

M. Laitman: When Esther is in the place of Ahasuerus, firstly, she doesn't go there except according to Mordechai's instruction. He was wise, he knew, and he was her uncle, and so forth. Meaning, there is some other level of connection between them. And that's what Esther, or what she can do. She can cause connection.

Student: If Mordechai knew that's the process that needs to take place. So, again, why is it specifically through such an action? And it's not that Haman grows and he gathers all the Jews even before Esther enters the picture. What's her addition to this?

M. Laitman: It's not according to the goal of creation. It's not according to the correction. It's not according to the order that Haman now needs to grow. No. What appears this way, as it has to appear as the left line, that's sufficient. That the Jews will have work, they'll have signs that they have to start connecting.

Student: So, Esther symbolizes, like you said before, above reason, that we're not certain if it's going to work. Maybe it's even going to work the opposite way, but there's no choice.

M. Laitman: I don't think it is that much like what you think, but they need to understand that it's up to them to decide to choose this direction, connection of the vessels of bestowal.

Student: You spoke before about this matter of the blemish, the flaw. What flaw do we correct?

M. Laitman: We all are correcting the flaw that there's a gap between the vessels of reception and bestowal, where it's unclear what to do about them, how to connect them, how to bring them closer.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (56:10) How should we take the story of Purim correctly today?

M. Laitman: That we have to cause connection between us in all the conditions that appear, doesn't matter what, and the connection between us has to win.

Student: The connection between us should triumph, meaning we should feel this oppositeness. You said before that only through the contradictions we can connect. It's only the two opposites can connect.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: But it seems like during this whole story they cancel out each other.

M. Laitman: No, that will come to a state where one will submit himself towards the others.

Student: So, that's the conclusion?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (57:23) You said in the beginning of the lesson, since the beginning of the lesson you spoke a few times about the connection between us, that we have to connect between us.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: But along with that, you said later that it's not important for us.

M. Laitman: This I said, not with regards to the connection being unimportant to us, but rather that we have to understand the connection from a state of separation, that specifically there the connection takes on its degree and raises itself to a state that is unparalleled.

Student: This is the purpose of our society.

M. Laitman: That's the purpose of the society.

Student: The purpose of our group. But still this week in some conversation I heard you say that we don't have an environment.

M. Laitman: Well, that's a different thing.

Student: So with respect to what do we not have an environment? We have all gathered here in Israel and all over the world out of the same purpose.

M. Laitman: We're not building the society. We still have a long way. It's not long in terms of days and nights, rather long in terms of action that we have to become connected.

Student: What does it mean a long way? We can feel that we're turning around, revolving around one axis but with respect to what is the way still long?

M. Laitman: There's a matter of the whole or the collective, the connection among the whole and the feeling of mutual guarantee in the whole or collective. And we have to... I'm a bit confused.

Student: This connection that exists between Haman and Mordechai, this field of work that exists between Haman and Mordechai.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How in our reality, I mean, what's the role of the woman? How does the woman get in there? It seems like it's not some switch and we're done. It's a prolonged action with many small actions in between. Who is this Esther in this field, this area between Haman and Mordechai?

M. Laitman: I can't explain this to you in a clear and complete fashion.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:01:49) What is the connection between us? It's going above reason in the perception of reality that everything is whole, that we have to hold on to that?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: If so, when Mordechai was so humble, how come suddenly he sees that there is this mess with Haman and all the troubles?

M. Laitman: Specifically from his height, he saw how much there is more to correct.

Student: What's the difference between abstaining and the restriction that he doesn't want to receive?

M. Laitman: Because he sees that this is the only way to achieve correction.

Student: Why not through positive actions?

M. Laitman: I can't say, but to me it seems that then, if you exist in such a way in the system of correction, then you see that this is not possible. Not possible.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:03:20) This whole story of Purim, it's actually the spiritual path. So, why is it called Purim?

M. Laitman: We say it's a matter of the “Pur” [casting the lot].

Student: So what is special about Purim?

M. Laitman: In Purim, what is special is that the camp of the vessels of reception is revealed against the camp of the vessels of bestowal. And what they can clarify or scrutinize, one on top of the other in a reciprocal way. And ultimately, the people of Israel succeed.

Student: It says, and the king told Haman, hurry, take the apparel and the horse. What is the matter of the hurry here, when it has to do with the Klipot, the shells? What is in that? Why do we have to hurry? What is he going to lose? What's here?

M. Laitman: It's really a question. I don't know. It's really a question. I don't know. Quickly, meaning that later it will be too late, and you won't be able to make the same correction that now Mordechai has offered.

Student: But he's the king, and the shells, he's offering it to Mordechai, he's offering it to Haman.

M. Laitman: Haman?

Student: The shells know things that the good side doesn't know?

M. Laitman: Possibly so.

Student: How, every moment, we can be in Purim? What should we have every moment so we can say we are in Purim?

M. Laitman: That it's still not clear how we win.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:05:58) You answered the friend before, that we do not, we're not building the society, we still have a long way, not according to the number of days and nights, but long according to our efforts. And the question, so everything we have here right now, that's not considered a society?

M. Laitman: That is considered a society, but, you know, there's a society, and there's a society. We still need to be part of the path in scrutiny and corrections.

Student: There is a society, and there is a society. There is a society we're in now, and there is the future society that we want to reach.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: What is that next, even the next stage, so that you can define that we have a society?

M. Laitman: I don't see things that are more corrected later on. I see what's happening now, today.

Student: What is happening now?

M. Laitman: That even though we're somewhat corrected, somehow, according to right now, but that is still insufficient in order to bring about the correction of the world.

Student: What conditions are we lacking so that we can define ourselves as a society?

M. Laitman: That everyone will feel within an empty place for his friend.

Student: What actions exactly should we add in order to reach such a feeling of an empty place for the friend?

M. Laitman: That I'll feel how much I lack him, and if he comes to me and connects, that will fill my space, and then both of us will be whole.

Student: How do we reach such a feeling? I don't have such a feeling. I don't feel within me an empty place for the friend.

M. Laitman: That's what we need, to feel that each and every one has a place in my heart for connection with everyone and with me. And the same for everyone towards everyone else.

Student: What is that empty place in my heart?

M. Laitman: A place of connection between us.

Student: Why is it empty? What is this empty thing inside of me? How is this emptiness created, that empty place for the friend?

M. Laitman: This empty place is created, it used to be a space for connection, and then a shattering probably happened there.

Student: What exactly do I discover? What is this empty place I discover? A new desire I don't have, or a desire I have, what is it?

M. Laitman: A state of connection.

Student: And then?

M. Laitman: Then I really want, I want it to happen in me and that I will be in it. And this is how everyone is inside everyone else.

Student: And in that space I start to feel the friends inside of me?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: The Ten?

M. Laitman: Let's say just the Ten, yes.

Student: So, what will be the society, going back to the beginning? What is considered the society then?

M. Laitman: The society is also like the Ten, but it's just a greater circle. It includes anyone who wants to enter it.

Student: So the definition of a society is that each one feels an empty place for his friend, and he feels a friend?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How in such a state it will operate on us differently? What will be different?

M. Laitman: That now, you're sitting in the lesson and we are, how many we are here?

Student: 300 here and all over the world.

M. Laitman: 300 here and in the world, that's so we can want to become incorporated together so much that each one will influence the friend's desire through his desire. And that's how we'll unite.

Student: So, where is the Creator in the relations between us? I have an empty place to feel the friend. He also has it. Where does the Creator come in, in this network of connections between us?

M. Laitman: The Creator is above that.

Student: Where? Above?

M. Laitman: Above our connection or lack thereof.

Student: So, where is he revealed in the relations between us? As we say, if I feel the friend in my heart, I feel the friend in my heart. Where is the Creator?

M. Laitman: The Creator is a higher force. More abstract.

Student: When is this force revealed between us?

M. Laitman: When you'll need it.

Student: When will I need it?

M. Laitman: I don't know. First know why you need it.

Student: When does a person need the Creator in his work, in his connection with the friends?

M. Laitman: That he doesn't need anything from this world. And he doesn't want anything from the upper world. Not today, nor ever. Except to attain the Creator.

Student: You said it's not enough, so that by that we will cause the correction of the world. How much should we be connected in order to correct the world?

M. Laitman: Easier to say is that we will all connect and feel that there is no distance, no space between us. However, more than that, how can we measure? That's the only way.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:14:34) A person can feel the friend without the help of the Creator, without the Creator being involved?

M. Laitman: No. He can't? No.

Student: Can a person do something, attain something, receive something without the Creator's help?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: So the Creator is involved in every action we make, in everything we have?

M. Laitman: You can say so, yes.

Student: So, that's what we are studying all these years, that there is none else besides Him. This feeling of, or achieving this feeling that indeed He is involved, it comes only out of actions and actions and actions?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: If so, our only appeal, also in the feeling of the friend or any other desire, should only be to the Creator?

M. Laitman: Only to the Creator, so He'll be revealed in us.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:15:49) When the coarseness is revealed between the friends, from the correction between us to the correction of the world, when the coarseness is revealed, so there's separation between the friends. Now when one friend wants to make room in his heart for the other, he turns to the Creator, he asks, how important is it that the other friend will also see that there's this coarseness distancing between them, and he'll also do the work?

M. Laitman: How will you know? It depends on the heart of the one who speaks.

Student: Well, that's the question. What are the options to wait until it'll happen, that it will be revealed to the other friend that there's coarseness here that needs spiritual work upon it? Or is it enough that that one friend will ask for the connection?

M. Laitman: It's not enough. It is not enough. There has to be an act of revealing the deficiency in both of them.

Student: So how do we cause it?

M. Laitman: How do we call it?

Student: How do we cause it?

M. Laitman: We cause it by simply each one who feels that he has within him a deficiency toward the friend, toward the other, tries to reveal that deficiency, to show it, and be connected to him.

Student: What was the last word?

M. Laitman: And be connected to him.

Student: So that means that we have to cause in the society between us …

M. Laitman: Deficiency.

Student: That's in our society. And about Purim, we see that all the separation, if there's separation in the nation, that was the reason for Haman.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So, if we already find the difficulty to correct this coarseness between us, so how can we cause connection in the nation, when there's coarseness in the nation?

M. Laitman: And what is the problem? We're not showing our coarseness. We're showing the refinement in us.

Student: What do you mean, the refinement in us?

M. Laitman: We don't go and do things now in order to show our increasing coarseness. No. We come to a deficiency that will be revealing us a new place for a new revelation.

Student: It'd be great if you could explain more about it because in a very simple situation, a person that stands ground on his opinion and sees the flaw in the other, he says, I'm right, and he doesn't see that he has to maybe relinquish something to make room in his heart. It's such a huge distance, and you're speaking about coarseness.

M. Laitman: No, I'm searching for such discernments in me. That's it.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:20:59) You were speaking about the empty place that we have to make room for a deficiency to connect with the friends. How does that empty place become like the center of gravity, something heavier, something stronger?

M. Laitman: Through our work in the Ten.

Student: What in the work in our Ten brings a greater deficiency for closeness, because even if we connect a bit, it already stops us. We're happy with even a small connection between us. And don't make it like a serious central point.

M. Laitman: We need to try to reveal in our Ten all the states that we want to see in the world, outside, among all the Tens, that it will simply cover everything. This is what I want, that my relation to the Ten will be as my relation to the world.

Student: And specifically from that relation, that brings a deficiency for more connection?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:23:03) Just to continue, how do you create that empty place, that vacant place?

M. Laitman: The empty place, now we're talking about. What we ask, what we try, how we connect. What we're searching for among us, what point of connection?

Student: The fact that it's empty, that means that there's no answer to the question. What does it mean that it's empty?

M. Laitman: No feeling. No feeling of the person.

Student: So, we're discussing it between us, speaking between us, feeling between us, in order to reach a place that there's no feeling.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: Why do we want that place?

M. Laitman: We don't want not to feel. Expecting to come to a situation where we feel ourselves existing together in one circle with all the friends in that circle, in the relationships between us we'll be able to resolve all the problems, all the questions.

Student: So that place is empty of myself, but filled with the together?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: That's the empty?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:25:07) About society. Our society today is built of Tens. Now, once you said that every Ten should determine their own rules and how to advance. So first of all, can a Ten determine alone the way they understand? Can they advance without a connection to society?

M. Laitman: No.

Student: There has to be some spirit of society, connection of society, the force of society that every Ten can use that force to connect to.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: So how do you build that? Because we feel that it doesn't really exist today. And you said that there's no environment, and then you're not advancing. So there has to be some practical advice to build a society, too.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: There has to be some connection between the Tens. How to build it correctly? I'll tell you. When I came to Bnei Baruch, there was a group. There weren't Tens. There was a group. There was a strong core of a group. There was Rav leading, and nobody asked a question. They just took upon themselves, if you want to be in the inner group, you have to fulfill everything. And there was fear that if you're not doing it, you're not in there. You're on the outside. And you feel that you're on the outside. Today, it doesn't exist. And I feel it's really missing this force of society, the social parts, bodies, and society that bring it all together. Should we build it?

M. Laitman: Of course we have to build it.

Student: And where to start from?

M. Laitman: From making a commitment to everyone to be a properly working piece.

Student: A working piece in all of society, not only in the Ten. So, what's that separation or that duty you have to do towards your Ten and towards society?

M. Laitman: In the Ten, it is ten times more important than in all of society.

Student: So, what society leads and gives rules and the spirit, so I must insert it into my Ten. Can I say that?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And then everybody can advance because everybody's connected. Like in a body that has cells and organs, everybody's connected.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And there's also a head leading it.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:28:28) How to reach a point that you only want the Creator. And Rav said, wherever I don't want anything from this world or the next world, only Him. At that point, He will be revealed. But how do you hold on that that's the way it's going to be constantly, the desires? Because the Creator sends us desires and confusion.

M. Laitman: If a person is constantly aimed toward his goal, then he sees that on top of his goal, desires, intentions, thoughts, actions are constantly revealed in him, which push him to realize them. And in this way to advance, I have nothing more to say.

Question (Woman PT 8): (01:29:51) Mordecai uses Esther, the concealment, in order to reach the king and change the destiny of the people. What should we learn from that, if there is anything to learn from it?

M. Laitman: It's not simple, but basically in the same direction. We too need to try to advance and reach that state.

Question (Asia): (01:30:35) What does it mean to be one group during the lesson?

M. Laitman: One group? First of all, one head. One goal. That everyone will be in general support, general demand, collective demand. This is called being as one.

Question (Woman Heb 1): (01:31:22) How do we awaken our nation through dissemination? How can you make a change in the awareness of our nation?

M. Laitman: On this, I cannot say. I don't know what the conditions are over there. But they need to talk about it and see from all our articles about corrections, about connections, what they need in order to advance.

Student: The nation needs to understand what they're lacking?

M. Laitman: That group.

Student: The group that wants to disseminate, they have to scrutinize what they're lacking?

M. Laitman: If they're not incorporated with the deficiency that exists in the people, then what can they do? Right?

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (01:32:38) In the state of connection, does it symbolize the victory of Mordechai, the vessels of bestowal upon the vessels of reception?

M. Laitman: It's a victory of Mordechai, a victory of the vessels of bestowal over the vessels of reception. Yes.

Student: How can we take an example from Purim to the connection between us?

M. Laitman: That's the example you need to take. To sort the vessels of reception and the vessels of bestowal, which is more important, which is less important, how we advance toward it, one on top of the other, and in this way go forward.
