Part 1: Rabash. Record 68. “The Order of the Work.”

Reader: Hello friends, today we are studying the studies of Rabash, Volume 3, Article 68, “The Order of the Work.” Rav, please.

Reader: Article 68, “The Order of the Work.”

M. Laitman: (00:27) Yes, here we have something to say because the order of the work is the most important for us. It's according to our work that we take upon ourselves to reveal the Creator, our connection with Him, which is called the Torah, and to bestow to all of humanity, and by that to enter into all of nature, to check and reveal and feel, and to fill ourselves up with the entire upper light, which can explain to us what's happening from the beginning of creation to the end of creation, with all the galaxies and the solar systems and the souls and the incarnations in this world, and the connection of all of these, both from the solar systems and all the different systems.

Their connections in these systems throughout all of these thousands of years, and how we reach a state where we see from one end of the world to the other end, and we absolutely start to see why each and every detail exists in reality, as much as we need to clarify it and to feel it and understand it, and as much as we can, through each and every detail, to change all of reality. It depends on what degree we're on, and to what extent we rise. To the extent that we rise on the ladder of degrees, as much as we rise, we can, on each and every degree, reveal a higher level of sharing, a greater one of each and every part in reality, as much as they act and activate each other.

And then in the end, ultimately, we can reveal the entire upper system from one end to the other, from zero to 100%, and not just to reveal it, but also to enter it, and with it to bring the entire world, the upper worlds, and to arrange them in the right connection between it, and to bring it all, through all of those actions, until the end of correction. This is basically the purpose of man's existence. Therefore, we really need to understand, to arrange, to learn to reveal this upper system, and to what extent we can spin it either to the good or to the bad direction, and by that to learn all of the details that are in this world, and this is all of our work. So, let's read.

M. Laitman Reading Article: (04:52) It's written like this. In the beginning, one must believe above reason that the Creator wanted to do good to His creations. For this reason, He created His creations and installed in them the desire and yearning to receive pleasure.

M. Laitman commentary: Meaning, our desire is entirely just to receive pleasure, and this is what the Creator has made in us.

M. Laitman reading: The reason is that this is the only Kli [vessel] to receive pleasure, since man enjoys only that for which he yearns.

M. Laitman commentary: Therefore, there needs to be a yearning in a person to fill himself up, to feel the Creator, to understand Him, to research Him, and all of reality in this way, the whole world this way.

M. Laitman reading: He can receive something to which he does not yearn, but he cannot enjoy it because the Kli for enjoyment is called “coveting,” “yearning,” etc.

M. Laitman commentary: Meaning, in order for us to enjoy something, we need to want it, and also receive from it, for it, some yearning, because the Kli for enjoyment is called coveting, yearning, etc. But we need to use this vessel that we want to enjoy, we want to reach fulfillment.

M. Laitman reading: However, this should be above reason, since when He looks within reason, He does not find His providence over the world as benevolent. On the contrary, this is why it is said that we must believe above reason that this is so.

M. Laitman commentary: Rather, when we look at our world, we do not quite see that the world is doing it, that the Creator is doing everything that in order for each and every part in creation to enjoy, but rather the opposite, that we reveal the suffering of each and every part of creation, which is why we say that we must believe above reason that this is so, that the Creator created everyone to enjoy, but we do not see it. The still, vegetative, and animate, speaking of all the parts of creation, we see how much they suffer, how much they are in great exertion in order to fill themselves up, and in this way to exist, at least, and not to die.

Reader Continues: But in truth, if His guidance is only in a manner of good and doing good, why is this not felt within reason? We learned that it is because of the correction of the bread of shame. Therefore, as long as the created beings have no vessels of bestowal, they cannot see light and remain in the dark.

M. Laitman commentary: Meaning that the Creator created everything in order to do good, for everyone to enjoy Him, but it is not felt by us at the beginning of the work, and it is because we need to go through a correction, and this correction is called that we need to work in order to bestow.

And by that, we correct our desire to receive, and in the correction of the bread of shame, that we can receive pleasure only on the condition that we look at each other in a nice way, and we can bestow to each other that same pleasure that we receive from above. Meaning, if I receive pleasure from the Creator and I can pass it to the friends, to the whole world, outside of me, that I will be like a pipe, and in this way I can receive and pass it to them and enjoy. But if I cannot pass it, but rather I'm thinking about catching it and swallowing it and enjoying it by myself, then I cannot receive anything from the Creator butut the opposite. I'll feel myself, that I'm in darkness.

Continues reading: When one believes in the delight and pleasure that exists in above reason, he comes to consciously feel, to know the evil within him. That is, he believes that the Creator imparts such delight and pleasure, and although he sees all the good above reason, he achieves recognition. That is, he feels in all the organs the power of the evil that is found in receiving for oneself, which prevents him from receiving the abundance.

M. Laitman: Again, that sentence. The whole paragraph.

Re-reading Paragraph: When one believes in the delight and pleasure that exists in above reason, he comes to consciously feel, to know the evil within him. That is, he believes that the Creator imparts such delight and pleasure, and although he sees all the good above reason, he achieves recognition. That is, he feels in all the organs the power of the evil that is found in receiving for oneself, which prevents him from receiving the abundance.

M. Laitman continues reading: It follows that faith above reason causes him to feel his enemy within reason—who obstructs him from reaching the good. This is his standard. That is, to the extent that he believes in the delight and pleasure above reason, to that extent he can come to feel the recognition of evil.

Reader Re-reading Paragraph: This is his standard. That is, to the extent that he believes in the delight and pleasure above reason, to that extent he can come to feel the recognition of evil.

Continues reading: It follows that faith above reason causes him to feel his enemy within reason—who obstructs him from reaching the good. This is his standard. That is, to the extent that he believes in the delight and pleasure above reason, to that extent he can come to feel the recognition of evil.

Later, sensing the bad yields the sensation of delight and pleasure, since the recognition of evil in the sensation of the organs causes him to correct the bad.

This is done primarily through prayer, when he asks the Creator to give everything in bestowal, called Dvekut [adhesion]. Through these Kelim, [vessels], the goal will be revealed in open providence, meaning that there will be no need for the concealment because there will already be Kelim that are able to receive.

M. Laitman: (15:09) That's it, that's the whole article. Let's see what you understood, according to what you want to understand even more.

Question: (Kyiv): (15:26) Here it says that we need to ask the Creator so that everything is in the quality of bestowal, and you also say that we need to be a conduit. What does it mean that the Creator gives me the quality of bestowal that He gives to the world through me?

M. Laitman: If you want to be similar to the Creator, just call the person Adam, one that is similar to the Creator. Then you need to learn from the Creator how to give, to pass, that you take from the world, which the Creator fills the world, and then you pass it further. Then you call Adam, a person, one that is similar to the Creator.

Student: What can I pass on to the world?

M. Laitman: What you receive from the Creator you can pass to everyone.

Student: I see a Hissaron in the world, many people are suffering, but also, I see here that it says people are suffering. What can I give?

M. Laitman: What you think that you can give, ask it from the Creator in order to give it to them, in order to pass it to them, and see how much the Creator fills you up in order for you to pass it to them. You, first of all, connect to them, open from you to them, open your heart, take from them a deficiency, and raise this deficiency to the Creator, which you want to receive from Him, in order to give to them, and see how much this works.

Question (Moscow 4): (17:36) It follows from this article if I have patience with the friends, overcome something, but I don't come to the revelation of evil, then this is not a faithful reason. If I come to the Congress, I see this friend could invest more, someone else came just to drink and eat, and I'm still with them just to unite. This is not a faith above reason, but if I realize evil, if I realize that my desire to receive shows me this in the friends, then this is faithful above reason.

M. Laitman: No. Not yet.

Student: But the revelation of evil is a necessity?

M. Laitman: It's necessary because we're all completely evil.

Question (Turkiye 2): (18:38) How do we turn faith above reason into a prayer?

M. Laitman: It's very simple. When you want to be in this transition between the Creator to everyone, to the whole world, and you ask for Him to correct your vessels, that you'll be able to receive from Him, from the Creator, and pass it to the whole world, to each and every one. That's what you need, all in all.

Question (Women MAK 104): (19:33) In us there's a huge spiritual force. How to reveal this force, the connection through which the creation needs to connect with the Creator? Is this only through the screen?

M. Laitman: It's only through the Creator. It's only through the Creator. The Creator does everything that you need. The screen, connection, everything.

Student: I had this question for a while. When you build your internality, then it's more or less clear. When you're trying to arrange everything in relation to the Creator, you see everything is good in every aspect. But when you have to interact with the society, there are problems. There isn't a clear criterion by which to measure. So, it's as if you allow just anything to happen, and you add intention to all kinds of Klipot. I would like some kind of a direction here, I don't know. So you start to check with relation to yourself, and you end up in a different place.

M. Laitman: First of all, I ask you to formulate your question more concisely. The main thing is, what do you want to receive from the Creator? What do you want to pass to others? And how do you want to feel the world that you're in? All of this to formulate it shortly, concisely, and raise it to the Creator.

Question (Women Moscow 6): (21:34) How do we pass on the pleasure from the Creator to the friends? What's the mechanism of this work in a turn?

M. Laitman: It's very simple. What would you want to pass to the friends? Give that to them, show that to them.

Student: This is the example, and internally from the Creator, what do I receive and what do I give, what do I ask for?

M. Laitman: It's your matter what you're asking from the Creator. It already depends on your relations, which desire in you the Creator evokes, and with which desire you turn to Him. Ask to understand this desire, to fill it up, for Him to help you with this.

Question (Women MAK): (22:46) Our work is to connect correct intention to this desire to bestow and rise above reason. Where does this right approach come from? From knowledge or from faith above reason?

M. Laitman: From the Creator’s light.

Question (Women MAK): (23:11) What does it mean to adhere to the Creator in faith above reason?

M. Laitman: It means to connect to Him, to feel Him in all of one's desires and thoughts.

Student: Can the force of correction, how do I stop myself from criticizing an unworthy behavior of someone else?

M. Laitman: How can you stop yourself from criticism? It's very simple. You need to forbid yourself from criticizing others. That just cannot be.

Student: How do I look at my actions? I don't feel shame for my actions. I have to deal with criticism between us. But if someone else tells me I shouldn't allow myself to pour out my ego and so on.

M. Laitman: Why are you criticizing the other?

Student: Because if I see that his behavior is unworthy, I give feedback.

M. Laitman: It's not feedback. It's forbidden.

Question: (Women Heb 2): (25:07) A question about dissemination. How can we be a channel apart from some words, and actions?

M. Laitman: If it’s toward the friends in the group, then there’s no such thing like you’re saying. Here there's just already a connection between everyone in one vessel.

Student: What does it truly mean to be a channel?

M. Laitman: To truly be a channel as much as you connect to the Creator, to the articles, to what you are studying. You pass it, you pass this to your friends.

Student: How do I do this? How do I pass it on? How do I know if I've done it?

M. Laitman: When you speak between you, and in this way you pass your upliftment to them.

Student: Always through words and actions?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: How do I do this? Is it a workshop or dissemination? So how would you pass it?  What's the right inner form? In an inner way?

M. Laitman: The inner ways that you connect together. All the friends as one man and one heart, and then you try to pass to them.

Student: Is it always in the Ten?

M. Laitman: It's desirable for it to be in the Ten.

Question (Women Turkiye 1): (27:40) How do we come to a state where we receive everything from the Creator, it’s just joy and connected to others?

Reader Explains: Everything we receive from the Creator and pass on to the friends, and everything that stays with us is just joy from this opportunity to pass it on. How do we come to such a state?

M. Laitman: It's a very respectable state. It's a sign that you're going to the Creator to ask for the friends. You can take their desire to receive and pass it to the Creator and ask for fulfillment. And then their questions, with the fulfillment, you pass to them. That's it, and in this way, you carry out the action.

Question (Turkiye 8): (29:00) How to continue our work in order to rise above this evil?

M. Laitman: To try to rise above this evil and connect to the Creator in order to turn to this evil and correct it, to fill it up.

Question (Women Polish): (29:31) So here everything depends on the intensity and sincerity of the prayer in my attempt to reveal the evil.

M. Laitman: Yes, yes, yes.

Question (Women Ukraine 2): (30:00) How does a person come to the realization that the prayer that he wants to receive and the prayer that he wants to give, and what the Creator wants to give are not the same thing?

M. Laitman: So, what? Let him continue. It's not important. The main thing is to continue.

Question (Women Moscow 4): (30:32) It's written here, when a person believes in the goodness and fulfillment in the work, in the Ten. What is that fulfillment and goodness that we need to aspire for?

M. Laitman: We need to yearn for pleasure that comes from correction and the fulfillment of the vessels.

Student: But more practically we take this correction by connecting together, do I understand correctly? But let's take something practical. We connect on a call with friends, but less than ten friends come. What focus should be there in that aspiration to the goodness?

M. Laitman: It needs to go through your friends. Through the whole Ten, those that came.

Student: Another question. Recognition of evil is the shame that I don't want to connect with friends?

M. Laitman: And this too.

Question (Women Turkiye 7): (31:57) If in advance I receive in my reason that the Creator is The Good That Does Good, so how can I be in faith above reason?

M. Laitman: You have to be in intention to give the Creator all the good.

Question (Women PT 33): (33:01) When you spoke about the sins in the past between the world and the Creator, I want to speak about this. If I see the friends as great and I receive this example from them for support, when I identify such qualities in the friends, do I get some kind of sense of value from them? And I look at these things, question if I need to restrict this thing that I see in the friends for myself and try to pass it to the whole world. That's the transition that you're talking about?

M. Laitman: No, you can do it to yourself and to the whole world, both.

Student: So to restrict is basically what I still don't see as corrected?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Spain): (34:26) Is faith above reason not on a psychological level but rather on a spiritual one? And if so, can we reach it personally in the group, or together? How does it go?

M. Laitman: Always in the group. Always. A person can't attain anything by himself no matter what seems to him.

Student: It’s only on the spiritual layer?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Hadera 1): (35:17) In the first paragraph, Rabash writes that the Creator wanted to please creation, so He created the desire and yearning in them for pleasure. And he continues that a person doesn't enjoy anything unless he yearns for it, and if he doesn't have a yearning for it, he can receive it, but he cannot enjoy it. How, from the desire, which is entirely to receive, and why suddenly it will want to bestow? He can deceive himself because of the society, but his mouth and heart are not equal. How in one day does this transformation takes place? From enjoying reception to enjoying bestowal. In order to be a pipe, a channel, a person needs to have a desire to bestow.

M. Laitman: Correct, yes. And that's why he gets filled with his desire for bestowal because he gives to the friend.

Student: But why does he want to bestow if just the desire to receive pleasure was put on him?

M. Laitman: Because this depends on the surrounding light that he receives from the Creator. Where does he write this?

Student: In the first paragraph.

M. Laitman reads: In the beginning, one must believe above reason that the Creator wanted to do good to His creations. For this reason, He created His creations and installed in them the desire and yearning to receive pleasure. The reason is that this is the only Kli [vessel] to receive pleasure, since man enjoys only that for which he yearns. He can receive something to which he does not yearn, but he cannot enjoy it because the Kli for enjoyment is called “coveting,” “yearning,” etc. He can give it to someone else.

Student: What do you mean about the first paragraph? Why would he want to bestow if the desire to receive was installed in him?

M. Laitman: He wants to be similar to the Creator. He knows the desire to realize there is nothing worse than being opposite to the Creator, than this desire to receive.

Student: He acquires the desire to bestow from the society?

M. Laitman: This Hissaron he gets in some way from the environment, but then he can only receive from the upper light.

Question (Women Moscow 8): (38:53) How do we pass all of the pleasure to the world?

M. Laitman: You will pass it on even if you don't think about this.

Question (Women MAK 97): (39:15) It turns out that each one of us needs to become a channel for the Creator?

M. Laitman: No, each one of you.

Student:  Each one, okay. So, looking at the world and what's happening, there's just pain and suffering. What should we ask for to correct myself, or to correct these punishments to mercy?

M. Laitman: Ask for a correction of the world, and in particular, a correction of yourself.

Question (Women MAK 70): (39:54) If we connect very strongly with the friends, we support each other, and in the Ten, we feel a great fulfillment. We notice that we don't connect that pleasure with the Creator, that it's stemming from Him. It's very hard to keep that in focus all the time. How do we return this pleasure to Him?

M. Laitman: We have to connect ourselves, pleasure, and all the other elements of this connection. You'll see that this will succeed easily.

Question (Women Latin 13): (40:58) When we're in the Ten, we enjoy being together, we need to think that He enjoys that we're together? Or we need to think that we enjoy, and He also enjoys.

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: And this way also in the world, the worldly pleasures?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Kavkaz 1): (41:38) What is the work with the Reshimot and the deficiencies of the friends stemming from that point of adhesion? I heard that from these two opposites, I see someone envied, someone strengthened his desire, and we incorporate each other's deficiencies. Is the work like that? Do I need to connect in this way these deficiencies in Reshimot?

M. Laitman: Don't assume what the Creator will do. Do what's in your power.

Student: Meaning just what's coming right now?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Hadera 1): (42:37) Reason objects to above reason, just from the fact that we need to go above reason?

M. Laitman: From nature itself.

Student: Meaning the control that holds the king?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Women Italy): (43:05) Is it a prayer that destroys heaviness, and elevates us to faith above reason, making us seek joy and giving?

M. Laitman: Correct.

Question (Women French): (43:39) You said that you want to give all the goodness to the Creator. What does that mean? How do we do it?

M. Laitman: What is it? Simply, to try and give like to all the friends. You want all the good that you share with them, now you want to give it to the Creator. Try to think in this way.

Question (Women MAK 56): (44:38) What helps us rise above the evil so that the Creator will give the goodness?

M. Laitman: Desires. So that there would be a desire to rise above the evil in us. And then the Creator will help.

Question (Women Moscow 6): (45:12) A question from a friend. What is that strength that reveals the evil? Is it me or the Creator?

M. Laitman: The Creator.

Question (Women PT 33): (45:33) There's a desire to feel the deficiencies of each friend, and to ask from the Creator to fill them up. And the situation is, there is a friend, for example, whose deficiency I feel like my own, and it really enters in me entirely. And I really don't feel a difference. It's the friend or me. It's like the friend is me completely. And then there are friends that I don't even feel their deficiencies. Why is it so?

M. Laitman: This is the answer. It's not important to us. We have to work with the Hissaron that the Creator awakens in us.

Question (Turkiye 2): (46:32) Rabash writes here that it turns out that faith above reason causes him to feel within reason his enemy, the one who obstructs him from reaching the good. Is there a difference between this enemy, this hater, and the evil? Is it the same thing?

M. Laitman: Hater enemies, you want to understand and feel, and then you call him evil.

Student: So, I'm trying to feel that enemy?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Student: It feels like there's some difference.

M. Laitman: Yes, of course. Keep looking.

Question (Women MAK 25): (47:28) Each person by himself needs to take care of his deficiency to the Creator, or in the Ten we need to?

M. Laitman: Don't wait for this, Hissaron. If you don't have such a Hissaron, then there's no point in studying Kabbalah.

Student: Does each person help himself if he feels like he's being cooled off?

M. Laitman: He needs to connect to the friends and obey them, and then they'll pull him after them.

Student: So, the main thing is the personal aspiration. Thank you.

Question (Women Spain): (48:21) When a friend asks for help, in this world, is this faith above reason?

M. Laitman: No.

Question (Women Heb 2): (48:54) How do we take control of our reactions when the ego is hurt?

M. Laitman: When my ego is touched, how do I control my reaction? This is a problem. First, we need to pray to the Creator. First of all, pray to the Creator when I don't know that someone hates me. I want to connect with him so that he doesn't hate me. And that's why I ask the Creator so that between us he creates unity between us. This is a big correction when you do this.

Question (Women Dnepr): (50:35) You said we need to take the deficiencies from the world and pass them to the Creator. Which deficiencies do we need to take?

M. Laitman: What Hissaron can you take from the world and connect, relate to the Creator? Any Hissaron because it's all His work. He made it all.

Question (Women Kavkaz 1): (51:11) The work of adhesion. Is it just raising new records, the Reshimot, or is there more work to advance from that point?

M. Laitman: For now, this. It's worth reading the article again.

Re-reading article: (52:20) “The Order of the Work.”

In the beginning, one must believe above reason that the Creator wanted to do good to His creations. For this reason, He created His creations and installed in them the desire and yearning to receive pleasure. The reason is that this is the only Kli [vessel] to receive pleasure, since man enjoys only that for which he yearns. He can receive something to which he does not yearn, but he cannot enjoy it because the Kli for enjoyment is called “coveting,” “yearning,” etc.

However, this should be above reason, since when he looks within reason, he does not find His Providence over the world as benevolent. On the contrary, this is why it is said that we must believe above reason that this is so.

But in truth, if His guidance is only in a manner of good and doing good, why is this not felt within reason? We learned that it is because of the correction of the bread of shame. Therefore, as long as the created beings have no vessels of bestowal, they cannot see light and remain in the dark.

When one believes in the delight and pleasure that exists in above reason, he comes to consciously feel, to know the evil within him. That is, he believes that the Creator imparts such delight and pleasure, and although he sees all the good above reason, he achieves recognition. That is, he feels in all the organs the power of the evil that is found in receiving for oneself, which prevents him from receiving the abundance.

It follows that faith above reason causes him to feel his enemy within reason—who obstructs him from reaching the good.

Through these Kelim [vessels], the goal will be revealed in open Providence, meaning that there will be no need for the concealment because there will already be Kelim that are able to receive.

Question (Tbilisi): (55:53) On the one hand, I recognize my evil, because I'm not similar to the Creator, I cannot give. It's a big minus, but a big plus in me is the greatness of the Creator that I nonetheless want to give. If I receive something out of the greatness of the Creator, then I'm ready to give to Him. Is that the intention? Is that how it's built, out of the minus and the plus?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (Nikolaev-Sochi): (56:37) The article starts from this basis, this axiom, from faith above reason, that a person needs to believe above reason, that the Creator wants to benefit us. How does this happen, that everything is for the good? It's like this analogy. How is it for us that we see everything for the good?

M. Laitman: I don't know. Maybe it's very similar, but the thing is, faith above reason makes you look at everything that's happening in the world as an action of the Creator, an always positive one. Always positive.

Student: Can I say, that part of humanity nonetheless, lives according to this principle that nonetheless everything will be okay? It's a well-known concept.

M. Laitman: Yes, but they accept this within reason, not above reason.

Student: What's the difference?

M. Laitman: The difference is that if it's above reason, then you're connected to the Creator. And if it's within reason, it doesn't mean anything.

Student: So, these are just words, and you don't even feel it?

M. Laitman: Yes.

Question (MAK 39): (58:30) Can we say that faith above reason is the concept of None Else Besides Him, and it determines the path of correction?

M. Laitman: Yes, we can say it.

Question (Woman Kyiv): (58:51) There's an article written about the importance of the deficiency. And an entire wisdom says that there needs to be such a deficiency that at the moment I don't have. It's as if other people are just depicting to me, telling me that there's this huge sum of money, let's say a hundred bucks, this is in front of me. But I've never had that. I can't even picture it. They're just showing me this little thing that's next to me that I can grab and understand. So, what's more important for us in our work? To believe in the greatness of the goal that in the very end I'll have this hundred. Or to restrict myself to grab this little thing that's in front of me?

M. Laitman: Believe that what's ahead is not some small bit, but a million.

M. Laitman: That’s it friends, be well, until tomorrow.
