1.Rav’s Introduction: Yes, our whole work is only to see what we are receiving from the Creator correctly. Of course, everything we received, we received from him and of course what we receive from Him is only in order to bring us closer to the purpose. The Creator is giving us work, He is doing the work instead of us. What does He do? He brings us to the feeling of darkness, meaning that we have nothing to yearn for, or understand. There are no disturbances. What disturbances are there during the darkness? If all kinds of pleasures in food, sex, family, money, power, knowledge, illuminated for me, it would be much more difficult for me even if I were even capable of it. We have to think what conditions the Creator presents to us and around us that are ideal, great situations. R. Of course. Every complete prayer consists of those two parts, a request and gratitude.

R. It is written, “I wish you prayed all day” meaning to be in contact with the Creator. Our work is to be in both the request and in gratitude. We have to try to be in both.

R. If we want to advance then we summon the darkness in order to get closer to the Creator. It is like a good worker who asks the employer “what more work do you have for me?” The work seems like a reward and not a salary to those who want to work.

R. It all depends on the group and how much the group shows you that it is going towards it.
