Rabash. Article No. 17, (1986). The Agenda of the Assembly - 2

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:29) We are learning that the most important is connection. That all people, each of them have a soul, a part of the general soul of Adam HaRishon, in order to reach a connection with the Creator they need to connect among themselves. The connection is made according to tens. Ten is a round single number special and equivalent to the general, and that is why according to the order to the advice of the Kabbalists we build ourselves also in tens and each one has to make sure he has a ten, and that he'll be able to be included in it, and we'll all be in the ten “as one man in one heart” and his connection will be constant, existing, and ever strengthening, and the intensity of connection actually speaks of the degree in which they raise themselves until the complete correction that they will be “as one man in one heart.” We are mainly doing everything in order to connect, to come closer, and to build such a structure that we will all be as a ten, we will all be as one, and this matter is already in existence among Kabbalists, among people that want to rise and reach correction, and it's been in existence for thousands of years and accordingly, we have this counting of the world, of the people, and accordingly we can constantly measure ourselves to what degree we're in.

So, the main thing is the assembly, that we connect, we gather and try to connect between us, to be as one, to be a ten as one, ten, tens as one, and so on. More and more, until we reach a state that to the intensity of our connection brings us the sensation of the Creator and by that, we advance until the final correction where we will all be as one ten, all millions of people, billions of people. Of course, some of them will not know what they're doing, as it always is when there's a large number of participants, but we understand that such a connection, that we all feel ourselves as existing in one connection, in one ten, we all belong to the structure of Adam, and let's see how we can learn about the agenda of the assembly according to Rabash. Go ahead.

Reading Rabash (05:39) Article No. 17, (1986). The Agenda of the Assembly - 2

2. S. (30:24) In the introduction to the lesson I heard that we all come together here to form a common structure. We all have different qualities, so how will we build this foundation together, how will it happen? What is the mortar of construction if we're so different?

R. To start with we are very different. There isn't any person that is exactly identical to another person and that's how it is for everyone. It’s in all of nature that if there is a difference between one to the other then of course in everyone there is a different quality, a separate quality, even contradicting. That's why all of our work is above these qualities because we can't change them. We can only bring the upper force called the light that reforms that will connect us. Help connect us, that's it, and then we'll be able to be together, and according to the extent of connection and we reach this single body, this single form, the single desire called the soul of Adam HaRishon, and that's how we reach the purpose of creation. So we don't need to look at what's different between us, but to the extent, in spite of our differences, we connect together in one Kli, to one goal, to one Creator, and all of the differences that we have to start with that we can’t correct but only in connecting above it, so this difference will be for our benefit, we will profit from it, they will help us connect.

(33:19) In the beginning a few words, you told us a little bit about the structure of the ten and how important the ten is for us on the way and there's no doubt about it, but when we gather in such a place like in a congress, suddenly we feel this special force when you're in an environment which is beyond the ten. You hear the voices of the friends and you feel the special force that exists between us. My question is when you come to such a gathering you said that you have to acquire nourishment. What are these nourishments that I have to come with and to go home with?

R. When we gather we can get an impression of the same people that are in the convention, in this gathering, that we're not used to them, so the more we open ourselves up, according to the same conditions that we have in a ten but only now it's not towards the ten it's towards the thousand, 2000, 100,000 it doesn't matter how much, and we get an impression from them and accordingly we'll get great strength for connection between us and then when we connect between us to the ten we will feel how the matter of the ten is important.

S. These forces that I talked about now that I feel between the friends here, how important is it to take everything we have here from each other and bring it to the ten today. When we meet during the day, take this power and increase it even more between us in the connection between us?

R. Yes, when I connect between each and everyone who is here they need to try to be connected and get an impression to be in the connection and mutual bestowed towards each other and this is how we advance. Meaning that we have an opportunity here during the convention to be impressed by the thousands of people and this impression each one should take with him to his ten and then he will have a great power, several times greater than what he had before the congress.

S. We begin to feel this impression already very well and this is just the beginning. I believe that it's going to be a lot more, thank you.

R. Good luck. That same gift, that same force, the same special force that we can receive here during the convention and that's why we come. Even though everyone has a very small force it's impossible to even realize how small it is because when we connect the forces are included in one another and from them one big force is formed, so don't miss this opportunity. What we need in these days is only to get an impression from each other to the extent that each one has a collection of contradicting forces, foreign, but I want to receive this force, I want to be in this connection, okay?

4. S. (38:08) What exactly should we be impressed from?

R. From our friends and how they're different, and distant, also according to the distance and also according to connections, and according to everything that there is in them, that still they are drawn to be together.

S. Rabash writes the greater the multitude the more effective is the power of the society, meaning they produce a stronger atmosphere of the greatness and importance of the Creator. What should each one of us think about in order to inflate even more this atmosphere of the greatness of the Creator?

R. He wants us all to be connected, that everyone other than connecting that each one will have the desire of everyone else, and by that they can multiply themselves.

S. Why doesn’t it multiply itself all the time? What causes this atmosphere of connection that starts to come together and multiply itself to suddenly disappear?

R. Why disappear?

S. Why doesn’t it simply keep going more, and more, and more? Why doesn’t it kind of kick in and just grow?

R. It depends on our efforts.

S. The moment that we rise to a certain degree of connection, why doesn’t it keep inflating and growing?

R. Because we stopped demanding the ascent.

S. Each one, he writes that each one should take into account that he's not sitting with the assembly for special attention, not only does he lose himself but he corrupts the whole society. 

R. Yes.

S. A person is not always focused on the lesson, or the right intention, so by that does he actually cause harm to the whole society? In what? What kind of thought causes this corruption?

R. He's not connected, that's it. He's not connected to others, he's not connecting himself in the connection of everyone else, and by that, he loses.

S. What should we do when we leave the assembly and we see that we have nothing with which to revive our soul?

R. This sometimes happens when the Creator gives such a feeling from above to teach a person how to demand correctly.

S. In this convention we all come together into one ten, but what turns the ten to be as one? What makes all these different individuals become one?

R. One root from which they feed and they yearn for that same root and they want to connect to that same root, so they learn together, they talk, they make an effort to be closer to one another in all kinds of forms and by that they come closer.

5. S. (41:50) When a person leaves the assembly he should check what he came out with, how do you do this check?

R. You simply check according to the extent that he has in mind, heart, inclination, and consideration of the others, of the Creator. He checks how he improves in his connections in all of the groups with all of the tens or many tens together, and by that, he continues.

S. During the convention you're blessed with this feeling and it floods you, but when you come out of here suddenly it goes away. What is a person doing incorrectly if it goes away?

R. It's natural. It will always happen, even if it doesn't matter what the person will be, he needs to renew his impression.

S. He writes that a person should enjoy in the pleasure there is an element of equivalence of form that when you will enjoy from that in the convention to say that we had a great assembly of meeting with the friends of the world Kli and the greatness of importance and inspiration, but you feel it still, but seemingly you swallow it into yourself. So, how can you enjoy this so that it won't become a Klipot, a shell, but it will turn into equivalence of form?

R. You need to think about how you not only increase the Kli but that the attitude between you will grow.

6. S. (44:19) I asked you yesterday about going back to my ten, is it possible to, isn't this how I correct the shattering, I go back to how it was before and I try to ask and see what was wrong with the friends and I try to correct it?

R. Yes, that is the way. Why?

S. For that I have to go back to my ten.

R. That doesn't depend on me it depends on you and your ten.

7. S. (45:03) If a person diverts his attention from the purpose of the assembly, he causes harm to himself as well to the society, how can we take responsibility for this focus because no more of the thoughts go through a person every second, so how can we take responsibility for staying focused on the purpose of the assembly? In an absolute manner?

R. Each one, one will help his friend, if each one thinks of the other he will be in the same thought. Try. Try and awaken everything.

S. Should we feel fear, or concern that my thoughts might run away?

R. Your thought escapes every single moment. It's an act that happens non-stop. If a person isn't willing to maintain this thought to this one man in heart, to strengthen, to overcome, to connect more and more, nothing will help. He himself needs to kind of hold on, lock his teeth onto it, and maintain his thoughts without any limit. Then he will begin to reveal how his desires are small, how he is small, how his thoughts are just very, very, small, and that brings him to despair and despair brings him to a request to the Creator that will help him, that will strengthen him, that will raise him, that will show him how to overcome the evil inclination, the laziness, and by that he'll grow. But of course, eventually, he'll fall a few times under his own load and then he learns how to cope with it.

S. Is there a way to help each other in that?

R. Yes, you need to help first of all with an example.

S. An external example?

R. External example.

S. What can we do inside in order to help?

R. Within, we can't. We don't have an internal spiritual connection. We're on the way to it.

S. It's clear that we all have the same problem, the same challenge.

R. Yes.

8. S. (48:52) Rabash says that we have to scrutinize the laws and the matters of the king. I'm asking do we have to hear it from you, scrutinize it in the ten, or in the convention?

R. This and that. Also with me, but mainly with the ten. And scrutinies of the friends. Okay.

9. S. (49:41) I heard you say more than once that we have to check the present state and the desirable state and pray for that. I also heard that a person goes through stages of receiving in order to receive, bestowing an order to bestow, and receiving in order to bestow. In my ears at least this whole article as I hear it, and also the questions of the friends, the way I feel, we're always talking about bestowing in order to receive, meaning everything here is about what we get out of it that we're going to bestow? R. We have to go through states of despair because they are the coarseness upon which we have to keep ourselves, keep ourselves as broken, unworthy, lazy, etc.. However, along with that, we need to be connected and discover the connection between us, and as much as we have a gap between this scattering versus the connection. By that, we establish a new more powerful vessel in which the light can be revealed. The light cannot be revealed if it doesn't connect between darkness and light If it doesn't connect between these two opposite states. S. For example, a friend spoke at some gathering that we had yesterday. Let's say a person comes and makes a lot of effort to come here to the convention, the question is what advances a person more? A feeling, wow, we are bestowing, it's all nice and good, or a feeling of sudden awakening, hold on, actually, everything is within my ego, and I need to ask for a correction?

R. It has to be the middle line, I'm doing it out of my ego because for the time being this is my vessel but however from them, I gradually come out.

10. S. (53:09) First of all I would like to thank the Israeli Kli. They made a beautiful meal for the world Kli, they really did good for us. Second, you said that in every ten there are, let's say, the same qualities within people, there are tens that have friends that all the world Kli knows. The question is how to strengthen a ten if there is such a star with known qualities, also how does that strengthen the ten and how does it strengthen the world Kli, why are we enabling such people?

R. I don't know, certainly in each and every ten there are people who are an example for individually rising above themselves toward connection with others, mutual help, supporting the friends, it's in each and every ten more or less, so if you take such people as an example you are more successful.

11. S. (54:40) He writes that you need to arrange the praise of the Creator and then pray that you have something to give but He also wants to give. He says you need to do the same with the friends and so you need to then demand. What is after praising the group that you need to demand? What is in the group?

R. The praise of the society, well the Creator chose them, first of all. Let's start with that. The Creator chose them so that they are those people who are worthy of connecting between them and reaching the end of correction.

S. The great Kabbalist we heard Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma, is able to get into the part of society and extract something them, that's important to him, and then here's how to get this sustenance as we read in the article of the gathering of friends, so what does he want to get from the connection with them?

R. Only connection. only connection and becoming incorporated, even though they're small, a lot smaller than Rabbi Yossi, however, he knows because he's great how to bow down before them and how to receive from them and awakening, and impression, connection. This is how he reaches the connection of the group.

S. It's like the Creator divided this soul in such a way that no one can, if it doesn't connect to everyone, he can't do it alone?

When each one realizes that an individual cannot achieve anything, that there must be ten people who are connected, and they're connected not just like that, but they annul themselves before the Creator, before the upper force, before the upper light, and this light works on them and it arranges them, correctly, and then inside of them they can see the correct pattern or mold.

S. He doesn't need to wait for everyone to have attainment, to have a correct intention, He arranges them, that it's already in them?

R. Yes. This is how it is with each and every one of us. If he manages to annul himself before the friends then to some extent it happens the same with him as it occurred with Rabbi Yossi.

12. S. (58:25) He writes if we don't have joy while we're doing the commandment of the Creator, so even if he is in order to bestow that's not considered equivalence of form, how important is it for each one to show in the effort toward the friend that he's in joy?

R. It's very important because joy is a result of success. Even in that, a person does not attain the goal he knows that he is about to attain it, on the right path, so it's good. That each one should help his friend and each one should show the others, show himself as full of spirit, full of light, full of forces, and an uplifted spirit.

S. You say that one of the main roles of each one that comes now to the convention is to show joy, to uplift, to inspire?

R. Yes yes, externally each and every one of us is capable of and must, must behave in such a way.

S. Now to understand this matter of joy I spoke to two friends here who showed us how excited they are and grateful they are for the standing that we're in. Is this an example that I can say the friend showed joy and awakened me?

R. You can say it or not say it, it depends on what you truly feel.

S. I want to learn how to show joy towards the friends.

R. Well, first of all, try to feel joy. Awaken yourself and then you will know how to awaken others.

13. S. (01:00:36) I understand that this article was written for friends that gather and accordingly they can determine the order and the direction. At the end of the article, Rabash writes about the importance and the greatness of the friends and then speaks of what we can add to the love of friends. It is also written that the decision needs to be taken from all the friends that there's not a matter here a forcefulness and of course, when we discuss something we need to make a decision that when we gather in what we call a gathering of friends we do not make any decisions we're just happy for this gathering and what he emphasizes here at the end of the article it's not really related to the types of gatherings that we have.

R. Why? We gathering here to create a great force between us. We have to build between us a great force that will pull us to Arvut, a mutual guarantee, where each one is obligated to care for the others so that I do not make any movement into the right or left in my head not in my mind not in my body in no way except if it is in order to encourage and uplift my friends. In general, this is the most important.

14. S. (01:03:11) We get from the article that praising the Creator and praising the group are two different things. Does one come before the other or can we replace one with the other? R. We can change these things. We can connect them to the first or the second, second or the first, it doesn't matter so long as we always know we have to check everything towards our mutual connection.

S. Is it like in the awakening from below that we need to raise from the ten, or all the groups to the Creator, and then when it comes back down again it works in the opposite way, is that an awakening from Above that comes to us?

R. Well, it depends on how we will feel, how it's happening, how it's working. We will learn that.

15. S. (01:05:10) We spoke about the fact that we need, as Rabash writes, that we all need to be attached to an extent to the goal of the gathering. I see that it doesn't matter whether it's in a random ten or daily. There are always one or two friends or maybe more, that are always better and there’s some detachment. They are not able to hear and the society presses them, and you can see that they're making an effort, you said an example is all you can show them, but there's an inner desire that their states, their vessels will change, and they will enter and they will make the greatest overcoming, maybe there's an advice how to treat these friends and include them in the ten.

R. Truly try like you are saying correctly, feel them inside, they are inside of us, and that we are working together with them.

S. Will it always be like that in the ten?

R. Almost throughout the whole entire path.

S. How to express love to the same friends you weighed the Creator to influence them through the internality that we're trying to pray for. Can we reach out to them externally so that it will influence them correctly?

R. By an example not more than that, by an example.

16. S. (01:07:30) To the extent that we are inspired by the society we can say that we are inspired by the Creator.

R. Yes.

S. Do we discover Him like that, His light?

R. Yes.

17. S. (01:07:50) A person from the ego reaches his assembly, a gathering of friends, and from that he will get the strength for the next gathering, but where is that moment where a person doesn’t work from within the ego? If we meet at a convention?

R. If he doesn’t work within the ego, it’s only if he is given such power from above. We meet in the convention, it doesn't matter if we meet in the convention or not, it can be in any form at any time.

S. When do we do actions of bestowal, when does it happen?

R. Whenever we're capable of it each and every moment.

18. S. (01:08:48) He wrote there are times in the gathering of friends that each one feels the flavor in the gathering and then it doesn't occur to him with that feeling I feel when I go home now. Does the flavor of this joy, does it harm the goal? How do these things, how do they exist?

R. One more time again.

S. He wrote that a person feels flavor in the assembly, he doesn't ask himself with what he goes home. How, first of all, does one cancel the other?

R. The purpose of the assembly should always be before me, so I look at it and I'm always drawn to it, and if all kinds of thoughts and desires awaken me I'm happy, I'm connected with the friends and I'm being drawn to the same goal even more.

S. Make it an effort so that even the joy does not detach, cut the string this line?

R. Yes of course but this is something that is not simple.

19. S. (01:10:46) Maybe during the convention we should have a gathering and to ask ourselves these questions like with what benefits are we coming out of these lessons with? Should we do it in the conditional as well to raise this question to help each other?

R. You can do that, try it even now, go ahead if there are any questions to the society from each one do it. I do not see that people are ready for that.

20. S. (01:11:40) Regarding the convention I understand that how the convention is built as a physical as in a virtual it does not enable to connect Tens together in hundreds, thousands. My question is: is there something that can limit the potential of our attack to the convention?

R. First of all we need to see if we are connected. If we have such a connection then we need to be concerned about how we raise this connection to a degree where it becomes what determines our state. Then we should only care about that. What do I need in order for my connection to rise to the spiritual level so that it would capture everyone, include everyone. This is the most important, is this clear?

21. S. (01:13:12) What approach do you recommend to come to the connection with? Like Rabash says check this, check that, to always have the greatness of the Creator, so you will see what every friend has, constantly being in control or are we coming like with the approach. What am I coming with this for? Do I annul, do I include what?

R. We already talked a lot about it today. We need to be incorporated with a view of the society and the general state of the society because if I become incorporated in them, then I gradually come out of my own Egypt. This is how I reach the safe heaven.

S. I would like to know what to do with it in the article we just read, to check with what Rabash recommends, to check with the friend has, to check with what the goal is. We should come out with something, he constantly tells us to be in control of the parts we have in the convention?

S. This examination will help us in connection or it won't help us?

R. It will help us.

22. S. (01:15:28) Why as much as the group is greater, I'm smaller?

R. That is how it appears to you.

S. No matter who I am and what I am, mainly the Creator is greater than me, infinitely greater, is that correct?

R. Of course it is correct.

23. S. (01:15:55) I wanted to ask you about the example of the two friends in the boat, one drills a hole the other says don't do it, because he does not understand that it influences the entire boat. Is this how it is in reality? If someone is drilling a hole, but the Ten is strong.

R. What do you mean if the whole Ten is strong and there's a hole in the Ten? It's not strong, They just don't identify it, the one who detects it first of all he is the strong one. He's the one who feels that they are beginning to drown and what to do then? The friends should jump on the one who is really the hole and explain to him in different forms that this is something that is unacceptable to them at all. They can advance to their goal only by keeping the wholeness of the Ten, the wholeness of the boat.

S. How do we know that it is drilling a hole? What calculation should we make even if I could do it or someone else? Because it is also inner work, how can I change if I'm drilling a hole or not?

R. Any person who does not take care of the boat of the ship, he is actually drilling a hole. Only one who thinks that he must keep must be guarding the ten, the ship, that this ship depends on him and that if he does not carry the whole Ten to the shore they will not reach the shore. They will drown. Only those people actually are working correctly. We should perform actions all the time that fix the ship.

24. S. (01:19:22) What to do if the friends you want to come back to don't relate to you, they are indifferent to you, what do you do with that? How to correct that? How to ask? How to advance?

R. Why can't they talk to you?

S. I hurt them but that was a long time ago. It's over.

R. Why is it over? Why do you think it's been a long time ago? It's over.

S. Because a long time has passed.

R. That is according to your calendar and according to theirs, it's not.

S. What can I do then to fix it?

R. First of all you have to talk to them, you have to tell them to listen to this and that time ago. I was not okay, forgive me. Don't feel that a week has passed, let's say, because they got so hurt from you that to them it was like yesterday.

S. I tried to turn into them a few times.

R. That is your pride also how many times did I try and who knows what's happening. You have to do something about it. Talk to them, talk to the people. Maybe you did such a thing that is very deep and horrible that you cannot ask forgiveness for.

25. S. (01:21:53) It's hard to imagine the responsibility of the friends that have here in the central group, in the feeling of responsibility to have in the lessons and in other actions. In maintaining the home here, in the house, it is felt all the time. How in the world Kli can we somehow assist so that this responsibility will be distributed more among everyone?

R. You said well. Indeed we need to share this responsibility, how to carry it out and what to do about it. This could help everyone and a lot. Start talking about it. Now you have time, now, after the lesson, before the meal, after the meal, start discussing this. 27. S. (01:26:04) I have a question about staying focused during the lesson. There's a big difference on the level of my focus when we are here opposite Rav, in Petach Tikva versus when I'm sitting far away in some other place in the world when we are virtual. I wanted to ask how to work with this difficulty and stay focused when we are far away and virtual?

R. Try and connect with the friends that each one will care for the others and that will help me to be focused. I have no option to do anything else. You can activate all kinds of exercises. You can do all kinds of actions in the lessons that open more focus and more participation. You really need to work on it.

28. S. (01:27:20) In the article gives this allegory about one who is in the boat and one drills under them. Does it speak about someone who doesn't care that he's drilling beneath himself? The question is the one who is drilling the hole is it because of his efforts or these things that he's doing or is it coming from the Creator? What exactly does this allegory explain to us?

R. It all comes from the Creator, it all comes from the Creator in order for us to learn how to be in one Kli to be included together tied together and to be in one Creator.

29. S. (01:28:36) We touched earlier about the connection between the Tens and the world Kli and we also asked about it, if there's a friend that whom we do not manage to show him love we talked about it in Integral Education that even a child can not hear what the parents tell him but if the neighbor tells him something, and it is the same thing that parents wanted to tell him, he would listen to her. I wanted to ask if there is a way between the Tens that we can support each other in such a way that a friend will take an example or need for an adjacent Ten and will be more inspired than it was from his own Ten so he would be able to rise to a higher spirit?

R. We need to try all kinds of influences on the friends and to see what inspires him more. Of course from foreign people it inspires more on one hand, and on the other hand people who work closer our impression is deeper. We need to see how to influence. The main thing is the influence of the light that reforms that comes to us only on the condition that we are included in the writings of Rabash. I believe in that more than anything else.

30. S. (01:30:18) He writes that we should know that the minimum of the many is two. Two friends sit together and think about how to increase the greatness of the Creator, the importance of the Creator. They already have the strength to get the greatness of the Creator. As a strategy I want to know if each one of us has a friend that he works with more tightly and naturally it happens. My question is if the same two or three friends create this power and then bring it to the convention as their goal. I'm not working with these two three friends to bring this force that we created to the rest of the society as a strategy. Is this recommended?

R. They are not coming to the convention.

S. They are coming, I work with them closer than the rest of the Ten. My question is as a strategy, the same friends that are working very tightly with one another to bring that to the group the strength that forms between them?

R. No, I will try to be together with everyone. In the Ten it doesn't quite work. I understand it. There needs to be two or three friends that are the closest but it is desirable that I will build the same form of connections with everyone. In the Ten it's not good if we have some that are  more and some less.

S. Then what do we do that's natural?

R. Yes, I understand seemingly we're not able to hold on to Ten but from the side of nature we are able to hold on to Ten.

S. If their entire intention is that all the Ten will receive for one day are able to arrange, isn't that considered?

R. Well, it is considered but still it is what is present and what is desirable. When it's present with them I feel that we really are together with one heart and with the other seven or eight I don't feel that, right? I mean also but not the same.

I hear that we are going in different directions. How do we come to it? When do we come to it? Through what, with what?
