Reading The Gate Of Intentions For Passover: (00:37) “In the exile in Egypt,...”

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (12:01) Can you explain what these commentaries are? What is the commentary? What is he trying to tell us here? 

M. Laitman: The ARI wrote this.

Student: I understand, but I'm asking what is it? ARI wrote these commentaries, so what are these? 

M. Laitman: For us to understand better what's going on. 

Student: Better understand what's going on in what sense, because he connects here between the reality of our festivals, the Sefirot, and the worlds and…?

M. Laitman: No, no, no, it's not about our holidays or anything. Just the changes that are in the upper system. So, we are learning how this can be connected to us or not connected to us, in which way. 

Student: So, he's speaking about a good day, some operation in the upper worlds?

M. Laitman: Of course it's not according to your calendar.

Student: Okay, and what I as a student am supposed to get out of these commentaries other than just listening to them and relating to them like to the Zohar or the Study of the Ten Sefirot, where I don't understand anything? 

M. Laitman: What do you mean, Zohar, TES is nothing? These are books that were given to you so you can eventually identify with them, with what's written in them, that you can connect to them, that you can build your internality according to these books. 

Student: The act of building my internality according to these books, beyond listening and maybe wanting to feel, what more can I do? 

M. Laitman: The Ten, all kinds of things, what we're doing. 

Student: The Ten, how is the Ten connected to the third commentary we just read? 

M. Laitman: Without the Ten you can't attain this.

Student: Okay, so I'm saying that we're talking about the intention during this study? 

M. Laitman: Yes. 

Student: So, the intention during the study, which we say builds me from within, what does it build?

M. Laitman: It helps you attain these degrees in practice.

Student: How does a person change within when he studies these things? 

M. Laitman: He becomes the degrees themselves.

Student: In other words, our learning, in the end, will build within us the worlds we read about? 

M. Laitman: Of course, it will reveal them. 

Student: In other words, they are there already, except I don't…? 

M. Laitman: Yes. 

Question (Petah Tikva Center): (15:14)  Baal HaSulam says that when we learn and hear these names of the upper system, we draw on ourselves surrounding light that brings us to the goal. When we really want to understand what is written, these operations we just learned, did it happen? Is it happening all the time? Is there some sort of a cycle, like in our world?

M. Laitman: No, it doesn't revolve around like that, like a carousel, and you jump on it and keep going with it but every person has an opportunity to draw these lights, these actions, to participate in them, and in this way ascend on the whole ladder.

Student: Is our goal eventually to attain it and feel it, these operations, each one according to the root of his soul? 

M. Laitman: Yes. 

Student: And he says that Passover night is basically above nature, as much as I understood from what we read, and it doesn't depend on our prayers, it's just something the Upper One does at once, and that's it. This I didn't understand.

M. Laitman: Me neither. We have to want to understand this more and more, and at one time, eventually, we will attain. That's it. Well, let's keep going.
